Real Coffee with Scott Adams - Episode 2500 CWSA 06⧸09⧸24

00:00:00.000 solvable problems on four devices and 15 applications already this morning all

00:00:08.820 unsolvable and they all end at the same time but despite all that there's gonna

00:00:15.180 be something like a show that happens once I close my blinds and get my

00:00:21.180 lighting right yep I got a brick for a computer I got a brick good morning

00:00:45.240 everybody and welcome to the highlight of human civilization it's not looking so

00:00:50.500 good at the moment but I think it's gonna get better all the time and if you'd

00:00:56.080 like to take your experience up to levels that nobody can even understand with

00:01:00.400 their tiny smooth human brains all you need is a gupper a micro glass a tanker 1.00

00:01:05.200 Chelsea Stein the canteen drink a flask a vessel of any kind fill it with your

00:01:09.320 favorite liquid I like coffee and join me now for the unparalleled pleasure the

00:01:14.620 dopamine the other day the thing that makes everything better it's called the

00:01:18.100 simultaneous sip and it happens now

00:01:23.500 ah that's some good stuff good stuff right there well I've got a theme I've got

00:01:34.780 the most annoying technical setup of all time I'm looking at myself twice except

00:01:40.660 they're not running at the same speed so so I've got me in real time over here but

00:01:46.540 me delayed over there so I'm watching Scott Galloway on one and Scott Adams on the

00:01:52.360 other anyway but enough about me so here's the story the former Israeli

00:01:58.960 defense minister Lieberman he says Iran is planning a nuclear holocaust for the

00:02:04.660 Jewish state in the next two years it's gonna be a war of extermination he says 0.94

00:02:09.820 we're in the midst of an Iranian extermination program has anybody used that word

00:02:15.640 recently for the situation in Gaza and Israel in general extermination well that is a key 0.99

00:02:27.760 concept in my new book which is God's debris plus the religion war plus a brand new short story

00:02:35.140 um you will you're gonna be somewhat blown away when you when you read the middle book that's in the

00:02:42.800 trilogy ish book the religion war because it's literally built around the plot of an extermination

00:02:51.520 plan so I haven't really seen that in the real world but I predicted it 20 years ago and here we are

00:02:59.480 there we're actually using the words extermination as like a literal thing that people are worried

00:03:05.240 might happen all right the book is doing great by the way if you haven't if you haven't ordered

00:03:10.860 your copy I think there might still be that glitch that says it's not available the hardcover is not

00:03:16.160 available to December but that's not real you go ahead and order it if you get that message it's not

00:03:22.440 real it will be corrected um we looked into the source of the problem on Amazon why does it say

00:03:31.820 December when it's available now and uh the answer we got back from the publisher is uh you know

00:03:39.780 sometimes things happen it might take a while we're in the midst of the greatest incompetence crisis

00:03:46.220 of all time have you tried to do anything recently you can't do anything nothing works

00:03:54.100 well the Greenland ice sheet is at risk say the climate scientists um and you know there's a story

00:04:03.660 about they're measuring it again and blah blah blah Greenland ice sheet and if it melts we're all dead

00:04:09.920 and blah blah blah blah blah I've come to the decision that if there's one thing I don't trust in the

00:04:18.280 news is anything about ice that's my new rule if my government or my experts try to tell me anything that

00:04:27.680 they that they know about ice I'm just gonna say well I don't think you do know that no I think the world

00:04:34.760 is full of ice and people have different data on whether it's even increasing or decreasing

00:04:39.920 we're not even sure if it's going up or down and you're gonna tell me oh I know uh I've got some

00:04:45.960 microbes here that might slow down the you know that that's the story there's some kind of bacteria

00:04:50.680 or microbes or some damn thing that they think can slow down the melting ice and I say first of all

00:04:58.360 we have no idea what would really happen if it melted we don't know if it is melting we don't know if 0.87

00:05:03.780 some other place would get more ice to compensate uh if that's even a thing but

00:05:09.860 I've just decided I'm not going to worry about ice anymore I feel it feels like very much like

00:05:16.380 hole in the ozone you know just made up stuff that I have so little trust in anything that involves any

00:05:26.240 of our experts let's see if I can close this and reopen it that

00:05:32.300 I just don't know what to think about ice but my my choice will be to not believe it

00:05:40.780 all right uh in Atlanta they've got some big problems with their water mains they've got this

00:05:47.440 uh old system as many of the cities do and apparently had several different major water breaks

00:05:53.940 and some people are saying that the cities are now so old a lot of the infrastructure is 50 to 100

00:06:00.140 years old and it's going to take you know massive fixing but um I think this is just more evidence

00:06:06.900 of we should build new cities does it really make sense to replace the water infrastructure in an

00:06:15.960 existing city just build a new city you know I realize we're gonna have to do it obviously but

00:06:22.000 every time I see a story like this I just say new city just just start new fixing all this stuff

00:06:29.560 that's completely broken you know here's the here's the situation let's say you did a great job of

00:06:35.760 fixing the water supply in Atlanta when you're done you still have to live in the city I mean if that's

00:06:42.660 your thing and work there how about not living and working in the city let's figure something else

00:06:49.480 out I figure they have to fix it too but run away um here's another uh just amazing piece of science

00:06:59.140 science um just to renew your faith in science because a lot of you are like I'm not sure I trust the

00:07:05.040 experts after the pandemic but here let me let me tell you the experts are doing some good work too

00:07:10.940 so neuroscientists have uh figured out that uh if you're trying to convince somebody of something

00:07:18.700 such as politics a negative emotion like fear is more persuasive okay they did a scientific study

00:07:30.940 to find if people being afraid will change their actions was there even one person on the planet earth

00:07:41.760 who is not already aware that if you're afraid you're going to act pretty much immediately

00:07:48.080 does that did anybody not know that raise your hand if you didn't know that fear is a major motivator 0.97

00:07:57.280 in the world didn't know and then it gets dumber if you can get any dumber than that hey we discovered 0.81

00:08:04.720 that fear matters uh they said that the second biggest mover of people's opinions was the macroeconomic 0.88

00:08:14.000 situation yes that's completely different from fear isn't it right the the notion that maybe the economy

00:08:22.240 would plunge you into desperate starvation and cannibalism they're calling that different from the

00:08:29.680 worrying about something that scares you no the economy is only fear we're afraid it's going to

00:08:38.320 disappear we're afraid of inflation taking all our money it's not two topics it's one topic when people

00:08:46.160 are afraid of things they act including voting so let's add that to you could have asked scott and save

00:08:54.560 some money but in this case you could have asked literally any adult do you think this fear thing

00:09:00.640 really makes a difference uh here's one uh again you know i want you to renew your faith in science

00:09:10.320 there's a new study that's that says that uh exercise can increase your sex drive huh well i didn't see

00:09:19.760 that coming it's almost like i'm starting to think that exercise is good for people

00:09:27.840 has anybody picked up on that yet it's like science is starting to close in on the idea that

00:09:35.120 exercise and maybe even eating right and i don't know i'm just going to guess sleeping getting enough

00:09:40.960 sleep is it possible that those things are good for us well thank god we've got some experts looking into

00:09:47.360 this yes yes it turns out that if you exercise it can make you horny it can also increase your

00:09:54.320 endorphins and your dopamine and your serotonin and your testosterone let me simplify do you know what

00:10:00.720 makes people horny good health did they not know that and exercising is good for your health

00:10:11.440 so they hadn't quite connected the dots yet the scientists the experts huh we know that good health

00:10:22.400 definitely makes you horny and we know that exercise causes good health i wonder i wonder could we find

00:10:31.120 out a link between exercise and your libido yes yes you could have asked me just ask me next time 1.00

00:10:40.560 or ask any adult who apparently is not a fucking idiot who's an expert 0.99

00:10:48.400 unnecessary science here's one that's actually interesting this one actually might be useful 0.99

00:10:56.720 some scientists use what they call pink noise which is somehow they could monitor the the electrical

00:11:03.840 signals in your brain and then they would create some soft uh hissing noise like static or an ocean wave

00:11:12.400 that would match the rhythms of your own natural brain rhythms redundant sentence

00:11:20.480 but you know what i mean and why would they do that well they tested and found out that if you did that

00:11:25.760 you could double people's memory you could double it yeah in a in a test of did you remember this did you

00:11:33.680 remember that they doubled now there's also um thoughts that might have some other benefits like maybe

00:11:40.960 be putting you to sleep and stuff but what does this remind you of they matched the rhythms in your

00:11:47.920 brain does that sound like anything you've heard of they match the natural rhythm of your brain

00:11:54.800 it's pacing and leading it's basically anytime you match anybody's bodily anything you become more

00:12:02.480 influential and you can program their brain so the sound might actually be the user interface for your brain

00:12:08.960 that they might be able to find the rhythm that matches your brain and it's just going to unlock

00:12:16.640 it you're going to be able to program it any way you want now i don't think they figured that out yet

00:12:22.000 they just figured out it's good for your memory but oh my god they might be on the verge of mechanical

00:12:29.440 hypnosis meaning they would just match one bodily thing for you your brain that probably is the most

00:12:35.760 influential part of the your body they think it match and then once they matched it they're just

00:12:41.600 going to slip in suggestions do you know why i think people's memory doubled here's a provocative

00:12:49.760 speculative hypothesis again redundant i'm all about the redundancies today

00:12:58.160 i believe

00:13:01.280 that what's happening is that people became more suggestible

00:13:06.560 and they knew they were being tested on their memory

00:13:11.760 i think you might have been able to suggest them into doubling their memory

00:13:16.080 do you know how i would test that i would test that by having people who are

00:13:21.200 easily hypnotizable as a control group because right now they're controlling against you know the baseline of

00:13:28.800 not doing it i guess but if you really want to find out what the mechanism is you want to control

00:13:34.000 against the baseline of suggestion because people who are being tested on their memory

00:13:39.680 clearly know they're being tested on their memory i don't know how you could not know it

00:13:44.720 so so it could be that what the machine did was match their match them and put them in a suggestible

00:13:52.400 mode and then they just said we're going to test your memory and they thought well they're not going to test

00:13:57.360 making my memory worse so they must be testing to see if it's better so maybe it is so i do think you

00:14:06.240 could literally suggest people have a better memory i think that's the thing you need to test it

00:14:12.560 i saw a post a long thread by david roberts on x and he went to a car dealership and he says y'all i just

00:14:23.680 got back from a car dealership holy shit i thought quote maybe my stereotypes around dated maybe it's not 0.63

00:14:31.120 so bad anymore and then he says it's dot dot dot so much worse i couldn't believe it and then he goes 0.55

00:14:39.280 on ranting about um he kept asking questions that they couldn't answer here are some questions they

00:14:46.160 couldn't answer what options does it have and how much does it cost when is it available nothing

00:14:54.320 they couldn't answer any question about the vehicle and and instead of saying i don't know

00:15:00.480 they had to leave and go talk to somebody and they would be gone for a long time

00:15:04.400 now my theory is that the whole uh dealership process of being gone for a long time you've

00:15:12.160 all experienced this you go in they say oh yeah i don't know if i can sell it to you for that i better

00:15:18.800 talk to my manager now you all know that they're not talking to their manager right they might be in

00:15:24.640 the manager's office but that's not why they're going there they're going there to um to wear you down

00:15:34.720 the the goal of the dealer is hypnosis they're they're trying to hypnotize you and the longer

00:15:41.520 they keep you there the more control they have over you because you're going to get hungry and tired

00:15:45.760 and you're going to want that car and finally you're going to say all right i just can't i can't be

00:15:50.400 here another eight hours okay yes yes give me the car so every time they do it you should call them out

00:15:59.120 or do what i do i bring a laptop and when they say oh i gotta go talk to my boss i go great i got some

00:16:05.840 work to do anyway and even if they indicate they're only going to be gone for a minute you take out your

00:16:11.280 laptop you start some real work and then you do what you are going to do anyway while they're

00:16:17.520 fucking with you and when they come back they see you're happily working on your laptop they'll see 0.96

00:16:22.560 their trick didn't work because they're trying to make you really really unhappy that you're sitting 1.00

00:16:26.960 there doing nothing so don't do nothing set up a little uh office for yourself get yourself a nice

00:16:34.880 beverage sit there with your laptop out and just say yeah take your time i got all day

00:16:43.680 now what i actually recommend is you don't ever negotiate for a car but you know the another the other

00:16:48.480 scam and i hate to tell you so many of you fell for it how many of you have fell for the fleet

00:16:55.520 pricing scam or alternate alternately i bought it online from some kind of entity that gets a good deal

00:17:04.800 and then you don't negotiate but you got it online so they've already negotiated for you let's say costco

00:17:09.680 for example or carmax or there are a bunch of more you can buy online and no negotiating so so that's good

00:17:17.600 right because you don't have to worry about the price right and dealerships have something called a

00:17:24.080 fleet manager and i remember one time i was so smart oh was i smart i said i'm not going to go to

00:17:31.840 the regular manager i'm going to go to the fleet manager because i know he's got goals too and i'll

00:17:37.440 say well i'm not really a fleet but if you could just sell me the car at the same price that you sell

00:17:42.800 to the fleet you know a big company that's buying lots of cars if you can give me that price no

00:17:48.400 negotiating cash deal done it'll be the quickest sale you ever had and it'll be at a price you're

00:17:55.440 happy with because it's your own fleet price and then the fleet guy says you know i think i can make

00:18:01.840 that work and you're like yes i am i'm like a genius wait till i tell everybody about this i get the

00:18:09.040 greatest price i get the fleet price the people have negotiated it down already and it's fast and

00:18:16.000 i get rid of all that bs of waiting and they give you the price and you drive away and you spend way

00:18:23.040 more than you would have if you spent eight hours negotiating because the negotiated price you know

00:18:29.120 they start with the sticker price that nobody pays and then if you negotiated you could get you know

00:18:35.440 quite a bit off of that if you go in for the fleet price they're going to give you a price that's

00:18:41.760 between the sticker price that nobody pays so you shouldn't even be looking at it in the first place

00:18:47.920 and higher than what you could have certainly negotiated if you'd stuck it out

00:18:53.200 so taking the fleet price is accepting the screwing that you didn't have to accept but you go home

00:18:59.920 feeling that you won it's the cleverest trick so if you buy online somewhere and you were to compare

00:19:06.560 your online price to somebody bought exactly the same car but they negotiated all day who do you think

00:19:12.880 is going to pay an extra thousand dollars it's probably at least a thousand dollars that you just

00:19:18.720 left on the table by avoiding the uh negotiating how many of you didn't know that how many of you are

00:19:27.920 saying oh shoot that's exactly what i did i didn't realize i wasted a thousand dollars you didn't

00:19:34.400 waste it you spend a thousand dollars not to deal with the terrible terrible sales so i believe that

00:19:41.440 tesla doesn't do any of that i think they just have one price and therefore i'm really leaning toward

00:19:48.880 buying it only for that reason to me that's the tipping point if you can't get somebody to sell you

00:19:55.200 something and by the way i added my own story uh that people doubted all right my own story is

00:20:01.920 i went to my local toyota dealer and said i'd like to buy a truck i had a pretty good idea what i wanted

00:20:09.040 features and color you can't do it there's no mechanism for going in and buying the truck you want

00:20:15.840 now when i say that you say come on that obviously that's a that's a little bit of hyperbole right

00:20:21.120 there it's a truck selling place obviously other people have trucks scott i see them all over the

00:20:28.880 place so obviously you can go to a dealer you can buy a truck can you can you have you tried it

00:20:38.000 recently go in why don't you go to the dealership do you know what's on the lot nothing except a few

00:20:46.000 things that nobody would want but then you say but scott you just order the truck you just order it

00:20:53.280 they don't have that there's no ordering process i thought there would be i thought that's because

00:20:59.280 i've done that with the ford for example but but toyota said no there's no way to configure it and order

00:21:05.280 it online what so how do people get a truck because well the dealerships you know get an allocation

00:21:13.120 every month you know so depending on how many we've sold before they'll tell us how many we get

00:21:18.880 and i say great put me in line for that here's what i want they go oh it doesn't work that way

00:21:24.880 i go what the part where i get what i want he goes yeah we don't have any process for that

00:21:30.320 i go what the hell is your process well a process is that they make whatever they want 0.53

00:21:35.680 and they're all different models and different colors and then they tell you it's going to ship to you

00:21:39.920 and they go really okay well why don't you just i'll see what's in the pipeline and if there's

00:21:47.520 anything that's kind of close to what i wanted maybe i'll settle and then they go okay here's the

00:21:52.960 pipeline i go all right how about this one oh that one's already taken so are the rest of them

00:22:01.440 that was the process the process was you can't buy it in person because it's not there

00:22:07.280 you can't order it online because they don't have that service and you can't get one in the pipeline

00:22:12.560 because as soon as they're available the first person who calls buys it do you know why the first

00:22:16.960 person who calls buys it because there's no other way to buy a truck so you tell me that that's a

00:22:23.280 process in which i can buy a truck because i don't have that kind of patience or lock basically the

00:22:29.200 process is like calling into a radio station and trying to be the 20th caller that's the process

00:22:36.240 right so yes you can call into the radio station and be the 20th caller but really really can you

00:22:43.840 no one person can call in and be that 20th caller the rest of you you don't get to be the 20th caller

00:22:51.360 and you don't get to buy the red tacoma because somebody else ordered that before

00:22:56.000 you even knew it was available no toyota doesn't sell trucks i mean not in any way that you can

00:24:04.720 play responsibly all right here's another science uh sildenafil viagra if you will um improves brain

00:24:14.400 brain blood flow and could help to prevent dementia so they they did this study and they found that

00:24:21.760 gives your brain a boner basically um so you get much more blood flow to the brain it's basically gives 0.52

00:24:29.280 your brain a boner it's it's the same thing it's doing to your junk um it lowers your blood pressure 0.85

00:24:35.680 and uh could uh prevent dementia 0.99

00:24:43.280 yep um i'm gonna add this to the list of you could have asked scott do you know why i already knew this

00:24:53.440 because it's well known that it lowers your blood pressure

00:24:55.840 do you know what lowering your blood pressure is good for your brain your health everything

00:25:05.200 how can it not work if it lowers your blood pressure and there are no side effects that anybody's

00:25:11.520 figured out you just could have asked me scott do you think this would be good for your general health

00:25:19.280 and your brain in the long run well i know for sure it lowers blood pressure so yes don't do the study

00:25:28.640 so what's that three three scientific studies you literally could have just asked me i would have told

00:25:34.480 you all right how about uh new york is passing some legislation that would ban what they call

00:25:42.240 addictive social media algorithms for kids addictive social media algorithms what would be

00:25:49.200 the definition of addictive well the definition is something like they show you things that they

00:25:58.080 think you'd want to see that's actually what it is so the algorithm shows you things that they've

00:26:04.560 decided based on who you are and your activities that you would want to see more of something

00:26:11.200 than something else so the new york wants to make that illegal 0.99

00:26:20.160 i'm a little confused

00:26:23.360 why would you just make that illegal when you there's no way you could possibly enforce it and

00:26:27.760 i'm sure it'll die in court why wouldn't you just wouldn't it make more sense to just say

00:26:32.640 children can't have social media because the whole point of social media is looking at what you want

00:26:38.400 if they change the algorithm so you can't see things you want

00:26:41.120 why would anybody even use it just say you can't use it there there's plenty of evidence the kids

00:26:50.080 should not be let's say under 16 at the least should not be using smartphones and should not be on social media

00:26:56.400 why would you pick the one thing that can't possibly work which is coming up with what is an addictive algorithm

00:27:03.920 like there's any chance that's going to stand up in court it's a it's an indefinable phrase

00:27:09.360 if the algorithm means giving the user something that you think they might like

00:27:15.600 that would just be every user interface calling it addictive is there's just no way that standard

00:27:22.320 could possibly hold up but you could certainly do a standard of you're not allowed on social media

00:27:28.880 or it's illegal for you to have a phone and by the way there is no way for parents to handle this on

00:27:35.520 their own and every time i hear some parents like oh you must be a bad parent why don't you just deny 0.76

00:27:42.720 your 14 year old a smartphone grow the fuck up it's 2024 you're not no parent is going to deny their 0.95

00:27:50.960 kid a smartphone unless they want to make them a cripple social cripple that's the problem but if you 0.95

00:27:58.080 you took away everybody's smartphone and you said you just can't have them under the age of 16

00:28:02.960 jonathan uh hate height however you pronounce it uh suggest that and i agree with it definitely

00:28:11.040 they even let let kids take phones to school you're just not allowed to take it out of your pocket

00:28:17.520 which means you just have it behind the book it's crazy that that's legal just insane anyway

00:28:25.280 um so the theme today will be the dogs not barking and our hypnotizable leaders

00:28:31.440 there's a story today that i don't know what to make of it quite yet there's a some ngo which is a

00:28:37.680 non-government organization funded by somebody in this case funded by the united states at least partially

00:28:46.160 uh somebody there who was trained by the united states allegedly in how to do stuff uh has put

00:28:53.440 together a list of americans who were against the ukrainian war or the funding of it i suppose would be

00:29:00.880 the way to say it and uh they put together this list that includes uh trump elon musk david sacks

00:29:07.280 vivek ramaswamy jd vance i think there's like a few hundred like a bunch of people now who is on the 0.73

00:29:16.400 list basically the smartest americans so the fucking ukrainians decided let's put together a list of you 0.78

00:29:25.360 know the problem people now some people are calling it an enemies list and thinking that it's gone way too 0.95

00:29:32.320 far that you're going to make a list of enemies to which i say they say it's not an enemies list it's

00:29:38.640 more like who do you need to influence or you should be aware of what the others are saying that sort of

00:29:43.040 thing so i'm not sure it has that much i don't know that it has that much impact on the real world

00:29:50.640 because if you had anything to do with the united states you already knew that these famous characters

00:29:55.280 had these opinions you don't really need somebody to put them on a list now if it goes deeper

00:30:02.160 apparently i'm not on the list but if it goes deeper into just big accounts that complain about

00:30:07.200 ukraine well then maybe somebody could learn something but what exactly are they going to do

00:30:12.320 troll them harder like i don't know really how you would operationalize it so everything about it is

00:30:18.720 creepy and bad and i don't like it to happen but on the other hand it's hard to game out whether it

00:30:24.000 makes a difference um but the first thing i saw when i saw who was on the list i said okay trump

00:30:32.400 elon musk david sacks vivek jd vance i thought to myself how do i get on that list

00:30:41.680 how much have i ever wanted to be on a list more than this seriously i have a chance of being on the

00:30:48.560 same list for any reason for any reason as musk sacks rama swami and vance yes thank you so you

00:30:57.760 know i posted please put me on the list because i can't think of a better list to be on and also

00:31:04.400 fuck everybody right i'll have any opinion i want so you can put me on that list 0.91

00:31:10.080 yeah do you think it's going to make it more dangerous for me probably no put me on the list 0.99

00:31:17.920 um and i think they fucked up because they made a list of the smartest americans and put them all 0.92

00:31:22.880 in one place and now people know who they should pay attention to i would like a full copy of the 0.95

00:31:27.600 list so i know who to follow on social media that should be your response your response is give me the

00:31:33.760 list so i can follow them so i i looked around and for some reason it's just not really obvious where

00:31:40.800 to find the full list even though i tried so if anybody has a full list that includes their um

00:31:46.880 their handle for the x platform please post it in a easy way to cut and paste don't do an image

00:31:54.400 do it in text if if you have that option so i could just copy and paste and i'll i'll follow the top 20.

00:32:01.440 all right so yeah anybody anybody that the ngos don't like um i'm gonna follow 1.00

00:32:10.400 so here's uh the dog not barking about the ngos 0.98

00:32:16.160 is it my imagination or do we have a shadow government

00:32:21.600 uh somebody's suggesting i'm not on the list because i registered as a democrat

00:32:27.920 that might be true it might be i doubt it but it might be

00:32:32.960 anyway so we have all these ngos and fake fact checking organizations and and stuff and and also

00:32:40.640 lobbyists if you were to combine the effect of ngos and lobbyists none of whom are elected

00:32:49.440 aren't they actually running the country i feel like the ngos are the you know the tail wagging the 1.00

00:32:54.800 dong so to speak and here's what's missing i feel like the people who understand what's happening in

00:33:02.560 the world know you know the mike bends kind of people they know that these ngos are effectively 0.99

00:33:08.560 you know causing wars and running the country and running up our debt and causing all the bad things

00:33:14.880 and one of the biggest ngo funders is alexander soros

00:33:18.000 and he's still not being interviewed and and after making all this you know i've made quite a

00:33:24.720 bit of noise about why isn't he on the news every day if the news is saying he's destroying our country

00:33:32.000 by funding things that are really really bad for the country such as open borders and you know more

00:33:37.520 racism etc if that's happening and that's real if that's real you should be on the news every day

00:33:44.880 or at the very least the news should say we tried again and he wouldn't he wouldn't respond

00:33:51.120 it's so missing it's just so obviously missing from the conversation that the only reason i can 0.99

00:33:58.320 think that he's not on the news every day is that it's what you think he's a moron i think 0.90

00:34:04.320 he actually can't be trusted to talk in public based on a brief clip i saw he was he looked like 0.97

00:34:10.640 he had sort of a biden level of ability lower actually um so that story just baffles me that

00:34:19.040 that's not a top story every single day now meanwhile joe biden continues his uh embarrassment tour

00:34:26.480 i believe his he's going to try to embarrass america uh individually one country at a time

00:34:34.800 you know there was some thought he would try to embarrass us with all the countries simultaneously

00:34:39.600 but he's picked out some countries and now he's in france so he's really working on the uh making

00:34:45.200 america look like we're pathetic and i noticed that when he walks you know he's he's doing the

00:34:52.560 confused walk thing again and i gave him a name for his walk and it's this optimist past his prime 0.84

00:35:03.040 because he walks like a robot but maybe an early model you know one that needs to be replaced it's like

00:35:15.040 optimist past his prime yeah quite proud of that dad joke all right here's a scary thing uh chat gpt4

00:35:26.560 uh apparently uh hacked 53 percent of the systems that tried to hack and the way it did it was having

00:35:34.800 one agent that controlled a bunch of other agents that were also ai and the other ais worked as like

00:35:41.520 sub teams and then the one agent coordinated the work and when they organized it that way it became

00:35:47.040 sort of a super hacker great great great so now we have ai that can basically break into oh just about

00:35:56.480 any secure system but can you join me in a little bit of appreciation for the people who do our election

00:36:03.920 systems because even though ai obviously can just slice through most security protocols isn't it lucky

00:36:11.360 that that of all of our systems getting hacked i mean remember when we thought russia was in all the 0.99

00:36:17.920 ukraine systems recently we heard that uh you know our probably china is already in all of our

00:36:25.280 infrastructure systems you know the most secure places you can imagine but they're already in

00:36:32.640 thank god nobody's got into our election systems am i right yeah standing ovation for the election system

00:36:40.560 people who you know are the best of the best because when you get your uh your degree in computer

00:36:47.360 engineering and you're thinking where do i want to work well suckers want to work at google and apple 0.76

00:36:55.200 with their big high pay and their their their benefits and their the stock options all that stuff

00:37:03.280 no if you're the best of the best in technology you say to yourself how can i work on the elections

00:37:11.200 yeah yeah because the best of the best goes into the election security field wouldn't you

00:37:18.480 i mean just think about it think how sexy that sounds you want to get laid don't say you work for

00:37:24.800 google or apple i mean they're all right but it's not going to get you laid but if you say yeah i work on

00:37:30.800 election security uh did i say election security yeah basically that's the you know panties will be flying 0.74

00:37:39.440 off at that point yeah you probably you couldn't even avoid sex if you said you're working on

00:37:45.280 security for the elections so that's the one thing we can be sure of is that we're getting the best of

00:37:51.120 the best on the election systems and that's why we can be a hundred percent sure they've never been hacked

00:37:59.120 even when all of our other systems seem to be hacked quite easily but no

00:38:03.360 no no the best of the best are protecting us on election security

00:38:12.080 all right uh now politico's are is reporting that trump is attacking coven vaccine mandates

00:38:19.120 uh and public health experts fear it's just the start

00:38:23.120 all right so we've got trump on one side and then the other side would be

00:38:28.640 public health experts i remember when that didn't used to be a tie

00:38:37.520 do you remember when you said well i'm certainly going to be backing the public health experts

00:38:43.680 like i'm not going to be backing like a politician like well that's dumb i mean maybe i'd back him if

00:38:51.920 it was a political question but i'm not going to back a politician against the public health experts

00:38:59.600 well unless you check the track record

00:39:04.400 how many of you be all of the political x or all of the health experts for the last five years

00:39:10.240 my track record be all of the health experts i mean not everyone probably but the average

00:39:21.840 i don't bet you would say the same thing right there were so many sketchy things during the pandemic

00:39:26.800 that that every ordinary person just said i'm not so sure about that maybe not

00:39:34.000 so yes politico this doesn't sound just the way it used to it used to be that this would be wow trump 0.99

00:39:43.600 is such an idiot for doing something that the public health experts don't think is a good idea 0.99

00:39:50.720 no at this point if i get a prescription from a doctor or a prescription from donald trump 1.00

00:39:59.040 it would be a tie i don't like it i don't like it but look at the track record right and i'm not saying

00:40:09.360 you should be your doctor obviously but if you were to actually look at the track record the non-experts 1.00

00:40:15.360 beat the experts so what are you going to do next time what are you going to do next time literally

00:40:22.880 well i know what i'm going to do i'm going to be really careful about trusting the experts

00:40:28.400 remember i told you that all the smart people are on the same side well dana white on politics at the 0.99

00:40:35.920 moment so dana white was talking about trump getting the big reception at the ufc fight and um

00:40:44.080 dana white says you know it's it's not even so much political it's just common sense

00:40:49.760 and that itself is sort of a political statement because of course it's political

00:40:55.280 but the other thing he didn't say that i think is the bigger story trump got a standing ovation at the

00:41:02.880 ufc not because it's political not because it's common sense it's because it was men

00:41:13.200 see it's so that's always the big story and we we try to ignore it because saying it out loud would

00:41:18.240 change everything no if you take trump into a any large auditorium filled with men unless the event

00:41:28.800 was the democratic national convention trump is going to bring down the house because men 0.97

00:41:36.160 this was a male event it wasn't a political event and it wasn't a common sense event and it wasn't even

00:41:42.160 the trump event this was men that was the story if you're talking about it any other way you're missing

00:41:48.880 the whole story it was men 0.75

00:41:53.520 all right and so i'm doubling down and tripling down on my statement that at this point there

00:41:59.040 literally are no smart people who are also um for biden there are smart people with tds

00:42:07.920 and there are smart people who are easily hypnotizable which is a theme that i'm getting to

00:42:16.880 all right um i keep seeing stories of people who used to vote democrat or independent but now say

00:42:24.960 things are so bad that i'm going to back trump you've all seen those stories have every one of you

00:42:30.320 seen let's say more than one if you're following the news um seems like every time there's a focus

00:42:36.560 group you get one of those now the focus groups will often all say that they support biden it's

00:42:44.720 of course because you know half the country seems to so you see you see these two things you see people

00:42:50.080 who switched from democrat to even if they're still democrats they're going to vote for trump and then you

00:42:56.320 see plenty of people who like biden what's missing is there a dog not barking in that information

00:43:04.560 something like really glaringly jumping out obvious that just doesn't get mentioned yes there's not a 0.91

00:43:12.160 fucking person in the world who recently recently changed from trump to biden if that happened even 0.92

00:43:21.040 once it would be all over tv you don't think msnbc would be running every day all right we found some 0.99

00:43:26.640 voters uh they used to like trump they they were solid republicans until until that felony conviction

00:43:35.280 now homo now can't vote for somebody with a felony conviction 0.99

00:43:41.200 do you know what the weakest part of the republicans is

00:43:44.000 is that something like a quarter of republicans will put principle above winning

00:43:54.080 that's their weak spot so that felony thing uh amazed me that some significant part of the republicans

00:44:02.320 would say you know what you know i'm not going to vote for him on principle but then you're going to

00:44:09.280 lose and you're going to lose the country and maybe die and everybody will be basically way worse off 0.95

00:44:15.200 and it's an existential risk to have a guy with no brain as your president and we can plainly see it

00:44:21.280 and republicans will say i raised my kids to believe that character matters

00:44:28.000 that's it i'm not going to vote for a felon if i'm raising my kids to think the character matters 0.99

00:44:37.040 to which i say why did you teach your kids to be losers 0.96

00:44:43.280 you should give me five minutes with your kids maybe i can fix that 0.99

00:44:46.400 because you just turned your kids into losers if you're trying to win on principle that's called losing

00:44:53.120 that's just losing now win first and then you've got some freedom to do some things on principle

00:45:00.560 from a point of power but you don't lose first losing first is not a strategy and it's not noble

00:45:09.760 and i don't have any respect for it whatsoever i understand that because the people who are drawn to

00:45:15.360 the republican party are pretty principle-based it's a strong principle-based group and by the way that

00:45:22.880 works most of the time it's a real good way to be and most of the time it doesn't make any difference

00:45:29.760 like most of the time you're applying it to i don't know i'm not going to let my kid join the boy scouts

00:45:35.040 because there's something i didn't like right now that's a principle that you know you're losing in

00:45:40.320 the sense that your kid doesn't get to be in the boy scouts but you're not losing much not losing much

00:45:46.400 in that case yes yeah let's push the principle you know because maybe in the long term that can that

00:45:51.840 can move the problem but if you're looking at an existential threat and you're watching people

00:45:57.200 who look like you and think like you and act like you being put in in jail you're watching 0.50

00:46:03.520 you're watching your ability to buy groceries drop to zero no first you win first win

00:46:12.640 and then you got some flexibility but i don't have any respect before we have to lose on principle

00:46:20.000 i have no respect for that it's not strategically smart and it doesn't allow you to win on principle 0.89

00:46:25.520 in the long run either it's just another way to fucking lose so the democrats know that republicans will 0.88

00:46:33.200 reliably be principle based even to their own destruction 0.86

00:46:39.920 anyway supreme court has a bunch of interesting cases that could change everything so i feel like

00:46:46.800 almost everything we're saying about everything doesn't matter until we hear the supreme court now

00:46:52.080 it wasn't quite up to date on what things are ready to judge but axios did and i'm going to give

00:46:58.720 axios some credit here at what looked like a completely unbiased article about what the supreme

00:47:04.640 court is working on and i kept looking for the bias because it's axios i think it was actually a straight

00:47:10.480 article and the reason i'm calling it out is well didn't expect that but here are some of the things

00:47:17.840 presidential immunity there are two federal cases they're looking at and trump's handling of the

00:47:25.680 classified documents could turn on that decision so what if it makes the whole mar-a-lago thing just

00:47:32.320 go away that's a pretty big event pretty big event in both ways because people will say we got to pack

00:47:39.200 that court you know it's even more important that we get rid of trump because the court keeps agreeing with

00:47:45.680 them um but that's a big deal and it looks like the court might give trump what they call a partial victory

00:47:55.120 so we don't know what that really means um then there's the the january 6 obstruction case

00:48:01.040 so they're looking at the question of whether uh obstruction as defined in the law the law that

00:48:06.800 was used against the january sixers uh apparently the obstruction was drawn up for a more specific

00:48:14.080 situation than that in other words it was for the enron sorbanes oxley act um

00:48:22.720 oh the case this case centered around using the enron inspired sorbanes oxley act

00:48:28.720 uh and some people say it wasn't really created for that purpose

00:48:32.960 so extending that to the january 6 protest is too far i think it's too far to me it looks like the

00:48:39.920 supreme court's gonna rule that believe it or not that the january 6ers didn't break any laws

00:48:49.040 i think it's gonna rule that everybody in jail didn't break a law unless unless they did some

00:48:53.760 violence or some damage but if they were just protesting the worst law was trespassing and that's

00:49:00.560 not a jailable offense usually so that's gigantic i'm seeing some agreement from my legal minds all

00:49:12.080 right um then there's the abortion pill every one of these is just fire like every every thing it looks 0.82

00:49:20.080 like you could change the election so there's a abortion pill uh mifepristone and the question is

00:49:27.440 whether it can be legal because it gives you uh let's see what is it'll decide whether the fda

00:49:35.120 um has the authority to allow it i guess to get it without prescription maybe is that what it is

00:49:42.800 because nearly two-thirds of all abortions are performed just by taking the pill that pill the abortion 0.62

00:49:49.280 pill um so anyway no matter which way this goes it's going to be an issue suppose worst case scenario

00:50:01.120 for the republicans is that they get their way then they get a second way to lose on principle

00:50:08.800 good job republicans you found another way to lose an unlosable election great why don't

00:50:15.760 why don't you find a way to make abortion the top topic and make it look like the republicans are the 0.98

00:50:23.440 only thing that prevent you from getting this pill could you be dumber now obviously it's not the 0.96

00:50:32.480 republican party who's pushing these supreme court cases but whoever is pushing them is almost certainly 0.97

00:50:38.320 republican and unless it's an op where somebody's pretending to be a republican just so they can get 0.96

00:50:46.240 this issue there this is just the dumbest thing i've ever seen republicans do you couldn't wait a year 0.94

00:50:55.760 you couldn't wait a year until it doesn't matter so much to the election process but if the republicans 0.99

00:51:02.160 lose and if they lose because this anti-abortion looking thing uh happens god did you deserve it you

00:51:13.040 so deserve to lose if this is your gotta have my principles you just deserve to lose i mean i'd hate

00:51:22.960 to see it but god you're just begging to lose uh and then there's another one about emergency abortion care

00:51:31.120 same thing did it have to did it have to be a month before you know a few months before the election

00:51:36.640 really crazy all right all right what else we got going on here tons going on it's all fun

00:51:46.960 and then one on gun rights whether the bump stock ban was too far so great so now the uh the left that

00:51:55.760 is most animated by abortion and guns will have an abortion maybe two abortion decisions and gun decision

00:52:05.040 that they're not going to like

00:52:09.120 let's talk about general milley

00:52:12.320 so as you know general milley was the uh military guy in charge during the january 6th situation he was

00:52:19.040 in charge in general not just uh over that but he was a head of the military and uh julie kelly is

00:52:26.720 reporting that uh during congressional testimonies uh the legal counsel for the dc national guard

00:52:35.600 noted that milley's alleged fears of a quote reich tag moment after the election

00:52:39.920 election so we have direct reporting and even using a quote that milley believed that trump was

00:52:48.880 going to go full hitler and burn down the reich tag maybe that's a symbolic statement you know uh not

00:52:55.920 literally but that he would try to stay in power by creating some kind of chaos

00:53:01.360 in other words

00:53:06.800 general milley the top guy in the military

00:53:12.480 is easily hypnotizable meaning that he's as tds now i would like to suggest a standard for our leaders

00:53:22.240 that i think we've never tested before but in the military especially you should do a test to see how

00:53:29.360 hypnotizable you are that can actually be determined and if this guy actually believed

00:53:36.720 that trump was going to do a you know hitler takeover like a you know military take over the 0.63

00:53:42.480 country you become a dictator there's something wrong with you that in other words you've fallen for your

00:53:49.200 own your own party's um propaganda so i don't i don't believe that nancy pelosi believes the things she's

00:53:58.480 saying you know about democracy ending i don't i don't think uh carville believes what he's saying

00:54:06.880 about your constitution gonna be taken away we will never get to vote again you do you be taking your

00:54:12.880 democracy away i don't think he believes that you know why because nancy pelosi and carville

00:54:21.280 look to me like people who know enough about the real world that they're not hypnotizable

00:54:27.520 they look like they're just operating in a mechanical world where if you do this it works if you do this

00:54:32.560 other thing it doesn't work that's what it looks like to me so it looks like they're both trying to

00:54:36.800 do what works and that is not brainwashed but milley was making policy decisions based on a hallucination

00:54:47.680 and we know that i mean we know from reporting we know that he actually thought he was living in a

00:54:55.520 1939 moment now that's actually mental illness and or too hypnotizable so about 20 of the public

00:55:05.040 can be easily convinced of just anything and you can test for that now you'd have to test to figure

00:55:13.440 out the best way to test for it but hypnotists do it all the time that's what a stage magician does

00:55:18.160 stage hypnotist a stage hypnotist looks at the crowd gives them a suggestion and then can tell with

00:55:25.440 pretty good accuracy maybe 80 accuracy which people are going to be good subjects if they bring them up

00:55:31.440 on stage here's how easy the test is this is just one form of it the hypnotist on stage says everybody

00:55:38.800 put your hands together like you're praying the audience all does it because they're playing along

00:55:44.480 he goes now your hands are stuck together they can't move apart they're stuck together like magnets

00:55:50.720 pull them apart then he looks at the audience and everybody in the audience succeeds they all pull it

00:55:57.600 apart so you say to yourself well how do you know who's more hypnotizable they all pulled it apart

00:56:03.360 you know there's nobody who couldn't pull their hand apart you look for the small hesitation right now if

00:56:10.400 you're only listening you can't see this but the person who's not hypnotizable just goes like this

00:56:15.520 the person who is hypnotizable goes like this there's just a little bit of delay and the hypnotist

00:56:23.040 is trained to say ah there's one with about 80 accuracy and then they bring them up and they give

00:56:30.160 them another little test just something quick and if that doesn't work well then it was a false positive

00:56:36.160 and they send them back to their seat and they keep the ones that are kind of past two tests that's

00:56:42.400 how it's done now if you can do it that easily as a stage hypnotist there's probably some scientific

00:56:49.680 version of that and you might be able to do it with sensors you know basically see if you can get

00:56:56.320 somebody to respond to certain images there's probably a way to do it but i can't think of anything

00:57:02.080 scarier than thinking that the head of our military believed he was in a 1939 fight with hillary just

00:57:09.360 hold that in your mind the head of the military i'm not making this up believed he was in a 1939 moment

00:57:20.720 just just think about that and it was because he couldn't see through the 0.93

00:57:26.240 bullshit from his own propaganda media on the left his own i'm assuming he's leaning democrat 0.89

00:57:36.080 isn't isn't that dangerous i absolutely think you need to check these guys for susceptibility 0.99

00:57:43.280 yeah you really need to check all right um stephen mcintyre who does the uh he's at the at climate audit

00:57:54.000 account usually he's talking about climate but um he has a quite analytical mind and so when he wades

00:58:01.280 into politics it's worth a read and he's talking about in 2019 and 2020 there were a lot the when

00:58:08.720 we're talking about struck and page and the fbi and all their messages we saw their messages that seem

00:58:15.120 to be on point to whatever they were talking about but what i didn't realize is there's a whole bunch of

00:58:20.080 redactions and that what we saw was highly curated now you say to yourself well that's okay because a

00:58:27.280 lot of it was probably just personal stuff and you know maybe secrets off point and stuff like that but

00:58:32.720 we're not really in that place where we ever trust any kind of a um political editing of somebody's words

00:58:42.080 you just assume there's something there you wanted to say but it gets worse and this is something that

00:58:47.760 uh mcintyre noticed is that the period that seems especially missing is about the time that the uh

00:58:56.480 that there was some conversation with the steel sub uh uh the sub what they call them sub source

00:59:04.960 so in other words when the conversation was was steel's document good or was the steel document coming

00:59:13.120 from a source that you should have known was a fake source so during the time when the fake source

00:59:20.080 should have been discussed by these same cats those messages there aren't any there's no reference to

00:59:28.080 now does that mean there's a smoking gun that they they knew it was fake and that maybe they mentioned it

00:59:35.600 but those messages just got edited well i don't know we don't know enough to say that what we do know

00:59:41.360 is the thing we'd most like to know is not available so so we're we're tired we're we're at the place

00:59:50.560 where we don't trust any accidents well that's a coincidence well maybe there are no coincidences yeah

01:00:00.320 so uh meanwhile uh james clapper was asked uh by some news person i think it might have been on fox maybe

01:00:11.360 but he was asked um if he wanted to apologize for saying that laptop from hell the hunter badden laptop

01:00:18.320 was possibly russian disinformation what do you think clapper said when asked if he's thinking of

01:00:24.000 apologizing for one of the worst acts we've seen in america do you think you want to apologize

01:00:30.560 one word no why would he apologize for something that he did intentionally and worked exactly the way

01:00:37.760 he wanted it to and in his view saved the country why would he apologize no he didn't make a mistake

01:00:48.640 he made an op it worked it was kind of brilliant in the sense that it was pretty convincing and it

01:00:56.560 probably moved the election it probably did move the election so here's somebody who probably overthrew the

01:01:03.920 country and asked us to apologize no because that's what i was trying to do i added that last part

01:01:14.320 so that ladies and gentlemen is my prepared comments for today um and i'm going to double down and quadruple

01:01:24.080 down on the fact that the the smartest people you see on the left who are still supporting biden

01:01:30.000 are clearly suffering from tds now it could be that maybe that's my own bias speaking but when i look at

01:01:40.560 bill maher just take an example he's got all kinds of logical sounding opinions about everything except

01:01:47.760 trump as soon as he talks about trump it's either missing information you know like like he thought that

01:01:54.240 police were killed on january 6th for a while i think he believed the drinking bleach thing i think for a

01:02:00.480 while he believed the fine people hoax it's just a huge huge i wouldn't call the blind spot it's a tds

01:02:10.320 but i also wonder if you could test those same people and find out if they're easily hypnotizable

01:02:15.200 uh let me give you somebody on the right who i can tell you for sure is easily hypnotizable tucker

01:02:24.000 carlson i guarantee he's in the 20 percent i guarantee it and here's how i can tell

01:02:34.400 as smart as he is he's super smart as good as his content is and it's super good he's one of the

01:02:42.320 you know great treasures of the country at the moment in my opinion he does have a preference

01:02:48.480 for believing in you know some of the wild stuff you know demons and aliens and whatnot and that is

01:02:56.800 really a strong indication of somebody being in the 20 percent who are super hypnotizable everybody's

01:03:02.640 hypnotizable but 20 can actually live in a world that doesn't exist that you can create a you can create

01:03:10.240 a world in their mind that's just not here so tucker has told us a number of times in a number of

01:03:17.440 different ways that when it comes to sort of this fun conspiracies theory stuff not the things that

01:03:23.200 necessarily matter because he says it directly you know that that his his belief in some of the wilder

01:03:30.720 things don't have a connection to anything you're going to do about it in the real world so it's really

01:03:35.760 a luxury belief or i'll call it an entertainment belief there are things that i believe just for

01:03:43.120 entertainment for example if you put a gun to my head and said did aliens really help build the 0.76

01:03:50.080 play pyramids if you get this wrong i'm going to blow your brains out i would say no probably not 0.79

01:03:58.800 but if you don't have a gun to my head and there's no real world implication i kind of like believing 0.87

01:04:06.240 the aliens helped do you see the point there are some things we believe just for fun it's just we

01:04:12.960 don't always you know tell ourselves that's why we believe it but when it comes down to things that are

01:04:18.160 going to kill me completely different standard yeah all all that imaginary stuff goes right away

01:04:26.240 immediately and i go right to what matters i would argue that the people operating on a republican

01:04:34.320 principle over winning are operating under hypnosis because it doesn't make sense on a logical basis and

01:04:43.040 it's sort of obvious to the rest of us so i would think that they're essentially brainwashed into

01:04:49.920 their ethical beliefs which works most of the time you know most of the time you want to brainwash

01:04:55.920 children at least into having a you know good character ethical framework it's what makes the

01:05:01.280 the country work um so you don't want to get rid of that it's just that you have to understand what it is

01:05:08.160 i hear that general mark milley is a decent family man nobody said he wasn't yeah you know i don't have

01:05:18.400 any trouble giving you that uh that seems like a milley supporter is mark milley a decent family man

01:05:24.880 could be could be and and if he is if that's true i i would certainly praise that but that doesn't mean

01:05:33.600 he's not susceptible to hypnosis he's clearly susceptible uh let's let's take another example

01:05:41.840 sam harris i think everybody can see that sam harris is logical except when it comes to trump

01:05:49.200 and then there's just something going on that looks personal um and then you're gonna ask me about mark

01:05:54.880 cuban mark cuban fascinates me because whatever is going on with mark cuban doesn't look like

01:06:02.160 because he has some you know mental problem it doesn't look like he has tds he just doesn't

01:06:09.680 he doesn't act like it here's my best guess of what he was doing with dei and maybe also with

01:06:17.040 biden but to a lesser extent i think he was steel manning the arguments meaning trying to give the best

01:06:24.640 version of the arguments that the democrats should be making argument in favor of dei argument in favor of

01:06:31.840 biden and and i'm gonna give god really the the useful comment there was somebody said he's bar jewish

01:06:45.520 okay i don't think that's relevant to anything i'm gonna say

01:06:51.200 it doesn't involve every single topic all right here's my best guess i start with the assumption that

01:06:58.000 there's no way that uh mark cuban is dumb because he's been operating way above smart for decades

01:07:05.760 right in front of us so can we eliminate he's not smart can we just drop that because that's such a 0.91

01:07:13.360 low iq take that he's not smart he's really smart about a lot of things right you might disagree with him

01:07:21.120 but when he does the dei support and the biden support uh i think he might you know want that team to

01:07:30.560 win but i feel like what he's doing is trying to present the strongest version of their best arguments

01:07:38.480 because he can do it better than they can do it and he did actually um and here's why

01:07:44.400 i think he's testing their own arguments but he's doing it in a way that most supports the people that

01:07:53.760 he loves and cares about and hires so imagine if you were working for cuban and you were uh you know one

01:08:02.400 of the people in the uh categories that benefits from dei and you saw your ceo out there fighting for it

01:08:10.800 and you knew it was good and you liked it and you knew it was good for people like you

01:08:14.640 well you'd be pretty loyal to that that person now you might say but what about the white people who

01:08:19.920 hate it well you can reliably reliably predict that the white people will just put up with it 1.00

01:08:25.840 because they always do so what would be the best play for murray cuban if he wanted his employees to 0.93

01:08:32.400 be loyal and have a good reputation exactly what he's doing is that crazy nope

01:08:38.800 nope nope i i think that steel manning their argument and winning would be a gigantic win

01:08:47.120 meaning that if he if he gave the better version of the argument and actually

01:08:51.120 you made the day and people even people who disagreed up to that point go you know

01:08:55.600 wow that was a good argument i hadn't really thought of it that way so that's one possibility

01:09:00.080 the other possibility is that he does his mark cuban best to say dei is good and he fails completely

01:09:10.000 while we watch that's also good do you get that if he sells his program because it's a good idea and a

01:09:20.480 good argument sells people that's good because he sold a good thing if it fails that's good too

01:09:30.080 because it means the best argument on their side which he is actually equipped to give the best

01:09:34.720 argument on their side didn't work and then it's not his fault he he can show the flaws

01:09:43.440 without being on the other side of it so i'll give you two hypotheses and you tell me which one makes

01:09:51.360 which fits the what fits the evidence better that he's smart in every way except this one way

01:10:00.160 or that the intelligence you've seen them apply consistently in public for decades

01:10:06.000 is universal and it applies to this area too and that i can't think of a better public service

01:10:15.040 if you think about it you know you got your got your juices running and you got all mad about him and

01:10:20.240 you thought what is he crazy and he's a partisan and he's got tds and whatever he thought

01:10:25.120 but when he was done he presented you the best version of their argument and also had presented

01:10:34.320 it in a way that you could see a gigantic hole in it and the gigantic hole was that if everybody did

01:10:41.520 what mark cuban says you could do which is try harder to get you know better candidates and then

01:10:46.160 you've got all your diversity then it can't be done because there's a limited pool but maybe one

01:10:52.560 company can do it maybe apple can do it because people want to work at apple so they could suck up

01:10:57.280 all the people who are available and fit the categories but don't you think that mark cuban

01:11:03.120 knows it's an undoable of course he does of course he does undoable unless you lower your standards

01:11:11.680 and that has nothing to do with anybody's genes or culture it's just numbers so i think that he

01:11:18.320 presented a public service in the way that only somebody like him could do and when i say somebody

01:11:24.960 like him he had to have two qualities maybe three one super smart and that's not the important one

01:11:33.840 because there are other super smart people willingness to embarrass himself in public

01:11:41.120 have you ever noticed he has that have you ever seen him at a basketball game yes mark cuban has the

01:11:48.400 willingness that if there's something to be gained or at least nothing to be lost he will embarrass

01:11:54.480 himself in public that could include yelling at the ref until he gets a big fine right it could be

01:12:01.600 anything that he needs to do to make it work so as much as i disagree on dei i think that what he added

01:12:12.560 to the process was really really good because it was a serious long-running conversation with other super

01:12:20.080 smart people in public on acts where he made his best strongest argument

01:12:27.440 in my opinion he showed its flaws by showing this is the strongest argument and it still had this giant

01:12:33.760 hole in it that's useful that is useful so don't don't discount him with the other people yeah i think he's

01:12:43.840 just playing a different game or let me generalize this if i'm totally wrong which is certainly possible

01:12:52.160 whatever is the real answer is going to be something interesting it's not going to be 0.76

01:12:59.200 that he was dumb or he was crazy it's not going to be that so i don't know what it is but it's not going to be that 0.76

01:13:05.360 all right ladies and gentlemen i'm going to say uh some words to the locals people if you haven't 0.95
