Summary

It's a holiday weekend, so there's not much news to talk about. But there's still plenty to discuss, including a story about fake news, an update on the horse deworming crisis, and the Biden-gate controversy.

00:00:00.580 Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and every other species and type of person, because you're all special.
00:00:11.360 Welcome to the best live stream of all time.
00:00:16.340 It's called Coffee with Scott Adams, and it features something. Have you heard of it?
00:00:20.460 It's called the Simultaneous Sip.
00:00:22.940 Yeah, yeah, I know, some of you have heard of it.
00:00:25.080 Hold on, let me stretch my lavalier microphone cords to reach over here and grab my notes.
00:00:35.460 Well, I'll be taking some questions today, because there's not much news.
00:00:42.600 It's the weekend, it's a holiday weekend, and wow, is it slow news, slow, slow news.
00:00:50.280 But one way to make this situation spectacular, well, there's a few ways, but one way to do it is the Simultaneous Sip.
00:01:02.060 And if you'd like to join in, and I know you would, all you need is a cup or mug or glass, a tank or chalice or sign, a canteen jug or flask, a vessel of any kind.
00:01:11.180 Fill it with your favorite liquid. I like coffee.
00:01:13.400 And join me now for the unparalleled pleasure, the dopamine of the day, one of the top two things you can do with one hand.
00:01:24.580 It's called the Simultaneous Sip, and it's going to happen right now. Go.
00:01:32.800 Ah, was it good for you? Yeah, it was, wasn't it?
00:01:38.180 Yeah, sometimes you think, I don't know if it's going to be good this time.
00:01:41.960 And then it is. It is. It's amazing.
00:01:46.640 Well, let's talk about the fake news, because there isn't much real news.
00:01:50.040 I think the people who make the fake news are mostly on vacation.
00:01:54.940 So we have to rely on actual, organic, real news.
00:02:01.240 Not much happening.
00:02:03.540 You've got basically helicopter accidents and rain.
00:02:06.880 That's all you've got for news.
00:02:08.180 All right, anyway, Rolling Stone ran a story, tweeted, about an interview with a doctor,
00:02:16.720 and it was associated with some Oklahoma hospital, and he claimed, he claimed,
00:02:23.060 that the hospital was turning away gunshot victims and other people,
00:02:28.300 because it was overrun with people who were doing overdose levels of horse dewormer,
00:02:36.060 also known as ivermectin horse dewormer.
00:02:41.040 Yes.
00:02:41.620 In fact, according to Rolling Stone,
00:02:44.360 so many people had heard fake news about this therapeutic,
00:02:51.680 that they had run out, and instead of buying the human version, which is available,
00:02:59.360 no, they decided to buy the horse dewormer version, because that makes sense.
00:03:05.520 And they took so much of this horse dewormer, which I pause to warn you,
00:03:13.480 not a good idea, don't do it,
00:03:16.300 that they were packing the ICUs and the emergency rooms,
00:03:20.800 and those hospitals could barely stay in, what?
00:03:24.500 Oh, it was all fake news.
00:03:27.760 Apparently the doctor who gave the interview is not really even working at that hospital,
00:03:33.240 had some vague association with it,
00:03:36.260 and the hospital says absolutely none of that is true.
00:03:39.960 The total number of people who were in their hospital for horse dewormer overdose is zero.
00:03:49.000 Zero.
00:03:50.100 Now, how many other outlets picked up that fake news and ran with it?
00:03:54.940 A lot of them.
00:03:56.840 So, I didn't see it myself,
00:03:59.500 but I saw a reference to CNN and some other places may have picked it up.
00:04:04.540 I'd like to think some other news organizations were maybe holding off on that.
00:04:11.120 But there's your fake news.
00:04:14.000 But, as Ian Miles Chiang says on Twitter,
00:04:18.620 he points out that a lot of people were debunking that story, as they should.
00:04:23.300 But, who was debunking the story that said that Japan was going to make ivermectin
00:04:29.540 a standard part of their coronavirus treatment?
00:04:33.760 And I said, what?
00:04:35.520 Because I did see some kind of a story about Japan using ivermectin,
00:04:40.120 but it turns out it was just one guy,
00:04:42.780 and it was just a suggestion.
00:04:44.840 So, there's nothing even close to Japan
00:04:48.300 formalizing some kind of ivermectin recommendation.
00:04:51.640 It was just one guy, just a suggestion.
00:04:56.840 New York Times is getting some grief
00:04:59.180 over having to change a headline.
00:05:03.660 Now, you may have noticed
00:05:04.660 that as the public sentiment
00:05:06.440 toward Biden
00:05:07.960 sinks,
00:05:10.220 probably in lockstep with the media,
00:05:13.860 that the media is turning on Biden a little bit.
00:05:17.120 The media that normally supports him.
00:05:19.400 But here's the funniest example of them
00:05:21.840 getting caught trying to make that pivot.
00:05:26.640 So, the New York Times
00:05:27.640 was doing a story about Biden meeting with the
00:05:31.440 Gold Star families who lost children,
00:05:35.340 grown children,
00:05:36.800 in Afghanistan.
00:05:38.800 And the original headline said,
00:05:41.060 quote,
00:05:41.260 Biden,
00:05:42.220 still grieving his son,
00:05:45.100 finds that not everyone wants to hear about it.
00:05:48.500 So, the essence of it was
00:05:50.360 that he was talking too much about his own grief
00:05:52.720 and maybe not enough about
00:05:54.680 the grief of the people he was there to console.
00:05:58.760 And I guess the New York Times
00:06:03.080 got quite a backlash on that.
00:06:06.580 They got a backlash.
00:06:07.640 Surprise!
00:06:08.520 There are enough people who support Biden
00:06:10.200 that they created a backlash.
00:06:14.140 And within hours,
00:06:16.080 the headline was changed.
00:06:17.920 And it got changed to,
00:06:19.680 in invoking Bo,
00:06:21.320 Biden broaches a loss
00:06:22.780 that's guided his presidency.
00:06:24.500 Look at the difference in that.
00:06:28.380 Let me read them again.
00:06:29.260 So, original headline,
00:06:30.920 Biden,
00:06:31.460 still grieving his son,
00:06:32.800 finds that not everyone
00:06:33.860 wants to hear about it
00:06:34.980 because there were some complaints about it.
00:06:37.440 But other people supported it
00:06:38.860 and said that it made them feel connected.
00:06:42.320 And then that changed to,
00:06:43.960 in invoking Bo,
00:06:44.940 Biden broaches a loss
00:06:46.040 that's guided his presidency.
00:06:49.160 That's kind of an interesting
00:06:50.920 and subtle little back battle there.
00:06:52.920 All right.
00:06:54.880 One of the things I love
00:06:56.000 is watching the battle
00:06:56.980 between Fox News and CNN
00:06:59.840 and specifically the on-air talent.
00:07:03.440 It's because the on-air talent
00:07:04.440 likes to get personal
00:07:05.400 with their counterparts
00:07:06.840 at the other network.
00:07:08.340 And I got to say,
00:07:10.180 it's one of my favorite things
00:07:11.600 about the media right now
00:07:12.840 is that they go after each other
00:07:14.380 almost every day
00:07:15.220 and, you know,
00:07:16.760 mock each other.
00:07:18.120 And I was trying to think,
00:07:20.220 how important is it?
00:07:24.440 And the answer is,
00:07:25.600 it might be kind of important.
00:07:27.980 It might be the kind of thing
00:07:29.140 that changes elections.
00:07:31.040 Take, for example,
00:07:32.100 the current story
00:07:33.080 about Jim Acosta.
00:07:35.180 He did a little commentary
00:07:36.500 on CNN
00:07:37.020 and he was labeling
00:07:38.420 Tucker Carlson,
00:07:40.080 quote,
00:07:41.140 a human manure spreader.
00:07:44.060 You know,
00:07:44.440 and accused him
00:07:45.380 of various racist
00:07:46.780 conspiracy theories,
00:07:48.020 whatever.
00:07:48.180 Now, it doesn't matter
00:07:50.180 what he's accusing him of
00:07:51.240 because they're always
00:07:51.980 going back and forth
00:07:52.800 on stuff.
00:07:54.060 But imagine this.
00:07:57.180 Consider the size
00:07:58.460 of Tucker Carlson's audience
00:07:59.980 and the size
00:08:02.160 of Fox News' reach.
00:08:05.460 Tucker's probably
00:08:07.100 the most important voice
00:08:09.900 on the right
00:08:10.520 at this point.
00:08:11.780 If you just take
00:08:12.720 the amount of his influence
00:08:14.360 and multiply it
00:08:15.840 by the size of his audience,
00:08:18.180 I don't know
00:08:19.200 if anybody would have
00:08:20.120 a bigger number
00:08:21.080 multiplying,
00:08:22.460 you know,
00:08:22.660 if you could theoretically
00:08:23.880 come up with some kind
00:08:25.180 of a number
00:08:25.980 or a grade
00:08:26.740 for how influential
00:08:28.280 somebody is
00:08:29.060 on top of how big
00:08:30.100 their audience is.
00:08:31.300 I don't know
00:08:31.960 if anybody would have
00:08:32.640 a bigger combination.
00:08:34.100 So imagine,
00:08:34.740 if you will,
00:08:36.240 that CNN
00:08:37.960 could manage
00:08:38.940 to take
00:08:40.940 Tucker Carlson
00:08:41.880 off the air.
00:08:42.480 Now they would do it
00:08:44.360 presumably just because
00:08:45.640 it would be good
00:08:46.260 for competition, right?
00:08:47.660 They'd try to
00:08:48.240 take out their competitor.
00:08:50.500 But what would happen
00:08:51.260 to the republic?
00:08:53.500 How many people
00:08:54.320 do you think,
00:08:55.760 hypothetically,
00:08:57.860 theoretically,
00:08:58.820 if I could use it
00:08:59.540 in a non-scientific sense,
00:09:01.580 how many people
00:09:02.360 do you think
00:09:03.040 Tucker Carlson
00:09:04.500 influences
00:09:06.180 to vote
00:09:06.840 the way they vote?
00:09:08.500 It's not zero,
00:09:10.680 but is it enough
00:09:11.700 that if you took
00:09:12.700 his voice out,
00:09:13.940 I see Rush Limbaugh
00:09:15.020 being mentioned
00:09:15.620 in the comments.
00:09:16.360 Yeah, same thing.
00:09:17.440 If you take out
00:09:18.180 a Rush Limbaugh,
00:09:20.120 Greg Goffeld,
00:09:22.240 you know,
00:09:22.440 the people
00:09:23.680 who've got
00:09:23.960 the biggest audiences,
00:09:26.080 do you change votes?
00:09:28.140 You know,
00:09:28.520 I asked
00:09:29.040 on Twitter,
00:09:30.520 I asked my Twitter followers
00:09:31.720 I don't know,
00:09:32.180 a few years ago,
00:09:33.280 I asked how many people
00:09:34.360 decided to vote
00:09:36.040 for Trump
00:09:36.700 because of
00:09:37.740 something I said.
00:09:39.600 And I think
00:09:40.080 I got 1,500 people
00:09:41.740 who said
00:09:42.020 they changed
00:09:42.600 their vote
00:09:43.220 specifically
00:09:44.780 because of
00:09:45.480 something I said.
00:09:47.560 Now,
00:09:48.000 that was just
00:09:48.600 my tiny little
00:09:49.680 Twitter following
00:09:50.860 and the people
00:09:52.540 who saw
00:09:53.880 that Twitter poll
00:09:54.800 and also
00:09:55.960 wanted to answer it.
00:09:57.940 So,
00:09:58.520 I had 1,500 people
00:10:00.520 after all of
00:10:01.960 those filters
00:10:02.700 that said
00:10:04.360 directly
00:10:04.940 that I changed
00:10:05.800 their vote.
00:10:06.700 How many people
00:10:08.440 have their vote
00:10:09.680 changed by
00:10:10.180 a Tucker Carlson
00:10:11.260 or a Hannity
00:10:12.980 or a Rush Limbaugh?
00:10:16.060 It's a big number.
00:10:17.980 You know,
00:10:18.160 we could find out
00:10:19.160 that the passing
00:10:20.160 of Rush Limbaugh
00:10:21.360 ends up
00:10:22.040 changing the,
00:10:23.900 you know,
00:10:24.760 the look of America.
00:10:26.960 I mean,
00:10:27.440 it could be enough
00:10:28.260 because all of our
00:10:29.260 presidential elections
00:10:30.240 are kind of close.
00:10:31.120 so one major voice
00:10:34.040 taken off the field
00:10:35.180 if it's,
00:10:36.260 you know,
00:10:36.480 somebody as big
00:10:37.060 as a Tucker
00:10:37.820 or a Limbaugh was.
00:10:40.500 I don't know.
00:10:41.060 Could that change politics?
00:10:42.540 I think it could.
00:10:44.440 Hypothetically.
00:10:46.460 All right.
00:10:47.860 So,
00:10:48.500 that's fun.
00:10:49.500 I just tweeted
00:10:53.020 just before I got out here
00:10:54.220 and so it's worth
00:10:55.580 checking it out
00:10:56.340 on my Twitter feed.
00:10:57.560 It would be near the top.
00:10:59.720 So,
00:11:00.040 Andres Beckhaus
00:11:01.120 was doing some
00:11:01.700 translating
00:11:02.240 on a German
00:11:03.140 I think it was
00:11:06.120 a virologist
00:11:06.940 and expert
00:11:07.580 talking about
00:11:08.940 basically the only way
00:11:10.480 we have out
00:11:11.200 of the pandemic.
00:11:13.180 And what was special
00:11:14.480 about it
00:11:14.900 is it seemed like
00:11:15.660 it was the first
00:11:16.280 honest expert opinion
00:11:18.820 that I've seen.
00:11:20.680 Because,
00:11:21.220 you know,
00:11:21.400 I keep asking
00:11:22.160 what exactly
00:11:23.400 is the strategy?
00:11:24.860 What are we trying to do?
00:11:26.020 Are we still flattening
00:11:26.900 the curve
00:11:27.440 or trying to get to zero?
00:11:29.320 It feels like
00:11:30.140 it's not being expressed
00:11:31.340 in a way
00:11:32.340 that the public
00:11:32.920 can say,
00:11:33.440 okay,
00:11:33.780 I like it
00:11:34.340 or I don't like it
00:11:35.100 but at least
00:11:35.420 I know what it is.
00:11:36.900 Like,
00:11:37.180 I understand it.
00:11:38.260 And then every country
00:11:39.180 is doing its own thing
00:11:40.140 in every state.
00:11:41.460 So,
00:11:41.740 you don't really have
00:11:42.280 a good sense
00:11:43.300 of what the strategy is.
00:11:45.520 And so,
00:11:45.760 that's what
00:11:46.220 this piece
00:11:47.440 describes
00:11:48.120 from this expert.
00:11:50.260 And the basic idea
00:11:51.480 is this.
00:11:51.920 So,
00:11:52.080 you want to get
00:11:52.460 from a pandemic
00:11:53.260 where,
00:11:53.960 you know,
00:11:54.780 people are dying
00:11:55.800 and it's affecting
00:11:56.640 the,
00:11:57.760 or they're dying
00:11:58.920 at too large a rate
00:12:00.460 and it's affecting
00:12:02.060 the economy
00:12:02.780 and life
00:12:03.220 and all that.
00:12:03.920 You want to get
00:12:04.460 to the point
00:12:04.840 where it's just
00:12:05.420 sort of endemic
00:12:06.440 where it's something
00:12:07.580 you live with
00:12:08.300 because it's not
00:12:09.300 going away.
00:12:10.500 So,
00:12:10.920 here's an expert
00:12:11.560 saying,
00:12:12.340 it's not going away.
00:12:14.960 So,
00:12:15.560 let's just hear this
00:12:16.700 as clearly
00:12:17.560 as we can.
00:12:18.880 New Zealand,
00:12:20.360 it's not going away.
00:12:22.980 It's just not
00:12:23.780 going away.
00:12:24.920 Right?
00:12:25.100 So,
00:12:25.200 that's the first part
00:12:26.100 of the strategy
00:12:27.760 you need to know.
00:12:28.720 It's not going away.
00:12:30.720 So,
00:12:31.600 how do you live
00:12:33.180 with it?
00:12:33.560 And his suggestion
00:12:34.680 is that
00:12:35.280 if you got
00:12:36.280 over-vaccinated,
00:12:37.520 if such a thing
00:12:38.260 existed,
00:12:39.180 it might not be good
00:12:40.200 because
00:12:41.460 if too few people
00:12:44.060 get the infection,
00:12:46.120 you can't get
00:12:46.800 to the better
00:12:47.700 kind of immunity
00:12:49.140 where people
00:12:50.360 just learn to live
00:12:51.120 with it like
00:12:51.600 a cold,
00:12:52.460 basically.
00:12:52.800 So,
00:12:54.680 the idea
00:12:55.340 is that
00:12:55.760 maybe the best
00:12:56.760 strategy
00:12:57.400 is to be
00:12:58.500 vaccinated
00:12:59.140 and infected.
00:13:01.500 But in the long run,
00:13:03.060 you want the
00:13:03.580 vaccinations
00:13:04.140 and the infections
00:13:05.200 to be at a low rate
00:13:06.400 so that they're not
00:13:08.340 wiping out
00:13:09.140 our healthcare system.
00:13:10.960 So,
00:13:11.360 I don't know
00:13:12.080 if anybody
00:13:12.440 said that directly
00:13:13.300 before,
00:13:13.780 have they?
00:13:14.640 Has anybody
00:13:15.180 said directly,
00:13:16.720 we want to be
00:13:17.620 vaccinated
00:13:18.280 and infected
00:13:19.960 because it's
00:13:21.000 the only way
00:13:21.580 to get from
00:13:22.080 pandemic to
00:13:22.840 endemic
00:13:23.360 where you
00:13:24.020 just live
00:13:24.440 with it.
00:13:26.420 Yeah,
00:13:27.220 I'm seeing
00:13:27.580 in the comments
00:13:28.020 somebody says
00:13:28.560 I said it.
00:13:29.880 Well,
00:13:30.020 that's true.
00:13:30.840 But I don't
00:13:32.580 think anybody
00:13:33.180 who had credentials
00:13:34.860 had said it
00:13:35.600 out loud
00:13:36.080 that I've heard
00:13:36.740 of.
00:13:38.060 So,
00:13:38.380 that would be
00:13:39.260 interesting.
00:13:40.380 Now,
00:13:40.640 that's just one
00:13:41.200 person giving
00:13:42.020 their one opinion.
00:13:43.120 It doesn't mean
00:13:43.560 it's any country's
00:13:44.620 strategy yet,
00:13:45.640 but it should be.
00:13:48.620 Twitter user
00:13:49.460 Paul Collider
00:13:50.280 had an observation
00:13:52.780 that I think
00:13:54.740 is pretty
00:13:56.000 meaningful
00:13:56.520 as we're
00:13:57.560 trying to
00:13:57.980 sort out
00:13:58.600 ivermectin
00:14:00.500 and what's
00:14:01.760 real and
00:14:02.400 what's not.
00:14:03.940 And Paul
00:14:05.160 notes that
00:14:05.940 no horse
00:14:06.920 has died
00:14:07.400 of COVID.
00:14:09.280 And I
00:14:10.120 thought to
00:14:10.460 myself,
00:14:11.840 well,
00:14:12.060 that's true.
00:14:13.940 No horse
00:14:15.180 has died
00:14:17.220 of COVID.
00:14:17.680 at least
00:14:21.400 as far
00:14:21.740 as we
00:14:22.000 know.
00:14:22.800 Now,
00:14:23.280 if we've
00:14:23.700 learned
00:14:23.880 anything
00:14:24.200 from the
00:14:24.760 election,
00:14:26.380 the last
00:14:27.080 election,
00:14:27.860 it's that
00:14:28.380 if a court
00:14:28.980 has not
00:14:29.440 found any
00:14:29.980 fraud,
00:14:30.360 then there
00:14:30.600 was none
00:14:31.020 because the
00:14:32.500 court didn't
00:14:32.880 find it.
00:14:34.300 Likewise,
00:14:35.000 if there are
00:14:35.520 no news
00:14:36.120 reports of
00:14:36.720 any horses
00:14:37.260 dying of
00:14:38.040 COVID,
00:14:38.540 well,
00:14:38.800 there are
00:14:39.040 none.
00:14:39.860 That's
00:14:40.140 proof.
00:14:41.340 No reports
00:14:42.180 of it means
00:14:42.720 there are
00:14:43.160 none,
00:14:44.280 just like
00:14:44.840 the
00:14:44.960 election.
00:14:47.400 And
00:14:47.740 since we
00:14:48.780 know horses
00:14:50.060 take this
00:14:50.700 ivermectin
00:14:51.560 stuff for
00:14:52.080 horses,
00:14:53.380 don't you
00:14:53.920 put that
00:14:54.320 in your
00:14:54.560 body,
00:14:54.960 people.
00:14:55.740 I'm
00:14:55.960 talking about
00:14:56.480 horse
00:14:57.140 dewormer
00:14:58.540 made for
00:14:59.640 horses.
00:15:01.180 Don't put
00:15:01.900 it in your
00:15:02.220 body.
00:15:03.280 But if
00:15:04.980 horses are
00:15:05.580 taking it
00:15:06.180 and no
00:15:07.580 horses have
00:15:08.120 died of
00:15:08.500 COVID,
00:15:10.620 I'm just
00:15:11.180 putting it
00:15:11.540 out there.
00:15:11.880 ipso
00:15:14.820 facto
00:15:15.340 QED,
00:15:16.900 logic.
00:15:17.840 That's
00:15:18.100 called
00:15:18.320 logical.
00:15:19.200 That's
00:15:19.460 how it
00:15:19.720 works.
00:15:21.180 If any
00:15:22.000 dumb people
00:15:22.460 are watching,
00:15:23.060 I'm just
00:15:23.520 joking.
00:15:24.440 Just
00:15:24.700 joking.
00:15:26.940 CNN has
00:15:27.740 their
00:15:28.100 anecdotal
00:15:29.880 persuasion
00:15:30.860 brainwashing
00:15:31.600 of the
00:15:31.880 day.
00:15:32.580 Every day
00:15:33.180 they'll have
00:15:33.660 a story
00:15:34.040 about
00:15:34.300 somebody
00:15:34.900 who
00:15:35.620 tragically
00:15:36.300 had a
00:15:36.760 bad
00:15:37.000 outcome
00:15:37.520 with
00:15:37.920 COVID-19
00:15:39.560 who wishes
00:15:40.120 now they
00:15:40.680 had been
00:15:41.000 vaccinated.
00:15:41.880 Oh boy,
00:15:42.740 do they
00:15:42.980 wish now
00:15:43.500 they had
00:15:43.800 been
00:15:43.940 vaccinated.
00:15:45.320 So today's
00:15:45.960 is the
00:15:46.420 Florida teen
00:15:47.300 who spent
00:15:48.600 11 days
00:15:49.180 on a
00:15:49.500 ventilator
00:15:49.960 and nearly
00:15:50.360 died.
00:15:51.580 But it
00:15:51.880 looks like
00:15:52.600 she'll be
00:15:52.860 okay now.
00:15:53.960 And she
00:15:54.380 has a
00:15:54.660 message for
00:15:55.200 her peers
00:15:55.940 that they
00:15:56.320 should get
00:15:56.640 vaccinated.
00:15:58.280 Did I
00:15:58.700 mention
00:15:58.940 obese?
00:16:00.840 Oh,
00:16:01.280 the story
00:16:01.660 doesn't
00:16:01.960 mention her
00:16:02.520 weight,
00:16:03.940 but the
00:16:05.020 photograph
00:16:05.360 does.
00:16:07.040 Feels
00:16:07.520 like that's
00:16:08.240 important to
00:16:08.840 the story
00:16:09.340 and yet
00:16:09.840 overlooked.
00:16:11.880 But the
00:16:12.580 photograph
00:16:12.900 tells that
00:16:13.420 story.
00:16:14.440 Because if
00:16:14.820 we're not
00:16:15.180 telling people
00:16:15.800 to lose
00:16:16.640 weight and
00:16:18.400 we're only
00:16:18.960 telling them
00:16:19.460 to get
00:16:19.760 vaccinated,
00:16:20.880 I feel
00:16:21.460 as if part
00:16:23.160 of the
00:16:23.380 story has
00:16:24.680 been left
00:16:25.060 out.
00:16:27.220 All right,
00:16:28.100 I asked this
00:16:28.840 provocative
00:16:29.340 question on
00:16:30.280 Twitter.
00:16:30.740 I said,
00:16:31.100 does it
00:16:31.520 really matter
00:16:31.940 if we
00:16:32.400 ever have
00:16:32.960 proof that
00:16:33.600 the Wuhan
00:16:34.060 lab was
00:16:34.860 the source
00:16:35.340 of the
00:16:35.980 coronavirus?
00:16:36.980 Now,
00:16:38.680 almost every
00:16:39.320 one of you
00:16:39.780 is going
00:16:40.100 to say
00:16:40.360 something like,
00:16:41.020 of course
00:16:41.500 it matters.
00:16:42.900 Of course
00:16:43.300 it matters.
00:16:44.460 Because if
00:16:44.900 you don't
00:16:45.220 know the
00:16:45.600 source of
00:16:45.980 the leak,
00:16:46.400 number one,
00:16:47.580 how are
00:16:47.980 you ever
00:16:48.280 going to
00:16:48.580 correct what
00:16:49.160 the problem
00:16:49.520 was?
00:16:50.500 Number two,
00:16:51.700 you've got to
00:16:52.080 hold somebody
00:16:52.520 accountable.
00:16:53.800 You've got to
00:16:54.260 hold China
00:16:54.760 accountable if
00:16:55.440 it came from
00:16:55.880 there.
00:16:56.420 And if it
00:16:56.820 didn't come
00:16:57.260 from there,
00:16:57.760 well, then
00:16:58.220 we should
00:16:58.540 back off of
00:16:59.160 China.
00:16:59.500 That would
00:16:59.740 only be
00:17:00.140 fair.
00:17:00.880 So yes,
00:17:02.040 yes, it
00:17:02.440 matters a lot.
00:17:04.520 No, it
00:17:05.060 doesn't.
00:17:05.460 It doesn't
00:17:06.660 matter at
00:17:07.040 all.
00:17:08.380 It doesn't
00:17:08.840 matter even
00:17:09.320 a little
00:17:09.720 bit.
00:17:11.520 Because China
00:17:12.360 will always
00:17:12.980 say it
00:17:13.320 didn't come
00:17:13.760 from there.
00:17:15.960 Right?
00:17:16.720 Is there
00:17:17.060 anything we
00:17:17.660 could possibly
00:17:18.240 do in
00:17:19.460 any universe
00:17:20.240 that would
00:17:20.620 make China
00:17:21.100 say,
00:17:21.460 oh, you
00:17:21.840 got us.
00:17:22.940 You got
00:17:23.500 us.
00:17:24.260 Yep.
00:17:25.280 Came from
00:17:25.800 there.
00:17:26.540 So there
00:17:27.120 will always
00:17:27.480 be competing
00:17:28.160 stories.
00:17:29.460 There will
00:17:29.640 always be
00:17:30.000 people saying
00:17:30.620 it did,
00:17:31.060 and there
00:17:31.300 will always
00:17:31.520 be major
00:17:32.420 entities saying
00:17:33.160 it didn't.
00:17:34.080 So that's
00:17:34.540 not going
00:17:34.780 to change.
00:17:35.460 Now, what
00:17:37.220 is it that
00:17:37.660 we would
00:17:38.040 fix if
00:17:39.240 we found
00:17:39.680 out it
00:17:40.060 did come
00:17:40.460 from China?
00:17:41.980 What would
00:17:42.560 we do
00:17:43.040 differently?
00:17:45.660 Would we
00:17:46.340 say, hey,
00:17:47.600 now that we
00:17:48.160 know this
00:17:48.580 got out
00:17:48.920 from the
00:17:49.300 lab, I'm
00:17:50.600 just brainstorming
00:17:51.480 here, but
00:17:52.400 why don't we
00:17:52.880 try to make
00:17:53.380 the deadly
00:17:54.540 virus lab as
00:17:56.480 secure as
00:17:57.180 we can?
00:17:59.380 Is that
00:17:59.980 what they're
00:18:00.460 going to
00:18:00.700 do?
00:18:01.420 Or were
00:18:02.500 they already
00:18:03.020 trying to
00:18:03.520 do that?
00:18:04.040 is it
00:18:05.380 possible that
00:18:06.700 they tried
00:18:07.640 already to
00:18:08.360 make it as
00:18:08.800 secure as
00:18:09.440 they possibly
00:18:10.100 could?
00:18:11.360 And did
00:18:11.680 they, did
00:18:13.660 they, maybe
00:18:16.180 take it up
00:18:17.140 another notch,
00:18:18.580 not even
00:18:19.300 knowing if it
00:18:19.900 came from the
00:18:20.440 lab, don't
00:18:21.580 you think they
00:18:22.040 maybe took it
00:18:22.840 up another
00:18:23.220 notch?
00:18:24.700 Probably.
00:18:26.080 And it
00:18:26.640 doesn't matter
00:18:27.100 if we ever
00:18:27.660 find out it
00:18:28.180 came from
00:18:28.500 that lab,
00:18:29.040 because they're
00:18:29.380 still going to
00:18:30.420 treat it like
00:18:30.960 it did.
00:18:31.360 So I
00:18:32.880 think in
00:18:33.280 terms of
00:18:33.800 finding out
00:18:34.900 how it
00:18:35.360 got out,
00:18:36.160 we're never
00:18:36.780 going to
00:18:37.080 know whose
00:18:38.020 shoe it
00:18:38.800 came out
00:18:39.320 on, just
00:18:40.740 to use a
00:18:41.440 silly example.
00:18:42.700 We're not
00:18:43.100 going to
00:18:43.300 know which
00:18:44.600 crack in
00:18:45.760 the window
00:18:46.220 the first
00:18:47.220 coronavirus
00:18:47.860 snuck
00:18:48.800 through,
00:18:49.980 right?
00:18:51.000 I mean,
00:18:51.400 even if we
00:18:51.920 found out it
00:18:52.500 came from
00:18:52.880 the lab,
00:18:53.460 and I'm
00:18:53.720 just joking
00:18:54.420 about the
00:18:54.820 examples,
00:18:55.400 obviously,
00:18:56.100 we're not
00:18:56.840 going to
00:18:56.980 know exactly
00:18:57.580 how it
00:18:57.960 got out of
00:18:58.300 the lab.
00:18:59.540 We'll just
00:19:00.000 know, well,
00:19:00.440 it looks
00:19:00.640 like it
00:19:01.060 came from
00:19:01.340 there somehow.
00:19:02.680 So the
00:19:03.220 best we
00:19:03.640 can do is
00:19:04.980 triple our
00:19:06.080 efforts to
00:19:06.740 make labs
00:19:07.560 that have
00:19:08.000 any kind of
00:19:08.500 danger in
00:19:09.060 them extra
00:19:09.680 extra safe.
00:19:11.060 And I'm
00:19:11.380 sure they're
00:19:11.740 doing that
00:19:12.120 anyway.
00:19:13.700 Aren't you?
00:19:14.860 I mean, I
00:19:15.560 feel like they
00:19:15.980 would be doing
00:19:16.400 that anyway,
00:19:17.700 no matter
00:19:18.340 what.
00:19:19.720 So I don't
00:19:20.240 buy the
00:19:20.580 argument that
00:19:21.360 we would do
00:19:21.920 anything
00:19:22.200 differently,
00:19:23.380 because we're
00:19:23.780 probably doing
00:19:24.220 everything we
00:19:24.740 can.
00:19:26.860 Next, what
00:19:28.020 about holding
00:19:28.580 China accountable?
00:19:30.440 Well, you
00:19:31.660 can't hold
00:19:32.120 them accountable
00:19:32.700 in the
00:19:33.420 normal way,
00:19:34.320 because they'll
00:19:35.260 just say they
00:19:35.860 didn't do
00:19:36.220 it.
00:19:37.240 They'll just
00:19:37.640 say it really
00:19:38.160 came from
00:19:38.620 America, it's
00:19:39.360 propaganda.
00:19:40.720 And you
00:19:41.280 can't hold
00:19:41.700 them accountable
00:19:42.240 by, I
00:19:43.260 don't know
00:19:43.540 what, giving
00:19:44.880 them the
00:19:45.340 bill?
00:19:46.580 Are we
00:19:47.140 going to
00:19:47.400 invoice them?
00:19:48.880 And China's
00:19:49.560 going to be,
00:19:50.040 oh, darn
00:19:51.180 it, we've
00:19:52.120 been saying we
00:19:52.800 had nothing
00:19:53.200 to do with
00:19:53.720 this, but
00:19:54.520 now we have
00:19:55.080 an invoice.
00:19:55.580 Well, I
00:19:57.100 guess we
00:19:57.800 have to pay
00:19:58.300 the $10
00:19:58.720 trillion.
00:19:59.800 Write a
00:20:00.440 check, will
00:20:00.840 you?
00:20:01.300 Write that
00:20:01.840 check.
00:20:02.900 I mean, that's
00:20:03.300 not going to
00:20:03.660 happen.
00:20:05.500 And do you
00:20:06.820 imagine that
00:20:07.420 there's some
00:20:07.760 kind of
00:20:08.120 retaliation we
00:20:09.100 would do for
00:20:09.600 this, that
00:20:11.060 we're not
00:20:11.560 doing for the
00:20:12.200 Uyghurs, that
00:20:13.780 we're not
00:20:14.180 doing over
00:20:14.700 trade injustices,
00:20:16.520 you know,
00:20:16.760 stealing our
00:20:17.480 IP?
00:20:18.560 Suddenly we're
00:20:19.360 going to get
00:20:19.720 tough?
00:20:20.860 Like this will
00:20:21.700 be the thing
00:20:22.140 that makes us
00:20:22.640 get tough?
00:20:23.160 I doubt
00:20:24.240 it, because
00:20:25.700 I think we're
00:20:26.220 doing everything
00:20:26.780 that you can
00:20:27.360 do with a
00:20:29.340 nuclear superpower
00:20:30.580 that's, you
00:20:31.600 know, a
00:20:31.820 gigantic part of
00:20:32.620 the world
00:20:33.060 economy.
00:20:34.040 There's just
00:20:34.380 so much you
00:20:34.800 can do.
00:20:35.680 We're probably
00:20:36.260 already at the
00:20:37.100 edge of it.
00:20:39.100 So, I think
00:20:41.120 if you really
00:20:41.640 thought about
00:20:42.360 it, you
00:20:43.620 would learn
00:20:44.060 that it
00:20:45.280 will never
00:20:45.760 matter if
00:20:46.560 we know
00:20:46.920 where it
00:20:47.260 came from.
00:20:47.820 It just
00:20:48.040 won't ever
00:20:48.480 matter.
00:20:48.780 And what
00:20:55.080 else is
00:20:55.420 going on?
00:20:55.920 Well, Ron
00:20:58.900 DeSantis in
00:20:59.660 Florida, they've
00:21:00.660 got this deal
00:21:01.380 where they're
00:21:01.880 going to fine
00:21:03.100 any entity in
00:21:04.100 Florida $5,000
00:21:05.280 if that entity
00:21:07.140 requires vaccination
00:21:09.000 proof.
00:21:10.380 So, if the
00:21:10.940 only way you
00:21:11.740 can use a
00:21:12.120 company is by
00:21:13.000 proving you're
00:21:13.540 vaccinated,
00:21:15.180 Florida will
00:21:16.760 now fine you
00:21:17.440 $5,000.
00:21:18.780 To which I
00:21:20.300 say, unless
00:21:21.640 Trump runs
00:21:23.720 for re-election,
00:21:26.020 the Republicans
00:21:27.080 can just skip
00:21:27.900 the primaries.
00:21:29.360 Because I feel
00:21:30.100 like it's
00:21:31.380 just got to
00:21:31.840 be DeSantis,
00:21:33.820 right?
00:21:35.120 I can't
00:21:36.000 imagine anybody
00:21:36.540 else would
00:21:36.880 even have a
00:21:37.300 chance at
00:21:37.920 this point.
00:21:38.640 He's doing
00:21:39.220 such a
00:21:39.880 populist,
00:21:41.460 spot-on,
00:21:43.420 this is what
00:21:43.980 the people
00:21:44.360 want, even
00:21:45.460 if maybe
00:21:46.260 science disagrees,
00:21:47.700 it's what the
00:21:48.120 people want.
00:21:48.780 And that's
00:21:49.700 who vote.
00:21:50.860 So, it's
00:21:53.520 kind of
00:21:53.840 perfect again.
00:21:55.100 But again,
00:21:55.840 if Trump
00:21:57.140 decides to
00:21:57.660 run, I'm
00:21:58.100 sure he'll
00:21:58.400 get the
00:21:58.720 nomination.
00:22:02.040 But here's
00:22:02.920 the counter
00:22:03.360 argument.
00:22:04.740 As popular
00:22:05.420 as this is,
00:22:06.260 because people
00:22:06.680 don't like,
00:22:08.220 or a lot
00:22:08.700 of people
00:22:08.940 don't like
00:22:09.400 the
00:22:09.680 vaccination
00:22:10.820 proof idea,
00:22:12.460 there's a
00:22:13.680 little bit
00:22:13.980 of a pushback
00:22:14.720 on the
00:22:15.280 free market
00:22:16.060 concept,
00:22:17.460 which is,
00:22:18.780 why can't
00:22:19.220 a business
00:22:19.620 decide to
00:22:22.040 do any
00:22:23.000 kind of
00:22:23.300 business they
00:22:23.780 want?
00:22:24.620 If they're
00:22:25.220 not discriminating
00:22:26.360 based on,
00:22:27.060 let's say,
00:22:27.380 race or
00:22:27.940 religion,
00:22:29.380 and not
00:22:30.500 really
00:22:30.740 discriminating
00:22:31.400 on, I
00:22:32.700 don't know,
00:22:33.240 disability or
00:22:34.240 anything else,
00:22:34.800 really, if
00:22:35.920 they're not
00:22:36.240 doing one of
00:22:36.800 the forbidden
00:22:37.540 discriminations,
00:22:39.440 why can't a
00:22:40.480 company in the
00:22:41.660 United States
00:22:42.380 say, you
00:22:44.360 must wear a
00:22:45.020 shirt?
00:22:46.520 They can.
00:22:47.800 They can say,
00:22:49.280 we won't
00:22:49.660 serve you if
00:22:50.420 you don't
00:22:50.900 wear a
00:22:51.240 shirt.
00:22:52.980 What about
00:22:53.620 shoes?
00:22:55.180 They can say,
00:22:55.940 you can't
00:22:56.240 come in our
00:22:56.700 place if you
00:22:58.240 don't have
00:22:58.560 shoes.
00:22:59.980 So why can't
00:23:00.780 they say,
00:23:01.300 you can't
00:23:01.640 come in if
00:23:02.020 you don't
00:23:02.220 have a
00:23:02.500 vaccination?
00:23:03.660 This is not
00:23:04.460 my argument.
00:23:05.840 I'm just
00:23:06.240 giving the
00:23:06.900 argument,
00:23:07.480 so don't
00:23:08.460 blame me.
00:23:09.040 I'm just
00:23:09.300 telling you
00:23:09.580 what the
00:23:09.780 argument is.
00:23:10.280 it's not
00:23:12.280 a bad
00:23:12.520 argument.
00:23:13.780 I feel as
00:23:14.520 if I have
00:23:14.880 a little
00:23:15.100 conflict on
00:23:15.820 this one.
00:23:16.600 Don't you?
00:23:17.980 Don't you
00:23:18.500 have a little
00:23:18.860 conflict on
00:23:19.580 this one?
00:23:20.540 Because it
00:23:21.100 seems like
00:23:21.500 there are
00:23:21.760 two things
00:23:22.280 that we
00:23:22.980 want and
00:23:23.840 we can't
00:23:24.240 have them
00:23:24.580 both.
00:23:25.580 What we
00:23:26.140 would want,
00:23:26.960 perhaps,
00:23:27.580 is to use
00:23:28.200 any business
00:23:28.720 you want,
00:23:29.160 whether you're
00:23:29.520 vaccinated or
00:23:30.220 not.
00:23:30.940 Some of you
00:23:31.460 would,
00:23:31.800 many of you
00:23:32.280 wouldn't,
00:23:33.440 but you'd
00:23:34.380 also like
00:23:34.820 free markets.
00:23:36.700 Can't have
00:23:37.160 both, I
00:23:37.680 guess.
00:23:38.440 Pick one.
00:23:38.940 Well, Joe
00:23:40.520 Rogan
00:23:40.920 announces
00:23:41.560 good news.
00:23:42.480 He has
00:23:42.980 tested
00:23:45.440 negative for
00:23:46.140 COVID.
00:23:47.220 So I guess
00:23:48.220 he wasn't
00:23:48.640 vaccinated.
00:23:49.480 I'm pretty
00:23:50.060 sure that's
00:23:50.540 the story.
00:23:51.300 But he
00:23:51.840 did give
00:23:52.240 it the
00:23:52.620 whole
00:23:52.880 cocktail
00:23:53.380 of
00:23:53.980 therapeutics
00:23:55.020 from
00:23:55.500 monoclonals
00:23:57.680 to vitamin
00:23:58.360 D drip
00:23:59.000 to
00:23:59.680 ivermectin
00:24:01.560 to I
00:24:02.620 don't know
00:24:02.820 what else.
00:24:03.160 and he
00:24:08.120 says now
00:24:08.620 he's
00:24:08.940 testing
00:24:09.260 negative
00:24:09.680 for
00:24:10.360 COVID.
00:24:11.460 Now,
00:24:12.020 normally,
00:24:13.560 that would
00:24:14.560 only mean
00:24:15.020 that he
00:24:15.440 was negative
00:24:16.240 because the
00:24:17.180 test just
00:24:17.740 tests a
00:24:18.280 human being.
00:24:19.340 But what
00:24:19.840 if he
00:24:21.000 also had
00:24:21.760 horse worms
00:24:22.940 in his
00:24:23.400 digestive
00:24:23.860 system?
00:24:25.060 Could the
00:24:25.600 worms
00:24:25.920 themselves
00:24:26.440 also have
00:24:28.220 COVID?
00:24:28.780 Well, I'm
00:24:30.900 not sure that
00:24:31.400 that would be
00:24:31.780 picked up in
00:24:32.240 the test.
00:24:33.140 But we
00:24:33.680 don't have
00:24:33.960 to worry
00:24:34.240 about that
00:24:34.760 because he
00:24:35.420 took the
00:24:35.880 ivermectin.
00:24:37.320 And so
00:24:37.640 even if,
00:24:38.620 in the
00:24:38.820 unlikely event,
00:24:39.680 he had
00:24:39.980 any horse
00:24:40.580 worms in
00:24:41.620 him,
00:24:42.400 they would
00:24:42.840 be dead
00:24:43.160 too because
00:24:44.560 of the
00:24:44.760 ivermectin.
00:24:45.980 So I
00:24:46.720 think that's
00:24:47.220 as thoroughly
00:24:48.020 as dewormed
00:24:50.820 and devirused
00:24:52.620 as you can
00:24:53.120 get.
00:24:54.160 So Joe
00:24:54.860 Rogan might
00:24:55.440 be the
00:24:57.080 healthiest
00:24:57.740 person on
00:24:58.340 the planet
00:24:58.740 because not
00:25:01.320 only,
00:25:02.240 does he
00:25:02.780 not have
00:25:03.260 COVID,
00:25:04.320 he's
00:25:04.680 immune as
00:25:05.260 hell,
00:25:06.460 and he
00:25:07.500 definitely
00:25:07.920 does not
00:25:08.500 have worms.
00:25:10.220 So,
00:25:11.580 good on him
00:25:12.600 for being
00:25:13.460 that healthy.
00:25:14.620 But here's
00:25:15.100 the thing
00:25:15.380 to watch.
00:25:16.960 There is
00:25:17.600 a big,
00:25:18.980 big second
00:25:19.940 part of the
00:25:20.560 story,
00:25:22.000 and unless
00:25:23.880 something barks,
00:25:24.900 it's a dog
00:25:25.600 not barking
00:25:26.180 problem,
00:25:27.440 kind of.
00:25:27.880 I overuse
00:25:28.740 that analogy.
00:25:30.980 And it
00:25:31.880 goes like
00:25:32.260 this.
00:25:33.720 God
00:25:34.120 forbid,
00:25:35.060 nobody
00:25:35.400 wants this
00:25:35.820 to happen,
00:25:36.560 of course,
00:25:38.180 but what if
00:25:39.160 he has
00:25:39.540 long-haul
00:25:40.140 symptoms?
00:25:42.640 I don't
00:25:43.360 want to
00:25:43.620 jinx it,
00:25:44.240 so,
00:25:44.580 you know,
00:25:45.180 knock on
00:25:45.560 wood,
00:25:46.420 let's say
00:25:47.040 that he
00:25:47.300 doesn't have
00:25:47.800 that.
00:25:49.920 But there's
00:25:50.620 a risk here.
00:25:51.440 Remember I
00:25:51.820 was talking
00:25:52.220 about Tucker
00:25:53.260 Carlson
00:25:53.800 and the
00:25:54.120 big media
00:25:54.600 figures.
00:25:55.220 They do
00:25:55.660 change votes.
00:25:57.480 There are
00:25:57.840 20 people
00:25:59.040 or so you
00:25:59.560 could name
00:26:00.100 that absolutely
00:26:01.600 can change
00:26:02.580 how we think
00:26:03.140 about a topic
00:26:03.780 and they
00:26:04.120 can do it
00:26:04.480 overnight.
00:26:05.900 What happens
00:26:06.660 if he gets
00:26:07.180 long-haul?
00:26:08.960 Now,
00:26:09.220 I'm not even
00:26:09.620 sure long-haul
00:26:10.160 is real,
00:26:11.300 right?
00:26:12.060 I mean,
00:26:12.440 people report
00:26:13.160 it,
00:26:13.500 people are
00:26:13.880 very credible
00:26:14.520 in reporting
00:26:15.120 it,
00:26:15.460 doctors report
00:26:16.340 having it,
00:26:17.300 Dr. Drew,
00:26:17.980 for example.
00:26:19.160 So,
00:26:19.560 you know,
00:26:20.060 to me it
00:26:20.800 looks completely
00:26:21.640 credible.
00:26:23.260 Well,
00:26:23.580 you know,
00:26:24.140 we live
00:26:24.720 in a world
00:26:25.060 where we
00:26:25.460 could be
00:26:25.760 surprised about
00:26:26.400 just about
00:26:26.800 anything these
00:26:27.860 days.
00:26:28.260 So,
00:26:28.720 maybe it's
00:26:29.200 not even
00:26:29.600 real.
00:26:30.720 Maybe it's
00:26:31.220 just a series
00:26:32.160 of coincidences.
00:26:34.000 But,
00:26:34.680 what if it's
00:26:35.260 real?
00:26:36.180 Well,
00:26:36.360 actually,
00:26:36.640 even if it's
00:26:37.040 not.
00:26:38.880 If Joe
00:26:40.480 Rogan had
00:26:41.060 any kind
00:26:41.780 of health
00:26:42.060 problem
00:26:42.460 after this,
00:26:44.660 people are
00:26:45.160 going to
00:26:45.440 associate it
00:26:46.160 with long-haul
00:26:46.780 even if it's
00:26:47.420 not,
00:26:48.560 right?
00:26:49.240 So,
00:26:49.540 people are
00:26:49.900 going to be
00:26:50.200 watching his
00:26:51.280 post,
00:26:53.260 you know,
00:26:54.380 post-infection
00:26:55.200 recovery like
00:26:56.180 nobody else's
00:26:57.720 since Trump,
00:26:58.780 I guess.
00:27:00.020 And because
00:27:01.060 Joe Rogan is
00:27:02.100 sort of also
00:27:03.160 famous for his
00:27:04.260 healthy fitness
00:27:06.160 related lifestyle,
00:27:07.880 if he were to
00:27:08.860 get long-haul,
00:27:11.160 that's going to
00:27:11.580 change the whole
00:27:12.060 conversation.
00:27:13.340 So,
00:27:13.600 let's hope that
00:27:14.040 doesn't happen
00:27:14.660 for his benefit
00:27:15.780 primarily.
00:27:16.400 I almost
00:27:21.220 don't want to
00:27:21.660 even talk
00:27:22.100 about this
00:27:22.500 next thing
00:27:22.980 because it's
00:27:23.660 sad,
00:27:24.260 but I think
00:27:24.820 we need to
00:27:25.400 talk about it.
00:27:26.300 Dana Prino's
00:27:27.120 dog,
00:27:27.860 Jasper,
00:27:28.440 America's
00:27:28.900 dog,
00:27:29.280 has passed
00:27:29.800 away after
00:27:30.360 nine years.
00:27:31.700 And I've got
00:27:32.460 to say,
00:27:32.780 it's like the
00:27:33.200 saddest thing
00:27:33.820 that I've seen
00:27:34.420 in the news
00:27:34.940 in a long
00:27:35.320 time.
00:27:37.680 It actually
00:27:38.440 affected me.
00:27:39.860 I mean,
00:27:40.660 it's not even
00:27:41.320 my dog.
00:27:42.540 And if you
00:27:43.260 don't watch
00:27:43.740 Fox News,
00:27:44.440 you don't
00:27:44.780 know what
00:27:45.020 I'm talking
00:27:45.380 about,
00:27:45.720 but she
00:27:46.660 sort of
00:27:47.320 made her
00:27:47.920 personal dog
00:27:49.460 a character
00:27:51.500 that everybody
00:27:52.540 who watched
00:27:52.940 the show
00:27:53.380 would know
00:27:54.060 and love.
00:27:55.540 And quite
00:27:56.180 successfully
00:27:56.720 sort of built
00:27:57.600 it into her
00:27:58.080 brand and
00:27:58.660 stuff.
00:27:59.680 And you
00:28:00.820 ended up
00:28:01.280 loving that
00:28:01.800 dog even
00:28:02.440 though you
00:28:02.700 didn't know
00:28:03.040 it.
00:28:03.960 You felt
00:28:04.320 like you
00:28:04.640 knew it.
00:28:05.580 It was
00:28:05.840 like a dog
00:28:06.380 you felt
00:28:06.760 like you
00:28:07.160 knew.
00:28:07.940 And I
00:28:08.320 swear,
00:28:09.140 I don't
00:28:10.000 feel that
00:28:10.400 way when
00:28:10.740 humans die
00:28:11.580 unless I
00:28:13.060 know them
00:28:13.460 pretty well.
00:28:14.440 but somebody
00:28:16.640 else's dog
00:28:17.560 and I
00:28:19.200 become a
00:28:19.660 mess.
00:28:20.660 So that
00:28:21.900 is the
00:28:27.000 content that
00:28:27.760 I have
00:28:28.360 for today.
00:28:29.340 So as I
00:28:30.020 told you,
00:28:30.420 it's sort
00:28:30.680 of a slow
00:28:31.060 news day.
00:28:32.460 So I'm
00:28:33.000 going to
00:28:33.160 take some
00:28:33.560 questions if
00:28:34.380 you have
00:28:34.620 any.
00:28:35.480 Don't
00:28:35.760 know if
00:28:35.980 you have
00:28:36.180 any.
00:28:39.340 But I'll
00:28:40.120 pick out as
00:28:41.080 many as I
00:28:41.440 can.
00:28:41.780 So what
00:28:42.040 are the
00:28:42.240 odds we'll
00:28:42.640 be in
00:28:42.940 full pandemic
00:28:43.780 mode in
00:28:44.620 2022 when
00:28:45.820 the election
00:28:46.180 happens?
00:28:47.980 Not zero.
00:28:49.960 I don't
00:28:50.200 know.
00:28:50.420 It's like a
00:28:50.820 50-50,
00:28:51.540 I think.
00:28:53.600 You make
00:28:54.260 no news
00:28:54.800 fun.
00:28:55.220 How's
00:28:55.480 Boo?
00:28:56.700 Boo is
00:28:58.940 mewing
00:28:59.420 differently,
00:28:59.980 but she
00:29:00.600 seems happy.
00:29:03.480 It looks
00:29:04.000 like she's
00:29:06.900 maybe recovering
00:29:08.560 from whatever
00:29:09.140 her problem
00:29:09.560 was.
00:29:09.900 but I'll
00:29:11.000 have somebody
00:29:12.240 take a
00:29:12.620 look at
00:29:12.880 her.
00:29:16.440 What's the
00:29:17.120 recall election
00:29:17.940 looking like?
00:29:18.620 Well, I
00:29:18.900 don't know.
00:29:19.220 Can we
00:29:19.600 trust any
00:29:20.420 polls that
00:29:22.100 are close?
00:29:23.140 When the
00:29:23.680 polls are
00:29:24.200 saying that
00:29:24.800 something is
00:29:25.300 48% and
00:29:27.000 you need
00:29:27.400 50% to
00:29:28.340 talk about
00:29:28.980 the recall
00:29:29.460 election in
00:29:30.100 California,
00:29:31.340 that feels
00:29:32.520 too close
00:29:33.120 to call.
00:29:35.020 So I don't
00:29:35.780 have any
00:29:36.140 special insight
00:29:36.980 into that
00:29:37.480 except that
00:29:38.220 we might
00:29:39.500 see sort
00:29:40.960 of a
00:29:41.140 Trump
00:29:41.380 derangement
00:29:41.900 syndrome,
00:29:42.680 kind of a
00:29:43.280 shy voter
00:29:43.840 thing happening,
00:29:44.600 maybe.
00:29:45.600 So the
00:29:46.540 closer it
00:29:47.080 is to
00:29:47.420 50%,
00:29:48.080 I would
00:29:48.840 say the
00:29:49.440 higher the
00:29:50.020 likelihood
00:29:50.420 the recall
00:29:51.700 will happen.
00:29:53.220 Somebody has
00:29:53.760 a Dilbert
00:29:54.240 lunchbox over
00:29:55.100 on Locals.
00:29:56.000 Get a picture
00:29:56.400 of it.
00:29:57.640 The smoke
00:29:58.340 here is
00:29:58.660 terrible,
00:30:00.380 where I
00:30:01.620 am.
00:30:02.280 Will
00:30:02.440 hypnosis
00:30:02.940 help you
00:30:03.520 learn another
00:30:04.140 language?
00:30:04.660 I've never
00:30:05.100 heard of
00:30:05.900 that.
00:30:06.540 I would
00:30:07.380 be skeptical
00:30:08.060 that that
00:30:08.540 would be
00:30:08.860 a useful
00:30:09.600 use of
00:30:11.020 it.
00:30:14.060 Would
00:30:14.580 you do
00:30:14.880 a mini
00:30:15.200 lesson on
00:30:15.860 overcoming
00:30:16.480 OCD?
00:30:17.520 Well,
00:30:17.860 so here's
00:30:18.280 the problem.
00:30:22.020 Because I'm
00:30:24.300 not a
00:30:24.700 medical
00:30:25.020 professional,
00:30:26.340 something as
00:30:27.040 serious as
00:30:27.600 OCD,
00:30:28.280 that's not
00:30:28.640 really something
00:30:29.100 that I'd
00:30:29.420 mess with.
00:30:30.540 So just
00:30:31.560 being a
00:30:32.760 hypnotist who
00:30:33.680 knows about
00:30:34.160 persuasion,
00:30:35.020 that doesn't
00:30:35.900 get you to
00:30:36.520 where you
00:30:36.860 should be
00:30:37.240 messing with
00:30:37.960 OCD.
00:30:39.140 Now,
00:30:39.320 there may
00:30:39.580 be some
00:30:40.460 things I
00:30:40.800 could suggest
00:30:41.340 that you
00:30:41.620 could try
00:30:42.040 that would
00:30:42.380 be obviously
00:30:43.560 harmless,
00:30:45.240 but beyond
00:30:46.180 that, I
00:30:46.580 wouldn't.
00:30:47.620 I'd stay
00:30:48.240 away from
00:30:48.580 that one,
00:30:49.120 I think.
00:30:53.020 Where do
00:30:53.600 I buy my
00:30:54.160 weed?
00:30:54.560 I'd rather
00:30:55.000 not say,
00:30:55.660 but it's
00:30:56.000 legal in
00:30:56.500 California.
00:30:56.940 I love
00:30:59.360 the fact
00:30:59.700 that it
00:30:59.920 can be
00:31:00.180 delivered.
00:31:05.400 I'll tell
00:31:05.960 you,
00:31:06.180 golden age.
00:31:07.380 Best time
00:31:08.180 management tip?
00:31:09.160 I'm going to
00:31:09.520 give you the
00:31:09.920 most non-obvious
00:31:12.040 time management
00:31:12.820 tip you'll
00:31:13.560 deliver here.
00:31:15.000 Do too
00:31:15.700 many things.
00:31:17.380 Now,
00:31:17.600 you say to
00:31:17.880 yourself,
00:31:18.200 well,
00:31:18.320 that's pretty
00:31:20.740 contrarian.
00:31:21.560 If you have
00:31:22.120 too many
00:31:22.420 things to do,
00:31:23.160 then you're
00:31:23.740 busier.
00:31:25.040 How is
00:31:25.600 that good
00:31:26.480 time management?
00:31:27.640 Well,
00:31:27.940 one of the
00:31:28.200 things I
00:31:28.460 discovered when
00:31:29.180 Dilbert took
00:31:29.820 off, and I
00:31:30.440 was still
00:31:30.720 doing my
00:31:31.160 day job,
00:31:31.840 and I was
00:31:32.140 trying to
00:31:32.500 write a
00:31:32.800 book, and
00:31:33.320 I was so
00:31:34.280 busy, you
00:31:34.780 couldn't even
00:31:35.200 believe it.
00:31:36.780 I found out
00:31:37.660 that it was
00:31:38.040 easier to
00:31:38.680 turn people
00:31:39.260 down if
00:31:40.860 they knew
00:31:41.240 how busy
00:31:41.700 you were.
00:31:42.820 So if you
00:31:43.300 get busy
00:31:43.800 enough to
00:31:45.260 the point
00:31:45.600 where everybody
00:31:46.280 says,
00:31:46.740 he's never
00:31:47.260 going to
00:31:47.500 even answer,
00:31:48.480 take my
00:31:49.080 call.
00:31:50.660 When you're
00:31:51.340 so legendarily
00:31:52.540 busy,
00:31:53.080 that people
00:31:54.680 don't even
00:31:55.280 ask you
00:31:55.820 something,
00:31:56.300 because they
00:31:56.600 know you're
00:31:57.260 never going
00:31:57.620 to get to
00:31:58.040 it, then
00:31:59.500 you're free.
00:32:01.540 And it's
00:32:02.200 really hard to
00:32:02.780 get there.
00:32:04.300 But I'm
00:32:04.920 going to
00:32:05.300 reveal a
00:32:05.940 secret.
00:32:09.140 I'm going to
00:32:09.740 tell you
00:32:10.020 something I've
00:32:10.560 never admitted
00:32:11.260 for my entire
00:32:12.480 career.
00:32:15.680 Those years
00:32:16.620 when I was
00:32:17.160 the busiest,
00:32:18.040 and I was
00:32:18.620 legitimately
00:32:19.100 quite busy,
00:32:20.180 it was really
00:32:21.240 easy to find
00:32:22.060 time for
00:32:22.520 myself.
00:32:23.480 Because I
00:32:24.020 could just
00:32:24.340 say, I'm
00:32:24.660 so busy,
00:32:25.200 I can't
00:32:25.520 get back
00:32:25.840 to you.
00:32:26.740 And it
00:32:27.300 was true.
00:32:28.540 But because
00:32:29.300 of that,
00:32:30.540 I could just
00:32:31.180 ignore everybody.
00:32:32.580 Because everybody
00:32:33.340 thought I was
00:32:33.960 working on
00:32:34.420 something else.
00:32:35.820 So if I
00:32:36.480 didn't get
00:32:36.840 back to you,
00:32:37.340 you thought,
00:32:37.740 well, I
00:32:38.180 understand,
00:32:38.660 he's got
00:32:38.940 ten things
00:32:39.460 to do.
00:32:40.520 But since
00:32:41.240 nineteen and
00:32:42.040 twenty things
00:32:42.720 were going
00:32:43.060 to be late
00:32:43.580 anyway,
00:32:44.980 I could just
00:32:45.460 take the
00:32:45.800 day off.
00:32:47.700 And so,
00:32:48.860 if you
00:32:49.700 could push
00:32:50.180 all the way
00:32:51.060 past busy,
00:32:51.880 to the
00:32:53.040 point where
00:32:53.540 you're so
00:32:54.260 busy you
00:32:54.700 can't
00:32:54.960 possibly get
00:32:55.680 things done,
00:32:56.720 like nobody
00:32:57.340 would even
00:32:57.760 expect that
00:32:59.040 you could
00:32:59.340 possibly handle
00:33:00.280 the mountain
00:33:00.780 of things you
00:33:01.280 have to do,
00:33:02.100 once you
00:33:02.580 get there,
00:33:03.720 you're free.
00:33:04.780 I've never
00:33:06.900 admitted that
00:33:07.520 before.
00:33:08.160 It was my
00:33:08.700 finest trick,
00:33:09.680 and I
00:33:09.960 discovered it
00:33:11.240 completely by
00:33:11.920 accident,
00:33:12.360 when people
00:33:13.480 would start
00:33:13.860 contacting me
00:33:14.600 and saying,
00:33:15.240 I know you
00:33:15.740 can't get
00:33:16.120 back to me,
00:33:16.720 but,
00:33:17.560 I'd be like,
00:33:18.700 well, I
00:33:19.120 guess I'm
00:33:19.500 free.
00:33:21.260 It was
00:33:22.160 awesome.
00:33:26.480 How was
00:33:27.080 the air
00:33:27.340 show?
00:33:27.760 So,
00:33:28.040 Christina's
00:33:28.580 in her
00:33:28.940 second day
00:33:29.480 of the
00:33:29.700 air show
00:33:30.020 today.
00:33:30.360 So,
00:33:31.660 she did
00:33:32.380 two flights
00:33:32.920 yesterday,
00:33:34.240 and she's
00:33:35.440 got, I
00:33:36.140 think, at
00:33:36.960 least one
00:33:37.460 more, maybe
00:33:37.980 two more
00:33:38.400 today, and
00:33:39.840 then we'll
00:33:40.400 have some
00:33:40.760 kind of a
00:33:41.140 judging, I
00:33:41.680 guess.
00:33:44.660 Will the
00:33:45.420 recall vote
00:33:46.060 in California
00:33:46.600 have shenanigans?
00:33:48.860 Well, I
00:33:49.960 feel we're at
00:33:50.560 the point where
00:33:51.240 elections are
00:33:52.080 determined by
00:33:52.720 the rule
00:33:53.200 makers, not
00:33:53.960 the voters,
00:33:55.140 because everything
00:33:55.740 ends up close
00:33:56.700 in terms of
00:33:57.360 the voters,
00:33:58.340 and the
00:33:58.680 difference is
00:33:59.360 what rules
00:33:59.960 they use
00:34:00.340 that year.
00:34:01.700 Did you
00:34:02.060 allow ballot
00:34:02.960 harvesting, yes
00:34:03.840 or no?
00:34:04.400 So, I
00:34:04.660 think all
00:34:04.920 that stuff
00:34:05.420 determines who
00:34:06.240 gets elected.
00:34:12.920 Let's see.
00:34:16.640 WenHub tokens.
00:34:18.320 Well, I
00:34:18.820 wish I could
00:34:19.280 give you
00:34:19.680 better news
00:34:20.280 on the
00:34:20.560 WenHub tokens,
00:34:21.400 but I will
00:34:21.780 tell you that
00:34:22.700 there is at
00:34:23.780 least one
00:34:24.800 app under
00:34:26.240 development that
00:34:27.080 would make
00:34:27.560 use of them.
00:34:28.800 Now,
00:34:29.060 that's not
00:34:30.620 enough of a
00:34:31.380 tip to
00:34:31.760 go out
00:34:32.060 and load
00:34:33.320 up on
00:34:33.760 Wen tokens,
00:34:35.280 but it's
00:34:35.860 true.
00:34:36.880 I do have
00:34:38.080 personal
00:34:38.500 knowledge of
00:34:39.140 an app
00:34:39.540 that's under
00:34:40.680 development
00:34:41.160 that would
00:34:43.480 use the
00:34:43.860 tokens.
00:34:46.280 What is the
00:34:46.940 proper spelling
00:34:47.500 of your
00:34:48.000 wife's name?
00:34:48.780 Oh, it's
00:34:49.160 K-R-I,
00:34:51.280 Christina.
00:34:51.740 everything is
00:34:58.260 close.
00:34:58.800 Yeah, that's
00:34:59.260 true.
00:35:02.760 Can you
00:35:03.380 start over?
00:35:04.080 Sure.
00:35:05.360 Do you
00:35:05.700 like trains?
00:35:07.120 That is an
00:35:08.000 interesting question.
00:35:08.940 Do I like
00:35:09.540 trains?
00:35:10.900 Well, I
00:35:11.480 like their
00:35:12.220 energy
00:35:14.140 efficiency,
00:35:15.660 but otherwise
00:35:17.460 I'm not too
00:35:18.420 excited about
00:35:18.920 it.
00:35:19.080 Oh, thank
00:35:21.620 you, Ed.
00:35:22.840 Yeah, you
00:35:24.200 know, I
00:35:24.720 heard a lot
00:35:25.240 about that.
00:35:26.320 So Ed is
00:35:26.840 talking about
00:35:27.460 how during
00:35:28.340 the early
00:35:28.820 part of the
00:35:29.180 pandemic I
00:35:29.820 was doing
00:35:30.280 morning and
00:35:31.680 evening live
00:35:33.840 streams.
00:35:34.680 And I was
00:35:35.340 doing it
00:35:35.640 specifically
00:35:36.140 because people
00:35:36.860 needed to be
00:35:37.440 talked off the
00:35:38.180 ledge and the
00:35:39.300 regular media
00:35:40.040 wasn't providing
00:35:40.900 much entertainment,
00:35:42.020 so I was just
00:35:43.920 jumping in to do
00:35:44.580 what I could.
00:35:45.060 Now, I
00:35:46.260 didn't realize
00:35:46.780 how much
00:35:47.140 difference it
00:35:48.040 made, because
00:35:49.280 I'm still
00:35:49.760 hearing, you
00:35:50.520 know, a year
00:35:50.980 later, people
00:35:52.460 are still
00:35:52.800 contacting me
00:35:53.640 and telling
00:35:54.120 me that some
00:35:56.060 version of it
00:35:56.700 really helped
00:35:57.780 them or saved
00:35:58.520 their life or
00:35:59.260 kept them sane
00:36:00.580 or something
00:36:01.500 along those
00:36:02.060 lines.
00:36:02.700 So you
00:36:03.300 never know.
00:36:04.620 Yeah, and I'm
00:36:05.220 seeing in the
00:36:05.640 comments people
00:36:06.280 are confirming
00:36:07.800 that.
00:36:08.320 You never
00:36:08.660 really know,
00:36:10.100 swamp captain.
00:36:11.060 I'm still
00:36:15.500 seeing the
00:36:16.900 blanket that I
00:36:17.860 used during the
00:36:18.500 pandemic.
00:36:19.880 By the way, how
00:36:20.760 many of you
00:36:21.560 know the
00:36:22.980 inside joke
00:36:23.940 about the
00:36:24.740 blanket?
00:36:26.140 And I'm not
00:36:26.640 going to tell
00:36:26.980 you what the
00:36:27.660 answer is, but
00:36:29.200 how many in the
00:36:29.860 comments, how
00:36:30.920 many know that
00:36:31.920 the plaid
00:36:33.500 blanket was
00:36:34.280 always an
00:36:34.780 inside joke?
00:36:37.900 I've seen
00:36:38.440 some people say
00:36:39.100 yes.
00:36:39.780 Now, most of
00:36:40.400 you won't know
00:36:40.920 it.
00:36:41.060 so it would
00:36:41.840 be unusual
00:36:42.320 if you knew
00:36:42.880 it.
00:36:43.660 But let's
00:36:45.280 say it's a
00:36:45.700 deep joke.
00:36:48.920 It's a
00:36:49.520 reference to
00:36:50.080 something.
00:36:51.820 So that
00:36:52.460 can be your
00:36:53.760 homework.
00:36:58.320 If I told
00:36:59.560 you, it
00:36:59.860 would ruin
00:37:00.280 it.
00:37:01.060 So I
00:37:01.480 would tell
00:37:01.980 you, because
00:37:02.960 I agree with
00:37:04.540 the rule that
00:37:06.200 if you bring
00:37:06.820 it up, you
00:37:07.920 need to
00:37:08.280 finish it.
00:37:09.300 Do you
00:37:09.620 have that
00:37:09.920 rule?
00:37:10.140 The rule
00:37:12.260 should be
00:37:12.620 that if
00:37:13.000 you bring
00:37:13.320 it up, you
00:37:14.340 should have
00:37:14.660 to finish
00:37:15.060 it.
00:37:16.440 But I was
00:37:17.040 waiting for
00:37:17.420 somebody in the
00:37:17.920 comments to do
00:37:18.620 it for me.
00:37:19.200 All right.
00:37:19.420 So on
00:37:19.760 locals, somebody
00:37:20.840 solved the
00:37:21.740 puzzle.
00:37:22.700 Yeah.
00:37:23.140 So it's a
00:37:23.620 reference to
00:37:24.160 something in a
00:37:25.300 book I wrote
00:37:25.900 called God's
00:37:26.920 Debris.
00:37:27.300 book.
00:37:28.300 And if I
00:37:30.420 finished explaining
00:37:31.540 what that's
00:37:32.560 about, it
00:37:33.380 would be a
00:37:33.960 spoiler for
00:37:34.640 the book.
00:37:35.560 So you
00:37:35.860 don't want to
00:37:36.240 hear it from
00:37:36.560 me.
00:37:36.780 So don't
00:37:37.260 spoil the
00:37:38.020 book.
00:37:38.460 I'll just
00:37:38.840 say that it
00:37:39.260 was a
00:37:39.780 reference to
00:37:42.360 something.
00:37:43.080 And if you
00:37:43.680 knew what the
00:37:44.000 reference is,
00:37:45.400 it would be
00:37:46.500 funny to you.
00:37:47.640 That's all.
00:37:49.520 All right.
00:37:49.820 King Salmon
00:37:50.480 Fish says,
00:37:51.180 it's easier to
00:37:52.600 hack the
00:37:52.920 people than
00:37:53.380 the systems.
00:37:54.680 Even some
00:37:55.220 lamestreams,
00:37:56.200 decide the
00:37:57.500 fate of the
00:37:57.840 end.
00:37:58.240 Yeah, you
00:37:58.740 know, that's
00:38:00.000 probably true.
00:38:00.560 It's easier to
00:38:01.300 brainwash the
00:38:02.040 voters than it
00:38:02.700 is to hack
00:38:03.220 the system.
00:38:04.400 But if you
00:38:05.100 can do both,
00:38:06.560 even better.
00:38:14.940 So let me
00:38:16.820 ask this.
00:38:17.940 For those of
00:38:18.580 you on
00:38:18.880 YouTube, did
00:38:20.060 today's live
00:38:20.840 streams seem
00:38:21.520 any different?
00:38:24.720 To the
00:38:25.320 people on
00:38:25.760 Locals,
00:38:27.800 wink,
00:38:28.460 wink,
00:38:28.860 wink.
00:38:30.660 So just
00:38:31.440 for the
00:38:31.800 YouTube
00:38:32.020 people, was
00:38:33.280 there anything
00:38:33.780 different that
00:38:35.240 you noticed
00:38:35.720 today?
00:38:38.460 The lights?
00:38:39.640 Somebody said,
00:38:40.140 oh, yes,
00:38:40.540 it's just a
00:38:41.020 little bit
00:38:41.280 darker.
00:38:41.920 It's true.
00:38:43.500 Somebody said
00:38:44.400 the mic.
00:38:48.880 Somebody said
00:38:49.540 it's slower.
00:38:50.840 darker
00:38:51.440 lighting,
00:38:52.240 some audio
00:38:52.740 issues.
00:38:54.380 Mary just
00:38:54.940 says yes,
00:38:55.520 but doesn't
00:38:55.880 say what.
00:38:57.960 Most of you
00:38:58.580 think it's
00:38:59.040 the lighting.
00:39:01.640 Oh,
00:39:02.060 somebody says
00:39:02.860 that my
00:39:03.180 energy was,
00:39:04.180 I guess,
00:39:04.880 both high
00:39:05.400 and low.
00:39:08.120 So did
00:39:08.780 my energy
00:39:09.280 go up and
00:39:09.740 down?
00:39:10.120 Was that
00:39:10.420 it?
00:39:11.320 My T-shirt.
00:39:13.020 What's
00:39:13.480 different is
00:39:13.860 my T-shirt.
00:39:14.540 So it
00:39:17.720 looks like
00:39:18.240 this was
00:39:19.640 just like
00:39:20.240 every other
00:39:20.940 live stream,
00:39:22.520 except for
00:39:23.140 the lighting
00:39:23.700 and possibly,
00:39:25.220 no, it's
00:39:25.500 not a
00:39:25.760 V-neck.
00:39:26.500 I'm just
00:39:27.200 being sloppy
00:39:27.880 here.
00:39:28.640 I used
00:39:29.060 two microphones
00:39:29.760 because I'm
00:39:30.620 live streaming.
00:39:31.800 By the way,
00:39:32.420 let me give you
00:39:33.040 an update on
00:39:33.840 my attempt
00:39:35.380 to live
00:39:36.080 stream on
00:39:36.580 the Rumble
00:39:37.180 platform.
00:39:38.020 We're still
00:39:41.240 in the
00:39:41.620 phase where
00:39:42.240 I ask to
00:39:43.000 be a
00:39:43.560 creator and
00:39:44.180 then nothing
00:39:44.580 happens.
00:39:46.500 So I'll
00:39:47.600 keep updating
00:39:48.220 you.
00:39:49.380 So we're
00:39:50.240 on day
00:39:50.700 whatever of
00:39:52.180 either I'm
00:39:53.520 waiting for
00:39:53.900 them or
00:39:54.300 they're waiting
00:39:54.740 for me.
00:39:56.140 So it's
00:39:57.200 always one of
00:39:57.940 those things
00:39:58.360 and I'm
00:39:58.860 part of the
00:39:59.220 problem myself.
00:40:06.380 All right.
00:40:07.280 I think
00:40:07.620 that's all I
00:40:08.180 wanted to
00:40:08.480 talk about
00:40:08.900 today.
00:40:09.680 So I'm
00:40:10.340 going to
00:40:10.500 go run.
00:40:11.300 Oh,
00:40:11.600 somebody says
00:40:12.040 how's the
00:40:12.440 drumming?
00:40:13.780 Let me tell
00:40:14.440 you,
00:40:14.640 the process
00:40:15.660 of learning
00:40:16.400 drumming at
00:40:17.420 my age is
00:40:18.440 way more
00:40:19.420 interesting than
00:40:20.940 I think
00:40:21.360 if I'd
00:40:22.540 learned it
00:40:23.160 as a kid.
00:40:24.700 Now part of
00:40:25.140 the problem
00:40:25.380 is of course
00:40:25.860 I'll never
00:40:26.280 be good at
00:40:26.900 it because
00:40:27.380 if you don't
00:40:27.780 learn it,
00:40:28.480 at least
00:40:28.940 young-ish,
00:40:29.840 I don't
00:40:30.040 think you
00:40:30.320 could ever
00:40:30.620 be good
00:40:31.020 at it.
00:40:32.120 And so I'm
00:40:33.600 just trying to
00:40:34.040 get to the
00:40:34.400 point where I
00:40:34.860 could play along
00:40:35.840 with some
00:40:36.260 popular song.
00:40:37.380 Now I think
00:40:38.520 I'll get
00:40:39.080 there.
00:40:39.360 I'm getting
00:40:39.520 pretty close.
00:40:40.720 But it's
00:40:42.440 fascinating to
00:40:43.120 follow the
00:40:43.680 thought process,
00:40:44.780 the learning
00:40:45.220 process, to
00:40:46.640 learn about
00:40:47.580 how you
00:40:48.140 learn and
00:40:49.300 to watch it
00:40:50.160 happen as
00:40:50.800 it's happening
00:40:51.280 and such.
00:40:51.720 and there's
00:40:53.140 a whole
00:40:53.380 mental process
00:40:54.520 that you
00:40:55.500 have to
00:40:55.880 get and
00:40:56.900 you're
00:40:57.720 effectively
00:40:58.400 you're
00:40:58.980 rewiring
00:41:00.400 your own
00:41:00.840 brain.
00:41:02.420 And the
00:41:02.940 fact that
00:41:03.380 you can
00:41:03.900 disassociate
00:41:05.640 your limbs
00:41:06.380 so that
00:41:07.780 your right
00:41:08.200 hand,
00:41:08.680 your left
00:41:09.060 hand,
00:41:09.500 your right
00:41:09.920 leg,
00:41:10.600 and your
00:41:10.840 left leg,
00:41:12.100 and maybe
00:41:13.280 even your
00:41:13.660 shoulders,
00:41:14.860 are independently
00:41:15.960 and then
00:41:16.720 your brain
00:41:17.620 are all
00:41:19.800 doing different
00:41:20.400 functions.
00:41:22.540 And the
00:41:23.620 fact that,
00:41:24.700 especially at
00:41:25.600 my age,
00:41:26.420 to imagine
00:41:26.800 that at
00:41:27.160 my age,
00:41:28.460 somewhat
00:41:29.020 effortlessly,
00:41:30.500 I just
00:41:31.160 practice until
00:41:31.960 I have
00:41:33.420 what's called
00:41:33.960 separation,
00:41:35.300 meaning that
00:41:35.760 my limbs
00:41:36.240 can operate
00:41:36.840 separately and
00:41:37.620 I can put
00:41:38.260 them on
00:41:38.560 automatic and
00:41:39.880 then I can
00:41:40.260 think of
00:41:40.660 other things.
00:41:41.820 Like thinking
00:41:42.600 about the
00:41:42.980 weather,
00:41:43.760 while all
00:41:44.200 five of my
00:41:44.740 limbs are
00:41:45.380 playing like
00:41:46.760 a beat.
00:41:48.320 It's amazing.
00:41:49.160 you wouldn't
00:41:50.660 think it's
00:41:51.040 even possible.
00:41:53.660 But watching
00:41:54.400 that happen
00:41:54.820 is just
00:41:55.160 really just
00:41:55.640 fascinating.
00:41:56.240 You can
00:41:56.400 feel your
00:41:56.780 brain getting
00:41:57.240 rewired.
00:42:00.280 Yeah,
00:42:00.820 five of
00:42:01.200 my limbs
00:42:01.640 because my
00:42:02.540 shoulder's
00:42:03.020 involved.
00:42:03.680 That's my
00:42:03.960 fifth limb.
00:42:05.020 The video
00:42:05.460 is great.
00:42:05.980 How did I
00:42:06.360 solve it?
00:42:06.840 Well,
00:42:06.980 I'm using
00:42:07.280 just a
00:42:07.840 cheap
00:42:08.380 lavalier
00:42:09.300 clip-on
00:42:09.940 for YouTube,
00:42:11.300 but I'm
00:42:11.800 going through
00:42:12.240 a Rodecaster
00:42:13.220 Pro.
00:42:14.000 It's a
00:42:14.420 mixer.
00:42:15.520 So I think
00:42:15.980 that does a
00:42:16.420 little bit
00:42:16.760 of something
00:42:17.220 to it.
00:42:17.560 On the
00:42:18.500 Locals platform,
00:42:19.300 I started
00:42:19.660 just going
00:42:20.140 directly in
00:42:20.720 because I've
00:42:21.180 got a new
00:42:22.100 iPad and
00:42:23.820 I don't know
00:42:24.360 if the
00:42:25.380 processor is
00:42:25.980 better or
00:42:26.340 something.
00:42:27.200 But the
00:42:27.620 audio seems
00:42:28.280 to work
00:42:28.580 great on
00:42:29.120 Locals as
00:42:30.940 well.
00:42:39.220 What do
00:42:39.900 you know
00:42:40.480 you cannot
00:42:41.260 share?
00:42:43.060 Oh,
00:42:43.560 that's such a
00:42:44.140 tantalizing
00:42:44.660 question.
00:42:45.560 That would
00:42:46.020 be cheating
00:42:46.460 because if
00:42:47.360 I told
00:42:47.680 you what
00:42:48.040 I know
00:42:48.560 but I
00:42:49.060 can't
00:42:49.400 share,
00:42:50.940 that would
00:42:51.600 sort of
00:42:51.900 obligate me
00:42:52.480 to tell
00:42:52.820 you.
00:42:53.540 Because you
00:42:53.900 hate to
00:42:54.480 bring up
00:42:54.840 something you
00:42:55.300 know.
00:42:56.020 It would
00:42:56.200 be like
00:42:56.520 if I
00:42:57.140 told you,
00:42:58.020 well,
00:42:58.360 I know
00:42:59.040 about the
00:42:59.460 UFOs,
00:43:00.460 but I
00:43:01.260 can't tell
00:43:01.800 you.
00:43:02.520 How much
00:43:02.880 would you
00:43:03.140 hate that?
00:43:04.880 By the way,
00:43:05.480 I don't know
00:43:05.960 about the
00:43:06.320 UFOs.
00:43:07.140 I mean,
00:43:07.800 I have an
00:43:08.280 opinion that
00:43:10.000 they're not
00:43:10.440 real,
00:43:11.060 but I don't
00:43:11.760 know.
00:43:12.040 give us
00:43:21.160 a little
00:43:21.460 chunk of
00:43:21.920 cheese.
00:43:23.900 Well,
00:43:24.480 let me
00:43:24.660 say this.
00:43:26.180 I will
00:43:26.720 tell you
00:43:27.100 that there
00:43:29.100 will probably
00:43:30.120 be additional
00:43:31.580 real stories
00:43:32.840 of the
00:43:33.880 Trump
00:43:34.840 era.
00:43:37.100 So I
00:43:38.200 can tell
00:43:38.580 you that
00:43:38.980 my version
00:43:39.860 of what
00:43:40.500 happened for
00:43:41.140 the last
00:43:41.460 five years
00:43:42.120 does not
00:43:43.040 match yours.
00:43:45.000 And that
00:43:45.420 there would
00:43:46.020 be some
00:43:46.420 number of
00:43:46.920 people who
00:43:47.540 are,
00:43:48.380 let's say,
00:43:49.040 further behind
00:43:50.160 the curtain,
00:43:51.380 you know,
00:43:51.660 even than I
00:43:52.260 am,
00:43:52.880 who would
00:43:53.140 have yet
00:43:53.580 other
00:43:54.140 versions.
00:43:55.600 And I
00:43:57.080 think where
00:43:57.500 they differ
00:43:58.000 is knowing
00:43:59.160 what mattered.
00:44:01.100 Because there
00:44:01.780 are lots of
00:44:02.180 ways you can
00:44:02.620 look into
00:44:03.140 that house.
00:44:04.340 You know,
00:44:04.460 you can look
00:44:04.820 into the
00:44:05.160 house through
00:44:05.520 all kinds
00:44:05.860 of different
00:44:06.200 windows and
00:44:06.780 doors.
00:44:07.860 But not
00:44:08.960 everything
00:44:09.360 matters.
00:44:10.040 and there
00:44:11.360 are versions
00:44:11.960 of what
00:44:12.480 happened in
00:44:13.760 which a
00:44:14.420 different set
00:44:15.180 of variables
00:44:15.760 are believed
00:44:17.160 to be the
00:44:17.640 ones that
00:44:18.000 mattered.
00:44:19.460 So I'll
00:44:20.160 just say
00:44:20.500 that.
00:44:21.020 But it's
00:44:21.360 more than
00:44:21.720 one view.
00:44:22.540 I'm not
00:44:22.980 saying that
00:44:23.360 there's one
00:44:23.980 magical view
00:44:24.840 and that's
00:44:25.440 mine and
00:44:25.880 that's the
00:44:26.180 one you
00:44:26.400 would adopt.
00:44:29.680 All right,
00:44:30.420 I'll be a
00:44:31.560 dick and I'll
00:44:32.060 tell you,
00:44:32.620 this is pretty
00:44:34.140 dickish,
00:44:35.120 but I'll
00:44:35.460 tell you one
00:44:35.920 thing,
00:44:36.200 that you
00:44:38.780 don't have
00:44:39.260 any idea
00:44:39.960 what topics
00:44:42.100 I've influenced
00:44:42.980 directly.
00:44:44.360 And I'm
00:44:44.660 talking about
00:44:45.120 really directly.
00:44:46.620 And you
00:44:47.580 probably never
00:44:48.140 will.
00:44:49.460 Because by
00:44:50.260 their nature,
00:44:52.320 you know,
00:44:52.720 there are things
00:44:53.520 that I either
00:44:54.280 would never be
00:44:54.960 able to talk
00:44:55.420 about or not
00:44:56.500 for a long
00:44:57.000 time.
00:44:58.000 But there's a
00:45:00.100 whole lot going
00:45:00.780 on that I
00:45:02.380 had some
00:45:03.100 kind of
00:45:03.800 substantial
00:45:04.820 impact on
00:45:06.540 that you'll
00:45:07.140 just never
00:45:07.520 hear about.
00:45:09.500 And so
00:45:11.640 much so that
00:45:12.340 if I tell
00:45:12.860 anybody privately,
00:45:14.320 you know,
00:45:14.480 because privately
00:45:15.020 there's nothing
00:45:15.940 I wouldn't talk
00:45:16.580 about.
00:45:16.820 None of it
00:45:17.160 is state
00:45:17.500 secrets,
00:45:18.040 by the way.
00:45:18.700 I'm not
00:45:19.220 talking about
00:45:19.700 any kind
00:45:20.080 of like,
00:45:20.840 you know,
00:45:21.180 deep,
00:45:22.360 like shocking
00:45:23.160 secrets that
00:45:23.960 would change
00:45:24.620 the nature
00:45:25.020 of reality.
00:45:25.920 I'm just
00:45:26.380 talking about
00:45:26.760 things I
00:45:27.180 know that
00:45:27.680 other people
00:45:28.700 might not
00:45:29.900 know.
00:45:30.120 and it
00:45:34.900 would really
00:45:35.360 change your
00:45:35.980 view of
00:45:36.680 things.
00:45:37.220 But anyway,
00:45:37.600 when I tell
00:45:38.020 people privately,
00:45:38.880 they literally
00:45:39.300 don't believe
00:45:39.800 it.
00:45:41.020 So one of
00:45:41.680 the reasons
00:45:42.020 that I
00:45:42.360 can't tell
00:45:42.840 you,
00:45:43.740 or I can't
00:45:44.300 tell you in
00:45:44.740 public,
00:45:45.460 and I'm not
00:45:45.840 talking about
00:45:46.220 one thing,
00:45:46.940 I'm talking
00:45:47.200 about a
00:45:47.640 collection of
00:45:48.760 things,
00:45:49.260 you know,
00:45:49.400 more like a
00:45:50.620 narrative that's
00:45:51.320 a little different
00:45:51.820 than the one
00:45:52.200 you've seen,
00:45:53.620 it's literally
00:45:54.960 not believable.
00:45:56.900 Actually,
00:45:57.500 literally,
00:45:57.920 not believable.
00:46:01.080 And so it
00:46:01.840 really prevents
00:46:02.380 me from telling
00:46:03.020 it,
00:46:03.360 because it's
00:46:03.920 not believable.
00:46:05.200 It would be
00:46:05.560 like,
00:46:06.740 for example,
00:46:07.940 this is not
00:46:08.860 the case,
00:46:09.380 but it would
00:46:09.940 be like this.
00:46:11.140 It would be
00:46:11.500 like an
00:46:11.900 actual angel
00:46:12.880 came down
00:46:13.620 and talked
00:46:14.140 to me
00:46:14.460 privately,
00:46:15.620 and gave
00:46:16.060 me some
00:46:16.440 secrets,
00:46:17.860 and then I
00:46:18.900 went and
00:46:19.180 said,
00:46:19.400 hey,
00:46:20.160 you're not
00:46:20.680 going to
00:46:20.900 believe this.
00:46:22.320 But an
00:46:22.760 angel,
00:46:23.920 no,
00:46:24.180 no,
00:46:24.280 a real
00:46:24.540 one,
00:46:25.000 a real
00:46:25.360 angel came
00:46:25.840 to me and
00:46:26.700 gave me
00:46:27.040 some secrets,
00:46:27.920 and then
00:46:29.580 you'd say,
00:46:30.020 well,
00:46:30.340 okay,
00:46:30.760 we're done
00:46:31.080 here.
00:46:31.860 I do
00:46:32.320 not believe
00:46:32.920 an angel
00:46:33.460 talked to
00:46:34.000 you.
00:46:34.540 And I'd
00:46:34.740 say,
00:46:34.900 no,
00:46:35.040 no,
00:46:35.180 that's not
00:46:35.660 the important
00:46:36.020 part.
00:46:36.340 Let me
00:46:36.560 tell you
00:46:36.780 the secrets.
00:46:38.300 And you'd
00:46:38.640 be like,
00:46:39.180 maybe keep
00:46:40.600 your secrets,
00:46:41.340 because I
00:46:41.680 don't believe
00:46:42.260 an angel
00:46:42.880 came down to
00:46:44.020 earth and
00:46:44.260 talked to
00:46:44.580 you.
00:46:45.080 And I'd
00:46:45.520 be like,
00:46:45.920 don't get
00:46:46.580 obsessed by
00:46:47.100 that part.
00:46:47.980 I'm just
00:46:48.360 going to
00:46:48.600 tell you
00:46:48.960 what he
00:46:50.000 told me.
00:46:51.020 Like,
00:46:51.440 eh,
00:46:52.120 maybe not.
00:46:54.280 Yeah,
00:46:54.720 I know what
00:46:55.040 you're thinking.
00:46:55.380 All right.
00:46:58.580 So that's
00:46:59.360 all for
00:46:59.660 now.
00:47:00.860 And I
00:47:02.060 will talk
00:47:02.460 to all
00:47:02.880 of you
00:47:03.260 tomorrow.
00:47:05.480 See you
00:47:05.980 then.
