00:01:09.500 Tonight, just when you thought that Transanity couldn't get any crazier, well, it just got

00:01:16.640 crazier. It's Friday, April 25th, 2025. I'm David Menzies, and this is The Ezra Levent Show.

00:01:28.940 Shame on you, you censorious boobug. 1.00

00:01:32.220 The other day, I flew from Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport in Montreal to Billy Bishop

00:01:47.800 Toronto City Airport. By the way, talk about an epic contrast patriotism-wise when it comes to those two

00:01:56.180 Canadians who have had airports named after them, eh? Billy Bishop was a fighter pilot who went on to

00:02:03.440 become a decorated war hero in World War I, putting his life on the line numerous times over.

00:02:11.260 Trudeau, meanwhile, declined to fight for Canada in World War II, and even allegedly wore a German

00:02:17.260 soldier's helmet as he puttered around Montreal on his motorcycle. Class.

00:02:23.520 Anyway, upon deplaning, I had to see a man about a horse, so I made a beeline to the restroom.

00:02:31.500 After washing my hands, I noticed a silver box with the word

00:02:35.480 complimentary written upon it. Oh, that's interesting, I thought. What sort of stuff is this

00:02:41.480 airport providing me on the house? Breath mints? Mouthwash, maybe? Well, I popped open the lid of the

00:02:49.720 box, and I kind of wish I hadn't, folks, because here are the freebies that awaited. Tampons and sanitary

00:03:00.720 pads. To be crystal clear, folks, I was indeed in the men's washroom, incredibly in federally regulated

00:03:10.860 workplaces in Canada, and that would include airports. Menstrual hygiene products must be 0.97

00:03:17.500 provided. It doesn't matter if the washroom is the men's room, the ladies' room, or the gender neutral

00:03:24.040 room. This mandate went into effect on December 15th, 2023. Yep, yet again, more trans sanity, and this time 0.93

00:03:34.520 at taxpayer expense, no less. Keep this sort of outrageous spending in mind, by the way, when you

00:03:43.140 wonder why it is that our dominion is now saddled with a $62 billion deficit. Then again, if men are 0.86

00:03:52.020 pretending to be women, I guess part of the psychosis means that they must also pretend to experience 0.79

00:03:58.360 menstrual cycles as well. Oh, sure, Betty, who used to go by the name Bob, is sporting a beard and a

00:04:06.040 boner, but never mind. He's a she, and the he-she has female needs every month, you see. And if you say 1.00

00:04:13.740 otherwise, then you are obviously a bigot, a hater, and a transphobe. Incidentally, folks, whatever

00:04:21.020 happened to that off-repeated chestnut during the COVID days? You know, follow the science? Because

00:04:28.260 it looks like weird science has now eradicated biology 101. And so it is we have to go along with

00:04:36.080 accommodating mental illness as opposed to getting psychiatric help for transgenders. This includes

00:04:43.640 perpetuating the gross farce that men can have periods. Remember that kook Jonathan Yaniv, or whatever 0.99

00:04:51.080 he calls himself these days, posted on social media how he wanted to go swimming, but that he

00:04:58.240 couldn't because boo-hoo, it was that type time of the month? Yikes. How did society devolve in such a

00:05:08.620 disturbing fashion? So much so that the ideological mantra today is that if it's trans, it's good, 1.00

00:05:16.480 and if it's good, it's trans. Still, given that this story is not new, why do I bring it up? Well,

00:05:23.560 really, for three reasons. Firstly, all of my female friends tell me that it was ever thus

00:05:30.160 that they had to purchase their own menstrual products. These are real women who do or did 0.56

00:05:37.840 actually experience that time of the month, as in for real, not as some sort of bizarre cosplay act.

00:05:45.920 So what gives? Are so-called trans women so disproportionately economically disadvantaged

00:05:53.340 that they need handouts? Then again, we do pay for their cosmetic surgery procedures, after all, 1.00

00:06:00.620 whereas non-trans people, they have to pay for their own boob jobs and facelifts. Tough. 0.98

00:06:07.140 Oh, I do not exaggerate. Check out this decision rendered yesterday by the Ontario Court of Appeal.

00:06:13.440 The court ruled that the province must cover the cost of a penile sparing vaginoplasty for a

00:06:22.680 transgender who is only identified by the initials KS. KS, quote, does not identify as exclusively female

00:06:32.920 or male and wishes to have both genitalia, end quote. That's right. This dude wants both a penis and a

00:06:41.180 vagina. I mean, come on, pick a lane already. It's like the crying game on steroids, isn't it? 1.00

00:06:48.600 And Ontario's top court agrees. That's the really scary part of Transanity, wouldn't you say?

00:06:56.660 The role of powerful enablers like the courts. And so it is that KS, shouldn't it be KY?

00:07:04.660 Anyway, so it is that this circus sideshow attraction will undergo a surgical procedure

00:07:12.760 at a Texas clinic that would make Dr. Frankenstein blush. The surgeon will construct a vagina while 1.00

00:07:20.760 sparing his penis. It is a procedure that is not available anywhere else in Canada. 0.99

00:07:27.440 Wow, you mean to say there's not a lineup of people clamoring to get both sets of genitalia? 0.61

00:07:32.660 Well, knock me down with a feather. By the way, it should be noted that KS uses female pronouns,

00:07:41.660 but does not identify as either fully female or fully male. Oh, nothing weird about that, eh?

00:07:51.480 You know, it reminds me of that classic piece of TV a few years ago when former Liberal Party of Canada

00:07:56.900 President Stephen LaDrew was interviewed by Tucker Carlson.

00:08:02.040 What's two-spirit?

00:08:04.120 Well, two-spirit sounds like there's someone they don't know whether they're, you know, fish or fowl.

00:08:08.280 They don't know whether they're frick or frack. So they're clearly confused. And, you know, again,

00:08:13.180 if you're confused, what better place to go than to be at school?

00:08:15.960 Oh, poor LaDrew. That quip got him fired from Bell Media. You see, you're not allowed to call

00:08:24.100 confused people confused people in Canada these days. And talk about perverse irony. LaDrew was on

00:08:33.060 Tucker's show to argue that Canada is a bastion of free speech. But whether it's taxpayer-funded

00:08:41.300 surgery for the confused or providing free sanitary products for men pretending to be women,

00:08:48.960 is this perhaps more proof in the pudding that transgenders are a protected class worthy not of 1.00

00:08:56.200 equal rights, but rather of special rights? And who cares if they are destroying female safe spaces 1.00

00:09:03.460 ranging from shelters and sports to prisons? It's all about unreasonable accommodation, you see.

00:09:11.300 My second point, does anyone truly believe that trans sanity in our dominion will get any better 1.00

00:09:19.620 should the Mark Carney Liberals be elected on April 28th? Last week, the United Kingdom Supreme Court

00:09:26.860 ruled that trans women are not legally women. In the U.S., similar policy measures have been adopted

00:09:34.920 via presidential executive orders. In so many parts of the world, the pendulum vis-a-vis trans sanity

00:09:43.200 is swinging back to normalcy. As for Carney, we know he's hopelessly woke and is adamant on pursuing

00:09:52.760 a globalist agenda. And we all know what that means. Finally, I go back to the person that Toronto's

00:10:00.760 Island Airport is named after Billy Bishop. According to the Canadian Encyclopedia, Bishop was born in 1894

00:10:09.080 in Owen Sound, Ontario. He would go on to become Canada's top flying ace of the First World War,

00:10:15.880 being officially credited with 72 victories. 72! Later in life, during the Second World War, Bishop played an

00:10:24.920 important role in recruiting for the Royal Canadian Air Force and in promoting the British Commonwealth Air

00:10:32.040 Training Plan. This patriot would pass away in 1956. You know, I wonder if the kids at school even learn

00:10:41.480 about Billy Bishop anymore. I mean, there's only so much time devoted to teaching real, actual history these

00:10:48.840 days. And woke school boards prioritize leftist ideology bordering on Marxism. Oh sure, little Johnny

00:10:57.320 and little Janie can't spell cat, even if you were to spot them the C and the T, but they are well aware

00:11:04.760 of all the genders that comprise the L-G-G-B-D-T-T-T-I-Q-Q-A-A-P-P-L-C-B-C-O-C-I-B-C-B-M-O-L-C-B-O 1.00

00:11:19.240 community. And they can tell you all about International Transgender Day of Visibility,

00:11:24.600 and Trans Awareness Month, and Transparent Month, and International Day Against Transphobia.

00:11:31.480 Put another way, who's got time to dwell on something so trite as Remembrance Day Classic

00:11:38.040 these days, when the emphasis, well at least in the eyes of the educrats, should be on Transgender

00:11:45.000 Day of Remembrance, whatever the hell that is. Do you get the feeling that Billy Bishop is doing

00:11:52.040 loop-the-loops in his grave right now? At least the good news is that Billy Bishop's name still graces

00:11:59.880 Toronto's Little Island Airport. After all, Billy Bishop was a flying ace. He went to war, he shot guns,

00:12:07.720 he put his life on the line protecting our rights and freedoms, and he didn't pretend to have

00:12:13.160 non-existent menstrual cycles. And you know, surely for the rank and file who comprise 0.97

00:12:19.400 team-team-cancel culture, that's a whole lot of toxic masculinity that must be shot down in the years ahead.

00:12:28.360 Well, folks, did you hear that Prime Minister Mark Carney uses the Isle of Man basically for

00:12:47.640 tax evasion purposes? So who cares about that? Well, I'll tell you, we care about it. That's why the big

00:12:53.320 boss man himself. He flew over to the Isle of Man with Lincoln Jay to file a report. Check it out.

00:13:02.440 Ezra Levant here for Rebel News. We flew all night from Toronto to Dublin, waited at the Dublin airport,

00:13:09.640 then got on a smaller aircraft and flew just under an hour into a small island between Ireland and the

00:13:18.840 United Kingdom. It's a small place. Maybe you've heard of it. It's called the Isle of Man. And that's

00:13:24.280 where we're standing today. There's less than 90,000 people on the Isle of Man. And it's a lovely place,

00:13:34.040 centuries old. The Vikings used to rule the place, then the Celts. Now it has its own culture. The Isle

00:13:40.680 of Man, someone from the Isle of Man is called a Manx, which is interesting.

00:13:44.440 The key thing about this place from a global perspective is not its beauty, but its tax status.

00:13:56.680 This is a place people come to when they don't want to pay tax. There's no capital gains tax. There's

00:14:04.200 no wealth tax. There's no inheritance tax. In fact, tax is capped at 200,000 pounds per person,

00:14:10.520 no matter how much you make. You will never pay more than that in tax. I understand it. The income

00:14:17.000 tax is just 22%. But like I say, there is a cap. This is where you come if you want to hide millions

00:14:25.160 or even billions. The thing is, it's a lovely place to retire, but it's not quite as warm as,

00:14:31.800 let's say, the Cayman Islands and the Caribbean and other tax avoidance hotspot.

00:14:36.760 So what happens is millionaires and billionaires come here to set up a fake office, like a mailbox or a

00:14:47.000 P.O. box and say that their company is headquartered here because there's another wrinkle in Isle of Man

00:14:55.000 taxation. You can pay all your global taxes for all your activities around the world.

00:15:02.440 You can pay them here in the Isle of Man. So you can be doing business in the United States, in Canada,

00:15:09.240 in the European Union, but you can come here to pay your tax as a kind of tax minimization,

00:15:17.560 tax evasion, tax avoidance strategy. And maybe you can guess where I'm going with this.

00:15:24.520 Canada's new prime minister, who's seeking a new term, Mark Carney, he was the chairman of Brookfield

00:15:31.560 Asset Management for years. It's not a household name like BlackRock Asset Management, but it's a kind

00:15:37.960 of mini BlackRock. It has about a trillion dollars in assets under management. And BlackRock is famous,

00:15:47.800 but Brookfield, I think should be because through tricky corporate structures, they have made it so

00:15:56.280 their assets and their profits are as tax free as possible. There was a report that Brookfield managed to

00:16:05.240 hide 25 billion dollars by operating a shell company out of Bermuda. In fact, an independent study suggests

00:16:14.280 that Brookfield, under Mark Carney's leadership, was the number one largest tax dodger in the country.

00:16:24.840 They have all sorts of corporate structures, but obviously they're not living here. They're not working

00:16:31.160 here. Brookfield doesn't operate here. We're here because I want to go to a house on Belgravia Road.

00:16:40.520 It's a house. I know that even though I haven't been there yet. I looked it up on Google Maps

00:16:44.360 because Brookfield IOM, Brookfield Isle of Man is headquartered in what looks like on Google Maps to be

00:16:54.600 someone's house. And I did some more corporate searches. And the director of Brookfield IOM is an 88

00:17:03.720 year old man, Leslie Commons. An 88 year old man is running an organization with billions or tens of

00:17:14.680 billions of dollars. Is that for real? Well, I've learned that a lot of people in the Isle of Man

00:17:20.040 have a kind of job or a series of jobs where they act as the pretend officers or directors of these

00:17:28.520 foreign companies. They're just regular people who for a certain sum of money said, sure, I'll be your

00:17:33.720 director. Sure. You can put my name down on the corporate records. I'm an 88 year old man. You can

00:17:38.760 pay me X amount of dollars a month and I'll be the name on the piece of paper hiding the true power behind

00:17:45.880 the throne. You know, we've only been in the Isle of Man for about an hour and we haven't talked to a

00:17:52.440 lot of people other than our cab driver who's been giving us a bit of a tour. There's lovely people

00:17:57.240 here and it sounds like a close knit community. Sounds like a wonderful place to grow up. It's so

00:18:02.360 beautiful, first of all. But when you have the kind of tax dodges that this place does, you attract some

00:18:09.480 shady characters. Believe it or not, one of the largest industries in the Isle of Man is online

00:18:15.720 gambling. The Isle of Man has not complied with other countries rules about money laundering. And

00:18:23.000 so it's well known that there is a lot of money laundering here, not just from the international

00:18:27.480 drug trade, the international weapons trade, but also regimes like the Russian Federation when

00:18:34.520 where politicians and oligarchs try and squirrel their money out of Russia and hide it from the tax

00:18:40.520 men. The Russian tax men and the tax men in London or New York also. We are in a city that's called

00:18:48.200 Douglas, the capital, where there are many wonderful people. But there are also shadow people, people who 1.00

00:18:55.640 come here to hide money from tax collectors. Now, each of us would love to do that. Wouldn't you like to

00:19:02.840 have a mailbox on Belgravia Road and have someone say, yeah, I'm the head officer of a barber shop,

00:19:11.480 a restaurant, a farm, and we're only going to pay 22% tax capped at 200,000 pounds a year? Wouldn't you

00:19:17.960 like to do that? Because as Mark Carney says, it's all legal. He was asked about his Bermuda tax dodge.

00:19:25.880 Remember what he said? You were at the helm of a company that quite clearly registered much of its business

00:19:31.640 in Bermuda to avoid paying taxes, including as CTV News reported, registered to an address of a bike

00:19:39.240 shop in Bermuda. You have said that this is the way the world works and that in the case of pension

00:19:45.400 funds that leaves more money for pensioners. But in this case, it looks like just plain tax avoidance.

00:19:51.960 This may be a legal practice and as you say, as the world works, but is it ethical, Mr. Carney?

00:19:58.520 The first off, I'm no longer at Brookfield. Secondly, this follows their arrangements,

00:20:06.440 follow the rules, including the tax rules of this country, other countries. And thirdly,

00:20:12.520 as you mentioned in your question, that the structure is organized so that Canadian pension

00:20:17.880 funds can get the most benefit for those pensioners, which are teachers, retired first responders,

00:20:25.160 and public service. Thank you. He said he followed the rules and he said his clients got a good deal

00:20:31.000 of it out of it. Well, sure they did. And he got a huge deal out of it. But what about everyone else?

00:20:36.120 What about everyone else back in Canada who has to live under Canadian rules, pay Canadian taxes?

00:20:42.360 You know, Mark Carney hasn't actually answered the question about where he personally filed his taxes.

00:20:48.360 Did he file them in Canada? Remember, he's got three passports, including a British passport

00:20:54.440 and an Irish passport. The Isle of Man is actually a crown protectorate of the United Kingdom.

00:21:01.160 Did Mark Carney use his other passport so he could file his personal taxes here in the Isle of Man?

00:21:08.280 I don't know. But we're now going to make our way down to Belgravia Road and we're going to ring the

00:21:13.240 doorbell of Mr. Commons. And I'm sure if he's home that he's a lovely 88 year old man who probably won't

00:21:20.360 even know what I'm talking about, because my guess is he does this like a lot of people, a lot of Manx 0.98

00:21:26.680 people do. They just make a few extra bucks being an on paper director for foreign oligarchs. Let's go see

00:21:33.800 what happens when we ring the doorbell. All right. Well, we're on our way now to find the director

00:21:39.400 of Brookfield Isle of Man. And I want to tell you, we found his name by going on the corporate search

00:21:46.280 in the UK. It's called Companies House. That's the official UK government registry where all companies

00:21:52.280 have to post some public information. As you can see, Brookfield IOM registered as an overseas entity

00:22:01.000 in December of 2022. That's when Mark Carney was the chairman. It's updated its information

00:22:08.120 in December 2023 and December 2024, just weeks before Mark Carney became the Canadian prime minister.

00:22:16.280 There's not a lot of information here. And I think it's that way on purpose. It's sort of like a

00:22:22.280 mafia organization. They have cutouts, they have deceptions. The whole point of it is to confuse.

00:22:30.440 But if you look at the filing history, this is where it gets really interesting in my mind.

00:22:36.760 I'm just going to click on the latest. When this was set up by Mark Carney a couple of years ago,

00:22:45.880 they have a page called individual beneficial owner details. So beneficial owner is someone who

00:22:52.360 is like the word says, he's the true owner, the guy who benefits from it. And his name is Leslie

00:22:57.560 Commons. I've never heard of that before. And a Google search doesn't turn up much at all. But I see

00:23:04.440 on here that he is 88 years old. And I say, mazel tov, hopefully he lives to be 120. But that suggests

00:23:11.480 to me that he's just a placeholder, a straw man. And that they're actually using him to try to hide the

00:23:16.920 true identity of who's behind Brookfield IOM. So his address is in here. It looks like a residential

00:23:23.160 address. And that's a tip off right there. Brookfield has some of the most majestic imperial skyscrapers

00:23:31.640 in the Western world. The fact that this looks like Mr. Commons is in a residential home tells me

00:23:38.120 that he's just a straw man. But look at what is sworn to in this document. That Mr. Commons holds,

00:23:45.240 directly or indirectly, more than 25 percent of the shares. That he holds, directly or indirectly,

00:23:50.760 more than 25 percent of the voting rights. That he has the right, directly or indirectly,

00:23:55.480 to appoint or remove a majority of the board of directors. And that he has the right to exercise,

00:24:01.320 or actually exercises, significant influence or control over the entity. Is it true that 88-year-old

00:24:08.680 Leslie Commons of Belgravia Road and the Isle of Man, a fellow whose home we're going to right now,

00:24:15.320 is it true that he is the boss of Brookfield IOM? Can that really be true? Or is this just a legal

00:24:22.840 fiction set up by Mark Carney and his tricky lawyers to avoid paying taxes in Canada? You'll remember this

00:24:30.440 was around the time that Mark Carney voted to move the headquarters of Brookfield out of Canada to the

00:24:36.760 United States again for tax reasons. Let's find out. And by the way, I'm going to be super friendly to

00:24:42.200 Mr. Commons because my guess is he's just a fella who earned some pocket money by being a straw man

00:24:48.280 placeholder in Mark Carney's filings. It's Mark Carney and the lawyers who crafted all this. They just

00:24:54.280 needed some guy and they found 88-year-old Mr. Commons. Let's see if we can find him.

00:25:00.120 Well, we found it. Planes, trains and automobiles half a continent away. We found the head office for

00:25:06.680 Brookfield IOM, Brookfield Isle of Man. It's a foreign shell company set up by Mark Carney two and a half

00:25:15.000 years ago when he was the chairman of Brookfield Asset Management. It was renewed in 2023 and again in

00:25:21.000 December 2024. That's it.

00:25:30.040 Hi, I'm Ezra. Are you, is Mr. Commons in?

00:25:35.640 I have no idea. Can I ask what you're doing though?

00:25:39.960 I came here from Canada to, to, because the Canadian Prime Minister

00:25:44.760 has an office here and I, and it's registered to Mr. Commons.

00:25:51.960 Are you, do you know who he is, Leslie Commons?

00:25:53.960 He's my landlord, yeah.

00:25:55.400 He's your landlord, yeah.

00:25:58.040 Do you know, he is upstairs, I don't know if he's in or not.

00:26:02.040 Oh, okay. So I push the button and, so he's the landlord.

00:26:07.320 Flat five.

00:26:08.040 Yeah, I push the button there because, because there's a political story. I just wanted to

00:26:13.000 ask him some questions about it, but you don't know if he's in.

00:26:16.040 I, I've just come back and I'm going on holiday this afternoon, so if he hasn't

00:26:20.120 answered his bell, then I presume either he's not in or not.

00:26:23.000 Yeah, I push the button three times and, uh, yeah.

00:26:27.480 So he's the landlord, but does he also live here?

00:26:29.720 Sometimes, yeah.

00:26:31.560 Not, not only in America.

00:26:33.080 Right. Do you know where he goes when he's not here? Like, is he in town now?

00:26:38.040 I saw him last week, but I don't know if he's around now.

00:26:41.800 Yeah. Okay. Well, thanks very much. And, uh, we're, I just talk, I'm not talking about

00:26:48.600 you and, and don't worry about it. We're just talking about the Prime Minister.

00:26:52.200 Obviously, it's just because you're shooting a camera at the building, honestly.

00:26:55.480 Yeah, well, I'm not in the film at all now.

00:26:59.320 We'll blur your face. Okay?

00:27:01.640 I'll just put my phone down.

00:27:04.040 Okay, that's a good idea. Thank you.

00:27:05.880 Thank you. Isn't that very, very interesting? As I was talking about how

00:27:12.120 Leslie Commons was not in and didn't answer his doorbell, someone else came to the window,

00:27:17.560 saw us filming. And I walked over and I, and she didn't want to appear on camera.

00:27:21.080 And I said we would blur her face. She confirmed for me that Leslie Commons does live 1.00

00:27:27.400 in the apartment above her and that he's the landlord and she saw him just the other day.

00:27:34.760 And he does indeed live here. So, uh, I guess he is a bit of a businessman himself, but the Brookfield

00:27:42.920 IOM office, it, it's marked on his buzzer. I rang it three times.

00:27:46.840 Um, that friendly lady doesn't think he's in today either.

00:27:52.040 Um, but here's what's going on. This is not where Brookfield does its business.

00:27:57.400 This is a beautiful residential street on the beautiful island of the Isle of Man.

00:28:02.600 Just up there is, uh, Anken Park. There's tennis courts. There's a little boating pond.

00:28:08.760 This is a wonderful place to live. It's on the ocean. It's a little chilly. It's not like being

00:28:13.480 in the Caribbean, except in one way. Here's the way it's like being in the Caribbean. Well,

00:28:17.960 350 years ago, there was a wildness to a lot of the Caribbean and there were little

00:28:23.480 ports where pirates can go and they weren't hunted down. Tortuga, for example, even Nassau in the

00:28:31.000 Bahamas. There was a period of time when pirates could sail around the Caribbean,

00:28:36.120 attacking ships, stealing, and they could go to these safe free ports and do their pirate business.

00:28:43.240 It wasn't too long before the great navies of the world crushed the pirates and stopped that illicit

00:28:48.280 trade. Um, I'm not saying that the Isle of Man is like Tortuga, but it is home to people like Mark

00:28:56.600 Carney who want to squirrel away billions or even tens of billions of dollars to keep them out of the hands

00:29:03.880 of the tax man back in Canada. And I simply don't believe that that lovely residential building

00:29:11.720 is the headquarters of Brookfield IOM. In fact, I know it's not. And I simply don't believe that a

00:29:18.360 kindly 88 year old landlord, um, who lives in a building and handles the rent from a couple of

00:29:26.040 families below. I simply don't believe that he is the beneficial owner and director of Brookfield IOM.

00:29:33.720 Like I say, he does what a lot of people in the Isle of Man do to make a few extra bucks on the side.

00:29:38.680 He's a straw man and I'm not saying there's anything illegal with it. In fact, that's sort of the whole

00:29:43.640 point here in the Isle of Man. This is perfectly legal. And as Mark Carney keeps on saying, Hey,

00:29:50.040 he followed all the rules. Wouldn't it be nice though, if your company could have an office in

00:29:57.560 the Isle of Man that you had a maximum 22% income tax rate that was capped at 200,000 pounds a year,

00:30:05.480 no inheritance tax, no wealth tax, no capital gains tax. Wouldn't it be great

00:30:10.520 if you could live by those rules? Alas, the common people, the peasants are not allowed to, 1.00

00:30:15.800 just the masters of the universe, like Mark Carney. What I really want to know

00:30:22.280 is did he file his own taxes here in the Isle of Man? In fact, that's one of the questions I put to

00:30:29.240 the Liberal Party today. When I was coming out here, I sent an email to them. I'd like to read those

00:30:34.520 questions to you now. I think the odds of them answering me are about the same of the odds of

00:30:39.080 us getting into the Debates Commission and for the same reason. Let me read to you the eight questions

00:30:44.200 I put to Mark Carney via the Liberal Party today. Number one, what is the purpose of Brookfield IOM?

00:30:50.520 That stands for Isle of Man. When was it created? Did Brookfield set up Brookfield IOM to avoid Canadian 1.00

00:30:57.800 taxes? I think we know the answer to that one. How much tax does Brookfield pay in the Isle of Man?

00:31:05.080 Does Brookfield actually have any business activity in the Isle of Man? Did Mr. Carney himself pay his

00:31:12.600 taxes in the Isle of Man? I wouldn't be surprised if he did. The Isle of Man is considered a haven for

00:31:19.880 money laundering, tax avoidance, and tax evasion. Did Mr. Carney have any ethical qualms with that?

00:31:26.760 We know the answer to that one already, don't we? Does Mr. Carney still have his Irish and British

00:31:32.360 passports? And finally, are there any other facts about Brookfield IOM, Isle of Man, that Mr. Carney

00:31:39.000 would like to disclose? Oh, I don't think so. But then again, I don't think any journalist is actually

00:31:45.000 going to put those questions to him. They're a little too prickly, a little bit too accountability

00:31:50.200 oriented. It's too much like vetting, Mark Carney. You know, this is a lovely place to live. This is

00:31:57.160 a residential neighborhood. Normally we wouldn't even come into a place like this to do journalism.

00:32:01.960 We would go to a corporate head office. Brookfield owns some of the most spectacular buildings in the

00:32:08.520 world. For example, in London, they own Canary Wharf, one of the most prestigious, basically financial

00:32:17.160 centers in the West. That's where they do their business activity. The only reason Brookfield

00:32:23.240 IOM has a little button and a mailbox here is to get around paying the taxes that you and I have to

00:32:31.800 pay. And the fact that Mark Carney was supervising this Brookfield Isle of Man as recently as December

00:32:40.040 2024 shows the kind of prime minister that he is and that he will be.

00:32:45.960 If you think this journalism was worthwhile, help me out. In the end, we didn't find Mr. Commons,

00:32:54.360 but I think what we would have found was an 88 year old kindly man. We had a bit of a chat with one of

00:33:00.200 his tenants. But we came here to do a kind of investigative journalism that the CBC only reserves

00:33:07.400 for the Pierre Polyevs of the world. No one is really vetting Mark Carney, just like no one really vetted

00:33:14.360 Justin Trudeau. If you think this was worth it, go to thecarneyfiles.com and chip in a few dollars.

00:33:22.360 My colleague Lincoln Jay and I flew to Dublin this morning and then flew to the Isle of Man and we're

00:33:28.040 doing the whole thing in reverse now because we thought this was an important story. And I wanted

00:33:32.360 to see what the Brookfield HQ looked like. You know what it looks like? It looks like a tax avoidance

00:33:40.920 scheme. For Rebel News, I'm Ezra LeVant.
