00:01:57.000 Israel announced that it is evacuating 20 neighborhoods, 20 towns and villages near the

00:02:03.020 border. They obviously think terrible things are coming. In the meantime, on the southern end of the

00:02:08.700 country, Israel mobilizes for what appears to be an imminent ground invasion of Gaza. But

00:02:14.900 what could be the outcome of that? Surely not reoccupation. Israel, until 2005, did occupy

00:02:24.140 the Gaza Strip, but left it. And in those 18 years, Hamas has done a warren of tunnels and booby traps.

00:02:31.880 Even to reconquer it would be extremely challenging, but to govern it is surely not something that could be

00:02:37.460 long-term. What will be the outcome? A dangerous urban battle where jets and tanks don't really help.
