Rebel News Podcast - DAILY Roundup ｜ Facebook blocks news in Canada, NHL cancels Pride jerseys, Toronto's next mayor

00:00:00.000 good afternoon ladies and gentlemen you have tuned into the daily roundup on this

00:00:19.480 a friday june 23rd 2023 i'm david menzies and my co-host well folks let me tell you a little

00:00:29.140 bit about my co-host do you know that today is international woman in engineering day and my

00:00:38.280 co-host will not be celebrating that because a she's not an engineer and seriously in 2023

00:00:44.880 what's a woman she is the she devil with a spatula she is the khaleesi of bc she is drea humphrey how 0.96

00:00:54.380 you doing there drea good is it bad that i never get tired of your grandiose introduction of me i 0.97

00:01:02.100 don't know what that says about me but i'm doing good happy to be here and chat up the daily news

00:01:07.240 with you today well and you know what there is so much news to get to if only i had my sheet with me

00:01:14.920 which i forgot but i i kind of know what we are talking about there's uh especially some very good

00:01:21.220 news on the trans sanity front in terms of little victories here and there and maybe a big victory

00:01:28.140 on the nhl front if you're a hockey fan um but in the meantime drea what is it that we are trying to

00:01:35.440 do for the next one hour yes it's going to be a jam-packed show so tune in for the whole thing it's so

00:01:42.620 jam-packed we had to omit news on rachel gilmore which i'm so excited about i said her name anyways but

00:01:50.920 yeah if you're joining us and you don't know what this is this is the daily roundup where rebel news

00:01:57.380 reporters get together and talk over the latest current events and you can be a part of that show

00:02:04.240 you can do something called live chat on the freedom of speech platforms called rumble and odyssey if you

00:02:11.620 go there and you want to comment on anything that we're saying or even add to it to make the public more

00:02:17.740 aware of something you can donate five dollars or more towards the many costs involved in running

00:02:23.180 rebel news and then we do our best to read it and make that part of the show so please um join in it's

00:02:29.500 really fun to get to know you guys better and uh yeah what's the first item on the menu well you know

00:02:36.920 what uh by the way in in terms of rachel gilmore can we make her going forward like that harry potter 0.99

00:02:43.120 uh character voldemort uh she whose name we dare not say uh i mean she's nobody's nothing she's not

00:02:50.600 even gainfully employed as a journalist but the left keep propping her up as a victim folks you know the 0.98

00:02:56.640 uh the drill uh if someone like a gilmore gets a mean tweet uh it's a cause celeb if um staffers on rebel

00:03:06.120 news actually get physically beaten whether it's uh black faces royal canadian mounted henchmen or

00:03:12.820 antifa or some trans activists uh self-identifying as a violent thug oh nothing to see here it's uh 0.96

00:03:21.160 just um bruises and cuts and uh what have you what a disgrace so speaking of uh trans sanity why don't 1.00

00:03:28.740 we um i was so happy to wake up to this news uh being somewhat of a hockey fan not as much as i used

00:03:35.060 to be drea um thanks to the wokeism but here is something i think as a step in the right direction

00:03:43.620 the nhl is doing away with those awful pride jerseys other specialty cause uniforms uh in terms of uh the

00:03:54.460 warm-ups because basically all this uh so-called inclusion it rebounded as bad publicity for the nhl you

00:04:02.000 had um some hockey players i'm thinking of james reimer the goalie at the san jose sharks a devout

00:04:08.480 christian saying this is not in line with my beliefs so instead of something to celebrate um this became

00:04:15.300 a bone of contention this became a lightning rod of controversy and drea here's where i weigh in and i

00:04:21.540 don't care if you're on pro you know rainbow jerseys or anti rainbow jerseys at the end of the day

00:04:30.780 whether it's hockey football basketball baseball i and i would suggest 99.9 percent of the people

00:04:40.940 tuning in to these broadcasts or going in person to watch them as spectators we are seeking escapism

00:04:49.500 you know sports is the toy department of life like movies we don't want any agenda

00:04:57.620 shoved down our throats and we don't want any innuendo that unless you get up and give a standing ovation 0.94

00:05:05.520 for that fat drag queen performing uh during the second period intermission you are a bigot a hater 0.98

00:05:12.100 a transphobe i think the nhl has got the message uh ratings for all the major sports as i understand 0.97

00:05:19.580 it drea they're down and these sports leagues i mean that's their bread and butter that's their 0.83

00:05:26.660 livelihood as always fall to money so if we can take this activism crap out of sports and return it

00:05:33.800 to what it once was a place where i go to escape for three hours i say bravo drea that's exactly you

00:05:41.280 hit it on the nail there the problem is the politicization of pride it's not the communities

00:05:47.180 that pride is about it's the fact that it's been hijacked to push a political agenda and people don't

00:05:53.020 want to see that when they go to a hockey game the article says that um you know some like you

00:05:57.880 mentioned some players were not wearing the jersey so now there's a division amongst the team it's just

00:06:02.780 awkward it's not inclusive it's exclusive of many um it's contradicting with some people's

00:06:08.300 beliefs because it's going on beyond hey we should all have equal rights we should all treat others

00:06:13.380 the way we want to be treated to basically proselytizing to people when you're there to

00:06:18.660 have a beer and a hot dog and and watch a game um it says there were also instances of specific

00:06:24.620 players like choosing to skip warm-ups on the nights their teams wore the themed jersey so now

00:06:31.140 they're not even preparing properly to win the game so who wants that for the team they're rooting for

00:06:36.560 oh 100 and it's not just the transanity agenda drea i'm speaking of any kind of political causes

00:06:44.460 i mean um again i don't know where you uh weigh in on the russia ukraine conflict but i don't want

00:06:52.000 to see like you know ukraine flags or as the case may be russian flags sewn on to uh nhl jerseys

00:06:59.640 just you know know your role as the rock used to say and stay in your lane and let your audience

00:07:09.040 when they want to read the op-ed pages of newspapers to form their opinions or come to rebel news what

00:07:17.980 have you when you're playing hockey football baseball basketball whatever i don't want a sermon on the

00:07:25.200 field or on the ice or on the grid wire and i'm done with that this is a great step in the right

00:07:31.100 direction and um you know here's the other thing you mentioned pride the the perversely ironic thing

00:07:38.860 about this nhl initiative drea is it didn't even happen during uh pride week what am i saying pride

00:07:44.740 month right what am i saying pride season it'll be pride year soon enough but it already is it's

00:07:51.880 it's non-stop i believe it was back in april all these shenanigans were so two months before the

00:07:58.220 month of june now i i can hear you know a skeptic saying well by the time june comes around there's

00:08:03.500 probably only you know four teams at most involved in the stanley cup playoffs yeah but that is the

00:08:10.160 season you know are we going to have a christmas themed nhl game in july or i mean uh september um

00:08:17.880 who knows so again uh i we call them as we see them don't we drea so good on the nhl for swallowing

00:08:25.260 its pride if you will and uh and moving on and you know the h in nhl it stands for hacky and maybe if

00:08:38.140 the maple leafs if they can get back to basics instead of putting on a drag show and selling

00:08:43.460 pride themed merchandise and having a pride warm up how about this i know i'm asking a lot here

00:08:49.780 could you look at winning a stanley cup it's only been 57 years you know i have a bed drea

00:08:55.940 what's going to happen first the leafs win the cup or i die and i'm telling you the smart money is on the

00:09:03.840 grim reaper you know bet on that folks that's safe that's money in the bank it's i mean the last time

00:09:11.940 they won drea lester pearson was prime minister it's unbelievable so good on the nhl um now here's

00:09:21.040 something you wanted to talk to on the same file the saskatchewan education minister is calling for

00:09:26.500 a review into ministry sexual education materials oh my god folks and what materials they are

00:09:34.740 take adrea because i scare easy everybody should be scared about this that's right if you have not

00:09:45.720 seen i don't know if we can pull up a picture i don't know if we're allowed to pull up a picture

00:09:50.280 it's gross but these were tween yeah tweens i think grade nine and in a high school and they only found

00:09:57.500 out about these materials because one of the child told their parents that first so that's the other

00:10:01.900 thing they're not getting a notice the parents are not being told but they from a planned parenthood

00:10:07.620 event red flag right there that happened in the school they were given access to this deck of cards

00:10:14.220 a to z it's a raunchy deck of sex cards with terms many of which almost all i had never heard of i don't

00:10:24.040 know if we're going to dare to show anything like some of the stuff is disgusting you would see me blush

00:10:28.920 through my black skin if i actually had to read it out loud but i encourage you guys i know we are

00:10:33.640 having an article come up today and i think i think western standard might have um already got it up but

00:10:39.620 the it's horrific i actually asked my team okay i asked her i said i read one and just the name of it

00:10:47.640 and had she heard of it and she's like no i've never heard of it and then i said what it was and she

00:10:51.420 was shocked she could not believe and she's in grade 12 um so she could not believe that's happening

00:10:56.500 and it didn't it doesn't stop there it also happened in bc so it had i think we have the

00:11:04.420 article of that oh my god look at that graphic okay yeah so you guys read i'm not going to read that

00:11:09.200 you know what i'm not going to read it either uh drea i said graphic i that was a misstep i meant

00:11:15.800 pornographic because that's what this is and you know what drea more to the point um i i came across 0.91

00:11:23.100 terms i'd never heard of and of course our haters will say oh well look at that old square he's so

00:11:27.720 out of the loop but once i read about what these sex acts involved some of them are basically unhealthy

00:11:36.060 to engage in i'm not going to get into details it's too disgusting and pornographic for me and if you 0.99

00:11:42.020 want to call me a a transphobe or a homophobe uh you know fill your boots i don't care uh go to a 0.99

00:11:47.640 doctor that will speak honestly to you there are such disgusting sex acts graphically described and 0.99

00:11:56.920 even providing illustrations as well drea that it is completely age inappropriate i mean i i remember uh

00:12:06.060 i think back in high school somebody scored a a deck of playing cards that had topless women on it

00:12:11.500 this is infinite times worse this is about various pornographic exercises that uh oh i don't know

00:12:21.240 planned parent for god knows what reason what agenda drea is encouraging um minors to be aware of and 1.00

00:12:30.180 maybe even partake in it is absolutely gross and it goes to show you yeah it is criminal it is criminal

00:12:38.760 because you know what folks if you if a minor went to a corner variety store and bought an issue of

00:12:43.540 playboy which i'll tell you is tame given this deck of cards here uh that shopkeeper if it was a fine

00:12:50.920 if there was a complaint lodged he would be severely fined now why sneak smut into the school school's

00:12:58.580 going to provide it for you the gatekeepers and by that i mean the teachers unions who are marching

00:13:05.640 lockstep with the um school boards the school board trustees all those educrats these are radical

00:13:15.080 left-wing marxists this is i think in the big unspoken strategy drea tearing down society this is

00:13:23.260 marxism 101 and building it up as that marxist utopia which never happens uh go to venezuela north

00:13:30.160 korea cuba anywhere that has adopted communism that's what i think is behind it because if you

00:13:37.420 told me even five years ago drea we'd be having a conversation of this kind of grotesque pornographic 0.99

00:13:44.280 content in our schools i would have said you were a crazy woman but here we are it's so bad i'm thankful 0.78

00:13:53.160 that the minister of education in saskatchewan i believe his name is dustin duncan is in fact doing

00:13:58.500 the right thing he's calling for the review it's through their um health it's always under something

00:14:04.520 that sounds so good their health and wellness curriculum and he's also banned planned parenthood

00:14:10.520 any type of planned parenthood event from any saskatchewan schools and so this is very similar

00:14:16.520 to what we're seeing happening out of new brunswick they are also reviewing their uh curriculum

00:14:21.840 that has this sexual stuff happening and one of the first things they did which we've reported on

00:14:28.140 is make a rule that teachers are not able to call children by their preferred gender if it doesn't

00:14:35.040 match you know the gender that was put on i guess their birth certificate until the child is 16 they

00:14:39.920 need parental consent now i mentioned that this this these same cards and i'm guessing they went through

00:14:46.920 more than just two provinces happened in um were given to 13 year olds in a fort nelson school

00:14:53.380 so fort nelson school is now apologizing for the sexual materials well you you can't make the kids

00:14:58.660 unlearn this let's be honest here they're they're learning in school something they would only learn

00:15:02.840 on the dark web or something like that um they're i'm hoping that we're going to see the same thing oh boy

00:15:09.400 would i be happy if we see a review on the soji one two three curriculum that we've done many reports on

00:15:16.060 at stop classroom grooming dot com and that's one more thing we're calling this for what it is child

00:15:22.140 grooming and people are calling that bigotry saying we're offensive and all of these things but that

00:15:26.640 exactly that's exactly what you're seeing here and you know drea the hypocrisy that is afoot here

00:15:32.920 uh several weeks ago at a durham district school board meeting before that is they banned parents can

00:15:39.020 you imagine that and uh and essentially and i'm banned as well indefinitely because i asked a trustee an

00:15:44.980 impolite question in the parking lot um the a parent got up and started reading verbatim the text

00:15:55.000 i can't remember the name of the book from a novel that is available in the elementary school libraries

00:16:03.020 of durham district and the educrats were howling with outrage because it was vulgar it was pornographic

00:16:09.660 it was gross you know what they did drea they called the cops they had him removed by police 1.00

00:16:14.860 and what is his crime he's reading stuff you idiots are providing for children i mean you can't make 1.00

00:16:23.580 this up but you know i have to say when you applauded uh new brunswick uh for you know requiring 1.00

00:16:31.680 parental consent uh for students under 16 in terms of what their gender identity or sexual orientation might

00:16:38.560 be and reviewing the curriculum yeah and revealing the curriculum you are drea it pains me to say this

00:16:45.080 you are a transphobe who says that rosemary barton of the cbc says that the this is again

00:16:53.200 the people on the left and to think our tax dollars are paying for this um humorless harpy to weigh in 1.00

00:17:02.820 on issues like what's happening to our children for them to go right off the bat to the transphobe card

00:17:11.060 bigot racist homophobe you name it to use slurs uh against people and i i i will bet my life on this

00:17:22.020 i've already bet my life against the leafs winning the stanley cup before i die but i'm gonna read 0.98

00:17:26.240 the vast majority of people are on board it comes to that pink floyd uh lyric from another brick in

00:17:35.120 the wall uh drea hey teacher leave those kids alone yeah hands down if they knew the truth

00:17:42.680 they would totally be on board with getting this stuff out and how sick is the state-backed media

00:17:49.660 and the state for running a narrative that this is bigotry they never explain to the public what

00:17:55.700 people are actually upset about they never spell it out and this is why they continue to drive uh

00:18:01.780 division over this and in fact they continue to hurt the lgbtq community who i keep saying has been

00:18:07.840 hijacked by this agenda by making it look as though they're all in support of this as well they always

00:18:14.660 ignore those that are part of the community speaking out about this it's sick and it's twisted

00:18:19.840 and uh that's why all of our reports on this issue are at stop uh classroom grooming dot com so you can

00:18:27.820 share and spread awareness so more people are seeing right through um the poor journalism coming

00:18:34.140 out of state preferred media oh 100 and speaking of stop classroom grooming dot com i delivered that

00:18:41.420 petition to a windsor-essex school board uh trustee uh while i was on my uh windsor uh mission drea her

00:18:51.400 name is linda kin um she is a an asian uh trustee i only bring up her race because when it comes to the 1.00

00:19:01.020 love trump's hate community for taking a stand against this sort of stuff for being a advocate for the

00:19:09.820 parents this woman who i consider to be a lioness has been demonized and vilified by her own colleagues 0.94

00:19:18.480 she was brave enough to sit down with me uh two days ago and have a long form interview which we will

00:19:25.360 broadcast later folks and she showed me some of the emails she has received from the spirit unicorn

00:19:33.860 community in which it is utter misogyny think of the worst word begins with a c that you can call a

00:19:42.040 woman oh no racism think of the worst slur you can call an asian and one of those emails this person 0.53

00:19:50.260 went on to say to this lovely lady i hope you die of breast cancer think about that drea and we are 1.00

00:19:59.760 the haters we're the ones that are the bigots are you kidding me that kind of wickedness is the spirit 0.96

00:20:06.880 behind pushing the stuff if you ask me but um oh i think we i think we can go to an ad break yes

00:20:14.280 i need to calm down we need to calm down i need a drink of water i need to i need a

00:20:19.560 what are you baptism water on my head or something so let's go to an ad break and we'll be back with

00:20:25.000 more hot off the press

00:20:26.480 progressives across this country are going out of their way to erase canada's national identity

00:20:43.160 whether it's cancelling fireworks or cancelling canada day altogether if there's one thing that

00:20:48.700 these folks hate it's patriotism so why not support our independent journalism and stick it to the

00:20:54.260 progressives who would love to cancel canada day by going to rebelnewsstore.com and purchasing some

00:20:59.240 of our incredible canada day theme gear like this shirt i'm wearing right now again you'll be

00:21:04.280 supporting our important work and you'll be sticking up for canada's national identity rejecting

00:21:08.900 progressive cancel culture and saying no we are indeed canadian again go to rebelnewsstore.com

00:21:24.260 you know with our canada collection drea uh super producer efren mentioned uh a new item which is

00:21:43.820 one that celebrates dominion day i have never referred to july 1st as canada day uh i won't go

00:21:51.040 into detail but if you look at the origin of how more than a hundred years of history dominion day

00:21:57.260 was changed overnight uh oh and guess who did it yes it was blackface's daddy back in 1982 0.79

00:22:03.920 on the last day of parliament with less than um a quorum is 20 mps at least it was at the time

00:22:11.880 they only had 13 in the house i thought geez maybe there's a technicality here this is an illegal

00:22:17.640 holiday because they didn't have a quorum well guess what drea i checked with the auto ottawa

00:22:22.920 parliamentary rules committee and essentially you don't need a quorum if everyone's on side now you

00:22:28.200 might argue well the name of a holiday uh who cares call it whatever you want but could you imagine

00:22:33.460 if these guys ramrodded through you know something that oh i don't know like the gun grab like the

00:22:40.520 censorious bills that they're so gung-ho on uh that you know scares the bejesus out of me that

00:22:47.200 there's that um you know fine print technicality that if everyone's on side it goes through quorum

00:22:54.540 rules be damned so i continue to call it dominion day uh i will not acquiesce uh to uh the trudeau

00:23:02.900 version where he's continually uh rewriting canada or was and is as far as his son goes we think it's

00:23:11.520 his son anyway happy dominion day for everybody uh next saturday by the way um that raises a very

00:23:19.540 important question more important than anything we'll talk about do we take friday off or monday

00:23:24.380 off because dominion day falls on a sunday saturday it's a good question it's an a10 question for us

00:23:30.940 here at that's right but yeah i like that history there's a the hidden history that people don't

00:23:37.600 really talk about um i grew up of course on canada day it feels like the right day to say but you're

00:23:43.380 right um it's not fair that it was changed like that and i wouldn't be surprised if something like

00:23:50.000 that happened again with his son it wouldn't shock me at all much like our passport situation

00:23:55.280 drea i am sure in our lifetime for example in ontario uh third week in may victoria day

00:24:04.520 uh that's a little you know colonialist isn't it that's a little imperialist that's a little white

00:24:11.020 supremacy isn't it i am certain that i i'm sure there's already a move afoot to change um victoria

00:24:19.380 day to uh either trans pride day i wouldn't put it past them you know uh you wait um we uh look at

00:24:29.400 what's happening in our nation's capital they are erasing the name of sir john a mcdonald everywhere

00:24:34.900 they've changed the name of a highway victoria they removed the statue exactly and this is this

00:24:41.940 is 1984 stuff and if you haven't read that book or even if you have read that book you know what folks

00:24:48.600 uh we've got a new version coming out it is uh paul ravosh the artist oh my god the illustrations

00:24:56.340 are just drop dead beautiful in a sinister way given the content of the book and i'll tell you

00:25:02.740 adrea uh you know ezra said this um about a couple of years ago even if you've read 1984 go back and

00:25:10.000 reread it which i did a couple years ago because the last i think i read it originally in 1979

00:25:14.580 five years before the actual date of 1984 i was in high school and two things shocked me

00:25:20.840 drea i've forgotten how absolute chilling it was and i was stunned and shocked to see how much of it

00:25:30.360 has come true uh especially in our country unfortunately especially how governments and banks

00:25:38.000 and employers acted during the coronavirus uh lockdown it's pure 1984 um themes and uh this

00:25:49.780 like i said uh if you have to reread it buy this one because we've done something very special

00:25:57.360 which we have dozens of beautiful illustrations by paul in it it it is something i'd put on the coffee

00:26:05.800 table and get your kids to read it if they're of reading age yeah yeah we made it cool for the kids

00:26:13.180 again you know what i mean it was something that you had to read when you were younger but i don't

00:26:17.440 i highly doubt they're reading it now um so i'm going to grab one for my kid as well and we don't

00:26:22.500 get a lot of uh orders from commander ezra here but that was one he said everybody needs to reread that

00:26:28.680 again if you haven't recently and he's absolutely right because um i'm long overdue to do that so i'm

00:26:33.560 excited to get that i think the url um it's available on amazon and also the url i think is by

00:26:39.900 1984.com if you want to go to our website and read more about it but it's just beautiful let's uh

00:26:45.960 let's you know raise awareness about that because it is very dystopian what we're living to or orwellian

00:26:53.020 i guess i should say um i'm just before we jump to the next thing i'm going to read two of our live

00:26:59.700 chats if you're just tuning in fantastic yeah that's a way to be a part of the show you can go

00:27:04.660 on rumble or odyssey and comment about what we're saying what we're sharing or something else you

00:27:09.820 think people should be aware of the first is a donation of five oh sorry six dollars from

00:27:16.040 georgie georgie thank you very much and georgie says hi guys today marks the 38th anniversary of

00:27:23.280 the air india 182 bombing let's reflect on that today so yeah thank you for sharing that and that's why

00:27:31.040 it's so important for you guys to be a part of the show because i i didn't even know it was the

00:27:34.400 anniversary i'm ashamed to say my god how time flies and of course that was uh if memory serves me these

00:27:42.120 were calistani sikhs that were behind that it's it remains canada's worst act of terrorism um and 0.75

00:27:50.020 you know it's kind of funny um that movement in india is pretty much over and dead over and done with

00:27:59.180 as i understand it but you have uh members of that movement that are very much in canada full

00:28:07.120 force and by that mean folks i don't mean sikhs i mean those who are committed to an independent

00:28:14.700 uh sikh homeland within india and that was an absolute um despicable act all these people 1.00

00:28:24.760 uh imagine that you get on a flight and somebody stuck a bomb in a suitcase and all those lives

00:28:32.540 over 300 people snuffed out like that uh you know what georgie georgie thank you for reminding us we

00:28:40.160 we should make note of these kind of anniversaries uh drea yeah absolutely and that article had it

00:28:46.820 right that most people don't even know about it so yeah thank you so much um actually georgie georgie

00:28:52.100 also donated five dollars thanks again says david you're 85 you'll you're 85 you'll never see the

00:29:00.940 leafs win the cup let me do the math i don't think you're that no i i i'm not 85 you know what i should

00:29:09.440 embrace that i'm 85 don't i look good for my age folks i'm five years away from 90 and i've all got i've

00:29:15.820 still got all my marbles well arguably but you know what that if that if what georgie georgie is

00:29:23.560 insinuating that it's going to be a couple more decades until the leafs win this down the cup

00:29:30.300 uh what do you think drake can i hang on till 85 or uh is that pushing things especially given the

00:29:36.260 line of work we're in i'll tell you this much canada needs you to hang on till 85 or more boy do we ever

00:29:43.580 need that there you go i'll get my uh my captain canuck uh costume out of cold storage uh but uh

00:29:55.240 speaking of 1984 here's a theme when it comes to controlling the narrative and controlling

00:30:00.640 information meta to ban news content on facebook and instagram with bill c18 set to become law i don't

00:30:10.520 think the blackface liberals including pablo there anticipated this did they drea no i they wanted

00:30:18.580 to you know strong arm them into bending i guess they're uh tired of of funding the news they want

00:30:25.760 they think they need more so they wanted to kind of make meta also of course that's instagram and i guess

00:30:33.000 this applies to all basically social media pay to feature the news which is something that any news

00:30:40.420 organization wants most people are getting their news off of social media you know granted they're

00:30:46.400 just reading the headlines 70 of them but um so news outlets want to be featured and so what the

00:30:53.560 trudeau government is saying oh no you have to pay for that you're you're capitalizing and you should

00:30:57.700 be paying so meta has said um i'll just read uh we have repeatedly shared that to comply with bill c18

00:31:07.580 pat oh sorry we have repeatedly shared that to comply with bill c18 past today in parliament

00:31:15.080 content from news outlets including news publishers and broadcasters will no longer be available to

00:31:21.560 people accessing our platforms in canada so it basically backfired there yeah and here's why

00:31:29.660 people should care uh drea even if they don't go on to facebook or instagram what have you plan b for

00:31:36.140 these media outlets since they anticipated uh goodness knows how much revenue uh from the silicon valley

00:31:43.040 tech giants they're simply going to go again cap in hand to the federal and in some cases such as

00:31:50.260 the provincial governments and uh ask for more taxpayer money because their business plan let's face it

00:31:59.560 so much of the mainstream media this is now a sunset industry drea people ain't buying what they're

00:32:06.780 selling you know advertisers i can tell you 20 years ago um national post for example a full page

00:32:14.580 colorad colorad an advertiser would pay around 15 000 today maybe 2 000 right it's it's completely

00:32:23.180 devalued and the reason is is that the the newspaper uh does not capture the same amount of eyeballs it did

00:32:30.900 once upon a time so instead of reinventing themselves instead of what we do keep it lean and mean

00:32:37.940 crowdfund uh they are addicted to welfare well speaking of us and what we do do we know yet uh

00:32:46.860 what this means for rebel news on facebook because i know the trudeau government trudeau himself

00:32:52.360 has deemed us not a real news organization i don't know if you guys have seen that video um

00:32:58.320 are we aware of if we're being censored uh or or not that's a good question our friend yankee down in

00:33:06.180 the free state of florida is uh looking into that um so i don't have a clear answer that's what came

00:33:12.440 up in the morning meeting today um but we will soldier on sleep pardon me i was probably half asleep

00:33:19.540 the meeting is very early for british columbia okay oh i know i it's the old line uh by the time we're

00:33:26.440 eating lunch in toronto uh you guys are just getting out of bed right yeah i know you work harder than

00:33:33.760 that drab but the uh but we hope to get clarity of that and speaking of us not being a real news

00:33:41.400 agency as blackface claims it's kind of funny how in 2019 and in 2021 the federal court of canada

00:33:50.280 deemed otherwise to get us into the parliamentary debates during those election years isn't it amazing

00:33:56.820 uh how blackface thinks he's above the law in terms of who he determines uh what is real media and what 1.00

00:34:05.220 is uh not real media and really it comes down to drea um who's on the government payroll the media 1.00

00:34:12.880 outlets that know their role they won't ask too many insensitive uh questions and um i can tell you

00:34:20.140 folks with all the bills being passed by this censorious government this year is the fight of

00:34:26.340 our lives uh it really is yeah blackface has used the carrot for 99 percent plus of the media in terms of 0.93

00:34:36.180 corporate welfare and for the outliers the independent media outlets such as rebel news

00:34:42.740 now comes the stick because just to have even a tiny you know form of dissent is too ego shattering

00:34:54.360 for this dictator that's right i called him a dictator because that's what he is he is shutting down

00:35:00.160 uh the free press so i'll i'll watch uh with great amusement how uh the feds uh wrangle with the

00:35:10.240 silicon valley tech giants because typically drea they march in lockstep when it comes to censorship

00:35:16.200 right when it comes to don't give a contrary opinion to uh say the coronavirus don't give any

00:35:24.100 fuel to the fire that the election was stolen by that i mean the 2020 u.s election if it's a 2016 u.s

00:35:31.180 election oh yeah yeah go chapter and verse on that one that's okay right you know that uh you know 0.82

00:35:38.280 hillary clinton was screwed as opposed to donald trump uh the hypocrisy is astounding it is now 0.69

00:35:45.440 you mentioned not being afraid to call uh you know our dear fearless leader a dictator i was actually 0.97

00:35:51.340 really surprised um ctv put out an article a few days ago and it was an opinion piece but still the

00:35:58.120 title referred to the trudeau government as the trudeau regime and i thought oh my goodness it's taken

00:36:05.460 them a while to accurately describe his brain um but anyways that's just a bit of a side note but i

00:36:12.120 just wanted to go to um leader of the opposition pierre polyev's uh tweet about uh what meta's doing

00:36:19.180 now he says there you have it step by step the true doe government is deliberately getting in the way

00:36:26.260 of what people can see and share online and you better bet my friends i believe it would ramp up

00:36:33.220 much more than what we're seeing now just before the election around campaign time um there'll be

00:36:39.920 such a grip on what people will be able to see and access so make sure if you haven't already

00:36:43.780 make sure you give us your email because if we're unfindable that's going to be the only way we're

00:36:50.200 going to be able to get a hold of you i think if you go to rebelnews.com and you haven't given us

00:36:54.560 your email before you'll be prompted to do so so it's very important yeah and uh that is a very good

00:37:00.540 point drea and also uh in terms of referring to this as a regime what we need is regime change

00:37:07.740 i have to tell you drea i'm disharmed with what happened on monday uh liberal mps got re-elected

00:37:14.420 and i know people are going to say don't read too much into that these are so-called safe writings

00:37:19.060 uh it was the status quo across the board but still drea um even in a so-called safe writing

00:37:27.420 with the eight years of vandalism that's being done to our country um even safe writings are

00:37:35.440 vulnerable they can flip i mean um hey just ask uh the brian malroney or sorry the kim campbell

00:37:42.580 conservatives of 1993 just asked the michael ignitev uh liberals of some 10 years ago uh there

00:37:49.920 can be nova scotia the provincial election there was kind of a surprise too recently yeah but but that's

00:37:56.200 what i was hoping for more surprises federally that those liberal writings would go conservative

00:38:02.060 it didn't happen and again it's folly to say that a by-election is a barometer for what's going to

00:38:09.340 happen in the federal election but it would have sure be nice it would have been very reassuring for

00:38:14.440 us all those of us who want regime change to have seen those writings flip but ah i don't know i don't

00:38:21.640 know how to i don't know how somebody goes into a ballot box and looks at this liberal party and says

00:38:29.120 yep they're doing a great job they've got my support unbelievable drea i don't know it's definitely a

00:38:35.780 nail-biter about what's going to happen i think i mean i probably said this the last time too but i

00:38:40.760 think it's like the most important election we've had because canada is unrecognizable at this point

00:38:45.900 under um trudeau jr so i i agree even if it's another uh blackface uh minority uh i think i think

00:38:55.020 it's pretty much over for canada the polls indicate it'd be a pierre polyev minority uh if you believe

00:39:01.000 the polls uh let's hope at least that can't believe it's not a super majority given what we've seen these

00:39:06.900 last eight years drea but um you know i know when i talked to lady men's light i saw her she was

00:39:12.140 googling costa rica just in case that seems to be a very popular parachute drop-off for canadians

00:39:19.780 that can't bear canada anymore um you know and uh you know i think here's i've been to costa rica

00:39:25.940 beautiful country you know drea believe or not they don't have an army an air force or a navy

00:39:31.900 i think even canada we could take that why can't we just invade make that the 11th province and so we

00:39:39.860 wouldn't have to worry about passports and whatnot but anyways i'm dreaming on um shall we get to

00:39:45.760 another ad break and come back to well we're in the stretch run of the toronto election and there's

00:39:52.020 all kinds of endorsements coming out uh some are appalling i think so why don't we check out this

00:39:57.940 ad folks and we'll see on the other side

00:40:00.000 we are a secular society we respect deeply people's rights and freedoms including freedom

00:40:26.380 freedom of expression freedom of conscience freedom of religion and it is unthinkable to me

00:40:34.460 that in a free society we would legitimize discrimination against citizens based on their

00:40:43.240 religion

00:40:43.640 my name is sheila gun reed i'm a wife i'm a mother i'm a farmer i'm a journalist i'm an advocate for

00:41:02.320 religious freedom and i'm a catholic and the war on christianity came for me too

00:41:08.000 we have therefore made the assessment that covid19 can be characterized as a pandemic

00:41:16.800 so here is the situation

00:41:18.240 more and more canadians are getting vaccinated

00:41:24.100 but like we know cases in far too many places are far too high

00:41:36.080 get vaccinated and you know what if you don't want to get vaccinated that's your choice but don't

00:41:45.920 think you can get on a plane or a train besides vaccinated people and put them at risk 0.99

00:41:51.280 the police came straight to me and he targeted me and he he took his gun of tear gas and he actually

00:42:08.560 shoot me directly in my legs these measures include operating at 50 capacity the continuous use of masks

00:42:17.440 the sacrifices maintaining two meters of physical distance between attendees from different households 0.76

00:42:23.040 no congregational singing

00:42:30.240 no matter what god will bring us through and i said we will not bow down to your gods

00:42:35.200 we won't it was illegal to sing in church we're gonna sing

00:42:39.360 ow that doesn't like the candidate you thought you knew

00:42:42.800 Do you know what his crime was? He held services on Sunday.

00:42:49.660 You devils, you evil, wicked people, get out. 0.99

00:42:52.740 I don't care what you have to say. Ouch! 1.00

00:42:56.280 And it took me over 30 times.

00:43:00.560 We saw our nation drowning and we couldn't stand by and watch.

00:43:05.780 Atiessen's sermon was interrupted when RCMP sent in the tow truck, prompting him to join the front lines.

00:43:12.000 RCMP moved in, blocked the driveway, prevented anyone from entering the property.

00:43:27.940 Bye daddy!

00:43:42.000 Well, Drea, so rarely have I been moved by a trailer for a documentary or a film.

00:43:46.940 And that is just stunning.

00:43:50.020 I can't wait to see the finished product, which premieres next month.

00:43:55.800 What images?

00:43:57.720 We will never forget this time period that we just went through with this COVID-19.

00:44:04.120 I mean, just despicable, just despicable.

00:44:08.720 I've seen the trailer a few times, but what was really sticking out to me there is,

00:44:13.060 why was there so few who took that stand, you know, of the leaders?

00:44:18.720 Like, it's so shocking that pastors were arrested in Canada, but why so few?

00:44:24.240 And why just pastors?

00:44:25.900 Why not all leaders of faith?

00:44:27.300 They had to know their communities were hurting and grieving and the division in homes and things.

00:44:32.720 So, yes, join us.

00:44:34.020 I believe we're doing a, well, we are doing a summer tour right on the screen there.

00:44:37.580 You can see the locations, and I know we're working on adding locations.

00:44:40.760 So you can actually watch it alongside Rebels.

00:44:44.760 So what is the URL for that?

00:44:46.880 Is it church on fire?

00:44:49.300 Or, I've got to remember, I've got to, like, study URLs, but, oh, sorry, savethechristians.com.

00:44:58.140 Thank you, Olivia, in the earpiece.

00:45:00.580 But, yeah, it would be great to see you guys there, so.

00:45:04.040 And, you know, we must point out, Drea, in terms of those politicians that behave badly, shall we say,

00:45:13.240 that is the reason why today, in the Alberta legislature, it is Premier Smith in that seat and not Premier Kenney.

00:45:22.720 Absolutely.

00:45:23.420 This is directly tied to Jason Kenney paying a career price.

00:45:30.900 And I'm sorry.

00:45:32.360 Oral price.

00:45:33.660 Yeah.

00:45:34.000 And if he had chosen to go the Ron DeSantis route, make Alberta the free province,

00:45:40.760 he'd still be Premier today.

00:45:43.180 That's what I argue, Drea.

00:45:44.740 I think so, too.

00:45:46.140 Yeah.

00:45:46.340 Absolutely.

00:45:47.340 So from the Premier's office in Alberta, why don't we go to the Toronto Maralty race?

00:45:53.840 Some news, it's not 102 candidates anymore.

00:45:57.300 It's 101.

00:45:58.600 Rob Davis dropped out.

00:46:01.300 And Rob Davis is a good man, and we've interviewed him a couple of times.

00:46:05.300 For example, he took a stand in terms of going to bat for the Sir John A. MacDonald statue that's being put in a coffin by Premier Ford at the Ontario legislature.

00:46:18.960 Of course, I'm sure he's denounced as a white supremacist.

00:46:22.980 That's kind of funny, given that Rob Davis is black. 1.00

00:46:26.780 But anyway, that's how the laugh rolls, folks.

00:46:30.700 So he's endorsing Anthony Fury.

00:46:33.240 And I woke up to this, and this set me off into a fury, no pun intended.

00:46:39.280 It's the front page of the Toronto Sun.

00:46:42.680 Hail to the chief.

00:46:45.660 They are endorsing Mark Saunders, the former police chief for the City of Toronto, as mayor.

00:46:54.460 Two things, Drea.

00:46:57.760 Anthony Fury, until very recently, for several, several years, was the national columnist for the Toronto Sun, and it was an excellent one.

00:47:07.320 This, to me, is a knife in the back.

00:47:09.840 Secondly, we exposed incredible allegations about the Mark Saunders campaign just two days ago that, guess what, folks?

00:47:21.040 Sneaky Patrick Brown and his henchmen, they are involved.

00:47:25.900 Our Brampton source, who has been 100% accurate, whether it's Sneaky Patrick playing hockey during lockdown, whether it's Sneaky Patrick having a secret Conservative Party of Canada campaign headquarters in Vaughan.

00:47:43.200 He's not 99.99% accurate.

00:47:45.960 He's 100% accurate.

00:47:47.260 The story goes, Drea, Brown's henchmen, including Babu, his chief of staff, has been actively involved in Toronto's Tamil community.

00:48:00.320 The allegations state that they are going to Tamils, some of whom don't even speak English, filling out the mail-in ballot in advance and just saying, here, sign. 0.96

00:48:12.000 Oh, what am I saying? 0.97

00:48:12.960 Shut up and sign. 0.97

00:48:14.640 You know, yours is not to ask questions. 0.97

00:48:16.520 I want to make it clear, this is not illegal, but when it comes to ethics, when it comes to morals, this kind of ballot harvesting, this just makes me cringe.

00:48:30.580 I mean, it is because of morality, Drea, that we are in a mayoral by-election in the first place, i.e. John Tory telling everybody to get vaxxed, wear masks, stay in their social distancing circles, all for public health.

00:48:45.560 Meanwhile, he's engaged in horizontal jogging with an office subordinate.

00:48:50.820 Unbelievable.

00:48:51.860 How despicable is that?

00:48:53.280 And, yeah, so I think for the sun to backstab Anthony Fury and go with, I guess it's politics.

00:49:04.480 Mark Saunders is the premier's choice.

00:49:07.280 Mark Saunders is apparently Patrick Brown's choice.

00:49:10.320 I don't know exactly what the connection is.

00:49:12.800 I have theories that I won't go into.

00:49:14.780 And I want to say this.

00:49:15.800 For four years, I believe, Mark Saunders was police chief.

00:49:19.220 You were chief of police.

00:49:21.420 You could have cracked down on crime, but you didn't.

00:49:25.740 In fact, we have video from the summer of 2020, Mark Saunders taking a knee when it was Black Lives Matter protesters,

00:49:35.800 which I never understood, Drea, because basically as chief of police, Mark Saunders is taking a knee against himself.

00:49:44.220 And by the same token, in the same time period, having Toronto police officers often violently arrest freedom protesters.

00:49:53.860 So, there you go.

00:49:56.500 There's the video evidence, you know, taking the knee, the Black Power salute.

00:50:01.640 And I guess, you know, folks, we're supposed to follow the science.

00:50:05.800 I guess the coronavirus would never be so insensitive to, in fact, Black Lives Matter protesters. 0.54

00:50:12.360 But when it comes to the freedom protesters, yeah, that's a bunch of typhoid Marys. 0.74

00:50:17.940 Drea, what's your analysis of this endorsement? 0.98

00:50:21.880 Yeah, the hypocrisy is so bad.

00:50:24.560 They say that Mark Saunders is their choice for the next election because they believe the city's former police chief means what he says about keeping people safe.

00:50:35.560 And you're right.

00:50:36.100 How has he done so far?

00:50:37.840 And that's the primary obligation of any government to its citizens.

00:50:43.660 Now, there's something interesting.

00:50:45.240 Now, because I'm out in BC, I haven't followed, you know, the races closely as you probably have.

00:50:52.620 But I believe, correct me if I'm wrong.

00:50:55.240 Yeah, here it says front runner, Olivia Chow.

00:51:00.100 It's kind of interesting.

00:51:01.560 Is it what Ford said about her?

00:51:04.000 Oh, see, I had it all ready to go and I missed my place.

00:51:07.840 Oh, I think it's Olivia Chow would be an unmitigated disaster. 1.00

00:51:11.340 Yeah, something like that.

00:51:12.600 Thank you.

00:51:13.180 But I thought that was an interesting comment that they're saying.

00:51:16.560 But it's not surprising to see this happen.

00:51:19.020 And I do think it is a bit distasteful of the Sun to do that.

00:51:24.740 But we'll see.

00:51:26.340 I probably would think that Chow's going to win.

00:51:28.620 Don't you think so?

00:51:29.400 You know what?

00:51:30.360 I have my doubts, Drea.

00:51:31.840 I think three times we've been told here that Chow was the prohibitive favorite and it never came to fruition.

00:51:40.300 Secondly, these polls are very questionable.

00:51:43.060 And let me give you a personal anecdote.

00:51:44.980 I don't even live in Toronto.

00:51:46.580 I'm in Richmond Hill.

00:51:47.880 So far, Drea, I've had one of those robocall polls.

00:51:51.640 Okay?

00:51:51.880 So, first of all, the very first statement it should say, I think, is that if you are not a voter registered with the City of Toronto, please hang up.

00:52:03.300 Because, you know, I have no bearing on this.

00:52:06.500 If I can't even vote in Toronto, I'm in Richmond Hill, for goodness sakes.

00:52:09.800 So, then it goes, three out of three times this happened, Drea.

00:52:15.720 I don't care if the field is 102 candidates.

00:52:18.700 The only way to make it fair is random selection.

00:52:22.700 So, they should, you know, kind of like a wheel of fortune, spin all the names out and start listing them.

00:52:29.100 But, Drea, three out of three times, press one if you're voting for Olivia Chow.

00:52:37.040 How is that possible?

00:52:39.420 Yeah.

00:52:40.140 Think about this, Drea.

00:52:41.220 If your choice was, say, number 89, are you going to wait 25 minutes to press 89, you know, to vote for such and such?

00:52:49.580 No, of course not.

00:52:50.940 So, I think it has been stacked disproportionately by Olivia Chow, in my experience, always being the number one answer.

00:53:01.200 And, B, robocalls coming out to people that don't even have a vote.

00:53:05.340 So, I'm taking those results with a shovel full of salt, my friend.

00:53:11.100 Well, that's interesting.

00:53:12.300 And, marketing, they say if you see something seven times, that's how you remember it, that's how you want it.

00:53:16.980 So, interesting theory.

00:53:18.340 And, you remind me of something.

00:53:19.920 And, comment below, let us know if this is the case for you.

00:53:22.560 And, David, let me know if it's happening to you.

00:53:24.360 I seem to be getting surveys like this all the time, not even linked to a race that's happening.

00:53:30.120 Just, well, some are asking who would we vote for if there was a federal election.

00:53:36.480 I don't know if you've received that.

00:53:37.820 But, other ones are asking.

00:53:39.500 Like, I just got one, and I said yes to them texting it to me.

00:53:43.320 It was actually a research thing.

00:53:44.580 But, they want to know if there should be the age of being able to drive and drink alcohol and vote should be lowered.

00:53:53.200 And, I thought that was interesting.

00:53:54.740 So, anyway, it's just a little side note.

00:53:56.360 Let me know if you guys seem to be getting those types of calls and texts more often.

00:54:00.700 Andrea, I do.

00:54:02.280 And, what I always do is make time to listen to the questionnaire and the poll.

00:54:08.800 Because, I want to see how the people behind it are trying to, you know, meld public opinion.

00:54:16.120 And, I – so, that's why I will always make time to see what the methodology is and what the type of questions are.

00:54:24.160 And, sometimes, this really frustrates me.

00:54:26.660 It has to be, because it's a robocall, a yes or no answer.

00:54:31.060 And, sometimes, the answer is, well, it depends.

00:54:34.300 Right.

00:54:34.940 There is nuance to what they're saying.

00:54:38.160 But, that opportunity to have nuance is eradicated.

00:54:42.980 One last thing on the topic of unsolicited phone calls.

00:54:46.080 If anyone in the duck clean industry is watching this, please don't phone me anymore.

00:54:52.580 You know, I know my ducks probably need to be cleaned.

00:54:57.480 And, I know you're trying really hard and you're on a commission.

00:55:01.080 But, please, it's no – it always has be no.

00:55:05.100 It always will be no.

00:55:06.940 Stop it.

00:55:08.440 I haven't gotten that one yet.

00:55:09.760 But, we have a couple of – I think we have a couple of more comments.

00:55:15.440 Okay.

00:55:15.620 One here.

00:55:16.100 This is kind of a funny one from Zilly Holiday.

00:55:19.140 They say they walked past Ezra when he was in Windsor the other day and yelled out,

00:55:24.380 Brian Lilly!

00:55:26.620 Sorry.

00:55:27.540 Sorry about that, Ezra.

00:55:29.620 You know what?

00:55:30.400 But, this is a mistake within a mistake because I think what she meant to say, it was me who was in Windsor the last few days.

00:55:40.080 Yeah.

00:55:43.840 And, yeah, so somebody was mistaking me for Brian Lilly.

00:55:49.940 I can assure you I'm not Brian Lilly.

00:55:53.060 I can assure you I am not having – that my mistress is not the spokeswoman for Premier Ford, Ivana Gilich, to, you know, quote the famous Bill Clinton line from the 1990s.

00:56:08.640 But, I did not have sex with that woman. 1.00

00:56:13.340 Okay.

00:56:14.340 So, that's – I'm sorry, but if you're going to mistake me for Brian Lilly, I've got to clear the record here, Dre.

00:56:22.820 So, you know that yell?

00:56:25.060 You heard that yell?

00:56:26.240 Is that what you're saying?

00:56:26.740 You know what?

00:56:27.240 There was so much going on.

00:56:29.120 I wish I had heard it.

00:56:31.180 But, it has happened before.

00:56:33.600 I guess there's some kind of physical resemblance.

00:56:36.020 We both, once upon a time, worked at the Sun News Network.

00:56:40.080 And, maybe that's the connection.

00:56:43.060 But, we are – we're two different people here.

00:56:46.120 It's not a Clark Kent Superman thing we got going on.

00:56:49.820 Well, on this same note, and this is – I can't even figure out the connection.

00:56:54.860 It's the strangest thing.

00:56:56.400 A lot of people call me Tamara.

00:56:59.340 What?

00:57:00.280 Yeah, and I asked Tamara, and she says it doesn't happen to her, but it happens to me all the time.

00:57:04.860 Anybody who's been, like, my camera person, they've seen it happen many times.

00:57:08.360 They're like, hi, Tamara.

00:57:09.660 And I'm like, I'm Dre, and we don't look nothing alike.

00:57:12.560 And, I think our reports are similar, though.

00:57:15.780 Like, I think we kind of cover the same journalistic beat.

00:57:19.180 That's, like, the only thing, especially we did so many COVID reports.

00:57:23.680 But, you won't believe this.

00:57:25.760 My six-year-old said to me, what does your boss look like?

00:57:29.400 And so, I went to the website, and I showed him – I showed him the picture.

00:57:34.940 It's, like, all of us, the one of all of us standing together.

00:57:37.900 And I said, oh, that's Ezra.

00:57:39.040 That's my boss.

00:57:39.980 And then he points at Tamara, and he goes, that woman looks like you, mommy. 0.99

00:57:45.820 What?

00:57:46.060 And I'm like, what?

00:57:47.100 My own son said it.

00:57:50.860 It's the most bizarre.

00:57:52.200 She's white.

00:57:52.960 She's got blue eyes. 0.79

00:57:54.100 Like, I just don't get it.

00:57:55.800 Yeah.

00:57:56.480 I hate to state the obvious, but you're different races.

00:58:02.060 I mean, anyone – I'm sorry, Dre.

00:58:04.380 Anyone confusing you for Tamara Ugolini and vice versa, I'd be worried about getting in a car with them. 0.51

00:58:11.920 Can they tell it's a red light or a green light, or does it all look the same?

00:58:16.280 I don't know.

00:58:16.840 Well, see, they know my face, but it's, like, they call me her name.

00:58:20.380 And I've – it's happened so much that now I start, like, when people will email me and they think I'm Tamara.

00:58:26.700 Or sometimes Tamara will email me an email she knows is meant for me. 0.77

00:58:30.360 Like, it's funny.

00:58:31.980 Yeah.

00:58:33.520 Maybe – I think you might be onto something in terms of your reporting styles being similar.

00:58:38.920 Maybe.

00:58:40.180 But how is it that your own child made that mistake?

00:58:45.920 I don't know.

00:58:47.640 And I've asked people an email.

00:58:49.260 I'm like, just out of curiosity, it's just fun.

00:58:51.140 Why do you think you've called me Tamara?

00:58:52.780 And they're like, I don't know.

00:58:54.200 Like, I can't even think of why I did that.

00:58:56.480 It's so funny.

00:58:57.260 So, anyway, it's just a little fun note there.

00:58:59.480 Unbelievable.

00:59:00.840 I guess I better check, since we're running at a racetrack here.

00:59:05.120 I was about to call you Tamara.

00:59:06.840 See what you've done to me, Dre?

00:59:08.500 Oh, no.

00:59:09.260 Jeez.

00:59:10.200 Do we have any more super chats before we sign off?

00:59:14.060 Oh, right.

00:59:14.400 Yes.

00:59:14.880 Sorry, my bad.

00:59:15.560 I got distracted.

00:59:16.420 Totally there.

00:59:16.940 So, Snowy Roof donates $5.

00:59:21.220 Thank you very much.

00:59:22.240 And says, David, you might have to move to Newfoundland.

00:59:25.480 On my computer calendar, it says Canada Day, Dominion Day.

00:59:30.340 What?

00:59:31.200 You know what?

00:59:32.120 Wow.

00:59:32.860 Snowy Roof, let me tell you something.

00:59:34.880 I might have to move back to Newfoundland.

00:59:38.220 I was there in 1975 to 77.

00:59:43.740 True story, folks.

00:59:46.580 I was in grade 8 and grade 9, especially grade 8.

00:59:51.160 It was single-handedly the most miserable year of my life.

00:59:58.540 The entire student body at, lo and behold, Sir John A. MacDonald Junior High School was against

01:00:07.820 me, because what would happen is, first of all, they would say, you talk funny, which

01:00:14.180 is to say, I pronounce boy as boy and not bi.

01:00:19.080 And then they would say, where are you from?

01:00:22.800 And I would say Toronto.

01:00:24.600 And that would result in a word I've never heard before until I went to Newfoundland,

01:00:30.740 Mainlander, as a slur.

01:00:33.200 And then what would follow would be a punch in the stomach or a gum in my hair.

01:00:37.180 Oh, Drea, you have no idea.

01:00:39.540 When that bell rang, I mean, I should have tried out for the Olympic team.

01:00:43.480 I would run home.

01:00:45.920 Like, oh, and a couple of times over a frozen pond.

01:00:50.760 And sometimes the ice gave way.

01:00:53.260 And I went right in and my corduroy froze up.

01:00:56.400 I felt like the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, you know.

01:00:59.120 And I always dreamed, you know, one day I'm going to go back.

01:01:04.260 One day I'm going to give all these bullies a piece of my mind.

01:01:08.500 And that day came, I think it was 2003.

01:01:11.400 I was on a junket.

01:01:12.980 They had the Targa Newfoundland there.

01:01:15.060 I was with an American writer in a Porsche Targa 911.

01:01:19.060 And I was going there with trouble on my shirt, Drea.

01:01:23.840 I was ready to pick a fight.

01:01:25.860 And you know what?

01:01:27.100 Now that we're all adults, you couldn't meet nicer, more down-to-earth,

01:01:32.820 more salt-of-the-land people than ever.

01:01:36.280 And it just goes to show you that universe we're in as children at schools,

01:01:42.240 how vicious it can be.

01:01:44.300 You know, your hair is different.

01:01:46.620 Your accent is different.

01:01:48.320 You know, your race is different in some cases, unfortunately.

01:01:52.840 That can basically send you down the wrong path

01:01:57.480 and give you the wrong attitude of what the people are like once they're adults.

01:02:01.200 So I would say Newfoundland, in my experience,

01:02:04.660 as an adult going there since junior high,

01:02:07.900 it's probably the friendliest province I have ever had the pleasure of visiting.

01:02:14.380 Oh, but in 1975 to 77, you people were so brutal to me.

01:02:23.140 I feel so bad for laughing,

01:02:25.700 but the mental picture of you like waiting for the bell

01:02:29.520 and then like racing across ice, it was just too funny in my life.

01:02:32.720 But I am sad that you went through that.

01:02:35.020 But I bet that that contributed to who you are today.

01:02:38.100 The menzoid menzies, you know, 1.00

01:02:40.060 being able to be brave and go out and do the reports that you're doing

01:02:43.860 and not be bullied, no one can bully you, right?

01:02:47.480 You know what?

01:02:48.160 I think that's an incredible observation.

01:02:51.980 You know, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, as the saying goes.

01:02:55.180 And I know by having conversations with our beloved colleague, Alexis,

01:03:01.500 she told me terrible stories of her being bullied in school,

01:03:05.900 which I can't understand because she's just so nice and so cool,

01:03:11.780 unlike myself back in grade eight.

01:03:13.940 And, yeah, so maybe you're on to something in terms of what, you know,

01:03:20.400 helped my character.

01:03:21.660 But I will tell you, in those two years, Drea,

01:03:25.340 there's a brilliant South Park episode about social media,

01:03:31.000 which is so bang on.

01:03:32.800 And the title of that episode is the same as my two years in Newfoundland

01:03:37.800 from 1975 to 1977, which is, you have zero friends.

01:03:45.620 Oh, my goodness.

01:03:48.540 Oh, man.

01:03:49.560 Well, it's just bad that when I was imagining it,

01:03:52.480 you have the hat that you always wear on, too.

01:03:54.720 And that's part of why I was laughing so hard.

01:03:57.120 Well, back then, I needed a helmet, Drea. 0.85

01:03:59.800 Yeah.

01:04:00.420 You get many friends now.

01:04:01.780 So, I think if anybody's still with us, comment LOL or something,

01:04:05.920 because I think we're having a little bit too much fun here.

01:04:09.420 Indeed, yeah.

01:04:10.320 But, anyways, true story.

01:04:11.760 Oh, there's one more comment.

01:04:12.840 Oh, okay.

01:04:14.620 This is from World's Worst Gamer.

01:04:17.600 Oh, I'm sorry about that.

01:04:18.640 Donate's a dollar.

01:04:19.680 Thank you very much.

01:04:20.900 Thanks, Rebel News, for sharing the real news, the truth.

01:04:24.160 Well, thank you.

01:04:24.940 Well, thank you.

01:04:26.060 I wonder what makes him the World's Worst Gamer.

01:04:28.080 I'm sure that's got to be me.

01:04:30.520 I can't do any of these newfangled games.

01:04:32.840 I was, but I'll tell you, I'm pretty good at Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man.

01:04:37.440 And when we're off the air one day, Drea,

01:04:38.960 I'll tell you my joke about Mr. Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man.

01:04:42.500 HR, HR, Sheila, Sheila, where are you?

01:04:47.180 Yeah.

01:04:47.860 Oh, my goodness.

01:04:49.000 Have I got something in my inbox already?

01:04:52.300 Jeez.

01:04:53.460 That will not be uttered, that joke, on air.

01:04:56.320 Well, Drea, thank you so much for your co-hosting.

01:05:01.520 It was a delight.

01:05:02.240 I think this is the most fun I've had, co-hosting this show with you, my friend.

01:05:07.600 And, of course, our super producers, Olivia and Efron.

01:05:11.640 And all our viewers, thank you for tuning in.

01:05:15.060 Especially those of you who made a donation.

01:05:17.720 We really depend on that because we're not taking it out of your bank accounts

01:05:21.680 in direct withdrawal, a la Rogers, a la the mainstream media.

01:05:26.680 So, I want everybody to have a nice weekend.

01:05:29.140 We'll see you back again on Monday.

01:05:31.420 And, as always, stay safe and stay sane.

01:05:36.760 I'll tell you, if you want my opinion,

01:05:39.320 if Olivia Chow gets in, it'll be an unmitigated disaster. 1.00

01:05:42.720 Disaster.

01:05:44.300 Taxes are going to go up 25% to 30% when people can't afford.

01:05:48.480 The rent can't afford mortgages now.

01:05:51.340 You know, businesses are going to be fleeing Toronto, as far as I'm concerned.

01:05:54.860 I'll tell you, I've talked to business communities,

01:05:56.760 both myself and the previous mayor, John Tory.

01:06:00.160 People are terrified.

01:06:01.860 Businesses are terrified.

01:06:02.900 Therefore, the workers should be terrified.

01:06:04.360 Because we've seen what happens when a mayor,

01:06:09.120 she makes David Miller look like a fiscal conservative.

01:06:13.180 And companies will start fleeing.

01:06:14.780 They'll start going.

01:06:15.680 Maybe it's good news for the mayor of Burlington

01:06:17.360 because all the companies will be coming out here to the GTA.

01:06:21.020 But, folks, remember this.

01:06:23.160 God forbid Olivia Chow gets elected. 1.00

01:06:25.420 Your taxes are going up at an unprecedented rate.
