00:01:14.240 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you,

00:01:32.860 in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favorite Rebels.

00:01:37.960 I'm your host, David Menzies.

00:01:39.880 Well, thanks to Ezra Levent's Scoop of the Year, we now know that Justin Trudeau actually invited members

00:01:47.740 of China's People's Liberation Army to Canada so that these foreign troops could do some cold-weather training

00:01:55.160 at CFB Petawawa in Ontario.

00:01:57.780 But get this, folks.

00:01:59.100 Are Chinese nationals also here learning how to fly aircraft?

00:02:03.320 Oh, just will you see what Kian Bexty discovered.

00:02:08.500 Oh, not again.

00:02:10.460 A shopper gets the bums rushed by mall security guards for not wearing a mask, 0.98

00:02:15.220 even though she had a bona fide medical exemption.

00:02:19.660 Yet again, we have another story of how a corporation believes

00:02:23.200 that its own internal policy trumps the rule of the land.

00:02:28.660 Tamara Ugolini has all the infuriating details. 1.00

00:02:31.820 And letters, we get your letters.

00:02:33.820 We get them every minute of every day.

00:02:35.560 And you had plenty to say about my video regarding Joshua Walker,

00:02:40.000 who went shopping with his pregnant girlfriend earlier this month

00:02:43.600 to Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, Ontario.

00:02:46.800 And what did Joshua pick up?

00:02:48.840 Well, how about some bruises at the hands of the mall security guards,

00:02:53.340 plus criminal charges the next day from York Regional Police.

00:02:57.620 And what was Joshua's crime?

00:02:59.880 Well, that's the thing, folks.

00:03:01.820 Looking at the video evidence, it doesn't appear that any crime was committed whatsoever.

00:03:07.900 Those are your Rebels.

00:03:09.020 Now let's round them up.

00:03:10.220 Kian Bexley for Rebel News here in Red Deer, Alberta.

00:03:17.720 Just days after Rebel News broke a pretty concerning story that made news around the world.

00:03:23.360 Justin Trudeau was favouring the People's Liberation Army over the dignity of his own military,

00:03:28.960 the Canadian Armed Forces.

00:03:30.200 Instead of agreeing with what the general at the time wanted to do,

00:03:33.800 which was cancel all of the winter warfare training that was being held sort of as a diplomatic process

00:03:39.300 for the appeasement of Xi Jinping.

00:03:42.340 Well, instead of cancelling that, Justin Trudeau wanted to continue it and double down.

00:03:46.800 Justin Trudeau wanted to train generals and corporals and privates in the Chinese military,

00:03:51.720 despite the advice saying that we shouldn't because, you know, they're currently holding hostage Canadian citizens. 0.99

00:03:57.400 The two Michaels, Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor.

00:03:59.900 That doesn't matter to Justin Trudeau.

00:04:01.680 Justin Trudeau just wanted to help his friend Xi Jinping save face.

00:04:06.020 This news made headlines across the world from the United Kingdom to the United States.

00:04:10.680 Tucker Carlson even interviewed Ezra Levant over this story.

00:04:14.620 And the CBC the whole time was acting like nothing was happening.

00:04:17.740 They were more concerned talking about the vocabulary of social justice warriors and Wemexin,

00:04:22.700 or whatever you want to call them,

00:04:24.240 instead of talking about the major classified document dump that Rebel News conducted over the course of last week.

00:04:29.700 Now, why am I here in Red Deer?

00:04:30.960 Well, following that story breaking, we received a lot of tips.

00:04:34.760 The People's Liberation Army supposedly was training pilots here in Red Deer,

00:04:39.140 actually just a few kilometers south of Red Deer at the now-closed CFB Penhold.

00:04:44.080 These Chinese nationals are actually staying in the old barracks here, right here in Springbrook.

00:04:49.160 Now, CFB Penhold specialized in long-range radar for NORAD.

00:04:53.700 Boy, wouldn't China like to know exactly what was going on here at that base?

00:04:57.300 Any sort of military secrets, I'm sure they'd be keen to learn.

00:05:00.720 Now, if they were sending spies here, would they be sending spies as military personnel,

00:05:03.940 or just personnel civilians, in fact, maybe learning pseudo-military tactics?

00:05:09.140 It's like flying planes.

00:05:10.460 Hi.

00:05:13.420 Do you want a feather?

00:05:14.700 Yeah, go ahead.

00:05:20.320 What are you guys all doing here?

00:05:22.400 Pilot training.

00:05:23.240 It's like pilot training?

00:05:24.360 Yeah.

00:05:24.680 Are you guys from...

00:05:25.520 Where are you guys from?

00:05:26.500 China.

00:05:27.180 China.

00:05:27.640 How long have you been here?

00:05:30.140 Around 500 days.

00:05:32.080 500 days, oh my gosh.

00:05:33.460 Is it just for like civilian training or you with the...

00:05:36.700 No, for the airlines.

00:05:39.180 500 days, holy man.

00:05:41.260 This...

00:05:42.060 Well, we were interviewed with this school.

00:05:45.320 They were telling us around 15 months or 18 months.

00:05:50.420 Yeah.

00:05:50.640 But right now, I'm already being around 500 days.

00:05:55.440 500 days.

00:05:56.280 And we have a group of students that are going back from home.

00:06:00.640 They spent 32 months here.

00:06:05.280 Wow.

00:06:06.360 So it's...

00:06:06.880 There's no...

00:06:07.720 Is there any military training?

00:06:09.600 I don't think so.

00:06:10.740 Not here.

00:06:11.620 No.

00:06:11.780 I think the nearest military training is in Cold Lake.

00:06:17.540 Yeah.

00:06:18.080 Yeah.

00:06:18.320 Not here.

00:06:19.420 Cool.

00:06:20.280 Well, thanks so much, guys.

00:06:21.560 Yeah.

00:06:22.200 Now, teaching Chinese nationals pseudo-military things like flying planes isn't like teaching

00:06:26.740 Chinese nationals how to, I don't know, bake a cake or build houses. 1.00

00:06:31.280 This kind of training directly impacts our national security.

00:06:34.880 They're learning how we fly planes.

00:06:36.380 They're learning how we fly our planes specifically.

00:06:38.700 And they're doing it at a closed-down Canadian forces base.

00:06:42.420 Why is that?

00:06:43.040 And why is Justin Trudeau okay with that?

00:06:45.300 Justin Trudeau actually wants to explicitly train the Chinese military, not just civilians,

00:06:49.820 in how to fight in cold weather.

00:06:52.560 He wants to train them in how to kill Canadians best in the winter. 0.92

00:06:56.340 Wow. 0.98

00:06:57.180 Pick a descriptor, folks.

00:06:58.980 Fascinating.

00:06:59.960 Inexplicable.

00:07:01.160 Maddening.

00:07:01.980 Or perhaps all of the above.

00:07:03.600 First, we learn that members of the Chinese army were learning how to wage war in cold

00:07:09.580 weather conditions.

00:07:11.080 And now we learn that Chinese nationals are learning how to fly planes right here in our

00:07:17.340 great dominion.

00:07:18.680 Oh, and they didn't covertly sneak into Canada like so many Patrick Browns sneaking into a 1.00

00:07:25.400 hockey rink.

00:07:25.940 Oh, no.

00:07:26.540 They were welcomed here with open arms by our very own Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. 0.95

00:07:32.360 Yeah, what the hell?

00:07:35.200 And joining me now with more on this incredible story is Kian Bexte.

00:07:39.940 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, my friend.

00:07:41.500 Thanks for having me, David.

00:07:42.580 Kian, it comes down to this.

00:07:44.560 We know from six years ago, Justin Trudeau, just before he became Prime Minister, he said

00:07:51.360 at a meeting in Toronto that China is the basic dictatorship that he has admiration for.

00:08:00.440 Why did he say that?

00:08:01.460 What I'm getting at is, what does he admire about this nation that is clearly the biggest

00:08:07.420 threat to world democracy right now?

00:08:11.120 I wouldn't even call China a nation.

00:08:12.980 It's this empire now that Justin Trudeau has adored because of their ability to subjugate

00:08:17.880 their people.

00:08:18.340 I mean, he's followed their tactics the whole way, from manipulating the media, not just

00:08:26.820 the CBC, but every newspaper in Canada now is basically on Trudeau's dole, changing the

00:08:33.520 electorate.

00:08:34.800 Xi Jinping, he's not voted into office like most people, and Justin Trudeau enjoys that

00:08:43.260 method of power.

00:08:45.720 It's something that Trudeau, since his father was in power, has enjoyed, using the power

00:08:52.220 of the state in Ontario to subjugate Alberta, for example, just like they're subjugating

00:08:57.900 in China, the Northwest.

00:08:59.620 So, Justin Trudeau admires China for all sorts of reasons, which makes me not surprised that 1.00

00:09:05.460 they're training a new generation of pilots here in, actually, Alberta, coincidentally.

00:09:10.720 But it shouldn't be surprising seeing how Trudeau has acted and conducted himself and enacted

00:09:18.300 government policy, both domestic and foreign, over the past five years.

00:09:22.280 And, you know, what I don't get, I mean, in fairness, these people that you met at the

00:09:28.220 base, they were not members of the People's Liberation Army.

00:09:31.980 They were Chinese nationals.

00:09:33.920 We presume they're civilians.

00:09:35.780 But here's what I don't get when you connect the dots.

00:09:38.740 Surely, China has air bases.

00:09:41.840 Surely, China has airplanes.

00:09:43.980 Surely, there are cold-weather regions of China where you can do cold-weather training.

00:09:48.680 Why are they here?

00:09:50.140 Yeah, that's a good question.

00:09:50.980 And, I mean, if you just assume nothing insidious is going on, you could say, well, maybe they're

00:09:57.340 coming here because they want to learn how to fly in English.

00:10:00.060 You know, the standard aviation language around the world is English.

00:10:02.920 So, I guess it's reasonable that they might want to come to an English-speaking country

00:10:06.980 to learn how to fly.

00:10:08.260 You might also say, well, China's airspace is super congested.

00:10:11.560 So, it's hard to just send a small plane up and just, you know, screw around for an hour

00:10:15.340 while you learn how to fly.

00:10:16.760 It's tough.

00:10:17.460 There's a market of airspace there, and it's tough to do it.

00:10:19.380 Canada has, conversely, a lot of airspace.

00:10:22.220 So, that's if you assume nothing insidious is going on.

00:10:24.700 But, it's China.

00:10:26.300 This isn't, you know, this isn't France with a busy airspace from the United Kingdom to,

00:10:32.900 you know, the east.

00:10:35.040 This is China.

00:10:36.740 And, there was a point, and I've said this before, there was a point in, like, the early

00:10:42.940 1900s when it was okay to deal with the Germans, and then all of a sudden, it wasn't. 0.67

00:10:49.540 And, this might seem innocuous, right?

00:10:52.380 Like, they're training pilots, right?

00:10:54.020 How bad is that?

00:10:54.960 But, it's not like training a new generation of bakers in China. 0.56

00:10:59.920 This is training people to fly heavy aircraft, our heavy aircraft, wherever China might want

00:11:07.100 them to do that.

00:11:08.040 Now, the difference between flying a plane, flying a 737 full of civilians, the difference 0.67

00:11:14.620 between that and flying it full of soldiers is really not that different.

00:11:18.040 And, Kian, even if they aren't members of the People's Liberation Army, how do we know 1.00

00:11:23.520 if all of these people, or I should rephrase that, how do we know that some of these people

00:11:30.380 aren't just spies?

00:11:32.520 No, we don't.

00:11:33.280 That's the whole problem, right?

00:11:34.340 Like, there's hundreds of them there.

00:11:35.760 And, hundreds of them have come and gone there.

00:11:37.900 I'm not sure the exact numbers of who's there right now, but one of these individuals said

00:11:42.440 that they've been there for 500 days.

00:11:44.820 Now, that means they're coming up on two years now.

00:11:47.400 Who takes two years in a different country to learn how to fly the aircraft that that

00:11:54.520 company, Monterey Aviation, is teaching them to fly?

00:11:58.020 It's very strange.

00:11:59.180 No, no, no, like, you just, not only is that a huge waste of your money, it just doesn't

00:12:03.420 take that long.

00:12:04.220 They're not getting a doctorate.

00:12:05.540 They're not getting a Jill Biden doctorate right now.

00:12:07.420 No, 100%.

00:12:08.420 And it's funny you mention that two years date, that is, of course, how long.

00:12:14.840 It's actually been two years and a bit that the two Michaels have remained hostages in

00:12:19.360 China.

00:12:20.120 You would wonder why, with two Canadian citizens being unlawfully detained, Kian, why we are 1.00

00:12:28.840 allowing any kind of normal relations with China to begin with?

00:12:33.180 Because Justin Trudeau doesn't care, right?

00:12:35.560 Like, it's not, this isn't just a matter of us allowing just what you would consider

00:12:43.440 generally, take Trudeau out of the equation.

00:12:45.400 China is a hostile nation. 0.98

00:12:46.960 They're acting in a hostile manner to our allies and to people who, you know, we're neutral

00:12:52.780 to at best, like Taiwan.

00:12:55.500 They're a hostile nation and we're training their people. 1.00

00:12:58.080 We're helping them.

00:12:58.680 And Justin Trudeau is standing at the sidelines looking at this saying, well, I don't see

00:13:03.660 anything wrong here.

00:13:04.720 It's just my friend Xi Jinping over there learning how to train a generation of pilots.

00:13:11.000 It's strange that he's not trying to intervene to stop this.

00:13:14.500 I feel like Aaron O'Toole, and I want to bring it, like, mention him a little bit because

00:13:18.080 I want to give him some, you know, I want to be grateful for what he's doing right now

00:13:23.660 a little bit because he's actually taking quite a hard line on China.

00:13:26.660 Saying that they are a threat, we need to recognize that the communists over there are an equal

00:13:31.880 threat to us as the USSR was to us back in the 1960s, 70s, 80s. 0.97

00:13:38.300 Oh, 100%.

00:13:39.160 And Kim, one last thing.

00:13:40.500 I get the impression that behind closed doors, the Chinese Communist Party in Beijing is having

00:13:46.800 a gut laugh.

00:13:47.820 The idea that they can send their troops into Canada for training.

00:13:51.540 The idea to see what's happening in the U.S. with the election.

00:13:56.660 And it's almost as though, you know what, we really don't have to wage war on a lot of

00:14:03.580 these Western nations. 0.97

00:14:04.680 We can just let them destroy themselves with their own ridiculous policy decisions. 1.00

00:14:08.940 No, yeah. 0.97

00:14:09.580 Canadians need a wake-up call, and they need it now, and Americans need the same one.

00:14:13.920 China is at war with us, not necessarily militaristically, but they are at war with us. 0.67

00:14:21.200 And they're winning.

00:14:22.720 They're winning on the culture front.

00:14:24.640 They're winning on the economic front.

00:14:28.000 And we're just standing by and letting it happen.

00:14:30.120 Justin Trudeau is, at least.

00:14:31.680 Yeah.

00:14:32.160 Unbelievable.

00:14:33.060 Well, Kian, once again, thank you so much for all this shoe-leather journalism you're doing, 0.76

00:14:38.700 going to these bases, going down to Spadina Avenue to check out Dominion Voting.

00:14:43.880 Certainly, hardly anyone else is doing this.

00:14:46.660 Yeah, when is the CBC going to run some expos?

00:14:49.620 Oh, I forgot.

00:14:50.440 If only.

00:14:50.960 They're in the government's pocket, as is so much of mainstream media.

00:14:54.980 There's another disgrace.

00:14:56.720 Folks, keep it here.

00:14:57.500 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:14:59.520 Let go! 0.99

00:15:06.880 Let go! 0.99

00:15:08.100 Let go! 0.99

00:15:09.780 Let go! 0.99

00:15:10.920 You're not going to sleep.

00:15:11.980 I didn't refuse to leave.

00:15:13.580 You did.

00:15:14.160 I did not.

00:15:15.160 You started taking your sweet time, so let's go.

00:15:17.680 So let's go.

00:15:18.460 I said, I had to smoke out because of my medical condition.

00:15:24.320 And you're willing to go!

00:15:25.440 Here in London, Ontario, I am at the White Oaks Mall.

00:15:33.840 For Rebel News, I'm Tamara Ugolini, bringing you a crazy mask enforcement story

00:15:41.320 that was lucky enough to be caught on camera by Andre Legos here on the fly.

00:15:49.220 The victim here was Audrey Pinnell.

00:15:56.180 And we're just going to do a quick little recap of what happened to Audrey.

00:16:02.580 This was a few days ago, a week ago now, Audrey?

00:16:05.180 Monday the 7th.

00:16:06.520 On Monday the 7th of December.

00:16:09.000 Now, can you just give us a brief overview, a rundown, of how this situation unfolded at

00:16:15.620 White Oaks Mall?

00:16:16.280 Okay, so I entered the building itself through Walmart doors.

00:16:22.860 I was asked at that point if I had a mask to put on.

00:16:26.620 I said, no, I have a medical exemption, but thank you for asking.

00:16:30.460 And they said, fine.

00:16:31.460 So I walked through.

00:16:32.640 I went out to the mall, walked to the back of the mall, was calling my friend to have coffee

00:16:38.740 and Cinnabon, we were hoping anyways.

00:16:41.340 Got to the back of the mall.

00:16:42.660 I had another security guard at that point approach me and told me that I needed to have

00:16:49.460 a mask on.

00:16:50.240 And I said, I'm sorry, but I have a medical exemption.

00:16:53.040 I can't wear one.

00:16:53.860 And he said, oh, okay, that's fine.

00:16:55.780 And he walked away.

00:16:57.180 So I'm on the phone talking.

00:16:58.840 I had another security guard, a small female, come up and she wanted to talk to me. 0.98

00:17:04.040 And I basically put her with the one minute finger saying that, you know, I was talking

00:17:09.160 to somebody.

00:17:10.380 As I finished up my conversation on the phone, I turned around and there was this huge man

00:17:14.300 with a badge shoved in my face telling me that I had to put a mask on.

00:17:20.760 I didn't know who he was.

00:17:22.800 I didn't even have a chance to read the badge.

00:17:25.780 I told him that I was medically exempt.

00:17:27.820 I couldn't wear a mask.

00:17:28.900 And he said, it doesn't matter.

00:17:29.840 You have to put one on.

00:17:30.620 Well, folks, yet again, another example of egregious customer service, thanks to that

00:17:36.780 clear and present threat that is the Wuhan virus.

00:17:40.560 But the woman who was manhandled and ejected from London's White Oaks Mall had a medical 0.84

00:17:46.920 exemption not to wear a mask.

00:17:50.560 So pray tell, why was that exemption not being honored in the first place?

00:17:55.660 And joining me now to discuss this latest awful case of face diaper enforcement is Tamara 1.00

00:18:03.660 Ugolini.

00:18:04.580 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, Tamara.

00:18:06.360 Thank you, David.

00:18:07.140 Happy to be here.

00:18:08.020 And I'm so happy to see you in the flesh, so to speak.

00:18:11.000 Tamara, I think this is another example.

00:18:14.240 And it's a continuing trend, isn't it?

00:18:16.480 Where a corporation, a gym, an airline, a condominium, you name it, they seem to believe that their

00:18:25.500 own internal corporate policy trumps the rule of law.

00:18:29.900 What's going on?

00:18:31.480 It seems like a great question, David.

00:18:33.820 As we see the progression for 2020 and on its way out, I mean, things just seem to be getting

00:18:40.120 more aggressive and enforced more aggressively.

00:18:43.800 So I'm not sure where the line gets drawn or where these corporations and establishments

00:18:50.780 get off creating their own arbitrary rules.

00:18:56.360 Hopefully with some more investigative reporting, we can get to the bottom of some of that.

00:19:00.260 You know, Tamara, is it a matter that some of the corporations out there and others who

00:19:05.840 are demanding mask compliance, are they hedging their bets?

00:19:11.460 What I mean by that, do they feel that if we tell this person to mask up or get out or

00:19:19.060 you'll be physically removed, they'll do so.

00:19:21.820 And probably in this hellacious year of 2020, they don't have the resources to hire a lawyer

00:19:26.380 and go after us.

00:19:28.040 So is it a matter of intimidation and counting on the person not having the resources to right

00:19:34.040 the wrong in the first place?

00:19:35.660 I mean, hard to say.

00:19:36.940 I think that there's just been so many changes with legislation and law and rules and guidelines

00:19:43.920 and mandates that no one knows what's what anymore.

00:19:47.860 Even the police seem to, you know, go back to the Emergency Measurement Act.

00:19:53.380 I think it was back from the summer.

00:19:55.540 But now everything falls under the Ontario, here in Ontario specifically, the Ontario Reopening

00:20:00.860 Act.

00:20:01.220 And law enforcement doesn't seem to even know that.

00:20:04.440 So that's the concerning part here is that things are being enforced, but they're not

00:20:09.580 really even sure what's being enforced and what the law says.

00:20:12.800 Yeah, that is disturbing.

00:20:14.480 And Tamara, the White Oaks Mall in London, Ontario, have they made any more comment on this incident

00:20:21.480 since you aired that video?

00:20:22.720 Yeah, so the mall management and the security company that works within that mall were not

00:20:30.100 keen on making a comment.

00:20:31.780 I do have some recordings.

00:20:34.060 The local police were kind enough to get back to me.

00:20:37.120 I have a few other clarification questions for them.

00:20:41.100 So I'm hoping to publish an updated report here soon, hopefully before Christmas, depending

00:20:47.060 again on the timeliness of their responses.

00:20:49.720 Yeah, and I should point out to the folks that if you are being slapped with some sort

00:20:57.460 of bylaw infraction, some kind of law enforcement ticket, geez, going back to the spring, we've

00:21:03.020 been running fightthefines.com.

00:21:05.440 Reach out, tell us your story, and we are going to crowdfund that as a criminal lawyer to take

00:21:11.940 up your case.

00:21:12.920 Because at the end of the day, Tamara, it comes down to this, pandemic or no pandemic, we

00:21:18.900 still have our charter rights.

00:21:21.400 And these kind of bylaws, these kind of political lockdown statements, they do not trump the

00:21:28.440 charter, do they?

00:21:29.500 Well, that's right.

00:21:30.100 And the sad thing here, too, is that a lot of these people with the mask enforcement that

00:21:35.220 I'm finding especially, is that there's no actual fines taking place here.

00:21:40.360 They're being threatened and they're being coerced, but there's no follow through with an actual

00:21:46.720 fine or a charge.

00:21:49.820 So that in itself is pretty questionable.

00:21:53.240 And the one last thing that we have to point out, it seems that certain types, and I'm talking

00:21:59.960 about security guards in malls, for instance, but not exclusively limited to that.

00:22:05.660 But it's almost as though they're getting emboldened.

00:22:08.980 We have covered stories in addition to what happened at White Oaks with physicality.

00:22:15.440 Joshua Walker, the Canadian Armed Forces man, who a week ago was at Upper Canada Mall and

00:22:21.800 basically got gang tackled for likening the security guards to Curly, Larry, and Moe, the

00:22:27.600 Three Stooges.

00:22:28.320 I'd wear that as a badge of honor, to be honest.

00:22:30.400 I'm a huge Three Stooges fan.

00:22:31.600 But it was such an overreach.

00:22:34.340 You have a story that's going to come out in a couple of days, I believe, of someone

00:22:39.660 who was actually tasered, tasered for non-mask compliance.

00:22:44.420 I mean, that's...

00:22:44.980 But he, no, he was wearing a mask.

00:22:46.940 And it's in a gym.

00:22:48.280 So there's gray area.

00:22:50.000 And the whole thing is just getting so outlandish.

00:22:55.540 It's so hard to keep track.

00:22:56.740 Myself, let alone the law enforcement and these, I call them mini-dictators at these

00:23:02.000 establishments.

00:23:02.960 Yeah.

00:23:03.420 I think, and you're right.

00:23:05.380 And it starts with the political process and our boss, Ezra Levent, he has said on many

00:23:10.220 occasions that one thing this pandemic has done is that certain bureaucrats, certain

00:23:16.280 politicians, certain elected leaders, and this is of every level, of every political stripe,

00:23:21.420 they've had a little taste of totalitarian power.

00:23:23.820 And you know what, Tamara, they kind of like the taste, don't they?

00:23:26.560 They sure seem to.

00:23:27.940 Yeah.

00:23:28.540 Unbelievable.

00:23:29.180 Well, there you have it, folks.

00:23:30.040 You have another egregious example of mask compliance.

00:23:33.360 And I have to tell you, I've said this since the pandemic kicked into overdrive earlier

00:23:38.640 this year.

00:23:39.720 2020, for me, is the most insane year I've been on this planet.

00:23:46.020 The only question is, there's, well, there's 13 days left until the end of 2020.

00:23:51.360 Have we reached peak insanity?

00:23:54.100 Who knows?

00:23:55.260 Keep it here.

00:23:55.880 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:24:02.900 David Menzies for Rebel News here in Pickering, Ontario.

00:24:07.000 And folks, I am with Joshua Walker and his girlfriend, Samantha Johnson.

00:24:12.460 And the reason I'm with the couple is that, well, you know, when you go to a shopping mall,

00:24:17.760 as this couple did last week, what do you expect to do?

00:24:21.280 Well, as the name would imply, do a little shopping, maybe grab a snack, go to a movie.

00:24:26.440 You sure don't expect to get tackled by a half dozen mall security guards, apparently for no reason.

00:24:35.100 And, Joshua, that is exactly what happened to you last week in Newmarket, Ontario.

00:24:40.620 You went to the Upper Canada Mall, I believe.

00:24:43.740 And, well, tell us a story.

00:24:45.580 I believe it all starts to unravel in the food court, correct?

00:24:51.100 Yes, that's correct.

00:24:53.100 We came in the mall to do a little Christmas shopping.

00:24:56.840 We were wearing our mask when we came in.

00:25:01.280 Fast forward to the food court.

00:25:03.000 We were hungry.

00:25:04.300 My girlfriend's pregnant, so we were all hungry.

00:25:07.440 And we bought some food at the food court.

00:25:11.580 And there was nothing that she wanted, so I bought some sushi and some teriyaki.

00:25:15.120 And she's allergic to sushi, so she goes, eat your sushi. 0.99

00:25:18.080 She made a joke, get away from me. 1.00

00:25:19.520 So she went to shop.

00:25:20.700 And I sat down, I just kind of blended in around the food court area where other people were already eating and sitting.

00:25:28.460 Actually, in fact, a gentleman in a wheelchair wheeled up shortly after I sat down, about six feet from me.

00:25:35.060 And he was eating his food as well.

00:25:36.140 A security guard came over and said, you can't eat here.

00:25:39.940 And he was directing the comments at you, not the other people.

00:25:42.800 Right towards me.

00:25:44.240 And, honestly, I chuckled just under my mask or under my breath.

00:25:48.820 I chuckled, and, you know, shortly after, you came out, Sam.

00:25:53.280 She came out of wherever she was.

00:25:56.500 And it was really funny to us because, honestly, stereotypically, you'd think, you know, the black man would be giving more attitude. 0.59

00:26:06.860 But the reason I'm saying it was funny is because the guy in the wheelchair, the Caucasian gentleman, a little bit lighter complexion, was actually giving the security attitude.

00:26:14.440 And so the security guard shifted his attention from me and started talking to him.

00:26:18.320 And then he would say, you can't eat here.

00:26:19.660 And the guy in the wheelchair said, well, if we can't eat here, then he just stops telling food in the food court.

00:26:25.200 Yeah.

00:26:25.740 What are you supposed to do?

00:26:26.600 Stand and eat it, I guess.

00:26:27.600 And I suppose that was the rule that there was no sitting down.

00:26:31.320 I guess it was for takeout only.

00:26:32.840 But, Joshua, you alluded to something I think is very important.

00:26:36.000 Do you think your skin color had something to do with this?

00:26:38.840 Do you think there was some sort of a racial targeting of you?

00:26:43.040 Because you mentioned there were other people in the food court.

00:26:45.800 And I presume you were the only black gentleman there?

00:26:49.160 I don't know, to be honest with you, if I was the only black gentleman there.

00:26:53.600 But I do know that there were other people eating.

00:26:56.040 And there was another Caucasian gentleman that I believe wasn't asked to leave the mall.

00:27:03.180 He, in fact, left his garbage.

00:27:04.340 And Sam said I picked up my garbage and threw it out, and we were complying with their request to leave.

00:27:09.020 We packed up our food, I took my soda, and we were leaving.

00:27:12.540 So, you know, regardless of the, I felt targeted, but it was kind of funny, a little bit funny to us

00:27:19.160 that the guy in the wheelchair was giving them attitude, and we just said, okay, we're out of here, you know? 0.93

00:27:25.200 Like, Sam took a bite of the food, and we put our masks on, and then we were leaving.

00:27:29.900 And Samantha, was that indeed what you happened upon when you came upon the food court?

00:27:34.500 Yeah, so when I came out, when I came out from shopping, because he was, like he said,

00:27:37.920 he was eating sushi, and I'm allergic to sushi, right?

00:27:39.960 So when I came back out, I had just came back out in time for this gentleman in the wheelchair

00:27:45.120 to actually be saying stuff to the security.

00:27:48.900 And again, we were laughing at it, because it was kind of funny.

00:27:50.980 Again, stereotypically, you know, you don't really see that often, right?

00:27:54.200 So, yeah, it was definitely alarming when they asked us to leave the premises over not eating,

00:28:00.160 or not, like, leaving eating the food, and it was just over that type of situation.

00:28:04.580 It was just crazy, because it's like, okay, fine, give us a warning or something,

00:28:08.960 and allow us to proceed to clean up and whatever else.

00:28:11.740 But they didn't even give us that opportunity.

00:28:13.240 It was straight, you have to leave the mall.

00:28:15.520 So this is very interesting, too.

00:28:17.000 This wasn't, you had wrapped up your shopping.

00:28:19.000 This was you leaving, because they said, I guess it's one strike and you're out

00:28:23.860 if you dare to sit down and eat some food in the food court.

00:28:27.140 Okay, so you're, at this point, there's a couple of security guards.

00:28:31.640 They are frog marching you out of the mall.

00:28:35.860 And folks, we have some video of this.

00:28:38.420 Let's just take a look at what went down. 1.00

00:28:43.420 Yo, you got the three fucking stooges here. 1.00

00:28:46.360 Curly, there's Curly. 1.00

00:28:47.680 Larry, I'm fucking Moe over there. 0.99

00:28:55.260 Don't put your hands on me, bro. 1.00

00:28:56.920 Don't put your hands on me.

00:28:58.720 Don't put your hands on me.

00:29:01.180 Don't put your hands on me.

00:29:02.940 Okay.

00:29:04.520 No, no, no.

00:29:06.580 Don't put your hands on me, bro. 1.00

00:29:08.660 What the fuck are you doing, bro? 1.00

00:29:10.280 No. 1.00

00:29:10.680 Don't put your hands on me.

00:29:11.960 Hey! 0.99

00:29:18.540 Hey! 0.99

00:29:19.180 Who cannot put your hands on him? 1.00

00:29:21.260 What the fuck are you doing, bro? 1.00

00:29:23.540 Stop! 1.00

00:29:24.240 What the fuck are you doing, bro? 1.00

00:29:25.340 What are you talking about? 1.00

00:29:26.540 We're leaving!

00:29:27.600 What a disgrace.

00:29:29.240 A man who is currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces gets tackled and roughed up by

00:29:33.960 mall cops and then gets criminally charged by the real cops.

00:29:38.940 And for what exactly?

00:29:40.600 For illegally eating a sandwich in a food court?

00:29:45.260 For comparing the security guards to Curly, Larry and Moe?

00:29:50.180 Are you kidding me?

00:29:51.840 Makes you wonder if Upper Canada Mall is actually located in the Dominion of Canada as opposed

00:29:56.860 to some Banana Republic dictatorship.

00:29:59.960 Again, what a disgrace.

00:30:01.940 And all in the name of keeping us safe from the Wuhan virus.

00:30:05.820 In any event, you had plenty to say about the egregious treatment Joshua Walker received

00:30:11.400 at the hands of some overzealous security guards.

00:30:16.060 Locker 186, Locker 186 writes,

00:30:18.640 I hate going out now, not because of fear of a virus with a 99% survival rate, 0.99

00:30:24.820 but because of the people slash idiots I encounter on my journey. 1.00

00:30:30.080 You know, I can't say I blame you, Locker 186. 1.00

00:30:32.740 I have almost zero fear when it comes to contracting the Wuhan virus.

00:30:38.380 Alas, dealing with power drunk COVID Karens, that's another matter entirely.

00:30:45.220 Emmylou Blue writes,

00:30:47.400 Maybe the mall cops didn't like being mocked by you, calling them the Three Stooges,

00:30:52.200 which they were.

00:30:53.480 Yeah, that's what kills me, Emmylou Blue,

00:30:55.780 is that being likened to the Three Stooges is so minor on the insult list,

00:31:02.080 it's absolutely astonishing that this remark triggered these guards in the first place.

00:31:08.300 Oh, and by the way, I'm a huge Three Stooges fan,

00:31:11.820 the best comedy ensemble in the history of mankind.

00:31:15.260 If you were to call me a member of the Three Stooges,

00:31:18.020 believe me, I'd wear that as a badge of honour.

00:31:21.780 Avril Williams writes,

00:31:23.080 Well, Avril, we are indeed crowdfunding Joshua's legal fees to get a measure of justice here.

00:31:43.420 And for anyone who would like to help out, please visit helpjoshua.com.

00:31:50.600 Appreciate that.

00:31:52.300 Colin Cooper writes,

00:31:54.280 If I was a store owner paying rent in this mall, I would be pissed and stop paying rent.

00:32:00.680 These security guards are driving customers out.

00:32:04.620 You know, that's a great point, Colin, especially these days.

00:32:07.740 These retailers need shoppers to come to the mall when it's open, that is.

00:32:12.860 They sure as heck don't want shoppers ejected from the mall 1.00

00:32:16.960 due to some security guards suffering from, oh, I don't know, hurt feelings?

00:32:22.540 Crazy.

00:32:24.300 And John Smith writes,

00:32:25.660 Well, you know, John, I'm very sorry to hear about your back problems

00:32:45.240 and that your child is suffering through cancer.

00:32:48.300 I hope you both get better soon.

00:32:49.980 And the way to deal with security guards who don't understand the rule of law

00:32:54.420 is to tell them to, well, find another profession.

00:32:58.360 Look, I'm sure security guards deal with plenty of people

00:33:01.480 on a daily basis that are looking for trouble.

00:33:05.480 But Joshua Walker was not one of those persons

00:33:08.420 and their behaviour was downright shameful.

00:33:11.980 Well, that wraps up another edition of Rebel Roundup.

00:33:14.580 Thanks so much for joining us.

00:33:15.820 See you next week.

00:33:16.500 And hey, folks, never forget, without risk, there can be no glory.

00:33:20.620 Good night.
