00:02:59.080 And it is a form of a legal memo which we sent to the police yesterday, both the police headquarters and the local attachment, outlining an important court case.
00:03:11.360 And I'm just going to take a moment to tell you about that court case, and let me sum up the case really succinctly.
00:03:17.040 A man named Fleming had a flag like this, a Canadian flag, and he was standing at the side of the road, and he was protesting in Caledonia.
00:03:26.580 And some counter-protesters started to move towards him, and the police arrested Mr. Fleming.
00:03:33.240 Now, he wasn't doing anything wrong.
00:03:34.880 He wasn't doing anything criminal or illegal in any way.
00:03:37.500 He was just holding a Canadian flag, and the police arrested him because they said it was an incitement to breach of the peace.
00:03:46.020 The Supreme Court, in a 9-0 ruling, said that's not the law.
00:03:51.320 You cannot arrest someone in Canada who is not doing anything wrong simply because someone else might have a breach of the peace.
00:04:01.400 In fact, the police duty is to go after the folks who would cause the breach, not the law-abiding bystander.
00:04:09.660 That is the top law of the land.
00:04:11.660 The Supreme Court of Canada, 9-0, issued that ruling.
00:04:15.420 And it's common sense, too.
00:04:18.240 Now, what you'll see is there's so many police here.

00:04:23.240 There's an enormous number of police vehicles.
00:04:24.900 For those of you who ducked into Wimpy's Diner for a hot coffee, there's a bunch of cops in there, too, is there is no reason at all why police have to manhandle law-abiding, peaceful Canadians.
00:04:38.240 So if they were going to enforce the law, they can enforce the law against the people who would be violent, the people who have come in from afar.

00:53:44.220 I should tell you that the video of my arrest last week has been seen more than 20 million times.
00:53:51.220 And it was featured on news around the world including on major American networks.
00:53:57.220 And even Canadian mainstream media reported about it.
00:54:01.220 So the police no longer saw it as the path of least resistance to arrest me because a hundred of my closest friends were here with me.

00:54:23.220 I thought it was interesting that there were three pro-Hamas activists standing amongst the Canadian side here.

00:54:40.220 And that's why it pains us to see the police have a two-tier policing system.
00:54:45.220 Now, the reason I say it was only a 90% victory instead of a 100% victory is because there were assaults committed against our side by the Hamas activists and police turned a blind eye.
00:55:00.220 And I think that that's part of the problem is that we have set a precedent where we turn a blind eye to actual crimes by the Hamas side, uttering threats, assault, vandalism, trespass.

00:55:17.220 There was a riot in Montreal a week ago and hundreds of people participated.
00:55:21.220 There were only three arrests.
00:55:23.220 So we're not out of this trouble yet.
00:55:25.220 But I think today was an important first step at retaking our streets.
00:55:30.220 Canada's streets belong to Canadians and no foreign thugs have the power to kick us off our streets.
00:55:40.220 We proved that today in Toronto and it's my hope that that is proven every day from coast to coast.
