Real Coffee with Scott Adams - Episode 1945 Scott Adams： Ye Goes Full Raelian, Musk Destroys Free Speech, Doctors Are Guessers

00:00:00.000 everybody and welcome to the highlight of civilization and civilization is

00:00:05.960 getting pretty wonky today we're gonna have a good time talking about all the

00:00:09.720 craziness but if you would like to take this experience up to stratospheric

00:00:16.120 levels and I know you would that's kind of people you are all you need is a

00:00:22.080 copper mug or a glass a tank or a chalice or a stein a canteen jug or a flask a

00:00:27.440 vessel of any kind fill it with your favorite liquid I like coffee and join

00:00:32.900 me now for the unparalleled pleasure it's the dopamine hit of the day the thing

00:00:36.620 makes everything better it's called the simultaneous sip it happens now go

00:00:48.200 mmm yeah that'll put you all on the same page well of course we're going to talk

00:00:56.120 about EA but before we do that let's talk about some interesting good news

00:01:03.620 number one scientists have used quantum computing to make a coating for glass

00:01:10.880 that will make it maybe up to 30% more morale what do you call it insulating so

00:01:21.800 it'll reduce your heating and cooling by maybe 30% or at least the window part will

00:01:27.500 be 30% more efficient now they did that because they had quantum computing which I

00:01:34.760 didn't know was commercialized yet but apparently it was now imagine what will

00:01:40.100 happen when the singularity comes now the singularity is when computers are so

00:01:45.680 smart that they can program themselves and become smarter and smarter on their own

00:01:50.480 quantum computing is still just a fast computer that's still just a human telling a computer what

00:01:57.560 to do it just does it fast I don't think we have any risk whatsoever from climate change like not

00:02:05.960 because because this is just a trivial example and this was before the singularity this is when we just have

00:02:14.240 really fast computers and it already made glass 30% better do you know what part of

00:02:20.180 your house is a big risk for insulation it's all the windows doors a little bit

00:02:26.780 but it's mostly windows right so this is like one little tweak just one little tweak

00:02:32.480 that has this enormous implication for for energy usage across the world so just a little bit of good news

00:02:40.700 we'll see if that gets commercialized you know I don't like to laugh at the hardships

00:02:46.640 of other people do we agree that's not the kind of people we are we do not take cheap shots at

00:02:55.260 people who had a bad day and well we don't do that but fortunately the ex executive producer for the

00:03:03.520 modern family tv show danny zucker does not have this limitation and uh while we find it

00:03:10.420 very unseemly in fact it's below us it's below us to insult people who are having a bad day for

00:03:18.420 reasons not their fault and so thank goodness danny zucker is here to do it for us because we're not

00:03:26.080 that kind of people but apparently chris saliza got fired from cnn do you know chris saliza he writes

00:03:33.180 a lot of opinion pieces and they have they have a certain vibe to them here's what danny zucker

00:03:39.540 said about it on a tweet quote how firing christopher saliza may actually help chris saliza

00:03:47.580 muttered a stunned chris saliza to himself over and over again as he approached his parking space

00:03:53.680 one last time i i have reopened that tweet now at least five times just to laugh at again

00:04:05.280 it's so well written you know danny zucker's executive producer of modern family which is

00:04:10.800 in my opinion the best written show of all time so he's you know he's a key person in the best written

00:04:17.340 show of all time so it's not a not an accident that he knew how to write a funny tweet but thank

00:04:23.540 goodness we don't have to be mean chris saliza because danny did it for us um so have you ever

00:04:32.200 spent five minutes on twitter and looked at any doctor's opinions on vaccinations and have you noticed

00:04:38.600 a horrifying pattern that you can find a fully qualified working doctor who says oh you

00:04:47.320 better get those vaccinations because you know it's better for you but you can find other

00:04:53.700 qualified doctors who say no no do not get vaccinations it's clearly bad for you and then

00:04:59.820 you can find other qualified doctors who say whoa wait a minute it might not be so good for you if

00:05:05.240 you're below a certain age but it's probably good for you if you're above a certain age now here's my

00:05:10.920 question whose job is it to stay up to date with medical science whose job is that is it your job

00:05:21.880 is it your job no no is it my job my job no no it isn't no is it the doctor's job to stay up to date

00:05:34.760 on studies yes now can we conclude with no with no doubt whatsoever the doctors cannot do that

00:05:45.280 have we proven that a basic function of the doctor profession is to stay up to date

00:05:53.140 and if staying up to date is something that they can't do and by definition they're not doing it

00:06:01.520 because we can't tell which one's got it right and which one's got it wrong can we if if i look at two

00:06:07.840 doctors and they have two different opinions opposite how do i judge which one is right i don't have those

00:06:14.160 skills so even if some of the doctors are right and presumably some are because they're all over the

00:06:20.360 place how could you possibly tell which ones are right see the problem it's the same problem with

00:06:27.940 the financial industry there are 10 000 stocks ish that you could choose but there are probably a

00:06:35.800 hundred thousand financial advisors what's harder picking a good stock or picking the right financial

00:06:43.060 advisor it's actually easier without the financial advisor because they just add another thing that

00:06:49.060 could go wrong and they charge you for it right now i was having this conversation on twitter just

00:06:55.840 before i came on here about doctors and a guy with a phd in nutrition argued scott scott scott you can't

00:07:05.620 expect the doctors to know how to read new research to which i agree because that's my entire point

00:07:13.420 my point is if doctors were qualified to look at research they would largely have the same opinion

00:07:19.700 wouldn't they they're looking at the same stuff so obviously they're not qualified because otherwise most of

00:07:27.180 them would have the same opinion right so who is qualified well according to this phd

00:07:33.620 there are people who are qualified to look at the science and then they can tell the doctors

00:07:41.480 what to believe do you think such a group exists yes doctors don't have to make the decisions

00:07:48.200 themselves there are professional organizations and experts they can look to to see to see if the study

00:07:54.980 was done well do you believe that there is such a thing as experts not doctors necessarily but experts

00:08:03.800 who can look at advice at research and tell if it's good or not and then inform the doctors do such

00:08:10.840 people exist no of course not of course not because if they existed the doctors would all have the same

00:08:17.480 opinion or largely because they would simply refer to those experts those experts being experts would be all

00:08:24.380 on the same page because that's what they do right but we don't see that we don't see the experts 0.98

00:08:30.880 agreeing we don't see the doctors agreeing so how in the actual fuck are you as a patient supposed to 0.98

00:08:38.680 decide how the actual fuck seriously anybody who tells you that you've made a good decision or made a bad 0.98

00:08:47.200 decision that's just nuts the only thing we know is that we don't know 0.97

00:08:53.360 that's the only thing i know for sure is i don't know if you believe you know

00:08:58.420 why do you know when the experts who do this for a living can't tell i mean collectively they don't

00:09:05.840 have the same opinion nobody knows anything now why can't the experts who are literally experts at

00:09:13.540 knowing whether a study is well designed why can't they do it well why can't you depend on them

00:09:20.160 well number one experts always disagree so it wouldn't matter what the topic is you're going

00:09:26.180 to get experts disagree that's normal number two who do these experts work for yeah you beat me to

00:09:32.700 it the money can you trust an expert who probably needs to get money from the pharma industry one way or

00:09:40.480 the other no of course not that's the least credible source of all of all sources uh so you can't trust

00:09:47.840 them because of money then but how about their expertise suppose you found an expert who actually

00:09:54.740 had expertise and did not have any money interests could you trust them no no because they don't really

00:10:02.260 know what's going on with the study they know what the people who did the study told them that's it

00:10:08.300 they only know what the people who did this study told them but if the people who did this study

00:10:13.260 cheated nobody tells them so how are they going to make a decision without information

00:10:19.100 so anyway we could argue all day about what what is or was is not dangerous but you should know that

00:10:28.020 nobody knows right now don't confuse this with the fact that there's some people say yes and some

00:10:34.920 people say no so one of them is right do we agree with that it's not like there's no right answer

00:10:41.500 somebody's right but how would you know it's unknowable

00:10:46.620 all right we'll get to yay

00:10:51.120 so the wall street journal says that twitter is offering some kind of a deal to advertisers to

00:10:59.580 get them back so they'll get some kind of a huge i think they get if they buy a little advertisement

00:11:05.820 they get a bunch of free advertisement for free do you know why this might not work

00:11:11.580 so in theory if follow the money works and the best advertising deal is on twitter

00:11:20.320 then follow the money right because it's just pure money and if you can get three times the ad value

00:11:30.900 on twitter that you can get somewhere else then the ad the ad the ad people will say oh we better put

00:11:36.820 on twitter right because you get more bang for the buck right so that should work right do you know why it

00:11:44.000 won't work let's see if anybody knows why it won't work because it definitely won't work

00:11:51.680 because advertising isn't real it's never been real did you know that advertising is just something

00:12:03.640 the advertising the ad agency sells to a company so they could be doing something it doesn't sell more

00:12:10.380 product right now the exception would be if you're like pg and e and you're like so massively advertising

00:12:18.220 that you're just like brainwashing people another exception would be if you didn't know a product

00:12:23.420 existed so if you're trying to sell an apple watch and there had never been an apple watch

00:12:28.780 you gotta advertise right but if you're just a brand

00:12:32.860 your chevron or your bp or something do you think their advertising sells them more product

00:12:40.100 no no so that so uh musk

00:12:45.780 musk musk has created a situation which is a little bit sketchy because if the advertising

00:12:54.580 if it becomes clear the advertising doesn't follow the money it might be because getting three times as

00:13:03.220 much advertising won't sell you any more products and then the people who are paying for the advertising

00:13:09.300 are saying i feel like you told me you were going to get three times as many ads for the same money

00:13:14.980 but my sales look exactly the same

00:13:20.660 you see the trouble is

00:13:22.660 that it reveals a little too much about the weakness of advertising as

00:13:26.660 as a useful thing

00:13:28.660 now does um mike lindell sell stuff on fox yes that that would be a case of advertising working for

00:13:38.260 sure because that's something you didn't know existed right

00:13:44.020 and and i do suppose you get some like brand preference over time maybe you start liking your

00:13:48.580 chevron gas more than other gas or something so a little bit but for most of your generic stuff

00:13:54.340 advertising makes no difference do you know how i know that ask me how i know advertising makes no

00:14:01.940 difference because i've been doing it for 30 years i get talked into it all the time so you know

00:14:08.900 like i'm so stupid i'll just always be talked into it when i owned two restaurants we tried every form 0.71

00:14:14.740 of advertising radio print you know special events no impact none just zero impact from advertising 0.96

00:14:25.220 every form and any budget didn't matter and that's actually that's actually pretty common

00:14:32.900 do you think apple needs to advertise

00:14:36.900 well only if they have a new thing otherwise you go to buy a phone and what are you going to do you

00:14:42.420 already know it's two choices basically um yeah tesla doesn't advertise oh yeah tesla doesn't advertise

00:14:55.700 well see that's the other weakness with musk's model he bought a company to sell the thing that he

00:15:02.580 would never buy he's the most famous non-consumer of the thing he's selling that's a little awkward

00:15:10.260 i had never really put that together until just now all right well as you no doubt know yay appeared

00:15:18.580 on alex jones yesterday uh and he said a few things he said a few things and everybody has a few things

00:15:26.660 to say about the few things he said and of course everybody got it wrong and that's why you waited for

00:15:31.380 me you waited for me to sort this out because do you know what everybody's getting this wrong

00:15:38.260 everybody got this wrong i think now you would not be surprised to hear i have a contrarian opinion

00:15:48.100 i don't know that i'm right it's a little too soon to know that but i'm going to put something

00:15:54.260 new out there something you won't see elsewhere all right now i'll work into it slowly all right we're

00:16:00.740 gonna we're gonna we're gonna gradually ease you into it but i'd like to start the conversation with this 0.99

00:16:07.300 notice i i think hitler was a bad guy thoroughly uh fuck his little mustache 1.00

00:16:20.020 fuck the things he did when on office fuck his clothing his eyelashes fuck his dog 1.00

00:16:30.900 fuck his chair fuck his car and the comb they used for his little weird haircut 1.00

00:16:38.100 fuck everything about him thoroughly fuck him everything as somebody pointed out earlier 1.00

00:16:45.220 there is only one redeeming thing about hillary and i hesitate to mention it but of all the people 1.00

00:16:53.140 who say they hate hillary there's only one person who killed them and that was hillary so

00:17:01.380 i don't want to go full kanye or yay but he had that one redeeming thing

00:17:08.580 although i heard a comedian the other day i wish i could give credit because it's a great joke

00:17:14.980 and he said that hitler went through six years of war and he survived that okay but he married

00:17:22.420 ava braun in the bunker and uh after one day of marriage he blew his brains all right

00:17:38.580 you have to do me a favor it's totally uh it's totally inappropriate that i can't name the comedian

00:17:46.260 who has that joke so if one of you know because it was on social media it was going around if you know

00:17:52.260 who said that could you please give him credit in the in the comments because you you shouldn't be able

00:17:57.700 to quote somebody who said something that funny without mentioning their name that's just wrong

00:18:03.620 was it dana gould

00:18:08.980 that might be right was it dana gould

00:18:13.620 i think it might have been i think you're right so let's give him credit anyway he's very funny if

00:18:18.740 it wasn't him he gets some credit anyway all right so yay appears on alex jones and he's wearing a ski

00:18:25.860 mask so so he's you know visually he's impossible to look away because it's not just a ski mask but

00:18:34.260 like a sock over his head or something so his entire face is covered not even his eyes are out

00:18:40.660 now i don't know why but it certainly gets your attention

00:18:43.460 now of course the big takeaway was that yay

00:18:54.020 yay decided he'd say some good things about hitler

00:19:01.940 and and even alex joe's even alex joe's was shocked

00:19:06.820 the look on alex joe's face he's like

00:19:18.420 now that was that was uh awesome entertainment all right now so yay was said he actually uh i think

00:19:28.660 he said he actually liked hitler you know not not for the bad things but he had some good qualities

00:19:35.780 according to k like he built highways and invented a microphone

00:19:47.540 so you know i was pretty anti-hitler until i heard they invented the microphone

00:19:53.140 he invented the microphone he invented the microphone i think he invented roads

00:20:08.260 because there hadn't been any highways until hitler

00:20:10.180 and then uh then yay said something about questioning the holocaust

00:20:25.540 so so that went well and then uh uh

00:20:31.620 uh now yay was explaining that uh the reason he was he was embracing the anti-semite label

00:20:42.260 as he was trying to do what uh the black citizens of this country had done

00:20:49.140 by uh appropriating the n-word in other words instead of letting words hurt him

00:20:55.140 you know like being called an anti-semite so instead of letting words hurt him he's gonna

00:21:00.820 embrace it and own it and amplify it until the words can't hurt him anymore or anybody else i guess

00:21:08.100 now i'm not so sure that's the best strategy

00:21:13.220 but we're going to talk a little bit more and i'll give you my opinion about the whole thing right

00:21:19.380 so you have to hear the details if you haven't heard all the details so yeah so he's now i don't know

00:21:24.980 if he's denying that the holocaust existed in any form or if he had some you know nuanced but uh

00:21:33.220 let's say unwise things to say about the details of it i don't know so who knows what he had to say about that

00:21:40.180 uh and then elon musk suspends him from twitter uh not because he not because yay

00:21:49.220 printed a very uh direct derogatory picture of elon musk in a bathing suit apparently uh but

00:21:58.100 and elon had to clarify that that wasn't the reason that he banned him or suspended him but rather it was

00:22:04.180 for inciting violence and the tweet that incited the violence was um a logo that apparently yay seems

00:22:14.180 to be embracing that appears to be the star of david and then on the interior part is modified to look

00:22:21.060 like a swastika yeah it's a swastika surrounded by the star of david and that so that was hate speech

00:22:29.620 and or no it was inciting violence and so elon musk announced that he had to suspend kanye for that

00:22:38.180 all right so that's one movie yeah you know what's happening in the other movies

00:22:46.660 different stuff completely different stuff now if you didn't know the uh the logo that yay was using

00:22:54.180 that looks like the star david with a swastika in it has been the railian logo for years like decades

00:23:04.260 i guess the railians are a group who believe in space aliens and ufos i guess and some other stuff

00:23:13.860 uh but i don't think they're too involved with anything about nazi or anything anti-semitic are they

00:23:20.340 i'm not i don't think they have any anti-semitic things i think they just have a logo that's

00:23:26.100 unfortunately provocative but correct me on that now here's the thing do you think that yay knew

00:23:35.540 that this logo not only already existed but it was on it was already on twitter apparently the railians

00:23:42.420 have been on twitter since 2017 and i assume their logo has been there i didn't see it but i assume has

00:23:48.740 been now let me tell you what i see all right everybody's got a take on this and we're all

00:23:56.420 guessing so anybody's opinion about what's going on in yay's head is ridiculous wouldn't you agree

00:24:05.620 wouldn't you agree it's sort of ridiculous to speculate what's in his head because whatever's in 0.72

00:24:10.820 there makes yay yay and whatever's in your head made you you and if you could know what was 0.93

00:24:18.660 in his head well you would have been the the richest black man in america for a little while too

00:24:26.820 maybe so we don't know what he's thinking but here's here's what i would dismiss as the least

00:24:33.860 likely explanation the least likely explanation is that it's only mental health it's just it's just

00:24:41.380 mental health i think that's the least likely but definitely it's involved would would you all agree

00:24:48.580 that uh his mental health is part of the story but we don't know what percentage would you agree with

00:24:54.900 that it looks like it could be a lot but we don't know it's hard to know because here's the other

00:25:03.060 possibility the other possibility is that he's just being yay and that he's picking intentionally the

00:25:13.220 single most provocative thing he could do on social media

00:25:19.380 because that's the test that's the test it's the ultimate test of free speech

00:25:26.340 can he say his opinion on on social media well if his opinion incited incited violence

00:25:38.580 would you agree that that would be inappropriate and that you should kick somebody off for inciting

00:25:43.540 violence how many of you would agree that if it's very clear let's say he said let's all get together

00:25:49.700 and pick up guns and go attack some other group you would kick him off on social media for that right

00:25:56.580 if it's clear so in my in my hypothetical everybody would say oh that's clear nobody would argue

00:26:04.260 about in some hypothetical thing so musk says okay this is clearly inciting violence with this logo

00:26:13.300 and maybe maybe with his rhetoric as well but mostly the logo because that's the part that was on twitter

00:26:19.060 and so musk and probably consulted some other people decided that was against twitter's

00:26:25.860 long-established rules about inciting violence and so he kicked him off are you comfortable with that

00:26:33.860 you know it's the end of free speech right it's the end of free speech you couldn't even pretend

00:26:39.620 there's free speech under this condition you know why in in the law and i'd say with terms of service as

00:26:49.380 well there has always been a reasonable person standard do you know what that means it means that you have

00:26:57.220 to make laws and also terms of service with the understanding that there is such a thing as a

00:27:03.780 reasonable person now you could argue whether such people exist but you have to have that standard

00:27:09.780 that any reasonable person would look at this other reasonable person and that all the reasonable

00:27:15.460 people would say yeah that's reasonable right without getting into all the details of all the different

00:27:21.060 things that could ever happen in the world can we all agree that if we all look at it and it looks

00:27:26.660 reasonable we'll we'll just treat it like it was reasonable right now that standard i would say has

00:27:33.380 worked for maybe hundreds of years i'm not sure when it became you know a legal standard in this country but

00:27:40.340 it's a long standard that's worked really well so why not keep using it why not keep using the standard

00:27:46.820 that's worked forever let me tell you why do you know where that standard doesn't work

00:27:55.540 when you're all woke you can't have a reasonable person standard when the environment is wokeness

00:28:03.140 because you know what wokeness is not reasonable it's not it's opinion and so

00:28:10.180 elon musk's opinion that this logo was inciting violence differs from my opinion which one of us are

00:28:18.820 right my opinion is that it did not incite violence very offensive very offensive provocative he may have

00:28:28.260 intended that but did it incite violence well here's the problem at a deeply conceptual level yes

00:28:37.860 right at a conceptual level yes anytime you anytime you identify a group

00:28:46.340 and then you throw some shade at them you are making it easier for someone else

00:28:53.060 to say well everybody's throwing shade at this group i'll bet i could slap this person on the sidewalk

00:28:58.500 and people would cheer me because everybody's saying bad stuff about these people watch i'll just go

00:29:03.300 up to this person just slap them and put it on video and everybody's gonna laugh this will be very

00:29:07.700 viral right so you would agree that putting shade on any group incites violence so by that standard musk is 1.00

00:29:20.820 correct because he puts shade on the jewish community and by definition that makes it easier for somebody else

00:29:29.540 somewhere to abuse them because they think they've got some cover here's the problem

00:29:37.220 it would apply to everything it applies to everything you would have to take everybody

00:29:42.020 off of social media do you know how many times i've said something that threw shade on an identifiable group

00:29:48.980 like every day democrats how many times have i said how many times have i put shade on

00:29:55.140 uh leftists or democrats i put shade on all kinds of people including yay i'm putting shade on musk right 0.98

00:30:03.860 now i'm saying he made a he's got a standard that can't work right twitter is nothing but people

00:30:11.940 throwing shade on people i'm literally calling for uh for an armed attack on the cartels on twitter

00:30:19.700 i'm not just inciting violence i'm trying as hard as i can to create violence

00:30:26.100 but i guess i'm okay why presumably because people think that's good violence

00:30:32.580 right oh that would be the good kind of violence or or i have an argument for it or something so that's

00:30:38.180 okay is it too direct yeah see the problem here is that as soon as you allow that somebody can decide

00:30:46.740 what incites violence and there's no standard for inciting violence because everything looks like it

00:30:52.020 does you have no no free speech that is the end of free speech the only thing you can say on twitter

00:30:59.620 are things that elon musk personally believes will not incite violence you trust that it doesn't matter 0.82

00:31:07.220 if it's elon musk it doesn't matter who the fuck it is it's somebody else's opinion of what will incite 0.71

00:31:12.980 violence you're done with free speech that's it but the important point is the standard did work until 0.98

00:31:20.260 recently that the reasonable person standard was perfectly fine until wokeness made all speech 0.98

00:31:27.380 violent as soon as all speech is violent you can't use that standard anymore and that's what's happening

00:31:32.820 here i believe that musk is essentially trying to guess what other people would have thought was

00:31:40.260 reasonable right he had a guess of what other people would think was reasonable because he's

00:31:47.780 he's doing things for public appearance as well as his own opinion

00:31:53.540 you think he was told to do it in a sense yeah i think there was so much immediate

00:31:59.620 pushback now here's why my take on yay is a little different than the rest is mental illness involved

00:32:07.540 probably probably probably because yay says that himself i mean he's not hiding it right and i think

00:32:14.420 his actions suggest a non-standard personality now non-standard can be good right you know people with

00:32:24.500 mental illness make great art so it's not necessarily a bad thing but here's what i'm going to add

00:32:29.940 i would not rule out the fact that yay is trying to break the system and he might

00:32:40.020 like instead of he's not trying to win the game he's trying to throw uh throw the board up you know

00:32:46.900 what i mean he knows he can't win the game because he didn't make the rules the rules are made by other

00:32:52.900 people and they're you know he doesn't have an advantage there so if he plays the game by its rules

00:32:58.100 he loses but yay is not the person who loses it's not in this it's not in his nature to not think he

00:33:08.020 can succeed so he just takes it to the next step what is the next step next step is you throw the whole

00:33:14.260 board over so he came into twitter with a railian logo that he might have known

00:33:24.500 was not provocative in that context or as provocative he may have tested the limits of 0.98

00:33:30.900 musk's free speech and broken in my opinion he broke elon musk elon musk fucked up 0.99

00:33:38.580 he fucked up and it wasn't because elon musk is dumb because he's not it's not because elon musk is 0.99

00:33:47.220 uninformed because he's not it's not because elon musk has bad intentions because he doesn't it's not 0.99

00:33:54.820 because he doesn't like yay because that doesn't seem to be the case it's because it's an impossible 0.72

00:34:01.220 fucking situation elon musk has chosen a standard that cannot be enforced it cannot be enforced 0.98

00:34:09.140 and yay just broke the whole fucking game because he just proved it he just proved 0.99

00:34:15.780 the free speech is gone and that ladies and gentlemen was exactly what he was fucking trying to do 1.00

00:34:23.780 do now that doesn't mean he wins that doesn't mean yay comes president doesn't mean he goes back to 0.99

00:34:33.940 his old reputation but he had a goal he fucking did it he did it he did it now you can hate him 0.97

00:34:43.780 that's fine i wouldn't i wouldn't argue with you at all you can say he's really anti-semite and that's 0.98

00:34:48.740 the whole story okay i i think he's given you that in other words he's he's walked into your trap

00:34:55.860 and if you'd like to spring the trap i say okay but so does he so does yay yay says spring the trap

00:35:06.100 that's what he says he says god spring it let's let's see how this plays out but he did turn over

00:35:12.260 the board and and the rules just changed and did you think i would be arguing that wokeness makes

00:35:18.740 the reasonable person's standard extinct i didn't think so i didn't think i'd wake up this morning

00:35:24.580 and say that he broke elon musk but he did he did now let's be really careful here because somebody's

00:35:32.900 going to watch this and say scott um supported yay who supports hitler so scott's a nazi blah blah blah 0.96

00:35:44.340 to which i say are we really talking about black yay becoming the leader of the white supremacists 0.94

00:35:54.420 because that's what people are acting like they're acting like the white supremacists are going to rally 0.98

00:35:59.540 around yay and that's our danger because what if everybody listens to yay all the white supremacists

00:36:08.180 and they say yay you're our new leader

00:36:12.900 are we really talking about we want to reduce the risk that the white supremacists will start 1.00

00:36:18.020 following a black man in america i mean the whole thing has become so ridiculous 1.00

00:36:25.460 that yay's point is really being made he's he is making his point and whether you agree with it you hate 0.98

00:36:35.860 him you know i i'm just to say it again i don't approve of any level of anti-semitism period

00:36:45.460 but here's an interesting question if you were to ask yay if white people should be allowed to use

00:36:56.740 the n-word what would he say

00:37:02.500 has anybody ever asked him that because he's basically making the stand that he can say whatever

00:37:09.300 he wants about the jewish community even if it's offensive i mean i feel like that's what he's

00:37:16.500 trying to make the point he's trying to make the point that nobody that free speech extends to where he

00:37:22.020 wants to extend it i guess as odious as that feels but if yay says no you can't use the n-word 1.00

00:37:31.860 but i can say anti-semitic things then he's either crazy or just a fucking asshole 0.99

00:37:39.940 if you ask yay and he says you know what i do think you should be able to use that word in public 1.00

00:37:47.300 then he has a point

00:37:51.460 you can disagree with it you can disagree with it there's plenty of room to disagree

00:37:55.780 but it's not crazy if he's consistent right so i'm only looking for consistency i'm not saying i

00:38:04.340 agree with him i'm just saying is that crazy like crazy would look inconsistent but if he has a

00:38:11.140 consistent point of view where he actually just broke open the conversation about free speech

00:38:17.540 then what i saw on alex jones was 80 performance art the good kind the good kind and 20 percent mental illness

00:38:36.340 and here's what i mean by performance art it's supposed to shock you it's supposed to make you

00:38:42.900 say this couldn't possibly be art this must be something else it's piss jesus do you remember a 0.96

00:38:50.100 piss jesus it was the artist who made a crucifix that was contained in a container of urine yeah piss 0.90

00:38:58.260 christ it was piss christ and everybody said no no that's that's the worst thing in the world and other 0.97

00:39:06.260 people said welcome to art welcome to art it's the worst thing in the world sometimes so is is yay a good

00:39:19.540 guy i don't know is yay right about his uh criticisms of the jewish community i doubt it 0.99

00:39:27.940 i mean it just sounds like he has problems with individuals that he's he's generalized that doesn't

00:39:33.220 like i can't support that um but but did he do a performance piece of art that changed the

00:39:43.380 conversation in a meaningful way in a way that could be positive because that's you know good art makes

00:39:50.340 you angry but maybe there's something good that comes out of it i don't know it looked like performance

00:39:56.260 art to be now if you say but he's also crazy i say yeah i give you that like 20 it but i think he

00:40:05.300 actually moved the needle i don't know but you're those who have been watching me for a long time can

00:40:12.900 you confirm that i've always said the following thing because this is important i've always said

00:40:18.500 said that yay is not somebody who creates art he is someone who is art he lives it he lives art

00:40:29.540 every time he walks outside he is the art right he dresses the art he talks the art he's never not

00:40:35.700 the art there are people who are artists oh i guess i would be one so i'm a perfect example of an artist

00:40:42.020 so to speak who is very different from my art like when when i'm drawing my art i'm an artist and when

00:40:49.460 i'm standing outside i'm just ordinary guy standing outside like i'm not an artist when i leave the house

00:40:56.260 you know what i mean but yay he's an artist all the time he's not the artist who was something else on

00:41:03.540 the alex jones show he just took his art to alex jones and i saw art and i also saw the highest level

00:41:14.740 of art i may have ever experienced does that mean i liked it not exactly because it was odious right

00:41:25.780 but did i recognize it as art yes i did in my opinion that was art and the fact that you hated it

00:41:32.900 doesn't make it not art because you didn't like piss christ either 0.58

00:41:38.580 is cartoonist different from artists well that's another conversation

00:41:42.260 somewhat so can i be very clear on this yay is not trying to make us like him so i don't okay

00:41:52.740 he's not trying to get us to agree that hitler was a good guy he's not trying to do that do you think

00:42:00.420 he was trying to convince you hitler was a good guy no to me it looked like he he said to himself

00:42:07.220 what is the thing i'm least um allowed to say watch me say it and then he did it he found the one thing

00:42:15.780 that he's least allowed to say and then he said it he's the only free person in the country

00:42:21.620 do you know uh the old janice joplin song from the 60s in which he said freedom is just another word

00:42:30.100 for nothing left to lose nothing left to lose that's yay he lost his wife his kids you know custody

00:42:41.540 his reputation his reputation his fortune

00:42:48.580 he has nothing left to lose he's the only free person in the country

00:42:54.500 because he's not in jail and he can say anything he wants anywhere

00:42:59.620 because he's willing to pay the price and the price is extreme and he's still willing to pay it

00:43:04.900 i don't know there's something horrifying about this whole situation of course holocaust denial and

00:43:12.740 any anti-semitic stuff is horrible and has to be disavowed but there's also something happening about

00:43:19.300 free speech there's also something happening about art and those are very big things also at the same time

00:43:28.020 all right um so we're all going to see a different different situation there um

00:43:40.020 i wonder what the railians are doing today

00:43:44.020 it's a tough day for the railians isn't it they just woke up today it's like oh it's another day in my

00:43:50.980 railian life let's see what's happening in the news

00:44:00.100 bad day for the railians all right um now when we're talking about inciting violence um one of the

00:44:09.140 things i'm glad about is that we don't have a culture in which our movies and our video games uh glorify

00:44:16.500 violence isn't that lucky because if if uh any of our video games or movies or tv shows if they glorified

00:44:26.820 or showed a lot of like exciting violence and made it look really cool to kill people um that would be

00:44:34.020 terrible and that should be banned completely because it incites violence doesn't it okay can you argue

00:44:43.540 with me that 100 hours of 100 is a low number can you argue that 10 000 hours of gaming that involves

00:44:51.220 killing people has no impact on the person who did it no impact at all of course it does now whether it does

00:45:01.860 or not whether it does or not wouldn't you agree that reasonable people would probably argue it does

00:45:09.940 so who gets to say who has free speech do the video game companies get to create their art because a video

00:45:18.260 game is art as well do they get to create their art or does elon musk say i think that incited violence

00:45:26.820 so you can't advertise that on twitter who gets to tell them that they can make that game

00:45:32.100 i don't know it looks like it incites violence to me um well on another topic as you know esg

00:45:45.460 is dying on the vine that's the the idea that blackrock and some other financial entities could grade

00:45:52.740 public companies for how well they're doing for the environment and governance and equity and of course

00:46:00.900 all the smart people now from um i think everybody from bill gates to dilbert uh have now debunked esg as

00:46:12.900 a horrible idea because it gets between the business and and the customers and you never want to do that

00:46:19.220 there's there's never a good way to do that but uh now that that seems to be on its uh it's sort of a dead

00:46:25.940 man walking should be should be dead at any moment now uh people said to me scott can you do uh dei next

00:46:34.260 and that's the corporate um programs in which they try to foster diversity equity and inclusion 0.70

00:46:41.940 now i said to myself well i've been out of the workplace so i i didn't personally experience this

00:46:47.140 i need to read up on it how would you like to know what are the key elements

00:46:51.940 of this diversity equity and inclusion well sounds pretty good to me so i'll tell you the things that

00:46:59.860 sound good um so this is just from the internet off of google searches so dei is a policy or practice

00:47:08.340 designed to make people of various backgrounds feel welcome and ensure they have support to perform to

00:47:14.580 the fullest of their abilities in the workplace anybody have a problem with that wouldn't you like

00:47:20.420 everybody in your workplace from various backgrounds to feel welcome and to have the most you know the

00:47:26.020 best chance of doing a good job and to be mentored all good right does anybody have any problems with that

00:47:33.060 no we're all we're all on board with that all right so i don't see any problems so far

00:47:38.180 um and uh the dei team would work towards these full-time strategies really you know incorporated into

00:47:47.700 the processes of the company to make sure that the hiring retention and unbiased recruitment happen

00:47:55.060 so they've got systems that make sure that they're diverse and everybody feels comfortable with the

00:48:00.340 situation any problem with that wouldn't you wouldn't you like all the employees to feel comfortable

00:48:07.060 i would all right how about this uh they formulate policies and nullify old ones

00:48:12.580 um blah blah blah to you know to get to their dei initiatives now here are the types of diversity

00:48:19.540 that they recognize see here's here's the part where you're going to say hey they're not including

00:48:24.820 all the types of diversity or do they or do they so here are the ones that they list cultural diversity of

00:48:31.700 course um racial diversity of course gender of course physical disabilities of course does anybody have a

00:48:40.900 problem with any of those things um being treated as special categories

00:48:49.620 well they also add this last one diversity and interests diversity in interests does that cover

00:48:58.660 everything else because interests and preferences are kind of the same right an interest and a preference

00:49:05.940 um almost the same so uh wouldn't this include uh republicans wouldn't republicans be people who had

00:49:15.220 different interests it should right it should uncover it should cover every everybody who's different now um

00:49:26.580 i don't know if it actually accomplishes that but um all right um and then uh why do some companies

00:49:35.780 fail at it so what are what are the problems with it this is again from the internet there are three

00:49:40.100 reasons three key reasons according to a google search uh failure to explicitly connect the de

00:49:48.340 dei objectives to the corporate mission okay vision and values lack of sustainable support blah blah blah

00:49:56.500 so sometimes it fails because it's not being supported enough it looks like um

00:50:03.940 and let's see 0.70

00:50:07.300 so so what do you think should i kill it because it sounds good to me well where's the problem 0.98

00:50:16.020 why would i kill it because people keep asking me to kill this but i i like i like diversity 0.97

00:50:22.020 why would i kill it don't you think it but don't you think everybody should be comfortable at work 0.67

00:50:31.380 somebody says it's racist what what part of what i read would make it racist because they're not

00:50:37.860 saying make white people uncomfortable they're saying make everybody comfortable who disagrees with that

00:50:44.420 no no i i think you're you're all acting a little bit bigoted here and let me tell you what we should

00:50:52.340 do we should embrace it and amplify it and i'd start first at the places where there's a big problem

00:51:00.180 so i would go um to professional sports first and i'd say to the the warriors golden state warriors

00:51:07.700 they're struggling this year you know they were champions last year struggling a little bit and i'm not

00:51:12.580 positive but i think the problem with the golden state warriors is that their coach steve kerr he's

00:51:19.060 not wrapping uh diversity equity and inclusion into his systems that are managing the team

00:51:27.780 i don't know if you notice but a lot of the people on the warriors they seem to have the same interests

00:51:34.180 same interests they don't seem to include people have different interests

00:51:38.820 so they should and i think that would improve their performance greatly to get those different

00:51:45.060 interests in there now the second i would go for the teachers unions which are largely women and i think

00:51:52.500 that they need to implement some dei so that we can get some more men in there and more more black 0.98

00:51:58.420 teachers and you know more more jewish teachers maybe yeah maybe more of everything that's diverse we

00:52:04.740 should get them in there see if that makes a difference and then the biden administration

00:52:10.260 you know one part of dei and actually one of the most important parts is uh report is measuring and

00:52:18.820 reporting right if a company says oh we're doing dei but you say can you show us your reports and they

00:52:25.540 say we don't have any reports are they really doing dei no they're not no they're not because the

00:52:32.740 reporting and the measuring are just so vital to the whole thing that if you're not measuring and

00:52:37.060 reporting you're not really doing it and that's true of management in general if you're not measuring

00:52:41.620 it you're not managing it so wouldn't you like to see the biden administration's uh report on dei to

00:52:49.060 see how well they're doing i'd like to see if they're doing a good job encouraging the people with

00:52:54.900 different interests to be part of the administration or do you think the government is trying to get

00:53:01.380 people who have similar interests because the government is trying to act similarly like democrats

00:53:07.540 which would be pretty bigoted just because the democrats got elected i don't think that's a good enough

00:53:15.060 reason that they should ignore the interests of the people who didn't get elected

00:53:20.500 so you know if it's good enough for businesses i think it's good enough for teachers unions

00:53:25.860 and professional sports which is business and certainly good enough for the government and

00:53:31.540 i would like to see all of the reports um right now so that we the public can make sure that they

00:53:37.780 are putting the proper amount of emphasis in dei um what do you think wouldn't you like to see a lot

00:53:49.140 more of this dei stuff a lot more now i'd like to see a list of all the different interests because

00:53:57.380 we have a sense of what different ethnicities look like and what different genders look like although

00:54:02.580 it's a little confusing at the moment but wouldn't you like to see the list of the different interests

00:54:07.860 so for example could could uh the teachers union do they have enough people in the teachers union who

00:54:16.580 think that homeschooling is better because homeschooling would be an interest right so the teachers union

00:54:22.980 should be represented with you know a good chunk of people who would prefer homeschool over public

00:54:31.060 school that would be an interest and shouldn't the democrats have uh plenty of people who want

00:54:36.980 strong border security and lower taxes because those are definitely interests so where are those interests

00:54:45.140 and and if dei is good for a business why wouldn't it be good for a government just because the

00:54:53.140 government got elected to pursue some interests over other interests that's still discriminating isn't it

00:55:01.860 because if diversity includes people with different interests you can't just pick one set of

00:55:07.140 interests and say oh these are the good ones well we'll favor these interests that's opposite of

00:55:12.580 dei so i think we should push this dei thing uh everywhere um i'm i'm gonna start uh sanctioning myself

00:55:22.740 because i don't know if you've noticed but there's almost no diversity on this live stream

00:55:27.940 and that's on me that is on me right because i try to be two people but i'm only one

00:55:34.980 i'm only one um i was planning to become non-binary or something just to just to have a little bit more

00:55:45.940 inclusivity but i thought that was a sort of a big sacrifice so no all right so you'd all agree then right

00:55:55.300 more dei should we push this thing to the max and get as much of it as we can and how about blackrock

00:56:05.380 has uh blackrock published its uh dei

00:56:09.940 because i know blackrock thinks that esg is good and it's very sort of there's a lot of uh you know venn diagram

00:56:17.540 on there so don't you think blackrock should uh give us a report on whether blackrock is a bunch of

00:56:26.340 uh white guys do you think blackrock has a lot of white guys working there i don't know i'm just

00:56:35.220 guessing what do you think a bunch of white guys and don't you think that blackrock needs to address 0.99

00:56:42.260 that pretty quickly i think blackrock should be look like the rest of the country they're so 1.00

00:56:48.180 influential and so big that they do have an impact on the country i think just like the government they

00:56:53.780 should not only have a dei program and so should steve kerr at the warriors but they should be reporting

00:57:00.100 on it on a regular basis to the public because it's a public it's a public interest right we don't

00:57:06.980 we don't say hey you you companies you should do dei because it's good for you that's not why we

00:57:14.500 it's good for the public so that's the public that needs to know how you're doing so let us know

00:57:21.220 how you doing on this dei i'll give you a report on mine i'm failing i i've got basically my whole

00:57:27.940 organization is run by a white guy and it's starting to bug me although that white guy does identify as

00:57:35.300 black so okay that softens a little bit um newt gingrich is uh i guess on fox news he was giving

00:57:46.100 people the bad news i've said a version of this but news says it's stronger so it's more provocative

00:57:53.620 and he says the biden administration has been a huge success his first term is like gangbusters

00:58:00.660 basically i agree i agree for what biden wanted to do he did get a lot of stuff he did so i mean it's

00:58:11.220 hard it's hard to hear but things happened it may not be things you like but did the democrats not

00:58:18.980 open up the border yes they did you know they did a lot of things they said they were going to do

00:58:23.220 so you can't ignore that carpe

00:58:32.340 yes um newt also reported i guess he had in his podcast uh dr colin hale uh from the university of

00:58:41.300 houston's drug discovery institute who has uh we think a fentanyl vaccine

00:58:47.540 a vaccine a vaccine that would um negate the effects of fentanyl so if you took fentanyl you

00:58:56.740 you wouldn't get the the high that you hoped now see any problem with that

00:59:05.940 why the hell did it have to be a vaccination of all the things that could have been of all the

00:59:13.540 the ways you could address the fentanyl problem did it have to be a vaccination really really it had

00:59:23.780 to be a vaccination of all the possible things it had to be that

00:59:31.300 i mean if you tell me that reality is not following the path of most entertainment

00:59:37.300 then i can't explain yay and i can't explain this this is clearly following the path of most entertaining

00:59:45.460 story right really the fentanyl story turns into a vaccination story and that's an accident i don't

00:59:54.340 think so clearly something's going on here i think this is scripted in some in some ways

01:00:02.420 but here's your problem what addict who goes and buys fentanyl every day because they really like that

01:00:12.580 fentanyl what addict is going to get vaccinated zero yeah no addict is going to get vaccinated because they

01:00:20.740 want the high they would just have to do some other drug now maybe it would cause them to go get 0.93

01:00:28.660 heroin instead i don't know i don't know what they do instead but it might work it might work for

01:00:37.140 parents making their teens get it that might work so this does have a pretty high uh potential but not

01:00:44.980 for the serious adult addicts but more for a parent telling their teen because the teens accidentally get

01:00:52.660 the fentanyl and if you can make the accidental fentanyl deaths go away that's a big deal it's a really big deal

01:01:02.100 uh it wouldn't i don't think it would block all opioids because they were pretty specific about fentanyl

01:01:08.180 uh so that was still i guess i would still give you plenty of

01:01:12.660 oh then i guess the question is would you have painkiller options if you went to the hospital

01:01:17.940 huh that would be a problem right so they'd have to find some kind of painkiller um beyond fentanyl

01:01:27.860 and even carfentanil would probably be uh probably be affected by the vaccination i think

01:01:36.100 unless carfentanil is different enough because if you have carfentanil then that's all you would need

01:01:43.460 for pain relief right but probably the vaccination affects carfentanil and fentanyl because the only

01:01:51.620 thing i know about them is they have similar names so i'm just guessing there's some similarity there 0.95

01:01:56.660 i don't know did you all know that uh plastic recycling is complete bullshit how many of you knew that

01:02:04.580 you know i knew it was a little bit of but uh palo alto looked into where their plastic goes after 0.94

01:02:15.460 they recycle it and apparently it's sold to a company who doesn't have to tell you what they do with it

01:02:22.180 i'm not making this up palo alto in the middle of the you know the greenest state

01:02:28.340 the greenest people in the greenest state and also palo alto home of smart people you know very smart

01:02:34.980 people palo alto and very green and for years uh they've been having a company take their plastic

01:02:43.140 away and they won't say where

01:02:48.180 because the answer is they they ship it all the asian countries that have low standards and they dump it

01:02:53.380 there it's literally just being dumped in asia and or africa too i guess and then it gets into the

01:03:00.260 water system and then it kills us all so it turns out that the worst thing we've ever done is recycling

01:03:07.380 plastic do you know how many hours of my life i've spent recycling plastic all the waste of time and

01:03:16.260 not just a waste of time it made things worse because if i'd thrown it in the landfill

01:03:21.540 i guess that at least it's in the landfill and it's less likely to get into the water supply

01:03:27.860 but if it goes to laos or something it's going to end up in the ocean so 0.63

01:03:34.900 the whole thing was bullshit now let me ask you in the past few years have we discovered that

01:03:43.540 anything we thought was real was really real is it my imagination or is literally everything fake 0.98

01:03:51.540 like every organization every drug i heard somebody else tell a version of this story but i'll tell you

01:03:58.740 my version again if you haven't heard it in the past in the past two months on two occasions i've talked to

01:04:06.180 doctors in my own you know doctor group uh and i've and they've recommended meds for various things and in

01:04:17.140 both cases i said this directly no i'm not going to take those meds because i don't believe in medical

01:04:24.740 science i said that to two different doctors i said i'm not going to take those meds because i don't

01:04:32.580 believe in medical science i think it's all fake do you know what both doctors said to me

01:04:37.940 no pushback just just absorb that no pushback totally agreed they actually agreed now they didn't say it

01:04:50.900 directly but the the context was no pushback if that's your opinion as a doctor i don't have an argument

01:05:00.100 against it can you believe that actual doctors cannot give me an argument for the meds that are

01:05:10.100 routinely prescribed because if you actually push them on it and i i said directly that it looks like

01:05:17.540 astrology to me it doesn't look like there's any science backing the recommendations and neither doctor

01:05:23.540 pushed back on that i just think about that do you think that would have happened five years ago do you

01:05:29.860 think five years ago i could have said to my doctor you know i don't believe in medical science because

01:05:35.060 i think the studies are all here's here's how i think that would have gone i think it would look like

01:05:40.740 this you know there are a lot of smart people who do these studies

01:05:50.580 it is not smart to ignore medical science right don't you think that conversation five years ago would 1.00

01:05:58.980 have been you idiot you absolute moron how could you be so dumb that you would ignore 1.00

01:06:07.780 the best medical science that we have but in 2022 i can say it directly i believe your science is made up 1.00

01:06:16.420 so i'm not going to take those pills and they will look you right in the eye and say okay next topic

01:06:21.780 i mean it's just so mind-boggling that we've reached a point where everybody understands that

01:06:32.180 everything is a lie all of it everything the government says everything a company says everything

01:06:40.340 pundits say it seems to me it's just all a lie nothing was real everything we thought was real was 1.00

01:06:47.780 bullshit all of it yeah china russia all of it's just all bullshit 1.00

01:06:57.460 this is a good comment even though it's an insult to me mb says doctors know how to deal with narcissists 1.00

01:07:07.060 i'm not going to push back against that comment

01:07:09.460 i'll do what the doctors do i will not push back on that comment you you may you may accept that for

01:07:16.900 what it is that's not a bad comment i have to give you credit for that

01:07:23.620 you might be right all right gotcha all right well that is the uh conclusion of my

01:07:40.260 live stream the best thing you've ever seen today wait till tomorrow it's gonna be even better wow

01:07:45.380 um so

01:07:51.780 what do you think

01:07:56.420 did i sell you on the idea that uh yay is

01:08:02.180 is performance art

01:08:07.700 some yeses some noes

01:08:08.900 now do you think none of it is performance art do you think it's all mental illness

01:08:18.980 yeah did i sell you on the point

01:08:22.900 that incitement of violence cannot be our standard when we're in the the woke era would you buy that

01:08:29.860 i got some more yeses on that again yeah i think so now i don't know i don't know what the standard

01:08:40.500 would be because we're sort of without a standard we're uncharted territory but i think i think uh yay

01:08:47.460 pushed us into uncharted territory and i think that's what performance art does if you do it right your

01:08:54.500 performance art pushes your brain where your brain had never been and then you have to find your way

01:08:59.780 back that's what he did he put us in uncharted territory and we have to find our way back

01:09:06.260 that's art that is art

01:09:11.540 all right that's all for now youtube i'm going to talk to the locals people a little bit more

01:09:16.660 and i'll see you tomorrow
