Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LEVANT ｜ OPEC+ is cutting oil production, and the Biden Whitehouse is panicking

00:00:00.000 the world's worst countries are price fixing oil and joe biden is panicking and then kian

00:00:20.180 simoni our chief documentary filmmaker joins us to discuss his latest hit project it's october 5th

00:00:27.300 2022 i'm sheila gunn-reed but you are watching the ezra levant show

00:00:32.280 shame on you you sensorious bug

00:00:38.520 friends will you indulge me in subjecting you to two minutes of cnn i know it's a big ask but i 0.74

00:00:53.140 promise it'll be worth it because it shows you the biden white house getting absolutely mugged by

00:00:58.760 reality thanks to opec plus now opec plus is the oil cabal populated by some of the worst countries

00:01:06.580 on the face of the earth saudi arabia venezuela and russia not exactly the people you want to buy

00:01:13.240 your oil from when there's such a friendly place just to the north dying to finish a pipeline so

00:01:20.100 we can create some canadian jobs some american jobs and of course do the moral and righteous

00:01:25.380 thing of getting american money out of the pockets of their enemies and global human rights abusers

00:01:33.000 if you care about those sorts of things and i'm told the white house does opec plus manipulates

00:01:38.200 world oil prices through production cuts withholding oil and glut dumps the more you buy from them the

00:01:43.340 more you're at the whims of these dictators and of course the more you finance their evil impacts on

00:01:49.000 the world now right now americans are struggling so much with sky high oil prices that biden has been

00:01:57.180 emptying the strategic reserve of oil to drive costs down the strategic reserve is not there to drive

00:02:03.860 prices of oil down at the pump to save a few democrats in the looming midterm elections

00:02:08.580 it's an emergency reserve in case of war natural disaster or other catastrophes

00:02:14.620 it's not a campaign tool for a senile exploited old man like joe biden today in geneva though the

00:02:21.040 ghouls of opec plus announced a significant cut to output in an effort to raise oil prices the

00:02:26.800 proposed cut is about two million barrels per day which of course will cause u.s gasoline prices to jump

00:02:33.160 at the pumps with voters just five weeks away from those midterm elections when the democrats are going

00:02:39.340 to get slaughtered which according to even the most liberal sources over at cnn is causing a very panicky

00:02:45.760 reaction from the democrats just watch this in our money lead election day just five weeks away the

00:02:51.500 biden administration working overtime to keep gas prices from skyrocketing with a new plan to try to stop

00:02:56.520 saudi arabia and other middle eastern countries from cutting oil production cnn's alex marquardt and

00:03:02.020 maddie can join us alex you're reporting that white house officials are quote taking

00:03:05.100 the gloves off that's my least favorite metaphor from white houses but in any way according to one 0.99

00:03:10.360 u.s official to stop this from happening so tell us what what you're hearing what they're planning well

00:03:14.480 that same u.s official uh said that the white house in fact is panicking um that this is something that

00:03:20.960 they desperately do not want to happen cutting oil production means higher oil prices means higher

00:03:26.120 gas prices that of course is something that the biden administration does not want to happen right

00:03:29.980 now so tomorrow there's this meeting of the oil producing countries this cartel known as

00:03:34.700 opec is ostensibly led by saudi arabia russia is also a member the united states is not a member

00:03:40.160 and what we have learned myself and our colleagues natasha bertrand and phil mattingly

00:03:43.980 is that there is this furious last ditch wide scale effort to lobby the opec plus oil producing

00:03:50.960 countries to not cut oil production that uh senior members of the biden administration are reaching

00:03:56.140 out to members of the cartel including saudi arabia kuwait uh and the united arab emirates the cartel

00:04:02.180 could cut as much as one million barrels a day in production that would be the biggest cut uh since

00:04:09.420 the pen this is the beginning of the pandemic now this effort is being led by the top biden

00:04:14.200 administration official for energy almost hoxstein uh they've also enlisted the the top white house

00:04:19.060 official for the middle east brett mcgurk but interestingly they've also just to show you how

00:04:22.300 widespread this is reached out to the treasury secretary janet yellen um asking her to reach

00:04:26.980 out to to to contemporary to counterparts around the world and we actually got talking points that

00:04:32.080 the white house sent to treasury that have very blunt language suggesting uh that yellen say some

00:04:37.420 of this to her to to her counterparts um they say that this would be a total disaster would be seen

00:04:42.640 as a hostile act against the united states uh this is very blunt language the white house says that

00:04:47.620 these were draft talking points and not used but it does give insight into how nervous they are jake

00:04:52.180 a hostile act interesting phrase if opec simply cuts production but still sells the oil to you and

00:04:58.440 doesn't cut off your access to the oil that's a hostile act what should we then call the biden

00:05:04.400 administration's first order of business cutting off access to canadian oil by terminating the permits

00:05:11.160 for the keystone xl pipeline a pipeline that was almost fully completed and if completed will bring

00:05:18.380 alberta oil from hardesty alberta across the border to refineries and consumers in the united states

00:05:25.320 should canada consider that a hostile act should alberta we're trying to sell you oil biden keystone

00:05:31.940 would have made up almost half of that opec cut supplying 830 000 barrels of reliable oil every day

00:05:40.100 it's good for us it's good for you and it's good for the safety and security of the world

00:05:45.760 it's good for the world's most vulnerable people and bad for america's enemies but the thing is

00:05:53.260 according to cnn once again biden doesn't see the world's evil price fixing cabal as enemies

00:05:59.740 i think the white house describes them as partners in this statement look at this

00:06:04.120 in a statement to cnn national security council spokesperson adrian watson said we've been clear that energy

00:06:11.880 supply should meet demand to support economic growth and lower prices for consumers around the world

00:06:19.300 and we will continue to talk with our partners about that but what partners not us biden you blocked

00:06:27.180 our pipeline killed those jobs on both sides of the border and now you're begging the world's dictators

00:06:33.340 to be nice to you and if they decide to manipulate the price you're calling that a hostile act

00:06:39.880 what would we call attacking canadian jobs stigmatizing our oil as worse than blood-soaked dictator oil

00:06:47.240 hostile probably according to the white house's definition yeah and where's trudeau calling washington

00:06:54.520 no that would be too helpful for alberta he's probably windsurfing off a hangover somewhere today

00:07:00.560 the world needs more alberta right now the problem is alberta needs less ottawa and less washington

00:07:08.540 holding us back stay with us kian simoni joins me to discuss his new documentary ungovernable alberta's

00:07:15.980 quest for independence right after the break

00:07:18.300 well friends my monologue today was about how the world needs more alberta the world will be

00:07:35.500 more free if the world gets more of wild rose country but on the flip side alberta might be a

00:07:43.020 little bit more free if we have a lot less of ottawa and joining me now to discuss his new documentary

00:07:49.020 about just that is my friend head of documentaries here at rebel news kian simoni kian tell us about your

00:07:58.380 new documentary because as an albertan i think you told the story very well um but you didn't just tell

00:08:06.060 the story for us you told it for people who are looking in at us like i think you were for so long

00:08:11.980 but first let's talk about the documentary itself what is it yeah so it is uh it's called ungovernable

00:08:18.860 alberta's quest for independence and i guess just from that name it sounds controversial but it's really not

00:08:24.300 it explores all the anger that albertans have been feeling for the last 117 years um from the

00:08:31.580 intentional malicious attacks from ottawa and it dives in from all the way to how our vote doesn't

00:08:38.460 matter um by the time ontario already votes it's already counted that albertus doesn't matter it dives

00:08:44.460 in from the uh pierre uh pierre trudeau's attacks on the oil and gas industry um all the way up until

00:08:51.820 justin trudeau and it has this very like father like son um kind of sentiment to it um i i think

00:08:59.420 that those two of those are the biggest that sum it up as well as the uh of how about how our culture

00:09:04.780 here i say our as in albertan now um we can get into that after but um how our culture is is basically

00:09:12.220 being attacked and and it's funny because when i say albertan culture a lot of people think redneck

00:09:16.860 and i would have said that too if it was four years ago but it really is

00:09:20.300 our culture is respect god family and um believe it or not country um we're very patriotic here

00:09:28.220 about um the place that we live and i think that um the alberta documentary really um highlights that

00:09:35.340 now that patriotism is kind of just coming into just within alberta and not so much about country

00:09:40.460 anymore because um the country um quoting some of the people in the documentary has already left us

00:09:46.220 so why would we be patriotic to a country that is gone now i want to get into your very interesting

00:09:54.540 viewpoint because you know i'm a lifelong albertan i live on the family farm we've been here since

00:10:01.100 before alberta was a province so i think i have a very good nose for what makes up alberta culture and

00:10:07.100 i think you're right it's um god it's country it's family it's hard work and it's independence

00:10:15.580 and it's being left alone um but you're new here but i think you came here for the same reasons my

00:10:21.980 ancestors came here freedom opportunity being left alone being able to live your life exactly how you

00:10:26.940 want to did did you learn anything new about us you say that maybe four years ago you would have

00:10:34.860 perceived us as rednecks but since you you came here what what's your take on who and what we are

00:10:41.100 well i think the the answer to that question um it's actually starts like five years ago um back

00:10:47.260 in 2017 if you had asked me who i would vote for i would have told you justin trudeau and that's

00:10:51.500 because it would have been legalizing college and giving us free weed or sorry the other way around

00:10:57.260 how much weed i smoked in college um but it was it was he appealed so much to the youth and and

00:11:03.980 it wasn't so much about the the things that we worry so much about today and why politics is so

00:11:08.620 important and that kind of just um dragged along until covet happened where i was kind of like okay

00:11:14.060 i don't think i like the government too much right now and i was looking for something else and i saw

00:11:19.740 this this wave of this bastion of freedom which was alberta and i said well i'm not going to get

00:11:25.340 discriminated against there even if the government does discriminate and discriminate against me more

00:11:30.460 people there won't be doing that and that was why i came here and that was exactly what i learned um

00:11:36.460 even knowing it in my head just from seeing it on social media and seeing the comments from albert

00:11:41.180 and saying yeah come here we're open we're free um you actually do see that when you're here and it

00:11:46.060 wasn't about are you vaccinated or not it was it was literally about i don't care who you are i'm happy

00:11:52.380 that you're here and as long as you're not you know stepping on my lawn or taking money out of my pocket

00:12:00.220 i don't care and that's exactly where everybody would want to be if they weren't so caught up in

00:12:05.420 the in the hysteria and i think that's what's so beautiful about alberta yeah i think and that's

00:12:11.180 showing in the inbound migration into alberta and you know jason kenney to his credit and uh

00:12:17.500 pains me to say that he is wisely advertising and poaching all the young um maybe entrepreneurial 0.56

00:12:26.540 minded people who want to get ahead with his uh alberta is calling ads that he's placed in the

00:12:32.300 ttc in toronto i think it's great it's so smart because it is true it is cheaper to live here we

00:12:41.020 even if the government won't leave you alone your neighbors sure will um and you know i think it's

00:12:46.780 sort of that same tapping into that same sentiment that pierre pauliev is we're talking to young

00:12:52.220 people about look if you ever want to own a house you can't do that with justin trudeau

00:12:57.420 jason kenney's saying the same thing you ever want to own a house you cannot do that in john

00:13:01.100 torres toronto yeah and that's um another reason why i chose calgary of all places to move to um i

00:13:08.380 knew i needed to be downtown to i'm young and i wasn't ready for the farm life just yet i want to

00:13:14.620 we'll get more um and i was looking at rent in toronto and you get um someone's crappy basement

00:13:21.980 with plenty leaks in it and you're paying 2500 a month for one bedroom 500 square feet and that's

00:13:27.740 not an exaggeration and i come here and i have a two-bedroom apartment that's huge and i i pay like

00:13:33.420 1300 so i get money in my pocket to actually go see the mountains or buy the things that i want to buy or

00:13:40.780 put money save money to be able to buy that house that is still to this day affordable here and uh

00:13:47.100 yeah that alberto calling thing it it got me before before the the whole campaign it would have got me

00:13:52.940 now i think that's great now i want to talk more about the documentary i think people who don't watch

00:14:01.900 the documentary will immediately say this is just a separatist pipe dream documentary

00:14:10.780 but i don't think it is i think you go through the historical inequities lay it out actually talk

00:14:19.180 to albertans which is something that the laurentian elites never do they never find out why we are so

00:14:25.900 disgruntled with confederation and then you talk to a bunch of different people with a bunch of

00:14:30.860 different takes and a bunch of different solutions it's not just one solution we've got to leave or we've

00:14:37.260 got to join the united states there's a bunch of different people that you talked to who have

00:14:41.100 looked at this from different viewpoints and said okay so these are the problems this is the way that

00:14:47.020 i see that we can fix it yeah and i think that um that that was the most complicated part about it

00:14:54.380 um you know i i interviewed uh derek filibrand first um he was the he was the one that said yeah

00:15:00.780 let's do it tomorrow i was like oh i don't even think i'm ready so i went and we just had a conversation and

00:15:05.820 uh i pitched a half an hour interview with everybody and that one turned out to be an

00:15:11.100 hour and 45 minutes and i ended the interview like i have no idea what i just got into this is 117 years

00:15:18.860 of anger and there's so many stories and so many premiers and prime ministers that did alberta wrong

00:15:25.100 or it just it just goes forever so it was really tough to to kind of bring it all into um it's an hour

00:15:32.540 and 52 minutes long which is it is long um but yeah and then i was able to find some um

00:15:39.820 actual separatists who are who can articulate the idea and i think that that's so important now

00:15:44.780 and derek puts this in the same way and and you put it and ezra would put it the same way too is

00:15:49.500 before separatists was just it was all about anger but there was no actual ideas it was like okay we're

00:15:54.620 gonna leave but i don't know how and now people are actually talking about those ideas about how it could

00:16:01.660 go through and what they would need um to not separate and i think that that's so important

00:16:06.860 because so every single person interviewed in the documentary separatist or not can agree on the same

00:16:12.540 things of what albert is neat albert albertans need and that is really the idea of the documentary

00:16:19.420 is that albertans really need some things that make canada a safe place to live and it's scary to

00:16:26.300 say that canada is not a safe place to live for albertans yeah you know it's um when you talk to

00:16:34.780 people who are separatists these days there are of course enthusiastic separatists but there are so

00:16:41.020 many reluctant ones who are like i we tried this the west wanted in we got stephen harper we had 10 years of

00:16:51.900 fairly stable good governance but the liberals always get back in and then they always do the

00:16:57.740 same thing they reverse everything and they do all the things that liberals always do to the west they

00:17:02.460 attack agriculture they attack our property rights they attack our gun rights which are the same as 0.96

00:17:07.100 property rights they attack our oil and gas industry and it's always always by votes in eastern canada

00:17:14.860 and there are a lot of people who are saying i love canada i really do i love my fellow canadians i don't

00:17:20.140 want to go but i'm being shoved out the door with no other options by the federal government

00:17:26.540 quebec wants to stay in the country but take the canadian flag down and alberta wants to leave

00:17:31.420 the country but leave the flag up yeah what a great way to put it everything and you know your documentary

00:17:39.500 sort of addresses this strange unfairness that happens to albertans when we talk about separatism

00:17:50.300 or rethinking when we talk about anything when we talk about like how you say putting our shoulders up

00:17:56.060 or our elbows up against the federal government it's the federal government looks at us like we're 0.99

00:18:01.500 kooks or or idiots or extremists or um far right whatever um that's simply not the case because that's 0.99

00:18:09.340 exactly what quebec has done for the last since whatever the 1960s or since canada was a country quebec says 1.00

00:18:15.820 okay well i'm walking away and then canada's like no please come back we'll give you whatever the hell 0.84

00:18:20.540 you want and yeah it could be the same thing for alberta if uh if we weren't viewed as as as how i was

00:18:29.180 putting it at the start of that yeah it's um there is a certain even even even in when we talk about

00:18:38.540 separatism we are treated unfairly um as opposed to the complete total normalization of separatism in

00:18:46.060 quebec it's fine to be a politician who's a separatist it's fine to be a musician who's a

00:18:50.860 separatist it's fine to be a journalist who's a separatist it's part of their culture and you can

00:18:56.140 be a separatist it's cool it's cool like you can be a separatist or not a separatist and it doesn't

00:19:02.940 make you a radical white supremacist but if you say you know what i think we're getting maybe

00:19:09.820 screwed a little bit on equalization all of a sudden you're a fringe radical in alberta you're attacked 0.93

00:19:14.780 by the media you are fact-checked by people who couldn't find a fact with both hands on a flashlight

00:19:21.980 you are talked down to by um sometimes your own alberta politicians and the federal government

00:19:29.180 and so even it's funny because even when we talk about separatism you can see the inequities of how

00:19:35.980 alberta is treated within confederation and that's that's exactly it um i'm gonna use a conspiracy term

00:19:42.940 but i always thought when i first got here that quebec separatism was like a psyhop like it was like it

00:19:47.980 was it was so in the media i learned about it in school you learn about it everywhere and when you

00:19:53.020 say someone's going to separate from somewhere immediately you think of quebec and i had no

00:19:57.740 idea that especially in the 1980s here that the sentiment was extremely like it was a lot it was it

00:20:03.580 was high and and even like along the the way that um albertans are thinking about this but nobody talks

00:20:11.580 about it because it's all about quebec and why i say it's like a psyop it's probably the wrong word to

00:20:16.860 use but it just it comes in my head that alberta has all the money alberta has all the oil alberta 0.97

00:20:22.940 has every raw rare earth material you need and it kind of goes into saskatchewan and manitoba but

00:20:29.820 with that region we have everything that canada needs everything that the world needs especially

00:20:34.620 today and why aren't like obviously the federal government that's another story of why they aren't

00:20:39.500 letting us export it or produce it or whatever like we have all that and nobody's taking it nobody's

00:20:46.620 using it and quebec is the one that everybody wants to talk about when they're angry that

00:20:52.380 whatever they're angry about i don't even know that people out here don't speak french so they're mad

00:20:57.420 um like it's it's just such a weird phenomena that nobody looks at alberta in that way and i think

00:21:04.220 that's on purpose because if we weren't painted with such a picture of if we were to separate or to

00:21:10.860 talk about some sort of some form of independence that we're a far-right extremist and i think that's

00:21:16.540 because we have all the money yeah i think so too um and it is true that um you know quebec sort of

00:21:29.100 uses talk of separatism as some sort of black mirror male towards the federal government we don't want

00:21:34.220 anything we just we literally don't want anything we just want to be we want less we want to be left

00:21:40.860 alone it's it's a it's a remarkable dichotomy there um and as an albertan more and more i respect what

00:21:49.180 those quebecers are up to with the federal government even though i probably fundamentally disagree with 1.00

00:21:53.740 them on every single point this idea of as you say putting your elbows up against the federal government

00:21:58.700 at every opportunity it's very wise now i wanted to ask you um i know we're going a little longer

00:22:05.820 than normally we would but uh i'm hosting today so i'll do what i want um we're running up to the

00:22:13.580 announcement of the next leader of the united conservative party here in alberta and that

00:22:21.500 person will be by default the premier of the province until the next election um where they will get a new

00:22:26.780 mandate if they win and one of well the front runner the presumed winner daniel smith has been

00:22:36.700 addressing some of these issues that make albertans feel alienated within confederation and i i'm not

00:22:45.180 sure if she's a federalist or not i don't really think it matters but she is saying look when the feds 0.96

00:22:55.580 do something we don't like we're just not going along and she wants to codify that in the sovereignty

00:23:00.860 act tell me what you think about that and do you agree that the outcome is going to go the way i think

00:23:07.340 it will on thursday night well i think 100 she's going to win and i don't think she's a federalist i

00:23:13.020 think she's a regionalist and that is further than a separatist and federalist could be and and that's

00:23:21.020 because she does it it's none of that's what she says is about separation and that and that's funny

00:23:26.220 because all the mainstream media is like pushing that it's like all the sovereignty act is about

00:23:30.460 separating from canada it's it's far far away from it and in fact they will i think it will kill the

00:23:35.980 separatist movement if she wins and then she wins the next election and the sovereignty act is used properly

00:23:41.660 um like how barry cooper and uh derek from and and uh ken anderson i think his name was um who who

00:23:50.540 formulated the the idea if it's used properly it could be the thing that alberta needs and that would

00:23:58.140 be just to give less ottawa from alberta um yeah i think that that it's going to go exactly how you how

00:24:07.340 you said um maybe that's just uh from all the stuff that i heard in the documentary coming out of me

00:24:15.020 um but but looking at the she so she's really smart because even if she doesn't believe it

00:24:22.780 she's saying what she knows a lot of albertans want to hear even if she doesn't go through with

00:24:27.340 anything it's still the fact that that's how many people actually want that and that's good for um

00:24:33.340 for a regionalist for a federalist or separatist living in alberta knowing that there's that many

00:24:38.460 people who want to hear those who want those things that uh danielle smith is saying yeah and

00:24:45.020 you know this is not um a fringe idea particularly on the prairies saskatchewan currently has

00:24:53.500 um a legislative secretary to the premier who is specifically so it's like a deputy minister

00:25:00.140 or parliamentary secretary responsible for provincial autonomy his job is to go around

00:25:07.340 and find ways that saskatchewan can prickle against ottawa and that person has been in his role well

00:25:13.660 almost two years now lyle stewart and that's his only job is to find out how we can distance ourselves

00:25:19.340 from ottawa how can we exert autonomy over this matter of provincial jurisdiction that is none of

00:25:25.500 justin trudeau's business this is a real thing on the prairies it might be frightening to people

00:25:30.700 in the rest of the country who just say well the big bullies in ottawa said this is something that

00:25:34.220 we have to do but this is mainstream all across the prairies and i think into the interior of bc quite

00:25:40.700 likely um and it's something that you know they're already doing in saskatchewan why wouldn't we do it

00:25:48.220 here in alberta well and that and when you're talking about i knew that but when you're talking about

00:25:53.500 it there it sounded weird that to think that i feel like a lot of albertans would wouldn't want

00:25:59.260 that like in the cities and i feel like a lot of the mainstream media would like say like this is

00:26:03.420 such a radical idea um not you know taking in the fact that the province over literally has a part in

00:26:09.340 the government that does exactly that but if someone were to do that in alberta it just shows

00:26:14.220 to prove how the mainstream media and the federal government treat us is that i don't think that

00:26:17.980 um that would go very smoothly here and that just goes back to what i was talking about before it's

00:26:23.740 because alberta is alberta yeah yeah and i even have a fantasy fantasy football appointee for that

00:26:31.020 i think it should be drew barnes but if we ever did that here in alberta that's a job for drew barnes

00:26:36.540 right there um now um how do people find out about the showings of the movie because we have three very

00:26:44.860 different experiences depending on you know how you want to watch the movie so tell us a little bit

00:26:49.820 about those yeah so we have a theater experience watching the movies on october 12th at canyon meadows

00:26:55.500 cinemas um the best movie theater in southern alberta um so we you can get tickets at albertadocumentary.com

00:27:03.980 and then on october 19th we have uh dinner and a movie at buffet royale um it is exactly what it sounds

00:27:11.020 like and they are also the best restaurant um that is a buffet for their love of freedom of

00:27:18.540 expression and freedom of speech love that um also albertadocumentary.com and then we have our

00:27:24.140 favorite church in the vine um at least it's my favorite maybe i shouldn't say that but uh on that

00:27:30.540 that's on october 30th i believe and that's a that's a more uh close um kind of experience

00:27:38.300 you're you're gonna be right beside a bunch of other people and there's a lot of seats

00:27:41.900 and it's uh it's a beautiful place to be i love it inside there and also albertadocumentary.com

00:27:48.220 yeah the the church in the vine experience i really like because we've done our best to

00:27:53.580 make it very affordable because i think our tickets are 12 bucks for that um it's family friendly we've

00:28:00.300 if there's a swear we bleeped it out and you also get popcorn and uh a drink with that one so it's

00:28:07.820 great for the family it's a cheap night out and um also you are going to meet the wonderful people

00:28:14.460 from church in the vine they always overload us with volunteers because they're so generous um

00:28:19.180 kian thanks so much for making this movie i have to tell you as a lifelong albertan not only was i

00:28:24.380 interested in your new born again albertan take on it um but i really think you nailed the problem

00:28:30.940 and you made it easy for people to digest why we are so mad i was talking to our colleague william

00:28:37.260 and he said you know he knew some of the things why we were mad but he didn't know it all and he

00:28:43.740 really understood a lot more after he walked away so not only is this for albertans but people who are

00:28:49.980 curious about you know what exactly our problem is with everybody here why we're so darn mad and that's

00:28:56.540 why it's an hour and 52 minutes long because it goes through everything thank you for having me

00:29:01.340 on sheila it does thanks kian again you can see kian's uh documentary or get details about when you

00:29:07.420 can see kian's documentary at albertadocumentary.com stay with us your letters to ezra unsatisfactorily read

00:29:16.780 by me right after the break

00:29:31.020 well friends we've come to the portion of the show where we welcome your viewer feedback unlike the

00:29:35.100 mainstream media who you know they just want your money from justin trudeau but then they want you to

00:29:41.420 shut up we actually do want to hear from you and we care what you think about the work that we're

00:29:44.860 doing if you want to get in touch with the boss there are three different ways where you can get 0.52

00:29:48.780 in touch with him there but do not hesitate to leave a comment wherever you find us on our website

00:29:55.660 maybe you're watching us on rumble or perhaps even the censorship platform of youtube and actually

00:30:01.020 youtube is where i take today's comments from and today's comments are on ezra's show the other day

00:30:08.940 where he interviewed conservative commentator manny montenegrino on justin trudeau's childish petty

00:30:16.700 vindictive lack of congratulations to the new conservative italian prime minister georgia maloney

00:30:25.100 and justin trudeau literally will not shut up about what a feminist he is so you think you would be

00:30:30.780 excited that a woman was elected to lead this major western democracy but unfortunately she's got the 1.00

00:30:37.500 wrong politics so as you know she doesn't exist and she just doesn't count for progressives and just 1.00

00:30:43.820 to put this all into context pierre poliev newly elected conservative leader he congratulated quebec's

00:30:53.740 premier francois lagot after lagot was re-elected the other night

00:31:00.780 but i don't think that pierre poliev and lagot fall down on the same side of very many issues

00:31:08.380 but it is the grown-up statesman like thing to do world leaders congratulate world leaders all the

00:31:15.660 time about winning an election it's not an endorsement it's just in like it's like a hey good job you won

00:31:25.500 in fact i think it's an indicator of what a grown-up you really are if you can set aside your

00:31:33.980 political and ideological differences to recognize that somebody else has done something and done

00:31:41.980 something well pierre poliev was able to do that however justin trudeau was not so let's go to the

00:31:48.300 youtube comments justin gamble writes she georgia is the most impressive politician i've ever encountered

00:31:54.860 in a very long time only in the last few years would someone with her views be considered far

00:32:00.300 right now her views are god family country apparently that's controversial these days that 0.94

00:32:07.820 might even mean you're fascist if you got all your news from the mainstream media thankfully you people

00:32:12.620 don't anyways let's keep going there's an old argument whether times produce the person or does the

00:32:18.620 person produce the times it is of course both however i subscribe to leaning in the scale meaning i lean

00:32:26.380 toward the person produces the times side the zeitgeist of the people can go unheard for decades

00:32:33.660 longer until a particular person comes along one of those persons and we need more of them in my opinion

00:32:41.580 is amongst us her name is georgia i would crawl on my hands and knees to vote for her i love her now

00:32:49.980 it's fascinating because i feel like her election might be uh the boomerang effect or at least backlash 0.99

00:32:58.540 to how awful italy was for the last two years with their rolling catastrophe of hard lockdowns and

00:33:09.260 blaming the sick for being sick and i think her election is the natural human reflex to be free 0.82

00:33:19.260 and to take care of your family because the state cannot and will not take care of you especially

00:33:28.940 when the state says they're gonna that's when you should run the other direction our next comment comes

00:33:34.220 from laura goodine or goodine i know i'm saying that wrong either one of those ways

00:33:39.100 who says thank you i'm a canadian mother and though i have had a professional life i will

00:33:43.580 always place a higher value on being a mother no greater honor could ever be given to me as far

00:33:48.700 as i'm concerned that's what i find so refreshing about georgia maloney that she is the pinnacle of her

00:33:57.820 professional career i mean she is the leader of a major western democracy

00:34:04.540 and yet she still sees her greatest job every single day is that of a godly wife and mother and

00:34:12.300 for me i think the most important thing that i do every day is to raise good responsible productive

00:34:20.060 kind children i think it's the greatest thing we can do for the future of humanity next comment

00:34:27.660 comes from jm 890 baker who hints at our journalistic mission here over at rebel news

00:34:37.340 he says i'm glad you covered the neo-fascist lies by the mainstream media always find the truth via rebel

00:34:43.740 news yeah the mainstream media have openly mused if this woman is some sort of crypto fascist 1.00

00:34:51.180 crypto nazi because she campaigned on god country family which should not be a controversial thing

00:34:58.700 whatsoever in fact it's the cornerstone or the three cornerstones of western civilization all the

00:35:07.740 good things you know around here they exist because of god family country those common allegiances it's

00:35:15.340 it's quite bizarre but the good news is as long as the mainstream media continues to be awful and i think

00:35:21.420 they will i've got job security forever well everybody that's the show for tonight thank you so much

00:35:26.940 for tuning in i'm think my friend david menzies is hosting the show tomorrow night so uh catch him

00:35:33.740 tomorrow thanks to everybody in the studio in toronto for putting the show together thank you so

00:35:38.460 much for tuning in and as ezra levant always says keep fighting for freedom jerry humphrey here with rebel

00:35:45.420 news standing at the vancouver art gallery after the end of a protest in solidarity with what's happening

00:35:54.220 in iran after the brutal death to a 22 year old named masa amini she was visiting iran and then was

00:36:03.260 caught by the so-called morality police for apparently not wearing her hijab properly now i would guess that

00:36:11.740 thousands have attended today like i said it's just winding down because the streets were lined with protesters

00:36:19.180 standing in solidarity to free iran from its islamic regime today i went and spoke to some of the

00:36:27.820 protesters i wanted to know why it was important for them to be here today i wanted to know if they

00:36:33.180 are protesting against the muslim faith or something else and i also wanted to know what their friends or

00:36:40.700 family members who do wear hijabs think about these protests as well now you're going to join me but just in

00:36:47.660 case you're new to rebel news you've never heard of us you should know that we are the largest

00:36:51.900 independent media in canada that means we do not have any strings attached to the federal government

00:36:58.860 or any government instead we are only accountable to you the public if that seems like something you

00:37:04.940 want to follow more news from then you should check out our rebelnewsplus.com site there you get

00:37:12.620 exclusive content you're the first to stay in the know and you even get our exclusive documentaries

00:37:18.460 while supporting the independent journalism that we bring you again that's rebelnewsplus.com okay so

00:37:25.660 tell us why you decided to wear a mask today i've got family members back home that if they identify you

00:37:33.500 then first of all i can go back home if this regime will hopefully will be overthrown if not i can never go

00:37:41.660 home and also my family back home will be in danger yeah it reminds me a lot of the um protests against

00:37:49.340 communist china i've covered i find it very ironic that just behind here and i'm letting you guys know

00:37:54.620 uh there was celebrations in support of communist china's regime while this is happening very ironic

00:38:01.260 um but back to what's happening here why was it important for you guys to show up here today

00:38:06.060 it's been happening for 40 years what this regime does arrests you if you're showing a little bit of

00:38:14.620 hair if guys for example are wearing short sleeve anything so simple as having nail polish tight jeans

00:38:21.900 if your covering is not long enough they arrest you you get beaten up sometimes these girls or boys

00:38:28.540 they don't come back home they give the dead body to their parents if they do and sometimes they're

00:38:35.500 found there on the side of the street well today i'm here with many many of iranian people and we

00:38:43.820 could see not iranian canadian people are a different country and today is about freedom for women

00:38:50.220 for women for women around the world but especially for iran who've been killed tortured because they

00:38:58.540 want to be who they are they want to express their choice and they can't that's why i'm here

00:39:05.020 all right why was it important for you to show up here today because we're at a place that a

00:39:10.700 revolution is happening it's been 44 years of dictatorship and murder and unfortunately the government

00:39:18.540 is shutting down the voice of people in the country and this is just our way of making their voice

00:39:23.900 alive so it's really important to be here it's really important to show face and make sure that

00:39:28.940 people know that we're hearing them and their voice is not lost because they're killing our people in 0.92

00:39:33.100 the name of islam these people are worse than any empire that existed they're worse than anything 1.00

00:39:38.380 they're killing our young teenagers our sons and daughters they're killing loosely just for showing 1.00

00:39:43.980 their hair it's important that people know this that if you stay silent you're just as bad as they

00:39:49.500 are well to just uh tell the whole world that uh this is this is the end of like um dictatorship

00:39:57.580 and censorship and just like oppressing people uh we're just like trying to be voice of the people

00:40:04.860 in iran that they're protesting for their freedom as an iranian it's important to support your nation

00:40:11.020 is important to support the cause and especially what's going on this is the least we can do here

00:40:15.900 and we're all going to make sure we're doing in the perfect way we have to put an end to this brutal

00:40:20.380 regime and we will we want to send our voice to the world to hear us what's happening in our country

00:40:26.860 that our women and brothers sisters are getting hit are getting killed on the streets for just uh saying

00:40:33.260 what they want we're just having saying their freedom freedom of voice freedom of choice so they

00:40:38.380 are getting killed we wanted the world to know what's happening it's important for me to be here

00:40:42.940 to stand with the women of iran uh not just massa amini who had a very tragic ending to her life but

00:40:51.740 also for all the other women who have died before her also tragically unfairly uh way ahead of their

00:40:58.620 natural lifespan and it's just a a question of equality and justice for women first and foremost 1.00

00:41:06.620 and the rest of it so on the subject of religion is this uh for you is this a protest against muslim

00:41:14.700 faith or is it against islamism or is it against the regime what is it for you it's all it's not

00:41:21.660 against religion it's not against islam it's just against the regime of iran we don't want the islamic 1.00

00:41:30.060 republic right now the islamic republic is versed in iran we're not protesting against muslims

00:41:36.380 we're we're we're all okay with each other we love muslims there are a lot of muslims in our

00:41:41.100 country we hate the government our issue is with the islamic republic of iran the government who's

00:41:47.020 killing our youth who's making our country and our nation worse that's our problem we're united every 0.55

00:41:53.580 persian every iranian we're united to put an end to this and we will yeah this is not at all about islam

00:41:59.980 like this is not at all about being against islam or condemning islam this is not at all about that i

00:42:09.660 wish like i was saying i wish some of my hijab wearing sisters were here because it's not at all about 1.00

00:42:16.700 like condemning islam this is just about the cruelty and the human rights that goes around choice like

00:42:23.740 simple simple human rights like going and having breakfast without the headscarf should you choose 1.00

00:42:30.060 to do that you know going to a soccer game as a woman do you have family back in iran right now and

00:42:36.140 if so how are they doing with everything since last week the internet has been disabled and we don't have

00:42:41.180 any connection with iran we have families friends relatives and we don't know what's going on with

00:42:47.660 them we have no idea we are here to be loud clear we want that moloss regime to end we don't want that 0.99

00:42:57.340 regime anymore no compromise no negotiation nothing we don't want that regime anymore the communications

00:43:06.140 i'm hearing have been cut off the wi-fi is cancelled they're cancelling the wi-fi they don't want us they

00:43:10.380 don't want you guys to know what's happening that's the problem i have family back in iran but with the

00:43:14.780 network situation that's going on i can't speak with my family i don't know how they're doing but

00:43:19.260 all i know is that every persian every iranian living across the world we're here to put an end 1.00

00:43:25.020 we're here to put an end to this government to all these people to all these people who are against

00:43:29.740 to are against the nation who are killing tons and tons of our youth and we're here to we're here to take

00:43:35.420 over we're we hate the islamic republic and we're here to fight we're here to fight for our own people 0.93

00:43:41.660 that's what we're here to do what if anything would you like to see canada do about what's happening in

00:43:47.100 iran well just supporting the protest um the people of iran as much as possible um one thing that um it's

00:43:56.940 kind of rumors in um in in our community is that the the country is basically a paradise for um money

00:44:07.580 laundry and um like you know people who support this sort of terrorist regime they can just easily

00:44:14.540 come here enter the country you know have like a luxury life but um we are as as iranian people we

00:44:23.100 hope that canada can just stand against it and do something about it uh if they can ban

00:44:29.100 um or i don't know if they they they could just like um make it in a way make them to stop like

00:44:37.260 entering the country somehow yeah we'd like the canadian government to stop giving these people 1.00

00:44:43.420 visas we'd like the canadian government especially justin trudeau to deport these people that come here 1.00

00:44:50.860 that use our people's money we're here to tell them they aren't welcome here and we're here to tell

00:44:55.740 them that they're going to be gone well well i would like the international community to be more

00:45:00.780 involved uh more active in advocating for human rights for women's rights for justice for equity

00:45:11.260 and if all of the international community consistently did that more i think everyone would benefit

00:45:19.020 well there you have it you heard from some of the people who attended this protest today just one of

00:45:23.580 many that are sparking around the world in response to what's going on in iran many of the people here

00:45:30.620 today said that they are not in contact with their family that the online communications have been

00:45:36.060 shut down so of course we will be following that closely and rebel news reporters have been around

00:45:41.820 canada bringing you reports on this you can check out some more of our coverage on this by clicking
