Rebel News Podcast - Ezra Levant Show (April 7 2021) The head of YouTube brags about how brutal they’ve made their censorship

00:00:00.000 Hello, my friends. Big show today. Two parts. First of all, I go through the president of YouTube,

00:00:06.340 how she brags about how she's censoring the internet. It's a little creepy, but not as

00:00:11.020 creepy as Chief Justice Beverly McLaughlin, the retired judge in Canada who now works for China,

00:00:17.560 what she has to say about censorship. But then I think the highlight of today's show is talking

00:00:22.380 to Sheila Gunn-Reed, who went to the Grace Life Church in Edmonton as it was raided by police.

00:00:28.900 So we'll have excerpts of that. I really wish you had the video version of this podcast.

00:00:34.860 Not only to see the first stories, but to see Sheila on location with your own eyes, what that was like.

00:00:41.080 You can get all that by getting the video version of this podcast at rebelnews.com and click subscribe.

00:00:46.360 It's eight bucks a month. You get my show, Sheila's show, David Menzies' show, Andrew Chapitreau's show,

00:00:51.040 and the satisfaction of knowing your eight dollars a month goes to support Rebel News.

00:00:54.940 All right, here's today's podcast.

00:00:58.900 Tonight, the head of YouTube brags about how brutal they've made their censorship.

00:01:16.900 Plus, Sheila Gunn-Reed live from the church invasion in Edmonton.

00:01:20.800 It's April 7th, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.

00:01:25.320 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?

00:01:29.120 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.

00:01:33.200 The only thing I have to say to the government about why I publish it is because it's my bloody right to do so.

00:01:39.060 Stay with us. After my monologue, we'll go to Sheila Gunn-Reed, who was on the scene as police raided the Grace Life Church outside Edmonton, Alberta.

00:01:52.800 But first, you know the World Economic Forum, right?

00:01:55.800 It's those really creepy, creepy people who believe in the Great Reset, who tell us we should own nothing, have no privacy, eat bugs, stuff like that, while they feast on seven-course meals.

00:02:08.760 Seriously, it's a billionaire's club.

00:02:11.660 By the way, their keynote speaker at this year's get-together was Xi Jinping, the dictator of China.

00:02:17.620 Well, they had an online conference yesterday, and by random chance I stumbled upon it, and I recognized the president of YouTube.

00:02:25.340 I know what she looks like, but I actually never heard her speak before.

00:02:28.740 I realized it was really weird to hear a billionaire tech oligarch who sounded like a stereotypical valley girl.

00:02:38.400 She's an up-talker who also does vocal fry. 1.00

00:02:42.000 You know what I mean by that?

00:02:43.020 My American accent that you heard on Terminator kind of changed a little bit into Callie from the Valley.

00:02:51.280 She's like this whole situation.

00:02:55.820 That was amazing.

00:02:57.380 I don't know, I just think it's weird to hear that coming from the mouth of an oligarch billionaire,

00:03:02.720 but I guess when you're that rich and powerful, all you ever hear is how wonderful you are,

00:03:08.020 and no one points out that you sound a bit like Paris Hilton.

00:03:10.680 Well, she's not wonderful. 0.50

00:03:13.360 She's terrible.

00:03:14.360 I watched her whole presentation, and it was basically her boasting to the World Economic Forum

00:03:20.120 about how harshly YouTube has ratcheted up the censorship of the Internet.

00:03:26.100 She's being interviewed by a super up-talker here.

00:03:29.540 The last time we spoke, which was at, or the last time we spoke in public, which was at South by Southwest,

00:03:33.620 you introduced a new concept very much related to this, which is that when conspiracy information is shown,

00:03:41.160 you would show a panel with authoritative information, and you would lead people to Wikipedia.

00:03:45.940 Tell me how this has evolved over the last two years.

00:03:49.100 Sure.

00:03:49.420 So, yes, we met almost, what, two and a half years ago, 2018, and I told you.

00:03:54.740 Oh, my God, three years ago.

00:03:56.380 Yeah, three years ago, and I told you that we were going to do label content,

00:04:03.700 and at the time that was a new idea.

00:04:05.660 No one, I don't think we had actually rolled it out, or we were just in the process of rolling it out,

00:04:09.800 and that became something that we now refer to as information panels,

00:04:13.900 and those information panels have become incredibly important.

00:04:17.680 I'd say they're a serious workforce in making sure that people have the right information

00:04:22.400 and that we can use to counter misinformation.

00:04:26.600 So I'll give you a few examples.

00:04:27.980 We certainly have used that on all the coronavirus information.

00:04:32.420 So if you look at something COVID-related, we'll link to all different kind of health information,

00:04:36.680 health authorities, depending upon what country you're in.

00:04:39.840 All kinds of common conspiracies will link that.

00:04:43.100 For election integrity, we use that.

00:04:46.140 In COVID, we serve hundreds of billions of impressions that were different information panels.

00:04:51.180 So we've come a long way, Nick, since we first met,

00:04:54.920 and I'm hopeful that our VBR is also the start to something really important,

00:04:59.360 which is more transparency and just an enhancement of our transparency report

00:05:04.500 to understand how we think about violent abuse.

00:05:07.360 Did you get that?

00:05:08.340 Hundreds of billions of times, they correct people who think improper thoughts about the pandemic.

00:05:15.540 By the way, what does it mean to think improperly about the pandemic?

00:05:19.660 Aren't we all learning new things about it every day?

00:05:22.060 Isn't there reasonable disagreement on things?

00:05:24.580 I mean, take, for example, the science about masks.

00:05:27.840 I showed you this clip yesterday.

00:05:29.340 Which of these versions is true, and which is that conspiracy theory?

00:05:33.520 Irritating, and people are more likely to touch their face when they have a mask on,

00:05:38.500 and that can be a way of inoculating yourself.

00:05:41.420 If I'm not sick, it's not effective.

00:05:43.660 It's not something that when I'm out in public, it's going to protect me in any way.

00:05:47.780 We don't want people wearing it all day long, for example.

00:05:51.180 We cannot rely on a mask, because the mask is not what keeps us safe.

00:05:57.260 And masks for long periods of time are not recommended by anybody in any situation.

00:06:02.800 We're not wearing masks now.

00:06:04.480 Would we be safer right now if we had masks on?

00:06:07.000 No.

00:06:07.680 You see, these are the things that we have learned.

00:06:09.660 I've always supported wearing masks.

00:06:12.160 I've never said don't wear them.

00:06:13.980 I've always said wear them where it's appropriate.

00:06:16.240 And that's just a gentle question about masks, and if they make sense.

00:06:19.560 How about where the virus actually came from?

00:06:22.820 Well, here's the former head of the Centers for Disease Control, the top American public health agency.

00:06:30.420 He thinks the virus escaped from the Wuhan Virology Institute.

00:06:37.680 If I was to guess, this virus started transmitting somewhere in September, October in Wuhan.

00:06:42.160 September, October.

00:06:43.120 That's my own view.

00:06:44.380 It's an only opinion.

00:06:45.040 I'm allowed to have opinions now.

00:06:46.460 You know, I am of the point of view that I still think the most likely etiology of this pathogen in Wuhan was from a laboratory, you know, escaped. 0.67

00:06:58.520 Other people don't believe that.

00:07:00.180 That's fine.

00:07:00.760 Science will eventually figure it out.

00:07:02.540 It's not unusual for respiratory pathogens that are being worked on in a laboratory to infect a laboratory worker.

00:07:07.960 It is also not unusual for that type of research to be occurring in Wuhan.

00:07:16.020 The city is a widely known center for viral studies in China, including the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which has experimented extensively with bat coronaviruses.

00:07:27.080 Now, that's on CNN.

00:07:28.360 I don't know if it's right or wrong.

00:07:30.040 It rings true to me.

00:07:31.780 But if you say those things on YouTube, you could lose your channel.

00:07:35.960 Channel, let me quote an exact excerpt from YouTube's Rules.

00:07:41.580 False or unsubstantiated claims about the cause, promotion of dangerous remedies or cures, includes false or misleading claims about the effects or distribution of vaccines, or origin or spread of COVID-19 that contradict scientific consensus.

00:07:58.300 Examples of this include government or governments created the virus as a bioweapon.

00:08:03.720 Corporations created the virus.

00:08:05.960 Okay, well, what if the consensus is wrong?

00:08:09.900 And whose consensus?

00:08:10.960 That of the World Health Organization?

00:08:12.500 China's consensus?

00:08:13.520 America who?

00:08:14.600 Is science decided by votes?

00:08:17.180 I guess it has been for centuries.

00:08:19.420 Galileo was convicted for defying the consensus.

00:08:23.620 He said that the earth revolved around the sun, not the other way around.

00:08:27.280 And that was just out of step of the consensus.

00:08:30.640 But how do you ever advance and progress your understanding of the world if you can't challenge the establishment view?

00:08:36.700 I can't think of anything less progressive than banning new and controversial ideas.

00:08:42.660 New ideas are sometimes wrong.

00:08:44.540 Maybe they're wrong most of the time.

00:08:45.900 But we don't really know until we test them out, do we?

00:08:48.760 That's the scientific process.

00:08:50.400 You have a hypothesis.

00:08:51.580 You run an experiment.

00:08:53.120 You see the results.

00:08:54.000 You revise your theories.

00:08:55.920 You try again.

00:08:56.760 But if you do that on YouTube's favorite issues, and you heard them, the pandemic, or did Joe Biden win through voter fraud, you'll be banned.

00:09:05.380 And she's pretty proud of that.

00:09:09.320 Susan Wojcicki, that's the YouTube CEO, even explains how they're doing it.

00:09:14.660 She says they're making many more censorship rules, and they're enforcing those many more rules harder than ever.

00:09:21.460 Those are two ways, she boasts, that she's correcting how people think.

00:09:26.100 Well, first of all, I just want to say I think it was a really important milestone in terms of what we announced today.

00:09:31.200 Because we have been asked many, many times by governments, by press, by advertising, creator community, about this violative rape.

00:09:41.160 And we were able to show exactly how good we are at enforcement of our policies, right?

00:09:48.800 So we were able to show that we have a very high ability to find this content and show exactly what that number was.

00:09:57.700 We were also able to show that we were able to reduce it significantly over time.

00:10:04.820 So if you look at where we were in 2017 at the same time of the year, we've reduced this more than 70%.

00:10:11.340 And that is due to an incredible amount of hard work with machines and also improving our policies.

00:10:17.400 So not only did we significantly remove content that violates our policies at that significant rate,

00:10:24.160 but we also created a lot more policies that we had to remove.

00:10:27.580 And I mean, I would say the machines are good.

00:10:30.200 We can find content across the board.

00:10:33.880 But, you know, something like hate speech or something that has a lot of context would be something that would be harder from a machine standpoint to be able to detect.

00:10:44.740 But in the end, we've been able to really fine-tune our machines so that we can find a lot of this content.

00:10:52.080 And it is flagged, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it's removed.

00:10:55.680 So what happens is the machines will flag it, and then it will be sent to human reviewers who will determine whether or not this is in fact violative or not.

00:11:04.300 Well, look who's ready to give that sendership a real boost.

00:11:08.260 Here's a story today in Blacklock's reporter.

00:11:11.540 Kill websites, says McLaughlin, referring to former Chief Justice Beverly McLaughlin.

00:11:16.700 Federal regulators should take down websites with hurtful words, says a former Supreme Court justice.

00:11:23.460 Beverly McLaughlin yesterday said enforcement measures must be taken against Internet publishers hurting our democracy.

00:11:29.460 We need to have, in some circumstances, a takedown mechanism when it's going to be a threat to life, said McLaughlin.

00:11:38.400 I don't know what she means by a threat to life.

00:11:41.440 I'm guessing she means like a death threat, a credible, imminent death threat.

00:11:46.380 I mean, that's already covered by the criminal code.

00:11:47.860 I can't actually think of a single social media company in the world that wouldn't take that down.

00:11:51.920 It's a violation of the terms of service of Twitter, of Facebook, of YouTube, whatever.

00:11:57.000 I don't think you need the courts to get involved.

00:11:59.420 I can assure you that companies do that automatically, very quickly.

00:12:04.360 But that's not what they're really after, is it?

00:12:06.940 That's not what the pandemic thing or the voter fraud thing are about, is it?

00:12:11.060 They're trying to get political mind control, not life-saving measures. 0.72

00:12:14.760 Let me read some more.

00:12:15.940 We also need other mechanisms.

00:12:18.140 We need a place where people can raise complaints.

00:12:21.520 McLaughlin, 77, retired as Chief Justice four years ago.

00:12:24.860 She co-authored a federally funded report that said Parliament must, quote,

00:12:28.740 protect against social harms on the Internet.

00:12:32.680 Speaking in a podcast for World Press Freedom Canada,

00:12:36.480 McLaughlin said current limits on free speech are inadequate,

00:12:39.420 including libel law and 1970 hate speech provisions of the criminal code.

00:12:43.940 The problem is they're not always swift and fast, said McLaughlin.

00:12:47.900 Criminal proceedings take a terribly long time.

00:12:50.440 We are proposing an e-court where you go online, you say,

00:12:55.700 this is happening to me.

00:12:56.880 I am being bullied or harassed or whatever it is.

00:12:59.420 And how do I deal with it?

00:13:00.960 And there would be experts who know how to deal with those things.

00:13:05.240 Oh, just that, eh?

00:13:07.260 I love the fact that censors call themselves, what do they say?

00:13:10.920 World Press Freedom Canada?

00:13:12.440 That's gorgeous.

00:13:13.620 What, did you think they'd call themselves Globalist Press Censorship Canada branch?

00:13:17.060 No.

00:13:18.000 But they knew they had an ally in Beverly McLaughlin, and it's quite sad.

00:13:23.120 Beverly McLaughlin, I mean, she's the one who denounced Canada as a racist, genocidal country.

00:13:29.380 Now, that's not true.

00:13:30.300 It's a lie.

00:13:31.080 It's a smear.

00:13:31.860 But it just happens to have fit perfectly with the anti-Canada agenda promoted

00:13:35.800 by not just Justin Trudeau, but by the Communist Party of China.

00:13:40.440 They keep throwing that back in Canada's face.

00:13:42.480 Whenever we mention human rights abuses in China,

00:13:44.860 they talk about our genocide, and really, fair play, 0.65

00:13:48.560 if our own prime minister and our own chief justice

00:13:50.860 say we're human rights criminals, say we committed a genocide,

00:13:54.300 why shouldn't China be able to quote them back to us?

00:13:58.200 And of course, in the case of McLaughlin,

00:14:00.180 the Chinese don't just quote her.

00:14:03.080 They hire her. 0.98

00:14:05.620 That's McLaughlin on China's official website

00:14:09.080 for the Court of Final Appeal in Hong Kong.

00:14:11.860 Now, back in the olden days, like just a few years ago,

00:14:15.100 that would be great.

00:14:15.920 A perfect job for a Canadian. 1.00

00:14:17.860 Help oversee the independent laws of Hong Kong.

00:14:20.780 That would be a great job.

00:14:22.740 But that's over.

00:14:24.500 Hong Kong isn't free anymore.

00:14:26.040 China has crushed it.

00:14:27.540 They're arresting politicians in the street.

00:14:29.460 They're arresting lawyers, democracy activists.

00:14:31.720 They broke their promise to Hong Kongers, 0.99

00:14:33.600 and they broke their promise to the UK and to the world

00:14:36.040 that they would keep Hong Kong free.

00:14:37.500 They're a tyranny now, just like the rest of China. 0.99

00:14:41.500 But Beverly McLaughlin stays on their court. 0.99

00:14:44.040 She loves it.

00:14:45.600 And they love her.

00:14:47.500 She denounces Canada as racist.

00:14:50.360 She gives the communist regime cover in Hong Kong. 0.98

00:14:53.360 It's so, so gross. 0.82

00:14:55.900 But she seems perfectly aligned with China 0.84

00:14:58.360 on internet censorship, doesn't she? 0.98

00:15:01.300 I love that line.

00:15:02.520 She wants swift and fast justice. 0.98

00:15:04.420 And not enough to do anything about slow justice

00:15:06.940 when she was chief judge.

00:15:09.320 But she doesn't want any of this rule of law stuff 1.00

00:15:11.820 and procedures and evidence stuff

00:15:13.620 where each side gets a chance to make their case

00:15:15.760 and test the other side's case.

00:15:17.140 She doesn't want that. 0.84

00:15:19.400 I mean, that's how it was when she was more Canadian

00:15:22.260 in her approach, maybe.

00:15:23.160 But now that she's more Chinese Communist Party, 0.99

00:15:26.820 she really thinks things can be done in a flash, doesn't she?

00:15:30.180 Just make it happen like a dictatorship does.

00:15:32.180 Let me quote.

00:15:32.840 McLaughlin described the internet

00:15:34.320 as a wonderful but powerful weapon

00:15:36.680 that should be controlled.

00:15:38.060 Quote,

00:15:38.600 We all understand that speech is a wonderful thing.

00:15:41.260 Really, I like it.

00:15:42.760 And should be allowed to be free

00:15:44.380 as long as it's not hurting other people,

00:15:48.640 said McLaughlin.

00:15:49.360 And then you have to impose some limits

00:15:51.020 when it's hurting other people

00:15:52.480 or hurting our democracy, unquote.

00:15:55.520 Our democracy.

00:15:56.600 She's talking about China now or Canada?

00:15:58.640 I got to check.

00:15:59.140 And what does she mean by hurting?

00:16:00.740 Hurting people's feelings?

00:16:03.240 I think that's what she means

00:16:04.620 because you can't actually hurt someone

00:16:06.560 just with a word on the internet.

00:16:09.580 I guess the consequences ultimately

00:16:11.020 would be to shut them down, she says,

00:16:13.360 which happens in non-democratic countries all the time.

00:16:16.860 I mean, I hope that would never happen.

00:16:19.060 I really do, guys.

00:16:19.840 I hope it would never happen.

00:16:20.840 But there is that ultimate issue.

00:16:22.880 If you want to do business,

00:16:24.140 you have to do it responsibly

00:16:25.600 in accordance with our rules.

00:16:27.720 You can put pressure on that way.

00:16:29.940 Oh, my God.

00:16:31.160 She sounds like she's working for Beijing.

00:16:33.620 Did she really just say

00:16:34.880 that's the ultimate outcome?

00:16:37.020 Just taking things down?

00:16:40.260 There's just so much information

00:16:41.760 that people are ready to believe

00:16:43.400 all sorts of things, said McLaughlin.

00:16:45.960 So we now find disinformation

00:16:48.380 can be harnessed to be a very powerful force

00:16:51.200 that can threaten democratic functioning.

00:16:53.640 Wow, so in order to protect democracy,

00:16:56.280 we have to destroy democracy.

00:16:57.940 In order to protect the internet,

00:16:59.220 we have to destroy the internet,

00:17:00.640 especially against disinformation.

00:17:02.720 That's a word that China uses a lot.

00:17:05.760 I mean, I might use that word too.

00:17:07.140 I think it's disinformation

00:17:08.520 to say that Canada is a genocidal regime.

00:17:11.740 I think that hurts democracy to say that,

00:17:14.720 to say we're all racist.

00:17:15.840 I think that's harmful.

00:17:17.820 I'm embarrassed that she's our former chief judge.

00:17:20.100 Instead of spreading liberal democracy to China, 0.98

00:17:22.100 looks like she's trying to spread 1.00

00:17:23.420 Chinese-style censorship over here.

00:17:27.460 And it's working.

00:17:29.600 Stay with us for a moment.

00:17:30.680 Well, I was going to interview Sheila Gunn-Reid,

00:17:44.420 who was on the site today

00:17:45.720 of the Grace Life Church just outside Edmonton

00:17:48.220 when the police rolled in to shut the place down.

00:17:50.900 They had a major raid.

00:17:52.640 But instead of interviewing Sheila after the fact,

00:17:55.320 I want to show you some chunks,

00:17:57.760 some outtakes of my live interview with Sheila,

00:18:01.340 who was there as they were putting up the fence.

00:18:04.360 As you may know, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday,

00:18:06.560 I do a live stream at 12 noon Eastern time.

00:18:09.240 Sheila and David do it Tuesdays and Thursdays.

00:18:11.360 So today, Sheila was on my show. 0.89

00:18:13.540 We actually ran for almost an hour and a half

00:18:15.440 with her on the line, live streaming from the ground.

00:18:18.420 And she sort of gave us a tour of the place

00:18:20.320 and talked to the neighbor and talked to the cops.

00:18:22.100 I'm not going to show you all hour and a half,

00:18:24.740 but here are some of the highlights

00:18:26.560 from my interview with Sheila earlier today.

00:18:29.520 Take a look.

00:18:30.860 Well, you know, I try to follow the rules of engagement

00:18:34.280 of the church here.

00:18:35.440 They're not using the Archer-Pelowski style

00:18:38.200 of police engagement.

00:18:39.640 So I saw a CTV vehicle there.

00:18:42.540 Yeah, there's CTV, there's Global.

00:18:44.640 Yeah.

00:18:45.760 They're probably popping the champagne corp.

00:18:48.200 They're probably absolutely jubilant.

00:18:50.580 They despise this church.

00:18:52.560 They've been cheering on the lockdown

00:18:54.360 since the very beginning.

00:18:56.620 And this is their victory day.

00:18:58.400 This is their anti-Christmas.

00:19:00.520 I mean, this truly,

00:19:01.620 they're wearing their little mass, 0.97

00:19:03.800 satanic running shoes today.

00:19:06.140 They couldn't be happier

00:19:07.300 that a church is being shut down.

00:19:09.280 I mean, they're erotic about it.

00:19:11.800 Well, there's Global.

00:19:14.200 See, you can tell.

00:19:15.280 Oh, there's the guy from CP

00:19:20.580 that had the footage of Dion Buys striking me

00:19:24.460 and then killed it.

00:19:25.400 Do you remember that? 1.00

00:19:26.180 Those are the worst people.

00:19:27.440 I said the Paladin security people 0.98

00:19:30.080 are the worst people in the world.

00:19:31.200 I take that back. 0.98

00:19:32.660 That reporter is.

00:19:33.940 That reporter is.

00:19:34.740 Remember him?

00:19:35.560 Yes, I do.

00:19:36.140 He's the photojournalist.

00:19:37.820 And he said there was no usable footage

00:19:39.660 of the strike of me

00:19:41.160 until we caught him in our footage

00:19:43.420 of Dion Buys hitting me.

00:19:45.640 And then they suddenly miraculously produced it.

00:19:47.920 So all these people right here

00:19:49.180 are people from the church.

00:19:50.880 So that one family there

00:19:53.140 that directly in front of me,

00:19:55.120 they have, I think, eight or nine kids.

00:19:58.020 And this is the church.

00:19:59.180 This is their church.

00:20:00.380 This is the, you know,

00:20:03.040 this is where they go to be together

00:20:04.700 with their community.

00:20:05.580 And the police and Paladin are keeping them out.

00:20:08.960 And usually right in front of me here

00:20:10.540 where all the cops are,

00:20:11.680 this is where the church normally sets up

00:20:14.860 their own perimeter to keep the journalists out.

00:20:18.540 But today now the police have set up a perimeter

00:20:20.820 to keep all the congregants

00:20:23.260 and supporters off the property.

00:20:25.180 And how comfortable do you feel

00:20:26.440 about walking forward until you're stopped?

00:20:29.040 Sure, let's go.

00:20:29.860 Let's see how it goes.

00:20:30.620 Yeah.

00:20:34.420 Oh, here we go.

00:20:36.580 You're getting awful close, though.

00:20:37.900 No, you're getting close, though.

00:20:39.460 Who's the thug?

00:20:40.400 What's his name?

00:20:41.160 Ask him for his name and badge number.

00:20:42.780 That's, sorry,

00:20:43.600 what's your name and badge number?

00:20:46.600 What's his name and badge number?

00:20:49.120 Well, I'm trying,

00:20:49.980 but you're stopping me.

00:20:50.960 Okay, but you can't go on the property now.

00:20:52.500 Okay.

00:20:53.140 Name and badge number.

00:20:54.160 Can you come back

00:20:54.600 and provide his name and badge number to me?

00:20:57.340 No, not if he wants you to.

00:20:58.720 I asked for it.

00:20:59.700 That's fine.

00:21:01.440 What's this guy's name?

00:21:04.200 What's this guy's name?

00:21:04.840 What's your name and badge number?

00:21:05.640 What's your name and badge number, then?

00:21:10.360 You're not going to provide it to me.

00:21:11.800 No, I'm not.

00:21:12.560 I wouldn't either.

00:21:13.620 I mean, you are doing a dawn raid on a church.

00:21:16.840 I wouldn't want my name signed up to that either, I guess.

00:21:19.540 And this is AHS?

00:21:23.500 You're enforcing the AHS court order?

00:21:25.460 The AHS is enforcing the order.

00:21:27.360 Okay. 0.96

00:21:29.940 What a little thug. 0.96

00:21:32.000 Yeah, well, you guys just saw how that's going. 0.96

00:21:35.000 Social distancing, but they get right in my face.

00:21:37.700 Oh, you know, she's over here standing. 1.00

00:21:40.180 Who's that?

00:21:41.140 Who are those?

00:21:42.680 Hmm?

00:21:43.080 Who are those people?

00:21:43.960 These are my friends from Grace Life.

00:21:47.540 This is the gentleman who is usually on the other side of the blockade.

00:21:52.260 Who flags me in in the morning.

00:21:55.180 Took my gate away from me.

00:21:57.380 Exactly.

00:21:58.040 He's crying because they took his gate away.

00:22:00.320 And this gentleman right here, right in front of me,

00:22:03.160 he is the elder who put on that real clinic about how to deal with police.

00:22:07.500 Deacon, technically.

00:22:09.860 Who showed everybody exactly how to deal with the police

00:22:14.780 when they are violating Section 176-2 of the criminal code.

00:22:18.760 Yeah.

00:22:19.600 Well, Sheila, I appreciate you asking them for their name and badge number.

00:22:25.080 I think you're exactly right. 0.99

00:22:26.480 They are cowards. 1.00

00:22:28.020 And they know what they're doing is cowardly. 1.00

00:22:30.460 They know what they're doing is deeply embarrassing.

00:22:33.540 And you're right.

00:22:34.660 If I was that cowardly, I would not want the world to know my name either.

00:22:40.320 If I was part of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

00:22:45.980 And what was I doing today?

00:22:47.920 I was storming a church at dawn, setting up a perimeter, bringing in porta-potties.

00:22:56.620 What a disgrace. 0.97

00:22:58.700 What a disgrace they all are. 0.92

00:23:01.500 Well, and can I tell you just how poorly thought out this all is?

00:23:05.280 So, you can see they've completely blocked off the road.

00:23:10.520 And over here, you can see there's a shared driveway with the church

00:23:16.760 and this piece of private property right here,

00:23:19.400 where the man has his trailer stored and he has a garage.

00:23:22.680 This man can't access his property.

00:23:24.900 The police have it completely blocked off

00:23:27.060 because they're so hell-bent on locking down and raiding a church here.

00:23:35.200 So, there's a guy right there.

00:23:37.060 This guy.

00:23:37.720 I don't know.

00:23:38.080 Maybe we can see his license plate.

00:23:39.780 Let me catch up here. 0.99

00:23:41.740 Ah, darn it. 0.98

00:23:43.820 That guy right there just stopped and yelled at these nice families 0.99

00:23:47.420 who are here watching their church be locked down.

00:23:50.620 That guy in that Chevy.

00:23:52.420 And what did he, did you hear what he said?

00:23:54.800 Oh, he just screamed, ha-ha, like, it's about time.

00:23:57.680 Let me just run up here.

00:23:59.280 You guys are lucky I'm on that treadmill every night.

00:24:01.480 You guys are better than you guys. 1.00

00:24:10.020 Go to the Church of Satan. 0.94

00:24:11.220 Even they follow a mask bylaw.

00:24:13.300 They do?

00:24:14.040 They do.

00:24:14.560 Oh, wow.

00:24:15.200 I didn't know that the Satanists were all in the mask.

00:24:17.440 Oh, yeah.

00:24:17.900 That's cool.

00:24:18.240 Good for them.

00:24:18.600 Check it out, man.

00:24:19.620 That's awesome.

00:24:23.240 Sorry about the swearing there, but that's the level of purgatory.

00:24:25.880 I think he literally praised the Church of Satan.

00:24:28.480 I'm not even kidding.

00:24:29.380 I think he literally gave a shout-out to the Church of Satan.

00:24:33.120 Did I hear that correctly, Sheila?

00:24:35.280 Yes.

00:24:35.740 He said that even the Church of Satan follows masking.

00:24:41.340 And so he said, you creationists, which I don't think they are here,

00:24:45.720 or at least I haven't heard it.

00:24:47.180 Who cares if they are? 0.93

00:24:48.720 But he said, you creationists are worse than the Church of Satan.

00:24:52.800 Well, he was using them as a moral authority, wasn't he?

00:24:55.740 He was saying even them. 0.98

00:24:56.920 So gross. 0.81

00:24:59.900 This really is a battle of good and evil, isn't it? 0.87

00:25:03.040 Like, when I said satanic, I was saying that in the, not a particularly religious,

00:25:08.120 like, what's the opposite of a church?

00:25:11.860 What's the opposite of people going to pray?

00:25:14.220 I was using it more as an antonym.

00:25:16.500 But that guy, no baloney, really referred to the satanic church or whatever.

00:25:22.820 He really said that.

00:25:24.100 I was saying it as a, you know, as a metaphor or a literal style.

00:25:30.640 He referred to the Church of Satan as his moral guideline on masks.

00:25:35.660 Yeah, I mean, and you're exactly right when you say it is a battle of good and evil.

00:25:42.640 It is, you know, for these Christians behind me, it's the battle that they were promised, right?

00:25:48.420 I'm sorry if I'm shaking.

00:25:49.340 It's quite cold.

00:25:49.860 But, I mean, he drove by, cackled at families of children standing in the cold in despair watching their church being locked down,

00:25:59.840 shouted his pleasure at seeing a church locked down, which indeed is satanic,

00:26:05.680 and then used the Church of Satan as his moral authority when it comes to mask laws.

00:26:11.280 I mean, this is what we're dealing with here. 0.88

00:26:13.080 Yeah, that's extremely, extremely gross.

00:26:16.180 This here, this is the guy who owns the garage, and he's trying to get in to his own property. 1.00

00:26:27.180 Imagine if these stupid cops keep him out. 1.00

00:26:30.160 What an incredible thing that would be. 1.00

00:26:32.920 These bullies, these cowards who won't even show you their name and face. 1.00

00:26:37.380 Are they so dumb as to keep this man out from his own property? 1.00

00:26:43.080 I don't understand. 1.00

00:26:46.620 Like, this guy just wants to use his own garage.

00:26:49.060 But they are so hell-bent on locking up this church that they're willing to violate this guy's property rights, too.

00:26:55.020 See, this man attends the church, and he's saying right now to this, I don't know if he's a security guard or a plainclothes cop,

00:27:18.280 but he's saying to them, after this is all over, you're welcome to come to the church.

00:27:23.160 So that's the kind of hearts and minds of the people at the church here,

00:27:28.300 that they are truly hearts full of forgiveness.

00:27:31.280 They're not vindictive.

00:27:32.440 They just know that they're staring down evil, and they are willing to forgive even those who trespass against them.

00:27:42.600 Well, this will be interesting, because will they literally keep this man away from his home?

00:27:52.220 Now, that's a pretty serious truck there.

00:27:54.460 It looks like the ditch is a little mushy.

00:27:57.360 I wouldn't want to take this truck into the ditch.

00:28:00.080 But that's got a serious engine under there. 0.99

00:28:02.500 What's that, a 250?

00:28:04.440 Ford F-250 or something?

00:28:06.080 What kind of vehicle is that?

00:28:08.240 Well, it's a six, seven liter power stroke.

00:28:10.260 It's a 350, so this guy will be fine.

00:28:12.340 Yeah, that's a pretty serious vehicle there.

00:28:14.480 You know your trucks.

00:28:17.840 He could probably go through the field.

00:28:20.000 I just would worry it would be too mushy from...

00:28:23.540 Ah, it looks like he just washed it.

00:28:25.680 Oh, yeah, that's right.

00:28:27.000 I mean, like, I wouldn't want him to get stuck.

00:28:29.000 He could drive through.

00:28:30.020 I wonder if they'll let him go to his own property.

00:28:34.480 I guess we're going to find out.

00:28:35.740 Yeah, it's madness that they wouldn't.

00:28:38.560 It shows just how unlawful, disorganized...

00:28:42.880 They're letting him in.

00:28:44.920 ...and abusive these police are.

00:28:46.920 Imagine having a check stop at your own property.

00:28:51.420 So that man, as he drove past, I don't know if you heard that,

00:28:54.280 but he said, everybody's welcome on our land,

00:28:57.640 including you, Press, and he pointed at me.

00:28:59.680 You mean the guy in the pickup there?

00:29:05.140 In the pickup.

00:29:05.940 So they're letting him go in, and he's...

00:29:08.600 It looks like he's a veteran.

00:29:09.620 He's got a Legion plate and then a support our troops plate.

00:29:12.580 Well, if he just said you're welcome to go onto his property,

00:29:15.020 why don't you go?

00:29:16.540 I am.

00:29:16.960 Maybe get a ride with him.

00:29:20.500 Oh, gosh.

00:29:21.620 He said I can go onto his property. 0.93

00:29:24.540 Yeah, you're damn straight. 0.88

00:29:26.440 Keep walking. 0.78

00:29:27.380 Keep walking.

00:29:28.440 I got permission from the landowner.

00:29:30.220 Keep walking. 0.98

00:29:31.800 Those paladin thugs. 1.00

00:29:34.460 Keep walking. 0.99

00:29:35.600 There you go.

00:29:37.320 There you go.

00:29:38.500 We don't bend the knee to Satan's army.

00:29:41.880 There you go.

00:29:42.880 Look at you now.

00:29:44.220 Exactly.

00:29:45.020 Who is that friendly fellow?

00:29:46.520 Let's say hi to him.

00:29:47.800 Let's say hi and thank you.

00:29:50.780 Let's say hi and thank you.

00:29:51.940 Who is this friendly guy?

00:29:54.640 Give him a wave.

00:29:57.060 Give him a wave and a holler.

00:29:58.480 Introduce yourself neighborly-like.

00:30:00.880 I will.

00:30:02.100 Let's get out of his truck.

00:30:05.720 Oh, my gosh.

00:30:07.660 I'm having fun.

00:30:08.960 And how much battery juice do you have on your phone?

00:30:11.340 Because we've been yapping at you for almost an hour.

00:30:13.720 Are you okay?

00:30:14.740 Yeah, I think we're okay for a little bit.

00:30:17.480 Give him a wave.

00:30:18.120 Who's that friendly guy?

00:30:22.920 Hey.

00:30:24.640 I do kind of go here.

00:30:26.420 Hi.

00:30:26.740 How are you?

00:30:28.300 Are we going to hug?

00:30:29.200 So, hey, you got it.

00:30:35.940 So, you're live right now with Ezra, by the way.

00:30:38.660 You know, I was telling the plainclothes believing officer, staff sergeant, who said that we talked

00:30:45.700 about the screening here.

00:30:46.720 And I told him, I think the last time I saw that kind of screening was on the Carla Homolka

00:30:50.780 house in Ontario, where they murdered those two young girls.

00:30:54.180 I think that's the last time, and then they bulldozed the house.

00:30:57.300 So, I don't know if that's what's happening here, or they're planning to bulldoze the church.

00:31:01.380 I don't know if you could hear that, Ezra.

00:31:03.180 Could you hear that?

00:31:03.880 I did.

00:31:04.520 Say hello to the gentleman from me and give him my best regards.

00:31:08.220 It's just a dark time when churches are being fenced off.

00:31:14.140 It's terrible.

00:31:15.080 And they didn't even think this through, that they blocked access to your property because

00:31:20.480 they're just so eager to prevent the church from gathering.

00:31:23.660 I know.

00:31:24.740 I don't know what to say.

00:31:26.080 It's just, it's just, I woke up with a headache when I got my messages this morning.

00:31:31.040 I thought, this can't be happening in Canada.

00:31:33.360 No, it's shocking.

00:31:34.900 I'm supposed to send my best regards from Ezra, and thank you for letting me on the

00:31:39.040 property end.

00:31:39.840 You're welcome all the time.

00:31:41.000 Thank you.

00:31:41.860 We should invite everybody over to the property here, and we can have prayers this morning.

00:31:47.760 We'll open up the doors.

00:31:49.560 It's not heated, but it's going to be okay.

00:31:51.680 Okay.

00:31:52.300 All right.

00:31:52.740 Thanks, Sheila.

00:31:53.280 Thanks.

00:31:55.220 Well, isn't that amazing?

00:31:57.520 Opening the doors there, because I looked at the order that is affixed to the,

00:32:04.460 first of all, Sheila, that took guts.

00:32:06.660 Thank you for doing that, and you're cool as a cucumber the whole time.

00:32:10.420 You're darn straight.

00:32:12.100 And I read the order affixed to the door of the church, and it very clearly only refers 0.94

00:32:20.680 to those premises.

00:32:22.280 It doesn't refer to this guy's premises.

00:32:25.520 And you heard him.

00:32:26.400 I heard him.

00:32:27.140 First of all, he was very thoughtful, very perceptive.

00:32:32.120 I was touched by what he said.

00:32:35.180 He attends the church.

00:32:36.400 I see him every week.

00:32:37.840 Oh, yeah.

00:32:38.680 And his comments about the last time he saw this kind of a police deployment was for the

00:32:44.600 serial killer, Carla Homolko.

00:32:47.640 And are they going to bulldoze this church, too?

00:32:50.120 You know, I know he said that ironically or sarcastically or sardonically, but really that's

00:32:56.480 only one degree further than what we are right now.

00:32:59.960 And you heard the man.

00:33:01.280 He said, everyone, welcome here. 0.96

00:33:03.400 I don't know if he means right now, but the order that those cowardly thugs are enforcing, 0.94

00:33:09.360 and I call them cowardly because they won't say their name or give their badge number. 0.97

00:33:13.460 Those cowardly thugs claim to have authority to lock down the church, and they claim their 0.98

00:33:23.020 authority is that order affixed to the door of the church. 0.98

00:33:26.480 Justin, I don't know if you can manifest that order.

00:33:29.040 Do you have that picture?

00:33:29.860 Maybe Efron can give it to you.

00:33:31.160 Just we could put it on the screen there.

00:33:32.880 It's not that important.

00:33:33.660 I just want to show it.

00:33:35.260 That order does not apply to this man's house now, does it?

00:33:38.620 Does not apply to his garage.

00:33:40.160 It looks like they are now erecting fence just to the other side of his driveway so that

00:33:49.200 he can continue to access his garage, but they really want to make sure that nobody gets

00:33:53.460 on church property.

00:33:56.940 Who are these guys?

00:33:58.620 Like, who's that guy?

00:34:00.960 Because we saw the truck, the trucks leave the fencing truck.

00:34:05.000 Yeah, well, there's another fencing truck right there.

00:34:07.400 There's another fencing truck.

00:34:08.340 Just for one second, we're going to put on screen for one second the order.

00:34:13.620 Alberta Health Services had ordered this premises closed to the Public Grace Life Church of

00:34:18.580 Edmonton.

00:34:19.060 Thank you, Justin.

00:34:20.180 I just wanted to show it.

00:34:21.500 So the church is closed, not the neighbor's house, not the road to the neighbor's house.

00:34:28.080 These police have no authority there, although it hasn't stopped them before now, has it?

00:34:33.720 No.

00:34:34.760 No.

00:34:35.340 Well, look at that.

00:34:35.780 I saw another journalist follow your courage and go down the road.

00:34:39.320 As always, you're ahead of the pack.

00:34:43.000 Oh, no.

00:34:43.580 That's not another journalist.

00:34:44.940 That's Jimmy.

00:34:45.640 He's the videographer from the church.

00:34:47.440 Oh, I see.

00:34:48.200 I see.

00:34:48.600 I see.

00:34:49.000 And now there's the owner.

00:34:50.320 There's the owner going out.

00:34:51.680 Go see what he has to say. 1.00

00:34:52.980 He's probably going to give a tongue lashing to these dirty cops. 0.99

00:34:55.920 And I call them dirty because I don't think they're following the law about disclosing 0.99

00:35:00.200 their identity.

00:35:01.880 Why would you do that?

00:35:03.540 Block it off here if you don't want anybody going to the church for whatever reason.

00:35:07.520 Well, we're...

00:35:08.120 It doesn't make any sense.

00:35:09.340 We're blocking up right down the middle.

00:35:11.480 Giving you that half.

00:35:12.460 So why can't you go across the driveway and along the grass?

00:35:17.380 Give me the drive so we can't close it.

00:35:19.500 We don't want to get called by and get pretty quick when this is right now.

00:35:22.620 We've got to reseed it.

00:35:25.080 We did go across the driveway and down the grass.

00:35:28.940 It makes no sense.

00:35:31.040 Don't be legalist.

00:35:32.100 Right now, that's where the fence is going to go.

00:35:37.240 If you have an issue...

00:35:37.920 Is it your call?

00:35:38.680 It's not my call.

00:35:39.880 You'll have to talk to Kevin McGillery at the park on the back.

00:35:47.320 He's essentially my boss.

00:35:52.520 I'm a corporal.

00:35:55.340 Hi, a little.

00:35:57.320 Not hi, hi.

00:35:59.300 So this is in your side, man.

00:36:02.100 Oh, yeah.

00:36:03.320 Well, thank you.

00:36:04.500 So this is going to obstruct your use of your property.

00:36:07.520 That's in your property.

00:36:07.940 Why are you allowing it?

00:36:09.880 Yeah, that's in your property.

00:36:11.240 That should be on the ground.

00:36:13.240 Why?

00:36:13.760 Why is it there?

00:36:21.380 Yeah, like, Ian, that's too close to your road.

00:36:23.920 You're going to have to tear it down.

00:36:25.660 You're going to tear it down.

00:36:27.040 Huh?

00:36:27.440 I will tear it down.

00:36:27.980 Yeah.

00:36:28.260 You're going to tear it down?

00:36:29.520 Well, I will if you want to.

00:36:30.780 Yeah.

00:36:32.100 You're going to tear it down.

00:36:37.980 Unreal.

00:36:39.280 They're trespassing.

00:36:40.620 They're trespassing on his property.

00:36:43.640 Yeah, you guys are trespassing.

00:36:45.560 And this man just told the RCMP corporal here, you're putting this on my land and you're,

00:37:00.080 he said, I have to get a combine in here.

00:37:02.500 So, like, I don't know if you can see this and if you're familiar with the turning radius

00:37:06.940 of a combine, but he can't get in and out.

00:37:09.800 They're obstructing his ability to lose, to use his own property.

00:37:12.980 I don't know if you want to talk to the truth possibly, but not on my property.

00:37:15.980 It's not property.

00:37:17.260 We're going to cut it.

00:37:18.860 We were told the property line right here.

00:37:20.800 No, the property line is right there.

00:37:23.900 Well, four feet from the...

00:37:25.260 Thank you.

00:37:26.260 You can now go fast.

00:37:27.200 No, I don't have a survey.

00:37:31.320 That's why the asphalt stopped.

00:37:35.080 Right there?

00:37:36.660 Yeah.

00:37:37.160 Yeah, but put your blockade across the road so I can get my equipment.

00:37:52.540 I just thought that you're concerned that you didn't want to travel on the outside.

00:38:14.000 All right, so what would you come with me here?

00:38:17.380 Go right across the road.

00:38:19.160 What a gong show. 0.62

00:38:25.960 Yeah. 1.00

00:38:26.300 What a bunch of clowns. 1.00

00:38:27.600 I don't know who's stupider. 1.00

00:38:28.660 The cowardly RCMP officer, the fence builder, Jason Kenney, Tyler Shandro, Casey Madu, Alberta 1.00

00:38:35.120 Health Services, little tyrants. 1.00

00:38:37.260 They're all clowns and cowards. 1.00

00:38:40.740 Alberta's motto is strong and free. 1.00

00:38:43.100 That's false advertising today.

00:38:44.960 Imagine coming and just throwing up a fence on a private property owner's land who incidentally

00:38:54.520 attends the church, but he doesn't own the property.

00:38:58.940 Like he owns his own property here and they don't even have the land survey.

00:39:03.680 They have no idea where the property...

00:39:05.760 Right now, it's a private property.

00:39:07.500 Here we go.

00:39:07.900 Off the property.

00:39:08.660 He's kicking the media off.

00:39:10.060 Perfect.

00:39:11.180 They're the worst.

00:39:14.060 Scram, get out. 0.99

00:39:15.780 Satan, out.

00:39:19.120 I'm joking around.

00:39:20.220 I was channeling Arthur Pawlowski.

00:39:22.460 I loved how he drove his trespassers out. 0.83

00:39:25.960 Get these little thugs out. 0.83

00:39:27.340 Get out. 0.97

00:39:28.620 Get out.

00:39:33.580 But when you hate a church, what is that but satanic?

00:39:36.520 Is that not the technical, physical, mathematical definition of satanic?

00:39:41.480 If you hate a church, if you're trying to blockade a church, is that not actually a secular definition

00:39:48.080 of satanic?

00:39:48.820 Report the party line.

00:39:53.920 Can't think for themselves.

00:40:06.860 Right on.

00:40:08.620 Right on.

00:40:09.940 I think someone should call the cops to get the trespassers off.

00:40:15.880 Because there's some trespassers here.

00:40:17.780 I think you've got to call the cops.

00:40:18.820 Well, how do they do this without even knowing where the property line is?

00:40:25.700 How do you?

00:40:26.860 I don't understand.

00:40:28.000 Go ask them.

00:40:31.780 I don't think they can arrest you for asking a question, Sheila.

00:40:34.760 So did nobody pull a property survey before they started putting up fences?

00:40:44.860 So we'll check it out there.

00:40:48.080 She's going to ignore me.

00:40:52.720 Sheila, you're so much more polite than me.

00:40:54.640 Thank God you're out there rather than me.

00:41:04.400 Well, that's our show for today.

00:41:10.020 What do you think?

00:41:10.580 I'm stunned.

00:41:11.260 I've known Jason Kenney for more than 20 years.

00:41:13.460 And I always knew him as one of the most Christian and pro-religious freedom politicians in Canada.

00:41:18.620 When he was in the federal cabinet, he created the Office for Religious Liberty.

00:41:25.280 It had a different name than that, but that's what its purpose was.

00:41:27.640 To promote religious freedom around the world.

00:41:31.000 And now he's crushing churches in Alberta.

00:41:34.240 I just don't get it.

00:41:34.960 That's the same church, of course, where they arrested the pastor and threw him in prison for 35 days.

00:41:39.220 Something is deeply wrong in Alberta, and I found it incredible.

00:41:42.300 I'd be interested in your point of view.

00:41:44.400 Feel free to send me an email at Ezra at rebelnews.com

00:41:47.440 or put a comment beneath this video.

00:41:49.460 Until tomorrow, on behalf of all of us here at Rebel World Headquarters,

00:41:52.820 to you and all, good night.

00:41:54.280 Keep fighting for freedom.

00:41:55.160 We'll see you next time.

00:42:16.580 We'll see you next time.
