00:06:18.380 train and they're going to jump off. Okay. And so when you have people, whether it be a business
00:06:25.240 partner, a manager, an employee, this, that, the other, that don't believe in what you're doing or
00:06:31.520 can't get focused or can't get motivated, a lot of times that has to do with you not being able to
00:06:36.800 paint the fucking picture in a compelling manner. So what I mean by that is you should be able to draw
00:06:44.360 on a fucking whiteboard within 10 minutes, a very compelling vision of how, not only what you're
00:06:52.740 going to do, but how you're going to do it and where these people fit in and where the opportunities
00:06:58.360 are. Because at the end of the day, guys, a lot of people are very selfless in the way that they
00:07:02.780 want to contribute and be a part of something. But at the end of the day, you got to take care of
00:07:07.280 them. They've got to be able to understand and, and see a place for themselves, or they're not going to
00:07:12.280 fucking work. And guys, this is digging into a further issue, which is how do I create a culture?
00:07:17.980 How do I create a situation where I have all my people in my organization rowing the right direction?
00:07:23.900 Okay. And in the beginning, it might just be one business partner, but as you go, it's going to,
00:07:27.460 you're going to have to have multiples of dozens of employees. They're going to help you, you know,
00:07:32.280 build this thing that you're trying to build. And if you don't get these guys rowing in the same
00:07:38.140 direction. And I use the analogy of a boat. All right. If you got one half, the boat rowing one
00:07:42.780 speed, you got the other half boat rowing a slower speed or a faster speed. Guess what happens? You go in
00:07:47.460 fucking circles. All right. You don't get anywhere. You don't get where you want to go. You are the
00:07:51.880 fucking orchestra conductor. You are the, you are the guy calling the shots. You're
00:07:57.440 your job is to paint the picture is to get everybody to rowing the same, not only the same
00:08:02.720 direction, but the same pace so that you guys can move along and do what it is you're trying
00:08:08.580 to do. And you cannot do that. If you're constantly having to motivate because you're not good at
00:08:14.720 painting a compelling vision and showing people where they fit in. And guys, now let me make this

00:08:26.160 people and you bullshit them about where they can fit in their career opportunities, one, it's
00:08:30.220 immoral. All right. You're wasting people's time to, they will find out that you lied to them. And
00:08:36.760 whenever they find out that you lied to them and they start thinking you lied, they're going to
00:08:40.140 fucking destroy your fucking business with everybody. They fucking know three. Okay. It
00:08:45.880 goes back to being immoral again. All right. Because dude, you guys have to think your customer,
00:08:52.260 your employees and your people in your organization should not be thought of as somebody who is there
00:08:57.440 to serve you. You should be there to serve them. You should be thinking about their best interests.
00:09:02.420 You should be thinking about how we're going to create a company that creates career for these
00:09:06.240 people. Okay. It's moral leadership. It's the right thing to do. And when you do the right thing,
00:09:11.120 people know you're doing the right thing for them for the right reasons. They'll come to work and
00:09:14.640 bust fucking ass 10 times harder for you. All right. So I know this is like an in-depth,
00:09:19.320 you know, more in-depth answer than just like a one or two sentence answer to how do I motivate
00:09:24.500 somebody. But we're digging into deeper issues. We're digging into issues where, you know,
00:09:30.120 the reason people aren't motivated likely has to do with your communication skills, not being on point.
00:09:36.020 And if you can't, like I said, stand at a whiteboard for 10 or 15 minutes and not only draw out where
00:09:41.520 you're going, how you're going to get there and where everybody fits in to your organization,
00:09:45.160 you're going to have a very difficult time getting anywhere ever. And I'm not talking about just
00:09:51.020 getting up there and say, Oh, we're going to be a fucking $20 million company. Everybody fucking
00:09:55.960 says that. Oh yeah. One day we're going to make millions of dollars. Everybody says that you've got
00:10:01.160 to get up there and say, this is how we're going to do this. This is the, this is a solution that we're
00:10:05.860 going to provide. This is how we're going to get customers to get the results they're looking for,
00:10:10.780 whether it be a product, a service, um, or anything else. And this is how we're going to
00:10:16.400 help people. And by helping people in this way, we're going to earn money. And when we earn money,
00:10:21.980 we're going to grow the company in this way. And you have to be able to dot these things out on a
00:10:25.580 whiteboard and connect the dots for people because most people can't see what the fuck it is that you
00:10:31.120 see. So if you're having trouble with motivating, if you're having trouble, like you're, if you feel
00:10:34.880 like you're constantly having to drag people down, it's because you are not a good enough
00:10:39.040 artist when it comes to painting the picture of where the fuck you're going, you need to learn
00:10:42.760 how to do that better. So a, you probably have a bad business partner B because a business partner
00:10:49.640 should bring a contribution to you. Like if you're going to start a business and you're thinking like,
00:10:54.520 Oh, I'm just going to do it. My friend, unless that friend brings something that you don't have,
00:10:58.180 you shouldn't be a business partner with them. Unless they bring some knowledge, work ethic,
00:11:01.720 money, uh, connections, you know, things that you don't have, there's no reason for you to go into
00:11:07.080 business with them. All right. That's where 99% of small businesses totally fuck up. Okay. Now
00:11:13.440 they're going to say, people are going to say, well, you, you've, you've made 18 years with the
00:11:16.680 business partner. Yeah. But there's things that he does that I can't do. And there's things that I
00:11:20.500 do that he can't do. So it falls into what I said. When you need somebody to do certain skills,
00:11:24.740 you've got to find somebody that compliments you, uh, B, um, you know, if you are having
00:11:31.840 consistent problem with people motivated, you've got to learn how to fucking paint the picture.
00:11:34.860 So guys realize that being a CEO is not just about numbers. It's not just about walking around,
00:11:41.860 being fucking big boss, man. It's about being a literal conductor of the orchestra and a problem
00:11:47.340 solver, uh, at all fucking times. All right. And unless you're ready to sign up for that kind of deal,
00:11:53.360 don't become a business owner. Don't try to be a CEO, become a highly valued piece of an
00:11:58.860 organization that is highly paid. That is very, very, very beneficial to most people.
