00:00:00.000 Hello, my Rebels. Today is a special Labor Day edition. I'll have some opening remarks about

00:00:04.240 the election, but then we'll throw to a compilation of some of our best reports of the federal

00:00:08.700 election so far. It really is worth getting the video version of the podcast, especially for these

00:00:14.660 in-the-field reports. Just go to rebelnewsplus.com, and you know what? I'll give you a free promo code.

00:00:21.340 If you type in election, you'll get it for free, a one-month free trial, and my hope is you'll like

00:00:26.760 it enough that you'll keep paying to subscribe after that. It's only eight bucks a month after

00:00:30.680 that. All right, here it is, the best of our election coverage so far.

00:00:48.840 Tonight, a recap of the election so far. It's September 6th, and this is The Ezra LeVant Show.

00:00:56.760 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?

00:01:00.820 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.

00:01:04.900 The only thing I have to say to the government about why I publish it is because it's my bloody

00:01:09.780 right to do so.

00:01:15.400 Hello, my friends. It's Labor Day, and it's also the middle of the Canadian federal election,

00:01:21.600 election that Justin Trudeau did opportunistically, because it hasn't even been two years since the

00:01:28.100 last election. I think he thought he could sneak through. After all, so many Canadian governments

00:01:33.840 were, incumbents were re-elected. The provincial parties that went to the polls during the pandemic

00:01:40.340 were re-elected. That started to stumble when there was an election loss in Atlantic Canada,

00:01:45.680 and the Conservatives beat the Liberals. And I think things have been going very poorly

00:01:49.460 for Justin Trudeau. I don't want to give too much credit to the media party,

00:01:54.180 because they don't deserve much credit. But there's actually been a few moments when

00:01:58.000 media party journalists, even the odd CBC journalist,

00:02:03.300 has asked critical questions of Justin Trudeau. I never thought I'd live long enough to see it.

00:02:07.860 And there's protesters on the ground for Trudeau. I think there always would be,

00:02:12.540 and Trudeau thinks that'll help him, but I don't know if it's helping him. I think it's sort of a

00:02:16.200 reminder that there's a lot of anger and rage against the government. And when people see some

00:02:20.480 people heckling and protesting, it validates their own. Because if the only way you perceive

00:02:25.060 the world is through the media, and everything's happy-happy, you think, oh, maybe I'm the weird

00:02:30.240 one for being upset about things. But when you see hecklers, some of them are quite rude, by the way,

00:02:35.300 it gives you a license to think, well, maybe it's not all happy times. Every poll I have seen for the

00:02:41.360 past week has put the liberals behind from as little as one point to, I don't know, seven or

00:02:47.240 eight points. There's still, you know, a couple weeks is still an eternity in politics. But it

00:02:51.960 looks like Trudeau is extremely unlikely to get the majority he thought he would. And he might not

00:02:58.300 even have the minority government. It might be Aaron O'Toole with a minority. Anyways, it's very

00:03:04.160 interesting. I'm depressed in that between Aaron O'Toole and Justin Trudeau, I can find no meaningful

00:03:10.980 policy differences. The latest is an announcement by Aaron O'Toole en français in the French debate

00:03:17.680 last week, that he will keep in place Justin Trudeau's assault rifle ban. All right. I mean,

00:03:23.480 it's not a huge issue for me, but there's a lot of conservative, I mean, I think it's an important

00:03:28.340 issue. It's, I wouldn't put it in my top three right now. I think the lockdowns, the pandemic,

00:03:33.300 freedom of speech is an issue. But the reason I think that's an important issue is it shows that

00:03:38.700 Aaron O'Toole will sell out anyone and anything just for momentary, momentarily pleasing the center

00:03:46.260 of the universe and the media and Quebec. And reasonable firearms legislation has been part of

00:03:54.460 the Conservative Party platform for 25 years or more since Alan Rock first brought in his gun registry.

00:04:00.180 And just to throw that away in a heated moment in Quebec to try and suck up to them shows you can't

00:04:06.560 trust anything Aaron O'Toole says. He's with Trudeau on the carbon tax. He's with Trudeau on open

00:04:12.100 borders migration. He hasn't said a word against the lockdown. He hasn't said a word against the deep 0.86

00:04:17.320 internet regulation that's coming. And now he's in favor of an assault weapon ban. I really don't know

00:04:24.140 the difference between Trudeau and O'Toole, do you? That said, we've been doing great, great reporting

00:04:29.640 across this country. So many of our reporters, 17 different reporters in the field from coast to

00:04:36.820 coast and even up to the Arctic. So today's show is going to be a collection of excerpts from the best

00:04:44.000 of Rebel News reporting on the election so far. I'm going to say goodbye to you now, but enjoy these

00:04:50.140 clips from our reporters in the election so far.

00:05:20.140 lonely occasions,áveis as well!

00:05:25.120 healthy food Hmmm!

00:05:38.460 happy to be with you Woman 1! 0.99

00:05:43.760 happy to be with you availability

00:05:48.140 Thank you all again, but also thank you all again for stopping us.

00:05:55.140 You know, that's been the story of this past year.

00:05:58.140 Canadians stepping up during an incredibly difficult time.

00:06:02.140 Let's give a huge round of applause for her amazing Canadians around. 0.99

00:06:09.140 Because you know, this year has been difficult.

00:06:13.140 But people had each other's backs.

00:06:15.140 They were there for each other.

00:06:17.140 Canadians stepped up time and time again.

00:06:20.140 They're right there across the country.

00:06:22.140 They're stepping up to get vaccinated, to keep each other safe.

00:06:26.140 And that's how you get through it.

00:06:40.140 Thank you guys.

00:06:41.140 Trudeau, how long for vaccine passport?

00:06:43.140 Trudeau, how long?

00:06:47.140 How long?

00:06:49.140 How long?

00:06:50.140 How long?

00:06:51.140 How long?

00:06:52.140 How long?

00:06:54.140 How long?

00:06:55.140 How long?

00:07:01.140 How long?

00:07:02.140 How long?

00:07:11.140 How long?

00:07:12.140 no media questions at all no media questions we waited gee i don't know at least two hours

00:07:23.880 and will not answer any questions by the media just loves his cheerleaders

00:07:32.020 the trudeau cheerleaders look at them all they love it

00:07:43.980 trudeau had people waiting out here for i don't in excess of two hours oh wow yeah what did you

00:07:50.940 think of his brief appearance well it was typical rhetoric from him he said nothing and

00:07:56.420 kind of just pumped himself up more than anything so and i thought it was interesting when he said

00:08:02.960 it's a good time for us to listen to everyone's opinions and take everyone's ideas into account

00:08:08.320 which is obviously the total opposite of what he's been doing through his whole

00:08:12.640 well one and a half terms as prime minister so it's it's pretty ironic

00:08:18.260 were you impressed with trudeau's speech there yeah i was what about his policy is the mode the

00:08:24.860 thing that compels you to support him i like a lot of his policies

00:08:29.120 we're going to pass the last question in presence with rebel news

00:08:36.060 yes hello my name is alexa for rebel news in fact my question today is to know your position

00:08:42.800 regarding the vaccine at the federal level but also provincial because we know very well

00:08:47.780 that in québec the measures should be in place by the 1st september and that the rights

00:08:54.840 of certain people will be brimed on the level of measures plisier in fact

00:09:01.100 des emplacements and establishments plaisir for certain people and also

00:09:04.500 at the federal level we know that on the level of transports aériens and

00:09:09.180 on the level of trains that the rights also will be brimed what is your position

00:09:13.100 in relation to that you m'envoyer sincerely désolée madame because

00:09:16.260 that being that your question appears all at that reasonable I maintain the

00:09:18.840 policy to not respond to questions rebel news and what is your question in

00:09:43.500 so they refuse to answer the end the question of rebel news you just saw it

00:09:53.160 straight up I asked two simple questions really fair enough about the vaccine

00:10:00.000 passport at federal and provincial and about the censorship and federal about

00:10:06.240 the internet and they refuse both of my questions so it's simple people refuse to answer to my

00:10:16.080 question are in the side of the government right now so they choose who have the answer who can ask

00:10:25.740 the question and this is actually a censorship of which media can have the answer or not so I will

00:10:37.740 never have my answer because they don't want to answer to me this is the party Bloc Québécois

00:10:44.400 it's just interesting to know why you refuse to answer to my questions monsieur it's just simple questions

00:10:51.240 I think there are a lot of people who try to answer to some questions you are in the electoral camp

00:10:56.400 you should answer to any media in this moment

00:10:59.400 I don't get it

00:11:06.660 all right

00:11:32.500 all right

00:11:56.500 Wow, another plane!

00:12:00.500 Not another plane, but another.

00:12:03.500 And for an old military like me,

00:12:05.500 an old officer in the United States,

00:12:08.500 it's magnificent.

00:12:10.500 Hello, how are you going?

00:12:12.500 I'm going well.

00:12:13.500 Yes, I'm going well.

00:12:14.500 I would like to know,

00:12:16.500 do you think that the vaccine vaccine

00:12:19.500 should have a date of end?

00:12:21.500 It's a question for the province,

00:12:23.500 that there is a different approach

00:12:25.500 in each province.

00:12:26.500 Here, a vaccine passport,

00:12:29.500 it's the same thing in Manitoba,

00:12:31.500 but it's different in Ontario.

00:12:33.500 And I'm going to always respect

00:12:35.500 the competencies,

00:12:37.500 the programs in the province.

00:12:40.500 But for me,

00:12:41.500 we have to deliver the vaccines,

00:12:44.500 the test and the test rapid,

00:12:46.500 and have an approach

00:12:48.500 for the travel abroad.

00:12:51.500 But the decisions in the province

00:12:54.500 are the decisions for the province.

00:12:57.500 But what do you think,

00:12:58.500 the fact that they demand

00:13:00.500 two doses of vaccines

00:13:01.500 for planes and trains?

00:13:03.500 Do you support all that?

00:13:04.500 No, like I said,

00:13:05.500 it's possible.

00:13:06.500 The vaccines are very important.

00:13:08.500 It's effective.

00:13:10.500 But it's also possible

00:13:12.500 to have a test and dépistage

00:13:14.500 quotidien for some situations

00:13:17.500 where people are not vaccinated.

00:13:20.500 Do you want a photo?

00:13:22.500 Yes.

00:13:23.500 OK.

00:13:32.500 Thank you for answering my questions.

00:13:34.500 Thank you.

00:13:35.500 Thank you.

00:13:36.500 Thank you.

00:13:37.500 Thank you.

00:13:38.500 Thank you.

00:13:39.500 Thank you.

00:13:40.500 Thank you.

00:13:41.500 Thank you.

00:13:42.500 Thank you.

00:13:43.500 Thank you.

00:13:44.500 Thank you.

00:13:45.500 Thank you.

00:13:46.500 Thank you.

00:13:47.500 I arrived to the event

00:13:48.500 and filled the form

00:13:49.500 just like everyone else,

00:13:51.500 but was asked to leave

00:13:52.500 by the property manager

00:13:54.500 who said that she had to ask me to leave.

00:13:56.500 Hello, sir.

00:13:57.500 Hi.

00:13:58.500 I'm Brenda

00:13:59.500 and this is a private event

00:14:01.500 so we will have to ask you to leave, please, sir.

00:14:04.500 Why?

00:14:05.500 Because this is a private event, sir,

00:14:07.500 and it's only invited guests.

00:14:09.500 Well, I came here as media

00:14:11.500 and I wanted to ask some questions

00:14:12.500 to Justin Trudeau.

00:14:13.500 Great job.

00:14:14.500 So you're not going to allow me to do that?

00:14:15.500 My understanding is that we need to ask you to leave, sir.

00:14:18.500 Wow.

00:14:19.500 Okay.

00:14:20.500 Thank you very much.

00:14:21.500 How about other media?

00:14:22.500 Because I filled the information.

00:14:25.500 She filled the information.

00:14:26.500 Why am I being asked to leave but not her?

00:14:28.500 My understanding, sir,

00:14:30.500 is it's only invited guests

00:14:32.500 and this is private property.

00:14:33.500 Wow.

00:14:34.500 That was no surprise to me

00:14:36.500 given that I'm not their media.

00:14:38.500 If you can stay here,

00:14:40.500 that's great.

00:14:41.500 I'm going to bring my media closer a bit,

00:14:43.500 but I would like you to stay here.

00:14:45.500 Your media?

00:14:46.500 I went there to document this event

00:14:48.500 and ask him a couple of questions

00:14:50.500 related to his latest speeches.

00:14:52.500 I don't know.

00:14:53.500 When I think about the biggest,

00:14:55.500 most important economic policy

00:14:56.500 this government,

00:14:57.500 if re-elected, would move forward,

00:14:59.500 you'll forgive me

00:15:00.500 if I don't think about monetary policy.

00:15:02.500 But once again,

00:15:03.500 since I was not allowed to ask it properly,

00:15:05.500 I had to yell.

00:15:07.500 Prime Minister,

00:15:08.500 do you know the meaning of inflation?

00:15:11.500 Why should the poor vote for you

00:15:16.500 when your policies are creating inflation?

00:15:20.500 Let's go.

00:15:21.500 To counter the she-session 1.00

00:15:24.500 and turn it into a she-covery. 1.00

00:15:27.500 What does she-covery mean?

00:15:29.500 What's the meaning of she-covery?

00:15:31.500 I did not get an answer from the PM,

00:15:33.500 so I asked the liberal staffer.

00:15:35.500 Do you know the meaning of she-covery?

00:15:37.500 She-covery? 1.00

00:15:38.500 Yeah.

00:15:39.500 What does that mean?

00:15:40.500 She-covery? 1.00

00:15:41.500 Yeah.

00:15:42.500 That's not a word.

00:15:43.500 Yes, it is.

00:15:44.500 Well, Justin Trudeau used it just yesterday.

00:15:46.500 Yeah, he said she-covery

00:15:48.500 and then he said she-session.

00:15:50.500 What are the meanings of these words?

00:15:52.500 City?

00:15:53.500 I don't know.

00:15:54.500 Yeah, nobody knows.

00:15:55.500 The whole nation wonders.

00:15:57.500 As this woman was yelling vaccine-related concerns, 0.71

00:16:01.500 unfortunately we cannot air what she yelled

00:16:03.500 because otherwise YouTube will delete our channel.

00:16:06.500 Liberal staffers formed a line in front of her

00:16:09.500 and the more she yelled,

00:16:11.500 the more the staffers cheered and clapped.

00:16:13.500 .

00:16:26.500 Prime Minister Trudeau!

00:16:29.500 Answer for your actions!

00:16:31.500 As you try to raise your concerns, the liberal party members, they form the blockade in front

00:16:44.400 of you. And as you were trying to ask questions, they were raising their voices, they were

00:16:49.640 cheering and clapping. As more you raise your voice, the more they cheered and clapped.

00:16:56.080 Isn't that a form of censorship?

00:16:57.920 Yeah, it is a form of censorship, actually.

00:16:59.760 Yeah, laugh all you want, laugh all you want.

00:17:03.300 I am, I say, laugh all you want.

00:17:06.500 What's your name?

00:17:07.540 What's your name? 0.83

00:17:09.040 Laugh all you want.

00:17:09.920 I came from Turkey and this is the same thing the Turkish president's bodyguards do to protesters.

00:17:17.420 They yell at them so that they don't raise their concerns, so they won't be heard.

00:17:21.600 Ha, ha, ha, they laughed.

00:17:24.120 But I didn't say anything funny.

00:17:25.620 This is in fact a tactic that is regularly employed by Turkish president's army of bodyguards towards protesters.

00:17:32.340 In any event, as I was waiting for the prime minister to come back to his bus for departure,

00:17:59.940 a group of indigenous rights protesters showed up who challenged Trudeau's legitimacy. 0.99

00:18:05.480 The f*** the body is in the tree! 0.98

00:18:07.800 We are children's justice! 1.00

00:18:09.320 No! 1.00

00:18:09.780 F***! 1.00

00:18:10.300 We are not going to f*** the bodyguards! 1.00

00:18:11.400 We are not going to take the issue! 0.96

00:18:13.240 We are not going to take the issue! 0.99

00:18:13.740 You are such an unsafe person! 0.93

00:18:16.280 On this land! 0.98

00:18:18.020 Your power is illegitimate!

00:18:19.940 And the police around you are illegitimate!

00:18:24.940 We have no power on stolen land!

00:18:28.400 I don't know about that.

00:18:30.600 I guess we're not here.

00:18:33.240 Do not push on my body!

00:18:57.440 Do not touch my body!

00:18:59.100 Do not touch my body!

00:19:06.100 If the prime minister cannot do anything, that would be helpful!

00:19:11.100 Step back! 0.99

00:19:13.100 Please document this!

00:19:15.100 We are unarmed!

00:19:17.100 We are not touching these officers!

00:19:19.100 We are not doing anything illegal!

00:19:21.100 This is public property!

00:19:23.100 And on top of that, this is unceded land!

00:19:25.100 We are allowed to gather!

00:19:27.100 Where we want to gather!

00:19:29.100 When we want to gather!

00:19:31.100 We are allowed to gather!

00:19:33.100 Where we want to gather!

00:19:35.100 When we want to gather!

00:19:37.100 These cops do not get to tell us where we stand!

00:19:41.100 This land is unceded!

00:19:43.100 And that patch on you, that static police pack, is illegitimate!

00:19:47.100 Like your authority!

00:19:49.100 Like your authority!

00:19:51.100 It's illegitimate!

00:19:52.100 I'm going to stand here!

00:19:53.100 This is where I want to stand right now!

00:19:55.100 This is where I feel like standing!

00:20:01.100 Beautiful!

00:20:02.100 Great!

00:20:03.100 I'm just going to keep that.

00:20:04.100 There's another way around!

00:20:05.100 You can't do that for very long!

00:20:06.100 Get there! 0.80

00:20:07.100 Wow!

00:20:08.100 Sweet! 0.95

00:20:09.100 You can see the picture!

00:20:12.100 I'm standing!

00:20:13.100 Yes!

00:20:14.100 I'm standing!

00:20:15.100 I'm standing!

00:20:17.100 I'm standing!

00:20:18.100 You can do that!

00:20:19.100 I'm standing!

00:20:20.100 And I'm standing!

00:20:21.100 I'm standing!

00:20:22.100 I'm standing!

00:20:23.100 I'm standing!

00:20:24.100 I'm standing!

00:20:25.100 I'm standing!

00:20:26.100 This is a reminder because I don't know what these cops are going to do next to me! 0.90

00:20:30.100 But I just want to remind you that Justin Trudeau is in this bus right here!

00:20:35.100 And we're standing in front of it!

00:20:37.100 All we are doing is standing in front of this bus!

00:20:41.100 Nothing that we are doing is illegal!

00:20:44.100 Nothing we are doing is violent!

00:20:46.100 I have nothing on me that could harm him!

00:20:49.100 He didn't even acknowledge them!

00:20:50.100 Listen to their grievances!

00:20:52.100 Just say hello!

00:20:54.100 Just give us a few words about what he's doing here!

00:20:57.100 And if he's paying attention to the old road blogging!

00:21:00.100 That's it!

00:21:01.100 It's really simple!

00:21:03.100 I have nothing on me!

00:21:04.100 I'm not going to hurt him!

00:21:06.100 I just want to be acknowledged!

00:21:07.100 I want to be heard!

00:21:13.100 Instead, he just looked away and hid inside the bus for half an hour!

00:21:18.100 The violence they ensue!

00:21:21.100 The violence they ensue!

00:21:24.100 Do you see how tiny I am?

00:21:27.100 This is what they do!

00:21:31.100 We say, that's poor!

00:21:34.100 That is sad!

00:21:36.100 Because their spirits have been rid of their bodies!

00:21:40.100 They are not even human anymore!

00:21:42.100 This man is not even human anymore! 0.81

00:21:47.100 They perpetuate the violence of this country! 0.98

00:21:50.100 This fake country! 1.00

00:21:53.100 And he sits in his butt and dismisses us! 1.00

00:21:57.100 As if we're not right in front of him! 0.99

00:22:00.100 But from what we see in the media, that this is a progressive and tolerant leader who pays

00:22:06.100 great attention to indigenous issues!

00:22:08.100 That was on my reserve!

00:22:09.100 Where he laid those flowers and that teddy bear!

00:22:12.100 He did that for a photo-op to people!

00:22:14.100 From my reserve, are uncomfortable!

00:22:22.100 Just carrying on that legacy of Papa Trudeau, of assimilation and genocide,

00:22:28.100 it has not ended with Justin Trudeau!

00:22:32.100 So as you know, I was in the middle of starting a party when Trudeau did his vanity election call

00:22:37.100 And so we had some quick decisions to make about sort of, you know what to do, right?

00:22:41.100 And so I decided that I would run here in Banff Airdrie for several reasons

00:22:47.100 One, I felt that I'd like to make sure that our movement had an anchor point in the West

00:22:52.100 And also because, in all honesty, the MP in this riding, Blake Richards, he's the whip of the party

00:22:57.100 He's, you know, carrying O'Toole's water out here

00:23:00.100 He's doing all the dirty work for O'Toole out here

00:23:02.100 If anybody in Alberta deserves to be targeted first and foremost, it's this guy

00:23:06.100 We want to make sure, you know, I'm pulling a lot of support in other areas

00:23:11.100 But I didn't really want to go against an MP that's, you know, doing a better job

00:23:15.100 I wanted to go against someone who symbolically represents the, you know, the rotten leadership of this party

00:23:21.100 And so, can you maybe first off, I know people are wondering, talk about, has there been hang-ups?

00:23:26.100 You maybe mentioned that you thought your federal party would be well underway by now

00:23:30.100 Has there been sort of institutional hang-ups preventing that from taking place?

00:23:33.100 Well, it is true that Elections Canada has not yet approved the party

00:23:37.100 We anticipate actually that it'll be soon

00:23:40.100 But it's not soon enough to run candidates under that banner in this election

00:23:45.100 It has to be approved prior to writ day to do that

00:23:48.100 So, it is what it is, but we're not, I mean, I'm not a type of guy that just sits around and twiddles my thumbs

00:23:53.100 So, we're going to move forward anyways

00:23:55.100 We're going to be running some candidates as independents under our banner

00:23:59.100 And stay tuned for more announcements to come in the days and weeks to come

00:24:04.100 Wonderful, and one of the things that we think we really need to emphasize during this election

00:24:09.100 We were just attempting to attend a Justin Trudeau event

00:24:12.100 It was all done in secret

00:24:14.100 There were no questions permitted

00:24:16.100 What sort of guarantees can we have from you or anyone running under the banner of your party

00:24:19.100 About politicians answering actual questions from independent and non-bought-off media?

00:24:25.100 Well, most of the media that I do is with independent media

00:24:28.100 Although the CBC was here tonight and I did an interview with them

00:24:31.100 My general rule is to do interviews when I'm asked

00:24:36.100 Unless it's on a frivolous subject or things like that

00:24:38.100 So, I don't think I've ever declined a rebel interview or, you know, an independent media interview

00:24:45.100 And I don't plan on doing so

00:24:47.100 And I can let you know that we just left a Justin Trudeau event

00:24:51.100 They maybe had about one-tenth of your attendance

00:24:53.100 Wow

00:24:54.100 So, congratulations on the draw tonight

00:24:56.100 And we'll certainly be sure to touch base

00:24:58.100 And if you have any updates, please be sure to let us know

00:25:00.100 Absolutely

00:25:01.100 Final word

00:25:02.100 Thanks for coming

00:25:03.100 Listen, it's time to take this country back

00:25:05.100 And this rioting is going to be a litmus test

00:25:07.100 Of whether a person who is loved and respected by the people

00:25:11.100 Can win over a colour, over a party

00:25:13.100 Let's stand up, Canada

00:25:15.100 Because right now in Banff Airdrie

00:25:17.100 All eyes are going to be on us

00:25:18.100 Do not let democracy die

00:25:20.100 Freedom fighters from across Alberta

00:25:22.100 Come and join us

00:25:23.100 Let's show the Conservatives

00:25:25.100 Let's show the establishment

00:25:26.100 Let's show the establishment

00:25:27.100 That we can win

00:25:28.100 When the people stand up and have their say

00:25:30.100 Thank you so much

00:25:31.100 So, I was born and raised in Dubai

00:25:33.100 I'm an engineer by education

00:25:34.100 And I'd come here once to the Calgary Stampede on vacation in 2010

00:25:39.100 I have no animal experience whatsoever

00:25:41.100 So, no horse experience

00:25:43.100 No cattle experience

00:25:44.100 Never even had a dog

00:25:45.100 And I sat in the stands

00:25:48.100 Bought the ticket to the rodeo

00:25:49.100 And thought, man, that's the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life

00:25:51.100 I'm going to be on the other side of that fence

00:25:53.100 And I went home

00:25:54.100 I quit my job

00:25:55.100 Sold the house

00:25:56.100 Sold the car

00:25:57.100 Made plans to move out here

00:25:58.100 And moved to Airdrie, Alberta in 2012

00:26:00.100 Started to learn how to ride

00:26:02.100 How to rope

00:26:03.100 Got involved with a whole bunch of rodeo boards

00:26:05.100 And just one thing led to another

00:26:06.100 And here I am

00:26:07.100 I've got now a foot in oil and gas

00:26:09.100 Which still remains my career

00:26:11.100 And a foot in agriculture

00:26:13.100 So, love at first sight?

00:26:14.100 Oh, absolutely

00:26:15.100 And I mean, this is the West, right?

00:26:16.100 Like, these two industries built the West

00:26:18.100 Absolutely

00:26:19.100 This is home

00:26:20.100 I live, breathe, and die the West every day

00:26:23.100 Like, it's who I am

00:26:24.100 And it's what I've become

00:26:25.100 And I love it

00:26:26.100 And it's not just the mechanics of riding a horse, Adam

00:26:29.100 But it's also the values of the West

00:26:30.100 Like, if you look at the values

00:26:32.100 We can all relate to grit, perseverance

00:26:34.100 Community, respect, hard work, taking risks

00:26:37.100 You know, that's the West to me

00:26:39.100 So, the next question would be

00:26:40.100 Why the Maverick Party?

00:26:42.100 Do you see some of those values echoed in the Maverick Party?

00:26:45.100 100%

00:26:46.100 It was supernatural

00:26:47.100 So, again, the Maverick Party being exclusively Western

00:26:51.100 And it caters to both urban Westerners and rural Westerners

00:26:55.100 But if you look at the values

00:26:57.100 Which are common across both

00:26:59.100 It made perfect sense

00:27:00.100 It was just a natural fit of those Western values

00:27:02.100 So, in the past, you were a Conservative Party of Canada supporter

00:27:06.100 Correct

00:27:07.100 What motivated the change?

00:27:08.100 Why now?

00:27:09.100 So, as soon as I became a Canadian citizen

00:27:12.100 I told myself I'm not going to put my head in the sand

00:27:14.100 And not be an uninvolved citizen

00:27:16.100 So, the day I became a Canadian citizen

00:27:18.100 I bought a membership to the CPC

00:27:20.100 Because I thought that they were going to be the best ones

00:27:22.100 To represent my views

00:27:23.100 And represent what we want for the West

00:27:26.100 But then, as we went through, you know

00:27:28.100 We went through the Andrew Scheer election

00:27:30.100 And we know how that went

00:27:31.100 But then I said, okay, I'm going to stick with them

00:27:34.100 Keep my membership up

00:27:35.100 And then, Aaron O'Toole

00:27:38.100 In his first meeting with Quebec says

00:27:41.100 Energy East is off the table

00:27:43.100 And then rewards our loyalty

00:27:45.100 A couple of months later with a carbon tax

00:27:47.100 That he insists he doesn't want to call a carbon tax

00:27:49.100 Now, this riding has four core industries

00:27:52.100 Oil and gas, aviation, agriculture, and tourism

00:27:56.100 And all four of them get super hit by a carbon tax

00:28:00.100 And I said, you know what, that's it, I'm done

00:28:02.100 That was the straw that broke the camel's back, if you will

00:28:05.100 Is the carbon tax

00:28:07.100 And I'd been reading up about the Maverick Party

00:28:10.100 And learning about them

00:28:11.100 And I said, the concept is beautifully simple

00:28:15.100 If it's good for the West, it's good for them 1.00

00:28:17.100 If they don't support a carbon tax

00:28:20.100 They support our core industries

00:28:21.100 It made perfect sense to find a home there

00:28:24.100 As a voter

00:28:25.100 And then I told myself, well, I could keep complaining

00:28:28.100 Or I could do something about it

00:28:30.100 And me doing something about it

00:28:32.100 Was not posting on Facebook

00:28:35.100 And being angry at both Justin Trudeau and Aaron O'Toole

00:28:38.100 But rather saying, you know what

00:28:39.100 This is my shot to step up

00:28:42.100 Put my name in as a candidate

00:28:44.100 And that's what I did

00:28:45.100 I just wanted to ask you as well about Banff Airdrie

00:28:48.100 Right

00:28:49.100 Often just like a very sort of stable

00:28:52.100 Yep

00:28:53.100 Staple of Conservative voting

00:28:54.100 Yep

00:28:55.100 But it's going to be a spot to watch in this election

00:28:56.100 You're likely where Derek Sloan has announced that he's running here

00:28:59.100 Yep

00:29:00.100 You have Nadine Wellwood with the PPC

00:29:02.100 Yep

00:29:03.100 As well as yourself running here

00:29:04.100 Blake Richards, the party whip for the Conservatives

00:29:06.100 Right

00:29:07.100 It's going to be a place to watch

00:29:08.100 But with all these newcomers 1.00

00:29:10.100 And with what some of the Western sentiment

00:29:12.100 That's a little hesitant towards what's happened with the O'Toole Conservatives

00:29:15.100 What do you make of the writing?

00:29:17.100 What do you see unfolding?

00:29:18.100 Right

00:29:19.100 So, like I said Adam

00:29:20.100 Like I look at this writing and it covers a core part of Alberta, right?

00:29:25.100 It's gorgeous writing

00:29:26.100 So it runs from the BC border all the way to East Airdrie

00:29:29.100 And it covers the big industries

00:29:32.100 Two of the biggest ones being oil and gas and agriculture

00:29:35.100 Now, the Maverick party is the only party that is exclusively Western

00:29:40.100 And everyone else running is either a Federalist or an independent hoping to be a Federalist

00:29:46.100 And that's the difference between us and them

00:29:49.100 Is, again, I'm not one to character trash any of my competitors

00:29:54.100 But I could clearly point out policy and position differences

00:29:57.100 And to your point, when you talked about Blake Richards being the chief whip of Aaron O'Toole

00:30:04.100 Well, where's his loyalties then?

00:30:06.100 Is it to O'Toole's policies?

00:30:08.100 Or is it to a Western constituent?

00:30:10.100 And also, his job is to go after all the other Western CPC MPs and say

00:30:15.100 You know what? You need to vote for Aaron O'Toole's policies

00:30:18.100 Well, they don't match what we want

00:30:20.100 Even the Conservative voter in Ontario and Quebec

00:30:22.100 Their values are different than ours

00:30:24.100 Someone's convinced them that a carbon tax will save the planet

00:30:27.100 Well, it won't

00:30:29.100 And all it's going to do is cripple our industries

00:30:32.100 Oil companies are mobile, Adam

00:30:34.100 So, if they decide that Canada is uncompetitive and Alberta is uncompetitive

00:30:38.100 They'll just pick up and move, right?

00:30:40.100 And it's like, well, they, you know

00:30:43.100 If we, Canada produces what?

00:30:45.100 1.6%, less than 1.6% of the GHG emissions in the world

00:30:49.100 If we shut Canada down in its entirety

00:30:52.100 And took out all the people in Canada 0.99

00:30:54.100 We still wouldn't make a dent

00:30:56.100 Hey, Prime Minister Trudeau, why are you supporting somebody that supports the Iranian regime?

00:31:02.100 No question

00:31:03.100 Mr. Trudeau, why are you supporting a candidate here, Majid Johari, that supports the Iranian regime?

00:31:09.100 Can you answer that?

00:31:11.100 Mr. Trudeau, what do you have to say about our disgrace in Afghanistan?

00:31:16.100 Mr. Trudeau, why do you support a candidate who associates with somebody who is under CSIS investigation?

00:31:24.100 Who has been described as a threat to national security?

00:31:28.100 Mr. Trudeau?

00:31:30.100 Mr. Trudeau, why are you walking into me, sir?

00:31:37.100 Mr. Trudeau, I can reach over if I want, I'm in a public place

00:31:40.100 Who are you?

00:31:41.100 Mr. Trudeau, I'm a police officer, I'm a police officer

00:31:42.100 Oh, really?

00:31:43.100 Okay, can I see your ID?

00:31:45.100 Mr. Trudeau, can I see your ID, sir?

00:31:46.100 Mr. Trudeau, I can see your ID?

00:31:48.100 Mr. Trudeau, what's your name and badge number?

00:31:50.100 Mr. Trudeau, I'm not getting into that right now

00:31:51.100 Mr. Trudeau, okay well, I'm in a public place

00:31:53.100 Mr. Trudeau, I'm in a public place and I'm not moving, okay?

00:31:56.100 I'm in a public place, sir

00:32:02.740 Well, you got into my face

00:32:06.020 I'm trying to film the Prime Minister

00:32:09.360 What do you think it is, a gun?

00:32:11.340 Come on, give me a break

00:32:12.100 Mr. Trudeau, why do you support a candidate

00:32:15.920 Who supports the Iranian regime?

00:32:18.880 Why are you bumping into me?

00:32:20.640 Why are you getting your camera in my face?

00:32:22.260 I'm not, you're getting in my face

00:32:23.960 Mr. Trudeau, what do you say about us

00:32:26.340 Leaving our Afghanistan allies behind? 0.62

00:32:30.720 Why have you called this election, Mr. Trudeau?

00:32:36.260 Mr. Trudeau, why won't you answer the questions?

00:32:41.180 Mr. Trudeau, hey, hey, get your hands off me

00:32:43.240 Why were you putting your hands on me? 1.00

00:32:48.740 You're getting into my face

00:32:50.040 You're getting into my face

00:32:51.660 Don't touch my camera

00:32:53.620 We're in a public place

00:32:55.000 On the other side, man, please

00:32:56.000 Mr. Jawari, how are you doing?

00:32:59.940 Why do you support the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world?

00:33:05.600 No, I'm not

00:33:06.120 I'm not even near your face

00:33:07.540 Don't stand on my foot

00:33:10.440 Are you kidding me?

00:33:11.520 What is this, amateur hour? 0.99

00:33:14.240 Boy, you are a bunch of censorious thugs 0.97

00:33:16.440 You know that? 1.00

00:33:18.000 No

00:33:18.120 Mr. Trudeau, why do you support this person?

00:33:24.040 Mr. Trudeau, wait a moment

00:33:25.360 Hey, David Menzies, how's it going?

00:33:27.200 Hey, very good, sir

00:33:28.080 Hey, can I get an autograph?

00:33:29.300 Yeah, sure

00:33:29.820 We had a meeting when this tragedy was happening

00:33:32.520 We meet face to face

00:33:34.220 You promised to me we go on the bottom line of it

00:33:37.180 Yes

00:33:37.600 What we did?

00:33:38.720 Yes, we did exactly that

00:33:39.940 Why are you dealing with the regime of the terrorist regime of Iran?

00:33:44.020 I know

00:33:44.360 I understand

00:33:45.100 Why are we dealing with the terrorist regime of Iran?

00:33:48.600 Did you promise we go to the bottom line of it?

00:33:51.540 Yes

00:33:51.760 Is the bottom line of it to get the money from Iran?

00:33:54.960 No, the bottom line is to get justice for the families

00:33:57.460 What justice do we get now?

00:33:58.700 We don't get any justice, Mr. Trudeau, yet

00:34:00.980 I know

00:34:01.660 Our family has been killed in Iran 0.99

00:34:04.120 Yes

00:34:04.540 And you try to get negotiated and close on the friend with Iran 0.77

00:34:08.440 What is it?

00:34:09.460 No, we're not

00:34:10.080 I understand you're hurt

00:34:11.240 I remember our conversation very much

00:34:13.240 And I know how much you were hurting for your loss

00:34:16.760 And all those families are

00:34:18.120 We will continue to put pressure on the regime

00:34:20.940 We had a meeting, Mr.

00:34:22.280 Continue, yes

00:34:23.180 We had a meeting with Mr. Payam Akhavan

00:34:26.160 He said if you have any criminal investigation

00:34:28.900 You got to go to the Ukraine 0.99

00:34:30.580 What is this?

00:34:31.820 We live in Canada

00:34:32.800 We have to do the criminal investigation in Canada

00:34:35.360 Yes

00:34:35.900 Why we go to the Ukraine for a criminal investigation?

00:34:38.540 Because the crime happened in Iran 1.00

00:34:41.300 In Iran 0.76

00:34:41.940 What he said

00:34:43.020 We have enough evidence as the Ukraine and the Canada 0.99

00:34:46.540 We live together

00:34:47.400 86 people

00:34:48.740 They were entire for the Canadians 1.00

00:34:50.280 Yes

00:34:50.760 Why are you sending us to the Ukraine?

00:34:53.020 I am working with the community

00:34:55.720 And we will continue to make sure that you get justice

00:34:59.400 You promise me to get the justice?

00:35:01.320 Yes

00:35:01.520 Whoever did this happen

00:35:02.940 To my families

00:35:03.880 You're going to get it?

00:35:04.660 How are we going to get it?

00:35:05.500 We are going to continue to work together

00:35:07.360 You promise?

00:35:08.440 Yes

00:35:08.840 We will continue to work together

00:35:10.640 We will get there

00:35:11.500 Okay?

00:35:12.200 We are going to get there

00:35:13.280 If you promise, we do

00:35:14.200 I promise

00:35:14.500 We were going to do it

00:35:15.520 Okay

00:35:17.020 Now I know how much you are hurting

00:35:18.840 I know how difficult this is

00:35:20.580 I know how angry you are

00:35:22.300 At the terrible Iranian regime 0.96

00:35:23.900 And you should be

00:35:24.740 And we are going to do everything we can

00:35:27.660 To get justice

00:35:29.100 To get understanding

00:35:30.380 To hold people to account

00:35:31.740 And to help you heal

00:35:33.220 Even though there's nothing

00:35:34.500 That can bring your loved ones back

00:35:35.820 I know that

00:35:36.540 Thank you, Mr. President

00:35:37.520 Thank you

00:35:38.380 Do you believe him, sir?

00:35:39.900 I know

00:35:40.060 Sir, do you believe

00:35:42.460 What the Prime Minister

00:35:43.140 Just told you?

00:35:44.160 He promised

00:35:44.700 He promised

00:35:45.220 We do get the justice

00:35:46.360 On the families

00:35:48.020 Of Piat 752 0.93

00:35:49.240 Is his promise worth anything

00:35:51.040 Given how many promises

00:35:52.120 He's broken so far

00:35:53.160 To the Canadian people?

00:35:54.380 He's promised

00:35:54.960 Now I believe

00:35:55.860 In his promise

00:35:56.520 What he did

00:35:57.100 And he's going to do it

00:35:58.080 But sir

00:35:58.580 He is supporting

00:35:59.260 A candidate right here

00:36:00.360 Majid Johari

00:36:01.360 Who supports

00:36:02.520 The Iranian regime 0.51

00:36:03.780 How is that possible?

00:36:05.060 Let's

00:36:07.040 I'm not going

00:36:07.660 To the politics part

00:36:09.040 I

00:36:10.080 I

00:36:10.620 I do

00:36:11.280 I

00:36:14.480 I know

00:36:14.680 What you're saying

00:36:15.360 I know

00:36:16.040 What is it

00:36:16.840 Let's

00:36:17.200 I be on the side

00:36:18.380 Of this

00:36:18.820 This

00:36:19.160 Politics issue

00:36:19.920 But Mr. Johari

00:36:21.240 In his own words

00:36:22.140 Supports

00:36:22.960 The elected

00:36:23.940 Government of Iran

00:36:25.020 That's what he has said

00:36:25.900 He's had meetings

00:36:26.640 With Iranian 0.98

00:36:27.680 Politicians

00:36:28.360 In Canada

00:36:28.960 This is the largest

00:36:30.280 State sponsor

00:36:31.120 Of terrorism

00:36:31.780 How can this guy

00:36:33.200 Even be a member

00:36:34.080 Of parliament?

00:36:35.060 I am not sure

00:36:37.160 My bad

00:36:37.720 Thank you

00:36:38.320 Thank you sir

00:36:38.820 Good luck

00:36:39.340 There we go

00:36:44.820 Mix of elbows

00:36:46.060 And fists here 0.56

00:36:46.960 Can we get a good

00:36:47.680 Selfie?

00:36:48.240 Of course

00:36:48.500 Amazing

00:36:49.020 Mr. Trudeau

00:36:50.240 Do you support

00:36:50.940 The Iranian regime 0.51

00:36:51.940 Like the candidate

00:36:52.720 For Richmond Hill

00:36:53.560 Mr. Johari?

00:36:55.340 Mr. Trudeau

00:36:56.080 Do you support

00:36:57.320 The largest

00:36:58.300 State sponsor

00:36:59.100 Of terrorism?

00:37:01.100 Mr. Trudeau

00:37:02.240 Do you support

00:37:04.860 The largest

00:37:05.560 State sponsor

00:37:06.360 Of terrorism

00:37:06.960 As Mr. Johari

00:37:07.960 Does?

00:37:09.240 Why do you call

00:37:09.980 Mr. Johari

00:37:10.780 A good man

00:37:11.560 Mr. Trudeau

00:37:12.260 He supports

00:37:13.100 The biggest

00:37:13.960 State sponsor

00:37:14.860 Of terrorism

00:37:15.500 In the world

00:37:16.180 Iran

00:37:16.740 Wow

00:37:20.320 Mr. Trudeau

00:37:21.320 Mr. Trudeau

00:37:22.940 Campaigning

00:37:23.620 And help

00:37:24.420 The people

00:37:24.920 We've stranded

00:37:25.640 In Afghanistan

00:37:26.600 Mr. Trudeau

00:37:28.120 What's more

00:37:29.500 Important

00:37:29.960 Are you getting

00:37:30.400 A majority 0.60

00:37:30.920 Or the allies

00:37:32.060 In Afghanistan

00:37:32.860 Please ask

00:37:34.600 To hear

00:37:35.660 The people

00:37:36.880 Of Iran 0.97

00:37:37.640 The other side

00:37:48.620 And what do you

00:37:49.220 Want to say

00:37:54.320 Because

00:37:54.680 Because of

00:37:55.240 The act

00:37:55.860 Because there

00:37:56.480 Are activists

00:37:57.200 Mr. Nurizal

00:37:58.400 Go to the prison

00:38:13.680 How is this possible

00:38:15.560 You tell me

00:38:18.740 Tell me about that

00:38:20.000 About the lobbies

00:38:21.360 Lobbies of regime

00:38:22.860 There are many

00:38:23.780 Lobbies of regime

00:38:24.540 Here

00:38:25.000 I know

00:38:25.460 And we are

00:38:26.340 The people of Iran

00:38:38.560 They don't agree

00:38:40.180 To her

00:38:40.640 To come out

00:38:41.420 For just one week

00:38:43.640 Ma'am

00:38:59.160 I understand

00:38:59.680 What you're saying

00:39:00.240 So if that is the case

00:39:01.580 Why has this man

00:39:03.440 Been elected

00:39:04.120 To represent

00:39:04.820 Richmond Hill

00:39:25.000 At the Richmond Hill

00:39:25.920 Performing Arts Centre

00:39:26.920 There was a vigil

00:39:27.680 For all the Canadian victims

00:39:29.540 And Mr. Johari

00:39:31.240 There was many politicians there

00:39:32.720 He did not show up

00:39:34.200 Why is that?

00:39:35.800 I'm not from here

00:39:36.920 I'm from US

00:39:38.100 We have the same

00:39:39.340 Nayak there

00:39:48.980 One of the

00:39:49.840 One of the

00:39:50.680 Family of the

00:40:00.520 And Mr. Trudeau

00:40:01.460 Will not answer

00:40:02.240 My questions

00:40:02.900 I guess I'm not

00:40:03.660 A bond paid

00:40:04.320 Media person

00:40:05.020 I'm against

00:40:05.420 Mr. Trudeau

00:40:06.700 I don't know him

00:40:07.680 And Mr. Johari

00:40:09.000 I'm not

00:40:09.520 I'm

00:40:10.200 I'm

00:40:10.780 From US

00:40:12.160 I don't know him

00:40:13.240 But I know

00:40:14.600 Do a Google search

00:40:15.920 Yeah yeah

00:40:16.800 But I know

00:40:17.680 The Iranian people

00:40:18.600 I am the activist

00:40:19.580 I

00:40:19.940 Every day

00:40:21.240 I talk to the

00:40:22.340 Family of the prison

00:40:23.740 Yes

00:40:24.260 Inside the prison

00:40:25.560 They torture

00:40:26.140 Now these days

00:40:27.380 You can search

00:40:28.600 There are too many

00:40:29.760 Films about the

00:40:31.500 Inside the prison

00:40:33.080 One of the best prison

00:40:35.160 Tell me about that

00:40:36.760 Every prison

00:40:37.380 I've heard it

00:40:38.140 You can't

00:40:39.120 You can't see

00:40:39.980 Thank you

00:40:40.860 Thank you for

00:40:41.420 Thank you ma'am

00:40:42.060 Thank you for your time

00:40:42.900 We are doing

00:40:44.560 Politics differently

00:40:45.860 I hope you understand that

00:40:47.480 It's not based on

00:40:48.960 Survey

00:40:49.380 Not based on polling

00:40:50.900 Based on volumes

00:40:52.380 And principles

00:40:53.120 We are not

00:40:55.120 Politically correct

00:40:56.060 And I'm proud of that

00:40:57.600 You don't need

00:41:01.960 Conservative MP anymore

00:41:04.980 You know what they did

00:41:06.500 In the past

00:41:07.180 It was a critical time

00:41:09.740 And it is a critical time

00:41:11.660 For Canada

00:41:12.840 For our country

00:41:13.760 It's time to save

00:41:15.560 Our country

00:41:16.400 It's time to tell the truth

00:41:18.500 It's time to be

00:41:19.780 To fight

00:41:21.240 And I need you

00:41:22.940 For that fight

00:41:23.820 It's very important

00:41:25.460 We need to

00:41:26.700 Speak openly

00:41:28.180 With passion

00:41:29.880 And conviction

00:41:30.840 About our belief

00:41:33.640 About our values

00:41:36.200 If we don't do that

00:41:38.320 If you are not

00:41:40.160 Helping me

00:41:41.080 And helping me

00:41:42.180 Helping me

00:41:42.860 We won't be able

00:41:44.600 To win that battle

00:41:45.440 Of ideas

00:41:46.200 But I'm asking you

00:41:48.440 To help us

00:41:50.460 I'm asking you

00:41:52.080 When tyranny

00:41:54.560 Becomes law 0.93

00:41:56.260 Revolution

00:41:57.560 Becomes our duty

00:41:59.640 And I'm asking you

00:42:01.060 To help us

00:42:02.000 I'm asking you

00:42:04.000 When tyranny

00:42:07.000 Becomes law 0.93

00:42:08.220 Revolution

00:42:09.620 Becomes our duty

00:42:11.620 So it is a startling

00:42:19.700 Juxtaposition

00:42:20.700 To watch

00:42:21.380 Some of the candidates

00:42:22.620 Here in Banff Airdrie

00:42:23.800 Whether it be

00:42:24.640 Derek Sloan

00:42:25.380 Or Maxime Bernier

00:42:26.280 Who's right here

00:42:27.180 Behind me

00:42:28.060 Standing with people

00:42:29.140 He doesn't have

00:42:29.640 An army of guards

00:42:30.700 And phony people

00:42:31.980 Protecting him

00:42:32.740 Keeping away

00:42:33.340 From real questions

00:42:34.460 Justin sir

00:42:36.900 One question

00:42:37.680 Please Justin

00:42:38.620 One question

00:42:40.120 For independent journalists

00:42:41.580 He is among the people

00:42:43.820 Answering questions

00:42:44.880 Taking pictures

00:42:45.740 Shaking hands

00:42:46.660 And afterwards

00:42:47.300 He will be speaking

00:42:48.180 With us

00:42:48.540 Granting us an interview

00:42:49.380 Where he will answer

00:42:50.560 Questions

00:42:51.180 Like every politician should

00:42:52.740 If you want to support

00:42:53.880 This sort of journalism

00:42:54.940 Support us talking

00:42:55.960 To candidates

00:42:56.560 Who are willing

00:42:57.340 To answer the tough questions

00:42:58.600 Go to realreporters.ca

00:43:00.480 This has become

00:43:01.320 Very rapidly

00:43:02.000 A very interesting

00:43:02.980 Constituency

00:43:04.260 There's going to be

00:43:05.140 A number of interesting

00:43:06.080 Choices for conservatives

00:43:06.980 What can the PPC

00:43:08.420 Nadine Wellwood

00:43:09.580 And your party

00:43:10.380 Offer that other parties

00:43:11.560 Simply cannot

00:43:12.240 For Western Albertans

00:43:13.400 But first of all

00:43:14.660 We have the best platform

00:43:16.000 For all Canadians

00:43:17.360 And specifically

00:43:18.780 Canadians here

00:43:19.960 In this riding

00:43:20.700 I'm asking them

00:43:21.800 Look out at our platform

00:43:23.380 Equalization formula

00:43:24.860 Will be less generous

00:43:26.180 We'll solve

00:43:26.960 The equalization formula

00:43:28.120 It's unfair

00:43:28.860 Pipelines

00:43:30.200 We're going to build

00:43:30.980 Pipelines in this country

00:43:32.260 Paris Accord

00:43:35.140 We are against

00:43:36.020 The Paris Accord

00:43:36.800 We won't impose

00:43:37.620 The carbon tax

00:43:38.380 We won't impose

00:43:39.100 More regulation

00:43:39.820 On businesses

00:43:40.500 Balancing the budget

00:43:41.940 In four years

00:43:43.100 We'll cut the CBC

00:43:44.480 We'll cut foreign aid 0.99

00:43:45.840 We will cut

00:43:47.020 Corporate welfare

00:43:47.820 We'll cut all

00:43:49.020 The COVID-19 subsidies

00:43:51.140 That Trudeau government

00:43:52.280 Gave to businesses

00:43:53.580 And individual Canadians

00:43:55.780 Because we will

00:43:56.760 Reopen the economy

00:43:57.720 So we have

00:43:58.700 The best platform

00:43:59.680 And the best candidate

00:44:01.260 Also

00:44:01.800 You know

00:44:02.580 And I'm saying

00:44:04.200 To people

00:44:04.660 Who wanted to vote

00:44:06.700 For the conservative

00:44:07.540 They're not conservative

00:44:09.240 Anymore

00:44:09.780 They're just conservative

00:44:11.000 In name

00:44:12.040 That's it

00:44:12.980 And they were not there

00:44:15.060 To fight for you

00:44:16.080 During this

00:44:16.780 COVID-19 crisis

00:44:18.100 They were silent

00:44:19.520 Your member of parliament

00:44:21.600 Didn't speak

00:44:22.560 Against these

00:44:24.140 Authoritarian measures

00:44:25.480 I did that

00:44:26.780 Since the beginning

00:44:27.580 Of that crisis

00:44:28.420 And we are

00:44:29.700 The only party

00:44:30.580 That is fighting

00:44:31.360 Against a vaccine

00:44:32.940 Passport

00:44:33.640 For our freedom

00:44:34.620 And by the way

00:44:35.920 This vaccine passport 0.98

00:44:37.320 Will have an expiration date

00:44:39.160 Like I said

00:44:39.960 Eight months

00:44:41.180 That's it

00:44:42.060 When they will have

00:44:43.000 The third shot

00:44:44.300 The fourth one

00:44:45.240 They will need

00:44:46.140 To renew their passport

00:44:47.400 So we don't want that

00:44:49.360 And everybody can

00:44:50.740 Also spread the virus

00:44:53.260 Vaccinated ones 1.00

00:44:54.420 And unvaccinated ones

00:44:55.940 So it's not based

00:44:57.960 On science

00:44:58.640 It's illegal

00:44:59.460 Unconstitutional

00:45:00.500 And the conservatives

00:45:01.780 Are not fighting

00:45:02.580 For your rights

00:45:03.280 We are

00:45:03.880 It's a discrimination

00:45:05.240 And your health

00:45:07.600 Your health

00:45:10.940 How can I say

00:45:13.800 Rights

00:45:14.940 Rights

00:45:15.520 Yeah

00:45:15.820 Thank you

00:45:16.460 Your rights

00:45:18.160 Are violated

00:45:19.440 By the government

00:45:20.520 So we need

00:45:21.760 To do something

00:45:22.460 And we are

00:45:23.160 That will be

00:45:24.020 A very important

00:45:25.000 Decision

00:45:26.740 That Canadians 1.00

00:45:27.440 Will have to take

00:45:28.300 For this election

00:45:29.400 Do they want

00:45:30.360 More and more

00:45:31.620 Of the same

00:45:32.380 That they had

00:45:32.960 The last 19 months

00:45:34.600 More lockdowns

00:45:35.860 More stay at home order

00:45:37.960 More curfew

00:45:38.880 More mass mandate

00:45:40.480 Or they want to go back

00:45:42.100 To their life

00:45:42.700 Before COVID-19

00:45:44.860 And the answer

00:45:45.780 For me is yes

00:45:46.600 And I believe

00:45:47.180 That it will be yes

00:45:48.000 For a lot of Canadians

00:45:48.980 And if it's that

00:45:50.220 We are the only one

00:45:51.660 The only choice

00:45:52.780 The only real choice

00:45:53.800 To gain back

00:45:55.540 Our freedoms

00:45:56.100 The West has generally 0.90

00:45:57.720 Been alienated

00:45:58.460 There is a sentiment

00:45:59.160 Of a lack of representation

00:46:00.380 But there is

00:46:01.340 Forgive me for using

00:46:02.300 A left term

00:46:02.880 But marginalization

00:46:04.140 Of Western

00:46:04.760 And conservative voices

00:46:05.920 We've seen

00:46:06.960 Throughout this campaign

00:46:07.840 A hundred stops

00:46:08.880 In Quebec

00:46:09.280 A hundred stops

00:46:10.140 In Toronto

00:46:10.620 Only Justin

00:46:11.580 And yourself

00:46:12.140 Have been to Calgary

00:46:13.300 How do we change

00:46:14.480 The narrative

00:46:14.860 So that the

00:46:15.320 People's Party of Canada

00:46:16.280 Is represented

00:46:17.260 In the debates

00:46:17.980 And Western voices

00:46:19.120 Have a spot

00:46:20.220 At the table

00:46:20.780 In the political landscape

00:46:22.060 But they will

00:46:23.160 We have

00:46:23.620 We have

00:46:24.360 330 candidates

00:46:26.060 Up to now

00:46:27.040 On 338 ridings

00:46:28.660 We have almost

00:46:29.780 A candidate

00:46:30.180 In every riding

00:46:31.440 In this country

00:46:32.100 And all these people

00:46:33.400 In Eastern Canada

00:46:34.860 Are speaking

00:46:35.880 On the same platform

00:46:36.860 They're with us

00:46:37.660 Because they believe

00:46:38.360 In a platform

00:46:39.040 So Western Canada

00:46:41.120 Will have a voice

00:46:42.220 And these candidates

00:46:43.500 That will be elected

00:46:44.460 In Ontario

00:46:45.620 And Quebec

00:46:46.140 They will promote

00:46:47.660 Pipelines

00:46:48.320 They will promote

00:46:49.280 To change the equalization

00:46:50.540 We'll have a strong voice

00:46:52.140 All across the country

00:46:53.240 And that's important

00:46:54.200 So

00:46:54.840 And during this campaign

00:46:56.940 I will be about

00:46:58.360 Seven days in Alberta

00:46:59.720 Because it's important

00:47:01.720 For me

00:47:02.280 It's a strong

00:47:03.140 Conservative

00:47:03.800 Real conservative province

00:47:05.740 And we have

00:47:06.760 A strong base here

00:47:07.840 And I believe

00:47:08.680 That our first

00:47:09.500 Or second

00:47:10.680 Candidate selected

00:47:11.880 Will be here

00:47:12.980 From Alberta

00:47:13.680 So that's why

00:47:15.200 I'm here tonight

00:47:16.300 And I'm telling them

00:47:17.600 You know

00:47:17.860 What I'm saying here

00:47:19.020 In English

00:47:19.440 I'm saying the same thing

00:47:20.280 In French

00:47:20.680 And I'm the only one

00:47:22.340 That is speaking

00:47:23.220 Telling Canadians 0.98

00:47:24.520 In Eastern Canada

00:47:25.620 That there is

00:47:26.780 A Western alienation

00:47:27.900 And I'm explaining

00:47:29.220 Why you're mad

00:47:30.560 And you have to be mad

00:47:31.740 At Ottawa

00:47:32.300 But we have the solution

00:47:33.680 For you

00:47:34.180 The flip side

00:47:35.000 Of that coin

00:47:35.600 Is let's say

00:47:36.260 The PPC gains

00:47:37.200 A lot of power

00:47:37.760 We've seen so many

00:47:38.900 So-called

00:47:39.460 Grassroots movements

00:47:40.340 The second they have

00:47:41.640 That power within reach

00:47:42.840 They start to compromise

00:47:44.120 We start to see

00:47:44.880 Campaigns that are hidden

00:47:46.000 Real journalists

00:47:47.040 Like ourselves

00:47:47.660 Unable to ask

00:47:48.560 Real questions

00:47:49.300 How will the PPC

00:47:51.420 Ensure that

00:47:51.900 That does not happen

00:47:52.740 Well it won't happen

00:47:53.860 Because we are saying

00:47:54.780 The same thing

00:47:55.380 Since the creation

00:47:56.780 Of that party

00:47:57.460 Our platform

00:47:58.380 Of this election

00:47:59.120 Is the same one

00:48:00.080 That we had in 2019

00:48:01.280 And it will be

00:48:02.700 The same one

00:48:03.260 In 2025

00:48:03.840 We are doing politics

00:48:05.680 Differently based on principle

00:48:07.240 And we strongly believe

00:48:10.080 In our principles

00:48:11.560 Individual freedom

00:48:12.680 Personal responsibility

00:48:13.660 Respect and fairness

00:48:14.860 And all our policies

00:48:15.860 Are in line with that

00:48:16.780 So I won't do any compromise

00:48:18.220 With my principle

00:48:19.120 And we don't want to do

00:48:20.780 Any merger

00:48:21.440 We will be there

00:48:22.760 We will speak

00:48:23.400 And we will support

00:48:25.220 The government

00:48:26.180 If we like what they're doing

00:48:28.940 If they take some of our ideas

00:48:31.140 If not

00:48:31.700 We won't

00:48:32.220 You know

00:48:32.860 I don't want to waste my time

00:48:35.060 I'm there for the ideas

00:48:36.480 And I want our ideas

00:48:37.800 To win

00:48:38.300 And we'll do everything

00:48:39.360 For that

00:48:39.840 So we won't do

00:48:40.940 Like the reform party

00:48:42.020 I think President Manning

00:48:43.100 Had a good idea

00:48:43.980 More than 25 years ago

00:48:46.080 With the reform party

00:48:47.100 But the

00:48:47.860 What he did

00:48:50.660 Is to merge

00:48:52.020 With the Canadian alliance

00:48:53.680 And after that

00:48:54.600 With the conservative party

00:48:55.820 That was a mistake

00:48:57.200 And

00:48:57.940 We won't do that

00:49:00.080 We won't do that

00:49:01.200 And you know

00:49:01.960 I was a conservative

00:49:02.780 I knew them

00:49:03.640 They're not doing politics

00:49:05.200 Based on principles

00:49:06.200 They're doing politics

00:49:07.460 Based on polling

00:49:08.500 Based

00:49:09.220 Their only goal

00:49:10.120 Is to be in government

00:49:10.940 Not to fight

00:49:11.980 For real conservative ideas

00:49:13.360 Our conservative ideas

00:49:14.840 Right now

00:49:15.220 We must admit

00:49:15.900 They're not that popular

00:49:17.600 But we are speaking about it

00:49:19.480 Because we know

00:49:20.220 They're the best ideas

00:49:21.580 And we have the best platform

00:49:22.860 For the future of this country

00:49:24.280 And we know that

00:49:25.520 The more we speak about it

00:49:26.860 Openly with passion

00:49:28.040 And conviction

00:49:28.640 The more support we'll have

00:49:30.180 So we will always fight

00:49:32.080 For what we believe

00:49:32.820 Three quick pragmatic policy

00:49:34.760 Sort of oriented questions

00:49:35.960 First off

00:49:36.740 Should the government intercede

00:49:38.200 If private businesses

00:49:39.900 Let's say a flame sports organization 0.76

00:49:42.000 Mandates a vaccine passport 1.00

00:49:44.200 It must be illegal

00:49:46.380 Like in Florida

00:49:49.080 Like what the governor

00:49:50.800 DeSantis did

00:49:51.680 You know

00:49:52.340 No vaccine passport

00:49:53.700 No mask mandate

00:49:55.000 And if a private corporation

00:49:56.580 Is doing that

00:49:57.280 It will be illegal

00:49:58.360 They cannot do that

00:49:59.260 And it's against

00:50:00.740 Our charter of rights

00:50:01.720 It's discrimination

00:50:02.860 And

00:50:04.120 And

00:50:05.380 They won't be able

00:50:06.200 To do that

00:50:06.720 The situation in Afghanistan

00:50:08.620 Justin Trudeau

00:50:09.840 Joe Biden

00:50:10.220 Categorical failures

00:50:11.580 Should this be

00:50:12.740 A more prevalent

00:50:13.420 Elections issue

00:50:14.420 And what should

00:50:15.200 The Canadian government

00:50:15.960 Do to help our allies

00:50:17.040 Over there

00:50:17.480 But first of all

00:50:18.680 I think

00:50:19.140 When Justin Trudeau

00:50:20.420 Said he wants to have

00:50:21.400 20,000 Afghans

00:50:22.680 Coming here

00:50:23.220 I think it's too much

00:50:24.500 We must help

00:50:25.540 These Afghans 0.80

00:50:26.660 That help us

00:50:27.520 When we're there

00:50:28.300 There are not

00:50:30.060 20,000 people

00:50:31.280 Maybe 5,000

00:50:32.840 Or I don't know

00:50:33.440 And we cannot save everybody

00:50:35.280 We're not the saviour

00:50:37.360 Of the world

00:50:37.980 And other countries

00:50:39.460 Must help also

00:50:40.820 So I believe

00:50:42.120 That

00:50:42.440 That policy of Trudeau

00:50:44.220 Is too

00:50:44.740 Is too

00:50:45.800 Generous

00:50:46.740 You know

00:50:47.140 And that will have

00:50:48.040 A cost here

00:50:48.620 We'll have to pay for that

00:50:49.640 Canadians will have 0.87

00:50:50.400 To pay for that

00:50:51.020 Yes we are

00:50:52.140 We are

00:50:54.460 Humanitarian

00:50:55.880 And we want

00:50:57.080 To help them

00:50:57.820 But first

00:50:58.720 We need to help

00:50:59.620 Afghans 1.00

00:51:00.200 That help us

00:51:01.000 When we were there

00:51:01.720 That's it

00:51:02.300 Final question

00:51:03.360 If elected

00:51:04.000 Prime Minister

00:51:04.560 What are the

00:51:05.260 Three first things

00:51:06.160 You would do

00:51:06.660 The first one

00:51:08.620 It's all these

00:51:09.660 Vaccine passport

00:51:11.020 And mandate masks

00:51:12.540 We will get rid

00:51:13.380 Of all that

00:51:13.940 We will

00:51:14.620 You know

00:51:14.980 Justin Trudeau

00:51:15.680 Said that

00:51:16.100 He will give

00:51:16.620 One billion dollars

00:51:17.800 To provinces

00:51:18.560 For them to

00:51:19.820 Implement a vaccine

00:51:21.000 Passport

00:51:21.540 They won't have

00:51:22.400 Any money

00:51:22.820 They won't have

00:51:23.720 A billion dollars

00:51:24.520 So the most important

00:51:25.840 We will save

00:51:27.060 Our country

00:51:27.680 And we will

00:51:28.520 Protect our freedoms

00:51:29.480 And our rights

00:51:30.280 And after that

00:51:31.340 We'll balance

00:51:31.840 We'll do everything

00:51:32.540 To balance the budget

00:51:33.420 So we'll cut the CBC

00:51:35.380 We want the media

00:51:36.840 To be independent

00:51:37.980 Not dependent

00:51:39.040 On the government

00:51:40.180 Independent

00:51:40.700 So no more money

00:51:41.740 To CBC

00:51:42.300 No more money

00:51:42.960 To the mainstream media

00:51:44.700 No more money

00:51:46.100 To foreign aid

00:51:46.860 We will put

00:51:48.100 Our country first

00:51:49.200 And Canadian first

00:51:50.300 And actually yes

00:51:52.780 We will pass

00:51:53.540 A legislation

00:51:54.220 To build pipelines

00:51:55.200 We will change

00:51:56.280 The equalization formula

00:51:57.340 We can do that

00:51:58.220 We have a lot

00:51:59.240 Of things to do

00:51:59.940 And we'll do it

00:52:00.740 Step by step

00:52:01.440 We'll be able

00:52:01.920 To achieve that

00:52:02.560 But the most important

00:52:03.860 Canadians

00:52:05.400 Need our voice

00:52:07.340 In Ottawa

00:52:07.880 Step by step

00:52:09.100 And I don't

00:52:10.260 You know

00:52:10.480 I'm realistic

00:52:11.120 I don't believe

00:52:12.020 That I'll be

00:52:12.560 Prime Minister tomorrow

00:52:13.560 Not after the election

00:52:15.100 This election

00:52:16.060 Maybe after the other one

00:52:17.400 But now this party

00:52:18.720 Needs to grow

00:52:20.020 And need to have

00:52:21.200 Some new

00:52:22.220 Member of parliament

00:52:23.400 PPC member of parliament

00:52:24.680 And I believe

00:52:25.500 That we'll be able

00:52:26.280 To have

00:52:26.720 Member candidates

00:52:28.560 Elected

00:52:29.420 And we'll have

00:52:30.220 That freedom

00:52:30.840 Common sense voice

00:52:32.060 In Ottawa

00:52:43.560 If that Milliarden

00:52:47.480 That free

00:52:49.380 Member of parliament

00:52:50.280 Andavin

00:52:55.980 And should

00:52:56.420 Help

00:53:00.560 Them

00:53:01.100 New

00:53:02.360 To have

00:53:03.020 Moved

00:53:03.260 提 injustice

00:53:03.740 You

00:53:04.100 I believe

00:53:04.700 That

00:53:05.100 Been

00:53:05.640 A

00:53:05.960 しょう

00:53:06.480 To have

00:53:07.880 To have

00:53:08.640 To do

00:53:09.180 And

00:53:09.200 land

00:53:09.240 It

00:53:09.760 To have

00:53:10.740 Даже

00:53:10.780 Settings
