Tonight, an update from Calgary. That's the Saddledome.
00:00:03.180
It's September 19th, and this is The Ezra Levant Show.
00:00:20.480
Oh, hi, everybody. It is so sunny here. I can barely keep my eyes open.
00:00:25.980
And now behind me is the location, the conference center, where we unify, is having a get-together.
00:00:34.180
It's an interesting mix of people who care about freedom from different perspectives,
00:00:38.420
especially from the COVID perspective, the personal health perspective.
00:00:42.300
I was invited to speak on a panel and to give a speech.
00:00:45.220
I gave some remarks about citizen journalism, talking about three important historical moments
00:00:50.080
where citizen journalism really made a difference.
00:00:52.260
The first one, of course, being the Canadian truckers.
00:00:55.140
The second one, being the Farmers' Rebellion in the Netherlands.
00:00:58.720
And the third one, just last week, Tommy Robinson's massive rally in the UK.
00:01:04.540
I was excited to be in there. I was also on a panel, including with Dr. Bruce Pardy.
00:01:10.240
But I really want to tell you about yesterday's gathering.
00:01:13.560
By the way, there's so many conferences going on in Calgary. It's very exciting.
00:01:17.500
I suppose you could go to a conference every week and still not cover them all.
00:01:22.580
Last night was not a conference, so it was a genuine birthday party at Rebel News.
00:01:27.960
I mean, we turned 10 years old a few months ago, but we had a celebration in Calgary.
00:01:34.240
Tamara Leach and her band played. It was amazing.
00:01:39.020
Without further ado here, take a look at some of the video from last night.
00:01:42.080
One more time. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you.
00:01:49.260
Happy birthday, Airwork Rebel. Happy birthday. Happy 10 years, Rebel.
00:02:04.400
Lots of friends here that have been with Ford, lots of people around Canada, and even around the world.
00:02:13.160
On our cruises, on our recent trip to the UK, a lot of people love Rebel because it's more than just the news.
00:02:23.040
We really live up to our motto, and we don't stop at just telling the news.
00:02:27.020
Every once in a while, we stop and try and fix the news.
00:02:30.980
Whether it's a fight-the-files project, or defending churches that were prosecuted during the lockdown,
00:02:40.920
or helping our dear friend Tamara Leach, who has been the subject.
00:02:51.800
Ten years has gone by in a flash. I've aged 20.
00:02:56.180
But I feel like we've made a difference in this country.
00:02:58.900
When we started, the regime media laughed at us.
00:03:05.120
And when Rebel News was a lonely other voice of dissent,
00:03:09.720
now we're joined by other independent journalists.
00:03:13.040
And I saw my friend Derek Fildebrandt from Western Standard here.
00:03:17.000
Derek, if you're in the room, put up your hand.
00:03:21.820
Earlier today, I saw my friend Kian Bexty from Juneau.
00:03:29.640
So Rebel News is not alone, and you're not alone.
00:03:33.500
I think that one of the most important services we do,
00:03:39.160
is letting you know that if the whole world says you're wrong,
00:03:46.000
I see my friend John Carpe from the Justice Center for Constitutional Freedom.
00:04:04.280
Sarah, one of our lawyers at the Democracy Fund.
00:04:09.340
Chris and Chimera were supposed to be run over.
00:04:20.300
But they had a different plan in mind, didn't they?
00:04:35.520
But I'm delighted that they continue to fight like hell.
00:04:40.240
A little bit later, we're going to play a video,
00:04:55.160
to introduce someone who's become a true friend.
00:06:36.520
We went out to work on a farm with my daughter.
