REAL AF with Andy Frisella - The Power and Potential of One Human Being, with Andy Frisella - MFCEO65

00:00:00.000 what is up guys you're listening to the mf ceo project i'm andy i'm your host and i am 0.96

00:00:14.220 the motherfucking ceo i'm here with my co-host vaughn the pastor of disaster 0.85

00:00:20.140 vaughn the impaler vaughn diesel what else we got i don't know but you know that over the last 0.99

00:00:26.820 your favorite one is vaughn diesel i think it is or vaughn halen vaughn halen john claude vaughn

00:00:30.960 dom i know yeah i think your favorite one is vaughn diesel because you secretly wish you were

00:00:35.460 as badass as vaughn i do don't the thing is is you're more badass than vaughn diesel a little

00:00:41.140 bit you've got the power of god yeah that's true that's true but don't you think vin diesel

00:00:45.140 not vaughn diesel but vin diesel don't isn't he kind of a poor man's rock man i don't know i think

00:00:51.940 he's definitely not on a rock level right i mean but he's kind of disappeared hasn't he i mean

00:00:57.780 when was the last time he did a movie i don't think he only does the fast and furious movies i think he

00:01:02.440 does disney movies now or something seriously he's done well though yeah i'm not gonna hate on the

00:01:07.540 dude's game so in the last week i've had two different people come up to me well one was a

00:01:12.900 waitress the other one was a guy at the chiropractor said hey are you vaughn the impaler

00:01:18.640 so the only way that they know who i am has to be the fact that they're seeing me on snapchat

00:01:25.760 your snapchat oh you think so not mine yeah no because you're not doing any like secret impaling

00:01:31.420 that we don't know about are you no no no no no behind the seat no ninja impaling no no ninja

00:01:36.740 impaling no stealth impaling core values yeah it would it would very much so but how's the new baby

00:01:41.900 uh she's actually kind of the dream baby she doesn't fuss very much dude you just cursed yourself 0.98

00:01:47.260 it's like i know i know yeah i know but that thing's still hung over from coming out the vagina 1.00

00:01:52.540 it's still you know there's probably some truth to that you're still what he she's still waiting 0.95

00:01:57.540 for sunglasses yeah you know she's like getting used to the sun and the air and you're like oh 0.99

00:02:02.840 she's calm just wait it's true you just fucked yourself my i did my older daughter is uh handling 0.99

00:02:08.300 it better than we thought she would she's not trying to like suffocator with a pillow as far as we 0.99

00:02:12.940 know but she's pretty she's pretty intelligent so maybe she's got this really well worked out plan 0.64

00:02:17.320 yeah so but uh what are we talking about today well so two weeks ago obviously we had lewis

00:02:24.280 on the podcast lewis house and uh for those of you who don't know we all went out to lunch had a steak

00:02:30.580 what you have i forget what you had but i think i had a steak yeah i think i think we all i got a salad

00:02:35.280 yeah salad yeah that's right because you're doing your transformation so i i did that so anyway uh

00:02:40.840 lewis asked andy about his plans for a book and andy's response was basically i got like plans for

00:02:47.920 12 books yeah so much information that we want to cover and then lewis actually said well what you

00:02:52.420 know if you could if you could share anything like what's the most important thing you want to share

00:02:56.000 with people and i remember just really taking note that andy took a deep breath kind of looked out the

00:03:01.520 window and said you know i just want people to know that they have far far more potential than

00:03:06.460 they even know you know and uh and so i got thinking about that so i went over your stuff

00:03:11.500 and started distilling these principles and really i i came up with some different things that you

00:03:17.220 believe about human beings and so i wanted to get your thoughts on that yeah that's cool you know riff

00:03:23.200 and yeah man breathe fire and call down thunder yeah we can do it so at the risk and basically what

00:03:29.960 this means and tyler can attest to this this means vaughn didn't do his homework and got an agent got

00:03:36.620 no agenda for the show no look at this look at these look at all these pages tyler look at all 0.74

00:03:41.680 these pages that is come on that's fucking no these are my notes no these are my notes uh tyler what do 0.99

00:03:48.140 you think i think that you told vaughn a long time ago that you love an outline with bullet points he 0.94

00:03:53.300 says he's got one i guess they're right here no i think that's from like no that's some other 0.80

00:03:57.500 bullshit no this is written in my blood yeah um no the potential and power of every human being 0.68

00:04:02.920 you know so so we're fancy yeah yeah yeah so i i will say that you know that i suppose there's a 1.00

00:04:08.660 danger of a unicorn trotting in any moment if we're gonna be so positive yeah man this but

00:04:13.580 you do like to say you are not special you know you say that a lot and i think people me personally

00:04:20.440 i'm not no you like to tell people you are not special no but i also believe i'm not special

00:04:26.080 right right yeah of course yeah yeah well and and i i think the astric holes met you know mess up

00:04:30.700 what you mean by that but what your point is is that the what i've inferred over the over the last

00:04:35.940 year is that you aren't special just for existing you have to do something significant with your life

00:04:40.640 but you also do believe on the other hand that each person is special in the sense that they have

00:04:46.320 an incredible potential and so i guess yeah but if every person has incredible potential it's not

00:04:52.020 special well right you're not unique in that regard right so like dude i get people come up

00:04:57.740 to me all the time and they're like oh my god andy and like you know they get a little i don't know

00:05:03.760 wound up about it because they're fans of the show or whatever and they're like oh dude you know it's

00:05:08.120 incredible you're doing this and this and this and this and i'm all i'm thinking when they're saying

00:05:11.720 is like dude you could do the same fucking thing right you know what i'm saying right like there is 0.98

00:05:15.600 literally nothing about me that is special other than i practiced what i preach for 20 fucking 0.98

00:05:24.340 years right you know what i mean right there's nothing about what i do this special there's not 0.91

00:05:28.720 even people like oh but your delivery is so cool dude when i first started it was fucking terrible 0.98

00:05:35.100 it's like anything you know when i first started speaking i was bad when i first started business i was

00:05:40.380 bad you know right i mean everything it's just i just had an ability to not quit at things right

00:05:49.780 because i'm bad at them and i think that's where you know people get hung up in that um cycle of or a

00:05:57.500 habit that is quitting on anything that becomes hard or anything they're bad at and you know they

00:06:05.820 believe then they start to believe that they lack whatever it is right that you know is required to

00:06:12.460 be successful when in reality all it is is them giving up too soon and not understanding you know

00:06:18.640 the kind of persistence and grit that it takes to go through the quote-unquote death valley period of 1.00

00:06:24.920 learning something you know what i mean right and and it's perpetuated by a lot of these motherfuckers 1.00

00:06:29.600 out there who try to tell everybody i've you know speaking as if i'm them i've got this gift that 0.99

00:06:36.280 nobody has i'm i truly believe i'm the greatest blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah 0.99

00:06:41.500 blah dude what the fuck ever man right there you know what i mean right do what one man can do 0.98

00:06:46.680 another man can do period and that's it and and people will argue with me about that they'll say no no 0.99

00:06:53.460 no you don't understand you've got something special they'll be trying to pay me a compliment

00:06:57.460 and i appreciate that i really do but it's not the truth she's not and it would i could sit here 0.95

00:07:04.860 and pretend like oh yeah i've got all these fucking special things that nobody has but i fucking don't 0.98

00:07:09.520 do i put my pants on one leg at a fucking time dude half the days i get up in the morning i don't want 0.99

00:07:14.480 to go to fucking work you know i i it's all the same yeah you have bad days dude terrible days yeah 0.99

00:07:21.340 you came in here pretty pissed i was like no i'm not pissed i just don't tolerate mediocrity 0.99

00:07:25.980 isn't that right tyler well you do tolerate it i mean tyler's still you know got a job with you

00:07:32.680 guys oh look at that oh look at that i could see the fire brewing right now on tyler he's gonna

00:07:39.080 fucking unleash okay right when you least expect it i know he is okay so but in light of what you're 0.87

00:07:44.340 saying be specific though when you say like everybody can be successful what do you believe 0.97

00:07:49.940 that each human being possesses in and of themselves that enables them to be successful and to be

00:07:55.620 significant because i don't believe there's anything magical about success it's about following

00:07:59.760 a plan just as if you were to whip out a road map and follow a route from st louis where we are to

00:08:06.620 los angeles and and you're gonna walk there all right um if you walk to uh kansas city and then

00:08:16.400 fucking say oh man i'm never gonna get there and turn around and go back to st louis and decide to 0.89

00:08:21.000 start over and you end up doing that your whole life you're never gonna get where you want to go 0.99

00:08:25.060 and it's that simple and i p success i've said this a number of times recently it's an equation

00:08:32.680 it's one plus one equals two it's a plus b equals c it's cause effect it's not magic and so many people

00:08:42.040 want to sell you on the magic because they have a product to sell you and it's like you know what's

00:08:47.480 behind the curtain oh pay me a hundred bucks and i'll show you there's nothing there you know what

00:08:52.540 i mean and so my personal you know belief and i believe i'm right is that anybody has the potential

00:09:01.860 but the problem is is that you know most people don't grow up in a situation where they're told

00:09:09.140 they could be great most people grow up in a situation where they're expected to be mediocre

00:09:13.580 their entire life they're expected to go with the norm they're expected to go with the flow

00:09:17.660 they're expected to do what their parents did and that's all they see so that's all they see for

00:09:24.240 themselves and because that is all they see for themselves they never consider that there is

00:09:30.540 potential beyond those limitations right so a lot of it has to do with the way we were raised and i

00:09:37.040 happen to be raised and if you want to say i possess something special i will say this i was raised

00:09:42.140 by parents who did not put me in that box they told me and believed in me and truly pushed me

00:09:50.180 to be better than they ever were at what they did and um you know i'm thankful for that most people

00:09:58.960 don't have that most people have parents that have too big of an ego to let their kids be better than

00:10:04.960 them you know what i mean uh-huh yeah and um and they're too insecure to let their kids be better 0.67

00:10:10.180 which is the opposite of what it should be right and our parents right now are listening to my 0.98

00:10:14.100 bullshit you don't know what i do for my kid well you know what do you tell your kid that he could 0.99

00:10:19.220 be fucking anything or do you tell your kid that you know when you grow up you got to go to college 1.00

00:10:23.800 and you got to get a fucking regular job and you got to do this this and this because you you're 0.99

00:10:27.120 unintentionally instilling limits whether you realize it or not by what you say and you know uh 0.98

00:10:33.780 do you think that most parents fall into actually 100 on one side or the other either they're 100

00:10:40.480 i think they intentionally goodheartedly want the best for their kids but i think they unintentionally

00:10:46.000 instill the limits by speaking what is their reality not what is reality right you know what i'm saying

00:10:53.180 yeah but what i'm saying they ultimately want to play it safe well no well yeah but that's

00:10:57.460 yes but what i'm trying to say here is this i love i i'm i'm a parent i love my kids i want my

00:11:05.080 kids to be president of the united states right and we have a conversation with little johnny and

00:11:09.660 little johnny says dad i want to be president and you say oh that's great you could be anything you 0.99

00:11:14.280 want but then for the next five years you come home and you tell them hey my boss is a dick you 0.99

00:11:20.400 know one day you're gonna have a boss and you know when you have that boss you know you're gonna 1.00

00:11:25.540 know what this is like and how hard this fucking is and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah right 0.99

00:11:29.660 right right so you're i mean they're talking about both sides of their mouth exactly and they don't 0.99

00:11:34.140 realize it gotcha and they don't realize it yeah i well i guess what i was thinking is is i you you

00:11:39.040 hear the parents all the time telling their kids that they can be anything they want to be but they

00:11:42.340 don't tell them the whole truth that you got to work you got to work at it so that's what i thought

00:11:46.080 you were saying yeah i mean that's the whole other thing is like the unrealistic expectations of 0.96

00:11:51.180 success when it comes to a time frame i mean it's fucking you know it's absurd what people consider 0.93

00:11:57.940 a long time you know like i dude people are like oh i've been doing this for two years 0.99

00:12:02.760 i take fucking shits longer than two years yeah you know what i'm saying yeah like dude two years is 0.97

00:12:09.460 nothing you know people have a totally misconstrued uh 1.00

00:12:18.060 vision and perception of how long it takes and what it takes and because of that you know when

00:12:26.520 it's hard or it takes longer than they want it to take or things don't go their way they automatically

00:12:32.560 fall back on the excuse of you know it wasn't meant for them or the universe is against them or

00:12:38.760 you know they start to believe in the the lottery principle of success like the success fairy that

00:12:45.200 comes down and picks certain people right instead of just saying hey i haven't been doing this long

00:12:49.380 enough or i haven't been working hard enough or i haven't been doing what it takes it's easier to

00:12:53.420 put the blame off somewhere else except that in your mind that success is something that is

00:13:00.240 uh luck based or chance based or happenstance instead of just taking responsibility and say hey i

00:13:06.240 didn't do what the fuck it takes right so i i think the mentality you know when we get back to when 0.77

00:13:12.920 we get back in line with the original subject you want to talk about of human potential and what 0.89

00:13:17.520 they can achieve is usually completely screwed up by you know parents friends neighbors teachers uh

00:13:27.980 people who have well-meaning hearts you know because they want to tell somebody uh you know

00:13:34.200 the realistic side of things you know what i mean and the realistic side of things that you could

00:13:38.780 fucking do anything you want if you're willing to pay the price right you know what i mean right 0.86

00:13:43.660 but the the you're not going to get everything you want if you're not willing to pay the price 0.99

00:13:48.860 and i made a post about this the other day and somebody wrote like dude doesn't doesn't that seem

00:13:53.460 pretty basic i'm like yeah yeah it's fucking basically that's the point that's the point that 0.83

00:13:58.500 i don't understand that's why i don't understand why the fuck people even listen to this podcast 0.95

00:14:02.740 you know i don't understand why people pay attention to my instagram because dude nothing 0.98

00:14:07.700 i say is profound it's just it's the way you say it though it's just get a fucking roadmap yeah and 0.94

00:14:14.420 fucking follow it yeah i let me drive home the point you're making by by making an observation about 0.98

00:14:20.800 the way that your dad raised you um there's an excellent book on this by the way that i want to plug 0.99

00:14:26.480 on becoming self-aware about why you have the limits you have it's called the third circle theory

00:14:31.340 okay is that pj yeah pj pj uh uh i can't pronounce his last name and nobody can so we'll put it up on

00:14:40.560 the website but anyhow pj is a fucking brilliant dude and it's an awesome book on becoming self-aware 0.90

00:14:46.760 i've recommended it before it's kind of a tough read because he's so fucking smart that you've got 0.61

00:14:54.260 to really like be engaged in the book to like pick it up you know i'm saying yeah like one of those books

00:14:59.520 that is written by somebody who's so intelligent yeah that it's hard to follow yeah you gotta like

00:15:04.180 really intentionally god the book's good yeah yeah it's great well one of the things that i mean

00:15:09.240 obviously you've you've told the famous kill kill kill story yeah and uh and you've also told the

00:15:16.020 story of how your dad rewarded you and sal for aggressiveness and i think what's really interesting

00:15:22.440 to me about that is that your dad could have had you guys chant win win win obviously he wanted you

00:15:29.340 guys to win but the chant was kill kill kill the chant the chant was focused on what you did and if

00:15:35.680 you did those things the results would follow that's right it's a process right and the aggressiveness

00:15:40.220 was what you did so i i see i see very early on you basically learning this principle of human

00:15:46.680 potential is it's not even so much who you are it's the effort that you put into whatever it is

00:15:53.800 you're you're striving toward well i think most people that's a that and we're we're gonna get

00:15:58.400 into the nuts and bolts of why people can't succeed and why people do succeed people who succeed fall in

00:16:04.220 love with the process and execute on the process every single day like um i mean it's not about like

00:16:11.940 you know like these kids that i see oh i want to be a billionaire that's great

00:16:15.360 you know oh i want to be a millionaire that's great but that's not what's going to get you there 0.92

00:16:20.040 that want or that hope or that desire to be there i don't care how fucking hard you wish and hope and 0.97

00:16:25.540 pray and desire to be that if you can't master the day in and day out process that it's going to take

00:16:31.800 to um like what i said one foot down in front of the other okay so one foot down represent one day

00:16:38.800 right and then the next foot down would represent the next day and you have to do that from for

00:16:44.740 10 000 fucking days you know what i mean so if you're not willing to master those steps 0.92

00:16:51.320 on a you know each day you're not going to get there and so i think people focus on them on the 0.95

00:16:57.480 macro so so much you know the 10 000 foot view of what they want and they see it as such a monumental

00:17:06.560 task that they either a don't start b underestimate the amount of time it's going to get there because

00:17:13.400 people have this idea that it's going to be this uh you know i take 10 steps all of a sudden the

00:17:20.420 rocket ship comes by and i thought things start to pick up like i got this question from a fellow

00:17:25.080 supplement company owner um recently and he's he just started out last year a finished goods brand

00:17:32.700 and um young kid man i mean real young uh i don't know they're probably 20 probably i don't know

00:17:39.940 22 23 years old and and he just started a year not even a year ago he comes up to me he's like andy

00:17:46.720 i love what you do and i love first form and i respect that you know that's great i really appreciate

00:17:52.420 it how long do i have to do this before i make money and i just looked at him and i'm i i'm like

00:18:00.020 you know my my response was like well dude the good news is is that you have a lot of people to

00:18:06.740 look at and you have social media and you have all these things i didn't have um and i would just

00:18:12.860 keep focused on because i didn't even want to say it because it was like right i didn't want to 0.91

00:18:16.860 fucking crush the dude you know what i mean but it's gonna take a long fucking time right if you're 0.97

00:18:20.780 focused on that when am i going to make the money you're certainly not focused on the day-to-day 1.00

00:18:25.300 process that you need to be you know what i mean it's it's like it's like being in a football game

00:18:32.580 right and you're in a heated football game and it's third fourth quarter right and all of a sudden

00:18:41.400 instead of like executing the plays running the plays you know running them to perfection you decide

00:18:47.440 to stand in the middle of the football field and look up at the scoreboard just watch it yeah what's 1.00

00:18:51.700 gonna happen yeah you're gonna get your fucking ass beat you know what i mean that's a great 1.00

00:18:55.480 yeah and that's what people do instead of executing on the blocks and the tackles and the routes to run 1.00

00:19:01.640 and the balls to be thrown and handed off properly and all this shit that is required to run a perfect 0.80

00:19:06.780 play aka a perfect day they focus on the big picture and think about the big picture instead of 0.99

00:19:14.860 just just focus on today it's day by day you know what i mean and people get

00:19:20.140 people it's just not a romantic or fun thing to think about like hey i've got to be perfect for

00:19:27.880 10 000 days in a row uh you know what book is that it's malcolm one of malcolm gladwell's books

00:19:33.840 yeah you mean uh outliers where he talks about 10 000 days or 10 000 hours to become an expert yeah

00:19:39.740 yeah it's outliers yeah i can't i read all his books can't remember which one it was but dude uh

00:19:43.640 that's one about being an becoming an expert brilliant yeah yeah i mean brilliant dude he's 0.98

00:19:48.040 another guy it's like you better pay attention when you read his shit because he's so smart 0.92

00:19:50.900 but um uh but anyway you know the point is is that's not a romantic or fun thing to think about 0.98

00:19:57.720 hey man i've got to fucking focus in on today i've got to be perfect today but here's what you 0.92

00:20:02.820 don't understand and what people miss is that by focusing on today it's just like a workout program 0.97

00:20:09.580 or a uh learning a skill like playing a guitar or uh anything right it's gonna be really fucking 0.96

00:20:17.520 hard the first day right the first day you're gonna have to go on a diet all right on a diet 0.82

00:20:22.440 dude when i first started dieting four months ago every day was a fucking battle like i'm thinking 0.98

00:20:27.800 about eating fucking taco bell and fucking chinese food every day and you know what i'm saying because 0.98

00:20:32.780 that's what i was doing before and now like dude i'm cruising through every single day it's not even i 0.99

00:20:38.640 don't have to put any effort in right it's like fucking automatically what i do and here's the 0.96

00:20:42.700 same thing with success that people miss out on is that when you focus in on the you know they they 0.99

00:20:49.520 have the first let's say first 90 days of focusing on being perfect every day it's hard it's fucking 0.95

00:20:58.240 hard and i'm talking about being perfect i'm talking about executing on every single opportunity that 0.98

00:21:03.840 you possibly can as good as you possibly can for 90 days all right that's hard as fuck for people to 0.66

00:21:10.620 grasp and that sounds like such a long time right but the thing is is that what you're doing and the

00:21:17.460 value in doing what i'm saying and making a conscious effort you go back to the powerless podcast which

00:21:23.940 one is that on the powerless podcast yeah is that kill it every day oh oh powerless sorry yeah yeah 0.94

00:21:29.980 kill it every day yeah so go back and listen to kill it every day and i give the exact plan on how 0.98

00:21:33.740 to do this but if you do that for 90 days by at the end of 90 days you've created a habit of fucking 0.99

00:21:39.760 winning every day you know what i mean now you've created a habit of paying attention to the details

00:21:44.880 a habit of being perfect a habit of you know whatever your job is you know greeting customers the right 0.92

00:21:50.960 way or going over and above or taking pride in this and that and all the shit you need to do to build

00:21:56.260 something you've created habits that do that automatically and so you know most people 0.97

00:22:04.060 and the reason they believe that success is uh you know this fucking magical thing instead of a 0.74

00:22:11.120 like a a plus b equals c concept math so to speak uh because they're not willing to put that 90 days or 0.70

00:22:22.420 that that that that one year of perfection in into their books you know what i mean and so they fall 0.69

00:22:27.980 back on um the idea of it being a fucking lottery and you know it's sad because i see people that have 0.98

00:22:38.140 just tremendous potential and they're like hey i've been doing this for three years and nothing seems 0.98

00:22:43.140 to go my way i'm like well keep fucking doing it and you know what's going to happen you're going to 0.98

00:22:47.480 learn how to make things go your way and eventually things are going to go your way but because you 1.00

00:22:53.380 have all these fuck fuck faces out there selling programs for two hundred dollars or whatever the 1.00

00:23:00.960 fuck it is you know telling kids that it's supposed to be a uh a 12 week thing or a 12 month thing and 1.00

00:23:09.740 all this shit dude people end up you know hating themselves they end up thinking they don't have what it 1.00

00:23:16.560 takes and that they're you know i'm not uh a person that was meant to be successful so they do something 0.99

00:23:23.800 they hate the rest of their fucking lives right right so let me add a couple more layers to this 0.75

00:23:29.140 conversation by making two observations one i'm gonna eat my epic bar yeah you do that so one is that 0.98

00:23:34.300 you obviously do you just mentioned them but you obviously do take on these guys that are constantly 0.99

00:23:38.280 saying like here's my plan for for making a million dollars in a year and i i fuck those guys exactly 0.92

00:23:44.600 but so what i've come up with is this term i call the fallacy of the exception and that the reality 0.95

00:23:49.460 is is you know as well as i do there are exceptions to a rule there is the guy that had overnight

00:23:55.180 success or you know financial success yes but what that's all society shows right and that's and what

00:24:01.100 those guys are taking advantage of is they're taking advantage of the fact that yes there is the

00:24:05.960 occasional exception but it's not the rule it's not generally how success happens and they're taking

00:24:11.400 advantage of people doing that because they don't show it people what you just said is the truth it's

00:24:18.600 not generally how success happens but people are never shown how success really happens unless they're

00:24:26.660 like raised in a household of it right you know what i mean right and so what they see what most people 0.97

00:24:33.160 see is their parents get up go to work work for fucking 40 years the same shit retire and drink 0.99

00:24:38.960 fucking bud light on the front porch that's what most people see and unless you unless you see it 1.00

00:24:46.120 firsthand with an uncle or a parent or something like that why would you ever think differently because 1.00

00:24:52.500 they don't ever show that shit nobody shows that shit you know dude as far as i know as far as i know 1.00

00:24:59.100 and i could be wrong and i hope i'm wrong but i'm the only motherfucker out there saying hey 1.00

00:25:03.700 it's gonna take you fucking 10 years right buckle in for the long haul brother this is gonna be a 0.99

00:25:09.640 fucking wild ride right you know what i mean yeah i'm i don't know anybody else who's really being 0.98

00:25:14.660 that forthcoming with what it's gonna take yeah maybe gary gary does the same thing gary v yeah um 0.89

00:25:20.100 you know um you know but outside of that i don't i don't hear it you know it's funny even in movies

00:25:27.720 even in movies that are that are telling the story of somebody who really overcomes a lot

00:25:32.160 isn't it almost always true that that the the hard work they do is usually put into a montage with

00:25:38.360 really inspiring music behind it dude look you know what i'm saying though like all right you know

00:25:43.440 how like like rudy you know like when you go on a big long road trip yeah all right let's say you

00:25:48.300 got to go on a road trip for like 20 fucking hours yeah you're dreading it right right 0.92

00:25:53.720 i'm eating an epic bar and it's fucking so good these dudes that make these epic bars these bison 0.99

00:26:03.300 bars yeah they're good fuck they're good yeah they're very good they're not paying me to say 0.99

00:26:07.060 that no i know i saw you eat one one time actually i think i ate one and then i went and bought some 0.98

00:26:11.160 more and they have some very unique uh flavors i've been eating them the whole time on my diet man

00:26:15.660 they got yeah they got a little bit of sugar in them but yeah i'm burning it up yeah but anyhow

00:26:19.960 epic you guys just sent me that check yeah exactly but um anyhow so you're dreading this 0.70

00:26:31.920 long road trip right 20 fucking hours it's gonna suck right you go you do drive the 20 hours you go 0.99

00:26:39.080 on your little vacation you drive the 20 hours home five years later do you remember the 20 hours 0.97

00:26:46.380 you see i'm saying no yeah you remember the vacation right sure but you don't remember the

00:26:52.440 20 hours right success is the same thing it sounds horrible it sounds it sounds it sounds i gotta work 0.92

00:26:59.260 for 10 fucking years every day as hard as i fucking can to get somewhere and i'm not talking about just 0.95

00:27:05.180 making i'm not talking about making millions i'm talking about if you want to make six figures 0.99

00:27:08.740 you know are there people that go out and make six figures in two or three years yeah but they're

00:27:13.620 usually really fucking good at what they do and they've been putting in long long investments of

00:27:18.960 time before they ever even took that spot right you know what i mean right so um you know i'm not 0.90

00:27:25.340 talking about just uh you know making millions i'm talking about being financially successful right

00:27:32.040 you know whatever you consider that to be right but the point is is that the dedication time and work

00:27:37.820 that you have to put in um you know it's it's not something that you remember in a long in a long

00:27:46.520 haul you know what i mean like or i don't know how i don't know if i'm saying that right no you are um

00:27:52.060 so proof positive that i you know actually did prepare notes for this and and that i know you really

00:27:57.520 well is that you you started immediately talking about point number two on my on my list was about

00:28:02.940 your belief in the power of action and you've already talked about this a lot about how what's

00:28:07.480 important it's not you know it's an equation it's not magic formula it's execution it's application of

00:28:13.700 certain principles and processes but what i what i want to have you flesh out a little bit because i i

00:28:19.520 think this is something you get all the time you you get this question all the time that says andy

00:28:23.620 what if i do all this stuff and it doesn't work and one of the things that i really feel like

00:28:28.820 comes through a lot of the stuff that i've read and heard from you is that's not possible it's not

00:28:33.620 like action is never in vain unless you're unless look unless you're mentally retarded and i mean that 0.99

00:28:42.060 in the literal sense like you're unable to learn you know what i mean right i'm not saying i'm not i 0.92

00:28:48.660 don't like using the word retarded like no you're you mean in the clinical sense right i just don't like

00:28:53.300 you i used to use all the time and i i don't know i try not to use it because i just it's you

00:28:58.800 know what i mean i just don't like it i don't like what it represents anymore um but the point 0.61

00:29:04.420 of this is is that unless you're you're mentally handicapped mentally retarded person that can't 0.99

00:29:10.000 fucking learn what you just said is impossible right the only way for that to happen is for you to 1.00

00:29:15.520 fucking quit and to quit trying like dude if you if someone hands you a shovel and says hey i need you 1.00

00:29:22.780 to dig uh ditch from here to fucking california and when you're done i'm gonna give you 10 million 0.99

00:29:29.500 fucking dollars how many people would do it oh everybody would try no everybody would try how 0.99

00:29:38.240 many people would do it oh very few very few would actually finish i will bet you less than one percent 0.99

00:29:43.160 and one percent yeah you see what i'm saying they don't want it so it doesn't matter how much

00:29:47.120 guarantee you put on it right people just won't fucking do it right well so i just had like this 0.99

00:29:53.540 thought come to mind before uh-oh yeah fuck this one thought it's just it's funny how it's gonna burn 0.99

00:29:58.740 down it's funny how it's socially acceptable for you to go to school for four six years uh to have a 0.99

00:30:04.760 job that will be you know a career that will be mediocre uh and it's not even promised well it's not

00:30:10.900 not only is it mediocre they tell you it's gonna be great yeah until you get out in real life and 0.98

00:30:15.280 then you're like fuck this but even if they do know okay like going into like just as a major 0.95

00:30:19.860 of business you know you're gonna come out make it maybe 40 grand like you're okay with that but 0.99

00:30:25.220 you're not okay with putting in two three four six years into your own you know business well it's not

00:30:32.440 even your own business it's it's it's crafting your skills we're our show is about becoming the ceo of

00:30:39.940 you right and it's not i agree with what you're saying 100 but you got to be careful how you word

00:30:45.880 that because it's not just like if you went to school and came out and got a degree right now and 0.92

00:30:51.520 you're like fuck i took the wrong path no you didn't because i guarantee you in your skill set 0.98

00:30:56.920 if you can pay close enough attention you could find a company that would allow you to move up in the 1.00

00:31:04.460 world and if you put in the time to develop your skill set you could make five ten twenty times more

00:31:10.840 money than you're making right now within a company you don't have to own your own company

00:31:14.240 you know what i mean right so we got to be careful how we say that because i want everybody that's

00:31:18.520 listening to understand that entrepreneurship is a skill that everybody could benefit from

00:31:23.660 not just people who actually own a business um i was more i get what you're saying yeah talking

00:31:30.800 about the people who come up to you and be like dude i'm not making any money and it's two years

00:31:33.840 it's like well well first of all let's be fucking real all right society lies to people about how 0.97

00:31:40.080 much is quote-unquote good money all right go go up to fuck find me somebody who's making 60 70 0.99

00:31:46.560 thousand dollars and ask them if they feel fucking rich you know yeah you know they they tell you that 0.98

00:31:54.560 60 70 100 000 is tremendous money and you know people listening right now might say oh my god 0.96

00:32:01.680 that's tremendous money but dude if you're making 50 grand and you go to 100 it's not going to change

00:32:06.720 your life that much you know what i mean right it's just not and your your your goals for yourself

00:32:12.200 should be way the fuck higher than that you know i mean you could i i would say you go up to anybody 0.96

00:32:19.400 that i know that's making 250 grand a year and i know a lot of motherfuckers that do and none of 0.98

00:32:23.520 them are going to raise their hand and say oh i feel like i'm wealthy or i'm rich you know what 0.94

00:32:27.000 i mean right it's just you know you've got to consider what you know don't let society dictate

00:32:33.040 what you think is a lot of money or an income for you because if you do that you're going to end up 0.88

00:32:37.960 getting scraps it's just a fact of life and i know i'm going to get some fucking messages here about 0.98

00:32:42.880 that but i don't really give a shit as you were talking i was thinking about a a great quote uh by miles 0.97

00:32:48.460 davis who i think is a jazz trumpeter and he says if you hit a wrong note it's the next note that you 0.93

00:32:54.860 play that determines if that one was good or bad and the reason i thought of that is because

00:33:00.480 people that say to you oh andy i screwed up i went to college or or i took the wrong path

00:33:05.440 yeah and what do you do now right what are you going to do now well you're going to stay on the

00:33:08.600 fucking bad path right right or i think success and realizing your potential is is not saying oh i should 0.87

00:33:15.320 have done this i should have done this i think success and realizing your potential is saying 0.97

00:33:19.380 okay i did this so how can i take the raw material of my life i did this i did this what did i learn

00:33:27.000 and how can i use that right to move forward right that's what successful people do yeah exactly exactly 0.97

00:33:34.140 um excuse me come on vaughn awkward pause this is fucking radio man oh yeah i got a fucking bar 0.99

00:33:44.480 of meat in my mouth yeah i know and i i was choking tyler's tyler's salivating because he wants 0.98

00:33:49.140 some meat in his mouth did i hear tube steak all right so so let me back up for a second because

00:33:57.180 of course we have to address the asterisk holes so you were talking about how you know everybody

00:34:03.340 can do anything and of course the asterisk hole is going to say oh wait so you're saying i could

00:34:06.940 i could play in the nba if i wanted to and i could be as good as lebron for people who do that 1.00

00:34:11.860 fuck you first of all okay second of all for people to do that they're too fucking stupid to 1.00

00:34:17.400 get the point of context right if you can't understand context then there's no hope for you 1.00

00:34:23.140 right but i want to use those people as an example or as an as a reason for you to talk a little bit

00:34:28.560 about some of the other things that do figure into you know what i love about my followers too

00:34:33.280 what's that on facebook and instagram what's that is that now when people smart off like that 0.99

00:34:37.740 everybody just blasts them and calls them aster calls oh yeah nice blast them it's fucking 0.97

00:34:41.960 hilarious nice that's awesome i had a dude yesterday come on and be like yeah uh you know 0.84

00:34:47.660 your post you just called 18 000 people that follow you lazy blah blah blah and what i was saying was

00:34:53.840 is like you know if you're this then right you know what i mean yeah and i'm like dude if you can't

00:35:00.980 understand context i can't help you brother right i'm sorry right and dude like 30 people just 0.96

00:35:06.360 fucking blasting with memes i'm like yeah motherfuckers that's awesome yeah so where though 0.94

00:35:12.600 i i you're i mean obviously we believe that that the process is what's important execution action that 0.99

00:35:18.700 sort of thing but how would you address the issue of the different variables that figure into human

00:35:25.140 potential like we're all good at something we all have a certain talent we all have unique experiences

00:35:30.400 i mean and i would even say we we all have certain adversities that prepare us to do something

00:35:34.740 really amazing in life so i mean what what is your what is your general take on how all of those

00:35:39.460 things figure into you becoming the person of the fullest potential i think possibly i think that's

00:35:47.960 where you know the passion argument comes into it you know the passion things it gets um it gets a

00:35:53.800 little fluffy you know what i'm saying like all the little fluff masters out there try like try to 0.64

00:35:58.360 talk about passion and do what you're passionate about well if you're passionate about playing 0.97

00:36:02.180 fucking video games you're probably gonna end up being broke all right um the the where passion 0.91

00:36:08.120 becomes valuable is you have a natural affinity for something i've used this example before um 0.99

00:36:16.520 butterflies all right how do you monetize butterflies all right i love butterflies are so beautiful i'm the

00:36:22.700 biggest butterfly nerd in the face of the earth not me for personally i'm just saying let's say that i was 0.72

00:36:27.720 um how do i how do i turn that into a business andy because people try to stump me and shit right 0.86

00:36:33.540 well here's what you could do you start a blog about butterflies all right you you you create a

00:36:39.880 situation where you're putting out so much content and so much um information so much education about

00:36:45.960 butterflies that people uh can't help but start to recognize you as the butterfly expert right and then

00:36:53.880 um you attract a tribe of other butterfly people all right and all of a sudden you're the leader 1.00

00:37:00.540 of the butterflies you know you're the motherfucking butterfly boss right and you're fucking you you 1.00

00:37:06.560 decided i'm going to monetize i'm going to start selling t-shirts and it says butterfly boss motherfuckers 1.00

00:37:11.940 on the shirt yeah right and then all of a sudden dude you take butterflies and you make a brand out of it 0.96

00:37:17.480 and then you got a little butterfly logo then you got sweatpants with butterflies on it right and then all of a sudden 0.94

00:37:23.500 dude you're you're you're fucking you're the butterfly mogul and you're in forbes all right 0.99

00:37:27.680 that's the point right because dude passion will drive you to learn about a subject when you're not 0.99

00:37:34.900 getting paid passion will drive you to stick with something for a long enough time to succeed when

00:37:40.340 you're not getting paid all right it does a lot of things for the human spirit and it's a huge driver

00:37:46.500 in success but most people misinterpret what people say when they say oh follow your passion you know i've

00:37:52.580 heard other success people say oh fuck your passion do what makes money well um that's a that's a nice 0.99

00:38:00.460 thought i wish i could just fucking you know learn about anything that i wasn't interested in that 0.99

00:38:04.980 makes the most money most people don't have that fucking ability most people do have the ability 0.98

00:38:09.440 to become an expert in some kind of field that and they probably are already at some point you know 0.89

00:38:15.620 what i mean like maybe you're interested in 1960s chevrolet small blocks and you decide to become

00:38:22.820 you know the blogger on all these different small blocks and accessories and i mean dude i could go on 0.92

00:38:29.860 and on and on about this shit but it's micro shit that you're expert in and um you know people 0.95

00:38:37.000 misinterpret the you know follow your passion because it sounds too fluffy right you know what i mean 0.99

00:38:43.540 right follow your well my passion is helping people well that's a good that's good because

00:38:47.840 the only way you can make money is by helping solve people's problems that's the only way all right so

00:38:52.840 if you're if you're uh so how are you passionate about helping people well i don't know well that

00:38:59.460 ain't good enough right you know what i mean yeah yeah and i i know we you said this what either last

00:39:06.000 week or the week before that we it's overkill the the emphasis on self-awareness but it is true it is

00:39:12.100 that in order to in order to know what passion what you're passionate about you do have to take

00:39:15.740 some time what would you do if you would what would you do right now if you if there was no

00:39:22.900 such thing as money what would you do with your day you see i'm saying that's a really good that's

00:39:28.800 a great question yeah it's a good place to start it's a good place to start yeah now here's another

00:39:33.640 good place to start because this is the other question that comes along with that i don't know

00:39:37.000 what to do all right the other question is i don't know what product to make all right well if you

00:39:41.120 know that you want to make a product and you're interested in making a product look around for

00:39:45.840 the fucking problems right don't look for the potential to make money look for the things that 0.94

00:39:51.280 annoy you that you wish were different right uh that's a big chasm that people have to cross 0.99

00:40:00.200 in order to go from the mindset of like i'm dreaming and hoping about making money to i'm actually

00:40:08.040 a uh executioner slash practitioner of entrepreneurship right you have to learn to 0.79

00:40:15.420 look for the fucking things that need to be solved you have to learn to identify the problems you have 0.97

00:40:20.120 to learn um you know within your passion what are the problems where could i produce a product that 0.99

00:40:27.360 solves something you know well sweatpants with butterflies on it doesn't solve a problem sure it

00:40:31.780 does first of all it solves a number of problems one it makes people feel cool because they like 0.96

00:40:36.700 butterflies that's a fucking problem if you don't feel fucking cool that's not that's no good everybody 0.94

00:40:42.380 likes to feel cool second of all keep your legs warm you see what i'm saying yeah like dude there's 0.99

00:40:47.580 there's plenty of problems there it doesn't have to be you know people focus so hard on trying to

00:40:52.780 come up with these fucking overly complicated business plan and schemes and and solutions to these 0.97

00:41:00.060 fucking problems that barely even exist that would take a trillion fucking dollars to um you know 0.99

00:41:07.080 create a a solution for right i want to solve the the world's water problem you know what that is a 0.99

00:41:14.960 fucking great place for somebody like bill gates to fucking put his influence in right but john doe you 0.97

00:41:22.860 listening you have no fucking chance of solving that problem right go invent a snuggy instead all 1.00

00:41:29.200 right the snuggy right the dumbest fucking thing on the face of the earth the the the somebody went 0.99

00:41:35.700 out there and put a robe on fucking backwards and said oh this is fucking awesome right and it made a 1.00

00:41:41.520 fucking billion dollars you know what i mean dude is it as stupid as sea monkeys i don't know sea 1.00

00:41:47.460 monkeys are pretty stupid dude i'm just saying yeah yeah it solves a problem yeah i want a blanket 1.00

00:41:52.480 with fucking armholes you know what i mean like it doesn't have to be you know splitting the fucking 1.00

00:42:00.460 atom right it doesn't have to be you know these complicated things look for the thing that fucking 0.99

00:42:06.760 annoys you and then try to solve it and then if you solve it guess what you got something you know

00:42:12.920 what i mean yeah it's a good place to start so as far as you know part of maximizing human potential

00:42:19.200 is not just you know your potential but also starting a movement that influences other people

00:42:25.780 and i you know if i read over your stuff listen to what you say there's no question that you believe

00:42:30.420 that human beings can influence one another and you know you read all the experts and the truth is is

00:42:35.620 that we are all wired uh to to pass on our enthusiasm to transfer our enthusiasm and somebody

00:42:42.320 i read an expert at once one time um right i read an expert that said everything about us is

00:42:48.200 contagious and so i guess what i would say is you know to what extent do you feel you really do

00:42:55.260 believe people have the the ability to influence one another and to spread movements

00:42:59.020 i think it's everything i think it's i think it's everything i think understanding how to do that

00:43:06.380 if you can learn how to do that you're going to possess a skill that is probably the most valuable

00:43:14.760 skill on the face of the earth in regards to being able to make money or make a difference

00:43:19.860 and making a difference and making money go hand in hand so um but i also think that most people and i

00:43:27.800 would say 99.9 of people lack the confidence lack the self-esteem lack the swagger needed to do that

00:43:43.260 they hold these limiting beliefs inside that said i'm not a leader i'm not this i'm not that i'm not

00:43:50.540 influence people yeah people won't listen to me what i say doesn't matter um and you know 1.00

00:43:57.780 you've got to be a strong motherfucker to be able to stand up and say dude what i say does fucking 0.99

00:44:01.540 matter you know what i mean and realize that other people identify with that but you know 1.00

00:44:06.720 no matter how many how much i talk about this on here most people just aren't going to ever get it

00:44:12.700 because it is a uh it's a lonely place to be most of the time because well it's perceived to be lonely

00:44:19.680 because of how much criticism you get in the beginning you know when you first stand on your 0.97

00:44:24.780 fucking soapbox and say something half the people are not going to like what you say and those 0.99

00:44:30.060 people are going to fucking voice up right right um a year five ten years later you know when you've 1.00

00:44:39.040 got some steam behind you those same people who would run their mouths in the beginning are going 0.99

00:44:43.040 to shut the fuck up they're not going to mouth off in front of a thousand people you see what i'm 0.95

00:44:47.220 saying so in the beginning it's hard for people to do that because they can't deal with the pushback 0.99

00:44:52.320 you know and you have to get through that initial phase um but i think other i think the other

00:44:59.480 problem with that is that most people don't understand that creating a movement creating a

00:45:03.320 culture creating something that influences people is has to be genuine and it has to be from the heart

00:45:09.400 and it has to be of good intention it can't be a scheme to make you powerful or a scheme to make you

00:45:16.700 money it has to be about them first and about you last and i think most people are unable to buy into

00:45:25.040 that concept i think most people will pretend that concept and but but at the end of the day it's a

00:45:31.240 manipulation of still trying to be about them first and the people last we associate the word

00:45:38.060 faith with god but don't you think it's to really truly believe that if you put others first

00:45:44.120 everything's going to work out that's kind of an act of faith like you're trusting no question yeah

00:45:48.440 you're trusting and i think the people that can't do that just don't have the faith to believe that

00:45:52.500 it's going to be worth it i think those people lack a core value in their heart um

00:45:58.520 that allows them to believe in

00:46:04.000 things that they can't see you know what i mean and i'm going to tell you right now if you're out

00:46:10.800 there trying to be successful and you're not a dreamer and you can't believe in things that you

00:46:14.820 can't see or you have no fucking chance period you know what i mean and like you know the funny 0.93

00:46:20.280 thing is is you know we're talking about a little bit of spirituality or you know god type things 0.95

00:46:27.260 here but it um it's funny because if you really examine and pick apart success the most successful

00:46:34.740 people were the ones that truly truly believed in what nobody else could see and and the world

00:46:42.020 rewards them for that so you know it's kind of yeah it's kind of you know if you're struggling with

00:46:48.280 your faith right now it might be something to ask yourself why does the world reward people who dream

00:46:53.000 and people who believe and people who see things that no one else can see you see what i'm saying

00:46:59.880 yeah that's a great question that's a i mean it rewards them with riches dude and fame and fortune

00:47:05.180 and fucking fulfillment and like all these the ability to give basically everything that everybody wants 0.84

00:47:12.660 you know whether they say they want it or not it comes from a place of faith and i'm not talking 0.98

00:47:20.940 about religious faith i'm talking about faith in the process faith in believing in your vision faith

00:47:25.040 in uh you know what you can do and can build yeah you know yeah if you think about it that way

00:47:32.280 it you know it's definitely something to think about from a faith uh from a spirituality place as well

00:47:39.340 because if that's what the world rewards you know what i mean right right so yeah um i got your

00:47:49.600 wheel spinning over there no you did i mean a lot of different things so so going back i mean i'm

00:47:53.900 gonna do one of my favorite you know my famous uh recaps but i mean we're talking about human

00:47:58.920 potential so obviously the first and foremost most important is you're talking about how it's not

00:48:04.200 it's not magic it's in its equation it's action and and believing that your actions will be

00:48:09.740 significant that they're never in vain you talked a little bit about you know putting others first and

00:48:14.120 and trusting that that's that's going to result in your full potential but i think if we ended this

00:48:20.360 podcast and we didn't talk about this next point we would completely miss a huge huge part of your

00:48:25.760 philosophy which is you have said again and again when it comes to your potential when it comes to

00:48:31.760 people realizing how much they can be how how much they can accomplish you always say that their

00:48:40.140 greatest obstacle is not their adversity or their upbringing or their education or their job or

00:48:45.200 anybody their greatest obstacle their greatest challenge is the person that they look at in the

00:48:50.680 mirror every day there's no question you know that's where people take self-awareness too far

00:48:58.520 um i think i think there's two kinds of people there i think there's people who look in the mirror and

00:49:05.780 they they see all the weaknesses that they have and they think that's what the world sees it's not

00:49:13.840 the world sees that's what you see right you have to find a true balance of being aware of your 0.98

00:49:24.600 strength and your weaknesses and that's hard for people to do and that's why a lot of fucking 1.00

00:49:29.940 egomaniacs and people who are just shit people become successful because they look in the mirror and 0.99

00:49:35.480 see all the great shit they don't see any of the weaknesses right you know what i mean um but 1.00

00:49:41.240 and that's why they become successful because they stand up and they say hey you know what fuck you 0.99

00:49:45.780 i'm gonna go do this and you're gonna stop me and right and they and they become that way because no 0.99

00:49:51.620 one can stop you right right they don't get in their own way um so if you're like a decent human

00:49:57.620 and you know it's not society doesn't isn't okay with people saying that they're good at things 0.94

00:50:06.060 themselves you get what i'm saying because then you're not fucking humble you're not this 0.98

00:50:10.880 you know everybody wants dude humility is the most overrated fucking thing out there right now and 0.97

00:50:16.860 misunderstood thing you know it's humility is good because it allows you to learn things humility is 0.95

00:50:22.920 holds a lot of people back because they don't understand what real humility is they think that 1.00

00:50:27.740 you know looking in the mirror and telling themselves that they're a piece of shit is being 0.99

00:50:33.420 humble it's not fucking humble you know what i'm saying being humble is knowing exactly what you are 1.00

00:50:39.380 and knowing that you're no better than this man or that man or this woman and that woman and also 0.92

00:50:44.600 knowing that you have a lot to fucking learn and you can improve a lot and you have more to give 0.99

00:50:48.320 you know what i'm saying there's just it's not the car you fucking drive or the house you live in 0.99

00:50:53.180 and it's it's not looking at yourself in the mirror and saying man i'm just a regular little 0.99

00:50:59.140 johnny piece of shit from south county st louis missouri you know what i mean like dude if you're good 0.96

00:51:05.640 at something you need to be saying hey you know what i'm pretty good at this now i can improve that 0.99

00:51:09.880 you know i can get better at this but i'm pretty good at this let me work on this and get to become

00:51:16.460 the best at that and i think most people can't look themselves in the mirror and see the good

00:51:20.180 things about themselves right you know because it's not quote unquote acceptable right you know

00:51:25.460 because if you say that if you say hey i'm pretty fucking good at something you know uh people say 0.99

00:51:32.540 oh you're cocky or you're arrogant or you're this or that well what if i actually am pretty fucking 0.99

00:51:36.820 good and the statistics show it my bank account shows it what i've built shows it and i say i'm pretty 1.00

00:51:42.540 good at it is that still arrogant and cocky or is that just saying the fucking facts 0.98

00:51:46.420 you get what i'm saying absolutely you know if michael jordan says hey i'm pretty fucking good 0.99

00:51:51.280 at basketball um i would say that's a gross understatement right you know what i mean right 0.92

00:51:56.860 but if he would come out you know like when muhammad ali came out and said i'm the fucking greatest 0.96

00:52:01.020 blah blah blah blah blah everybody laughed at him they say you're a punk you know blah blah blah now 0.68

00:52:05.560 now what do people consider him one of the greatest of all time if not the greatest well he's

00:52:09.800 certainly greatest in the modern era but who believed that before anybody else yeah you get

00:52:14.540 what i'm saying yeah absolutely yeah you know it's i mean and i think most people the reason

00:52:19.800 that their potential getting bringing this back into because we've hit on like 50 subjects the point

00:52:26.360 of what we're talking about most people limit themselves because they can't be okay with being 0.97

00:52:31.980 good at shit you know what i mean or they let their neighbors their friends their parents tell 0.98

00:52:39.000 them that you know you're just a regular dude from here and that blah blah blah look it's a i had 1.00

00:52:45.320 somebody tell me don't lose yourself uh recently and and i and i'm like i'm looking at this motherfucker 1.00

00:52:51.040 like hey don't fucking worry about me losing myself motherfucker you worry about yourself all right 1.00

00:52:56.080 like dude you're supposed to evolve you're supposed to change if you're still doing the same shit you 1.00

00:53:01.940 were doing in fucking high school you're missing the fucking point if you still have all the same 0.99

00:53:06.700 friends that you had in fucking high school you're missing the point if you haven't evolved and 1.00

00:53:11.640 changed you progress to the point where that group of people is really almost you know you've outgrown 0.99

00:53:17.240 them you're missing a fucking point okay it's okay to evolve it's okay to change it's okay to progress 0.99

00:53:24.020 now does that mean you treat them like shit no does that mean you're you don't want to hang out 1.00

00:53:29.000 with them no you can fucking hang out with them but it's not your life anymore right you're gonna 1.00

00:53:33.280 change it change is good not bad right you know being good at shit because you put in 1.00

00:53:38.540 10 000 hours of fucking work dude that's something to be proud of not something to fucking have 0.98

00:53:43.940 somebody shame you for right you know whether it be anybody right and the cool thing i think about 0.98

00:53:49.460 that is that sometimes some of the guys that you hung out with in high school they will evolve too and

00:53:56.620 you will find out that both of you together are are the kind of excellent people that you're looking

00:54:01.200 to be you know what i'm saying yeah like you'll find out but people who are you there's this thing

00:54:05.800 right like oh you're fucking real and loyalty and like all these things people say oh you're changing 0.99

00:54:12.400 and like they try to tell you this shit to make you feel bad motherfucker you gotta be loyal to 0.99

00:54:16.620 yourself first before you can be loyal to anybody you know what i mean and being loyal to yourself 1.00

00:54:22.380 means doing the things that you need to do to take care of yourself and your family

00:54:26.160 before anything else right you know what i mean so let's think about that the next time somebody 1.00

00:54:31.860 throws that shit in your fucking face right you know oh dude you don't lose yourself motherfucker 1.00

00:54:36.520 i i ain't even became myself yet you know what i mean right right like the what the fuck i'm not 1.00

00:54:43.800 who i was in fucking high school in high school i was a fucking dumb little kid right you know i 0.99

00:54:48.640 ain't no shit i still don't know shit i've just i know a little bit right you know and dude i'm 0.99

00:54:56.380 gonna know a lot more in 10 more years right going back to what you were saying about the uh you know 0.99

00:55:01.880 the way that you see yourself saying though right absolutely like people push that shit on on other 0.99

00:55:06.280 people make them feel bad oh absolutely no absolutely oh dude you've vaughn you've really 0.99

00:55:10.640 changed right you know well yeah no shit i'm not fucking preaching at church anymore i'm doing this 0.98

00:55:16.880 and this and this with my life right and my life is progressing right you see what i'm saying yeah 0.99

00:55:21.180 no i trust me more like it's like a it's like an obvious thing like uh yeah no shit right it's 0.76

00:55:28.220 almost like a compliment right like yeah you know what i found and i'm i'm a little bit getting off

00:55:33.040 the topic here but i find that when people criticize other people for that it's because

00:55:38.380 the people who are criticizing growing well the people who are criticizing are insecure and they 0.64

00:55:44.860 they kind of fell in love with you the way you used to be because they you became kind of a

00:55:49.880 security blanket for them and so they kind of leeched on to you and you were their security blanket

00:55:55.260 and then when you began to evolve and and go beyond their reach it made them feel insecure about

00:56:00.680 themselves and they're like oh so they they then wanted you to continue being who you always

00:56:04.920 does that make sense i mean yeah and then also on the other hand those same people they feel like

00:56:10.400 you're quote unquote leaving them behind right or uh you you know that oh you're too good for us

00:56:15.700 well no i'm not too good i'm not too good for anybody i'm just doing my thing right and if you

00:56:20.460 can't keep up or it's not into you that doesn't mean there's something wrong with me right i don't 0.80

00:56:24.820 look at people who fucking i i don't look at people i used to hang out with like there's something 0.98

00:56:28.840 wrong with them right i don't i would be happy to see any of them have dinner or beer with any of 0.98

00:56:33.720 them you know that's their own insecurity right yeah definitely so i think a lot of people 0.98

00:56:38.840 we're talking about limiting human potential i think a lot of people let that shit stop them 0.99

00:56:42.960 like it's like this fucking morale moral guilt thing that people give them and they're like oh man you 0.99

00:56:48.300 know what that person's right no that person isn't fucking right you're you're right they're fucking 0.99

00:56:55.080 wrong period so along with this whole idea of you being the biggest obstacle to yourself uh i mean 0.95

00:57:05.000 speak a little bit i know we've done it before but at least touch on this whole issue of you are the

00:57:08.720 measure of your own success well dude everybody's got different potential we all got in the game at

00:57:13.600 a different level you know what i'm saying you can't measure success by income by material items

00:57:18.900 by uh you know companies owned or places travel dude success is a is a measure of your own

00:57:26.660 personal uh fulfillment of potential you get what i'm saying it's everybody got in the game

00:57:33.940 different i was raised differently than than tyler was or that you were you know what i mean we

00:57:38.660 all got in the game at a different time at a different place and you can't there's not like

00:57:42.760 one thing that says you know like a lot of people you know uh this is a long fucking deal man it's not 0.97

00:57:50.960 even just your life it's your kids lives and the lives of their kids you know it's it's it's long

00:57:56.780 we're talking about long concepts here you know what i mean you know uh my friend my one of my best

00:58:03.580 friends uh dads you know he's a he's a uh he's a uh equipment operator you know what i mean he runs

00:58:12.220 heavy equipment um he grew up very very poor all right he raised three sons who who are all extremely

00:58:20.100 fucking hard-working extremely successful guys and they're all in their own way um the one that i'm 0.79

00:58:27.360 best friends with you know he makes six figures a year job far far more than his dad ever made 0.99

00:58:33.780 right and his dad brought him up the whole life saying hey my job is to make you better than me

00:58:39.140 you know and that in that aspect and um you know i think you know that's going to flow down to his

00:58:51.820 kids and that's going to flow down to their kids and you know it's not a a one generation

00:58:56.600 thing that we're talking about you know so you can't measure it on money or whatever you know

00:59:01.220 so people do that when they don't that's a that's a juvenile way like when i say juvenile i don't mean

00:59:07.380 like actual age i mean when you first get into business because i did the same thing for 10 years

00:59:13.280 i thought success was buying a lamborghini honestly now i don't give a fuck right you know what i mean 0.70

00:59:18.320 like i've been toying about i've been toying with the idea of getting rid of all my cars because i don't 0.82

00:59:21.700 give a shit i mean i like them now but they don't do the same thing that they used to do right um 0.80

00:59:26.480 and it you know those are good goals because those goals are fun they're they're exciting they keep 0.98

00:59:34.780 you hustling and there's nothing wrong with material goals but i've just learned for me that my i get far

00:59:41.460 more satisfaction out of seeing guys like tyler buy a z06 corvette you know what i'm saying and move up

00:59:48.360 or guys and other guys in the company you know grow you know what i mean and like i feel like that

00:59:54.140 is way more satisfying than than you know right personal shit for me two things come to my mind 0.76

01:00:01.900 one is that it's legacy dude yeah one is that comparison or this tendency to compare yourself 0.94

01:00:09.040 to others it's just such a killer of success because like it is but it's also a driver of success well but 0.94

01:00:15.580 what i'm saying your mentality because like dude i compare myself to people and i i have the fucking 0.99

01:00:20.920 cockiness and the swagger and the confidence to know that i can be fucking better than them right 0.95

01:00:24.960 like most people can't like i look at the greatest dudes in our industry and i fucking say dude i'm 0.95

01:00:30.360 gonna be better than that guy right and i mean it right and i understand that i i mean in the insofar

01:00:34.900 as what you were saying about like when it when it when comparison serves to demoralize you

01:00:42.080 it's it's it's it's worthless like it's like what you say you don't know what somebody else you don't

01:00:47.280 know the opportunity they have you don't know you know right i think comparing yourselves to other is

01:00:53.220 a good thing for some people and for other people it's not a good thing you know what i mean i personally 0.67

01:00:58.080 like it because i like to have enemies i like to have fucking rivals i like to have people to measure 0.97

01:01:02.600 myself against to drive me because dude what drives me is the fucking win right it's not the money 0.98

01:01:07.720 it's not cars it's not a house it's nothing i want to fucking win that's it so i i'm wired that 1.00

01:01:14.860 way i want to fucking win and i want to stomp people's fucking brains on the fucking curb that's 0.99

01:01:20.260 what i want to do most people aren't wired like me they think i'm fucking crazy so comparing yourself 1.00

01:01:26.080 to someone else for most people is not a good thing you know what i mean and most people argue 0.77

01:01:30.920 what i'm saying is not a good thing and you're never going to be happy because you're all maybe i won't

01:01:34.880 i'm just being honest with how i am you know what i mean i like to compete no actually i take that 0.78

01:01:40.220 back i don't like to compete i like to fucking dominate you know what i mean and i enjoy that 0.93

01:01:44.900 feeling like dude when i was playing fucking madden football 10 years ago in the back of my first store 0.98

01:01:49.640 i'd run the score up to 200 fucking to nothing every fucking game and people are like dude don't you get 0.98

01:01:56.220 tired of no i don't i love it yeah never it's always fun to me yeah you know what i mean oh absolutely 0.97

01:02:00.500 no i yeah and people aren't wired that way and like they say oh andy you're never gonna be really

01:02:04.760 happy maybe i won't but but you don't know what makes me happy right what makes me happy is not 0.99

01:02:09.340 what makes you happy right so you know you have to know what makes you happy and you got to fucking 0.96

01:02:13.820 do those things right you saying that reminds me of a great story that i heard one time i for for 0.94

01:02:19.180 those of you who are younger you probably don't remember um steve spurger used to be the coach of

01:02:24.960 florida before he was the coach of south carolina and he used to be known for running up the score

01:02:28.940 that's all i think of him as is the coach of florida right right yeah and he used to be known

01:02:32.460 for running up the score and when he first got into it you know his arch rival was bobby bowden

01:02:36.360 and when they played florida state why shouldn't you run the score right right so this is the great

01:02:40.740 this is the great you know the great story so he's playing bobby bowden in florida state you know it's

01:02:46.200 the fourth quarter and they're they're still scoring you know they're they're scoring like you know

01:02:51.060 20 40 you know tons of points and so after the game steve goes up to him and he's real indignant

01:02:57.300 you know because he says bobby bowden's supposed to be this christian man and he's not having sports

01:03:01.660 sportsman like so he goes up to him he said why'd you run up the score and he said and i'll never

01:03:05.500 forget that bobby said to him he says steve what's the purpose of an offense it's to make touchdowns

01:03:12.260 right what's the purpose of the defense it's to stop us if you can't stop i'm not going to go out and

01:03:17.660 tell my boys don't do your purpose that's right your purpose is to score yes and so he's never 0.96

01:03:22.500 forgotten that and then of course spurrier went on to be running up that's the fucking truth 0.95

01:03:27.120 yeah people don't like the truth because they're you know they feel sorry for like dude these 0.99

01:03:32.740 fucking high school games and i know i'm gonna get fucking shit on this i don't you know save it 0.99

01:03:37.840 because i'm not gonna agree with you when you know you see these high school basketball scores 100 1.00

01:03:43.140 points to seven all right and people freak the fuck out coaches get fired over and shit dude fuck that 0.99

01:03:49.660 right like dude if your kids aren't good enough to you know stop a team that's scoring 100 1.00

01:03:56.820 fucking points and you scored seven the other team is clearly not the problem right the problem is 1.00

01:04:02.520 your team you know what i mean right and you know that's the fucking liberal pussy mindset out right 1.00

01:04:09.040 now politically correct nonsense you know i feel sorry for my kids because they had to endure this 1.00

01:04:15.240 beating dude you know what i would say to my kid when they come off the fucking field like that i'd be 1.00

01:04:19.760 like hey that didn't feel very good did it no that fucking sucked you want it to happen again 1.00

01:04:25.100 work harder hey yeah let's get out and do some fucking free throws and let's practice some you 0.99

01:04:29.700 know uh some layups and let's get our game going yeah you know what i mean oh yeah like not for sure 0.99

01:04:34.900 not like hey that coach should be fired because he kicked your ass so bad right that doesn't that's 0.99

01:04:39.800 not the real world right the real world will fucking stop you period no mercy yeah no mercy yeah no mercy 1.00

01:04:48.900 at all no mercy at all the real world does not give a fuck about you and we teach these kids that it 0.99

01:04:56.480 that through their actions that it's a different way and then they go out and get stomped and then 0.99

01:05:01.660 what happens they're fucking you know they're train wrecks i mean you know what i mean yeah yeah 0.99

01:05:08.920 whatever man so final final final point um you know we're talking about the power of the individual 0.99

01:05:16.120 we're talking about how you believe in each person's ability to maximize their potential

01:05:19.980 i know because we've talked about this you've even used an example um involving president obama but you

01:05:28.360 i know that there are the asterisk holes and the people who don't listen who are going to mistake you

01:05:33.180 saying that people are personally responsible for their success that's not the same as saying we don't

01:05:38.760 need help or we we we're completely autonomous i know that you that you believe that part of human

01:05:44.420 potential is surrounding you with other people surrounding yourself with other people that's not

01:05:48.380 other people's duty to help you it's your duty to help yourself by surrounding yourself with people

01:05:56.060 who can help you right and actively seeking them out i just did a snap story on this the other day

01:06:01.780 and i talked to my team about this the other day you know i think i did a podcast about this actually

01:06:06.760 you know if you're in i did do a podcast about this if you're an employee of a company it's not the 0.97

01:06:11.660 company's duty to reach down and pull you up it's your duty to put in the work and become so fucking 0.98

01:06:17.620 good that they can't ignore you you know what i mean so that's what i mean by responsibility now

01:06:22.420 that might mean finding a mentor inside the company uh seeking coaching outside the company

01:06:28.100 but guess what that's going to take time outside of the quote-unquote hours of your work day and 0.99

01:06:34.860 you're going to have to put that investment in the you know these these motherfuckers nowadays 1.00

01:06:38.740 they think oh dude i put in my 40 fucking hours and you know i go home at four o'clock and get here 0.99

01:06:43.200 at nine o'clock and you know um that's all i got to do and i just got to do it for long enough and 0.94

01:06:49.200 eventually all my dreams will materialize no they won't right and ask anybody who's 60 years old if

01:06:54.720 that's how it works and they'll fucking set you straight you know i'm i'm i'm upset with the way 0.95

01:07:00.320 and dude i'm so i think things are about to turn you know i think things are turning because i feel 0.98

01:07:06.140 like people like myself other people who preach the no nonsense like shit that we talk about here 0.99

01:07:13.760 are gaining traction i think people are sick of political correctness i think people are fucking 0.98

01:07:18.460 over it you know we're sacrificing the great qualities and values of this country and what's 1.00

01:07:24.520 made it great to satisfy a few motherfuckers out there that can't cut it no fuck that right fuck you 1.00

01:07:48.600 what it's been built upon and what for to satisfy a few fucking delicate little flowers out there that 0.97

01:07:54.720 couldn't cut it you know what i mean like dude oh my kid didn't get a fucking didn't get a trophy 1.00

01:08:00.840 and he feels bad about himself well guess what go do the fucking work you know don't fucking you know 0.99
