00:03:53.380 that clip. So Israel, which is already on its fourth shot. So people say, oh, I'm fully vaccinated. 0.61

00:05:51.540 It's one of the most prestigious universities in America. So this was a study from Israel published

00:06:00.740 in this academic paper, comparing SARS coronavirus to natural immunity, to vaccine-induced immunity,

00:06:13.140 reinfections versus breakthrough infections. And you can see the names of the different scientists

00:06:20.280 and doctors, really. You can see they're all Hebrew names because this was done in Israel. So

00:06:29.600 let me read abstract as a way of, I mean, summary. Background. Reports of waning, that means

00:06:39.240 falling, vaccine-induced immunity against COVID-19 have begun to surface. With that, the comparable

00:06:46.460 long-term protection conferred by previous infection with SARS coronavirus remains unclear. So they're

00:06:51.980 saying if you take the vaccine, reports of your immunity, it's falling, waning, as they say. So

00:06:59.900 they say, well, let's study natural immunity versus the falling immunity of the vaccines. Oh, this is

00:07:06.140 dangerous territory to talk about on YouTube. Methods. So this is how they conducted their experiment.

00:07:12.020 We conducted a retrospective observational study comparing three groups. COVID-naive individuals

00:07:20.180 who received a two-dose regimen of the BioNTech Pfizer. So COVID-naive means they haven't had it

00:07:25.540 yet. Two, previously infected individuals who have not been vaccinated. So the first group is people who

00:07:33.920 haven't had any contact with the vaccine or the virus. The second is people who have naturally

00:07:41.820 had the virus and then come back from it. And three, previously infected and single-dose

00:07:49.820 vaccinated individuals. Three multivariate logistic regression models, blah, blah, blah. Results.

00:08:01.260 So I'll just read one more line. In all models, we evaluated four outcomes. Infection,

00:08:05.740 symptomatic disease, hospitalization, and death. Okay. Results. COVID-19 naive vaccinees

00:08:14.920 had a 13-fold increased risk for breakthrough infection with the Delta variant compared to

00:08:24.580 those previously infected when the first event, infection or vaccination, occurred during January

00:08:30.560 February of 2021. When allowing the infection to occur at any time before vaccination, evidence of

00:08:38.000 waning natural immunity was demonstrated, though SARS-naive vaccinees had a six-fold increased risk

00:08:44.060 for breakthrough infection and a seven-fold increased risk for symptomatic disease. SARS-naive,

00:08:52.400 COVID-naive vaccinees were also at a greater risk for COVID-19-related hospitalizations. Okay.

00:08:58.020 There's some jargon in there. Let's read the conclusions.

00:09:03.000 This, can you highlight it? Yeah. This study demonstrated that natural immunity confers longer

00:09:13.660 lasting and stronger protection against infection, symptomatic disease, and hospitalization

00:09:23.580 caused by the Delta variant compared to the two-dose vaccine-induced immunity. Individuals who were

00:09:31.340 both previously infected and given a single dose gained additional protection.

00:09:39.460 As you can see, there was no competing interests. There was no external funding,

00:09:43.560 and they have some ethical declarations there. Thank you very much. So I've taken you through that.

00:09:48.440 Let me put that in very plain English. If you're naturally immune, this study out of Israel says

00:09:56.100 you have superior protection. I didn't say it. The British Medical Journal and Yale published a paper

00:10:03.020 by Israeli doctors saying it. I just took you through it. Now, did you have that clip of Fauci being asked

00:10:52.660 Israel about natural immunity, and basically the headline was that natural immunity provides a lot

00:10:58.100 of protection even better than the vaccines alone. What are people to make of that? So as we talk about

00:11:06.300 vaccine mandates, I get calls all the time. People say, I've already had COVID. I'm protected. And now

00:11:12.540 the study says maybe even more protected than the vaccine alone. Should they also get the vaccine? How do

00:11:17.800 you make the case to them? You know, that's a really good point, Sanjay. I don't have a really firm answer

00:11:24.420 for you on that. That's something that we're going to have to discuss regarding the durability of the

00:11:29.560 response. The one thing the paper from Israel didn't tell you is whether or not as high as the

00:11:35.540 protection is with natural infection, what's the durability compared to the durability of a vaccine?

00:11:41.360 So it is conceivable that you got infected, you're protected, but you may not be protected for an

00:11:46.620 indefinite period of time. So I think that is something that we need to sit down and discuss

00:11:51.460 seriously, because you very appropriately pointed out, it is an issue. And there could be an argument

00:13:43.000 of question. But you can just walk in, no prescription, no nothing. Because I think what

00:25:20.660 by the time Stephen Harper lost in 2015, he'd been around for a while. And in politics, people get tired

00:25:30.360 quite often. At least in Canada works that way. And, you know, there's a saying, friends come and

00:25:38.000 go, but enemies accumulate. I don't know if you've ever heard that saying. It's funny. It's true in 1.00
