Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LEVANT ｜ Three media hoaxes — and a terrorist act

00:00:00.000 Hello, my Rebels. I'm going to take you through some of the news in the weekend, including some hoaxes blamed on the truckers.

00:00:06.440 I think they're trying to generate some pretext for a violent police response on the truckers.

00:00:11.560 I'm not sure if they're going to succeed. I fear they might, but I hope they won't.

00:00:15.460 I'll show you some interesting images, including a real attack, a real violent attack against the truckers.

00:00:22.460 Pretty sure you won't see this on any other network. They don't like that narrative.

00:00:26.240 If you're just listening to the podcast, can you do me a favor and go to rebelnewsplus.com and subscribe for the video version?

00:01:05.160 All right, here's today's show.

00:01:06.200 You're listening to a Rebel News Podcast.

00:01:13.060 Tonight, three media hoaxes and a terrorist act.

00:01:25.020 It's February 7th, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.

00:01:27.820 Here's a fun clip from the weekend from our B.C. Bureau Chief, Drea Humphrey.

00:01:53.660 I gotta tell you, I've done my best to find a white supremacist at this pro-freedom convoy.

00:01:59.240 I've asked several people. None of them grew swastika, contrary to what your politician might have said.

00:02:08.300 It's a good vibe. There's drums, there's music, there's Canadian flags.

00:02:13.020 There were some counter-protesters that said their message was to show that they had the numbers that opposed these pro-freedom protesters' message.

00:02:21.960 But you know what? It's like my colleague Matt Brevner's hit song says, there's way more of us than them when it comes to the freedom protesters.

00:02:35.580 I tell you, there's never a white supremacist around when you need one.

00:02:39.680 And in Canada these days, Justin Trudeau really, really needs one.

00:02:43.780 He said the protesters are white supremacists, which normally works for him. 1.00

00:02:49.100 But for some reason, this protester out of the Coutts border crossing was not convinced.

00:02:54.660 Thank you. Send this message to Justin Trudeau, please.

00:02:57.800 Tell him that we're united. It's just not a white supremacist group.

00:03:01.700 We're not a small fringe minority. Thank you.

00:03:04.680 Thank you.

00:03:05.400 Oh, well, if we can't find any racists, can we at least find someone violent?

00:03:17.620 It's even better since it's a pretext to unleash violence back against the truckers, back or even ban them.

00:03:24.860 Hmm. We've heard that rhetoric from the liberals and the media that these are terrorists and you know they're terrorists since they're sitting in their trucks honking their horns as terrorists do.

00:03:37.260 I mean, don't worry.

00:03:38.540 The media party is ready to say that listening to horns honking is a kind of physical assault.

00:03:44.340 I'm serious.

00:03:45.000 Not a two year lockdown, but horns honking.

00:03:47.540 That'll that'll undo your health. 0.95

00:03:48.820 Well, here was one attempt to have that terrorist moment.

00:03:54.860 Ah, he's just pretending.

00:03:59.300 Oh, my God.

00:04:00.440 He's pretending.

00:04:02.360 I'm serious.

00:04:03.400 What an actor.

00:04:05.080 But Ottawa is full of people like that, dramatic actors.

00:04:08.820 They desperately want some retroactive proof that their level of offendedness is justified.

00:04:14.700 That's tricky, given their prior support for Black Lives Matter and all other manner of protesters and riot.

00:04:21.460 I mean, bouncy castles, people, truckers picking up garbage in the streets, shoveling snow.

00:04:26.720 Pretty tough to demonize.

00:04:28.840 But there actually was a car that plowed into people for real.

00:04:34.020 Into four people, in fact.

00:04:35.320 Take a look.

00:04:36.900 This is dash cam footage from a trucker protest in Winnipeg.

00:04:40.820 Peaceful, of course.

00:04:41.720 But then someone looking for violence against the truckers drove into them.

00:04:47.300 Hit four people.

00:04:48.460 One had to go to hospital.

00:04:50.440 He tried to flee at high speed.

00:04:52.280 Here, take a listen to the police.

00:04:54.520 I'm Constable Rob Carver, public information officer with the Winnipeg Police Service.

00:04:59.660 Just one matter to talk about.

00:05:02.500 Yesterday evening at about 9, 10 p.m., Winnipeg police were advised of a motor vehicle collision near Broadway and Memorial Boulevard.

00:05:09.980 The initial information was that a westbound jeep patriot had driven through a group of protesters that were part of the freedom convoy at the legislative grounds.

00:05:19.700 The jeep then fled west, ultimately going down Portage Avenue, where numerous witnesses reported it traveling at high rates of speed and passing through red lights.

00:05:28.520 With the assistance of the RCMP, Winnipeg Police Service officers were able to stop the vehicle in the 4800 block of Portage Avenue at approximately 1030.

00:05:40.300 The lone male driver was arrested after a brief struggle.

00:05:44.240 The jeep struck four adult males in total.

00:05:46.520 Three sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention, and that's actually not quite accurate.

00:05:51.460 They were treated at the scene by Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, and the fourth was treated in hospital and released.

00:05:58.580 As a result, a male from Headingley, Manitoba, faces charges of assault with a weapon times four,

00:06:04.640 dangerous operation of a conveyance caused bodily harm times two,

00:06:08.260 dangerous operation of a conveyance,

00:06:10.580 failed to stop after accident knowing that reckless, knowing that the driving was reckless times two,

00:06:16.140 and failed to stop at the scene of an accident times two.

00:06:18.640 He is currently in custody.

00:06:21.600 We haven't named the individual yet because charges haven't been formally sworn to,

00:06:25.800 and we are obligated to not release a name until that process is complete.

00:06:30.780 I guess I'll take questions.

00:06:32.860 So hang on.

00:06:33.780 You literally rammed people at a political protest.

00:06:37.000 You fled.

00:06:37.780 You resisted arrest.

00:06:38.880 And that's just an assault charge, is it?

00:06:44.040 Our reporters, Sheila Gunn-Reed, Dave Shrigley, and others, did some pretty basic digging, frankly.

00:06:49.520 And the man, David Zegarack, the suspect, he has a long history of hardcore left-wing Antifa-style activism and violence.

00:06:59.520 If you heard his name, David Zegarack, you'd remember that name, wouldn't you?

00:07:03.640 Have you even heard of his alleged crime?

00:07:06.020 Have you heard anything about this case at all?

00:07:09.600 Say, if it were a trucker plowing into someone else, if the shoe was on the other foot,

00:07:13.080 do you think it would have been thrown down the memory hole in the same way,

00:07:17.180 or do you think it's all you'd be hearing about?

00:07:18.660 But seriously, there is more demand than supply for racism and violence.

00:07:23.060 So look at this.

00:07:24.560 This is from the disgraced Bernie Farber from the so-called Canada Anti-Hate Network.

00:07:31.240 What a laugh.

00:07:32.220 They are the hate network, that's for sure. 1.00

00:07:36.620 They're professional liars. 0.99

00:07:38.060 You might recall they are literally paid to smear conservatives. 1.00

00:07:41.540 Smear conservatives as violent.

00:07:43.020 Here's one of their staff apologizing for saying,

00:07:46.380 we are somehow affiliated with terrorism.

00:07:48.820 But that wasn't really a mistake by her, really. 0.99

00:07:51.880 She's a hired liar, which is a weird job. 0.96

00:07:54.520 Trudeau's government gave this group over a quarter million dollars to foment hate 0.99

00:07:58.620 and publicly smear their enemies.

00:08:00.540 Seriously, we read the contract.

00:08:01.700 You can read the contract.

00:08:02.960 Remember, we did a whole show on that.

00:08:05.300 They're paid to smear enemies of the liberals and make public complaints against them.

00:08:09.300 It's in the contract.

00:08:10.940 Well, obviously, they are very much needed in this trucker story,

00:08:14.400 since nothing else seems to be working.

00:08:16.320 So look at this tweet by Jonathan Kaye.

00:08:19.420 You see that?

00:08:21.180 Now, look at the picture.

00:08:25.020 Let's start on the left.

00:08:26.080 It's a tweet by the aforesaid Bernie Farber of the so-called anti-hate group.

00:08:31.060 And he says, I quote,

00:08:33.160 Taken by a friend in Ottawa at the occupation, apparently in prying sight.

00:08:39.720 So it's a photo of an anti-Semitic leaflet.

00:08:42.720 Okay, the convoys leaders are a Métis woman and a Jewish guy,

00:08:45.840 so it's obviously not condoned.

00:08:47.920 It's not an official document.

00:08:49.140 Now, I was there for a few days, and our people have been there for more than a week.

00:08:53.660 I don't think any of us have ever seen him.

00:08:56.080 Even if it were true that it was there, it doesn't condemn 100,000 people,

00:08:59.660 because you found some leaflet.

00:09:00.820 But still, it is what it is.

00:09:02.340 And Bernie Farber said his friend took the photo at the convoy.

00:09:08.040 Bernie Farber said.

00:09:09.980 But now look at the photo on the right.

00:09:11.560 Exact same image.

00:09:12.840 Look at it.

00:09:13.180 The same piece of paper.

00:09:14.500 Same fold.

00:09:15.340 Same lighting.

00:09:16.640 Literally the same photograph.

00:09:18.320 Breaking the Miami Beach Police Department says anti-Semitic COVID conspiracy flyers were distributed overnight.

00:09:25.780 And that's two weeks ago.

00:09:28.140 Bernie Farber didn't innocently copy this from the internet.

00:09:31.520 He personally testified that his friend got it from the trucker rally.

00:09:36.560 His friend.

00:09:37.860 He vouched for it.

00:09:39.960 But it was a wicked lie.

00:09:41.100 A defamatory smear by a professional smearer.

00:09:44.260 But boy, did a lot of people repeat that lie. 1.00

00:09:48.120 At least, at last, they had proof that these truckers were racist, terrorists, sexists. 0.99

00:09:53.840 Time to bring in the army or something. 0.99

00:09:56.580 But that was just a warm-up.

00:09:58.320 This series of tweets suggests that some trucker was mad about people who were upset with the honking or something.

00:10:07.280 So he came into a building and tried to set it on fire.

00:10:13.860 And thank God they caught him on time.

00:10:15.460 And of course, they know who he is because the trucker chatted with them mid-arson identifying himself.

00:10:21.400 And sure, they didn't call police or anything.

00:10:24.460 They reported it to Twitter a day later, which is what you do.

00:10:31.040 If an arsonist bursts into your apartment, you wait a day and then you tweet about it.

00:10:36.960 And you know he's a trucker because at least in one of the pictures, it looks like they have pink hair.

00:10:41.740 And many truckers do, you know.

00:10:44.780 It's hard to keep up.

00:10:45.960 It's really a Jussie Smollett-level hoax.

00:10:48.920 So many, so many people, literally the entire Ottawa establishment, immediately accepted this obvious hoax and magnified it.

00:10:58.340 And I'm not just talking about chatterboxes in the media.

00:11:00.540 I'm talking about government officials with actual power.

00:11:04.340 They didn't look at it too closely.

00:11:05.800 They didn't want to.

00:11:06.520 You don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth.

00:11:09.100 It was just too perfect a story.

00:11:11.040 Best not to check or even ask basic questions like, does this make sense?

00:11:15.180 They needed the pretext, the Reichstag fire upon which to launch the attack against the evil truckers.

00:11:21.820 Wag the dog stuff here, folks.

00:11:24.240 And so it came.

00:11:25.200 So the police raid on the truckers, or at least at first a raid on their diesel fuel.

00:11:31.240 Watch for a bit.

00:11:32.140 Watch for a bit.

00:12:02.140 Watch for a bit.

00:12:32.140 Now, diesel fuel is not illegal.

00:12:38.400 There was no court order, no search warrant, just heavily armed Ottawa police brandishing large weapons going around and demanding that people give them their diesel fuel.

00:12:50.220 Sorry, how is that morally, legally, operationally different from an armed gang stealing stuff?

00:12:55.520 Neither has the right.

00:12:56.620 But Trudeau gets what Trudeau wants.

00:13:00.300 Our reporter, Lincoln Jay, is doing what none of those other Twitter warriors did.

00:13:04.180 He's actually doing a deep debunk on the scene of that condo.

00:13:08.460 And we'll show you that video.

00:13:10.400 I expect we'll have it out tomorrow. 0.94

00:13:12.000 But really, these liars are lying. 0.51

00:13:15.520 Are you surprised by any of that? 0.96

00:13:17.420 And I say again, these truckers have been a political earthquake.

00:13:21.020 They have toppled Aaron O'Toole.

00:13:22.520 They might yet topple Jason Kenney.

00:13:26.440 And who knows what will happen to Trudeau in the end?

00:13:28.780 I don't.

00:13:29.260 One thing is certain from all these hoaxes.

00:13:34.560 No one will ever trust the mainstream media again.

00:13:38.580 Stay with us for more.

00:13:39.940 We're going to talk to a lawyer in Ottawa.

00:13:41.760 Well, so much going on.

00:13:56.860 And of course, yesterday, the mayor of Ottawa declared an emergency, which is funny because

00:14:01.300 hours earlier, he said it was just a festival with bouncy castles.

00:14:05.200 There's so much politics going on and so much politics pretending to be policing.

00:14:09.900 Well, police took their political orders literally and started making arrests in the city, but

00:14:16.100 more bizarrely, started seizing jerry cans of gasoline or diesel fuel.

00:14:21.820 The reason that's important is so many of the truckers are actually living in their cabs

00:14:25.580 or their trucks.

00:14:26.220 So they need to run their engines for electricity and to stay warm in the cold Ottawa winter.

00:14:32.380 Those diesel jerry cans are not illegal.

00:14:35.200 They're not prohibited in any way.

00:14:37.080 Transporting them safely is an offense neither under the criminal court nor under any bylaw.

00:14:43.460 Plainly going up to people with an armed officer and demanding they hand over their diesel is bizarre and strikes me

00:14:51.700 that if it's not accompanied by a search warrant, maybe an act of theft in itself.

00:14:56.620 Joining us now is someone who probably knows the answer better than me.

00:15:00.100 He's a criminal lawyer based in Ottawa.

00:15:02.020 Our friend David Amber joins us now.

00:15:04.480 David, nice to see you.

00:15:05.440 Thanks for taking the time.

00:15:06.300 You're so busy today.

00:15:07.960 Give us a quick update on what you've been doing the last day or so.

00:15:13.000 Well, thanks for having me, Ezra.

00:15:14.620 We've been getting a lot of calls since the mayor declared the state of emergency

00:15:18.820 and the police have been moving in.

00:15:21.320 We've been hearing a lot of stories of arrests.

00:15:23.920 I've been getting some calls from people in custody.

00:15:25.980 I've also been getting calls from a lot of concerned citizens who are just shocked, frankly,

00:15:31.800 as to the police nature of our city and our society and how it appears to be going.

00:15:38.980 I think to address your comments, Ezra, about the jerry cans,

00:15:44.620 I think the most common thing we keep hearing over and over again is this arrest for either aiding and abetting

00:15:50.820 or attempting to aid and abet the commission of mischief under the Criminal Code of Canada.

00:15:55.980 So that appears to be the hook that they're using to go through with these arrests and these seizures.

00:16:04.380 And maybe you talk a little bit more about why I think that might be problematic.

00:16:09.000 Yeah.

00:16:09.440 Well, I mean, it's such a stretch.

00:16:12.900 I'm guessing the police say, well, just do it.

00:16:16.180 And by the time we're brought before a judge, the damage will be done.

00:16:19.380 These truckers will leave.

00:16:20.580 I think a lot of this is just to try and scare them away.

00:16:23.120 But you said something I'd like to ask you more about.

00:16:27.320 We've seen footage of the diesel fuel being taken.

00:16:30.540 I'm going to call it stolen, frankly, because I don't think they have the color of right to take it.

00:16:34.700 But you said people are in custody, as in they were arrested

00:16:37.320 and they weren't just released right away with a ticket or a summons.

00:16:41.540 They were put in jail.

00:16:43.360 Tell me about who's in custody and what they're in custody for.

00:16:47.740 Well, I've received some calls, Ezra, from the police, people in custody,

00:16:52.500 advised people in custody regarding, again, the arrest for aiding and abetting the commission of mischief.

00:17:00.500 And I've not been able to speak today.

00:17:03.640 I've not been able to reconnect with anybody who I spoke to yesterday.

00:17:07.200 I did connect today, though, with someone in my office who was arrested.

00:17:12.720 I didn't speak to him yesterday, but he was arrested.

00:17:15.100 His property was seized.

00:17:17.640 And after spending a couple hours in police custody, the police released him with no charges

00:17:24.440 and just a exhortation to stay away from the downtown core without any any lawful basis to require him to do that.

00:17:33.520 And there's no actual enforcement mechanism for that.

00:17:37.860 Just say this actually be a good boy is what they told him after depriving him of his liberty for several hours

00:17:43.720 and having him have to go across town to get his car out of impound.

00:17:48.900 Huh. So, I mean, I understand it if charges are laid.

00:17:53.800 I mean, police can have some authority.

00:17:55.260 But for the police simply to scoop a guy off the street, hold them and then and then give him a direction

00:18:01.340 on where he can or can't engage in a peaceful protest, that is a very troubling thing.

00:18:06.620 And I think this whole thing is suspect.

00:18:09.200 On the one hand, police have been abusive over the last two years in general.

00:18:12.680 But I think that they have been pressed to the limit.

00:18:14.900 The police chief in Ottawa was outrageous with his press conference the other day, deeming this protest unlawful.

00:18:21.340 I'm sorry, I don't think that's his place to do.

00:18:23.620 Threatening a bizarre enforcement.

00:18:25.280 He called it surge and contain.

00:18:27.180 I've never heard those words before.

00:18:29.120 Saying he's working with national spy agencies to collect private data on every one of the peaceful protests.

00:18:35.840 What's that other than an enemy's list?

00:18:38.380 I think that the Ottawa Police Service has allowed itself to become a political enforcement arm of Justin Trudeau and the regime.

00:18:47.080 I'm deeply concerned about it.

00:18:48.640 And what you've just described, someone being pulled off the street, thrown in jail for hours and then released with no charges.

00:18:56.000 I'm sorry, but that's what happens in Caracas, Venezuela or Havana, Cuba or Tehran.

00:19:03.040 That's not what's supposed to happen in Canada.

00:19:05.160 I tend to agree with what you're saying, Ezra.

00:19:10.180 I think that if there were charges laid, there would be a number of areas of those charges which would be difficult for the Crown to prove.

00:19:18.200 There would be constitutional issues.

00:19:20.120 There would be constitutional issues not only with the enforcement, but with any suggestion that the criminal code would trump the charter rights that are in play.

00:19:32.120 I will say this, though, it's been a lot quieter today.

00:19:36.760 I'm not sure if you can see, but I'm here in my office.

00:19:38.880 I'm right downtown, 450 meters south of of the center of of the protests.

00:19:45.140 And it's a lot quieter today.

00:19:46.600 And I think that although I think protesters and I support everyone's right to protest and to do so noisily, I think that the hook the police were using to be able to lay these or at least do these arrests for mischief was the extremely loud noise which has been going on for some time.

00:20:05.900 So I think that it's to some extent a strategically good thing that the noise has calmed down, at least temporarily for now, because I think it deprives the police for being able to claim that a mischief is ongoing as they're hearing it.

00:20:20.640 I think I'm not saying that it would survive in court, but I'm saying that police might have been acting on the basis that members of our citizens of the city of Ottawa were were not able to enjoy their property with the loud noise.

00:20:34.680 That noise gone, I think so goes any realistic basis to have laid these arrests.

00:20:40.720 So I think strategically, that's a good thing.

00:20:42.680 And I've not been hearing of there being as many arrests today.

00:20:46.140 But we're going to have to see how the day continues.

00:20:48.880 Well, that's very interesting.

00:20:50.200 I know you're so busy.

00:20:51.360 You put your phone number on Twitter.

00:20:53.180 Always a risky move.

00:20:54.680 You're going to get a lot of phone calls.

00:20:55.960 I know you already have.

00:20:57.460 And yesterday I called you up and I said, hey, we will crowdfund the legal fees to defend anyone who because I was very upset with what I saw yesterday.

00:21:08.200 I talked to the Democracy Fund folks today.

00:21:10.440 And as you know, the Democracy Fund is the independent charity that's doing a lot of these civil liberties cases.

00:21:16.220 So Rebel News is going to send all the cases to the Democracy Fund.

00:21:20.160 And I know that you've worked with the Democracy Fund, too.

00:21:22.380 So we will still continue to help everyone who's being arrested this way.

00:21:28.160 It'll be done by Democracy Fund lawyers.

00:21:30.180 And, of course, you've worked with them before.

00:21:31.680 So our offer stands.

00:21:33.300 It just won't be Rebel News doing it.

00:21:35.560 It'll be the Democracy Fund.

00:21:36.780 And I know that's a distinction without a difference for most people.

00:21:39.720 But I tell you, I know the Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms has also been on the ground in Ottawa.

00:21:44.700 So there are some civil liberties lawyers doing their best.

00:21:48.080 You're one of them.

00:21:48.960 David Anber, great to see you again.

00:21:50.340 We'll let you get back to it.

00:21:51.400 Thanks for your time.

00:21:53.260 Thanks for having me, Ezra.

00:21:54.240 All right.

00:21:54.600 Our pleasure.

00:21:55.120 There you have it.

00:21:55.540 David Anber, one of the lawyers that the Democracy Fund is deploying in Ottawa.

00:22:00.140 Stay with us.

00:22:00.720 More ahead.

00:22:06.780 Hey, welcome back.

00:22:15.580 Your viewer mail.

00:22:16.520 Mike S. says, I think they would have to build some prisons or jails if they want to arrest the Freedom Convoy participants.

00:22:23.040 It would be easier if Trudeau would do the right thing and follow the science and laws of the land by stopping any and all mandates.

00:22:29.600 See, you believe in the rule of law and you want to stand up for the system because it's the system we have.

00:22:35.760 There's a sort of a social contract there, isn't there?

00:22:39.280 But Robert Peel's rules of policing are accurate when they say you can't rule a nation without the consent of the people, at least not a liberal democracy.

00:22:49.900 Unless you're willing to go full Joseph Stalin or full Kim Jong-un.

00:22:54.840 If you don't have the consent of the people to be policed, it's not going to work.

00:22:58.580 I mean, there's certain places where if police go in, everyone's afraid of the gangsters so no one will rat them out.

00:23:07.780 No one will snitch.

00:23:10.480 Maybe people hate the police and they side with the gangsters or the drug dealers.

00:23:15.220 We're not talking about drug dealers here.

00:23:16.680 We're talking about law-abiding, regular, hardworking folks.

00:23:20.580 And if you've got thousands, tens of thousands, maybe a million, maybe millions of people, many of whom have been vaxxed, by the way, who have just simply had enough, you can't police them.

00:23:30.120 You can't physically arrest them.

00:23:31.700 You can't prosecute them.

00:23:33.040 You can't jail them.

00:23:34.500 You could nibble them piece by piece, but they're not in little pieces anymore.

00:23:38.560 You've got thousands of them.

00:23:41.380 It's a real pickle for the government.

00:23:42.920 Unless Trudeau's willing to go full Castro and be violent about it, and hopefully saner heads will prevail.

00:23:51.400 Warren says it has been reported that shoplifting and offenses against the local businesses community has decreased drastically.

00:23:59.180 Possibly the police chief and his administration should be sued for incompetence during normal times.

00:24:04.660 Truckers should be remunerated for their peacekeeping activities.

00:24:07.680 It's very funny, but when I was in town, I went to a restaurant and see in Ontario, I'm not allowed to go to a restaurant because I don't show my papers.

00:24:16.660 The restaurant was open.

00:24:18.000 People were sitting down.

00:24:19.440 It was jam-packed.

00:24:20.800 No one was wearing a mask.

00:24:22.140 It felt like the before times.

00:24:24.220 And the happiest person in the room was not any trucker or a person like me enjoying a restaurant meal for the first time in months.

00:24:31.300 It was the restaurant owner.

00:24:32.560 I think that when you have 50,000, 100,000 severely normal people coming into town, and you say, well, I'm not even going to try and enforce masks or vax passports, I think that just normalized the city.

00:24:45.800 And I think it reminded people that you don't have to be afraid of the virus, and you don't have to be afraid of politicians.

00:24:53.020 D.G. Moocher says, I'm so impressed with Rebel News.

00:24:58.460 Very professional and enough staff to cover a lot of territory.

00:25:01.500 Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

00:25:03.520 Thanks very much.

00:25:04.180 I was very proud of our team on the weekend.

00:25:05.780 We were in nine cities and towns.

00:25:08.000 Let me see if I can name them.

00:25:09.380 Going west to east, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Milk River, Alberta, Cootes, Alberta, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, and Canberra, Australia.

00:25:18.320 I think I nailed it.

00:25:19.160 That's a big effort, of course, our team here in Ottawa, on the editing side, on the web team side, social media.

00:25:25.600 So I'm very proud.

00:25:26.920 I mean, can you imagine this is the little crew that started seven years ago in my living room, and now we're coast to coast and even in foreign countries.

00:25:34.640 Very proud of our team.

00:25:35.920 I hope you're enjoying it.

00:25:36.860 And you know what?

00:25:38.680 I think seven years of preparation for this moment, that we're telling the other side of the story when it's needed more than ever.

00:25:45.780 That's our show for today.

00:25:46.700 Until tomorrow, on behalf of all of us at Rebel World Headquarters, see you at home.

00:25:51.320 Good night.

00:25:52.440 Keep fighting for freedom.

00:25:53.380 We're going to shake it.

00:26:20.700 On the wrong side of history, on the wrong side of history, everything you want is shake.

00:26:40.580 All Canada, all our old and native land, through faith and love, and all our sons come in.

00:26:57.380 Let's sing, everybody.

00:26:58.900 So, hey guys, I arrived here a little bit too late.

00:27:05.740 I didn't see the interaction of the police, but some people give me the footage.

00:27:09.460 You will see it in a couple of seconds.

00:27:10.940 But what happened is, like, the police came here on scene and they took fuel from the truck driver and the volunteer.

00:27:20.760 So, I asked them, what happened, check it out.

00:27:25.180 What did you see?

00:27:26.060 What did I see?

00:27:27.760 I came in.

00:27:28.380 I went to Coventry.

00:27:29.420 I've been staying at the hotel here.

00:27:30.960 And when we came back from downtown, we couldn't get in with the cab.

00:27:34.520 The police was blocked off.

00:27:35.900 They had it blocked off.

00:27:36.960 So, we got out of the car.

00:27:38.300 And we were coming over here to have a coffee and say goodnight to everybody and goodbye.

00:27:41.860 And I saw all these fire department big vehicles.

00:27:48.720 And then I saw the police car.

00:27:50.500 And then when I saw the police up here and the one officer with the assault rifle, and it was very much to intimidate us.

00:28:00.040 And the group of people here are peaceful, loving, kind, family-oriented.

00:28:05.600 And, you know, and we sung O'Canada after they left and we hugged it out.

00:28:12.160 You know, it was a very powerful speech.

00:28:14.600 What he did was very peaceful.

00:28:16.580 And then the police officers just rolled out all the vehicles left.

00:28:23.700 And they were in formation.

00:28:25.560 And they started marching like robots, like soldiers.

00:28:31.160 And there was almost no conversation between the police and the people.

00:28:35.540 And then they left.

00:28:37.560 Now, they didn't take any fuel that they used to drive their trucks.

00:28:43.520 Or if they did, they took a very small amount.

00:28:46.900 It's colored diesel that they took.

00:28:49.280 You can't even use it to drive a rig, right?

00:28:52.600 And they took the fuel that they used to keep warm.

00:28:56.520 And I don't know if they realized they did that or not.

00:29:00.700 But that is what they did.

00:29:03.280 So, how much fuel did they took away?

00:29:06.820 3,200 liters of fuel.

00:29:10.240 To me, this was clearly an intimidation raid.

00:29:13.700 It was to show a force.

00:29:15.760 You know, there's been a lot of war of words, harsh words from the mayor and the council over the last three days.

00:29:20.860 And they had to have some kind of red meat to show everybody, look what we did tonight.

00:29:24.200 We took their fuel.

00:29:25.340 We're going to hit them where it counts.

00:29:26.480 We've got the power. 0.93

00:29:27.320 We can outgun them, so to say.

00:29:29.700 And that's what I believe happened tonight.

00:29:31.060 They took the heat and fuel for the volunteers.

00:29:32.940 Yeah.

00:29:33.720 Like, really?

00:29:34.840 That's what we're doing now in Canada?

00:29:36.800 But to me, like, I feel sorry for the frontline officers.

00:29:39.380 A lot of them are very respectful.

00:29:40.480 They have families.

00:29:40.980 They don't like doing this.

00:29:42.280 But they're getting bad orders from a bad chief that needs to resign.

00:29:45.280 And, again, I don't want to, you know, I don't want to say that the police knew that they were taking the fuel that they were using to heat themselves up in the tents.

00:29:55.040 But, unfortunately, I think when they get back to their headquarters, they're going to realize what they took.

00:30:01.420 And maybe they'll feel bad.

00:30:03.200 Maybe they won't.

00:30:03.920 I don't know.

00:30:04.980 How many police officers went for taking away the fuel?

00:30:09.320 I heard there was 100 or more.

00:30:11.560 There was police officers situated up there.

00:30:13.900 Some people were calling them snipers.

00:30:16.080 There's video footage of police officers up on the top there.

00:30:23.380 So, I mean, there's hundreds of people that were recording police officers situated around higher buildings.

00:30:28.960 I don't know what they were expecting.

00:30:30.800 Again, these are just, like, working people who drive a truck for a living.

00:30:35.100 What you saw is, like, taking away a lot of fuel that you made.

00:30:39.420 They took all the fuel away.

00:30:40.880 There's families that are staying in their trucks.

00:30:43.320 They've taken away most of their livelihood.

00:30:46.080 And they need this fuel so they can sleep with their children and be warm.

00:30:51.840 So now they've said that anybody taking fuel or food to any of the truckers will be looking at being arrested and having fines and charged.

00:31:03.340 So, do you know if they have another option to make them warm?

00:31:07.720 Because without fuel, it would be a little bit difficult.

00:31:10.980 Everybody should know that the fuel that was taken is the fuel that was to keep them warm in their tents.

00:31:17.180 So, please, everybody, if you could have a heart and think of any way you can to help them stay warm, they need that.

00:31:28.900 And, um, uh, just, you can, you can go to, uh, Give, Send, Go and actually leave messages.

00:31:37.560 You can say, hey, this is how I can help you.

00:31:39.500 It's not just about money on Give, Send, Go.

00:31:41.520 So, um, you can, like, there's, there's, um, Freedom Convoy 2022 and Adopt-A-Trucker and you don't have to just leave money.

00:31:51.000 You can, you can say, um, this is how I can help.

00:31:53.960 I can help this way.

00:31:55.460 I can help, I can, I have a way for you guys to keep warm or space heaters or something or whatever.

00:32:01.780 Because what we saw since the beginning of, uh, the movement, we saw a really nice police, really human, really helpful.

00:32:11.260 Uh, did you see something changing in their behavior?

00:32:14.980 Uh, well, today they just didn't want to talk to anybody.

00:32:17.740 It seems like they had their orders.

00:32:19.720 I have no idea how they felt about it, but it was just kind of like a robotic response.

00:32:25.300 They were, like, it's, it's similar to what happened at, uh, Adamson Barbecue, where they were just like, you know, it made no sense to talk to them.

00:32:33.540 They just didn't care, you know?

00:32:35.280 So, I guess orders, that's it.

00:32:38.180 Yeah.

00:32:38.480 Um, they didn't want to be here, a lot of them.

00:32:40.700 And I know just following orders is not an excuse.

00:32:43.300 However, there is a time of transition right now, right?

00:32:46.300 And, and that's why we spent a lot of time talking to people tonight and saying, you know, you need to go home tonight and think about this.

00:32:51.380 Is this where you want, is this a country, the type of country you want to serve?

00:32:55.300 As an officer?

00:32:56.100 Or is it time to say, you know what?

00:32:58.080 We don't want to do this anymore.

00:32:59.700 We don't want to, we don't want to turn on our own citizens, you know?

00:33:02.280 Every law enforcement officer looks at this and goes, you know what?

00:33:05.740 I need to have a talk with my superior.

00:33:07.940 And say, you know what?

00:33:08.700 We don't want to do this.

00:33:10.060 This is not where we want to go as a country.

00:33:11.980 Because do we want to take fuel from the people that pay us?

00:33:16.180 That pay our, these are hardworking middle-class Canadians.

00:33:18.900 We cannot go down this road and remain a semblance of a free country.

00:33:23.580 There's no way.

00:33:24.080 So where the fuel was come from and where the fuel will go, you think?

00:33:31.360 So the fuel was donated, I believe by a farmer.

00:33:34.300 It was on a farm tank.

00:33:35.400 So I assume that, you know, it had the little slow moving vehicle sign.

00:33:38.540 So I'm guessing a farmer probably brought it in and donated it.

00:33:40.740 But the fuel is taken.

00:33:42.800 I'm sure it's been seized and put in a compound.

00:33:46.220 You know, this is now going to go before the courts, right?

00:33:48.880 Because what happened tonight is a very upsetting and probably convoluted legal precedent that it sets in Canada.

00:33:57.920 Because I'm not aware of similar tactics being used, at least not in these kind of contexts.

00:34:03.060 There have been such tactics when things turn violent and there was, you know, open clashes with protesters.

00:34:07.880 But typically never when relationships were good with boots on the ground, right?

00:34:11.100 So I'm guessing that went into a compound tonight and it's going to be held probably pending a resolution of this situation that we're currently finding ourselves in.

00:34:20.140 So what would be the consequences from the fact that they take away your fuel?

00:34:24.560 Well, I think what's going to happen is there won't be a shortage of more fuel coming in if they need it.

00:34:31.680 Unfortunately, tonight we'll have to find some other, you know, they're going to find some ways.

00:34:35.340 There's a very, very strong team of resourceful volunteers here.

00:34:38.660 But at some point in time, they're going to have to find some alternative fuel sources and bring them in.

00:34:43.620 You know, they'll get through the night.

00:34:44.860 And people have been so generous.

00:34:47.600 As you saw, hundreds of thousands of people literally from all over the world are pouring their support in.

00:34:51.700 There will be no shortage of ways to get through this.

00:34:55.320 You know, the only thing we don't know now is at what time, you know, what's the next step for the other side or what are they going to take next, right?

00:35:02.180 Yeah. And do you know if they have a big plan to make them warm or the trucker, if any fuel can go to them?

00:35:10.700 Yes, we do. There certainly will.

00:35:12.460 It's not things that we can necessarily divulge, but there are other ways.

00:35:16.160 People are volunteering to do, they're volunteering to bring it in in any way they need to, if it's one leader at a time.

00:35:24.360 So that will not discourage them?

00:35:27.540 This will not only not discourage, this will galvanize people across Ottawa, across Canada and across the world to understand we were accusing them of being tyrants.

00:35:39.920 Okay. And people took issue with that.

00:35:41.820 Tonight, they found themselves guilty of being tyrants.

00:35:45.220 So now there's no doubt, right?

00:35:47.340 So now people understand, this is exactly why we're here, because of what happened tonight.

00:35:51.080 Is this the kind of country we want to live in?

00:35:53.220 I don't.

00:35:54.500 We want to be free.

00:35:55.200 Amen.

00:35:59.040 So at Rebel News, we want to defend all the truck drivers of what is happening right now all across Canada.

00:36:05.400 If you want to help them, to hire a top-notch lawyer, to defend them, go to truckerlawyer.ca.

00:36:12.060 You can donate generously, please.

00:36:14.540 Thanks for joining us.

00:36:38.360 Bye-bye.

00:36:39.600 Thank you.
