Rebel News Podcast - ANDREW CHAPADOS ｜ Business during lockdowns & having your bank frozen ｜ Shaun 'The Viking' Zimmer ｜ Andrew Says 93

00:00:00.000 link and jay bringing you a very special episode of andrew says as a guest host filling in for

00:00:11.680 our friend andrew this week today we're going to be joined by a familiar face of rebel news

00:00:17.080 sean zimmer i have reported on sean a couple of times including in winnipeg regarding him being

00:00:23.300 fined by the police for running his backyard fitness classes and we also met up during the

00:00:28.920 truckers convoy in ottawa where he actually had his bank account frozen stay tuned because this is

00:00:34.480 going to be a good episode without further ado let me introduce you to sean the viking zimmer i'm sean

00:00:41.360 zimmer some people call me the viking i'm a father an individual who speaks from his heart

00:00:49.340 his truth authentic and raw so ask me anything you want brother it's good to see you again and chat

00:00:57.220 so we sean we first crossed paths in winnipeg where you live and it was because i saw a video

00:01:06.040 it was going viral at the time of you having let's say some interesting interactions with

00:01:12.020 the local law enforcement in your area you were running a a fitness class a boot camp out of your

00:01:19.640 backyard at the time you know we were going through lockdowns um you know we were dealing with covid

00:01:25.480 restrictions almost at the peak at that time i believe and you decided i'm going to open up

00:01:30.760 a uh you know i'm going to start running fitness classes out of my backyard and just provide that

00:01:36.140 to the community and ultimately the police ended up visiting you can you just tell people um we'll get

00:01:43.380 into the police interactions uh shortly but why did you first start doing the fitness classes in your

00:01:49.560 backyard i first started doing them in my backyard because i knew people one needed a space to come

00:01:59.400 together and help them feel sane with everything going on in the world i have a place they could

00:02:06.520 connect with like-minded individuals who weren't just going along to get along and secondly to be

00:02:13.000 a shining light a lighthouse in a way where i could inspire people to open their doors and not listen

00:02:23.360 to this tyrannical rule that was being put upon us so we have a clip actually from the first time that

00:02:30.160 we met and i reported on you we're going to run that clip right now so people can see what exactly

00:02:34.800 you were doing at the time so i guess to start things off can you just give us a little bit of a

00:02:39.760 background on what actually takes place here what are you running what's organized here yeah

00:02:44.380 absolutely so my name is sean zimmer what we're doing here is taking a public stand i guess a

00:02:50.160 tyrannical rule that we're seeing across canada specifically winnipeg where we're at right now

00:02:54.400 so i've opened a boot camp in this backyard we got a few individuals so we're taking a stance saying

00:03:00.160 all this is right i'm helping people come together and have a voice and show that there's people they

00:03:05.160 connect with that feel the same as that because i know it's more so people not scared of a virus

00:03:10.680 they're scared of the ridicule or scared of the fines from just opening instead of waiting until

00:03:16.980 they're allowed to open so here we're free men and women taking a stand showing you that you can do

00:03:21.880 the same so the police as you'll see in the videos they're pretty ashamed of what they're doing

00:03:25.820 you know they say they're just doing their job they come right here on the fence we're not doing

00:03:30.760 this in a private location my house is next to one of the busiest streets here and they come here and

00:03:35.260 they've gave me three fines so far 1300 1300 and 2600 and they just stick it right in the fence and

00:03:41.640 they get their butts out here as quick as they can they won't even give me their names they say it's

00:03:45.100 for going against public health orders because originally when i started this you weren't allowed

00:03:48.740 to gather more than one person then five people and then 10 people now for me if you tell me i can

00:03:55.040 gather with 10 000 people i want 10 000 what you don't tell me how many people we can gather with here

00:03:59.580 so the police interaction was pretty embarrassing on their part i'm going to be honest with that

00:04:04.480 this story is this very interesting it's my it's i it's my second most viewed video uh that i've done

00:04:14.340 with rebel news a lot of people were very interested in this story now the police gave you all to

00:04:19.740 ultimately gave you at least we see in that video that they gave you three fines for running these boot

00:04:24.880 camps in your backyard can you kind of break it down for people what it was like when the police

00:04:30.620 first started approaching uh your property and and what what that experience was like as a whole

00:04:36.000 yeah absolutely and you know i can't even tell you how many fines we're at now i haven't been paying

00:04:43.340 attention um all those fines i just wrote i'm not in contract with you and sent them back

00:04:47.660 those interactions um you know at first we're definitely putting pressure on i knew it was

00:04:56.000 going to come though uh when i made that uh statement that we were going to offer free boot

00:05:00.040 camps in the face of what was being told that we can't do i knew the police were going to hear about

00:05:05.080 that and come at me as well so the first couple times i felt the pressure um they were definitely

00:05:11.080 trying to scare me into shut down and listening and uh you know closing my doors and not taking

00:05:15.860 the stand i was but i knew in my heart what i was doing was right so i at the beginning of everything

00:05:22.880 was pretty angry and told the f off uh you know put my phone right in their face and put them on blast

00:05:28.400 all over the internet for people to see what was going on and it didn't take long actually until

00:05:32.980 the group of police officers that were um the unit i i suppose was put in charge of me

00:05:38.240 started changing i think people were pretty embarrassed to come they didn't want to be

00:05:41.580 blasted all over the internet for the tyrannical rule they're getting behind so 0.97

00:05:44.880 that kept changing with different officers and they wouldn't share a whole lot of

00:05:49.960 conversation with me um just here you can't do this um government's telling you can't uh we don't

00:05:56.760 really have great reason behind it take it up at court if you have a problem with it and uh

00:06:01.160 but i stood my ground you know i put a no trespass sign up and didn't allow them to come on the

00:06:05.260 property didn't listen to them we kept going and kept going and i didn't put a

00:06:08.220 stop to this so i'm happy i uh was able to be that shining light in the community here

00:06:12.280 so it's now been almost two it's almost it's been just over two years now since we first

00:06:18.300 initially met since the police first started hassling you in in your backyard let's fast

00:06:23.780 forward to today are you still running the boot camps uh what's that like um so now things

00:06:29.040 have opened back up uh people have their gym facilities to go to so there wasn't a need

00:06:34.420 for that i only opened the boot camps to provide a place for people to come together as i used to

00:06:39.620 teach fitness classes and boot camps and various other classes i had moved out of that business

00:06:45.020 um as just outgrown it so as i said i only opened it to bring people together and those two reasons

00:06:51.640 we opened up in the podcast here um so this year now moving forward i've focused more on children

00:06:57.240 we've turned the whole backyard into a garden or i call it a yard in the whole yard to encourage people

00:07:02.320 to start becoming more self-sustainable how to grow their own food teaching classes on that and

00:07:06.920 uh really getting the children out together and connecting and having families um have a place

00:07:12.120 to ground and and learn how to become more self-sustainable and connect with more like-minded

00:07:16.280 individuals so we are doing uh community events still just in a different uh in a different way

00:07:21.260 than we were last year now the second time that we met again in winnipeg was uh was through monstrosity

00:07:32.020 burger now you actually were you were the person that reached out to me and made me aware of

00:07:36.900 monstrosity burger what they were going through again for for people that aren't aware just to sum

00:07:42.160 it up very quickly monstrosity burger is a restaurant in winnipeg and they did not they did

00:07:50.940 not submit to any of the covid mandates whether it was uh mandatory masking vaccine passports

00:07:58.660 they they were just not having any of it and because of that as i'm sure you can guess from sean's

00:08:05.300 experience they were fined they're almost at a hundred thousand dollars worth of fines now for

00:08:10.260 various infractions for for those mandates that i just listed off there was huge support in the

00:08:16.840 community we that's where we saw each other they were having a the so they ended up closing the

00:08:23.180 restaurant for indoor dining they pulled their liquor license so the only way monstrosity burger

00:08:27.120 was actually able to serve customers was through takeout so the community in winnipeg ended up

00:08:32.320 showing up to monstrosity burger and they basically had a picnic outside i'm gonna show a clip from that

00:08:39.300 okay so it's absolutely packed here people are waiting in line you have a closure notice

00:08:56.760 for indoor dining but clearly you're still getting tons of support do you want to just tell us what's

00:09:01.880 going on here today yeah we're just having like a get together for everyone to come pick up food and

00:09:06.260 we're gonna have some music outside and just get the community together and we're just happy to be

00:09:10.780 able to do that yeah there was a bunch of rallies today and it looks like everybody ended up here

00:09:14.560 and i just wanted to say thank you to everybody that comes it's um just an amazing day how does

00:09:20.100 it feel having this kind of support from everybody i know you guys have been through quite a bit

00:09:23.660 60 000 in fines now you had your liquor license recently pulled also with all that going on how does

00:09:30.700 it feel that all these people have your back oh it's just so amazing to bring the community together

00:09:34.840 like we can see that everyone's kind of like on the same page obviously and we want freedom

00:09:39.000 for everybody my heart just is i don't even know what to say it's just crazy yeah it just feels

00:09:44.680 really good it got so bad i mean my wife and i have been paying our employees and our bills

00:09:50.380 out of our savings which has dwindled down to pretty much nothing and we had a negative bank

00:09:56.460 account so we had to uh let our staff know that we only have a few more days which is why we closed

00:10:03.540 last saturday and it just came on them all of a sudden and we hate doing that and but we were left

00:10:09.520 with no choice we were just hoping that something would happen to keep us open for a little bit

00:10:14.200 longer uh so monstrosity burger is now closed and um we need to take a you know month off and get

00:10:22.020 our head straight and kind of figure out our next move so it's pretty sad watching that you know so

00:10:30.780 as you can see um you know almost as you can see the community there is in full support monstrosity

00:10:38.240 burger when i first visited them they were open for indoor dining they were thriving they were very

00:10:42.140 busy they had a lot of community support and then we have they have their liquor license pulled

00:10:47.500 you know a lot of people when they go for dining they a lot of people the sad reality is that if

00:10:53.920 they know that a restaurant they can't get a beer or you know a glass of wine a lot of people will

00:10:58.420 just choose to go elsewhere you know so that's a huge that hurts monstrosity burger huge there and now

00:11:04.120 so we fast forward to you know just a few months ago and they've had to ultimately you know shut

00:11:09.560 temporarily shut their business down i know you've been a huge supporter of monstrosity burger

00:11:14.900 um you've really like tried to shine a light on their business through their tough times what's

00:11:20.160 it like for you as a member of the winnipeg community to see these good people dave and

00:11:25.940 paulina jones go through this battle and ultimately have to shut down their business because of these 1.00

00:11:31.800 mandates you know it's definitely tough um in a few ways i remember when uh dave and paulina

00:11:39.360 started coming to boot camp and that was before they decided to take their public stand and

00:11:45.440 they spoke to me and referenced to what i was doing and shared that that's what they wanted to do

00:11:50.260 and you know i was a big part of that journey with them and we definitely came together as a community

00:11:58.580 in a beautiful way to support them you know myself i'm not an individual who goes out to eat

00:12:04.120 and i did make a point to go out quite often just to bring community together and support and

00:12:09.920 when everything opened back up we saw that fall apart people were happy to go support the businesses

00:12:16.840 that shunned them away for a year and over which you know many people were taken back by how open

00:12:24.580 people were to just go and support those individuals and for me you know i do my best not to judge

00:12:29.740 anybody um my stand is i'm not gonna give you my business unless you publicly apologize for what

00:12:35.680 you've done then then i i'm open to uh to go on there which we haven't seen anybody in the community

00:12:40.900 do that yet so seeing monster out there shut down their doors is tough but you know i'm a man of god

00:12:46.820 a man of faith and i truly believe that everything is given to us for the evolution of our consciousness

00:12:51.640 and our path our journey here so i do i do know this mountain that they're facing right now is uh

00:12:57.040 it has a beautiful view at the top of it they just have a grueling climb uh to get to the top

00:13:01.580 and whether that means you know they come into opening up monstrosi burger again uh or in a

00:13:06.320 different way or something completely different um i do have that face so i'm there for them where i

00:13:11.460 can be um i chat to paulina and dave uh you know here or there we go to the farmer's market actually

00:13:16.340 right down the street from me and uh you know they they hold a special place in my heart and i'm

00:13:21.860 definitely going to be here to support them on whatever event uh venture they take on i know

00:13:26.980 last time i spoke with dave and paulina they're not like they have hopes of opening it back up so

00:13:31.080 i guess we just have to keep our fingers crossed and see what happens in the future now the third

00:13:36.640 time that we crossed paths was probably one of the crazier times was during the truckers convoy in

00:13:44.460 ottawa now for again for people that might not be aware you know winnipeg to ottawa it's not you know

00:13:51.980 it's a quick flight but it's not exactly a quick drive so you made the journey from winnipeg to ottawa

00:13:57.360 can you just kind of break down uh your experience what the journey to ottawa was like being in ottawa

00:14:03.840 and then after we'll get into what happened with um with your bank account ultimately being frozen

00:14:09.960 and the emergencies act being invoked yeah absolutely lincoln um the drive there was uh

00:14:17.520 exciting but grueling at the same time um myself and three other individuals drove out just two days

00:14:24.820 after the initial convoy um headed out so we got there on the monday instead of the friday i believe

00:14:30.980 is when they got there we drove straight through a uh whiteout big blizzard and uh i think it was 24

00:14:38.340 hours straight or it might have taken us 26 or 27 hours because of the storm um so that definitely

00:14:44.880 uh threw the sleep cycle off um but the excitement uh getting down there to be boots on the ground um

00:14:52.080 you know just put that off to the side no problem getting to ottawa that was the biggest catalyst to me

00:14:59.720 changing and evolving from being a man coming out of a place of anger and instead now changing to

00:15:06.400 be a man that comes out of his heart space um you know experiencing the love the community

00:15:12.060 really coming together there everybody doing what they had to do to make it work whether that was

00:15:17.340 shoveling snow bringing food cooking food uh raising funds you know smuggling gas in to keep the trucks

00:15:24.280 running in the cold winter days to keep everybody warm at night it was life-changing um absolutely life-changing

00:15:31.400 you know i i talked often on how i was a man before who didn't like to hug people and there i was

00:15:37.080 standing with a sign that said free hugs and giving hundreds if not thousands of hugs out every day

00:15:43.520 um and that evolved into different things i took part of to help out wherever i could

00:15:48.240 so definitely life-changing anybody who was in ottawa knows um that that was a game changer you know

00:15:54.340 and shortly being there after about a week i felt i understood i had a vision what was going to happen

00:16:01.800 that this was going to end with riot police coming in and we were to stand in peaceful non-compliance

00:16:06.800 um you know following the suit of gandhi um and having the lies the government was portraying

00:16:14.600 about us show um to all the people around the world that could see it through our social media

00:16:20.320 and it woke up a lot of people to the corruption within our government unfortunately not everybody

00:16:25.660 but a lot of people so that's kind of been in a nutshell really uh life-changing and and as hard

00:16:31.720 as it was not to retaliate with any physical force we succeeded at that and i do know um that that was

00:16:38.820 the right thing to do and it changed a lot now there was uh you know looking back to that whole

00:16:44.640 experience i was there for the entire time start to finish you know there's so many

00:16:48.340 just crazy moments there was a lot of positive takeaways you know from that whole experience

00:16:53.980 seeing canadians unite like that was really special but there was some very dark dark moments

00:16:59.860 down there really dark and you were the first person that rebel news became aware of that actually

00:17:06.700 had their bank account frozen it was unbelievable that that you know it was a coincidence and it was

00:17:13.040 unbelievable that of course it's you you're the person that has their bank account frozen the first

00:17:17.780 person that we hear of at rebel news to have their bank account frozen we're going to just play

00:17:22.340 a small clip from uh the day that i met you and found out that you had your account frozen

00:17:28.260 as of today a bank or other financial service provider will be able to immediately freeze or suspend an account

00:17:39.780 without without a court order

00:17:42.340 so in your account i'm not sure if you're aware but there was a cma um uh under the measures act

00:17:50.860 uh they required financial institutions to suspend financial services uh for accounts with large crowd funding

00:17:58.340 going through towards the protest

00:18:00.260 so you guys have not only frozen my account but suspended my account

00:18:11.940 so you guys have not only frozen my account but suspended my account

00:18:20.500 so you guys have not only frozen my account but suspended my account

00:18:22.500 so you guys have not only frozen my account for now i mean we're working on this as well

00:18:26.500 i came down here with the freedom convoy here in parliament hill

00:18:30.500 okanawa and my bank account has gone frozen

00:18:36.260 crazy to think that the government was actually freezing people's bank accounts

00:18:40.340 what what was that like for you what was that experience like

00:18:44.020 um for me you know i saw it as another win um everything i see all the ridiculousness and

00:18:49.860 things that are being done to wake more people up shake them and have them look at just how

00:18:56.660 much the government is overreaching and how much power we've given them or we shouldn't and how

00:19:02.260 they're not here to protect the people so for me i i definitely saw the the glass is half full with that

00:19:08.420 one and um and and did my best just to work around it um and you know that ended up with my bank account

00:19:15.060 i think of 15 plus years uh being shut down they never opened it back up um but again it it it woke up

00:19:21.700 a lot of people and and really we set that fire under a lot of people's asses to take a stand and

00:19:27.940 speak out and say enough's enough we need to do something about this so i looked at it as a good

00:19:31.940 thing um and i honestly wasn't that surprised when it happened it's still frozen now yeah they shut

00:19:39.300 that account down actually after about three months i i was getting pretty uh pretty upset about

00:19:45.220 it i said hey bank what like what's going on i wrote to them and finally called them a couple

00:19:48.820 times like you guys gotta figure this out and the next day they just uh they sent me

00:19:52.820 uh informal letter without any uh conversation other than the fact that hey we've closed your bank

00:19:57.300 account uh down due to um our regulations with the federal government and um our risk to reward ratio

00:20:04.020 and that was that um so i've uh yeah i switched over to a different bank now and that was a that was a

00:20:09.380 credit union um uh assiniboine credit union so a lot of people think they were safe with credit

00:20:14.420 unions and actually that was not the case that was with credit union it's crazy we got we're just uh

00:20:20.660 running out of time here so i want to just uh get two more quick questions in with you um

00:20:27.860 so a lot of people believe that with what we saw with the truckers convoy in ottawa they believe that

00:20:34.580 that changed things in canada you know it didn't happen right away but now we can see that i know not

00:20:41.940 everything is back to normal like we have firefighters here in the city of toronto who

00:20:45.220 are still off work because they're not vaccinated you know there's a lot of people who are still on

00:20:49.460 the on the wrong side of of what we've seen for the past two years but a lot of things are back to the

00:20:56.180 way they were do you think that is because of the truckers convoy do you think that the government

00:21:01.140 has just kind of moved on from covet and they're on to something next what are your thoughts on that

00:21:06.820 yeah i definitely think the truckers convoy had a big impact on that along with everything you know

00:21:12.580 all the things that i spoke on the ridiculousness all the things that have helped people wake up

00:21:18.100 um originally i you know at the beginning of spring i thought for sure things gonna come hit heavy

00:21:23.540 in fall um and then i started realizing no a lot of people are saying enough enough even those who got

00:21:29.540 behind um this this mess of things at the beginning are like no more um holy i see what you guys are

00:21:37.540 talking about so for the last few months i've been pretty confident i think um we're not going to see

00:21:42.020 a push this fall or even maybe for a few years until people lose consciousness again as there's too much

00:21:46.980 pushback right they have to be careful um they they do have um their goal they're going for um but they

00:21:53.620 when there's too much pushback they have to stop right and that's where we saw the crumbs so to say

00:21:57.540 being handed throughout the pandemic where they open things a little bit even just look at the gas

00:22:02.580 prices right jack them up drop them down just a little bit and people start getting oh thank thank

00:22:07.700 you the gas is down to 160 now um you know just that uh take two steps and one step back take two steps

00:22:14.660 one step back so i think right now um the the real the real push is you know um the climate change uh uh
