Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LEVANT ｜ The Best and Worst of College Hamas encampments

00:00:00.000 Tonight, the best and worst of college Hamas encampments. It's May 6th and this is the Ezra 1.00

00:00:21.440 LeVant Show.

00:00:37.760 Hi everybody, I'm actually in Dublin, Ireland. Look at that iconic castle-like gate behind

00:00:43.680 me. I'm here doing a story that will bring you tomorrow about a very large anti-immigration

00:00:51.200 march in this city. If you think Justin Trudeau is out of control in Canada with immigration, 0.73

00:00:56.720 will you hear about Ireland? So it's been a great day. You can see the sun is sort of setting.

00:01:02.400 So while I'm here working, I want to bring to you a compilation, a medley, if I may,

00:01:08.560 of some of the best and worst footage coverage that we've done over the last few weeks of these

00:01:13.520 Hamas-style sympathizer, terrorist, anti-Semitic things that have been breaking out like measles

00:01:21.760 across universities, not just in Canada but in the United States and elsewhere from UBC to U of T to

00:01:28.960 TMU to Colombia to the Fashion Institute of Technology. We've had eyes on a ton of them.

00:01:36.480 McGill also, our friend Alexa Lavoie out there. So for the course of the next half hour,

00:01:41.840 here's the best and worst of Hamas encampments. I'll be back in Canada tomorrow and you don't 1.00

00:01:48.720 want to miss my coverage from here in Dublin of the anti-immigration march. Till then,

00:01:53.600 enjoy this coverage of a very difficult and challenging subject, namely these foreign-funded,

00:02:02.000 radical-directed, non-student-driven student protests.

00:02:10.400 Alexa Lavoie reporting for Rebel News here on the ground at McGill University where entire

00:02:17.280 Israel protesters have occupied the campus with their encampment for six days. Tensions have escalated

00:02:26.240 with reports of intimidation and anti-Semitic chants on campus.

00:02:39.840 Police have separated the two groups by closing off some of the access to the property where the

00:02:49.040 encampment is located. Now let's speak with people on the ground and let's see what they have to say to me today.

00:03:07.600 This isn't daycare, this is higher education. McGill is a university. You want to talk, you want to have

00:03:13.520 dialogue, you want to have discussion. There's no pushing, there's no shoving, there's no name-calling,

00:03:18.880 there's no throwing. That's what university is about. Get back to class, this isn't daycare.

00:03:24.080 The people on the other side of the fence inside McGill have been taken advantage of and some of them

00:03:29.280 are very cynically trying to advocate for the genocide of the Israeli and Jewish people. Professional

00:03:36.960 agitators have taken over my alma mater. I went to McGill and to see it taken over by professional

00:03:44.320 agitators and who are now monopolizing our entire discourse of our province, all of a sudden taken

00:03:51.920 over, hijacked by people who don't know the difference between Hamas and hummus. As a student who

00:03:58.880 is soon entering the university system, I don't know what to expect but we are here today to show that we

00:04:04.000 are proud. We will not stand down. We have a country. This is not 1939 anymore. These people

00:04:09.360 in the encampment, they're doing illegal things. They don't have the right to set camp on McGill campus.

00:04:15.920 They're standing for something wrong. They're clearly anti-Semitic. I think it's a really important 1.00

00:04:20.880 thing to stand up for who we are. We have thousands of years of history. We're peaceful, loving people who

00:04:28.720 only want good for others. We have been persecuted for centuries for absolutely no reason but being

00:04:34.720 Jewish. I feel it's important that the leaders of any municipality such as mine who are of the Jewish

00:04:41.120 faith and even of any other faith should be here to show that we support Israel. We support the Jewish

00:04:48.880 people and it's literally a shame that Jewish people have to hear death to the Jews, gas the Jews. It's 1.00

00:04:57.760 disgusting. I think it's too long for them to to occupy the campus. We're proud Jews and we have to 0.95

00:05:05.120 stand out for our people and you know the fact that wealthy educated people who go to a beautiful

00:05:10.080 institution or a once beautiful institution called McGill are protesting on behalf of Hamas, a terrorist 0.95

00:05:15.360 organization and these people pretend to be preoccupied with women's rights, gay rights, LGBTQ rights and

00:05:21.280 then stand for Hamas after the atrocities they committed on October 7th. It's a testament to how 0.96

00:05:25.760 morally decadent our society has become. There is no stoppage on the Jewish students going on to 1.00

00:05:29.760 courses. What are you talking about? The camp is here. It's not blocking anybody's way. All the students

00:05:36.800 they are very they are free to go wherever they want and they are going. Actually it's not in the

00:05:41.120 end of the term, okay? So the second thing, even if it were at the middle of the term, the second

00:05:47.440 semester, I'm sure the people who are camping here they are not making any blockages against anybody

00:05:54.320 attending any courses. We stood far away from them. We didn't interrupt them. We didn't do anything. We

00:05:59.280 didn't say anything. We actually had a conversation, a nice conversation with someone from there. Once they

00:06:06.320 recognized us, the entire crowd, they just came to us. About 20 jihadists, 25 jihadists came to us,

00:06:13.680 surrounded us, surrounded me specifically and started to scream, go back to Europe. All the Zionists are 1.00

00:06:20.880 racist and they were screaming go back to Europe for about five minutes and I told them, guys, my family 0.97

00:06:29.040 is from Iraq. I'm not even from Europe. So they say, go back to Iraq. The problem is that Jews cannot go to

00:06:35.120 Iraq. Jews cannot be in Iraq anymore. 0.86

00:06:44.640 How do you feel to see people like actually walking and trampling the Israeli flag?

00:06:50.800 I am not intimidated. They can do what they have to do, but we're not going to stoop to their level

00:06:56.800 and let's just get them out of here. Eventually Montreal enforcement are going to come once the

00:07:02.480 McGillen Junction is going to kick in and this whole encampment is going to be done. But yes,

00:07:07.680 no, I'm not intimidated.

00:07:08.880 Michael Van here for Rebel News. I am in Vancouver for other business and I had a meeting

00:07:14.400 at the University of British Columbia today and I walked by and one of these U.S. style,

00:07:20.480 foreign-funded, professionally organized, pro-Hamas protest encampments has popped up

00:07:27.200 in the heart of the university. Now, final exams are over. Most of the students have vacated the

00:07:33.520 university. But behind me, every ragamuffin around, including, I emphasize the professional organizers, 0.72

00:07:41.040 there's a terrorist group called Samidun. It's a pro-Palestinian terrorist group similar to Hamas.

00:07:48.720 It's regarded as a criminal terrorist organization in other countries such as Germany. Because Justin Trudeau is

00:07:55.520 our prime minister, it's not banned here in Canada. And one of the Samidun organizers is behind this. 1.00

00:08:02.240 Of course, foreign funding, of course, professional Antifa funding. I tried to talk to some of the

00:08:07.920 folks here. Obviously, as soon as they see a camera, they say, who are you? And they try and block it.

00:08:13.200 I think he's right. It shows how thin-skinned you are.

00:08:16.160 Just like my experience at Columbia and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City,

00:08:26.720 and the experience of my colleagues across the country, these folks really don't

00:08:30.240 have a lot of arguments. They're more cult members who delegate the communicating to the senior

00:08:35.360 organizers. And many of them are professional haters from Antifa or whatnot. As I was walking by,

00:08:43.200 two people just on the street recognized me, partly because I'm wearing a Rebel News shirt.

00:08:49.920 And they came up and talked to me. Here, I'll show you how those conversations went.

00:08:53.520 I'm here at UBC with Joe.

00:08:55.520 Hello.

00:08:55.840 Hello.

00:08:56.320 Joe, tell me about yourself and what it's like being on campus with the, I don't know,

00:09:01.360 the Palestinian protests these days.

00:09:03.520 Well, I mean, I'm a fourth-year major in poli-sci. I'm graduating this year. And since October 7th,

00:09:08.320 and the horrible massacre of all the Jewish people there, I was actually in the kibbutz that got 0.85

00:09:12.400 massacred in August in Israel, Karzah. And it's just been an environment of intimidation and

00:09:19.440 harassment towards anything that's not matching their views, essentially. It's just been horrible.

00:09:26.080 They've been harassing Jewish students, chanting intifada, revolution, calling for basically terrorist

00:09:32.160 acts. And it's just like a horrible environment for campus. And now they've set up this encampment,

00:09:36.400 which just will serve to further intimidate Jewish students and those who feel like they need to 0.98

00:09:41.760 speak out.

00:09:42.160 Are you a student here?

00:09:43.280 I'm not a student. I'm a parent of a student, and I live on campus.

00:09:46.560 Oh, yeah. And how do you feel about this encampment here?

00:09:50.000 Well, same as I feel about the rest of the encampments. It's horrifying. It's anarchy. It's

00:09:55.040 hateful. It's not doing good to anyone. So, yeah, I'm, I'm appalled that the university is not doing

00:10:02.640 anything like many other universities, and I hope they will speak up.

00:10:07.840 Are you Jewish yourself?

00:10:08.880 No, I am not.

00:10:10.000 How do the non-Jewish students feel about this? There's a lot of international students.

00:10:14.400 Are most students here just sort of notes to the grindstone do their studying, or is this a

00:10:19.120 political kind of campus?

00:10:20.720 I would say that UBC is kind of a more science campus, so it's a little less involved. Most

00:10:25.680 students are notes to the grindstone. We have quite a large, like, international population that's not as

00:10:29.600 interested in this. But, um, so it's a small population on both sides that is doing all the

00:10:33.680 advocacy and political work.

00:10:35.200 I can see that Ryerson is getting proactive. They don't want those shenanigans on campus,

00:10:43.360 clearly. And, uh, so far nobody has scaled the fence, uh, to erect, uh, an illegal campout.

00:10:53.120 Genocide! Shut it down! Genocide! Shut it down!

00:10:59.040 Israel is a parasite! Israel is a racist state! Israel is a racist state! 1.00

00:11:04.960 Hey, hey! Ho, ho! The occupation's got to go! Hey, hey! Ho, ho! The occupation's got to go! 1.00

00:11:12.960 We are not anti-Semitic! We are not anti-Semitic! That excuse is so pathetic! That excuse is so pathetic!

00:11:21.760 But, you know, isn't the irony perverse? I am sure the woke people here at Ryerson, 0.99

00:11:29.760 they would hate the fact of the U.S. developing a Trump-style wall on the southern border to keep

00:11:38.160 the illegals out. Uh, and I'm including the administration there. And yet, when it comes to 0.64

00:11:44.160 preserving their own backyard, oh no! You riff-raff, you stay out. You're not going to stage your little

00:11:53.200 mini-crystal knocks on our campus. Free! Free Palestine! Free! Free Palestine! Free! Free! Free! 0.89

00:12:01.120 The University of Ottawa has a group of students that is joining a broader trend that's growing across

00:12:06.720 universities in the English-speaking world. We've seen similar protests at New York University,

00:12:11.760 at Columbia University, also here in Canada, we've seen it at McGill University, where demonstrators

00:12:17.200 who we can broadly say, let's say, are pro-Palestine or anti-Israel are aggregating and agitating against

00:12:23.440 what they call war crimes or genocide being perpetrated by Israel against Palestinians in

00:12:29.040 Gaza and in the West Bank. The protesters are demanding that university administrators disclose

00:12:35.760 and divest from any sort of financial overlap or tie to interests or persons related to Israel.

00:12:44.240 The protesters have a sort of BDS-style series of demands. BDS being the acronym for boycott,

00:12:51.120 divestment, and sanction against Israel. So the demand is to disclose and divest. The protesters want

00:12:59.040 the university administration to disclose all of its investments, and any of them that may relate to

00:13:04.720 Israel should be terminated. Not long after I attended this demonstration, a minder for this 1.00

00:13:12.000 protest began to advise all the demonstrators that I was a right-wing chud and I was an agitator. 0.53

00:13:18.800 Essentially everyone there obeyed their master's orders and refused to talk to me at all despite my

00:13:24.560 good faith sincere invitation for these people to share their remarks as to why they're there, what they

00:13:30.080 sought to achieve, what their goals are, what their perception is of the ongoing conflict in and around

00:13:35.840 Israel. There was one exception, one older Arabic man who shared some remarks with me, but other than

00:13:41.680 that, once this minder, middle-aged white man got his message out as to who I am according to him, he had

00:13:51.120 quick obedience from essentially everyone in the protest. Would you want to do an interview with me on

00:13:55.920 camera, tell us why you're here and what the purpose of the demonstration is about?

00:14:03.440 Maybe you want to share your name or your rationale for being here? All right, how about you? Would you

00:14:08.720 want to talk to me for a few moments, tell our audience why you're here, what the motivation for

00:14:12.000 the demonstration is? My name is Robert Krejcik, I'm with Rebel News. I'm with Rebel News.

00:14:18.560 Okay. They're far right-wing people. Well, I mean, I can speak for myself, but...

00:14:24.400 They're the people who are involved with the convoys. Are you saying sorry to me or saying sorry to him?

00:14:29.440 No, actually, I listen to him because I'm with them. I'm here just because I want to stop the genocide

00:14:36.560 from Israel's side, okay? Okay. Yeah. Anything else you want to say about that? Like, what's the purpose of the

00:14:43.280 demonstration? How does this demonstration seek to end what you describe as a genocide? Okay, because

00:14:48.080 the Israel government, they pay for every media, okay? Like your media or whatever, if they pay you

00:14:56.080 or not, but I'm sure they pay... We're not being paid by Israel. Who's? Wait, for whom? AIPAC? We're not

00:15:03.120 paid by AIPAC or Israel. No? No. Why they refuse to talk to you? I can't explain why this guy will do what he's

00:15:12.720 doing. I can just answer your own questions on my own behalf. Anyway, we are here to stop genocide

00:15:17.200 in Gaza. We are here to ask for freedom for Christian people. We are here for peace, okay?

00:15:25.200 Well, give me it straight up. You guys seem like regular guys. Yeah, I mean, if you ask me,

00:15:30.800 it's not my favorite thing in the world. You know, I'm not going to say you can't protest, but I think

00:15:35.440 that it's honestly like they're just disrupting so much, to be quite honest. It's just like finals are all

00:15:41.920 messed up. Classes are messed up. We're going virtual, stuff like that. These things have just

00:15:45.840 like... It just kind of stresses the regular student out, like especially with like the football on top

00:15:50.880 of it. We're like going, doing this and that, and this is all going on. We have to worry about whether

00:15:55.360 we can get in through this gate, that gate. We're all closed off. It's like... It kind of feels like

00:15:59.920 we don't have our own... It's not our school anymore, in a way. Let me ask you this. I know that

00:16:05.120 there's protests, but then there's been some, what I would call, anti-Semitic actions.

00:16:11.360 Are you aware of any Jewish kids or other kids who think, I don't want to even go to school

00:16:15.440 anymore because I feel like it's not my place? That's what all the professors... That's why we're

00:16:20.400 all doing a bunch of virtual stuff now because these Jewish kids are scared. That's the problem. 0.92

00:16:26.720 I think it's all great when people express their rights and stuff like that, but I feel like this is

00:16:32.320 just taking a step forward. Just step a little too far. The anti-Semitic stuff is just not cool.

00:16:38.320 You know, I didn't go to a gorgeous school like this. I went to a good school. I'm not putting

00:16:42.960 down my school in any way, but seeing this beautiful place and just... I'm sort of homesick for what I

00:16:49.680 didn't have, you know? And what's on my mind is these guys getting an amazing opportunity and using

00:16:57.200 it for this instead. That's what... And I'm not even from here, but I feel that way.

00:17:02.000 Yeah. I clearly agree.

00:17:03.200 Yeah. Our dad also, he's from Africa, immigrated here when he was 17. And he went to college here

00:17:09.920 and he thinks the same thing. He thinks sort of like just a bunch of, I'd say probably privileged

00:17:14.240 kids that don't really know a whole lot about the situation, that they're just there to fight and be

00:17:19.120 in something, I guess. And so these kids are just using this money from the school, from banks and

00:17:25.840 from their parents and stuff like that, and kind of just wasting it away and just kind of

00:17:29.680 just using it towards something that just they could do in another way.

00:17:37.120 We all commit to remain grounded in why we enter the space. Can journalists go in there?

00:17:42.880 No. The students are asking that journalists listen to the press conference over there and there will be an

00:17:47.440 opportunity to ask questions over there from the students who are participating in the encampment.

00:17:52.160 Now, there's probably like a hundred reporters, so I don't think it's likely that I'd be able to

00:17:56.480 get my questions. I'm just here to de-escalate. I don't actually know why you're filming me.

00:17:59.920 I'm just here to de-escalate and help keep everyone calm. Your best... I'm so calm, I'm almost asleep.

00:18:04.480 Your best opportunity for talking to the students is to go over there. You can ask questions at the press briefing.

00:18:09.920 No, we're sorry. You're pressed. You have a microphone.

00:18:12.880 It's my microphone.

00:18:14.480 You gotta leave. That guy's a Jew. 1.00

00:18:16.080 Okay, just like that, you gotta go. You gotta leave. That's also against our

00:18:19.280 community guidelines. No, I'm just a Jew. Thank you.

00:18:21.360 No, you gotta get out of here. You gotta get out of here.

00:18:24.000 Thanks a lot. You gotta get out of here.

00:18:25.920 They won't let me in because I'm a Jew, and they won't let you in because you don't. 0.91

00:18:29.120 Because I'm anti-Semitic.

00:18:30.560 They really have both ends of this thing covered.

00:18:34.960 That's the world, and we know that we are on the right side of the issue.

00:18:38.640 They've been standing strong with their fellow students and are committed to

00:18:46.880 standing in solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestinians more largely.

00:18:50.000 I think what the students here are trying to do is remind the world that there's a genocide

00:18:54.880 happening in Gaza. Our politicians, our president even seems to continue to try to take attention

00:19:01.440 away from that and attention away from his act of complicity in arming Israel and engaging in this 0.87

00:19:06.560 genocide. And the fact that these students have gotten their attention, I think, is incredibly

00:19:11.680 impressive and hopefully will pressure them to put their attention back to the people of Gaza.

00:19:16.480 I'm Alexa Lavois reporting live from Montreal. And behind me, you can see anti-Israel encampment

00:19:24.960 located at McGill University where students and supporters have decided to occupy the area

00:19:32.640 to call for the institution to completely sever ties with Israel.

00:19:43.680 This is the first of its kind in Canada.

00:19:47.840 Are you a student at McGill?

00:19:49.760 Yeah.

00:19:50.240 How do you feel to see your campus being taken in a stage by pro-Hamas, anti-Israel protesters?

00:20:00.640 I mean, we've seen this in the US and some places, some universities have reacted really poorly.

00:20:05.760 Some people have allowed police to take the measures, you know, that are necessary.

00:20:10.080 This morning, McGill sent out an email to all students and faculty saying that the encampment violates

00:20:15.280 the student code of conduct and would not be allowed. And now they're refusing to act on it.

00:20:18.800 They're refusing to allow police presence on campus. So McGill refuses to protect their students.

00:20:25.360 I was currently like I was just studying for my finals in the library and I could hear them.

00:20:31.120 So I can't be a productive student here. And it's not a safe environment for me because every time

00:20:36.720 I walk, I'm harassed. I'm followed. People scream at me. People know who I am because I'm a Jewish student

00:20:42.720 at McGill. And I'm vocal about it. So I'm constantly harassed on this campus and McGill administration

00:20:47.520 refuses to do anything about it or to protect their Jewish students. For them, these are people that

00:20:52.960 didn't know anything about this conflict before six months ago and just decided to make it the biggest

00:20:57.920 part of their personality just because it's convenient to hate Jews and it fits into their narrative. 0.83

00:21:02.400 Behind me, they are not people who are anti-Israel. They are Antifa because this is Antifa tactic.

00:21:10.080 They are there for disturbing, growing their agenda. They are not really there for, you know, for the cause.

00:21:17.680 If you really ask them question about the conflicts between Israel and Palestine, they probably don't

00:21:23.920 know much about it. They are just there for, you know, they are just privileged to them. They are

00:21:31.760 rich to them. And they are here on the dime of their parents. Probably their parents didn't know

00:21:37.920 they are here. And most of them wear masks. Why they wear masks? Because they don't want to be recognized.

00:21:47.120 Do not touch. You will see my avocat soon. We are able to recognize your face very, very,

00:22:00.240 very, very quickly. Do you want to poke his face?

00:22:02.800 Oh, you have to poke his face. 0.99

00:22:04.800 You are really aggressive. You are really aggressive, huh? 0.64

00:22:09.920 You are not welcome.

00:22:11.920 You are not welcome. In passing, you did not have control on the university. It's McGill

00:22:16.240 that you have control on the university.

00:22:18.240 Is it you are a student? Because you have to look, when you are young.

00:22:24.240 I do not recule.

00:22:25.240 I do not recule.

00:22:26.240 Is it me who recule?

00:22:27.240 Is it you are a student? Is it you are a professor?

00:22:30.240 I don't like this question. I don't like this question.

00:22:33.240 Oh, oops!

00:22:34.240 Hey, I don't want to take care of your cell, huh?

00:22:36.240 Oh, why? Do you want to threaten me to take my cell?

00:22:38.240 Wow.

00:22:39.240 What is this?

00:22:40.240 Oh, exactly.

00:22:41.240 What oh, what has it done?

00:22:42.240 What oh, my 검토onte.

00:22:43.240 Oh, what?

00:22:44.240 Why? Do you want me to threaten me to threaten me?

00:22:45.240 bak now you are self-existed, hymne macho?

00:22:46.240 Wow, I can't even make my cell.

00:22:48.240 I start talking to himself, this guy. 0.96

00:22:49.240 What a means to murder me. 0.92

00:22:50.240 Oh, my pleasure. 0.74

00:22:51.240 Oh, my pleasure, ride on the offיים.

00:22:52.240 Pas-by Give me some love speech.

00:22:53.240 Oh, take a minute.

00:22:54.240 Oh, my pleasure?

00:22:55.240 It wasn'tadora please?

00:22:56.240 What important thing is that it's for me saying?

00:22:57.240 Great generation, what was the coolest thing that I don't know when I was

00:22:58.280 about that?

00:22:59.240 Sorry, o this police.

00:23:00.240 Oh yeah, the police,!

00:23:01.240 They are just harassing us. They are anti-fas. 1.00

00:23:16.080 Some people just want to cross the street and they just want to walk and they need to go

00:23:21.600 on the street to be able to cross into the street because they are blocking everybody

00:23:26.160 who try to pass through. This is hilarious. Those people have like, do you agree with

00:23:33.800 those people to just like come with umbrella and just like try to harass people? 0.93

00:23:38.640 I can only speak for myself. I believe like anything that is in public, you have the right

00:23:43.660 to film. If it's in plain view, you have the right to film this building, this police officer,

00:23:48.480 whoever. So I believe in those essential freedoms. I don't know who those people were and I believe

00:23:54.400 in freedom of press and freedom of inquiry and photography.

00:24:01.440 There is some Jewish student who was impacted by the October 7th and they probably... 0.98

00:24:07.080 I believe October 7th was an inside job. Israeli military personnel who served on the border

00:24:12.140 have said that themselves.

00:24:13.400 These guys have bad intentions.

00:24:16.040 He knows us and he is free to express his own opinion. You don't need to control everybody

00:24:23.000 to be pout.

00:24:24.760 Well, I believe that this is a grassroots protest. Anybody could come here. You may have infiltrators,

00:24:30.040 instigators. We see this at the Columbia University protests where you actually had teachers posting

00:24:36.600 signs pretending to be Palestinian, pro-Palestine supporters, but really agitating and I'm not saying

00:24:45.400 every incident of disrespect is staged, but there are definitely incidents that have been staged.

00:24:52.440 Do you care about the feelings...

00:24:55.560 I'm trying to ask the question in so many ways.

00:24:56.840 Yeah, but because you don't answer the question. Do you care about the feeling of the Jewish student

00:25:02.840 who see that and feel intimidated and harassed on their own campus?

00:25:07.480 I don't see why Jewish students would feel intimidated and harassed by a protest that is

00:25:13.560 protesting a disproportionate, brutal war response that anybody could come here and say things.

00:25:20.200 I speak for myself. From what I understand, the river to the sea basically means, from what people

00:25:24.120 have explained to me, it means freeing an area from apartheid, from discrimination, from colonial settler,

00:25:33.560 you know, brutalities. Hi there, just wondering if somebody wanted to come on camera.

00:25:43.640 Well, I guess that's our answer. I just wanted to hear their side of the story and they resort to

00:25:49.160 chanting. And I've also noticed, you know, I thought we were more than two years away from the masking

00:25:56.040 mandates in Ontario. And yet there is a disproportionate number of people with this protest wearing their face diapers.

00:26:06.600 So you have to ask yourself, folks, are they that overly concerned about COVID, which I thought was in the rearview mirror?

00:26:14.360 Or is this about disguising themselves? Are they maybe up to nefarious intentions?

00:26:21.240 But as you can see, we are clearly not allowed to come into the encampment. So maybe we can find

00:26:29.640 somebody on the other side of the fence that might want to come on camera. Let's see.

00:26:37.800 Hi, ma'am. What do you make of this occupation? I'm not COVID positive.

00:26:43.320 I don't know. Okay, I'm supporting them. I'm here. And I understand they want the U of T

00:26:53.080 to sever ties with Israeli companies, with Israeli universities. Divest and boycott. Yes.

00:26:59.240 All right. Now, why do you think that's a good idea? Why? For the same reason that I thought that

00:27:05.320 was a good idea when it was going on around South Africa, because Israel is an apartheid state and there 0.91

00:27:11.240 is a genocide going on right now. And I would like to my my universities in my country to stop

00:27:18.680 supporting genocide. You know, I'm curious what makes you support the idea that Israel is equivalent 0.96

00:27:26.600 to apartheid South Africa? Because Israel is equivalent to apartheid South Africa in all of its 0.74

00:27:33.960 policies, in the way that it has treated the Palestinian population for 75 years, in the way that it has

00:27:40.280 stolen people's land and resources, and in the way that it has treated the Palestinians.

00:27:45.320 But aren't there Arabs who are part of the Israeli Knesset? I'm not interested in this argument with

00:27:50.680 you. How do you feel about the way members of the LGBT community are treated in Gaza?

00:27:59.240 You really are that concerned about that? Yeah, I don't think it's a good idea to throw

00:28:04.440 people from a rooftop based on sexual orientation. Can you prove that? Oh, it's well documented.

00:28:10.360 Who's documented that? Show me. No, show me the evidence. Show me the evidence in the same way that

00:28:15.800 you said that people that that Hamas raped people on October 7th and there was absolutely no documentation.

00:28:22.440 That didn't happen. That is fake news. That is fake news and you're spreading fake news. So I'm not

00:28:27.240 interested in arguing with you about something that has absolutely no basis.

00:28:42.280 Now I should note folks, my cameraman Efren Monsanto beat me to the scene and I'm glad he was here early.

00:28:48.520 He caught a really disturbing incident in which an elderly woman was swarmed and pushed simply for

00:28:58.520 walking on this property. Here, check it out.

00:29:09.560 Can I ask you what happened there? I was walking through. I live in the neighborhood.

00:29:25.000 They won't let you in. They surround you. They condemnate you.

00:29:27.720 You lie, don't you? See? What's your message to like the elected leaders or maybe the university president?

00:29:40.200 This is the city of Toronto and people used to be able to walk freely. This has all just been done

00:29:48.840 for everybody to enjoy. Not just for a group of people that can tell you they don't show you any

00:29:55.480 identification. They just come over. They intimidate you. They harass you.

00:30:01.080 Anti-Semitic slurs. And yet nobody from Toronto Police, nobody from campus security

00:30:09.720 seem to have a problem with that. Ezra Levan here for Rebel News. I'm actually at the Fashion

00:30:14.200 Institute of Technology in Manhattan where, I don't know, I guess in the last hour or so,

00:30:19.640 a group of pro-Hamas supporters stormed into the lobby of the Fashion Institute of Technology and have

00:30:26.440 set up an echo camp of what's at Columbia. The anti-Semis therein want the university or the

00:30:34.360 institute to cut all ties with Israel. And they put Israel in quotation marks. I spoke to some of the

00:30:40.920 kids outside who really didn't have a clue what was going on. They didn't know much about Gaza or Israel.

00:30:46.280 I asked them what they had to say about the Uyghur genocide. Those are the Muslims 1.00

00:30:50.440 in Western China who were literally put in concentration camps. They don't know any of

00:30:55.160 that. They prefer to chant. But there are organizers. We know in Canada that, for example, Iran has 700

00:31:03.160 agents in Canada actively pumping up an anti-Semitic protest. Let's see what the fuss is about around here.

00:31:10.600 Many of the people protesting are not students. Not surprisingly, they wear masks. I think the

00:31:18.280 funniest moment of the day, and I've only been here for about an hour, is seeing people with flags.

00:31:26.120 Flags that aren't even the Palestinian flags. What country's flag is this? What flag is this?

00:31:32.120 Palestine. Is this the Palestine flag? Are you sure?

00:31:41.080 Hi. Do you know what flag this is? I'm not sure, but it's not the Palestine flag.

00:31:45.880 She says it's not the Palestine flag. Did you just pick it up or did someone give it to you?

00:31:51.720 It was given to me. I don't think that's the Palestine flag. What's the protest about?

00:31:58.120 Palestine and the eviction of two students and the firing of an RA.

00:32:04.760 Do you live here in New York or did you come here from another place?

00:32:07.160 I dorm here. Where are you from originally? Mexico. Oh, Mexico.

00:32:15.240 Are you going to boycott class or is it just sort of like a one-day protest?

00:32:18.760 I'm hoping it goes for more than one day.

00:32:22.360 Is it expensive to be a student here? Absolutely, yeah.

00:32:25.800 It's expensive? Yeah.

00:32:27.480 Are you worried that you're going to miss out on your education?

00:32:31.480 I mean, absolutely, but those things are more important.

00:32:33.640 I'm glad people are showing up and supporting.

00:32:37.400 And why are you glad people are showing up and supporting?

00:32:41.400 What are they supporting? Help me understand. I just got here one minute ago.

00:32:46.040 The students of FIT are protesting for free Palestine.

00:32:54.200 They're under a devastating genocide right now.

00:32:58.760 And it's about time the whole city stands up and is loud about something so horrible.

00:33:06.200 And what should be done?

00:33:12.040 A lot of universities, including FIT, have connections to Israel.

00:33:16.600 They should divest all of their money and all of their associations with Israel.

00:33:23.640 There are charges against certain students for protesting and they should drop those charges.

00:33:32.360 Everybody should be loud and help us finally come to an end.

00:33:40.280 One of the grossest things, and this is typically an Iran move, is that there's an extremely small 1.00

00:33:47.880 sect of a fringe Jewish group that when they're asked to, they come and purport to represent Jews.

00:34:00.840 You can see the ultra-Orthodox back there with anti-Semitic comments.

00:34:06.920 Why would you come and shame your fellow Jews?

00:34:09.160 Aren't you a Shanda for the Goyim? 1.00

00:34:11.960 How much have you been paid to be here and be a Jewish anti-Semite?

00:34:19.160 Who pays you to be here to be a Shanda for the Goyim? 1.00

00:34:22.680 How much money will you take to be an anti-Semite?

00:34:28.040 How do you feel about being an anti-Semite?

00:34:30.600 How much are you paid to be here?

00:36:03.000 Actually, under your criminal code, what you just did, is assault.

00:36:09.000 They want, they want to get involved.
