Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LEVANT ｜ Canadians rally coast-to-coast against Trudeau's punitive carbon tax

00:00:00.000 Hello, my friends. Exciting show today. We were in the field all across Canada

00:00:04.380 reporting on the grassroots protests against the carbon tax. We had reporters on the streets,

00:00:10.500 in the air even. Very exciting and lots of memories of the same uprising, peaceful uprising,

00:00:18.540 against Trudeau's lockdowns. So please make sure you have the video version of this podcast. It's

00:00:24.700 so important. I want you to see all the things I saw during the live stream, which is where I

00:00:29.560 took these images from. Please go to rebelnewsplus.com. Click subscribe. It's eight

00:00:35.980 bucks a month. That might not be a lot of money to you, but it adds up for us. It makes a big

00:00:40.440 difference. Please go to rebelnewsplus.com. Click subscribe. All right, here's today's show.

00:00:59.560 Tonight, Canadians from coast to coast have a rally against the carbon tax. Echoes of the

00:01:05.340 freedom convoy. It's April 1st, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.

00:01:11.980 Shame on you, you censorious bug.

00:01:15.380 I was very excited today. There was a grassroots protest across the country

00:01:27.820 against the looming carbon tax hike. I guess it's not looming. Today is the day Justin Trudeau and

00:01:35.120 his co-conspirator Jagmeet Singh and their coalition raised the carbon tax by 23%. By the way,

00:01:41.420 they're going to continue to raise it, and the purpose for that is, well, obviously they like

00:01:46.480 money, but the theory is that they want to make everything using energy so expensive that you

00:01:53.820 use less of it. If you remember, Stéphane Dion first called this the green shift to punish your

00:01:59.660 behavior. Trudeau uses the same language, but he's a better communicator. He basically says we want to

00:02:04.900 punish polluters, by which he means anyone who emits carbon dioxide. Of course, that includes you and me.

00:02:10.520 Our breath is carbon dioxide when we exhale. Anytime you use energy to drive, to keep yourself warm, to do

00:02:18.400 practically anything in our modern world, that's carbon. The whole purpose of the carbon tax is to

00:02:24.180 make you reduce, reuse, and recycle your own life. Anyways, last time I can recall national grassroots

00:02:31.320 anti-tax protests were seriously about 30 years ago. I don't know if you remember, but the liberals

00:02:37.340 campaigned on killing, scrapping, and abolishing Brian Mulrooney's GST. Of course, when they took

00:02:42.920 office, they did not do so. There were street protests against high taxes targeting Paul Martin

00:02:47.700 with mixed success, but they're back, and it's an incredible thing to see. And we had reporters

00:02:54.000 across the country today, just like we did during the trucker convoys. It wasn't as large in any one

00:03:01.140 location as the trucker convoy was, because that was a focus. Everyone's going to Ottawa together.

00:03:07.140 There were sort of echo sympathy protests on the Windsor-Detroit Bridge and at the Coutts-Sweetgrass

00:03:13.800 border crossing. But here there were protests everywhere across the country. We had Drea Humphrey 0.96

00:03:20.660 in Nanaimo, BC. We had Angelica Toye and Adam Sose in Calgary. Sheila Gunn-Reed at the Saskatchewan-Alberta

00:03:29.840 border in Lloydminster. Alexa Lavoie in Ottawa. Our friend Efron Monsanto in Hamilton. We had videos

00:03:38.180 from the Atlantic, from St. Catharines. And all this was pouring in in real time. I was doing a live stream,

00:03:45.720 and it went so well, so much fun, that I said, you know, we've got to show the highlights of the

00:03:52.940 live stream as our Ezra LeVant show for tonight. So please enjoy the best of today's live stream,

00:03:59.740 and I hope you feel as enthused and optimistic and community-minded as I did when I was hosting this

00:04:08.280 show. I see that same spirit, the spirit that was out there during the trucker convoy, I see the spirit

00:04:14.660 again today. And back then it was about personal freedom. Today it's about economic freedom. But

00:04:21.380 it's all the same thing about Justin Trudeau's authoritarian impulses. And what a pleasure to

00:04:26.540 see the country rise up again peacefully and gently. So without further ado, for the rest of today's show,

00:04:32.160 please enjoy the highlights from a national day of populist peaceful uprising against Justin

00:04:39.720 Trudeau's carbon tax. I loved it. Take a look. Across the country, Rebel News reporters are live on

00:04:49.300 location for a nationwide series of protests against Justin Trudeau's plans to hike the carbon tax today

00:04:57.980 by a whopping 23%. And I should let you know, that's not it. The liberals have passed a law that the

00:05:08.720 carbon tax will go up every year. In fact, by the time they're done, it'll be more than double,

00:05:15.580 about double what it is right now. Now you might be thinking, this is an insane time to raise a tax on,

00:05:23.860 well, everything that uses energy, from farmers' tractors, to the trucks that ship our things, to the,

00:05:31.460 you know, heating our house, whether it's heating oil or natural gas or

00:05:37.320 anything that is taxed for its carbon dioxide. You might be thinking that, and you would be right, but you

00:05:45.160 fail to understand the point of the carbon tax. And this is what its promoters themselves say.

00:05:52.580 The carbon tax, they say, is not about a cash grab. No, no, no, they say. It's about nudging you to change your

00:06:03.380 behavior. They say that when you drive, when you heat your home, when you put your kids on a school bus, when you

00:06:11.500 do anything with energy, they call that pollution, even though carbon dioxide is a harmless, colorless, odorless gas

00:06:20.320 that is actually plant food. All life on earth needs carbon dioxide. It's a trace element, only 400 parts

00:06:29.620 per million in the atmosphere, but essential for all plant life. They want you to use less, to emit less

00:06:36.900 carbon. They want to make certain activities so expensive that you do less of it. So the fact

00:06:45.220 that using carbon is 23% more painful today, that's not a negative side effect to them.

00:06:54.520 That's the whole point. That's why they're doing it. They're doing it because they want to change your

00:07:01.000 behavior. They want to socially engineer your life. Now, Justin Trudeau is probably the largest user of

00:07:08.700 private jets in Canada, but of course, the rules are different for him. We're going to, in the course

00:07:15.120 of the next hour, visit our reporter, Alexa Lavoie, on the streets of Ottawa, where I see a large protest

00:07:22.160 is gathering, and so too are the police response to him. We're going to go to Nanaimo, BC, where there's

00:07:28.860 a small crowd. I understand that later today, Pierre Pauly, the leader of the Conservatives, will have a large

00:07:34.620 rally there, but that won't start for several hours. To Calgary, where our reporter Angelica Toy is on the 0.98

00:07:42.460 scene. And our chief reporter, Sheila Gunn-Reed, is at the border between Alberta and Saskatchewan, in that

00:07:49.820 interesting city of Lloydminster. But first, I want to show you some little video clips that our team

00:07:56.360 has posted so far this morning. And there are other citizen journalists from other outlets

00:08:02.460 on location. But let's start with this one from Alexa Lavoie, a pro-carbon tax protester

00:08:09.740 and some counter-protesters. Let's take a look at her video that she tweeted earlier this morning.

00:08:18.380 No, it doesn't. The price of gas goes up. The price of heating goes up. The price of groceries goes up.

00:08:24.380 No. They don't give you back more than they take you. Why are the prices of groceries gone up?

00:08:28.860 There's not a single tax. Listen, buddy. You're not going to convince me. I've already had this conversation

00:08:34.060 many times. But I got beat up for having this conversation. So I don't feel safe talking about it

00:08:39.660 with you. I didn't beat you up. I don't feel safe talking about it. I'm being nice. That's an honest

00:08:43.500 question. You guys saw what happened last time I had this conversation, right? It really upset them.

00:08:50.620 When you try to have an adult conversation, there are children that haven't grown up.

00:08:54.980 Yeah. That's the problem. Yeah, but she gets rebates. I don't know this loser. I know that loser. I know 1.00

00:09:00.440 that loser. I know that loser. I know that loser. I know that loser. I think I actually know who that 1.00

00:09:08.360 lady is. I think that's Deanna Sharif. Correct me if I'm wrong. I think she's a professional 0.95

00:09:13.240 protester. You can sort of tell she's got a body cam. She got her gear. And she says she knows people

00:09:20.420 there. She's sort of ready to protest. I think that she's a little bit wackadoodle, as my friend

00:09:26.140 Sheila would say. And if you're protesting for higher energy taxes, you're probably a little

00:09:32.120 bit wackadoodle from the beginning. But I don't think that that was a grassroots citizen. I think

00:09:38.820 I recognize who that person is. I want to show you some anti-tax protesters arriving at Crow's Nest

00:09:48.400 Lake. Now, that's near the Alberta-BC border. Let's take a look there and see how the traffic

00:09:56.060 is mustering at that location. Let's take a look. A little windy.

00:10:11.800 Looks like some campers. It's a little bit reminiscent of the trucker convoy, wouldn't you

00:10:18.080 say? If I understand where Crow's Nest Lake is, it's near the Crow's Nest Pass, I'm going to guess.

00:10:23.320 So that is high in the mountains there. Not a lot of use for electric cars in the mountains

00:10:31.360 where distances are long and the temperature in the winter is often cold, which makes it

00:10:38.100 very taxing on electric vehicles. If you don't have carbon, you're not moving. And if you don't

00:10:44.440 have carbon, you're freezing to death. It's springtime there, but you can still see it's a little bit

00:10:50.060 frosty. Speaking of which, here is scenes from Calgary, Highway 1 and the Highway 22 interchange

00:10:58.620 in Alberta. Absolutely gorgeous footage. You can see the snow-capped Rocky Mountains

00:11:03.440 in the background. Looks like, again, I'm getting vibes of the trucker convoy from two years ago.

00:11:13.920 They're flying the Canadian flag. Look at that. I think I know exactly where that is. It's sort of

00:11:18.900 a parking mustering area just outside the city. Frankly, I think that's on the way to Banff,

00:11:25.980 if I understand where this was taken. Doesn't that look like fun? I bet you some of these folks

00:11:32.280 participated in the Freedom Convoy two years ago. And really, it's another form of freedom. Back then,

00:11:41.180 it was our freedom of association, our freedom of our bodily autonomy, freedom to not have our

00:11:48.260 lives dictated to because we were or weren't jabbed. The lockdowns, the rules that you couldn't

00:11:56.460 attend a funeral or a wedding. You couldn't have more than a half dozen people over for Christmas

00:12:01.380 dinner. Those insane rules. That and in the end, the vaccine mandate for truckers, which launched

00:12:07.240 the Freedom Convoy, the fact that so many Canadians are on the edge of financial disaster now with

00:12:15.820 interest rates skyrocketing. You know, I was reminded that every month, how many people in Canada

00:12:24.420 are run out of their, let's say, fixed five-year mortgage? If you took a mortgage out five years

00:12:32.180 ago and locked in a great rate for five years, let's say your mortgage rate was two percent or

00:12:38.520 even lower, if you recall, mortgages were very cheap a few years ago. So you've been paying a mortgage

00:12:44.360 payment, which is, let's say, half principal and half interest. But now your fixed rate is now going

00:12:52.820 to jump and you have to renew. Well, interest rates are double what they were when you bought your

00:13:00.080 house. And so every single month when I don't know how many hundreds of thousands of Canadian families

00:13:07.840 finish their fixed term for their mortgage, now their mortgage payment is $1,000, $1,500, $2,000 more,

00:13:16.660 especially in cities where housing is so expensive to begin with, like Vancouver and Toronto. And yet

00:13:23.300 Justin Trudeau insists on jacking up carbon taxes by 23%. There's already tremendous inflation and a

00:13:31.700 phenomenon called shrinkflation. That's a made-up word, of course, but what it means is to try and fake it

00:13:38.840 that they're not raising prices. Companies are selling smaller amounts of food, for example,

00:13:46.980 for the same price. So they'll still sell you a steak for $15, but now it'll be this small instead

00:13:55.720 of this big. So between inflation and shrinkflation and mortgage rates going up and the price of housing

00:14:03.440 because of Trudeau's out-of-control immigration, for him to raise taxes 23% today on carbon is absolutely

00:14:11.000 insane. Our friend Sheila Gunn-Reed has footage from the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. Here a tax

00:14:19.620 protest convoy is rolling from Saskatchewan to Alberta at the border. Let's take a look at what

00:14:26.700 our friend Sheila Gunn-Reed caught earlier today on camera. Look at that. Are you not getting those

00:14:36.940 trucker convoy vibes again? What does that one say? Rip-wrap tops? Okay, that's just a company's rig.

00:14:47.560 I wonder what kind of a vehicle that is that doesn't look like a police vehicle. There's a Trump flag.

00:14:53.040 You gotta love it. Oh, no. That's an anti-Trudeau flag. Excuse me. I thought it said Trump.

00:14:59.060 It said F. Trudeau. Those are pretty popular flags. These are good people. What does that say?

00:15:06.660 CO2 is the gas of life. Exactly right. It's called plant food. What does that one say?

00:15:13.080 You cannot tax people into poverty to change the weather and the upside down flag and the carbon tax.

00:15:19.060 Isn't that true? There's a, you know, we hear a lot about misinformation and conspiracy theories.

00:15:24.820 Have you ever heard anything so insane as thinking that if we will just pay 23% more in this particular

00:15:31.560 tax in Canada, that's going to change the weather? What? That is not science. That is disinformation.

00:15:40.760 But how many mainstream journalists say it? Hey, let's go to our next clip. It's our friend Efrain

00:15:47.460 Oswaldo Flores Monsanto. He is in Hamilton, Ontario. He published this footage of, he calls it protesters

00:15:58.460 against the liberal NDP carbon tax. He's very wise to call it that because without the support of

00:16:04.600 Jagmeet Singh, Justin Trudeau could not govern the way he is. Hamilton is a working class city,

00:16:09.840 the steel mills there. But if you know anything about steel mills, you know how carbon intensive

00:16:15.200 they are. You cannot make steel without coal. I don't know if you know that. You can't make it

00:16:23.660 with solar power. You can't make it with wind power. You need the extreme heat that only coal can

00:16:32.680 provide. You cannot make steel without coal. And by the way, if you've ever driven through Hamilton,

00:16:39.260 maybe you're driving on your way down to Niagara Falls, you pass this mighty industrial heartland.

00:16:46.700 And if you were a critic, you might say it looks like the land of Mordor in Lord of the Rings. Like

00:16:52.000 it's, there's smoke and there's fire and there's steel. Imagine being an NDPer for the working classes, 1.00

00:17:00.760 i.e. for the steel makers and being against carbon and wanting to tax carbon. By the way,

00:17:08.920 I saw a poll the other day that the majority of union workers in public sector, in private sector

00:17:14.800 unions support Pierre Polyev. So obviously they're not buying into it. Here's video from Efron earlier

00:17:20.620 today. Axe the tax. F Trudeau. I tell you, whoever came up with that flag concept, F Trudeau has made

00:17:31.840 a mint. Axe the tax. You know, I love the fact that they've got the Canadian flags. And I say that

00:17:39.900 because if you're as old as I am, you remember 1995 when there was a referendum in Quebec to

00:17:47.240 separate. And the Liberal Party pretty much co-opted the Canadian flag and said, if you're

00:17:52.540 for Canada, you're a liberal, vote for us, et cetera. It's a very close run thing that, uh, that

00:17:57.380 referendum, by the way. But the, the freedom movement, the truckers, and now the anti-carbon

00:18:03.800 taxes, they fly the Canadian flag. Sometimes they fly it upside down, which is, you know,

00:18:08.960 is a, uh, pretty much universal signal of distress. There's another video footage from Efron showing

00:18:15.880 the crowd is gathering on that overpass. So those are some video clips. Here's one more. We have,

00:18:21.780 uh, I think of a helicopter. Where is this from? This is Adam Sose. So I presume this is in Calgary.

00:18:28.060 Oh, it's a helicopter with a carbon tax message printed on the side.

00:18:35.740 Axe the tax on a helicopter. That's very exciting. I want, spike the hike. Well, those are, as you may

00:18:45.380 know, uh, the two mottos that Pierre Polyev has used. Look at how much fun is that? I wonder if those

00:18:52.520 are some of the lads who flew their helicopters up to the Whistle Stop diner, uh, to show support

00:18:58.700 for the restaurant in Mirror, Alberta, that wouldn't shut down. I know a couple of guys came

00:19:03.160 in by helicopter to, um, to patronize that restaurant a couple of years ago. I bet it's

00:19:08.860 the same guys because they're freedom lovers. Here's another clip from Sheila Gunn-Reed. Let's

00:19:12.460 take a look at it. This is also from the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. Let's take a look. It looks like,

00:19:17.800 uh, it's turning into kind of a festival situation. Looks cool out there, but it's obviously warmer

00:19:25.200 than the minus 20, uh, that, that was at Coots during the border protests there or Ottawa.

00:19:33.560 That looks fun. People brought snacks and drinks, proudly serving the Midwest and, okay, that's

00:19:39.200 just a corporate sign. Looks like a barbecue's kicking off. Would you, how much fun is that?

00:19:44.340 And how real and grassrootsy is that? Uh, we showed you earlier one pro-carbon tax protester

00:19:54.420 who I think was Deanna Sharif, professional shit disturber, to be candid. Um, compare that 1.00

00:20:01.560 to the real life community spirit style of the, I, I, you know, even if it's sort of a crappy hot dog,

00:20:10.480 they always taste better because there's that community spirit, that friendly neighbors,

00:20:16.240 you know, almost like a potluck. Hey, it looks like we've got some more video from Alexa Lavoie

00:20:22.140 from Parliament Hill. Yeah, let's show that. Now you, you're going to have a few professional

00:20:27.540 protesters for the carbon tax, but I don't know a single human, uh, like normal person

00:20:34.140 who's for that. Unless you have some angle, unless you're paid to say that, what normal

00:20:39.800 person says, yeah, I want to pay more taxes. Brother, if you want to pay more taxes, go

00:20:43.900 ahead and do it. Don't make the rest of us. You know what? This is the vibe. I was there

00:20:48.220 for, I think two and a half days during the original, oh, look at that. Axe attack. You give it.

00:20:55.140 Axe attack. Axe attack. Axe attack. Axe attack. Axe attack. Axe attack. Oh, axe attack.

00:21:05.640 You've got to go. Axe attack. Axe attack. Axe attack. Axe attack. Axe attack. You've got to go.

00:21:10.580 How much fun is that? That's what it was like during the trucker convoy, except for you don't need

00:21:17.600 gloves and a hat now. Cause it's not minus 20. They're having some fun. They're singing some

00:21:22.680 songs. They got some placards. I see a little cooler there in the background. I think I don't

00:21:28.540 quite see any bouncy castles or hot tubs, but the day is still young. Um, isn't that fun? Coast to

00:21:38.100 coast to coast. I don't know about the Northern coast, but I tell you one thing I have been to

00:21:42.440 Inovic. I have been to Tuktoyuktuk. It's all fossil fuels up there. Um, their electricity

00:21:48.520 does not come from wind, uh, or solar. It comes from diesel generators and without fossil fuels,

00:21:56.280 it simply would not be habitable. Now I understand that Pierre Polyev is holding a rally in Nanaimo,

00:22:01.460 BC tonight. Nanaimo is a city on Vancouver Island. And I think Vancouver Island is in play. There's some

00:22:09.480 parts of it that are very green. Remember that's where Elizabeth May is from. She's about an hour

00:22:15.660 and a half South of there. Uh, but our friend Drea Humphrey is on the ground in Nanaimo right now. 0.97

00:22:21.740 Let's connect to her by zoom or Skype. If we can Drea, can you hear me? I can hear you. Can you hear

00:22:28.740 me? I sure can crystal clear. Great to see you. Uh, thanks for joining us live. Tell me where you are

00:22:35.280 and what you see. Well, I'm in Nanaimo right now. There's a group that's just started to gather for

00:22:41.720 the carbon tax protests. We're in front of federal MP Lisa Marie Barron's office up there and two door

00:22:49.420 down, you have another MVP, this time provincial Sheila Melkinson, the MLA. So that's where they're

00:22:57.140 gathering right now. Um, it's just started. So this is just one of the legs in BC. I think our big

00:23:04.740 meeting in BC is probably a convoy that is headed out to Hope. There are people going from Kelowna,

00:23:12.700 Langley, BC, um, all the way up to there. So I've got some eyes over there. We'll get some footage of

00:23:18.960 that as well. That's great. Thank you for that. Now, if I got my time zones, right, it's still only

00:23:24.120 10 30 AM in BC out there in Nanaimo. So these folks are gathering now. I understand that tonight

00:23:32.380 though, Pierre Polyev is having a large rally there. Is that accurate?

00:23:37.260 That's absolutely correct. So there is a press conference happening in the afternoon,

00:23:41.960 which I'll be covering. And then also I will be covering the rally. Now it's important to note

00:23:47.700 that there is another rally happening at the legislator in Victoria too. So some people are

00:23:52.380 there right now. Um, but I'm in Nanaimo covering all the stuff that's happening, carbon tax related

00:23:58.480 today. Well, I love Nanaimo. I, I used to visit there every year. Tell me what some of the signs

00:24:05.080 say. I can see some of them, um, taxed enough already. Isn't that the truth? I saw a flacker

00:24:11.640 there, I think, uh, remarking on the fact that while taxes for you and me go up today, um, salaries

00:24:18.100 for MPs are being raised today too. Isn't that crazy?

00:24:21.420 That's right. There was a sign here about the salaries. I think the lady, it was a young

00:24:26.920 lady. And I think she's walking away over there. I don't remember exactly what it said,

00:24:31.980 but she's calling that out. I think if I had to recap, it was something like MP salary means

00:24:38.300 poverty for us or something like that. So she's down there. And I think there's one lady who

00:24:43.280 wants to say something. Did you want to say why you're here?

00:24:46.260 Oh, I'd love to say.

00:24:47.160 Can you hear her?

00:24:48.380 Yeah, go ahead. Hi, it's Ezra LeVent in Toronto. Why are you at that rally, ma'am?

00:24:53.940 Hey, just hang on. I got to get an earbud in. He says, why are you at the rally?

00:24:57.980 Why am I at the rally? I'm at the rally, uh, for redemption of what Trudeau's father started

00:25:05.940 in this country back in the eighties. And I watched it decline back then. I watched my father have to

00:25:12.160 line up at the welfare office back then. And I'm witnessing it again today. And I cannot believe

00:25:19.340 it's taken this many years to keep the Trudeau family out of this country and out of politics.

00:25:26.100 It has to stop. We as Canadians have got to raise up a backbone and start to fight. We can still be a

00:25:32.680 nice country. We can still be a peaceful people, but we've got to raise up a backbone.

00:25:37.300 Wow. Very powerful. Thank you for sharing that thought with us. I appreciate that.

00:25:43.460 Yeah, you're welcome.

00:25:44.960 Drea, that's incredible. I remember, I mean, I was very young when Pierre Trudeau was prime

00:25:49.820 minister, but the devastation of his policies, especially in the West. And it sounds like

00:25:54.580 that woman is, has those memories at the top of her mind as the Trudeau Jr. destroys the economy, 0.89

00:26:02.500 cost of living, making it impossible for people to buy homes. Very moving. And frankly,

00:26:07.300 I got the chills there because I was not expecting that answer. Hey, there's a sign behind you right

00:26:13.000 now. What does that say? I'm just curious because I love the homemade signs. Taxed enough already.

00:26:18.400 Okay. We see that one. Are there any other? Perfect. Are there other signs we can take a peek at?

00:26:24.400 Yeah, we've got some axe attack signs. It looks like they've walked to a different location on the end.

00:26:31.240 Some people waving. Okay. Now- Yeah, there's an actual axe, which is quite interesting here.

00:26:37.940 Yeah. That's right. That's right. Yeah. Axe attacks. Look at that creativity. Look at- I mean,

00:26:44.140 that must have taken an hour to make. How long did that take you to do?

00:26:47.940 Oh, it was probably a couple hours. A couple of hours. So lots of dedication.

00:26:54.220 People are done with this tax. And as you know, British Columbia has a bit of a unique situation.

00:27:00.860 We have the highest amount of taxes that we pay for gas, and we have our own carbon tax,

00:27:07.700 which has to match the federal carbon tax. But also, you know, it has no hold on it. It could

00:27:14.340 exceed if they wanted to in this government. So in some ways, British Columbians have extra

00:27:19.920 reason to be out here today. Last question, Dre. And by the way,

00:27:23.380 thanks so much for going there. And the connection is crystal clear. It's perfect. Thank you very much.

00:27:29.080 You're outside the offices of a federal MP and a provincial MLA. Have either of them- I take it

00:27:36.840 neither is in their office at this hour. Has any staff- has there been any interaction,

00:27:41.780 or have people been going into the offices? Have they said anything, or is it all closed up?

00:27:49.120 It is all closed up. It doesn't look like anyone's in there. I don't know if you can see. I'm trying

00:27:54.920 the door right now. It's locked. In fact, every time I've covered a protest, doesn't matter what day

00:28:02.660 it is. I mean, it is Easter Monday. But even on a normal day, I have not seen them be open in British

00:28:08.700 Columbia. So I don't know what type of work they're actually doing. Our friend Lincoln Jay

00:28:13.600 looks like he's got some imagery from Uxbridge, Ontario. Let's just take a look at this. I

00:28:20.180 haven't even seen this yet. It looks like a big rig. Go ahead and look at this.

00:28:31.760 Tax to tax.

00:28:38.520 Nice. Oh, and there's a farm rig. Carbon taxes, higher grocery prices. Exactly right.

00:28:45.320 I love this spirit. Look at that. Another no carbon tax. Look at that, John Deere.

00:28:52.720 You can tell by those classic colors, yellow and green. No carbon tax. Look at that. I love seeing

00:29:00.100 the agricultural support. That reminds me a little bit of the Coutts, Alberta protest. You had the

00:29:05.860 truckers, but the farmers were actually the backbone of that protest. Look at those. Yeah, there's that

00:29:11.280 big rig again. Well, that's, I think that's courtesy of our friend Lincoln Jay. Isn't that

00:29:17.800 interesting? All right, Olivia, you'll let me know if we make a connection with our other reporters on

00:29:26.700 the ground. And I'm just looking through our live stream Slack channel to see if there are other

00:29:35.100 clips. Did we, was there an extra one there from Alexa Lavoie that I see 32 minutes ago in Slack? Did we,

00:29:44.120 did we see that one yet? I'm looking at Slack. Um, maybe she's gone ahead and tweeted it.

00:29:54.320 I think we've seen some of those. It's in Slack. Um, I'm not sure if we, we played the one in Slack

00:30:02.120 from, yeah, that's the one right there. Let's just take a look at what that one is.

00:30:07.680 I'm curious about Ottawa because of course that was the most dramatic, uh, location for the, um,

00:30:15.960 trucker convoy. And also the police there were the most abusive, um, shooting people, guns,

00:30:24.540 beating people. Uh, that's really where the Emergencies Act was deployed for Trudeau's vanity. 0.92

00:30:30.700 Um, I'm not sure if we have any reports of police abuse yet today, but it wouldn't shock me because

00:30:38.320 again, these anti-tax rallies embarrass Trudeau. And that's really, uh, what he hates the most.

00:30:45.340 Go ahead and play that clip if you can.

00:30:47.040 So that's outside the Chateau Laurier. Oh, it's quite a, quite a group. Spike the hype,

00:31:00.560 Axe the Carbon Tax. Looks sort of fun. That's, that looks like a good group.

00:31:06.840 Let's go to our friend, Sheila Gunn-Reed, our chief reporter who is live on location

00:31:12.500 at the Saskatchewan, Alberta town of Lloydminster. It's a very interesting city.

00:31:18.120 It actually straddles the border. Sheila, great to see you. How are you doing out there?

00:31:22.800 Yeah.

00:31:23.720 I don't know if you can hear me over the horn honking and the wind. It's cold. We've been here since 745,

00:31:31.240 but there are a few hundred people here and there's trucks. Um, it looks like Canada day

00:31:37.080 behind me with all the flags. Uh, so we're just on the Saskatchewan side where people are getting

00:31:44.120 a little bit more money in their pocket because of the Scotlow government's efforts to shelter the

00:31:50.940 people here from the carbon tax by not collecting the carbon tax on their, um, home heating and

00:31:57.440 electricity because they are, they're able to do that thanks to a crown corporation that acts as

00:32:03.220 the energy distributor here. But I mean, lots of Albertans, lots of people from Saskatchewan,

00:32:09.160 the entire parking lot across the way is full of trucks, semi-trailers, RVs, tractors. It feels

00:32:18.300 like the convoy again. It looks like it. It looks like a lot of fun. It looks cool, but not deep

00:32:24.580 freezing. Although you look warm in your hat. And I saw your footage earlier of the snacks.

00:32:30.560 It looks like there was a grill and, you know, I guess it's, uh, that was breakfast out there. I'm

00:32:36.380 very interested in what the snacks were. I hear some honking. It looks like a bit of a party. I mean,

00:32:41.900 I'm from Calgary and you know, one of the fun things about Calgary is the stampede breakfast

00:32:46.600 for one week a year. Everywhere you go, there's people cooking up pancakes and sausages and

00:32:53.040 serving coffee for free to walkers by. And it just has a team spirit. That's the vibe I was

00:32:59.420 getting from your footage. It looks like that's how it is. That's completely it. So there was a slow

00:33:05.040 roll of the trucks through town. They went to the Alberta side and then they came back a couple of

00:33:09.060 times, but yeah, when everybody got back, they came back to a full pancake breakfast, sausage, bacon,

00:33:16.100 pancakes, beans, coffee, juice. Uh, we did take part. That's for sure. Cause we were here really

00:33:23.540 early. Um, and we needed some warm food in our belly. Um, but yeah, free pancake breakfast. Um,

00:33:29.420 very family friendly, despite all the F Trudeau flags, lots of little kids here. Um, and there,

00:33:36.480 you know, there are people walking up and down the side of the highway, giving out donuts and treats. Um,

00:33:42.360 and it's nothing but honks of support. Yeah. That's us enjoying the pancake breakfast. That's

00:33:48.440 our, uh, favorite volunteer lease. She's from Saskatchewan and then Kian and his beautiful

00:33:53.460 fiance. Uh, we're taking a quick break from working so hard. Well, that's great. And I'm glad

00:33:58.880 you gave me the whole menu breakdown. Now I'm even more jealous that I wasn't there. Now I see some

00:34:05.100 flags behind you. Again, I mentioned earlier that the, uh, truckers and the freedom movement has

00:34:10.780 appropriated the symbols of Canada, which I find delicious because I remember, uh, 20 years ago,

00:34:16.920 the liberal party tried to own the flag and own the symbols of patriotism. And they did so to fight

00:34:23.980 the separatists in Quebec and their referendum. And it's amazing to me now when, when regime media

00:34:30.760 and liberal politicians say, anyone who says words like freedom or flies the Canadian flag are suspect.

00:34:37.340 They have actually conceded that the patriotic symbols belong to the freedom fighting grassroots.

00:34:45.360 It's really quite a change from 30 years ago. Well, and I think a lot of these people in

00:34:51.260 another time would probably have considered themselves to be soft Western separatists.

00:34:57.480 Um, but I think a lot of the people here have that same sentiment that Tamera Leach had,

00:35:01.380 that she went into the freedom convoy being sort of finished with Canada. And now she feels it's

00:35:08.000 something important and, uh, something to fight for. And that's what we're seeing here. I'm old

00:35:14.180 enough to remember, um, when this would be behind me, the majority of the flags would be Alberta or

00:35:20.020 Saskatchewan flags and not Canadian flags. That's just the way it is out here. Um, but you know,

00:35:25.740 we're seeing the inverse where people are realizing that Canada is ours and it doesn't belong to the

00:35:31.580 Laurentian elite. Yeah. And you know, I remember when Preston Manning, um, debuted the reform party,

00:35:37.720 his motto was the West wants in. And he basically said, Hey, separatists, we can reform things. So it

00:35:43.840 didn't quite work out that way, but he gave people some constructive hope. And I'm going to say that

00:35:49.340 Pierre Polyev is doing the same thing. Uh, Aaron O'Toole, the last conservative leader was disgraceful.

00:35:59.120 Uh, he wouldn't be seen with the truckers. He, uh, was a carbon tax aficionado. He said, Oh,

00:36:05.360 I'll just call it a carbon levy. Uh, that's how different I am. I mean, just an absolute sellout

00:36:10.700 and that demoralized conservatives, demoralized Westerners. And I think people, uh, felt, well,

00:36:18.540 what's the point every party in Ottawa is against me, but, but the truckers actually were the ones

00:36:25.800 who managed to throw overboard Aaron O'Toole and Jason Kenney, the truckers are responsible for the

00:36:31.840 two greatest acts of political hygiene in Canada of 2022. And Pierre Polyev in his own way has embraced

00:36:40.140 the freedom movement. He's certainly leading the charge on the anti-carbon tax stuff. He's cautiously

00:36:47.340 talking about transgenderism, cautiously talking about immigration, as opposed to being absolutely

00:36:53.900 a cheerleader for the liberal point of view, like Aaron O'Toole was. I think, well, there's some

00:36:58.520 honking. I think that Pierre Polyev is giving Westerners in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and even BC 0.73

00:37:07.080 some hope that maybe things can be fixed in Ottawa. I note that some of those flags are upside down,

00:37:13.560 which is a signal of distress, which is true, but they are still Canadian flags that are upside down.

00:37:19.720 Yeah. Well, and let's not forget that it's not just Pierre Polyev that is giving Westerners hope.

00:37:25.080 It's also our own premiers, Scott Moe, Daniel Smith, and you know, their, their constant fight for

00:37:32.680 provincial autonomy against the federal government. They're showing these people that there is a way

00:37:36.780 forward within Confederation where the provinces have more control of their fate.

00:37:42.940 Oh, it looks like we've got some drone footage. Oh yeah. Let's show this for sure.

00:37:50.620 Okay. Some snow on the ground. Well, there's a lot of vehicles. This looks like it's that highway one,

00:37:56.140 or maybe this is from the helicopter. It's from the, I can hear the chopper. You know what? I bet

00:38:02.380 those are the good guys who flew up to the mirror, Alberta whistle stop diner in the helicopters. Okay.

00:38:08.380 So you can see that's sort of the, looks like there's a lot of vehicles parked in that little

00:38:15.980 turnoff and you can see all the people on the side of the road makes me slightly nervous that they're

00:38:22.060 standing near traffic, but it looks like the vehicles are slowing down. You know what? I'm not,

00:38:27.660 I'm not going to be a safety Karen, but it makes me slightly nervous that they're standing on the side

00:38:33.580 of the highway one like that. Here's some footage of the city itself. And I don't suppose that that's

00:38:41.900 the convoy there in the center. I don't, don't think it is. That just looks like a beautiful shot

00:38:47.420 of Calgary. I grew up in Calgary and one of my favorite things was the cold, sunny days in the

00:38:54.700 winter. Oh, here looks like Adam is ready in front of the helicopter. I want to know more about this

00:39:00.140 helicopter. Let's see if we can go live. Adam, great to see you. Thanks very much for being on

00:39:05.980 location. I was looking at that helicopter. Are those the good guys who went up to the whistle stop

00:39:12.860 cafe by helicopter to patronize Chris Scott when he was attacked by the, by the government?

00:39:21.500 That's right. In fact, when they posted these pictures on social media, Chris Scott immediately

00:39:25.500 said, are you coming up for a burger? Um, there, this is also the helicopter that we went down. We

00:39:30.220 did some coverage of the freedom convoy as well as the coots sort of border protest. So we've been

00:39:35.900 very fortunate in a friend who has this helicopter of the rebel copter, as we lovingly call it. But as you

00:39:41.660 can see, emblazoned acts, the tax on the other side of the helicopter, you have hiked the spike.

00:39:47.100 Um, they were working all weekend to get these, uh, uh, decals like done. And it looks incredible.

00:39:51.660 People have been like waving from the ground. It's been, it's been pretty great.

00:39:55.020 Did you actually go up in the rebel copter? I remember we gave it that name when we had that

00:39:58.940 special mission. I knew it. I, I thought these guys have got to be the guy. I met them. They're great.

00:40:05.900 They're real, you know, they're, they're frisky, fun, loving, troublemaking Albertans,

00:40:10.700 which is the kind you gotta love. Uh, did you go up with them today?

00:40:15.740 Every time. Yeah.

00:40:16.540 Are you serious? You were up there.

00:40:19.260 That's my footage. Yeah. The tweets you're showing there, that's me filming. Uh, we actually flew

00:40:23.260 over in Angelica on the ground in Calgary. They were filming us from the ground. So we'll get that

00:40:28.300 shot as well. So we're going to have multiple angles of it. Incredible. And there was a big

00:40:32.780 crowd there. I'll tell you if people, if people look close on that footage, uh, where the traffic

00:40:36.460 is starting to back up the little shadows, you can see is probably about a hundred people

00:40:41.020 along the side of the highway. But yeah, we'll do a couple more, uh, laps around. I don't know if

00:40:45.740 we'll quite get out to the borders. It's a bit of a haul to get there and back. We'll stop in at a

00:40:50.140 couple of the other sort of planned protests around the city. Certainly before we head back in the

00:40:54.300 LB airborne, uh, we stopped to fuel up the pilot for a quick bite of lunch. That's why I can join

00:40:58.940 you without the choppers deafening us. But, uh, yeah, well, that's great. And of course, you know,

00:41:04.620 helicopters don't fly on, you know, pixie dust or solar. They fly on fuel. Everything that moves

00:41:12.220 relies on carbon. Everything that keeps us warm relies on carbon. So, but I know those guys from

00:41:18.380 their support for the whistle stop diner. And I am delighted to know, you know, I sort of, I,

00:41:23.020 I forgot that we called it the rebel copter when you were in a mission down to coots.

00:41:28.380 That's amazing. Well, please pass on my personal regards to those guys. I had the pleasure of

00:41:33.900 meeting them and it's wonderful to have an air force like that. And as I was saying earlier,

00:41:39.660 we did have a clip of one professional protester pro carbon tax, but I just don't think any severely

00:41:47.180 normal person would say, yeah, I don't think I'm paying enough for fuel. I mean, like there's no

00:41:53.100 one, there's no one in favor of this. Is there? No. Well, and the reason that this helicopter is out

00:41:58.780 today is because he's a business owner. He has a major construction company and he even commented in

00:42:04.060 an interview that we'll be sharing and stop the carbon tax.com that the reason he's doing this is

00:42:08.540 because the slurs charge, the surcharge on the fuel today is nothing compared to all the construction

00:42:13.500 vehicles that he's fueling. Furthermore, maybe not everyone owns a business, but normal people just

00:42:18.380 trying to keep their homes, just trying to get by while those folks are struggling. And that's

00:42:22.460 ultimately, it's the same thing as the pandemic protests, severely normal people simply trying to

00:42:28.300 live their lives in the government, making that impossible. That's again, what this protest is all

00:42:32.540 about. Yeah. And of course, in some ways we are able to detect the carbon tax directly in our own

00:42:39.660 lives. If we get a fuel bill, if we get an energy bill, but of course embedded within everything we

00:42:46.380 buy at a store is the cost of getting it to the store. And if it's food, the cost of the farm equipment

00:42:51.900 to grow it. So this really is an everything tax. And I'm delighted to see this national uprising.

00:42:58.780 I haven't seen a good national anti-tax protest in more than 20 years. And it is a pleasure to see

00:43:06.380 it again. Last word to you, Adam. You know, I think the thing that I would just like to comment

00:43:11.420 here, and if it's a little bit boring and political, I apologize. Lots of people are commenting on the

00:43:16.300 fuel tax going up and saying, why aren't you criticizing that? Well, frankly, I would criticize

00:43:21.180 that. But the difference here is, is that is a sort of market linked oil price based thing that isn't

00:43:26.860 being added to our costs. So when oil prices change, that sort of price changes, it goes up

00:43:32.140 and down. That is a different thing altogether. And that's based on a plan, a plan sort of economy,

00:43:36.860 a plan budget for the province. Adding to that, this carbon tax that nobody wants, nobody needs,

00:43:42.540 nobody voted for. And now it's not just the people standing alone. It's seven provinces saying

00:43:47.020 enough is enough. It's a different conversation altogether. So for folks making that comparison,

00:43:51.260 let's just cut it out. Let's focus on the real new tax, this hikes carbon tax.

00:43:55.900 Oh boy. Here's, here's something I mentioned before about how I saw those people on the road.

00:44:04.300 And it made me nervous because I know this highway, this is highway. This is the highway to Banff,

00:44:09.340 from Calgary to Banff. It's highway one, as it's called, the Trans-Canada Highway.

00:44:15.180 And cars go down there. I think the speed limit's 110. And a lot of cars go 120, 130. Let me tell you

00:44:23.660 from personal experience. So they're putting out pylons. They're reducing it by, it looks like they're

00:44:32.380 reducing it by two lanes. Would you agree with me? That's what it looks like. Angelica says,

00:44:37.900 breaking acts of tax protesters have blocked a lane. So maybe one of those is, uh, maybe there's

00:44:44.780 only one lane being blocked and the other is sort of, uh, an easement there. But I was wondering

00:44:52.460 when I saw those people on the road, it made me a little nervous, but traffic was slowing down. I see

00:44:56.380 we have Angelica on standby now, wearing her rebel hat and a nice warm coat. Angelica, great to see. 0.98

00:45:04.700 What's the temperature like there? I hear the honking horns. Um, so it looks like it's warm

00:45:09.180 in spirit. Is it chilly out there? Hi, Ezra. It's supposed to be 11 degrees. Um, I'd say it's

00:45:15.420 just a bit under, but it's definitely brought the crowd out considering it's not minus 20. So yeah,

00:45:20.620 that's been great. Well, it's very exciting. I see someone behind you in a costume with a flag. And I,

00:45:26.860 I saw some of the aerial shots of people on the road that made me sort of nervous because I know that road,

00:45:32.540 but it looks like they've got pylons and everyone's slowing down. And it looks like

00:45:36.940 most of the drivers are honking their support because they're not being blocked.

00:45:40.700 They're just temporarily being slowed down. And it sounds like they're supportive.

00:45:44.780 Every other truck is honking its agreement. Yes, definitely. Uh, they've actually,

00:45:51.980 originally they negotiated with the RCMP to just block off a certain, uh, portion. Um, and it looks like

00:45:58.460 they are moving the lanes right now. They're moving, they're moving them back. Actually,

00:46:05.180 it looks like the, uh, RCMP are, have turned on their sirens.

00:46:13.820 All right. So they, so you're saying they negotiated with the RCMP to close a lane and now

00:46:18.860 the RCMP are turning on their sirens. So the protesters are, are moving back. Is that right?

00:46:23.420 Uh, yes, that's what I've heard from some protesters that they were negotiating, but the protesters did

00:46:28.620 themselves then move the pylons up, uh, to fully block the lane. Um, but yes, it looks like right now

00:46:36.140 the RCMP are trying to interfere with what's happening here. So is that, uh, are those RCMP vehicles

00:46:43.340 on the left there or help, help me figure out what we're looking at. So, uh, we have the RCMP that is

00:46:49.420 the white vehicle with this, uh, I'm not sure if you guys can actually see the, uh, okay. So they're

00:46:55.820 making room for an ambulance. Oh, I see. Okay. Well, that makes a lot of sense. Well, look at that.

00:47:01.820 Getting her done. There we go. Safety first. Nice. Okay. Well, that's the right thing to do.

00:47:08.700 And there's the RCMP. So maybe if they negotiated that one lane, maybe they'll take the lane back now.

00:47:14.060 Let's see if that happens. Potentially. Yeah. Let's see. Here we go. Yeah. That's exactly. There we go.

00:47:21.660 That's exactly what happened. Isn't that neat? There was an ambulance. So they cleared it.

00:47:26.700 Ambulance went through and then they closed it off again. Very interesting.

00:47:33.100 How many folks would you say are there? We saw an aerial shot. It looked like,

00:47:37.100 I don't know. I, I'm not going to guess you're right in the heart of it. How many folks would you say

00:47:40.780 are there? I would approximate around 200. Yeah. There is, uh, people keep trickling now,

00:47:47.340 I guess, since it's warmed up and it's later in the day. So people are more people are starting to come

00:47:50.860 in. Yeah. It's only 12 noon out there in Alberta right now. Now tell me, um, what kind of people

00:47:57.180 are there? I see Alberta flags, Canadian flags, some homemade placards about Trudeau with the odd F

00:48:03.020 bomb, which I can completely understand. So who are these folks? Are they locals? Did they come in 0.96

00:48:07.740 mainly from Calgary? What are they like? There is definitely a variety of people. I know some

00:48:13.660 people did convoy down from Edmonton and Red Deer. Uh, there's definitely quite a variety of people

00:48:20.220 here. And, um, and I, I see some guys, are there, are there any families there or probably being by the

00:48:27.740 side of the highway is not the best place for a kid to be. I don't see any kids. There were some kids,

00:48:33.340 I think, uh, up in Lloydminster where Sheila was, what's it like there? Is it just sort of adults?

00:48:39.900 The majority are adults, but I have seen some kids in some families. There was actually a kid

00:48:43.820 earlier, they set up, um, an axe attacks, uh, place where kids can like throw axes and they have

00:48:49.420 like a target done. So some kids have been playing with that. That's great. So basically, uh, the police

00:48:56.220 are watching over things, but they're not making any moves. They're not arresting. Have you seen any

00:49:01.340 tickets being handed out or even parking tickets? I haven't seen any of that, uh, taking place,

00:49:07.820 but I did stumble upon two RCMP officers speaking to a woman earlier. And as I approached them with

00:49:13.260 my camera, they asked me to step away. Uh, so I did get that on camera. Hopefully we can add that

00:49:18.700 to the reports that that's about it so far. We have footage from the St. Catherine's overpass.

00:49:26.860 So back to Ontario. Now let's take a quick look at this. Trudeau must go with the

00:49:33.820 maple leaf in distress. Looks like people on both sides of the overpass. Lots of homemade signs.

00:49:41.740 On that side, it looks like dozens of people and it's tough to tell on this side. I think it's safe

00:49:47.500 to say there's a hundred protesters on this bridge. Jail bird. I love the homemade art.

00:49:53.740 That's the thing about conservative or freedom oriented protesters. They typically don't have a

00:50:00.060 prefab placard printed for them by some professional organizer. They make their own. You know what? I've

00:50:07.020 attended dozens of protests in our time. And, um, you go to a left wing protest. You ask people,

00:50:16.940 what are you here for? What do you stand for? They often clam up. They're afraid they don't know what

00:50:22.620 to say. And they say, talk to her. She's the spokesman. Talk to him. He's a spokesman. They

00:50:27.260 don't know because they're just a rent them up. That's the left wing professional protesters side.

00:50:32.300 Whereas conservative or populist or freedom oriented people, like you, you go to any

00:50:38.220 of the COVID lockdown protests, you ask people, what are you here for? They'll talk your ear off

00:50:42.460 for an hour. They know exactly why they're there because they thought about it because they're

00:50:47.020 not professional protesters. I'd say the same thing here. Every single person at these protests

00:50:52.620 knows exactly why they're there. And they made their own signs because it's from the heart.

00:50:58.060 All right. I see out of the corner of my eye that our friend, Alexa Lavoie is now joining us via

00:51:03.980 Skype. And I see behind her, one of the buildings of parliament. It looks like she's on Wellington

00:51:09.820 right now. Alexa, how are you? Can you hear me? Yes, I can hear you, Israel. Well, it's great to see

00:51:16.380 you. And I see that you're walking with a group of people. It looks like you're walking east on

00:51:21.900 Wellington. And behind you is the west block and the Wellington block, if I'm getting the names right.

00:51:28.060 And you're moving east towards the center block. How many people are there? And have they shut off

00:51:33.020 the road? It looks like you're on the road. Have they closed the road?

00:51:35.660 And so they closed one side of the street for now. But it seems that now they have closed both sides.

00:51:44.940 But the protesters went to the Quebec side. So they took the bridge, they marched the other side to

00:51:52.860 Quebec. And now they are on their way back to Parliament Hill. Wow. So how many protesters,

00:51:59.580 it's a little bit difficult to tell, how many protesters are still on the Ontario side with you?

00:52:05.420 And how many, just rough estimate, crossed the bridge over into Quebec?

00:52:11.020 So there was some protesters who actually stayed at the Parliament Hill. And so I would say about

00:52:19.740 maybe a little bit less than 100 have marched to the Quebec side and back, I would say, roughly.

00:52:32.460 A lot of people say that they were expecting more people to protest today. But because the fact is,

00:52:40.140 there is multiple protests across Canada. And so that divide a little bit like the people in small spots.

00:52:49.020 Right. But right now, everything is very peaceful. Police are really peaceful also with the protesters.

00:52:57.900 We had one incident where we had a counter-protester who came and tried to disturb the people.

00:53:05.660 She was actually a pro-Carbon tax. She was saying that this is actually good for people and it's

00:53:11.980 profitable for Canadians. So, so far now we are coming back.

00:53:17.820 We just arrived at Parliament Hill. Right.

00:53:19.980 Right. And people are slowly arriving. Now, let me ask you this. Are police allowing you

00:53:27.980 onto Parliament Hill? I can see Center Block and the Peace Tower behind you. Are you allowed up there?

00:53:36.620 Yes. So, because I think it's Chris Darcy. He did the demand for being on Parliament Hill starting at 11 a.m.,

00:53:47.660 having the rights to use speakers and also flags. So right now, there is no interabdiction of anything.

00:53:55.980 And so it's why the police is not bothering nobody with either like speaker or you see like there is megaphone and loud noise.

00:54:06.620 I see some police, I think, behind your shoulder wearing those police liaison vests. Are those police officers? I can't quite tell from where I am.

00:54:18.700 They are police liaisons. Yeah.

00:54:20.860 So we have on the ground RCMP, Ottawa police. There is also the Parliament Hill officer and there is, there is, there are, um, liaisons police.

00:54:34.860 Well, that's our show for today. Until tomorrow, on behalf of all of us here at Rebel World Headquarters, to you at home, good night and keep fighting for freedom.
