Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, come on in, come on in, it's time.
00:00:11.420
Come on in and enjoy the majesty that is Coffee with Scott Adams.
00:00:18.560
Yeah, a lot of people are saying there's no evidence that there's such a thing as Coffee with Scott Adams.
00:00:31.160
But, despite that, shall we enjoy it to its maximum extent with a cup or mug or a glass, a tank or chalice or stein, a cantijug or flask or a vessel of any kind?
00:00:47.480
And join me now for the unparalleled pleasure, the dopamine hit of the day, the conspiracy theory that's true.
00:00:56.420
It's called the simultaneous hit, but it happens not to go.
00:01:02.720
Well, you know, they told us that things might not be as interesting in a Biden administration.
00:01:14.720
And while we do not have yet a Biden administration, I feel as if the boring came early, if you know what I mean.
00:01:23.140
You know, I didn't realize the extent at which our entire entertainment in the United States had turned into just watching Trump say provocative things.
00:01:41.580
All we had, the only entertainment we had, was Trump saying provocative things.
00:01:48.200
And if he stopped saying it, or they stopped reporting it, what do we have?
00:02:01.160
Well, there's a claim in the AP that is pretty interesting.
00:02:07.860
So, the claim, and they're fact-checking this claim, and they say the claim is that the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin, quote, has a miraculous effectiveness that obliterates, unquote, the transmission of COVID-19.
00:02:24.420
And will prevent some people from getting sick.
00:02:26.820
So, that's the claim, that this ivermectin really works well with COVID.
00:02:39.060
There's no evidence ivermectin has been proven a safe or effective treatment.
00:02:49.520
This was in an article showing all the evidence.
00:02:58.000
It was literally a story about a group of doctors who came to talk to, was it the Senate, to present the fact that there's a lot of evidence.
00:03:16.660
The entire context of the story that the AP was talking about, and characterized as, quote, no evidence, was a story about all the evidence.
00:03:36.100
But the whole reason those doctors were even talking in public is because they were the experts who had compiled a whole bunch of data, sometimes called evidence, that it works.
00:03:51.720
I'm not saying it works, because I'm not a doctor.
00:03:55.040
And even the doctors who are saying it's worth a look are also saying that it has not reached the perfect standard of proof that you would like with the best kind of large-scale, randomized, controlled studies.
00:04:14.120
But they are claiming that there's a mountain of evidence that suggests it probably does work, according to these doctors.
00:04:24.540
And the AP fact-checks the doctors as not having evidence.
00:04:32.160
Now, they could say the evidence is not conclusive.
00:04:39.500
They could say people haven't quite studied all the evidence.
00:04:45.060
But one thing that is 100% obviously false, based on their own article.
00:04:58.720
And we've gotten to the point where the media can present lots of evidence as not existing.
00:05:06.540
And they can present non-existent evidence as having plenty of evidence.
00:05:13.500
They actually can't tell the difference between lots of evidence and no evidence.
00:05:21.260
Now, if I were to describe to you a news industry, and you've never heard of anything called the news,
00:05:27.560
and suppose I were pitching this to you, and I said, you know, I've got an idea.
00:05:42.880
This is an industry where various companies would compete with each other
00:05:46.040
to get the best information that's useful and valuable to the public,
00:05:50.600
and then they would report on that, and then people would make decisions based on that.
00:05:58.540
And then you'd say, well, that might be useful.
00:06:02.300
An industry that gives us valuable information about the world that we can act on.
00:06:08.540
And then I say, there's only one problem, and I feel like I have to tell you this in advance.
00:06:13.880
It will be an industry that is supposed to tell people what's happening.
00:06:20.360
But if I'm going to be perfectly honest, they do have a little bit of a blind spot.
00:06:31.080
And you say, well, some people are making a big deal about it,
00:06:34.340
but let's just say the news industry that I'm suggesting we create,
00:06:40.260
it wouldn't be able to tell the difference between having no evidence of a thing
00:06:51.400
And then you would say, well, I'm a little confused.
00:06:55.440
What does the news do then if it can't tell the difference between something
00:07:00.260
which has a mountain of evidence for it and something that doesn't have any,
00:07:10.220
And you might say, that doesn't even sound like an industry that has any purpose.
00:07:23.280
And the next thing you know, this news industry that you funded and I created
00:07:28.540
is reporting that there is a ton of evidence for Russia collusion.
00:07:34.460
I mean, I tell you, there is so much evidence for Russia collusion.
00:07:43.380
For example, did you know that there was a member of the president's campaign
00:07:49.620
who was convicted of something completely unrelated to Russia collusion?
00:07:54.520
Well, that's proof of Russia collusion, isn't it?
00:07:58.820
If somebody gets convicted of something that has nothing to do with Russia collusion,
00:08:09.720
I don't think I need to make my case any stronger than that.
00:08:17.800
And then, what about all the proof that Trump's a racist?
00:08:25.300
They literally can't tell the difference between lots of evidence and none.
00:08:44.000
Well, there's quite a few investigations going on.
00:08:50.720
Seems that, and let me tell you how this was reported by NBC News.
00:09:02.280
And the first time I read it, I had to read it two or three times to make sure it wasn't a parody.
00:09:08.500
But I think this actually happened in the real world, that what I'm going to describe actually happened.
00:09:16.640
The NBC News said that the probe was revealed, talk about the probe into Hunter Biden,
00:09:25.440
the probe was revealed weeks after an election in which Trump and his allies made unfounded and baseless claims of corruption
00:09:37.080
So, weeks after these reported unfounded and baseless claims,
00:09:44.300
that they're still calling unfounded and baseless claims right in front of you.
00:09:52.780
They are saying, in their own words, unfounded and baseless claims,
00:09:57.720
in the same story that they're reporting all the claims that appear to have a pretty strong base.
00:10:19.060
Because even gaslighting would have at least some sense to it, right?
00:10:25.880
At least that would make sense if somebody were gaslighting you.
00:10:37.240
The news can't tell the difference between a thousand affidavits, according to Rudy Giuliani,
00:11:03.400
I can't even get away from all the evidence of Russia collusion.
00:11:13.400
Who says there's evidence about Hunter Biden doing anything wrong?
00:11:20.920
So, you know, one of my favorite quotes from Mark Twain
00:11:26.920
is that people can't tell the difference between good news and bad news.
00:11:35.400
that people can't tell the difference between good news and bad news,
00:11:38.800
you say to yourself, well, that might be funny,
00:11:42.220
but obviously we can tell the difference between good news and bad news.
00:11:56.300
We actually literally 100% can't tell good news from bad news.
00:12:11.400
But you also can't tell, apparently if you work for the media,
00:12:15.220
you can't tell the difference between a pile of enormous amount of evidence.
00:12:22.120
You know, some of it might not be right, but there's a lot of it versus I haven't seen anything.
00:12:34.540
And now we know that there's a subpoena seeking documents from Hunter Biden
00:12:41.100
And we're told by people who are smart that the fact that he's being investigated for tax-related things
00:12:50.840
does not mean that his only problems are tax-related.
00:12:56.240
Apparently the way the legal system cleverly works
00:13:02.860
is if they suspect you have problems across a number of entities
00:13:07.040
and maybe you've got some sketchy business going on,
00:13:15.000
the tax case allows you to open up all their financial records.
00:13:19.320
Once you've opened up their financial records with the tax case,
00:13:23.380
then any other crimes would become transparent.
00:13:26.000
So it's any other crimes that they might be looking for,
00:13:30.020
but there's a little diversion right now because it looks like a tax case,
00:13:40.560
But the public isn't any better than the press.
00:13:45.500
If you think that the press has a problem with the truth,
00:13:50.660
the public is telling me that there's this thing called the Great Reset.
00:13:57.060
Now, I don't know how to talk about this without looking like a jerk.
00:14:03.200
So if I seem like I'm being a jerk in the next few moments,
00:14:11.380
But if I seem like slightly more of a jerk than normal,
00:14:15.200
it's because this Great Reset thing is the most ridiculous idea in the news.
00:14:24.460
there's no evidence because there are things such as
00:14:33.640
So I will say, yes, there is evidence of people using the word.
00:14:40.820
If you want to find evidence, there's a lot of evidence
00:14:50.560
And there's a guy named Klaus Schwab who's mentioned it.
00:14:54.940
The fact that there's a few people who think it's a good idea
00:14:58.200
is a long way from it being a global conspiracy.
00:15:03.740
Now, there are certainly people who want certain things.
00:15:30.320
Why don't you send me a link to all the documents of the Great Reset?
00:15:45.900
People from different countries don't coordinate that way.
00:15:51.060
There's no such thing as something that's going to be great for one country
00:15:59.720
The idea that people from all different countries,
00:16:06.380
are coordinating to do something which is good for them personally
00:16:10.420
but not good for the countries that they live in
00:16:19.640
There are not a whole bunch of people selling out their own country
00:16:37.980
and lots of trends that you think are going in the wrong direction.
00:17:12.740
by showing us that he's taking one right in public
00:17:19.340
Well, I have one problem with the idea of Joe Biden going first.
00:17:29.320
Does anybody see a problem with Joe Biden going first to get the shot?
00:17:44.320
If you were going to select anybody in the public eye
00:17:59.980
of dying for ordinary causes in the next two weeks,
00:18:19.600
But if you're taking as your standard for health
00:18:47.520
Personally, I think the vaccinations will be safe enough.
00:18:50.760
So, I don't want to talk anybody out of any vaccinations.
