Rebel News Podcast - EZRA LEVANT ｜ Trudeau's border police free Tommy Robinson

00:00:00.000 Hello, my friends. I'm in Calgary. I was helping Tommy Robinson fight for his political freedom.

00:00:05.220 As you know, he was arrested after giving a speech the other night. Eight officers

00:00:09.960 handcuffed him and took him off to a federal holding facility. Well, we had a great victory

00:00:14.260 today. I want you to hear about it on this podcast, but I also want you to see it because it's so

00:00:19.020 visually unusual to see a man arrested this way. To see the video version of this podcast,

00:00:24.160 you need to go to rebelnewsplus.com and click subscribe. It's eight bucks a month. Not only

00:00:30.240 do you get my show every day, you get Sheila Gunn-Reed's show every week and the satisfaction

00:00:34.160 of knowing that you keep the Rebel News strong. As you know, we don't take a dime from Trudeau

00:00:38.120 and it shows. That's rebelnewsplus.com. All right, here's today's podcast.

00:00:54.160 Tonight, David beats Goliath. Tommy Robinson goes free. It's June 28th and this is the Ezra

00:01:04.080 LeVant Show.

00:01:05.320 Shame on you, you censorious bug.

00:01:11.360 Oh, hi everybody. I'm standing in Calgary. Doesn't really look like Calgary because this 0.92

00:01:24.380 is Glenmore Reservoir and when you think Calgary, you think dry prairies, but I feel like the

00:01:30.940 whole city and in fact the whole country is about two or three percent freer today than

00:01:37.500 it was yesterday and the reason is Tommy Robinson, the British free speech activist and journalist

00:01:43.180 who has been on tour in Canada with Rebel News, he won a key legal battle against Justin Trudeau's

00:01:50.420 border police. We've been telling you a little bit about that over the past few days, but basically

00:01:55.240 Tommy Robinson arrived in Canada and he gave a great speech in Calgary and everything was

00:02:01.440 pretty normal. I thought it was a good speech, but it was normal. I mean, it probably wouldn't

00:02:06.700 have made a big blip until this happened. Eight police, four of them in planes and clothes,

00:02:12.540 four of them in uniform, arrested Tommy, handcuffed him, packed him into an SUV, part of a three

00:02:19.460 SUV caravan, and took him away to the federal building. I'm sure you saw this. I say that

00:02:24.840 because at least 30 million people around the world saw it on Twitter alone. Take a look.

00:02:29.960 How's your luck? How you got one night to eat? What about my stuff? What about my stuff?

00:02:37.800 Absolutely insane.

00:02:47.640 How about that?

00:02:49.640 I've got an outstanding immigration law.

00:02:53.640 Yeah, for an outstanding immigration law.

00:02:57.640 Yeah.

00:02:58.640 Love you, buddy.

00:02:59.640 I'm going to put these in front of you.

00:03:01.640 Yeah, you can't.

00:03:02.640 You're tripping in there.

00:03:03.640 Thank you.

00:03:04.640 So, wait.

00:03:05.640 Calgary's fine. 1.00

00:03:06.640 Fuckin' Justin Trudeau. 1.00

00:03:07.640 Tommy, did they tell you what to be arrested down there? 1.00

00:03:10.640 I thought I'd stand him over.

00:03:11.640 OK, thank you.

00:03:12.640 I can't sit.

00:03:13.640 I can't sit down.

00:03:14.640 My hands come on.

00:03:15.640 Where can I go to help him get a lawyer and get bail?

00:03:19.640 He'll have access to a lawyer.

00:03:20.640 Which police?

00:03:21.640 Which police?

00:03:22.640 APU.

00:03:23.640 If you're going downtown, APU.

00:03:26.640 Which precinct?

00:03:29.640 APU downtown.

00:03:30.640 Where can I go to help out?

00:03:33.640 Which precinct?

00:03:35.640 Go to your ballot box.

00:03:37.640 That's how you can help out.

00:03:39.640 You know, frankly, that reminded me of when Tommy Robinson was arrested in the United Kingdom

00:03:44.640 outside a courthouse for merely reporting on a rape gang.

00:03:49.640 Remember that footage of him being bundled in the back of a truck?

00:03:52.640 The content of what I'm streaming.

00:03:54.640 I've been arrested for breach of the peace.

00:03:55.640 Are you already there?

00:03:56.640 I've been arrested for breach of the peace.

00:03:57.640 You've all watched this.

00:03:58.640 Oh my god.

00:03:59.640 You've all watched this.

00:04:00.640 You've all watched this.

00:04:01.640 Can you get me a solicitor?

00:04:02.640 Can you get me a solicitor?

00:04:03.640 Can you just turn off your life feet, please?

00:04:04.640 Can you get me a solicitor?

00:04:05.640 Just turn off your life feet, please. 0.99

00:04:06.640 Yeah?

00:04:07.640 Do you understand what other stuff to do?

00:04:09.640 That's why.

00:04:10.640 Sorry, can you explain it again?

00:04:11.640 The Directском känning of breach of the peace.

00:04:12.640 What does that mean?

00:04:25.640 What does that mean?

00:04:27.640 What does it mean?

00:04:28.640 That's the information I've got.

00:04:30.640 I'm inciting people.

00:04:32.640 How have I inciting people?

00:04:34.640 This is free speech.

00:04:36.640 This is where we're at.

00:04:38.640 You're not even allowed to. Look at this.

00:04:40.640 Do you know when you do this?

00:04:42.640 More people.

00:04:44.640 More people.

00:04:50.640 More people are going to watch this now than ever. 0.97

00:04:52.640 This is ridiculous. Do you feel right what you're doing here? 0.88

00:04:54.640 I haven't said a word.

00:04:56.640 In fact, someone laid their hand and assaulted me outside court.

00:04:58.640 Other people have shorted me

00:05:00.640 and threatened me about my mother.

00:05:02.640 And here I am being arrested for saying nothing.

00:05:04.640 I've done nothing.

00:05:06.640 What are they arresting you for, Tommy?

00:05:08.640 Apparently I'm inciting on my video.

00:05:10.640 Can you please, George, get me a solicitor?

00:05:12.640 Yeah.

00:05:14.640 I want us to spend a sentence.

00:05:16.640 He has actually done nothing wrong.

00:05:20.640 Yeah, frankly, it wouldn't shock me

00:05:22.640 if some officials from the United Kingdom

00:05:24.640 called some officials in Canada and said,

00:05:26.640 Oi mate, where's your free speech license?

00:05:28.640 And I had them arrested for that.

00:05:30.640 Well, luckily our whole Rebel News team was right there.

00:05:34.640 Like I say, we had just finished a great evening.

00:05:37.640 So we got on the phone right away.

00:05:39.640 And because I'm from Calgary originally,

00:05:40.640 I know some friends here.

00:05:42.640 We called a top notch criminal lawyer, Alan Heppner.

00:05:45.640 We started getting on the file with immigration lawyers.

00:05:48.640 We managed to get Tommy free just after midnight.

00:05:51.640 I don't know if you saw this footage,

00:05:53.640 but boy, it felt good to see the lad,

00:05:55.640 even though it was so late at night.

00:05:56.640 Remember this?

00:05:57.640 Tommy!

00:06:04.640 You're out.

00:06:05.640 I'm out, but I'm banned from leaving now,

00:06:07.640 but I'm banned from leaving Calgary.

00:06:09.640 Banned from leaving Calgary.

00:06:11.640 I have to see, they want my, I have to have my part.

00:06:13.640 The conditions are, conditions on release are,

00:06:15.640 I have to give them a passport in, in the morning.

00:06:17.640 I'm not allowed to leave Canada.

00:06:18.640 I said, what if I just want to go home?

00:06:20.640 They said, you're not allowed to.

00:06:21.640 So if there's certain conditions, I'm not allowed to,

00:06:23.640 I have to come here every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

00:06:27.640 And they have to, I have to give them the address of where I am,

00:06:30.640 notify them of any hotel that I'm staying in,

00:06:34.640 but not, I don't understand it in the sense of.

00:06:38.640 Do you have to make any bond or surety?

00:06:41.640 Do you have to put any money up?

00:06:42.640 No bond or surety.

00:06:43.640 No, they just said, I just have to wait now.

00:06:45.640 But I said, well, how, how does that make sense?

00:06:47.640 Because what if I, I meant to go home anyway.

00:06:49.640 It's my daughter's birthday.

00:06:50.640 And they said, well, you don't automatically,

00:06:52.640 you can't go home, basically.

00:06:54.640 You can't, you don't have,

00:06:55.640 you don't automatically have permission to go home.

00:06:57.640 We're taking your passport and you're awaiting a hearing.

00:07:01.640 Now, obviously fixing these problems is priority one,

00:07:03.640 but in terms of your Canadian speaking tour,

00:07:06.640 we had you scheduled for Edmonton tomorrow.

00:07:08.640 I'm not allowed to go to Edmonton.

00:07:09.640 They made that clear.

00:07:10.640 You're not allowed to, it says it here.

00:07:11.640 Red Deer, what's Red Deer?

00:07:13.640 Red Deer, that's a city in central Alberta.

00:07:15.640 Okay, that's where I'm allowed.

00:07:16.640 Not allowed south of Red Deer.

00:07:17.640 It says, turn in your passport no later than 11 a.m.

00:07:20.640 Remain in southern Alberta.

00:07:22.640 Red Deer to the USA border at all times.

00:07:25.640 That's so weird and arbitrary.

00:07:27.640 Well, that's to stop me going to Edmonton.

00:07:29.640 It's to stop me talking in Toronto.

00:07:32.640 That's the sole purpose of this.

00:07:34.640 That's what I said.

00:07:35.640 The sole purpose of this is to stop me having discussions

00:07:37.640 and talking in the cities I was meant to be in.

00:07:39.640 Maybe we'll have to reschedule that Edmonton event in Red Deer.

00:07:43.640 In Red Deer, yeah.

00:07:44.640 Maybe we'll have to get a bus to bring our Edmontonians down to Red Deer. 0.99

00:07:47.640 Now, this is all waiting for what?

00:07:49.640 Like, what are we waiting for?

00:07:51.640 Is there a hearing?

00:07:52.640 They're waiting for a hearing, yeah.

00:07:53.640 They said, waiting for a hearing.

00:07:54.640 But I said, how long can a hearing take?

00:07:55.640 They said, they didn't say.

00:07:57.640 So they said, originally, they were talking about holding me here.

00:08:00.640 They said they might hold me for 48 hours and then transfer me to Vancouver on a plane.

00:08:04.640 48 hours in this building or in a local jail?

00:08:06.640 No, no.

00:08:07.640 In a jail.

00:08:08.640 So in a jail for 48 hours and then transport me in a plane to Vancouver.

00:08:10.640 In a plane to Vancouver.

00:08:11.640 Why?

00:08:12.640 Because that must be where their center is.

00:08:14.640 So this was immigration?

00:08:15.640 Immigration, yeah.

00:08:17.640 And inside there, were you just in an office?

00:08:19.640 I was called into immigration.

00:08:20.640 I've done a three hour interview in immigration to come in it.

00:08:23.640 I've been, I went through immigration.

00:08:24.640 I said I went through immigration to come in it.

00:08:26.640 I don't want you to say anything that you think is confidential that you want to share

00:08:29.640 only with a lawyer, but what exactly have they accused you of?

00:08:33.640 They haven't accused me of anything.

00:08:35.640 Just immigration violations.

00:08:36.640 Immigration violations.

00:08:38.640 And they said, they detained me under...

00:08:40.640 Have you ever been to Canada before?

00:08:41.640 No.

00:08:42.640 And they arrested me under a warrant.

00:08:44.640 Did you get my recording from in the back of the car?

00:08:46.640 Yeah.

00:08:47.640 Where it was saying, I was recording it in the back of the car.

00:08:49.640 And it was saying the man who's off right.

00:08:51.640 And you know what?

00:08:52.640 I'll be straight up.

00:08:53.640 The three officers were lovely.

00:08:54.640 And they said, this isn't us.

00:08:55.640 The cop has said that.

00:08:56.640 I believe that.

00:08:57.640 They were really nice.

00:08:58.640 They were really nice.

00:08:59.640 Even then they were really nice.

00:09:00.640 They said, look, this isn't us.

00:09:02.640 And this goes, because I said, well, how can I be held?

00:09:04.640 What are you saying?

00:09:05.640 I just can't leave.

00:09:06.640 I haven't even got anywhere.

00:09:07.640 I've got a hotel room for a night.

00:09:09.640 How can I be held here for weeks and weeks?

00:09:11.640 He goes, well, you're held.

00:09:12.640 We're taking your passport tomorrow.

00:09:14.640 Well, Tommy got out of that holding facility at the federal building by signing a list of

00:09:19.640 promises, conditions that were binding on him.

00:09:22.640 And one of them was that he was not allowed to leave Southern Alberta.

00:09:25.640 Now, I love Southern Alberta.

00:09:27.640 But Southern Alberta means he couldn't go to our speech the next night in Edmonton.

00:09:32.640 And I deeply regret that we were unable to fulfill our commitment to people who bought tickets for Edmonton.

00:09:38.640 Obviously, we issued them a refund.

00:09:40.640 But that's not the point.

00:09:41.640 The point is, Tommy wanted to speak with them.

00:09:43.640 They wanted to hear from him.

00:09:45.640 But the government said he couldn't.

00:09:47.640 Now, if you know anything about immigration, and I think you do because it's really one of the number one issues in Canada,

00:09:52.640 you know that hundreds of thousands of people come into Canada illegally on top of the hundreds of thousands that come here sort of semi-legally.

00:10:02.640 For example, you saw the news the other day that 36,000 foreign students when they got here said,

00:10:09.640 Just kidding. I'm not a foreign student. I'm actually seeking asylum.

00:10:13.640 My point is that there's a lot of gray area there.

00:10:15.640 But in your life, have you ever seen Justin Trudeau's immigration police send eight cops to arrest somebody?

00:10:23.640 Have you ever seen them put a geographical restriction on them?

00:10:27.640 I'll tell you what happens in Roxham Road, which we've been studying for years.

00:10:30.640 The police actively welcome and assist people crossing into Canada illegally.

00:10:36.640 They detain them for a few minutes to take some notes, and then they set them free.

00:10:40.640 There's no geographical restrictions.

00:10:42.640 In fact, they stay here, get welfare and other benefits.

00:10:45.640 And if they ever have a court hearing, it's many years in the future.

00:10:48.640 And really, they have zero risk of being deported.

00:10:50.640 That's why so many people crossed over Roxham Road into Canada, because Donald Trump or the American system under Biden had ruled that they were illegal.

00:10:59.640 They were going to be deported from America. 0.98

00:11:01.640 But they knew that Justin Trudeau had turned Canada into a sucker. 0.97

00:11:04.640 So they crossed over into Canada where we don't enforce our laws. 0.90

00:11:08.640 My point is, have you ever seen what was done to Tommy Robinson done to any other migrant, legal or not?

00:11:15.640 Well, I have not.

00:11:16.640 So what do you do when you have a police order that says you're not allowed to leave Southern Alberta?

00:11:22.640 Well, I took Tommy and his ally out to Banff for a day just to look around.

00:11:28.640 Unfortunately, it was a little bit rainy.

00:11:30.640 But other than tourism, what do you do?

00:11:32.640 Tommy didn't come here for tourist purposes.

00:11:35.640 He came here to speak to Canadians who have a right to hear them.

00:11:39.640 And believe it or not, Tommy Robinson, even though he's not a Canadian national, has a right to speak.

00:11:44.640 So we retained a dream team of lawyers, Michael Green and Navi Dhaliwal, of one of the top immigration firms that just happens to be based in Calgary.

00:11:54.640 And they came with us to make the case to the immigration officials that what they had done with their ban on his travel was highly irregular.

00:12:04.640 And that it smacked of a political move rather than a legal one.

00:12:08.640 Now, I have to tell you, the Calgary immigration officers were very polite.

00:12:12.640 And Tommy would even call them gentlemanly.

00:12:15.640 And I saw that for myself.

00:12:17.640 Obviously, this was being directed by someone else, not the Calgary branch office.

00:12:21.640 I mean, like I say, have you ever heard of three SUVs and eight cops doing a rendition style arrest of someone?

00:12:30.640 I've just I've just never heard of that in Canada before.

00:12:33.640 Well, I think it was the combination of having an absolute top notch legal team and the fact that tens of millions of people around the world saw Justin Trudeau's heavy handedness.

00:12:45.640 It was a combination of the court of law threat and court of public opinion embarrassment that today caused the Canadian government to issue a letter to Tommy Robinson that's truly incredible.

00:12:58.640 Now, I don't want to show you the letter because it's Tommy's legal matter and I don't want to violate any privacy in there.

00:13:04.640 But I have read it and here's what it says.

00:13:07.640 No charges against Tommy Robinson of any sort.

00:13:10.640 He was never charged.

00:13:11.640 In fact, he is not being deported.

00:13:14.640 He is allowed to leave after our Toronto event.

00:13:18.640 There's no ban on him.

00:13:20.640 There's no prosecution.

00:13:21.640 And like I say, we are allowed to go to that Toronto event.

00:13:25.640 Can you believe it?

00:13:26.640 And I'm going with him tomorrow.

00:13:28.640 I'm in Calgary right now.

00:13:29.640 We're going to get on a plane tomorrow and we're going to go to Toronto.

00:13:31.640 And there actually are some tickets left.

00:13:33.640 If you're in the greater Toronto area, go to TommyTour.ca.

00:13:37.640 That's T-O-U-R.ca. 1.00

00:13:40.640 I'm very excited about that.

00:13:42.640 I mean, this is the guy that Trudeau does not want you to hear from and sent eight cops to stop you from hearing from him.

00:13:51.640 I'm very excited about it.

00:13:53.640 We're going to have a VIP reception with Tommy at 5 p.m.

00:13:55.640 where you can have a handshake and a selfie and talk to him one on one.

00:13:59.640 And then at six o'clock, the main doors open 630.

00:14:02.640 The show begins.

00:14:03.640 I'm actually thrilled about it.

00:14:04.640 And like I say, you know, you've heard of the Streisand effect.

00:14:08.640 I don't know if you know what that means.

00:14:09.640 Barbara Streisand had a house in Malibu.

00:14:11.640 And someone took a picture of it and put it on the Internet and literally no one looked at it.

00:14:16.640 But she sued to get it taken off the Internet. 0.95

00:14:18.640 And because she did that, that house has been seen millions of times precisely because she tried to stop people from seeing it.

00:14:26.640 The Streisand effect.

00:14:28.640 Well, that's what's happening here.

00:14:30.640 Tommy Robinson was speaking to Canadians.

00:14:33.640 He was.

00:14:34.640 But it wasn't a spectacular international incident until Trudeau invoked the Streisand effect.

00:14:42.640 By trying to silence Tommy, he suggested, well, maybe he's got something interesting to say.

00:14:47.640 One last point.

00:14:49.640 Goldie Gamari is the name of an Ontario Conservative member of the provincial parliament.

00:14:54.640 And although Rebel News has had some disagreements with Goldie over the years, she's been doing an outstanding job lately of fighting against the Hamas protesters in Toronto.

00:15:03.640 Goldie Gamari herself is Persian.

00:15:05.640 And as you may know, many people who are Persian or Iranian hate the Ayatollahs, hate the fascism that has run their country for 40 years.

00:15:14.640 So Goldie has been a great advocate of Canadian values and standing up against the Islamofascism. 0.99

00:15:22.640 So she had a chat with Tommy Robinson.

00:15:24.640 That's all.

00:15:25.640 Just a chat.

00:15:26.640 They were in different cities.

00:15:27.640 A chat.

00:15:28.640 And because of that, the Muslim Brotherhood group called the National Council of Canadian Muslims put out a statement demanding she be fired.

00:15:36.640 And wouldn't you know it, to his eternal discredit, Doug Ford fired Goldie Gamari from the party. 0.97

00:15:43.640 Kicked her out of the Conservative caucus.

00:15:45.640 It was even worse than that.

00:15:47.640 They demanded an apology from her the day before.

00:15:50.640 She gave it.

00:15:51.640 And despite that humiliation, they fired her nonetheless.

00:15:55.640 That's terrible.

00:15:56.640 I wouldn't have thought that Doug Ford has less tolerance for freedom of speech than Justin Trudeau, would you?

00:16:03.640 And yeah, that's my report here from Calgary.

00:16:05.640 It's been an adventure.

00:16:06.640 And it's only possible because of you.

00:16:09.640 I mean, here, let me show you the interview that Tommy and I and the two lawyers had.

00:16:15.640 And you'll hear what I mean.

00:16:16.640 Here's Tommy and me, Michael Green and Navi Dalewal talking right after we got the good news.

00:16:20.640 Take a look.

00:16:21.640 So we're here with our legal team that's been hired to try and get around these conditions with Michael and Navi.

00:16:26.640 So, Michael, just what are we expecting today?

00:16:28.640 What are we here for today?

00:16:29.640 So we're going to be meeting with the Canada Border Services Agency.

00:16:32.640 They've kindly agreed to meet with us to review terms and conditions of your release.

00:16:37.640 And we're trying to get a relaxation.

00:16:40.640 Hopefully, they'll be agreeable to it so that you can go to your speaking event in Toronto on Sunday.

00:16:45.640 Did they give any comment or do you have any view on how this looks around freedom of speech in Canada?

00:16:50.640 Well, it's hard to say.

00:16:51.640 I mean, the optics of it look bad.

00:16:54.640 They look like they were trying to prevent you from speaking publicly.

00:16:58.640 That may not have been their intention.

00:16:59.640 It's the effect.

00:17:00.640 So we're hoping that they'll walk it back.

00:17:03.640 And you think we'll have a decision of that soon of them?

00:17:06.640 I think we'll find it soon.

00:17:07.640 It may not be today.

00:17:08.640 It might be tomorrow.

00:17:09.640 But I think we'll have a decision soon.

00:17:10.640 And if they don't agree to relax the conditions, is there another process?

00:17:13.640 Can we go through to court?

00:17:14.640 Yeah.

00:17:15.640 So we've already put them on notice that if they don't agree, then we want to have an expedited hearing

00:17:19.640 to determine, to make our submissions why they should relax your conditions.

00:17:23.640 Well, I'm incredibly grateful that you took this on a short notice as well.

00:17:26.640 So thank you.

00:17:28.640 So, I have my passport back.

00:17:32.640 I'm on my way to Toronto, which is a massive win, which wouldn't have happened without your

00:17:37.640 support and without the lawyers.

00:17:38.640 Okay?

00:17:39.640 It just wouldn't have happened.

00:17:40.640 I wasn't even allowed to go home.

00:17:41.640 I'm now going to travel to Toronto, give my speech, exercise my free speech in the best

00:17:44.640 way possible at an event.

00:17:46.640 You can still get tickets to that.

00:17:47.640 It's at TommyTour.ca.

00:17:49.640 It's on Sunday.

00:17:50.640 And, yeah, I've had my passport returned.

00:17:54.640 Ezra, what's your thoughts?

00:17:55.640 Tommy, this is amazing.

00:17:56.640 I mean, David and Goliath doesn't even capture it.

00:18:00.640 Not only are you free to go and give a speech in Toronto, but there's no deportation order,

00:18:06.640 there's no ban.

00:18:07.640 You are leaving as a welcome and honoured guest.

00:18:11.640 We're delighted to have you.

00:18:12.640 And every single Canadian who saw that arrest the other day knows that has never happened

00:18:17.640 before.

00:18:18.640 Trudeau has never arrested, let alone sent eight cops to arrest someone for immigration reasons.

00:18:23.640 He's never banned them from travelling.

00:18:25.640 It was two-tier policing.

00:18:26.640 And I want to thank our super lawyers for fighting for freedom.

00:18:30.640 I haven't got their legal bill yet.

00:18:32.640 If you want to help me, go to SaveTommy.com.

00:18:34.640 But all credit to the lawyers.

00:18:35.640 And I want to tell you, sometimes you think you can't win when you fight the government.

00:18:39.640 I don't think we can win.

00:18:40.640 But you've got to try.

00:18:41.640 And today's a great victory day.

00:18:43.640 Congrats, Tommy.

00:18:44.640 I'm happy.

00:18:45.640 And, Michael, thank you.

00:18:47.640 My pleasure.

00:18:48.640 My pleasure.

00:18:49.640 I'm glad that you had a positive outcome.

00:18:50.640 It was a great outcome.

00:18:52.640 I wasn't expecting that outcome either, if I'm honest.

00:18:54.640 I wasn't expecting it.

00:18:55.640 And then I know that behind the scenes, you were looking at every other avenue of what

00:18:57.640 we could legally do, if not.

00:18:59.640 Yeah, no, we were looking at the other options.

00:19:01.640 And frankly, this was the best option and the one we hoped for.

00:19:04.640 And luckily, they were very reasonable about it.

00:19:07.640 You know, I got to pass off to them.

00:19:09.640 They did not have to do this.

00:19:10.640 And I'm just glad they did.

00:19:12.640 So am I.

00:19:13.640 And I don't think without your support, Navi, as well.

00:19:15.640 Thank you.

00:19:16.640 Thank you so much.

00:19:17.640 We're glad at the positive outcome.

00:19:18.640 And I'm looking forward to that event on Sunday.

00:19:20.640 Without lawyers, honestly, without lawyers, I'd be stuck in Calgary.

00:19:24.640 It's my daughter's birthday next week, which is what I was concerned about.

00:19:26.640 I didn't want to say it publicly.

00:19:27.640 It's my daughter's birthday.

00:19:28.640 I weren't even allowed to go home.

00:19:29.640 So I'm not just allowed to go do my tour.

00:19:31.640 I've got my passport back, okay?

00:19:33.640 Free to go.

00:19:34.640 So I'll be going to Toronto.

00:19:35.640 I'm excited.

00:19:37.640 I'm shocked, as well.

00:19:38.640 And it is a David versus Goliath.

00:19:40.640 And it shows.

00:19:41.640 For me, it proves that what's happened this week shouldn't have happened.

00:19:45.640 I should have been free to go to Edmonton.

00:19:46.640 I should have been free to travel this country.

00:19:48.640 I should have been free to give my discussions and my talks.

00:19:51.640 And now I'm coming to Toronto.

00:19:52.640 So make sure you're there.

00:19:53.640 TommyTour.ca.

00:19:54.640 All right?

00:19:55.640 Let me make a final thank you to Justin Trudeau.

00:19:58.640 Because if he hadn't arrested Tommy, this whole thing wouldn't have blown up.

00:20:02.640 30 million people saw the video of that arrest.

00:20:05.640 And he turned this into a free speech crisis and we won.

00:20:09.640 If he had just left you alone, Tommy, you would have done your tour and gone home

00:20:13.640 and it wouldn't have been a big deal.

00:20:14.640 Justin Trudeau, once again, shot himself in the foot.

00:20:17.640 You helped increase freedom for Canadians.

00:20:20.640 I just wanted to say that.

00:20:22.640 Do you know what I'll say as well?

00:20:23.640 Do you know those officers couldn't have been nicer the entire time?

00:20:25.640 It's true.

00:20:26.640 Start to finish, yeah?

00:20:27.640 It's true.

00:20:28.640 So even when I was arrested and got to a police station, they could not have been nicer.

00:20:30.640 So they didn't want to do it.

00:20:31.640 It was very clear they did not want to carry out that action.

00:20:34.640 They were forced to.

00:20:35.640 So yeah.

00:20:36.640 I'm on the way to Toronto, man.

00:20:37.640 And I'm buzzing.

00:20:38.640 See you there.

00:20:39.640 You see my point?

00:20:40.640 It would be impossible for Tommy to have won that battle without two things.

00:20:43.640 Number one, the court of public opinion pressure that was put on the Trudeau government.

00:20:48.640 But number two, how do you pay for one of Canada's top immigration lawyers,

00:20:52.640 or frankly, two of Canada's top immigration lawyers?

00:20:55.640 How do you pay for that if you're not independently wealthy?

00:20:59.640 You can't.

00:21:00.640 No normal person could do that.

00:21:02.640 But a thousand normal people together, an army of Davids can take down any Goliath.

00:21:07.640 And so I want to say thanks to you.

00:21:09.640 If you chipped in to SaveTommy.com or haven't had a chance to but feel like doing so now, please do.

00:21:16.640 We still haven't got the legal bills.

00:21:18.640 Our victory is still fresh.

00:21:20.640 But I think that you have to do it.

00:21:23.640 This win wasn't just a win for Tommy.

00:21:26.640 It wasn't just a win for Rebel News and the people of Toronto who bought tickets to hear him.

00:21:32.640 It's a rebuke of Trudeau's censorship and political control that has infiltrated every aspect of bureaucracy and politics.

00:21:44.640 Every institution in Canada that Trudeau has put his mitts on has become more and more partisan and taken off mission.

00:21:51.640 This is a slap.

00:21:53.640 This is a splash of cold water telling them you cannot use immigration for political and partisan purposes.

00:22:00.640 A great victory.

00:22:01.640 It belongs to Tommy for fighting.

00:22:04.640 It belongs to the lawyers for their wits.

00:22:06.640 But it belongs to you if you help chip in to pay for that lawyer.

00:22:10.640 I'm enjoying the rest of this lovely day here.

00:22:12.640 I'll be in Toronto.

00:22:13.640 I'll see you on Sunday night, June 30th.

00:22:16.640 We'll give you the location the day of.

00:22:18.640 We don't want to tip off the bad guys.

00:22:19.640 They'll probably come, but we will have heavy security at the event.

00:22:22.640 I want to see you there in Toronto.

00:22:24.640 Go to TommyTour.ca for the details.

00:22:27.640 Now, let me leave you with a video that I really enjoyed.

00:22:30.640 This wasn't the only legal battle we've had in the last week.

00:22:32.640 As you know, we sent our truck around, our billboard truck.

00:22:37.640 The Toronto police chief didn't like that much, but we went to the people.

00:22:41.640 Sarah Stock, our new reporter, went to the streets and showed people the truck and said,

00:22:46.640 What do you think of it?

00:22:47.640 Here's what Torontonians said.

00:22:49.640 Sarah Stock for Rebel News.

00:22:50.640 We're at Bathurst and Shepherd in Toronto.

00:22:52.640 And behind me is a giant video truck showing videos of Hamas hate rallies all over Toronto

00:22:59.640 and saying we need to deport or charge people who commit crimes while they're protesting.

00:23:03.640 Now, this truck has gone absolutely viral over social media this past week as well as even in the mainstream news.

00:23:10.640 And the Toronto police has even said that they are going to investigate this truck as a hate crime.

00:23:16.640 And they were looking for the owner of the truck.

00:23:18.640 Now, the owner of that truck is my boss, Ezra Levant.

00:23:21.640 And if he were to be charged under the criminal code with a hate crime, he could receive up to two years in prison.

00:23:27.640 What happened to freedom of speech in Canada if you can't show a political message on a truck, whether or not you agree with it without going to jail for a maximum of two years?

00:23:36.640 We're going to talk to some Toronto locals in Bathurst and Shepherd area and find out what they think about this truck and whether or not we should have the freedom of speech to drive something like this around in Toronto in Canada or freedom of speech is absolutely gone.

00:23:51.640 Have you seen this video before playing on this truck? It's gone viral this week.

00:23:55.640 I've heard about it. I haven't actually seen the video on the truck.

00:23:59.640 I'm actually very disappointed that they are condemning the truck instead of condemning what's going on.

00:24:08.640 These pro-Hamas rallies should be illegal in our country and it's ridiculous what they're doing.

00:24:14.640 I've seen it on the news the last day, but like freedom of speech, I guess, you know, do your thing. It'll piss a lot of people off.

00:24:21.640 But we should have the right to do it, you think?

00:24:24.640 I think you should have the right to do it, yeah.

00:24:26.640 I'm just walking by and seeing this video and I'm very glad that I walked by this and happened to be here. So that's great. I'm glad you guys are here.

00:24:35.640 Freedom of speech is getting very difficult in Canada. So especially with the police, the police said they were going to look into it.

00:24:43.640 And then I saw that one of the police officers was actually at one of the mosques and gave me information while it was still an ongoing investigation, which generally they don't do.

00:24:56.640 So I think a lot of people are upset with that, too. It just seems like there's biased policing.

00:25:02.640 Nobody go to Hamas home and start to kill people. They come to home to Israel, but they have a right to defend themselves.

00:25:10.640 Do you think that the owner of this truck should be criminally charged?

00:25:14.640 No, no, no, no, no, no, no. How come?

00:25:18.640 They have the rights and they have the rights to live. They have the rights to oppose. And we have the freedom also to live, right?

00:25:30.640 And these are people. These are human beings. Everybody should be treated very well and fairly.

00:25:37.640 What if it's just political language, like you're talking about an idea? Is that a crime?

00:25:41.640 That's fine. That's the freedom of speech, right? Yeah, I don't have that.

00:25:44.640 Basically just showing, you know, the pro-Hamas demonstrators and kind of what they've been doing on the streets of Toronto.

00:25:49.640 Oh, yeah. Free Palestine. This is really ridiculous. And I'm on camera putting on my sunscreen lotion. 50 plus. Kids, put on your sunscreen lotion. It's hot out there. 0.87

00:25:59.640 Do you think it should be a crime to drive a truck like this? No. No?

00:26:03.640 They should be doing more to get rid of those people.

00:26:06.640 It depends on what they are driving it around for. If it's for a good cause. It all depends.

00:26:12.640 Who decides if it's a good cause or not? Do you think the government decides that? The police?

00:26:19.640 From the police? I think all society. Rational thinking.

00:26:25.640 You know, this is the freedom here, right? This is all opinion for exactly for this message, for example.

00:26:33.640 The opinion like people have some own opinion or something like this.

00:26:37.640 No, it's free speech. You can do whatever you want.

00:26:39.640 It's a hate crime because you're promoting hate.

00:26:41.640 I think what the truck is showing is reality. I think what the pro-Hamas rallies are showing

00:26:48.640 is hateful and misinformation.

00:26:51.640 Well, I know that they're not, that Rebel News is not getting funds like the rest of the mainstream media.

00:26:57.640 So I don't think it's a threat. It's just providing an alternative new perspective.

00:27:04.640 You know, so this one's saying from the river to the sea, invest from war crimes, whatever.

00:27:09.640 Oh, wow.

00:27:10.640 So it's very similar, but it's kind of opposite messaging.

00:27:13.640 Yeah.

00:27:14.640 Did you see the Toronto police say they're going to investigate that truck as a hate crime?

00:27:17.640 No, no.

00:27:18.640 No, I didn't. And I heard about the, from the sea to whatever, right?

00:27:23.640 But I didn't know they actually had a truck too.

00:27:26.640 So yeah, that's really alarming to be honest.

00:27:28.640 Yeah, the double standard.

00:27:29.640 Yeah.

00:27:30.640 Yeah.

00:27:31.640 100%. Rebel News is the best.

00:27:32.640 Thanks.

00:27:33.640 You're welcome.

00:27:34.640 So why everybody blame Israel telling, negotiate with terrorists.

00:27:39.640 No, no, negotiate.

00:27:40.640 We're not fighting with good people. We're fighting with terrorists.

00:27:43.640 The pro-Israel supporter, they're really doing a very peaceful rally.

00:27:49.640 But on the other side, I hope that there will be no any violence.

00:27:54.640 They can voice out, they can do their actions, but not to the extreme.

00:27:58.640 You don't want to see any extremity.

00:28:00.640 No, no, it's not good.

00:28:02.640 So there's a double standard.

00:28:04.640 So how come the people can protest on campus and can't counter?

00:28:12.640 You're pro-freedom of speech in Canada, right?

00:28:15.640 Yes, of course.

00:28:16.640 Everybody has freedom of speech, exactly.

00:28:19.640 But we have to think about, you know, something like what is true, what is not true.

00:28:24.640 Something like that.

00:28:25.640 Yeah.

00:28:26.640 Because, for example, Hamas. 0.83

00:28:29.640 Hamas, this, my opinion, this will only lie, lie, lie, lie every time. 1.00

00:28:34.640 Sometimes, some things are better left unsaid.

00:28:37.640 I think it's just showing what the truth, and that's what's been happening in Canada.

00:28:42.640 I'm not sure why that can be considered as hateful.

00:28:47.640 Regardless, if this was a pro-Palestine truck, pro-Israel, you should be able to show the message in Canada.

00:28:52.640 Yeah.

00:28:53.640 Essentially, yeah.

00:28:54.640 Yeah.

00:28:55.640 Okay.

00:28:56.640 That's my stance.

00:28:57.640 Thank you.

00:28:58.640 Well, that's our show for today.

00:28:59.640 I'm feeling great.

00:29:00.640 Until next time, on behalf of all of us at Rebel News, to you at home, good night, and keep fighting for freedom.

00:29:17.640 Thank you.

00:29:18.640 Thank you.
