Rebel News Podcast - Best 2020 Interviews (Part 2)

00:00:00.000 happy new year and welcome to rebel roundup ladies and gentlemen and the rest of you i'm

00:00:21.300 your host david menzies now normally we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week

00:00:26.420 by your favorite rebels but this is a pre-recorded rebel roundup because well it's new year's day and

00:00:32.760 please let us all collectively hope and pray that 2021 will be far more merry than that

00:00:40.680 hellacious 12 months of misery known as 2020 good riddance in any event we're going to run some of

00:00:49.260 our favorite rebel roundups of the past year leading off is kian bexie's visit to the toronto

00:00:54.800 headquarters of dominion voting in search of answers now you think there would be a ton of

00:01:00.320 media types doing what kian was doing but thanks to trump derangement syndrome such was not the case

00:01:07.900 then there was my interview with sheila gun reid who chronicled the plight of walter matheson

00:01:13.320 perhaps the most bizarre and ridiculous fight the fines case that we brought to you walter you may

00:01:20.600 recall was the new brunswick senior sitting by himself in his car with the windows rolled up

00:01:26.680 in an empty tim hortons parking lot he was merely enjoying his morning coffee and a muffin

00:01:32.100 and somehow a police officer deemed this to be a super spreader event and slammed walter with a

00:01:40.400 hefty wuhan virus ticket but not to worry this story does have a very happy ending as for letters you

00:01:48.660 had plenty to say of the unbelievable smackdown that occurred at adamson barbecue in toronto in

00:01:55.600 november yes owner adam skelly was deemed public enemy number one for that egregious crime of trying

00:02:04.040 to make a living by cooking up some brisket yeah that was just one piece of the insanity that was 2020

00:02:11.900 enjoy

00:02:13.400 keem bexin for rebel news standing in toronto outside of the headquarters of a business you've

00:02:23.380 probably heard of dominion voting systems donald trump has been tweeting about this company pretty

00:02:28.360 much non-stop over the past few days after allegations of voter fraud arose specifically

00:02:34.380 coming out of michigan about 3 000 ballots were switched from donald trump to joe biden leading to

00:02:40.660 a 6 000 vote swing in one michigan county now dominion voting systems has their hands over

00:02:48.760 elections in tons of counties in the united states they manage the elections in all of georgia's 140

00:02:54.360 something counties and they run elections also in canada with the conservative party of canada

00:02:58.640 and also in new brunswick and it seems like it's hard to keep track of actually how many times

00:03:03.840 allegations of voter fraud follow whenever they get involved in an election it's a huge problem but

00:03:09.620 today we're here for a different reason we've learned that they share not just an office building

00:03:14.780 but they share an office floor with tides canada now tides canada is interested in meddling in politics

00:03:21.660 within canada and the united states they will do whatever they can to stop any sort of resource

00:03:26.980 development even if it means getting involved in politics it's a huge problem here in canada and

00:03:32.100 clearly in the united states we're really interested to know why they just happen to have

00:03:37.580 very expensive office space here in chinatown in toronto shared with dominion voting systems the

00:03:43.800 company that just happens to have an ungodly amount of control over the american presidential

00:03:49.380 elections we're going to go in there and ask a few questions and see why they're trying to

00:03:53.960 hide the fact that they actually share an office floor because we've poked our head in and we've seen

00:03:59.060 that they've actually removed the placards that show exactly where their office is headquartered

00:04:04.580 removed at the request of the tenants so that was removed at the request of the tenants now i wonder

00:04:09.340 why they would do that it seems almost like an admission that something a little bit distasteful

00:04:14.540 is going on but we don't know we're going to go ask we're going to see if we can get an interview and

00:04:18.640 speak with folks at dominion voting as they go into work this morning let's see what we can find

00:04:24.120 hi there would you be able to tell us why dominion voting gave so much money to hillary clinton

00:04:32.640 would you be able to explain that to me

00:04:34.480 she did have a dominion voting tag there very luckily we were invited in by a friendly

00:04:42.740 individual who works in this building not for tides and not for dominion voting but he wanted us to be

00:04:47.040 in where it's warm while we asked folks coming into work on this early toronto morning

00:04:51.120 what dominion voting was doing when they donated almost 50 000 to hillary clinton and i didn't make

00:04:59.260 that up the document is right here it's almost too crazy to believe that an organization that we trust

00:05:05.480 to be impartial that controls the integrity of the ballots in dozens of jurisdictions from new

00:05:11.600 brunswick to new york dominion voting has their hands on ballots across the world and we are supposed

00:05:18.100 to trust them that they're handling those with integrity why did they decide that hillary clinton

00:05:23.980 was deserving of so much cash ah the plot thickens and sickens one thing is for sure when it comes to

00:05:32.160 dominion voting the optics stink worse than a polecat trapped in an abandoned outhouse the fact that

00:05:39.240 this company not only shares office space in toronto with the odious tides foundation but is also

00:05:46.220 on record as donating money to the clinton foundation i mean really how fishy how unethical

00:05:54.180 is that and joining me now regarding this fascinating story is kian bexty welcome to rebel roundup my

00:06:01.460 friend hi david hey kian i have to tell you that was an absolutely great report but i find it absolutely

00:06:10.160 fascinating that there isn't a flotilla of media media vehicles parked outside dominion headquarters

00:06:16.880 and i'm not talking canadian media outlets i mean u.s networks like cnn and abc and cbs and so on

00:06:23.760 and yet it's pretty much radio silence isn't it so why is it given that the allegations of voter fraud

00:06:32.060 are so serious this is something i think kian that makes watergate look like a little white lie if

00:06:39.760 proven yeah no this this whole story has been left to independent media to cover uh which is very

00:06:48.440 strange um maybe i should get used to it at this point but it's clear that large media organizations

00:06:55.540 have a vested interest in there being absolutely no question about the credibility of joe biden's

00:07:02.940 recent supposed wins um so the unlike when when donald trump won uh every media outlet criticized

00:07:12.360 him and his path to victory they said oh russia was involved blah blah yada yada but when it's joe biden

00:07:19.020 no any sort of doubt can't be accepted and that's what's happening here what what we're doing

00:07:26.200 effectively is casting doubt on that election because uh but for good reason right like this

00:07:31.620 dominion voting company this company that we trust to be to have integrity and to handle ballots fairly

00:07:38.080 and when a ballot goes into one of their boxes the right code digital code comes out and goes to the

00:07:44.540 right servers and and counts things correctly that's what we're trusting but for some reason

00:07:49.020 they've decided to set up shop in a hive a commune of leftist in some cases radical extreme leftists

00:07:58.460 like george soros they've set up shop with them they've gotten to bed with them and that reflects

00:08:04.240 on them and how how well we can trust them to act impartially and the answer is we can't trust them

00:08:09.700 at all and the mainstream media doesn't want to talk about it obviously yeah and surely those other

00:08:14.840 tenants of that uh building that you visited kian that that must be some kind of cosmic coincidence

00:08:20.340 i suppose but i think you nailed it the the word is trust and certainly uh president trump has brought

00:08:26.960 this up and i think it's a valid question why is dominion voting it's a toronto-based company here in

00:08:35.200 canada why is their technology uh not deemed good enough or or reliable enough for the canadian federal

00:08:43.300 election yet 30 states in the usa have have adopted this i mean that doesn't make sense to me kian

00:08:51.740 it doesn't make sense and we do have more coming out on this story because it gets even worse uh than

00:08:57.920 what you've described the leadership of this company are in bed with um the worst kind of people uh they're

00:09:06.520 they're in bed very very uh um maybe i shouldn't spoil the scoop that we have published uh coming

00:09:13.020 out here on monday but um you know the the it goes right to the top of dominion voting uh and i encourage

00:09:19.720 everyone to stay tuned on this story because it's going to get worse and kian where are the dominion

00:09:25.100 head honchos it's like a game of where's waldo it seems like they've disappeared off the face of the

00:09:30.300 planet that's exactly what we've been wondering ourselves um but we're we're on a beat i think

00:09:38.840 that might expose one of them for doing something that someone in his position really shouldn't be

00:09:44.260 doing so um you know they they've run ahead they don't want to answer any questions whether it's from

00:09:51.040 me whether it's from donald trump's campaign from sydney powell from rudy giuliani uh they don't want to

00:09:57.880 answer any questions and i can understand why they probably just made a killing during this election

00:10:02.320 their voting machines was hundreds thousands of their machines were used throughout the united states

00:10:07.520 uh so they're just raking in the dough and they don't want uh to stoke the they don't want to risk

00:10:14.860 uh any future contracts by admitting that they really lack the integrity that they were selling

00:10:21.000 themselves with you know and and there are many questions to ask as you pointed out in your report

00:10:27.220 kian this idea that they gave a donation i think it was up to fifty thousand dollars to the clinton

00:10:34.420 foundation kian if i was running a company that was responsible for the voting of citizens in an

00:10:43.260 election i think it's safe to say there would be an ironclad policy that you cannot make any political

00:10:52.060 donations you can't support any campaigns you can't support any candidates we have to be seen as pure

00:10:59.980 as the driven snow we we we can't be seen seen to have any kind of bias and yet here's a potential

00:11:06.260 fifty thousand dollar donation to the clintons that stinks kian well think about it this way david 0.51

00:11:13.260 uh why would they have that policy why would anyone uh working with government have that policy and the

00:11:19.180 answer would be so that they can get more contracts because well depending on who's in charge they don't

00:11:23.740 want to ruffle any feathers maybe the next day red team's gonna be in charge maybe the next day the 0.99

00:11:28.100 blue team's gonna be in charge so just stay out of it all that would be the reasonable expectation

00:11:31.900 but for some reason they made the call that even donating to hillary clinton the the figurehead of

00:11:40.820 the democrat party really like she when you think about the people in charge you think hillary clinton

00:11:45.780 um they thought that that was okay which means they made a judgment call that that the people in

00:11:54.180 charge uh of course it wasn't donald trump saying yeah let's use dominion voting machines but the people in

00:11:59.580 the deep state who said yeah this is how we're going to run this election uh these are the risks

00:12:06.120 that we're going to accept they did that they certainly vetted didn't mean voting i'm sure

00:12:10.520 they're certainly aware that they donated to hillary clinton i'm sure they're probably even aware that

00:12:14.920 they're very close to george soros but they still made the call those in the deep state making those

00:12:20.080 calls on which election on which vote tabulation machines to use during the election they still thought

00:12:26.540 that that was acceptable which makes me question the integrity not just of the election but the

00:12:32.420 integrity of the u.s government and well not and not just the u.s government but the state governments

00:12:37.760 that uh that are actually in charge of their elections and kian like i said if these allegations are true

00:12:44.080 this is the story of our young century thus far that this company flipped a u.s presidential election

00:12:52.840 and again you know these are allegations that do have to be uh proven in a court of law and i know that

00:12:58.660 the clock is ticking but i i really resent the mainstream media narrative here that this is uh just

00:13:05.160 people strolling down conspiracy boulevard that there's no there there we have in the u.s dozens and

00:13:12.260 dozens of people that have come forward under penalty of perjury talking about the shenanigans that they

00:13:19.120 eyewitnessed going back to november the third election night this has to be investigated but

00:13:25.880 it's it's like the media is part of this dominion voting cover-up itself what are your thoughts on that

00:13:32.660 well the the media is is a and it's never been proven better than it has now i mean lots of people

00:13:39.600 kind of thought that this was the case but it's clear now it's absolutely clear that the media doesn't

00:13:45.400 just act as a spokes group for the democratic party they have positioned put themselves in a position

00:13:53.880 where they think it is their divine right to crown the president just like uh you know just like god

00:14:01.780 will crown the queen um they are saying that they have the right to crown the president of the united

00:14:08.260 states and that is a massive problem because if that's the case uh we don't really live in a

00:14:16.260 democracy well the at least americans don't i i think maybe a similar argument can be made for

00:14:21.060 canada but at least in the united states if it is the media that is determining who is and who is not

00:14:27.260 a legitimate president as they did over the last four years they said donald trump is illegitimate

00:14:31.620 and now they're saying that joe biden is legitimate when there's more questions about the legitimacy of

00:14:36.800 joe biden's presidency than there ever was than there ever was about donald trump there's more

00:14:41.280 evidence that toronto hacked the 2020 election than moscow ever having hacked the 2016 election

00:14:47.180 that's a fact you you are so so right i mean you know kian where is woodward and bernstein when you

00:14:53.440 need them they're not digging up scoops anymore they're actually uh crafting uh public relations policy

00:14:59.720 for the democratic party what a sad sad state of affairs well you know what again it's an evolving story

00:15:06.260 uh it's a fascinating story i just hope there's enough time uh for the spotlight to be shed on

00:15:13.700 the people behind dominion voting they have a lot to answer for but that was a fantastic story and

00:15:19.180 thank you again for making time to uh talk about it with me today kian thanks david and we do have a

00:15:25.840 little bit of time because if the republicans take the house in 2020 as i think they will

00:15:30.040 impeachment is always on the table yeah indeed well let's see if they have it in them to do that

00:15:36.500 so um but uh time will tell kian thank you so much again and have a great weekend my friend

00:15:42.520 you too david and that was kian bexty in calgary keep it here folks more of rebel roundup to come

00:15:48.760 right after this we have a victory on our hands here friends the prosecutor in hampton has thrown

00:16:01.580 out walter's ticket they say on a technicality even though that technicality is something that could

00:16:07.180 have easily been amended i say they turf the ticket because they all know that cop made a huge mistake

00:16:15.220 and embarrassed himself and everyone else now forced to deal with the ticket after the fact

00:16:19.780 they're dropping that ticket because walter fought back and because we told the world about what

00:16:26.940 happened to walter now i caught up with walter earlier this week to talk about the good news take a

00:16:34.300 listen well i went to the court and uh i waited outside because there was 30 people ahead of me and they

00:16:43.500 were only allowing a few people in at a time a couple i think anyway i finally got in after the 30

00:16:49.060 people were done this was three hours later and i went in and sat on the bench and waited till they

00:16:55.140 waiting for them to call me up uh when the last person up speaking to the judge uh finished

00:17:04.440 uh it was a woman and she left and as she left i just got up and walked out the door and i said

00:17:11.340 what on earth is going on here and the sheriff there was standing next to me he says i don't know

00:17:18.280 anyway this lady comes over to me and she says walter i said yes she said i found your ticket this

00:17:25.400 morning and it wasn't made out properly so we tore it up well i'm i don't know whether i believe that or

00:17:33.580 not but i kind of wondered why they didn't let me know when i was there not three hours before that but

00:17:39.440 anyway they said it was uh torn out thrown out uh what do you think because i think that they tossed

00:17:50.300 your ticket because they didn't think that you were going to fight back i think they thought you

00:17:54.280 were going to roll over they didn't think you were going to go public they didn't think that you would

00:17:59.120 ultimately end up embarrassing the police force with your very public story uh they didn't think

00:18:04.300 you would get end up with a lawyer and they didn't think you would show up in court to contest the

00:18:08.660 ticket so i think that they were just didn't want to deal with walter matheson anymore that's what i

00:18:14.680 think now walter i'm i'm very happy to hear that your ticket has been dropped i know a lot of people

00:18:20.760 were were cheering for you and and supportive of you fighting back and i know a lot of people donated

00:18:27.260 to help cover the cost of your lawyer sam goldstein um do you have any uh message for those people oh

00:18:33.840 yes i'd like to thank everybody that uh that that stood behind me for this especially uh rebel news of

00:18:42.240 course and you sheila you're my hero now uh there was a lot of a lot of people that commented uh on it

00:18:49.640 and i i read most of them uh yes i'd like to thank you all that that uh supported me and hopefully

00:18:59.300 this ever happens again victory as you know folks rebel news launched our fight the fines campaign

00:19:06.620 way back in may i believe because heck nobody else was stepping up to the plate including the canadian

00:19:12.440 civil liberties association we wanted to stand up for canadians who were being brutalized by bylaw

00:19:18.640 and even law enforcement for the silliest things like sitting alone on a park bench or such as the

00:19:25.940 case with walter matheson simply enjoying a coffee and muffin by himself in a car in a parking lot with

00:19:33.980 the windows rolled up what utter madness but fast forward to the present and the matheson case has been

00:19:40.940 dropped gee i wonder why joining me now with more on this crazy story within

00:19:48.640 super happy ending is sheila gun reed welcome to rebel roundup my friend hey david thanks for having

00:19:55.240 me on the show oh yeah and thank you and what a great story sheila here's my take i'm thinking that

00:20:01.640 behind the scenes that rcmp officer was just begging to have this case dropped hey he might have won

00:20:10.260 in a court of law who knows we'll never know now but in the court of public opinion wow this guy

00:20:16.960 was humiliated what are your thoughts yeah i think that's exactly what happened i i mean

00:20:24.200 as far as fight the fines cases go some are really atrocious egregious for example tamara being cuffed

00:20:33.960 for walking along the beach i mean that's insane uh the young mom um who was searched under her clothes 0.88

00:20:40.760 and stuffed in a cop a cop car because she took her daughter to an abandoned park during the time 0.99

00:20:47.080 of the woo flu i mean some of them are really egregious walter's was probably the most ridiculous 0.61

00:20:52.580 and it had a lot of public interest in it because i think a lot of people saw that it could happen to

00:20:58.000 them too because it was walter was just doing a normal thing as safely as possible he was eating his

00:21:05.280 muffin and finishing his coffee in a tim hortons parking lot with the windows rolled up alone and

00:21:12.300 a cop comes over to him and says you got to move along um you're going to attract teenagers to this

00:21:18.860 parking lot i mean it's hard to even say it out loud because it's so ridiculous that you know like

00:21:25.120 the teenagers are like oh let's go down to the tim hortons to see if there's any old guys eating a 1.00

00:21:29.140 muffin down there and we'll just mill about because they're there i mean it was crazy and then walter

00:21:34.560 tried to leave the cop asked walter to leave and walter said what am i doing wrong the cop really

00:21:41.180 didn't tell him and then walter said it's still a free country and then tried to comply with the

00:21:47.280 officer anyway and leave the cop stops walter and then gives him a ticket for failing to comply

00:21:52.580 and the cop gets really vulgar and abusive with walter but walter citizen journalist that he is

00:22:00.940 and muffin aficionado he recorded the phone or the conversation with the cop and that's really what

00:22:07.420 spurred everything i and from there it got even worse because the cop tried to pull the same bully

00:22:13.820 tactics with me but i'm happy to say that walter's case has been dropped there was a

00:22:21.280 address error or an informational error on his ticket i mean they could have amended it easily

00:22:27.320 um i spoke to sam goldstein our lawyer who's working the case he said it could have just easily amended

00:22:33.280 the ticket and proceeded with the ticket um but i think they wanted to get walter rid of walter and us

00:22:39.340 and this whole embarrassing problem the best way possible and for them it was dropping the ticket and

00:22:45.300 at least that way they didn't have to lose it in court you know and sheila here's the thing we've talked

00:22:51.120 about this before in the past that police officer and to me this is so inexplicable he approaches

00:22:57.240 walter very jovial and very friendly and on a dime he switches uh from dr jekyll to mr hyde in terms of

00:23:08.040 his attitude he even uses uh some profanity and walter's certainly not giving him lip he's just asking

00:23:14.240 honest questions in a calm manner i never quite understood that uh you know why this guy could

00:23:22.020 be so easily triggered and that's not really who you want in law enforcement but you mentioned

00:23:26.360 something uh you were bullied along the lines as were as was our company and i i imagine sheila you're 0.89

00:23:34.240 you're referring to that ridiculous lawyer's letter and i say ridiculous because it was full of spelling

00:23:40.540 and grammatical errors and they were basically uh intensifying the bullying weren't they sheila they 0.65

00:23:47.280 were saying they wanted us to take the video down hello you're talking to the wrong media company we

00:23:54.340 don't bend the knee uh to uh uh you know malicious uh legal letters do we sheila no i mean the the cop

00:24:04.120 clearly never had or not that he never had but he doesn't often have people like walter push back

00:24:10.180 and walter pushed back quite politely he tried to comply but he just said this is still a free country

00:24:15.340 and so it made perfect sense after the fact when the cop got what i would suspect is the most inept

00:24:23.740 lawyer in all of hampton new brunswick to send a legal letter to us telling me to turn over the

00:24:30.300 recording of the interaction that walter took accusing me of taking the recording i'm in alberto

00:24:37.980 walter's in hampton new brunswick we didn't know each other before so i don't know why i would be

00:24:42.500 sitting in his car halfway across the country surreptitiously recording something i don't know

00:24:47.540 crouched behind the back seat of walter's car i don't know what these two thought that i was doing

00:24:52.560 and they wanted me to turn that over to the cops like they're demanding that a journalist turn over

00:24:58.840 their materials their investigative materials to the rcmp who at the rcmp station would ever touch

00:25:04.060 those by the way and uh it was pretty clear that they didn't even read the website copy that

00:25:10.040 accompanied the video that i published or watch the video before they fired off that legal letter

00:25:15.040 because they said that i repeatedly mentioned the cop's name in there i never did not even once i

00:25:20.560 didn't write it i didn't say it because at the time the cop really wasn't the issue for me 0.76

00:25:26.120 it was the stupid rule that enabled this cop to do those things and that's really what i took issue 0.79

00:25:32.480 with until the cop took an issue with me and he tried to bully me he tried to shut me up so naturally 0.99

00:25:39.540 i did a story about it and i i lit up the lawyer and i lit up the cop and it ended up being one of

00:25:45.340 our most popular fight the fines videos it wasn't even a fight the fines video it was like an update to a

00:25:50.920 fight the fines video and it got nearly half a million views because it exposed the bullies

00:25:58.260 for who they really are and it also showed how these covid regulations are really empowering the

00:26:03.620 bullies who don't normally have a lot of power yeah i think it's called the barbara streisand effect 0.83

00:26:09.160 yeah sheila and also correct me if i'm wrong but didn't this dimwit of a lawyer run for the liberal 0.91

00:26:15.020 party in the in the election and um uh without any success surprisingly but geez um i guess that's

00:26:23.600 the kind of uh cloth liberal candidates are cut from these days eh sheila she's the perfect liberal 1.00

00:26:30.280 candidate just perfect she's a bully she's not good at the job she already has um because she can't 1.00

00:26:37.200 spell she i mean she didn't even get the address of the company right when she sent the legal letter 0.97

00:26:42.000 like that's just like a cut and paste and somehow she screwed that up too um yeah she ran for the 0.95

00:26:47.260 liberals in hampton new brunswick uh running on her reputation um and and she's from what i understand 0.58

00:26:54.260 a perennial liberal candidate and she got absolutely smoke like she got ndp levels of support um what

00:27:03.440 you'd see in alberta that's what she got out there like it was it wasn't good i think she got maybe

00:27:08.020 a thousand votes i mean and she was bragging i noticed online about the number of doors she 0.98

00:27:14.840 knocked like she said she knocked like 10 10 000 doors or something like that and she couldn't even

00:27:20.360 you know motivate one in 10 of those people to show up and vote for her at the ballot box geez maybe she 1.00

00:27:25.520 thought that's how an election works uh the number of doors you knock on whoever knocks on the most you

00:27:30.260 win the election but yeah sheila we got to wrap it up so a humiliating defeat uh at the ballots for the

00:27:36.680 liberal lawyer a uh humiliation for the officer who brought it upon himself uh by acting so

00:27:43.740 unprofessionally i would say a resounding victory for walter matheson no matter how you look at

00:27:50.160 at it there's going to be no fine and certainly in the court of public opinion he's a hero

00:27:54.240 one last question uh i'm almost disappointed sheila because we were going to cover that trial 1.00

00:28:00.040 all hands on deck but i guess that just shows for once uh that cop made the right decision

00:28:06.540 in what waving the white flag of surrender eh yeah well yeah we had talked about sending the

00:28:14.040 mostly the entire company out there to cover it as though it were the oj trial or the menendez brothers

00:28:19.800 or something like that i was very excited to be the nancy grace of the company um every night doing

00:28:26.180 color commentary um but for yes as you rightly point out for once they did the right thing and

00:28:32.280 it is simply to save face it's not because they are motivated to do the right thing because they

00:28:37.780 realize they did something wrong it's that they know that this would never stand up in the court of

00:28:44.620 law and this was just a petty grievance um between a cop and a citizen who pushed back just a little bit

00:28:53.200 that's what it's about i love it the oj trial for fight the fines if you don't have a timbit

00:28:58.120 you must acquit uh sheila great news thank you so much for this thanks david have a great weekend

00:29:07.360 you too my friend and that was sheila gun reid somewhere in the hinterland of northern alberta

00:29:12.800 keep it here folks more of rebel roundup to come right after this

00:29:16.200 be careful be careful be careful

00:29:41.740 it's over

00:29:48.740 let me get some breath first

00:29:56.740 let me get some breath first 0.99

00:30:03.740 let's get some meat and let's start beating these people 0.93

00:30:05.740 that's amazing 0.98

00:30:07.740 you better leave 1.00

00:30:09.740 go fucking home 1.00

00:30:10.740 you better stand down 1.00

00:30:32.740 this is what united non-compliance looks like what everybody from all walks of life

00:30:37.620 realizes that this is full of and they can't do anything look we're here we're inside

00:31:27.540 oh

00:33:38.660 Watch out! Watch out! 0.99

00:33:40.660 God is with you!

00:33:41.660 Good job, guys!

00:33:42.660 God bless you, man!

00:33:43.660 Well, that was the scene at Adamson BBQ in West End, Toronto, last Thursday.

00:33:54.160 Complete and utter chaos.

00:33:56.660 In fact, given the enormous police presence,

00:33:59.660 if you had happened upon the scene uninformed,

00:34:02.160 you would have thought that there was an active shooter on the premises,

00:34:06.660 or maybe this was a terrorist situation.

00:34:09.660 It was neither, of course.

00:34:11.660 It was all about a restaurateur trying to cook up some brisket.

00:34:16.160 And for whatever reason, you just cannot do that in John Tory's Toronto.

00:34:22.160 In any event, you had plenty to say about Adam Skelly and the Great Canadian Barbecue Rebellion

00:34:28.660 that was brutally quashed because, well, Adamson BBQ is not a retailer with special privileges like,

00:34:36.660 oh, I don't know, Walmart or Costco.

00:34:38.660 Travis Misao writes,

00:34:42.160 they wouldn't go and arrest BLM and Antifa like that.

00:34:46.160 No, they would not.

00:34:47.160 And if you were to shut down the railway tracks in the name of climate justice or indigenous land claims,

00:34:54.160 that sort of criminal activity would be allowed to linger for several weeks.

00:34:59.160 How did we suddenly find ourselves, folks, living in a society that truly embraces a two-tier justice system?

00:35:07.660 John Neal Bunting writes,

00:35:09.660 murders, rapes, pedos all over Toronto, but the whole force is here.

00:35:15.660 Look at the force used. 0.92

00:35:17.660 You would think Adamson is a mass murderer.

00:35:21.160 You know, I agree, John.

00:35:22.160 This was overkill on the behalf of the authorities.

00:35:26.160 But that was the point.

00:35:28.160 Mayor John Tory's worst nightmare would have been for dozens or even hundreds of businesses to follow suit.

00:35:35.160 This was his message to other entrepreneurs that if you dare open your shop,

00:35:41.160 get ready for all the king's horses and all the king's men to descend upon your store and haul you away handcuffed inside a police cruiser.

00:35:50.660 Mayor Tory, that was a disgrace.

00:35:53.660 Jordana writes,

00:35:54.660 this is about the Great Reset.

00:35:57.160 The politicians are admitting it.

00:35:59.160 Well, Jordana, if the Great Reset means living in a city without getting to enjoy the best brisket this side of Texas,

00:36:07.660 I want no part of it.

00:36:09.660 Serendipity Me writes,

00:36:11.660 OMG, he's a father of young children.

00:36:14.660 This is beyond diabolical.

00:36:16.660 God help us.

00:36:17.660 Yes, and Adam Scali doesn't want a handout, folks.

00:36:21.160 He just wants to serve food and make an honest living.

00:36:24.660 You know, just like the Costco is doing.

00:36:27.660 The Costco that is situated a mere 400 metres or so away from his restaurant.

00:36:32.660 But yet again, if this pandemic has proven anything in 2020, it is this old adage,

00:36:39.660 one law for thee and one law for me.

00:36:42.660 NJ writes,

00:36:43.660 we are all in this together, say the liars, but they are all in on this together.

00:36:50.660 Indeed, NJ, I think the phrase, we are all in this together, has now knocked off the phrase, the check is in the mail, as the greatest lie ever uttered.

00:37:01.660 And Gayla's Great Danes and Maines writes,

00:37:04.660 when tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.

00:37:08.660 Thomas Jefferson.

00:37:09.660 You know, but that's the thing, Gayla, where is the rebellion?

00:37:13.660 A rebellion cannot be just one man defying draconian laws.

00:37:19.660 It would have been fantastic if other retailers had followed Adam's lead and had opened their doors as well.

00:37:26.660 But obviously anyone who was thinking about that sort of civil disobedience had second thoughts once the city used a bazooka to eradicate a flea.

00:37:37.660 What we saw last week was one of the most shameful days in Toronto's history.

00:37:43.660 And Mayor Tory, the pretend conservative with the fragile ego,

00:37:48.660 he should be downright embarrassed about ever showing his face in public.

00:37:54.660 It was that much of a disgrace, folks.

00:37:56.660 Well, that wraps up another edition of Rebel Roundup.

00:37:58.660 Thanks so much for joining us.

00:38:00.660 See you next week.

00:38:01.660 And hey, folks, never forget, without risk, there can be no glory.

00:38:05.660 Good night.
