00:01:14.220 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you,

00:01:32.400 in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite Rebels.

00:01:37.480 I'm your host, David Menzies.

00:01:39.200 Well, this past Sunday, Riverside Cavalry Chapel in Langley

00:01:43.900 became one of at least three churches in British Columbia to offer in-person services,

00:01:50.840 despite Dr. Bonnie Henry banning services until at least December 7th.

00:01:57.360 And this little chapel was fined some $2,300.

00:02:01.620 Meanwhile, it was business as usual at the jam-packed Costcos and Walmarts down the road.

00:02:07.360 Jerea Humphrey shall try to make sense of it all.

00:02:11.300 And hey, just in time for Christmas, you're going to be getting yet another Rebel News show,

00:02:17.140 namely, Andrew Says, which I've been told is a zillion times better than Simon Says.

00:02:24.480 Host Andrew Chapados will drop by to tell us what we're all in for.

00:02:29.660 And letters, we get your letters.

00:02:31.280 We get them every minute of every day.

00:02:32.920 And you had plenty, and I mean plenty, to say about my video regarding the grotesque takedown of Adam Skelly,

00:02:41.720 the owner of Adamson Barbecue in Toronto, who simply wanted to operate a restaurant.

00:02:47.440 But Mayor John Tory and public health head honcho, Dr. Eileen Davila, well, they begged to differ.

00:02:53.800 So all the king's horses and all the king's men were sent in to shut down this beloved eatery

00:02:59.600 in what was surely a day of disgrace in Hogtown.

00:03:04.520 Those are your Rebels. Now let's round them up.

00:03:06.920 It seems like he's going to let us do our thing for today and just let us worship and then contact us later

00:03:18.280 if there's going to be any issues, which, glory to God, I'm super thankful that they're not just pulling a China move.

00:03:25.960 So as you can see behind me, even though the church has been told for now they're going to be left alone,

00:03:30.440 they will not be disturbing the service. There's more manpower here now.

00:03:35.120 I think there's about six or seven officers all in line Sunday morning during a church service.

00:03:41.740 You guys saw the signs plastered all over social distance here.

00:03:45.280 They've got the hand sanitizer out. It's not looking like a super spreader church to me.

00:03:51.100 But nevertheless, this is the most pressing crime, I guess, right now in Langley, B.C.

00:03:57.940 So what's the plan here today for the Christians?

00:04:00.340 We're just discussing that right now with my supervisor.

00:04:02.900 All right. So what did you tell them so far?

00:04:05.480 We didn't tell them anything so far. I just got some information from one of the contacts and that was as far as we went.

00:04:10.840 Right. I heard one of the things they said was, you know, not to interrupt a religious service.

00:04:16.180 Can you speak into that law at all?

00:04:17.620 I won't be answering any questions right now. I'll direct you to my supervisor, okay?

00:04:21.980 Okay. Sounds good. Is he here now or he or she?

00:04:24.540 Yes, one of them is here right now.

00:04:25.840 Oh, perfect. Thank you.

00:04:27.720 All right. So I'm just standing out here. See the officers are here.

00:04:30.840 Now you, sir, you've got a lot going on here. You've got blue gloves, rags.

00:04:35.480 So what's your job here today?

00:04:37.940 Today, I'm just trying to take care of all the, just cleaning for COVID.

00:04:42.280 Just making sure that this is a safe environment for everybody that's coming into the building.

00:04:46.160 We've been doing this all along.

00:04:47.620 We want to maintain all the protocols that are in place with distancing and all those types of things that are going on.

00:04:53.860 And this is just a big part of going around and keeping everything clean for people just so it's safe and we can keep any danger of COVID contact.

00:05:02.780 Now, as far as you know, has this location been tied to any outbreaks?

00:05:07.440 No, zero.

00:05:08.860 I think maybe you have a lot to do with that.

00:05:10.900 Possibly, yeah. It's got to help, at least. So, yeah. I just want to keep people safe.

00:05:20.900 So what's, uh, the police file number's on the top there, on the right top.

00:05:26.740 Okay.

00:05:27.240 Okay.

00:05:28.420 Is there anything else I need to know?

00:05:30.400 Uh, no. If you want to speed it, have these speeches on the back.

00:05:33.040 Okay.

00:05:33.540 Thank you, sir.

00:05:33.920 Okay.

00:05:34.380 Thank you.

00:05:35.080 Have a good day, guys.

00:05:35.780 You too.

00:05:36.300 Thank you.

00:05:36.780 No plus.

00:05:37.020 No plus.

00:05:37.440 Holy highway robbery.

00:05:40.280 It seems that it wasn't just the staff at the Riverside Cavalry Chapel in Langley, B.C. that were cleaning up last Sunday.

00:05:49.060 That's because local law enforcement was also cleaning up, as in fining the church some $2,500 by order of the Health Highness, Dr. Bonnie Henry.

00:06:01.620 And joining me now with more on this egregious story is Drea Humphrey. Welcome to Rebel Roundup, Drea.

00:06:09.960 Hi. Thanks for having me on this crazy, crazy, crazy segment.

00:06:14.440 It just gets crazier, doesn't it?

00:06:16.260 But Drea, right off the bat, the question arises, why can't this chapel open, yet the fitness facility next door can?

00:06:27.100 Why is it that hearing a church service is verboten, but British Columbians can shop till they drop at the local Costco?

00:06:35.780 How do you make sense of this?

00:06:37.240 You know, as soon as I got there, I got out of the car, and the first thing I saw, I didn't even have the camera or anything.

00:06:43.640 The first thing I saw was people with their mats walking into the yoga studio, and that's great.

00:06:49.400 I mean, what better way to stay healthy?

00:06:51.260 And I'm sure that Jim was practicing, you know, safety standards.

00:06:55.860 But how is Dr. Bonnie Henry rationalizing, allowing that to be open, and then shutting down, like you said, the chapel that does have certain rights that are supposed to be protected?

00:07:11.200 You know, there are some exceptions, but they actually have rights that are written in the Constitution for freedom of religious expression.

00:07:19.800 So, it just doesn't make any sense.

00:07:22.860 And then when you throw Costco into it, nearby where I live, there was a Superstore Black Friday sale that was out of the charts.

00:07:32.580 Unfortunately, I didn't get there.

00:07:34.040 I wasn't able to go when people were saying it, but I saw in groups online, people were saying,

00:07:37.580 oh, there's no social distancing happening, and, you know, they've got no taxes.

00:07:41.560 So, yeah, it's just not adding up.

00:07:44.580 And, you know, Drea, even if we don't dwell on the freedom of religion part of the Charter of Rights,

00:07:53.200 just looking, comparing apples to apples, as you know, last week, we covered what I thought was one of the sorriest chapters in Toronto's history, quite frankly.

00:08:03.980 A little Adamson barbecue literally being shut down by all the king's men and all the king's horses.

00:08:10.500 And yet, just a few hundred meters down the road, a Costco Superstore packed to the gills with, by the way, its own food service counter selling hot food.

00:08:22.640 You know, Drea, what I'm saying is that if this is all about science driving this, how is it that science says, yeah, a big box store is perfectly okay with hundreds and hundreds of people in it,

00:08:38.640 but a little restaurant, a little place of worship, oh, that's typhoid married territory. 0.99

00:08:45.260 Well, you know, I think a lot of it is just the data doesn't align up.

00:08:51.340 Dr. Bonnie Henry did say that it has been shown that places of worship have contributed to the spread of the virus.

00:08:59.560 But where is this data?

00:09:00.960 What places of worship and how does that compare to others?

00:09:05.260 So you have people listening to that and thinking that these places of worship are some super spreaders.

00:09:11.540 But as you saw in that report, that particular chapel has not been associated with a single outbreak,

00:09:18.940 which can be as small as one person, by the way, even if there is an outbreak.

00:09:24.800 And, you know, and then also in the Vancouver area, we have a bishop speaking out,

00:09:30.520 and he's speaking on behalf of over 70 parishes where not one has been linked to an outbreak.

00:09:37.440 So how is it that there's this collective punishment where a church can receive a $2,300 fine

00:09:45.820 for opening their place of worship to the community, mind you, with, I don't know if you saw how spaced out people were.

00:09:56.880 They were quite spaced out and also, you know, taking in consideration that COVID-19 is out

00:10:02.540 and that certain things should be done to prevent the spread of it.

00:10:06.860 You know, Drea, you said something very important there, and that is, where is the data?

00:10:12.400 If you were to go and ask Dr. Henry, where's the data?

00:10:17.040 You know, show me the beef.

00:10:18.640 What would she say?

00:10:19.920 I mean, are they releasing the data?

00:10:21.740 Because quite frankly, just like yourself, I'm not aware of places of worship of any faith

00:10:27.480 as being hotbeds of super spreader activity.

00:10:32.360 No, I mean, as far as I can tell, and I've looked very hard,

00:10:35.740 I have not been able to see where this is coming from.

00:10:41.280 I mean, we've heard of outbreaks from gyms in our area quite a bit,

00:10:44.820 and that's another reason why I did point out the gym.

00:10:47.820 So it definitely seems that gyms are spreading it more.

00:10:52.060 And then, yeah, we saw them get some restrictions in B.C. with the last order,

00:10:57.200 but they weren't completely shut down like religious gatherings.

00:11:00.660 The gyms' classes, like joint classes, have been stopped,

00:11:04.340 but you can still go work out at a gym.

00:11:06.440 Well, I can tell you, my local Costco in Richmond Hill,

00:11:09.100 with just about five clicks down the road from me,

00:11:12.000 the Costco there had an outbreak of six cases,

00:11:15.480 and as I understand it, it's just business as usual.

00:11:18.220 Well, I think if that was anything other than a Costco or a Walmart,

00:11:22.440 by law and law enforcement would come down like a papal bull.

00:11:28.140 But when you were speaking to the people at this place of worship, Drea,

00:11:34.340 what was their reaction having the police descend upon them,

00:11:39.380 giving them tickets?

00:11:40.940 These aren't people, you know, as the saying goes,

00:11:43.080 they're not going down to the bar wearing trouble on their shirt.

00:11:45.720 They're good people, they just want to peacefully worship.

00:11:49.800 I mean, how did they make sense of this when they were given these tickets?

00:11:57.460 You know, I think they were stunned to a certain extent,

00:12:00.340 but not completely surprised.

00:12:02.460 I think it's more of a surreal feeling.

00:12:04.620 And the reason I say that is because they were already warned before that Sunday,

00:12:09.320 contrary to what some of the local media made it sound like,

00:12:12.360 they were told by bylaw before that Sunday that they could expect to receive fines

00:12:18.720 and also that the attendees could expect to receive fines.

00:12:22.560 So everybody who walked into that church had been notified,

00:12:27.240 you know, by a church email.

00:12:29.560 And they knew what they were getting themselves into.

00:12:33.520 And I know the pastor, he also mentioned, you know,

00:12:37.120 there's more than one door, it's up to you which way you want to exit.

00:12:41.580 And, you know, he chose the front door,

00:12:45.200 which I thought was, you know, a statement in itself.

00:12:48.040 They didn't, you know, shame themselves and go out the back door.

00:12:51.580 Like, they are some sort of criminals.

00:12:53.320 They didn't hide that they're there to practice their religion.

00:12:57.580 They came out the front door, even if that meant they were going to get fined.

00:13:00.360 So, Drea, quickly, one last question.

00:13:02.900 What happens this coming Sunday?

00:13:05.220 Are they going to open under threat, I presume, of more tickets coming?

00:13:09.580 Or are they going to bend the knee and not have services?

00:13:13.440 You know, that's a good question.

00:13:14.560 The last I heard is still what you saw in the video,

00:13:17.820 is that when asked, you know, what exactly, what order are you acting on,

00:13:22.440 there is some issue with that.

00:13:24.760 Because it's been very difficult to find the official signed order.

00:13:30.560 It seems not to have been released or as easy to find

00:13:33.780 as all of the other signed orders that pertain to religious gatherings being closed.

00:13:39.280 So the officers did say that they were going to have to discuss with their legal team

00:13:44.240 what jurisdiction they had to be there.

00:13:47.340 So I don't know if they've got that answer or not,

00:13:50.980 but I have been checking, even checked today,

00:13:52.900 and I don't, I still can't find that signed order that really lays it all out.

00:13:58.300 So it's going to be very telling.

00:14:00.000 I'm going to go back Sunday and see, see what happens.

00:14:04.960 Gotcha.

00:14:05.180 Well, Drea, it was a great report.

00:14:06.440 And I guess we're going to find out one way or the other in less than 48 hours

00:14:10.200 how this is going to play out on Sunday.

00:14:12.260 So thank you so much.

00:14:13.500 And I'll just quickly say one more thing,

00:14:15.360 that if anybody is watching this from the Vancouver area,

00:14:20.280 the lower mainland area, and you are a church that is feeling led to be open,

00:14:25.340 Rebel News is prepared to fight your fines, help you fight your fines.

00:14:30.280 So just don't be stressed about that at all.

00:14:32.980 You can contact us and go to fightthefines.com.

00:14:38.000 Terrific.

00:14:38.800 Thank you so much, Drea.

00:14:39.880 Once again, a great report.

00:14:41.040 And you have a great weekend, my friend.

00:14:43.340 You too.

00:14:44.000 Bye.

00:14:44.220 Got it.

00:14:44.920 And that was Drea Humphrey in Vancouver.

00:14:47.260 Keep it here, folks.

00:14:48.280 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:14:56.060 Hey, Rebel News viewers.

00:14:57.560 Do you know there's going to be another show added to our stable,

00:15:01.260 which includes, of course, Rebel Roundup,

00:15:03.400 the fabulous gun show,

00:15:05.100 and, of course, the superb Ezra Levin show.

00:15:08.380 And guess what?

00:15:09.220 Starting tomorrow, there's a fourth show coming your way,

00:15:13.600 and it's not even on premium content.

00:15:15.760 How do you like that?

00:15:16.460 It is the Andrew Says Show, hosted by Andrew Chapados.

00:15:22.560 And that's who joins me right now.

00:15:24.640 So, Andrew, what's the deal with Andrew Says?

00:15:28.420 That sounds like a segment from a variety show.

00:15:30.500 What's the deal with Andrew Says?

00:15:32.420 Well, I've started a new show, Thank the Lord.

00:15:35.040 Thank the Lord of Ezra, I guess.

00:15:38.120 And it's been in the works for a few weeks now,

00:15:40.260 trying to get guests.

00:15:41.040 And our first guest is Dave Rubin from the Rubin Report,

00:15:44.360 which is a big deal in my eyes.

00:15:45.720 And it's essentially a long-form, almost a podcast conversation.

00:15:50.160 I think we went for 30 minutes is what we're going to shoot for for most of the episodes.

00:15:54.020 And we just talked about the state of political discourse.

00:15:56.460 We talked about Joe Biden.

00:15:57.880 We talked about media coverage of the election.

00:16:00.040 So, what you can expect is essentially just a regular conversation,

00:16:04.540 not unlike something you would see on the Daily Wire or Joe Rogan or something like that,

00:16:09.920 where I'm just talking to guests, getting their opinion on current events

00:16:12.820 and specific topics that you'll have to tune in to find out, David Menzies.

00:16:17.320 You know what?

00:16:18.080 And I will tune in, Andrew.

00:16:19.760 And from what you're telling me, it sounds like one of my favourite shows

00:16:23.300 that is on the Fox Network on Sundays at 8.

00:16:26.960 It is the Mark Levin Show.

00:16:28.980 And it's something that you don't see a lot of.

00:16:32.980 It is Mark Levin is the host and a guest.

00:16:36.280 And they sit down for an hour and have a civil discussion.

00:16:40.140 Mark asks a question and lets the guests speak.

00:16:42.760 And there's no interruptions, there's no distractions.

00:16:46.220 Is that the kind of show we're going to get with Andrew Says?

00:16:50.120 Exactly.

00:16:50.780 Less yelling than Mark Levin.

00:16:52.560 I can't yell for that long, David.

00:16:54.900 Oh, no, no.

00:16:55.700 His TV show is much different than his radio show, but continue.

00:16:59.340 But, yeah, that's what people have come to enjoy from newer media formats

00:17:03.500 like Rebel News on YouTube, where there isn't just, or our daily live streams,

00:17:07.800 where there isn't just small cuts, where all of a sudden we're out of time.

00:17:11.040 Sorry, once we get to the good stuff.

00:17:13.300 I let Dave Rubin talk about certain subjects.

00:17:15.720 He says whatever he wants.

00:17:17.400 And we get these true opinions on something.

00:17:19.960 And we get more facts than we would get in a five-minute video

00:17:22.720 or one of my own videos that may be between four to eight minutes long, let's say.

00:17:27.400 It really lets you flesh out the topics.

00:17:29.580 And, you know, if you're not familiar with him,

00:17:31.960 which you may not be with all the guests,

00:17:33.380 you really get a sense of what they're about

00:17:35.420 and what kind of views that they support.

00:17:37.420 And I take it you've already recorded the Dave Rubin interview.

00:17:40.960 How did it go?

00:17:41.560 It went great.

00:17:42.700 It's great to have somebody who I think is such a big name as the first guest.

00:17:46.480 It kind of helps get other guests, as you'll see afterwards.

00:17:50.720 We got some great people coming in the coming weeks.

00:17:53.160 And we had a great conversation about a lot about the types of media

00:17:57.660 that we see right now in the election coverage,

00:17:59.560 how they're saying there's no fraud at all,

00:18:02.140 there's nothing you can point to, 0.75

00:18:03.660 you're crazy if you actually want to talk about this stuff.

00:18:06.220 And the bias that's completely present in places like CNN, 0.68

00:18:10.680 where they just pretend like there's no political leanings at all.

00:18:13.600 You've got Chris Cuomo on with his brother making jokes,

00:18:17.500 the giant Q-tip comedy hour.

00:18:19.720 You've got Don Lemon crying.

00:18:21.520 You've got Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer basically being high-functioning androids.

00:18:27.300 You know, that sort of stuff.

00:18:28.200 And what's most apparent is in the reporting,

00:18:34.400 this point of view is completely ignored.

00:18:36.720 Like all the evidence in the election you're talking about,

00:18:39.280 it might not as well exist in their world.

00:18:43.260 It's just another thing that Trump's being crazy about

00:18:45.540 and Trump supporters are crazy about.

00:18:47.360 So you really get to dig into that stuff as we did with Dave Rubin.

00:18:51.440 And one of the other things we were able to talk about

00:18:53.540 is why so many conservatives are leaving places like California in the United States. 0.74

00:18:58.320 They're going to Texas.

00:18:59.700 New Yorkers are going maybe to Nashville or somewhere in the South

00:19:03.200 where there's less taxes, maybe more gun freedom,

00:19:06.020 and, you know, less terrible outcomes like a city like San Francisco would have,

00:19:11.320 where there's just bums and feces everywhere.

00:19:13.820 Yeah, no, I mean, it sounds very interesting.

00:19:15.720 And, you know, I share your fascination about what we've seen happen

00:19:21.200 in the United States on November 3rd and onward, Andrew.

00:19:25.400 Our colleague, I think, Kian Bexty, has done absolutely superb work

00:19:30.680 with the Dominion Voting Systems reporting.

00:19:33.500 With our shoestring budget, you know,

00:19:35.520 Kewin went down with Mocha to Spadina Avenue where it's located.

00:19:39.760 I'm astounded that there's not a media mob outside that building

00:19:45.040 with the liebys running.

00:19:46.880 This is, if the allegations are true of the voter fraud,

00:19:50.320 this makes Watergate look like a little white lie.

00:19:53.980 How do you explain this idea of the media party going,

00:19:57.880 hmm, no story here?

00:19:59.580 It's because this is what they hoped the outcome would be.

00:20:02.660 And then they position it as if, oh, we're all going back to normal now.

00:20:05.720 Now that Trump's gone, we can just go back to normal.

00:20:08.060 And that was the media's plan all along.

00:20:10.160 And the Democrat Party is to make things as chaotic as possible,

00:20:13.880 make a mountain out of every molehill possible,

00:20:16.320 whether it's a nomination for a Supreme Court or a district judge

00:20:20.640 or, you know, him firing an individual from his staff,

00:20:24.260 like Scaramucci or something, for example, or Omarosa.

00:20:27.640 Every little thing is chaotic so that when Trump is gone,

00:20:31.800 we can say, hey, things are back to normal now, David.

00:20:34.100 And I think if the shoe were on the other foot,

00:20:35.940 there would be media outside of every single Dominion voting place.

00:20:40.440 In Germany, they'd be talking about how it was used in Venezuelan elections.

00:20:45.700 And not to mention the simple fact that in American election,

00:20:49.600 their votes are being counted in foreign countries,

00:20:52.080 which should make no sense for any country.

00:20:54.840 You should not have a foreign entity counting your votes. 1.00

00:20:58.560 It's a fascinating story, and I'm fascinated by how overlooked and underreported it is.

00:21:04.520 But I guess I really shouldn't be,

00:21:06.340 since we've seen what's happened to the mainstream media in the last several years.

00:21:10.960 You know, Andrew, what I like about your interview style is you are one cool cucumber.

00:21:16.760 You know, when it comes to being under pressure.

00:21:20.420 In fact, we're not going to show a clip of tomorrow's show with Dave Rubin,

00:21:24.620 but we're going to show a clip of what happened back in June at Nathan Phillips Square.

00:21:28.220 I thought this was maybe the best and perhaps the most important video we ever did at Rebel News.

00:21:34.400 It was us reclaiming Nathan Phillips Square from a bunch of thugs called Afro-Indigenous Rising. 1.00

00:21:39.800 And Andrew says was the first one on the scene.

00:21:45.040 And wow, talk about an interview going off the tracks,

00:21:48.080 not because of anything Andrew did, but because of running into a bunch of hostiles.

00:21:52.700 Check it out.

00:21:53.920 So we've established basically our own miniature society here.

00:21:58.020 I'm not sure what the point is.

00:22:02.580 Ma'am, you want to do an interview? 0.91

00:22:04.380 Uh, I'm all right.

00:22:07.240 We're just asking.

00:22:11.120 You want to do an interview, sir?

00:22:12.880 Where are you guys from?

00:22:14.120 Just the YouTube.

00:22:15.340 YouTube for what?

00:22:16.280 For myself.

00:22:17.480 Yeah.

00:22:18.900 We're at City Hall.

00:22:20.160 What are you doing here?

00:22:20.800 We're at City Hall.

00:22:21.680 It's public property.

00:22:22.380 Don't touch him.

00:22:23.320 Don't touch me.

00:22:24.180 Don't touch me.

00:22:24.640 Don't do that, bro. 0.63

00:22:25.240 Get out of our cabinet.

00:22:26.580 Why are you here?

00:22:27.540 Why are you here?

00:22:28.240 You're not relevant.

00:22:28.700 We're just interviewing, bro.

00:22:30.260 Yeah.

00:22:30.780 Yo, don't touch him, man.

00:22:32.000 Don't touch me again.

00:22:35.680 Yo, don't put your hand on people like that, bro.

00:22:39.180 Just came here to see what's going on.

00:22:40.720 You guys are getting violent right away.

00:22:42.160 No, you didn't even ask.

00:22:43.380 You didn't even ask.

00:22:45.320 No one's getting violent.

00:22:46.580 You're not violent.

00:22:47.420 That wasn't violent?

00:22:48.440 First of all, entering into the space is violent without...

00:22:52.380 Okay.

00:22:53.020 Walking places isn't violent.

00:22:54.920 But you know an encampment's here and you just came, so...

00:22:57.860 An encampment?

00:22:58.500 You're on public property.

00:22:59.380 I don't understand.

00:23:00.360 In fact, you're at City Hall.

00:23:01.580 So that was really incredible.

00:23:03.560 I mean, you know, and this really, this is really something the mainstream media never

00:23:08.240 runs into, which we do as rebels, that somehow there's this idea, Andrew, that if they don't

00:23:15.500 like the media outlet or they don't like the line of questions or they simply don't like

00:23:20.280 you, the cut of your jib, if you will, they use violence.

00:23:25.400 It's not even a debate anymore.

00:23:27.000 What are your thoughts going back to that day when you encountered that mob?

00:23:31.980 The first thing that I think of is how do these people think that they have a right to

00:23:36.400 tell anybody who comes and goes on the property?

00:23:39.180 One of the things that they mentioned was that, well, the other media outlets, they come to

00:23:43.660 us in advance and they tell us what they want to interview us about and they ask us their

00:23:47.420 permission. 0.97

00:23:48.100 And I'm just thinking, well, crappy journalists. 0.92

00:23:50.280 You're just going to let the subject of your interview, who's squatting on public property, 0.86

00:23:54.640 tell you where you can and cannot go, because what's going to happen?

00:23:57.980 They're going to not like you.

00:23:59.040 They're not on your side anyways.

00:24:01.820 Communist anarchists do not care for the media anyways.

00:24:05.220 So one person at the beginning tells me that I'm intruding on people's homes and their right

00:24:11.660 to privacy while these are tents in Nathan Phillips Square.

00:24:14.720 Another person tells me that I'm making myself look silly by talking to his camera as he's

00:24:20.460 trying to live stream to, I don't know, two people.

00:24:22.140 You can see there that these girls try to block us from walking. 1.00

00:24:27.140 And I think there's those rare moments where you know you're getting through to people.

00:24:31.560 You can see, if you can see their eyes, there's something going on there.

00:24:34.880 And particularly these two girls that were there.

00:24:36.900 And I said, girls, is this really what you want to do?

00:24:39.760 You want to be part of a group that tries to bully people off of public property and tell

00:24:43.560 them they can't go places?

00:24:45.080 Because what were they going to do?

00:24:45.880 They weren't going to physically stop me from walking and filming a sign.

00:24:48.900 And then the only method of recourse they had, David, was to surround me and tell me that

00:24:53.980 I was on stolen land until it started pouring rain.

00:24:57.700 And then, of course, many of them checked into the Sheridan Hotel.

00:25:01.700 Exactly.

00:25:02.160 That's something that people forget, too.

00:25:03.920 That these activists who are, you know, they're out there doing it for the people.

00:25:08.480 And they're totally not just getting GoFundMe from left-leaning individuals who are driving

00:25:14.300 Mercedes, like the ones that yell at you when they drove by, if you remember that part.

00:25:18.020 They're staying at their, how much is it at night, David?

00:25:20.840 I believe it was $277.

00:25:23.460 That's where the rates start.

00:25:25.000 They're very good.

00:25:26.020 And that's just across the street.

00:25:27.360 So during daylight, you're protesting, you're fighting the man.

00:25:31.300 At night, you're sleeping in his quarters.

00:25:33.460 You got it.

00:25:34.000 Tell me, Andrew, if you were given the opportunity to interview anyone in the world, either present

00:25:40.620 or past, who would you choose?

00:25:43.500 Well, I think your answer would be Elvis, first of all.

00:25:46.280 No, it would not be.

00:25:47.640 It wouldn't be?

00:25:49.000 I think, obviously, I would have to pick Trump right now, a world leader right now, whether

00:25:54.580 it's Justin Trudeau or Donald Trump or even Doug Ford at this point, just because, and

00:26:00.760 I'd probably go for somebody I'd disagree with first, because somebody like Doug Ford

00:26:04.820 or Justin Trudeau never has to actually answer tough questions.

00:26:08.360 They never even have them in the vicinity of difficult pose their way.

00:26:12.180 They can either just not have these people called upon at all, or in the case of Doug

00:26:16.220 Ford, I got a doctor or an MP behind me that I can shove under the forefront to get these

00:26:23.160 questions answered.

00:26:24.300 So, if I have to choose one person, I guess it would be Justin Trudeau right now.

00:26:28.740 Really, you know what?

00:26:29.680 That is fascinating.

00:26:30.960 I think I'm more simpatical with your first choice, Donald Trump.

00:26:34.760 I think that would make for a great interview.

00:26:37.660 I think if I was looking at anyone who is deceased, my pick right now, because of the way the year

00:26:42.920 has gone, Andrew, is George Orwell.

00:26:45.080 I would love to have seen, I mean, remember he wrote 1984 in, it was published in 1948,

00:26:53.260 so it was just reversing the digits, and then died just a few years after that.

00:26:57.640 I would love to get George Orwell's take on what we've been going through with this pandemic,

00:27:03.220 because it has been a very Orwellian time in the last several months, wouldn't you say?

00:27:09.900 Oh, for sure.

00:27:10.520 And a lot of the things, I've been saying this for a while, that a lot of the things

00:27:13.660 that were conspiracies just in March and April have come true in terms of masking and lockdowns

00:27:18.960 and shutdowns.

00:27:19.780 I'm hoping that a lot of it isn't part of some grand scheme that we've been hearing about.

00:27:23.980 I mean, even though the Prime Minister mentions great resets and stuff like that, and building

00:27:28.840 back better is a theme all around the world, I kind of am hoping that it's just some sort

00:27:33.000 of crooked payout that people are getting, and not some sort of worldly communist takeover,

00:27:37.220 David.

00:27:37.520 Well, we shall see.

00:27:38.260 How about we end it on this?

00:27:39.480 You have interviewed many people.

00:27:42.060 Your worst interview ever?

00:27:44.140 Of an individual person?

00:27:47.720 That's a tough, can I count you as a...

00:27:49.940 Yes, you may.

00:27:51.300 I'll take one for the team.

00:27:52.740 No, David, I can't do that to you.

00:27:54.540 It's got to be one of these people at these protests who can't, you know, they can't take

00:27:58.820 an argument.

00:27:59.460 We can go with the person at that very protest.

00:28:01.840 The guy who has turned out to be a security guard for Garda World, the tall black guy with

00:28:06.340 cornrows, he looked at me and he's like, you have to listen to what I say.

00:28:10.820 And then he said what he wanted to say.

00:28:12.380 And then I'm like, all right, how about this?

00:28:13.860 He's like, oh, no, there can't be any discussion about it.

00:28:16.300 So you can, I can tell you anything that I want and tell you that you're on stolen land,

00:28:20.880 but you can't ask me any questions about it.

00:28:23.440 And that's just a nice bow tie on 2020, isn't it, David?

00:28:26.380 Well, you know, I'll tell you, you got off easy.

00:28:28.120 He made mother jokes when he was talking to me.

00:28:30.920 Which is so mature.

00:28:32.500 For me, by the way, if you're interested, it was in 1986.

00:28:36.900 James Doohan, who played Scotty in the original Star Trek.

00:28:40.480 I interviewed him in Edmonton.

00:28:42.760 It was the most soul-destroying experience of my life, folks.

00:28:46.520 I was a huge, huge Star Trek fan.

00:28:48.440 I had read every behind-the-scenes Star Trek book.

00:28:51.680 And he was so mean to me, so mean.

00:28:55.000 Which character was he?

00:28:55.920 He was Scotty, the engineer.

00:28:57.820 Oh, so he was doing a Scottish accent?

00:29:00.180 No, that was just a put-on accent.

00:29:02.040 Oh, nice.

00:29:02.780 And I'll tell you, he was so cruel to me that when he had a teaser poster for Star Trek IV,

00:29:09.000 and I said, by the way, can you give us any idea what it's about?

00:29:12.620 And he said, just tell your readers it's about whales.

00:29:15.460 And I was so sure he was taking the piss out of me.

00:29:18.000 I didn't put that in my article.

00:29:20.080 It was about whales.

00:29:21.780 What a guy.

00:29:22.340 Anyways, these are the things we remember.

00:29:24.180 But you know what?

00:29:25.200 As they say, you look back after the passage of time, and you get a laugh, don't you?

00:29:29.900 Especially when you realize that the first Star Trek movie of the next generation in the early 90s,

00:29:34.480 in the beginning, it has Whoopi Goldberg.

00:29:36.760 In case you didn't know that, David.

00:29:38.140 Oh, no, I didn't know she was on that.

00:29:39.540 Guyon.

00:29:40.280 I don't know.

00:29:41.400 I tried to watch the first half of the movie, and I couldn't.

00:29:44.200 I mean, they lost all the old characters in space somewhere.

00:29:47.260 There was a random explosion.

00:29:48.460 Whoopi Goldberg shows up.

00:29:50.260 You lose me there most of the time.

00:29:51.180 Well, that was the reason James Doohan was so miserable to me,

00:29:54.640 is that there was a tiny wire story, three paragraphs long, on the Edmonton Journal front page,

00:30:01.300 and it was about a new show coming next year called Star Trek The Next Generation.

00:30:05.980 And my opening question was, what do you know about this?

00:30:08.460 And he says, not a bloody lot. 0.95

00:30:10.180 I've been on the phone all morning with my bloody agent. 0.72

00:30:12.500 He was really upset about getting cut out of the new show.

00:30:15.120 But anyways.

00:30:15.800 What do they expect?

00:30:16.640 Are you going to stay on for another 20 years?

00:30:18.200 Why get mad at me?

00:30:19.180 I'm not the producer of Star Trek The Next Generation.

00:30:21.380 Is there a video of this interview?

00:30:22.520 No, thank God there isn't.

00:30:23.940 And if there was, it would be taught in journalism school how not to do an interview.

00:30:27.860 Folks, tune in to Andrew Says, the newest show.

00:30:31.940 He's a great guy, great interviewer.

00:30:33.980 You're going to enjoy it.

00:30:34.980 Tomorrow.

00:30:36.360 At 2 p.m. Eastern?

00:30:37.820 Yes, Eastern time.

00:30:39.000 There you go.

00:30:39.700 Don't you dare miss it, as Billy Red Lions used to say.

00:30:42.880 Keep it here.

00:30:43.500 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:31:03.740 Everybody coming!

00:31:06.140 Be careful, be careful, be careful.

00:31:12.400 It's open!

00:31:13.480 It's over.

00:31:14.020 It's over.

00:31:15.020 Go, go, go! 1.00

00:31:16.200 Come here, bitches. 1.00

00:31:17.520 Go, fucking home! 1.00

00:31:22.820 Let me get some breath first. 1.00

00:31:29.120 Yeah!

00:31:29.800 Yeah!

00:31:29.900 Yeah!

00:31:33.220 All right, Pedro, let's get some meat in. 0.78

00:31:34.980 Let's start feeding these people. 1.00

00:31:36.080 That was the most fucked up shit I've ever got on camera. 1.00

00:31:37.000 That's amazing. 1.00

00:31:37.540 Fucking heart. 0.99

00:31:38.300 Go, P.s, you better leave! 1.00

00:31:40.260 Go, fucking home! 1.00

00:31:41.300 You're going to get fucked up! 1.00

00:31:42.600 I don't know what I'm trying to do here. 1.00

00:31:46.320 These piggies better stand down. 1.00

00:31:48.060 They're going to get fucked up. 1.00

00:31:49.060 Piggies, you better stand down! 1.00

00:31:52.160 God is watching you! 0.96

00:31:53.580 You better stand down! 1.00

00:31:55.200 Fucking watching. 1.00

00:31:56.320 They ain't better. 1.00

00:31:56.860 They're just getting themselves in more and more trouble by the second.

00:32:01.300 This is what United Noncompliance looks like. 1.00

00:32:05.700 What everybody from all walks of life realizes that this is full of shit and they can't do anything. 0.99

00:32:10.400 Look, we're here. 1.00

00:32:11.180 We're inside.

00:32:11.900 I'm going to start cooking.

00:32:12.780 You want something?

00:32:13.360 I'm going to make you some food right now.

00:32:18.680 Go, go, go, go, go!

00:32:24.800 You got no more.

00:32:25.960 We're going to do what we have to do.

00:32:27.620 You don't believe in this.

00:32:33.320 Well, folks, it's coming up for 12.30 and just about five minutes ago, we had the door that was locked down by the city actually smashed open from the inside out.

00:32:43.960 And then all hell broke loose.

00:32:45.880 A lot of people here tried to cram themselves into the restaurant.

00:32:49.900 They tried to ид to the country. 0.97

00:32:57.180 You got the door.

00:32:58.120 There it is.

00:33:01.300 You gotta go!

00:33:05.460 He's a hero!

00:33:07.460 He's a hero!

00:33:09.460 He's a hero!

00:33:11.460 Where's he going?

00:33:13.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:15.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:17.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:23.460 Fucking bitch! 1.00

00:33:25.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:27.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:29.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:31.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:33.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:35.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:37.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:39.460 Shame on you! 1.00

00:33:41.460 Shame on these police!

00:33:43.460 Look at what you think started now!

00:33:45.460 You're a hero.

00:33:47.460 I love you guys.

00:33:49.460 Move! 0.97

00:33:51.460 Get back! 0.96

00:33:53.460 Small business!

00:33:55.460 Small business!

00:33:57.460 Oh

00:34:27.460 We need this fire, we need this fire, get back, get back, he's gonna move wrist, bro.

00:34:42.460 Shame, shame, shame, shame, he's a hero, this is a hero.

00:34:56.460 God bless you, God bless you.

00:34:58.460 God bless you, God bless you. 1.00

00:35:00.460 You fucking Gestapo bastards. 1.00

00:35:02.460 You should be ashamed of yourself. 1.00

00:35:04.460 Go back to Nazi Germany. 1.00

00:35:06.460 What the hell are you doing? 0.99

00:35:08.460 Watch out, watch out. 0.99

00:35:10.460 God is with you.

00:35:11.460 Good job, guys.

00:35:12.460 God bless you, man.

00:35:18.460 Well that was the scene at Adamson Barbecue in West End Toronto last Thursday.

00:35:23.460 Complete and utter chaos.

00:35:26.460 In fact, given the enormous police presence, if you had happened upon the scene uninformed,

00:35:31.460 you would have thought that there was an active shooter on the premises or maybe this was a terrorist situation.

00:35:38.460 It was neither, of course.

00:35:40.460 It was all about a restaurateur trying to cook up some brisket.

00:35:46.460 And for whatever reason, you just cannot do that in John Tory's Toronto.

00:35:52.460 In any event, you had plenty to say about Adam Skelly and the Great Canadian Barbecue Rebellion

00:35:58.460 that was brutally quashed because, well, Adamson Barbecue is not a retailer with special privileges like,

00:36:06.460 oh I don't know, Walmart or Costco.

00:36:08.460 Travis Misao writes,

00:36:11.460 they wouldn't go and arrest BLM and Antifa like that.

00:36:15.460 No, they would not.

00:36:16.460 And if you were to shut down the railway tracks in the name of climate justice or indigenous land claims,

00:36:23.460 that sort of criminal activity would be allowed to linger for several weeks.

00:36:28.460 How did we suddenly find ourselves, folks, living in a society that truly embraces a two-tier justice system?

00:36:37.460 John Neal Bunting writes,

00:36:39.460 murders, rapes, pedos all over Toronto. 0.93

00:36:42.460 But the whole force is here. 0.73

00:36:45.460 Look at the force used.

00:36:47.460 You would think Adamson is a mass murderer.

00:36:50.460 You know, I agree, John.

00:36:51.460 This was overkill on behalf of the authorities.

00:36:55.460 But that was the point.

00:36:57.460 Mayor John Tory's worst nightmare would have been for dozens or even hundreds of businesses to follow suit.

00:37:04.460 This was his message to other entrepreneurs that if you dare open your shop,

00:37:10.460 get ready for all the king's horses and all the king's men to descend upon your store

00:37:15.460 and haul you away handcuffed inside a police cruiser.

00:37:19.460 Mayor Tory, that was a disgrace.

00:37:22.460 Jordana writes,

00:37:24.460 This is about the Great Reset.

00:37:27.460 The politicians are admitting it.

00:37:28.460 Well, Jordana, if the Great Reset means living in a city without getting to enjoy the best brisket this side of Texas,

00:37:37.460 I want no part of it.

00:37:39.460 Serendipity Me writes,

00:37:42.460 OMG, he's a father of young children.

00:37:44.460 This is beyond diabolical.

00:37:46.460 God help us.

00:37:47.460 Yes, and Adam Scali doesn't want a handout, folks.

00:37:50.460 He just wants to serve food and make an honest living.

00:37:54.460 You know, just like the Costco is doing.

00:37:57.460 The Costco that is situated a mere 400 metres or so away from his restaurant.

00:38:02.460 But yet again, if this pandemic has proven anything in 2020,

00:38:07.460 it is this old adage.

00:38:09.460 One law for thee and one law for me.

00:38:12.460 NJ writes, 0.95

00:38:13.460 We are all in this together, say the liars.

00:38:17.460 But they are all in on this together.

00:38:20.460 Indeed, NJ, I think the phrase, we are all in this together, has now knocked off the phrase,

00:38:27.460 the check is in the mail, as the greatest lie ever uttered.

00:38:31.460 And Gayla's Great Danes and Manes writes,

00:38:34.460 When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.

00:38:38.460 Thomas Jefferson.

00:38:39.460 You know, but that's the thing Gayla. 0.95

00:38:42.460 Where is the rebellion?

00:38:44.460 A rebellion cannot be just one man defying draconian laws.

00:38:49.460 It would have been fantastic if other retailers had followed Adam's lead

00:38:54.460 and had opened their doors as well.

00:38:56.460 But obviously anyone who was thinking about that sort of civil disobedience

00:39:02.460 had second thoughts once the city used a bazooka to eradicate a flea.

00:39:08.460 What we saw last week was one of the most shameful days in Toronto's history.

00:39:13.460 And Mayor Tory, the pretend conservative with the fragile ego,

00:39:18.460 he should be downright embarrassed about ever showing his face in public.

00:39:24.460 It was that much of a disgrace, folks.

00:39:26.460 Well, that wraps up another edition of Rebel Roundup.

00:39:29.460 Thanks so much for joining us.

00:39:30.460 See you next week.

00:39:31.460 And hey folks, never forget, without risk, there can be no glory.

00:39:35.460 Good night.

00:39:36.460 Bye bye.

00:39:37.460 Bye bye.

00:39:38.460 Bye bye.

00:39:39.460 Bye bye.

00:39:40.460 Bye bye.

00:39:41.460 See you next week.

00:39:42.460 Bye bye.
