00:00:00.000 Hey, I think there's some human trafficking going on in Canada that rings a bell that's
00:00:04.940 reminiscent of some of the kidnapping and rape gangs in Britain. I'll tell you a story from
00:00:10.360 Peel region, which is outside Toronto. I'll read to you a press release from the police.
00:00:16.820 It's pretty chilling. The craziest part is even after all these horrific things they're accused
00:00:21.580 of, they let out on bail. You're not going to believe today's story. That's ahead. But first,

00:01:06.900 Tonight, is it a woman's world? It's August 27th, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.
00:01:26.840 Shame on you, you censorious thug.
00:01:36.900 Feminism has been around for a while. The suffragette movement to give women the right
00:01:47.140 to vote is about 120 years old in the West. During the Second World War, women worked in
00:01:53.040 the factories. Men were overseas. That accelerated the trend for women to leave the home to enter
00:01:58.640 what had been a man's world. When I was in university 30 or so years ago, women had reached
00:02:04.020 parity in law school enrollment and actually were a majority in med school. There were more
00:02:10.620 women students than male students, even if the women continued to drop out of those professions
00:02:15.860 at a higher rate than men did, usually to run and raise a family. But there was radical feminism
00:02:22.300 afoot when I was in campus politics, and it seemed like a vigorous force back then. In the last 20 years,
00:02:29.640 I think popular culture has completely adopted that. It's not just pro-women and pro-girl.
00:02:34.280 I think it's actually anti-male Hollywood movies, TV sitcoms, even commercials. Show me a TV commercial
00:02:43.560 where a traditional dad is treated seriously or with respect, as opposed to being the goofy fossil
00:02:50.600 who needs to be schooled by more with-it demographics. In schools, teachers are specifically and strategically
00:02:58.660 told not to call upon boys. Girls are promoted. There are endless programs to boost girls in school,
00:03:06.180 especially in science and math. Men have been drummed out of so many places. The entire industry
00:03:12.340 called human resources, just made up really, can honestly be described as a way to neutralize male
00:03:18.740 corporate power by replacing objective measurements like sales with feelings measurements. It's what almost
00:03:27.060 undid Twitter until Elon Musk fired the whole Make Work Fake Work HR wing and its political wing. I think
00:03:33.780 it was actually this video that did it. Welcome to a day in my life as a Twitter employee. So this past
00:03:40.900 week went to SF for the first time at a Twitter office, badged in, honestly took a moment to just soak
00:03:47.940 everything in. What a blessing. Also started my morning off with an iced matcha from the perch.
00:03:53.940 Then I had a meeting, so quickly scheduled one of these little pod rooms, which were so cool. They're
00:04:00.020 literally noise cancelling. Took my meeting, got ready for a bunch. Look how delicious this food looks.
00:04:06.340 Oh my goodness. I was so overwhelmed. Then made my way down to this log cabin area. I don't know what this
00:04:13.140 is, but it was really cool. I played some foods with all my friends to kind of unwind a bit.
00:04:20.340 Also found this really cool meditation room that I thought was super neat. I didn't do any yoga,
00:04:27.780 but they have this yoga room if you are a yogi. So also thought that was really cool.
00:04:33.620 Had a couple more meetings in the afternoon. Had a ton of projects that we needed to knock out.
00:04:37.860 Say hi to my teammates. Went to the library to kind of get some more work done. Obviously had to
00:04:45.780 have our afternoon coffee, so made some espresso. And then before leaving for the day, had some red
00:04:51.780 wine that's on tap. Went up to the rooftop and just honestly enjoyed the beautiful weather. So awesome trip.
00:05:01.460 But my point is women do rule the world, or at least the Western world, the luxurious postmodern West.
00:05:09.860 I'm not sure if women rule the world in Ukraine or Russia. It's very much a men's time to fight
00:05:16.180 and die. That's what men are expected to do. But there has been an anti-female insurgency in the West,
00:05:25.860 even as women have been at the highest heights. Men are now allowed to compete on women's sports
00:05:33.700 teams, undermining the whole notion of what is a woman. Boys are allowed to compete against girls,
00:05:39.540 including in contact sports. Even the Olympics let this male boxer smash female boxers in the face. And
00:05:47.940 that's not sport. That's something, but that's not sport. Not just in the sports arena or field, but also in the
00:05:53.860 change rooms. And if you complain about a man being in the women's change room, you are transphobic.
00:06:00.180 Men are allowed to serve their time in prison in women's prisons. If they just identify as a woman,
00:06:08.580 they often commit rapes again against fellow inmates. Prison guards will punish women if they don't
00:06:15.300 call men, ma'am. It's like this guy. Remember him?
00:06:18.660 Give me my fucking money back. Excuse me, sir. There's a young man in here.
00:06:22.980 Excuse me. It's ma'am. It is ma'am. I can call the police if you'd like me to. You need to settle down.
00:06:28.660 You need to settle down and mind your business. Okay. Ma'am. Once again, ma'am. I said both of you.
00:06:34.740 No, you said, sir. Once again, it's ma'am. I actually said both of you guys. Right beforehand,
00:06:40.260 you fucking said, sir. Motherfucker. Take it outside. If you want to call me sir again,
00:06:46.340 I will show you a fucking sir. Motherfucker. Imagine having someone like that in the cell
00:06:55.220 next to yours and being forced to comply and submit. That's the insane left. But on another
00:07:01.300 part of the insane left, there's a misogynistic immigration that is a war on women as well,
00:07:08.020 as in bringing in millions of men from places where they rape women as a matter of course.
00:07:15.700 Scratch that. They typically rape girls as a matter of course. Here's a woman describing life
00:07:21.940 in her home country of Afghanistan. What is life like currently for women and girls
00:07:28.260 under the Taliban in Afghanistan? It can only be described as destitute,
00:07:33.140 a deplorable state of being. Women are not only are they not equal right human beings under Taliban
00:07:41.220 rule, but they are subhuman in a way that they are treated. As you mentioned, women cannot speak
00:07:47.940 out loud. So what I'm doing right now is illegal in Afghanistan. There's all sorts of weird and
00:07:55.060 frankly, inhuman things that are going on, including women being told that they should
00:07:59.380 only be able to see through one eye, because why would you need two eyes if you're only staring at
00:08:03.140 the pavement? Women haven't been able to work. My family members in Afghanistan lost their jobs the
00:08:10.260 moment the Taliban came into power. And let's not forget that the general policy by the Western
00:08:16.500 world has been to freeze all assets and aid going into Afghanistan. So what is this country that we
00:08:22.740 are sending these women and men back to? Well, it's a country where they can't make money, where there
00:08:27.540 is no health or social care service. We're talking about a group of men, the Taliban, who have created
00:08:34.180 almost inhospitable conditions for Afghan women, not to mention gynecological care or schooling.
00:08:40.660 This is probably one of the worst places to be a woman on earth. That interview was in the United
00:08:45.460 Kingdom where they are currently fast tracking 200,000 Afghans right into UK neighborhoods. This
00:08:52.580 was actually the subject of that super injunction where the court said you weren't even allowed to talk
00:08:57.860 about it. 200,000 Afghans. According to the British police who track nationality, Afghans are 22 times
00:09:07.060 more likely to commit rape than British men. What are they doing? That's what's driving the pink ladies
00:09:16.020 protests in the UK these past weeks. Women dressed in pink peacefully protesting outside migrant hotels
00:09:22.580 where single military age migrant men are stashed. So many of them house accused rapists. These hotels
00:09:31.060 have 100, 200, 300 men. Typically they have several accused rapists within them. And that's not an
00:09:37.380 accusation. That's an observation. That is how many there are. I was in Epping where a man who had landed
00:09:42.900 just eight days earlier and went into the migrant hotel, he was accused of rape after eight days.
00:09:48.340 Of course he was. Where he comes from, a woman uncovered, not wearing a burqa, not protected by a male
00:09:57.780 guardian, is fair game. The police in the UK don't do much because they worry they'll be called racist
00:10:04.900 if they do. So they leave women and girls to fend for themselves. Here's a couple of tweens. One is 14,
00:10:12.420 I understand one is 12, fending off the advances of a migrant man in Scotland. Now when I was in
00:10:19.780 Norwich and Epping, women said they had complained to police about migrant men lurking around playgrounds
00:10:25.460 and taking photos of young girls. And the police were called and said there was nothing they could
00:10:30.180 do about it. So watch this 14 year old girl who clearly has been through this so many times
00:10:36.020 and the police were of no avail. Here's a 14 year old girl from Scotland brandishing a knife and an axe
00:10:43.780 to try in her own way as a 14 year old girl to scare off a migrant man who clearly had his eye on her
00:10:50.660 sister for a while. Now the Scottish accent here is very thick but she's saying things you can hear some
00:10:57.620 of it like get away from her, don't touch her, get away from us, don't touch my little sister, she's 12.
00:11:04.820 Now the migrant knows what he's doing too. He's asking her to brandish the weapons
00:11:08.820 because he's going to show the video to the police and get her arrested, which is exactly
00:11:14.740 what happened. Here, take a look at the video.
00:11:16.260 Yes, you have a knife.
00:11:18.260 Yes, you have a knife.
00:11:20.260 Hey, I'm fucking filthy. You're fucking bad and can't see me. Why are you fucking with us?
00:11:24.260 You're fucking kid bashers.
00:11:26.260 Show the knife, show the knife, show the knife. Get too fucked away from her.
00:11:30.260 Show the knife, show the knife. That's it, that's it, show the knife.
00:11:34.260 She has fucking dwelled. She has fucking dwelled when you just badgered me, man.
00:11:48.260 She has fucking dwelled when you just badgered me.
00:11:50.260 Yeah, yeah, show the knife.
00:11:54.260 I think that was in Aberdeen, there's been some flag bearing protests about what happened there.
00:12:04.260 The police don't care. They're too afraid to arrest any migrants.
00:12:08.260 There's a number of Brits who try to take these migrants on by stinging them, by setting up online fake profiles,
00:12:16.260 posing as 12 year olds or whatever. And these migrant sex pests meet up, arrange a meeting with girls or boys.
00:12:25.260 And they actually find it's a group of, I guess, vigilantes.
00:12:31.260 There's so many examples. There's a different example posted online almost every day.
00:12:36.260 There are so many of them.
00:12:38.260 It's when you take people from a low trust society and dump them into a high trust society.
00:12:43.260 It's the girls who will be the sacrifices.
00:12:45.260 Police grudgingly come and arrest the men sometimes.
00:12:49.260 And sometimes they do get jailed for a few months, but mainly they're let go with a warning by the system.
00:12:56.260 I wish I were kidding. There are hundreds of these clips.
00:12:59.260 Here's a few of them. What do you expect when you bring in millions of men from a rape culture?
00:13:03.260 Do you think a quick flight over from Pakistan or Afghanistan is enough to change an entire lifetime worth of beliefs?
00:13:10.260 Take a look.
00:13:11.260 So, basically, right, today you're going to be arrested by the police.
00:13:16.260 Trigger warning, guys. This is a really bad trigger warning, this one.
00:13:19.260 Erm, one for sexual grooming of a child.
00:13:22.260 Two cause a child to watch sexual acts times 186.
00:13:26.260 Yeah, but you... No, no more.
00:13:28.260 But you've been turned up to have sex with this child. Yes. Yes.
00:13:33.260 No, I never do it. Yes. You have said that in this here. You have said that. Haven't you?
00:13:39.260 No, I never do it. You never? Yeah.
00:13:41.260 You sent her three videos, pornographic videos, to a child. What gives you the right?
00:13:49.260 Did you talk about licking his ass? What? Did you, did you talk about licking his ass?
00:13:54.260 Before you slid your dick in his bum? No, no. Did you say that?
00:13:58.260 I, I, what the problem if I meet him? Right. So, so, so, so you think, you think, you think the only problem, you think the only problem is, you think the only problem is if you actually meet him?
00:14:07.260 Yeah. Right. So, so you don't see a problem talking online with a child sexually. You don't see a problem? It's against the law.
00:14:14.260 You're not allowed to talk sexually to children. He's a 14 year old boy.
00:14:19.260 Those are just three examples. I promise you, I could give you 300 if you had the time. Hey, let me put it another way.
00:14:24.260 Would you send your 14 year old daughter by herself to go for a walk in a park in rural Pakistan or Afghanistan or heck in urban Pakistan or Afghanistan without you there to guard her?
00:14:40.260 Of course you wouldn't. That would be insane. But then why would you do that same thing if you brought over a million people from Afghanistan and Pakistan and Syria to the UK?
00:14:54.260 It's not the geography in Pakistan or Afghanistan that's the danger. It's the people. It's the culture. Not all of them, of course.
00:15:01.260 But 22 times more often in Afghanistan, according to UK police, there was a terrible murder of a young Dutch girl a few days ago by a Syrian migrant.
00:15:13.260 By the way, why are there any Syrians still in the West? The war in Syria is over. They can go home.
00:15:18.260 In fact, two million Syrians have actually gone home. But why are they still here in Canada or the United Kingdom in Germany or the Netherlands? Well, you know why.
00:15:30.260 So a Syrian migrant is accused of murdering a Dutch girl days after he was accused of raping another.
00:15:39.260 Shocking story. And look at what the chief imam of Ireland, who's from Pakistan himself, has to say about it. It's just astonishing.
00:15:48.260 I'm going to read to you from a Facebook post that he deleted after the Irish were not too pleased with it.
00:15:54.260 This is from the top Muslim cleric in Dublin. It's just incredible.
00:16:00.260 The murder of 17 year old Lisa in the Netherlands is heartbreaking. Now, let me skip to his prescription.
00:16:06.260 Although men are the source of violence against women, we must also face a painful reality.
00:16:12.260 People coming from a different cultural context are at greater risk of committing acts such acts when there is no proper cultural awareness, training or integration.
00:16:21.260 Unfortunately, across Europe, including here in Ireland, we see that asylum seekers often receive no meaningful orientation, education or guidance on societal values, gender equality and respect for women.
00:16:34.260 Integration is not just about accommodation, but about safety and shared values.
00:16:40.260 Yeah, I think you're right, mate. I'll read a little more.
00:16:44.260 Furthermore, we must not ignore these gaps. God forbid that someone like this, something like this happens here.
00:16:50.260 Authorities must view integration and cultural awareness as an essential part of asylum policy that protects both vulnerable people in society and the asylum seekers themselves from isolation and marginalization.
00:17:04.260 So what is he saying? Because some of the things he's saying there, I just said, these people are coming from rape cultures.
00:17:11.260 They know rape. They know rape. They accept rape. Rape is what happens where they're from.
00:17:18.260 But I think he's saying that rape is part of them. It's who they are.
00:17:24.260 He's sort of saying the quiet part out loud.
00:17:26.260 But then he's saying that it's Ireland's fault and Ireland caused it and Ireland's not fixing it because they're not giving more guidance to these migrants on not raping or murdering women.
00:17:41.260 Seriously, he's talking about this in reaction to a Dutch girl being murdered by an accused rapist.
00:17:47.260 Like that's the kind of thing that a friendly pamphlet is going to drum out of someone who has been raised in that culture.
00:17:56.260 The thing about Pakistani rape gangs, which the Western mind cannot fathom, is that the rape gangs were often families.
00:18:05.260 Brothers, cousins, uncles, fathers and sons, they committed these rapes together as a group, one after another, with a deliberately white Gentile victim.
00:18:16.260 That's that's unthinkable in the West. Rape is so depraved, you would never say I'm going out with 20 buddies to commit this heinous crime together.
00:18:25.260 You wouldn't know 20 rapists. You wouldn't trust that they would keep your rapist secret.
00:18:31.260 That is what's been going on for decades in the UK. It's astonishing.
00:18:35.260 And the Pakistani Muslim Imam of Dublin is saying, you know, we need some integration. We need some training.
00:18:42.260 Can we train people not to rape and murder? That's what this Pakistani Imam is saying.
00:18:47.260 It's here, but don't be mad at the murderer. He just didn't know. And that's our fault.
00:18:54.260 So that's Ireland for you. Say, do you think we have this kind of thing in Canada? I don't know.
00:19:00.260 I don't know. Here's a news release just from today from the Peel region, which is surrounds Toronto.
00:19:07.260 Headline. Arrest made. Additional suspects sought in attempted kidnapping. I'll read it to you.
00:19:13.260 The 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau has made an arrest and is searching for two remaining suspects in connection with an attempted kidnapping in Mississauga.
00:19:23.260 On June 24th at about 10, 20 PM, two young women were walking near Britannia Road West and Queen Street South when three masked suspects approached and tried to lure them to a light colored Audi SUV.
00:19:37.260 The suspects chased and attempted to grab the victims with reports that one may have had a gun and another a knife.
00:19:44.260 A passerby intervened and the suspects fled westbound in the Audi. The victims were not physically injured.
00:19:50.260 On August 18th, following a thorough investigation, 26 year old Walid Khan of Etobicoke was arrested and charged with 33 offenses related to kidnapping, firearms, auto theft and more.
00:20:04.260 The search of his residents also led to the seizure of two loaded prohibited firearms, an AR style rifle capable of automatic fire and a pistol, both equipped with prohibited high capacity magazines, along with over 110 rounds of ammunition.
00:20:21.260 At the time of arrest, Khan was on probation for prior violent offenses and prohibited from possessing firearms.
00:20:27.260 He has since been released with an ankle monitor? You let him go?
00:20:34.260 The two remaining suspects are described as Middle Eastern. You don't say.
00:20:39.260 Males, late teens to mid-twenties, medium build, if seen, the public are advised to not approach and call 911 immediately.
00:20:46.260 The suspect vehicle, a light colored Audi SUV also remains outstanding.
00:20:50.260 Yeah.
00:20:51.260 Hey guys, we've got that here in Canada now too, don't we?
00:20:57.260 And no, I don't think pamphlets are gonna solve the problem.
00:21:01.260 Yeah.
00:21:02.260 Things have never been better for women in the West, but that's falling apart pretty quickly.
00:21:08.260 Don't you think?
00:21:09.260 Stay with us for more.
00:21:20.260 Hey, earlier today, Tamera Ugolini was down at the courthouse in Ottawa.
00:21:24.260 Interesting story.
00:21:25.260 The last trucker who's been charged by the government is named James Botter.
00:21:30.260 And he has decided to make an asylum claim in the United States.
00:21:35.260 He's gone to the U.S. asking for refugee status, saying that his political freedom is vaporized.
00:21:43.260 He's in danger in Canada.
00:21:46.260 And can he be accepted there?
00:21:49.260 I don't know.
00:21:50.260 I mean, that's sort of an incredible thing to say.
00:21:52.260 It's like those U.S. Hollywood celebrities who say, if Trump wins again, I'm leaving for
00:21:57.260 Canada.
00:21:58.260 They never do, thank goodness.
00:21:59.260 But Mr. Botter actually says and believes and thinks that his life is in danger in Canada
00:22:05.260 because of his political point of view, because the courts cannot be relied on to be fair.
00:22:10.260 So he wants to be a refugee in the States.
00:22:12.260 Now, I don't know how that's gonna go, but it's a very interesting story.
00:22:15.260 But to foil that, the Canadian government wants him to come back quickly to face charges,
00:22:20.260 I think, on mischief.
00:22:21.260 He's being charged with a few trucker offenses.
00:22:24.260 But the thing is, if he were to come back now, that would basically deflate his whole
00:22:29.260 asylum claim.
00:22:30.260 Here, enough from me.
00:22:31.260 Our Tamara Ugolini was on the scene and talked to the lawyer for Mr. Botter, our friend,
00:22:37.260 Lawrence Greenspawn.
00:22:38.260 Here, take a look.
00:22:39.260 For Rebel News, I'm Tamara Ugolini here at the Ottawa Courthouse.
00:22:45.260 And I'm joined by criminal defense lawyer, Lawrence Greenspawn, who just submitted on behalf
00:22:51.260 of James Botter.
00:22:52.260 He's in a desperate fight for freedom against tyrannical government overreach, whose defense
00:22:59.260 from political persecution in Canada is being handled at no charge to him by the Democracy
00:23:04.260 Fund.
00:23:05.260 And if you want to chip in to help cover his legal fees, you can do so at thelasttrekker.com.
00:23:10.260 Because Botter is really a remnant of the historic 2022 grassroots freedom convoy.
00:23:17.260 A movement that shook the world when ordinary working class men and women stood up against
00:23:23.260 government overreach being justified for years under the guise of fighting COVID-19.
00:23:29.260 The truckers honked for liberty, for the right to live free, for mandates and control, for
00:23:34.260 bodily autonomy and those who couldn't live under the suppressive regime anymore.
00:23:39.260 But in Canada, once known as the true north strong and free, it had more of a totalitarian
00:23:44.260 tiptoe under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's iron grip than many had ever experienced firsthand
00:23:50.260 before.
00:23:51.260 Convoy participants and supporters alike had their voices silenced, their bank accounts frozen
00:23:56.260 and their lives turned upside down even though the government's unprecedented invocation of
00:24:02.260 a revamped wartime legislation called the Emergencies Act was deemed unreasonable and charter violating
00:24:09.260 by the federal court.
00:24:10.260 Despite this, Botter faces harsh punishment and political persecution in Canada for his actions,
00:24:15.260 branded a criminal for his opposition to intrusive and indiscriminate government edicts.
00:24:20.260 He's been driven away from his home, his livelihood and ultimately his country.
00:24:25.260 Botter faces multiple criminal charges including mischief, intimidation, obstructing an officer
00:24:29.260 and two counts of counselling to commit indictable offences.
00:24:33.260 It's so bad that he has sought political asylum in the United States.
00:24:38.260 Canadians thought the charter would protect them but we don't have absolute protections against
00:24:42.260 government overreach like they do in the US with the First Amendment.
00:24:47.260 The Canadian Charter emphasises justification for freedom limitation while the First Amendment
00:24:52.260 focuses on preventing government infringement.
00:24:55.260 But thankfully, Botter has the support of Democracy Fund and a dedicated US immigration
00:24:59.260 lawyer navigating his case for the principles that made the Freedom Convoy a global symbol
00:25:04.260 of resistance.
00:25:06.260 Today, Mr Greenspan was acting as an agent on behalf of Botter in his defence.
00:25:10.260 It was very short and sweet what we heard in the proceedings today.
00:25:15.260 Can you give our viewers just a quick overview of what happened in the courtroom?
00:25:20.260 Well, the first thing is that James Botter wanted to be present today either by teleconference
00:25:26.260 or by Zoom out of respect for the court.
00:25:29.260 He can't be present in person because, and this was verified before the judge, he can't be present in person
00:25:39.260 because to do so would mean he would forfeit his application for asylum which is pending in the United States.
00:25:45.260 So he couldn't be here.
00:25:47.260 We basically said to the judge, look in light of that, why don't we adjourn the trial and see how things go on the application for asylum.
00:25:55.260 And the judge was not willing to do that and issued a warrant for James Botter's arrest.
00:26:03.260 Part of Justice, I believe it's Phillips, remarks included that Botter is asserting things like the courts are corrupt
00:26:11.260 and they're biased and he will not get a fair trial in Canada.
00:26:16.260 What do you make of that and the justice's response to those claims?
00:26:20.260 Well, that's certainly, I don't make any comment at all about the basis for his application for asylum in the United States.
00:26:28.260 That's something that's being handled by lawyers out of Buffalo.
00:26:33.260 You know, anytime you hear those kinds of allegations, it's most unfortunate.
00:26:37.260 And the fact of the matter is that, as the judge indicated, that the courts are not biased,
00:26:45.260 that the courts are quite capable of making reasonable decisions and fair decisions.
00:26:51.260 But that's really an argument that will have to be advanced by Mr. Botter and his application for asylum.
00:26:57.260 Which I gather can take anywhere from six months to a year and a half.
00:27:02.260 And so the proceedings are scheduled to begin, I believe it's the second week of November,
00:27:07.260 and slated for three weeks.
00:27:09.260 What does that potentially look like moving forward?
00:27:12.260 I mean, obviously you haven't consulted with clients yet,
00:27:14.260 but how does that look knowing that Botter will then have to forfeit his political asylum claim,
00:27:20.260 which doesn't sound like he's willing to do?
00:27:22.260 No, he's not willing to do that, and it's anticipated that he will not attend in November.
00:27:27.260 And what we were trying to do here was allot that timeframe, that three-week timeframe for trial,
00:27:34.260 put it off to some other time once the application for asylum has been adjudicated in the United States.
00:27:40.260 I don't think he'll be here for the trial in November.
00:27:44.260 It's just a matter of courtroom efficiency, and we know that the courts are backlogged,
00:27:49.260 and keeping three weeks on hold for a trial that's not likely to happen, you know, is not what we wanted.
00:27:58.260 Right. The justice mentioned one other thing, which is the third safe country agreement between Canada and the United States.
00:28:04.260 When he issued a warrant today and noted that agreement, would that compel something like the United States to extradite?
00:28:12.260 I mean, what are the actions there? What do you think that reference was about?
00:28:15.260 The only thing I can guess at this point, there is, of course, an extradition treaty between Canada and the United States.
00:28:24.260 But while an application for asylum is pending, and this is really a matter of U.S. law,
00:28:31.260 I can't imagine that they would act on an extradition request from Canada if there was one even forthcoming.
00:28:36.260 So that request would have to be put forward apart from just a general kind of warrant?
00:28:40.260 Exactly.
00:28:41.260 So if Botter does come back into the country, granted that a warrant was issued today, he would be immediately arrested?
00:28:46.260 That's correct.
00:28:47.260 And so moving forward, what can you say that looks like, you know,
00:28:52.260 in addition to your previous comments about the three weeks of trial that are unlikely to proceed?
00:28:57.260 Well, there's really not much else. If he's not here, he can't be facing a trial,
00:29:04.260 and he's not going to be here and give up his application for asylum in the States.
00:29:08.260 Do you have any idea what any lawyers in the United States might be saying?
00:29:13.260 I know, for instance, the U.S. State Department has kind of taken an interest in free speech and expression,
00:29:19.260 and especially censorship with some of their allies, like in the U.K. and the EU.
00:29:24.260 Could Canada be next?
00:29:26.260 Well, the American system, in terms of free speech, I mean, we drafted our Charter of Rights and Freedoms
00:29:36.260 and the fundamental freedoms in that charter, freedom of expression, freedom of peaceful assembly.
00:29:41.260 Those are things that come directly from the United States.
00:29:48.260 In the United States, however, they also have the protection of not just life, liberty of the person,
00:29:57.260 but the right to enjoyment of property, which is something we don't have here in Canada in our Charter.
00:30:04.260 So it's quite a different argument where you have a peaceful protest, albeit one that lasted for three weeks.
00:30:15.260 It's going to receive a certain treatment in the United States. It might well be different here in Canada.
00:30:21.260 What's your message to political dissidents in today's kind of legal landscape here in Canada
00:30:27.260 or anybody who would like to protest things like government overreach as the truckers were?
00:30:32.260 Well, my message has been, it has not been heeded, but my message is that if you have freedom of expression
00:30:42.260 and you express yourself in a peaceful way and you assemble in a peaceful way, then that should, excuse the pun,
00:30:50.260 trump any infringement on rights to enjoyment of property.
00:30:56.260 Well, thanks so much for your time, Lawrence. Appreciate your remarks.
00:30:59.260 For Rebel News here in Ottawa, I'm Tamara Ugolini.
00:31:04.260 If you would like to chip in to assist with James Botter's legal defence here in Canada,
00:31:09.260 you can do so at thelasttrucker.com.
00:31:12.260 At that website, you can find out more information about this case and, of course, help support his legal defence.
00:31:17.260 That's thelasttrucker.com.
00:31:20.260 Well, that's interesting.
00:31:26.260 Hey, I got some letters from you to me.
00:31:29.260 W.D. Houston says,
00:31:31.260 I've known many empty suits in four decades of corporate life.
00:31:33.260 Mark Carney is the epitome of an empty suit.
00:31:36.260 You know, I want to say that because he sounds that way.
00:31:39.260 He's so bland and monotone and he says things with very little meaning.
00:31:43.260 And any guy who says, let me be clear, get ready for him not to be clear.
00:31:48.260 I mean, he really is a duck speaker.
00:31:51.260 But I find it hard to believe that a duck speaker could rise right to the top of the Bank of Canada, the Bank of England, the World Economic Forum where he was a director, the United Nations where he was an ambassador.
00:32:03.260 Brookfield, I mean, I just, I think maybe he's very, very clever at saying very little and letting on very little.
00:32:12.260 I would hope that he's got some deeper competence, that he's just very cryptic.
00:32:17.260 And that's not good for a prime minister who needs to keep in touch with the people.
00:32:20.260 But I think it's better than the, like, if he is an empty suit, we're in deep trouble, friends.
00:32:26.260 Next letter from you guys, thank you, is from Wally Bartfey, who says,
00:32:32.260 Carney is opposed to castle law because Brookfield won't make any profits from it.
00:32:37.260 Yeah, you know what's so weird is he owns 600 different companies' stock, which is astonishing to begin with.
00:32:44.260 I mean, if you own a company's stock, I imagine you have a few thousand bucks in each or maybe tens of thousands of you.
00:32:50.200 You don't have, like, one share.
00:32:52.060 He's got 600 different companies.
00:32:54.800 I think he could be a billionaire.
00:32:57.320 But why won't he sell it?
00:32:58.600 Why is he holding on to that?
00:32:59.820 That's so weird.
00:33:00.740 P.D. says, Melanie Jolie is the top champion of babbling duck speech.
00:33:05.660 She looks like she was reading an invisible sheet, and it's generated by AI.
00:33:10.920 I think you're right.
00:33:12.040 I think she really is the worst.
00:33:13.620 There were so many liberal cabinet ministers who were just appointed for demographic reasons.
00:33:18.500 They were the right gender, color, and from the right region.
00:33:21.840 You know, there's something to say for taking your cabinet from the elected MPs.
00:33:26.580 But there's also something recommending the American approach, which is choose your cabinet from the entire country.
00:33:32.560 Like, you can choose the best people in the whole country for your cabinet.
00:33:36.740 It doesn't have to be the 150 people or so who were elected for you.
00:33:41.020 I don't know.
00:33:41.600 It's a real mess.
00:33:42.840 But the problems start to the top, doesn't it?
00:33:45.460 Well, that's our show for today.
00:33:47.320 Until tomorrow, on behalf of all of us here at Rebel World Headquarters, to you at home, good night.
00:33:52.080 And keep fighting for freedom.
00:33:56.580 Bye bye.
00:34:09.960 Bye.
00:34:22.700 Bye.
00:34:23.020 Bye.
00:34:23.300 Bye.
00:34:23.520 Bye.
00:34:24.540 Bye.
00:34:24.620 Bye.
00:34:24.660 Bye.
