00:08:44.140 And that surprised me just cause I guess as a technologist, I kind of expected, okay, here's

00:14:21.280 Because from zero to eight, most of us have experienced some form of trauma.

00:14:28.800 Some have it as internal scars.

00:14:33.040 It defines the trajectory of our life, whether we like it or not.
00:14:37.520 And when you are going through trauma, you have to deal with the trauma you had first
00:14:43.600 because that's the format you use to deal with the future.
00:14:48.160 And the traumatic period that we're going through right now, people are losing their jobs.
00:14:54.460 People who have worked their entire careers to make a line that looks beautiful.
00:14:59.220 That line can now be duplicated by an AI in 30 seconds.
00:15:05.080 Who are you if you no longer are your job?
00:15:09.260 You have to face that existential definition.
00:15:13.440 We in the Industrial Revolution have defined ourselves by what we do.

00:16:36.200 I've gotten to sit through seminars and I've gone through her training sessions to try to

00:16:43.020 Let me tell you, it is not normal psychotherapy.
00:16:47.520 It is about facing trauma head on.
00:16:50.620 And what we do as humans is we encase our trauma into a little ball and there are layers of onion
00:16:56.740 and we hold it deep inside and we don't look at it.
00:17:00.200 And that's the ghost that's always going to chase you the rest of your life.
00:17:03.080 A lot of us guys who choose technology and mostly guys that do this, we want to rationalize
00:17:11.960 an irrational world.
00:17:13.880 I, as a kid, wanting to go to Princeton, wanting to become a subatomic particle physicist, I
00:17:20.840 wanted the world to be black and white.
00:17:22.560 I wanted it to be logical, one or zero.
00:17:25.200 I wanted it to be very clear.
