Rebel News Podcast - DAVID MENZIES ｜ Mainstream Media at the Freedom Convoy, Patrick Brown's COVID Costs

00:00:00.000 welcome to rebel roundup ladies and gentlemen and the rest of you in which we look back at

00:00:19.760 some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favorite rebels i'm your host

00:00:24.700 david menzies well earlier this month following the dismantling of the freedom convoy in ottawa

00:00:31.580 a city news reporter went on to private property to find the place where the freedom convoy had

00:00:39.780 relocated but did he go there to report nope he went there to insult and threaten people

00:00:47.860 just wait till you see alexa lavoie's report so how much did sneaky patrick brown the mayor of

00:00:58.020 brampton pay private security guards to rat out children illegally having fun on playgrounds 0.86

00:01:06.320 would you believe more than 12 million dollars meanwhile the lying liar has ill was illegally 0.99

00:01:14.800 playing hockey with his buddies oh man how about we give this guy five minutes for being such a creep 0.97

00:01:22.480 sheila gun reed has all the details and finally letters we get your letters we get your letters

00:01:28.660 every minute of every day and i'll share some of your responses regarding a disabled firefighter

00:01:36.000 who was verbally abused and physically assaulted at a richmond hill hockey rink his crime he wasn't

00:01:44.040 wearing a face diaper and that apparently triggered the covid cairns in attendance talk about a gross

00:01:51.880 misconduct those are your rebels now let's round them up

00:01:55.720 and when covid lockdowns threatened the freedoms of families and businesses and the mental health

00:02:10.240 of canadians i was one of the only big city mayors to speak out and demand an end to restrictions

00:02:15.000 that's right patrick brown as the mayor was fencing off parks and hiring guards to keep little kids off

00:02:20.880 the soccer fields while keeping a private ice surface in a public arena for himself and his hockey

00:02:26.340 buddies to play the sport they love away from the restrictions brown imposed on the good people 0.62

00:02:30.380 of brampton it was positively trudopian so at rebel news we did what we always do now months ago we

00:02:38.260 filed for access to information about the private security contract with paladin security to brutally

00:02:44.480 enforce the lockdown in brampton at the behest of patrick brown who is now dishonestly

00:02:49.040 trying to rebrand himself as somehow anti-lockdown from the beginning we got back about 450 pages of

00:02:56.440 documents from the city of brampton regarding their communications with paladin security now if you'd

00:03:01.300 like to contribute to offset our research and filing fees head on over to rebel investigates.com

00:03:06.880 to make a donation we'll go through some of these documents today and i'll publish the documents in

00:03:12.080 full maybe some other candidates want to have their teams go through these documents maybe some

00:03:16.740 journalists got curious and they want to take a look maybe some brampton residents want to see

00:03:21.700 exactly where their property taxes are going or maybe you want to follow along in fact check me in

00:03:27.600 real time that's okay too let's get right into it page nine is a memo from paladin on covid they wanted

00:03:33.200 to cut security personnel by 25 percent so they offered to send unlicensed people instead or the city could

00:03:40.220 pay extra for actual security guards look at this we're counseling our partners where possible to develop

00:03:45.640 plans that will allow you to continue to operate and enact your pandemic plans with a 25 reduction in

00:03:51.880 staffing where that is not possible we would like to have open discussions about alternative options

00:03:58.920 such as the use of unlicensed workers for non-security functions the use of subcontractors or temporary

00:04:05.000 workers or elevated bill rates that will help us to incentivize staff to accept this work that may place

00:04:10.660 them at additional harm at this time we are proposing a pandemic bill rate of 55 per hour for

00:04:16.640 clients who are unable to utilize alternative staffing plans for the covid 19 related special

00:04:22.380 coverages if you do not engage with us to discuss potential alternative staffing strategies we will

00:04:27.920 assume that this is an acceptance of this proposed rate and we'll bill all covid 19 related coverage at

00:04:33.280 this elevated rate page 10 is an email confirming the extra fee to get all that extra security during

00:04:40.020 covid page 11 paladin is discussing possible protests in june 2020 in brampton with lots of info coming in

00:04:47.980 their hunt and wow those documents were very very interesting indeed our exclusive access to information

00:04:54.560 docs show the total cost of brown's lockout lockdown enforcers get this just the contract with paladin to help

00:05:06.420 with covid enforcement in brampton was estimated to cost in excess of 12 million dollars and

00:05:15.700 brampton officials were so keen to enforce brown's lockdown that they paid paladin a pandemic

00:05:23.940 premium a fee of 55 to 65 an hour per guard to serve as state funded snitches yeah patrick brown he's

00:05:37.180 really mr anti-lockdown isn't he has brown hit the one million mark yet in terms of the number of lies 0.87

00:05:45.320 he has uttered unbelievable and joining me now with more on pathetic patrick is the paragon of truth

00:05:53.640 in virtue herself sheila gun reed sheila uh how you doing there i'm doing great david i'm happy to

00:06:01.240 walk down memory lane with you um with regard to your patrick brown stories well you know here's the

00:06:07.620 thing about patrick brown sheila i'm sure there's some people out there oh no not another patrick brown

00:06:11.860 story um people might shrug and say who cares about patrick brown well the thing is going back to

00:06:19.020 last sunday he announced his intention to run for the leadership of the conservative party

00:06:25.820 which could potentially mean he might although i think the odds are long become the prime minister

00:06:32.820 of this country is this the kind of guy you want to see leading our great dominion sheila 0.63

00:06:38.920 well that's the thing people say well who cares about patrick brown i care because he wants to be the

00:06:44.140 prime minister and i care because he's a liar that's why i care and he expects conservatives

00:06:49.880 to set aside everything that they know about his history over i mean over forever but especially the 0.58

00:06:57.460 last two years when he gets up on a podium at his campaign launch and brags about how he was an

00:07:02.840 anti-lockdown mayor when we have documents proving that he was willing to spare no cost to enforce his

00:07:10.760 lockdown and he enforced it i think the worst part of all of this is he took out his lockdown hysteria

00:07:17.160 on brampton's children as a mother that's the part that bothers me the most was the enforcement on the

00:07:24.420 playgrounds the enforcement at the soccer fields at the soccer center that he was chaining up the

00:07:30.220 playgrounds sending guards like you said to the tune of 55 to 65 bucks an hour to make sure that no

00:07:36.740 little kids got the wrong idea but there were other things that were so atrocious that he was doing

00:07:41.440 or so actually to use the language of the bureaucrats who saw the bills coming in from paladin security

00:07:47.980 exorbitant uh patrick brown was so exorbitant in his enforcement that he was sending security guards

00:07:55.000 to the municipal cemetery to make sure that social distancing was enforced during uh funerals he was

00:08:02.780 also much like toronto mayor's john tory sending people to make sure that nobody was standing too

00:08:09.620 closely outside at the brampton parks when the trees were blooming and he was worried that people were

00:08:16.240 going to come out and stand too close and take pictures um and maybe i don't know sniff too close

00:08:21.900 to each other to sniff the blossoms or whatever tree lookers do i mean he was just so concerned

00:08:27.860 about enforcing the lockdown that he was willing to spend whatever it took and in the end the bill

00:08:35.300 was 12.1 i think a million dollars of brampton tax dollars to punish citizens who just wanted to live

00:08:44.520 a little bit outside you know and sheila here's the thing i mean some apologists of uh patrick brown will

00:08:50.520 say well these were little things in the grand scheme of things uh these were temporary things

00:08:57.120 but i say no it speaks to character and it's not so much that you shut down all these playgrounds and

00:09:06.500 flower gardens and what have you sheila but the fact that you would go before a crowd announcing

00:09:13.040 your quest for uh conservative party leader and completely 100 percent lie about your record because

00:09:22.860 sheila i swear i don't think there was more of a pro lockdown mayor in all of canada than patrick brown

00:09:30.520 yeah that's my problem here a lot of people didn't know much about the coronavirus pandemic in the early

00:09:40.440 days so naturally people overreacted yeah but that's not what patrick brown is saying here and even when

00:09:47.820 more information came in he continued to overreact with enforcing the lockdown outside at the playgrounds

00:09:54.700 and at the dog parks he sent people to the dog park to make sure i don't know dog owners were social

00:09:59.540 distancing outside again at the dog park it's the lying it's the trying to rebrand himself even though

00:10:07.280 an entire city lived in a police state enforced by patrick brown using outside security because the city

00:10:16.500 didn't even have the resources to do the things that patrick brown wanted to do to the residents of

00:10:21.040 brampton and secondarily it goes to a history of lying because now we're not only lying about how we

00:10:28.240 treated the pandemic he's trying to say that he was you know this beacon of anti-lockdownism municipally

00:10:35.440 when all the other mayors in the country were so hard locked down a lot of mayors i think would

00:10:42.160 would have balked at just how uh pro lockdown patrick brown was but it's the history of lying

00:10:50.160 because when you caught him at that hockey arena yeah with his hockey bag and all of his hockey buddies

00:10:58.000 because he was definitely 100 going in to play shinny hockey even though he was banning the kids

00:11:06.400 of brampton from playing hockey they could only practice again follow the science they tell me i

00:11:12.920 don't know what the difference is there i guess coronavirus jumps out and strangles your grandma

00:11:16.840 when you keep score but anyway he lied through his teeth and said oh i'm just there to inspect the ice

00:11:22.980 surface with his hockey bag and all of his buddies caught on camera lying lying lying and he still continues 0.98

00:11:29.580 to lie so yeah this is a character problem and here's the thing when you are a compulsive liar sheila 0.96

00:11:35.180 you actually lose track of the lies so that you're going around in vicious circles when i approached 0.55

00:11:42.460 patrick brown you see on the video uh hi david menzies uh rebel news and he said in media that i

00:11:50.160 pretended to be uh from something called maple leafs tv which has never existed there was leafs tv and now

00:11:57.580 now it's been rebranded as leafs nation tv so he couldn't even get the lie um you know uh it's straight

00:12:05.160 in terms of factual uh evidence and then as you said he said he was here to improve the facility

00:12:12.000 and i don't know about you sheila when i'm checking the oil levels of zambonis and the freon levels i'm

00:12:17.300 always wearing a three thousand dollar armani suit but the thing is hockey bag too and bring my hockey

00:12:22.380 bag here but here's the thing if you're here there to uh inspect the facility well start inspecting it

00:12:28.660 he ran away the moment he encountered me so he can't keep track of the false narrative because

00:12:35.640 there's so many lies upon lies that even patrick brown doesn't know uh what he's stating here's the

00:12:41.640 thing sheila in the bigger picture it will find out in september of course uh when the conservatives

00:12:47.240 have the uh leadership race the um what do you think the unspoken strategy here is um i think

00:12:55.160 if patrick brown i'm not saying this out of my personal dealings with him i'm again speaking of

00:13:00.620 his character and the way he's always lied and flip-flopped and betrayed people if because of

00:13:07.800 some cosmic fluke he were to be the leader of the conservative party my god sheila i would pine for 0.97

00:13:14.220 the glory days of uh erin o'toole and andrew sheer what i'm saying is surely that he's not a true

00:13:21.660 contender is this all about putting his support to jean chariot which he has a non-aggression deal

00:13:27.420 with so that patrick brown i don't know gets to run as an mp in the next election yeah i think this

00:13:34.060 is him gathering up nostalgic pc conservative supporters for jean chariot i think he's what

00:13:42.580 we would describe as a kamikaze candidate here in alberta where it's basically a campaign to gather

00:13:49.000 support and then direct those supporters to the actual candidate and that is jean chariot now jean

00:13:57.040 chariot is elected leader of the conservative party of canada justin trudeau can change his title to

00:14:03.560 king of canada because he will be prime minister for as long as he chooses because i cannot see

00:14:10.440 western conservatives or even you know conservatives in ontario um who oppose the carbon tax supporting

00:14:20.800 jean chariot because jean chariot is not only pro-carbon tax he was on the eco-fiscal commission

00:14:28.080 which existed to push carbon taxation and carbon pricing as they call it in this bizarre ponzi scheme

00:14:37.620 where they allege that if you pay more for everything you'll have more money in your pocket

00:14:41.560 um that was what he did so you cannot detach jean chariot from justin trudeau's carbon tax because

00:14:50.400 he was the guy pushing it and so yeah i mean i think it'll be catastrophic for the country and for

00:14:58.560 families if jean chariot becomes the leader of the conservative party of canada and like i say in my

00:15:05.420 video i actually i don't have a horse in the race here because i don't have a lot of faith in

00:15:11.100 politicians generally speaking i just don't like when normal people are lied to and i don't like

00:15:17.640 when politicians bring in policies and push policies that take more money out of normal people's pockets

00:15:23.400 that's where i fall down on my political spectrum 100 well we're going to watch this race more closely

00:15:29.760 than any other conservative party race i would imagine she'll end uh all i have to say is if it comes

00:15:34.640 down to those two is the final two uh all i can think of is the tagline for the movie uh aliens

00:15:40.820 versus predator which was no matter which side wins we lose if it's chariot or brown yeah are those guys

00:15:49.100 are they like plants for the western separatist movement because if i don't want to win that's

00:15:55.880 going to experience a bit of an explosion where uh western conservatives look upon the other part of 0.82

00:16:01.540 the country with horror and say i'm not sure that we need to be tied to this crazy siamese twin of

00:16:07.840 ours anymore cut us apart it it is terrifying the potential for things to go wrong let's hope

00:16:16.060 they go right for a change sheila excellent piece excellent research thank you so much thanks david

00:16:22.440 have a great weekend you too my friend and that was sheila gun reed somewhere in the northern

00:16:27.220 hinterland of alberta keep it here more rebel roundup to come right after this

00:16:32.440 that was a lie that was a lie you said you were never going to move and you moved

00:16:55.780 but that's fake that's a fake protest that's a fake protest i don't care about that but why

00:17:04.280 did you guys leave downtown you guys lost you guys lost may i please answer that question you know

00:17:10.960 what i'll i'd like to answer that question but i'd like to know why with your fake eyebrows that you 0.50

00:17:16.720 said that eyebrows do not ever say that oh you don't ever say that freedom man freedom you know

00:17:23.760 what i'm saying right freedom of speech right whatever he wants you're right i have yeah yeah

00:17:28.180 there you go baby sir sir i have no eyebrows because i have alopecia areata my hair oh yes yes

00:17:34.660 i'm sure i'm sure you're you're suffering what i'm saying here that's me that's fine this is how

00:17:40.800 i look why did why did you guys say you're not going anywhere this is my life then you left

00:17:46.260 i didn't say a thing what i asked you was if you checked in at the front okay so what happened is

00:17:51.880 that we um were going to exit 88 to the embrum site we wanted to see how they were doing and if

00:17:58.280 people were uh there on the site and as we were leaving um a man from city news uh came onto the

00:18:05.340 property and he refused to check in at the front gate so a gentleman jumped in front of his car and

00:18:11.540 i asked my driver to stop and to so that we could get out and ascertain the situation and right away

00:18:18.480 the man from where the video starts the man was just angry he came with lots of vitriol lots of anger

00:18:25.220 lots of accusations and uh and it just escalated from there what i say you guys said you're never 0.86

00:18:31.200 leaving downtown but you did wow what outrageous arrogance and what incredible ignorance on display

00:18:50.460 by city news reporter nigel newlove actually he might want to change his name to nigel new job

00:18:57.840 because this sluggo is now looking for employment elsewhere after city news decided that this guy was

00:19:05.640 even too odious for them to employ he yikes and joining me now with more on this story

00:19:12.160 is alexa lavoix from quebec city alexa how you doing there i'm pretty good pretty busy but pretty good

00:19:20.040 that's great well access so many angles to your most recent video regarding this guy but i think

00:19:26.620 one of the main issues here was that new love was so arrogant and pompous that he thought he could

00:19:35.940 get away with such outrageously unprofessional behavior but you know i think we owe him a debt of

00:19:44.500 gratitude because he allowed us to see just how much contempt mainstream media lapdogs have for the

00:19:53.620 people in the freedom convoys what say you so me my impression of that is like they were telling that

00:20:00.400 um okay the journalists from the mainstream media were not well received uh the freedom convoy but when

00:20:07.180 we look at the behavior of some of them i would not say that all of them are like that but if

00:20:12.260 if the people bring everybody in the same package and say like oh you see like if this person is like

00:20:19.000 that but all the other journalists from mainstream can be like that um i think it's pretty uh a bad uh

00:20:25.440 thing for especially for the behavior and as well like when we know that he came on the private property

00:20:33.080 it was it was it was not allowed it was not invite and it came to shout of people and sold them

00:20:41.020 harass them and uh showing like some violence towards them um i thought i don't think like uh it's

00:20:48.940 appropriate i don't at all no it wasn't appropriate and you know um and it was certainly unprofessional

00:20:55.340 and he was very belligerent i'm curious alexa you know we're not fans here of cancel culture

00:21:02.640 and we see so many people just um you know eliminated for lack of a better word for committing

00:21:10.560 a thought crime i'm curious do you think him being fired was an appropriate penalty or maybe should he

00:21:16.880 been suspended for a few months without pay would that have sent a message to him as well

00:21:22.400 um i think being fired is uh the good thing to do uh because as we know that i'm sorry but he

00:21:32.620 wouldn't probably not so find or work in this film uh pretty soon because he needs to reflect on what

00:21:40.340 he did and just living without like money it will probably do it again and again and again because

00:21:48.120 as we saw we can see that it was not his first time probably he knew what he was doing and he knew

00:21:55.620 what he was uh saying as well and especially when he actually insult that woman who had the immune

00:22:02.580 uh deficit uh like a disease when she was young and they're laughing about that that just showed that

00:22:10.260 he's a mean person no you're 100 right in fact i really don't know what he was trying to do

00:22:16.720 being so confrontational being so mean you know uh what i subscribe to when i'm out in the field

00:22:22.880 alexa and i think you do too and our other colleagues like sheila and drea and what have you

00:22:27.980 is um kill them with kindness right uh be friendly let them say what they want to say but he was so

00:22:36.160 you know outrageously confrontational um i i guess he forgot he was a news reporter 0.97

00:22:42.280 uh for for a brief period of time tell me the one thing that really really bugs me about uh your

00:22:47.860 story though uh alexa is the lady you interviewed stated to you that she said to city news not not

00:22:54.940 new love but somebody else at the organization that i would love to sit down with you and give you an

00:23:00.760 interview about our side and they said um no and it bugs me alexa because okay maybe city news

00:23:08.880 doesn't agree with her viewpoint maybe they think she's spewing all kinds of falsehoods

00:23:15.480 that's fair but the fact is she is a member of this convoy protest she has a voice why not let her 1.00

00:23:24.540 say what she has to say and let the audience be the judge well we know why it's really it's obviously

00:23:32.760 do they really like say out loud that they fire uh this uh reporter did they say like really

00:23:41.000 to everybody no nobody has talked about the violence that's come from a reporter and nobody

00:23:48.980 has talked about it no media no legacy media have talked about it but if it was the side of the

00:23:55.940 protestor who did that to him every channel will have talked about it but from him being fired for

00:24:02.880 his behavior and all he was treating people but giving her an interview will actually show to the

00:24:11.620 world what their reporter did to them and that is not what they want to show yeah so it's all about

00:24:19.540 as always with the mainstream media controlling the narrative they just want to uh have one

00:24:25.480 particular slice of propaganda get out there they're not interested in the other side of the

00:24:29.980 story which is the rationale for our very existence so i see what you're saying alexa one last thing

00:24:36.260 has nothing to do with uh mr uh new love or new job as i call him um i keep getting all kinds of

00:24:44.120 questions from uh audience members about you alexa how are things going regarding your action with the

00:24:52.140 uh ottawa police service in terms of that horrific assault you endured um back when the freedom convoy

00:25:01.100 was being shut down when you got shot in the thigh point blank with that uh canister what what's the

00:25:07.740 latest the latest is uh the complaint i've been filled first um we have been sent to ciu investigation

00:25:16.600 but i because the siu are not doing investigation on rcmp we needed to send it uh to them uh for a private

00:25:28.460 investigation on rcmp we did fill as well the um the lawsuit with the our lawyer um pretty well nice job done

00:25:40.360 there um so for now well it's waiting waiting for um that they would take a charge of it then uh they

00:25:50.800 will call us for this this this suit suit well alexa the wheels of justice grind slowly but we will get

00:26:00.220 justice for you indeed that was an outrageous assault on your person and the way the police service in

00:26:05.560 ottawa handled it in the beginning at least was absolutely grotesque alexa thank you so much for

00:26:12.240 this report uh you have a great weekend my friend thank you you too as usual and folks that was alexa

00:26:20.680 lavoix in quebec city keep it here more of rebel roundup to come right after this

00:26:25.280 this lady near here felt the need to point me out for not wearing a mask this man interceded to

00:26:43.600 now he's getting coaching in my space can you put the phone away no i can't yes you can no i can't ma'am

00:26:50.120 would you stay six feet back would you stay six feet

00:26:55.120 back ma'am would you stay six feet back would you stay six feet back a mask you're infringing on my 1.00
