00:00:00.380 Hello, my friends. Special show today. Wow, we were covering the detonations in Ottawa in real time.
00:00:06.640 Chrystia Freeland just ambushing Justin Trudeau with a bitter criticism and a resignation,
00:00:13.580 throwing the whole party into disarray, calling for more resignations.
00:00:16.840 But I think Trudeau will tough it out. He always has before.
00:00:20.160 Things are worse than ever, but what does he care?

00:00:43.220 We don't take any money from Trudeau, and it shows.
00:00:46.240 Before I go, I just want to mention one last thing before I let you listen to the podcast.
00:00:50.680 You know, nowadays, it feels like censorship is creeping into every corner of our lives,
00:00:55.740 whether it's the news we access, our posts on social media, or even how we choose to manage our
00:01:00.680 family's wealth. With companies like BlackRock amassing substantial voting power through passive
00:01:06.280 investing, it's up to people like you to take back the power of your investments by working with a
00:01:11.280 firm that shares your values. That's why we have partnered with Rocklink Investment Partners.
00:01:17.300 Rocklink, with a C at the end, is independent, which means they have the freedom to invest without
00:01:24.600 being influenced by the globalist agenda. They focus on creating portfolios of excellent
00:01:29.880 businesses, not on ESG and DEI or the latest woke trend. Call them at 905-631-5462,
00:01:39.360 or email them at info at rocklink.com. That's rocklink with a C, info at rocklink.com. All right,
00:01:47.960 here's today's podcast.
00:01:54.000 Tonight, Chrystia Freeland drops a bomb on Justin Trudeau, criticizing him and resigning on the same
00:02:00.320 day. What's next? It's December 16th, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.
00:02:04.220 You know, I just got the copy of my new book, hot in my hands here, Trudeau's secret plan,
00:02:24.940 what he'll do to us if he wins again. I'm not sure if he's going to win again. I don't think
00:02:29.480 there's a path to victory for him very likely, but what he will try to do and what he will do
00:02:35.040 in the remaining weeks and months of his tenure will be astonishing. And I sort of lay that out
00:02:40.240 in the book. By the way, thanks to everybody who has bought the book so far. Climbed up,
00:02:44.360 I think, number 10 on the bestsellers list of all books, number one political book in canon over the
00:02:49.440 weekend, so thank you for that. Anyhow, I want to tell you about this amazing day, amazing in terms of
00:02:55.040 the ice breaking in like a mighty river that's frozen over and then the ice breaks and things
00:03:00.660 start to move. Chrystia Freeland, who has been the essential deputy to Justin Trudeau for his entire
00:03:06.580 tenure, I mean, deputy prime minister and finance minister and sort of acting foreign minister in
00:03:11.960 the case of Ukraine and acting intergovernmental affairs ministers and, and, and. She really has done
00:03:18.720 a bit of everything. And even though I don't think she's the sharpest knife in the drawer,
00:03:22.220 she is hardworking. You have to give her that. And for her to have been the essential loyalist for
00:03:29.620 so long, and then to quit, and not just quit, but quit just hours before she was scheduled to delay,
00:03:36.080 to deliver her mini budget update, throwing the government into such disarray, managing to keep
00:03:41.480 that a secret, by the way. Just incredible to look at and to see the scrambling in the government
00:03:47.220 benches. Anyways, I did a special two hour live stream about this today while it was happening
00:03:52.320 in real time. And I, and I think I made some points that I would like to share with you. Obviously not
00:03:57.340 the full two hours of it. So we've boiled it down to the essence, but after thinking about it for half
00:04:03.060 a day, here's my thinking. I don't actually think that he will win the next election. I think that's
00:04:09.040 very unlikely. But I am absolutely certain that he will not give up easily. He will not bend to
00:04:16.680 pressure. He doesn't care what MP says. He looks at MPs as people he has given bonuses and benefits
00:04:23.480 to. Even Chrystia Freeland, all these people would be no name nobodies were it not for Justin Trudeau
00:04:29.900 selecting them, anointing them, making them his MPs. So I don't think he respects his MPs. If anything,
00:04:35.860 his contempt for them, he would look at an MP saying, please resign and say, how dare you? I
00:04:40.980 gave you everything you have. And now you turn against me. You don't deserve me. He's had that
00:04:45.500 kind of aloofness and contempt since his first days as PM. And remember his own father, Pierre Trudeau,
00:04:52.100 said MPs are nobodies 100 feet off Parliament Hill. So I think that Justin Trudeau simply is not a
00:04:59.340 quitter, even if the odds are against him. You're going to have to wrench it out of his cold, dead hands.
00:05:03.720 And I think the most astonishing thing after Chrystia Freeland's letter today was Jagmeet
00:05:09.080 Singh saying, I think Trudeau should resign. But when being pressed on, it says that he's refusing to
00:05:15.920 commit to voting no confidence. So Jagmeet Singh is completely fine with things slouching forward.
00:05:22.320 And even if you are a liberal MP who's a rebel, what are you going to do? You're going to force a
00:05:29.360 non-confidence vote now in the final days of the House sitting in 2024. So we're thrown into an
00:05:36.540 election over the Christmas break. I mean, you're going to get slaughtered. And of course, Justin
00:05:40.760 Trudeau would most likely be the candidate in that campaign. I mean, you don't have time to replace
00:05:46.300 him. Just what exactly are you proposing to do? So I think Trudeau will survive this detonation. It is a
00:05:52.280 huge detonation. I think the government has lost all credibility, even watching the press
00:05:57.200 scrum Jagmeet Singh and scrum. I mean, obviously, Trudeau was hiding from the press today.
00:06:03.500 Marks a sea change. People see Trudeau as dead man walking, but he believes he can win. He believes
00:06:10.460 he's the chosen one. And he has won long shots before. And remember my theory I shared with you
00:06:15.560 the other day, Trudeau doesn't want to run against Pierre Paglia. All the polls say he'll lose that.
00:06:21.640 But if Trudeau can run against Trump, now that's a more even matchup because Trump is not that well
00:06:26.660 liked in Canada. And if Trump actually does impose 25% tariffs on Canada, it'll be so shocking to our
00:06:33.580 economy and cause such damage that Trudeau will be able to say, Trump is the cause of your evils,
00:06:38.880 not me. Trump is the cause of our poverty, not me. So vote for me instead of Trump and Trump's
00:06:45.560 puppet in Canada, Pierre Paglia. But it's a long shot. I think it's going to be highly destructive
00:06:50.140 to the country. I don't think it will work, but I bet that's what he does in the months ahead. So
00:06:54.420 I think that Trudeau will be in power as long as he likes. I think that we will wind up going to the
00:07:01.660 polls in September of 2025. And when I look through the things that he intends to do with his remaining
00:07:08.340 months, they are in fact terrifying. On that note, let me leave you with the highlights of my two-hour
00:07:15.080 live stream today on Chrystia Freeland's war, insurrection, if you will, against Justin Trudeau.
00:07:30.320 Hi, everybody. Ezra LeVant here. I'm here hosting the live stream. What a pleasure to be back in this
00:07:35.040 chair. Normally, my colleagues do this honor. But today, I've got so much to say because Chrystia
00:07:41.520 Freeland, the deputy prime minister and the finance minister, has resigned from cabinet in a flourish,
00:07:47.320 in a bombshell. And it was so interesting because over the weekend, she was posting videos in her
00:07:53.720 capacity as finance minister and talking about the future and making promises. And in no way
00:07:58.780 was she telegraphing that she intended to quit this morning. And the reason that's interesting
00:08:06.340 is that today, in fact, this morning, the government was set to introduce its fall economic statement,
00:08:13.460 sort of an update on the budget, sort of a before we go into Christmas, here's how it's going. We'll
00:08:18.960 adjust a few numbers. Here's how revenues are going. Here's how expenses, here's how deficits are
00:08:23.240 going. And it's been sort of weird over the last couple of weeks as people have said, when are you
00:08:27.700 going to have this fall economic update? And Chrystia Freeland wouldn't really answer. And she said,
00:08:32.200 it'll happen before the end of the year. It was really strange. It was clear she didn't want to
00:08:36.860 have the bad news hung around her neck. And there seemed to be a quarrel. Last night, the National
00:08:43.020 Post had a scoop, they said, that the $250 per person Christmas gift that Trudeau was promising
00:08:50.440 might be scrapped. So there was obviously a lot of tension out there. And then this astonishing
00:08:57.640 letter published to Twitter this morning by Chrystia Freeland, an ambush. Trudeau had apparently on
00:09:07.840 Friday told her, I want you to read this fall economic update. And then I want to fire you as
00:09:15.180 finance minister and have you take some other job and presumably put his buddy Mark Carney as the new
00:09:22.560 finance minister. So just to understand, Trudeau fired her and then said, oh, but I want you to go out
00:09:29.340 and brand yourself, your last public act as finance minister to take ownership of this disastrous
00:09:38.300 budget update. And Chrystia Freeland must have nodded as she does. She does a lot of nodding.
00:09:45.940 And this morning, just an incredible letter. I want to read the whole thing in full, if I may. Go
00:09:53.840 ahead and put it on the screen. It was dated today. Dear Prime Minister, it's been the honor of my life
00:10:02.760 to serve in government, working for Canada and Canadians. We have accomplished a lot together.
00:10:07.860 On Friday, you told me you no longer want me to serve as your finance minister and offered me another
00:10:12.880 position in the cabinet. She doesn't say which one. Upon reflection, I have concluded that the only
00:10:20.400 honest and viable path is for me to resign from the cabinet. So she's not just, basically, if she
00:10:27.080 can't stay on as finance minister, she's done, she says. To be effective, a minister must speak on behalf
00:10:33.480 of the prime minister. And with his full confidence in making your decision, you made clear that I no
00:10:38.560 longer credibly enjoy that confidence and possess the authority that comes with it. I think that's true.
00:10:45.720 For the past number of weeks, you and I have found ourselves at odds about the best path forward for
00:10:50.880 Canada. I think that's probably true, although she certainly said whatever he told her to say, didn't she?
00:10:59.320 Our country today faces a grave challenge.
00:11:02.180 The incoming administration in the United States is pursuing a policy of aggressive economic
00:11:08.080 nationalism, including a threat of 25 percent tariffs. We need to take that threat extremely
00:11:14.100 seriously. Well, I think here she's fudging it a bit. Trump doesn't want a trade war now. He just
00:11:20.640 wants us to close our borders to illegal drugs and illegal migrants. But Trudeau and Freeland love to
00:11:26.400 fight Trump. So they're saying, well, we got to fight. How about just fix the border? But I'll read a little
00:11:30.920 bit more about what she says. That means keeping our fiscal powder dry today. So we have the reserves
00:11:38.220 we may need for a coming tariff war. That means eschewing costly political gimmicks. Wow. Well,
00:11:45.540 she's obviously talking about this GST holiday and the $250 bonus, costly political gimmicks. Isn't
00:11:51.360 that great? Just the other day she was defending them, which we can ill afford and which make Canadians
00:11:58.340 doubt that we recognize the gravity of the moment. It's sort of funny that she says we need to keep
00:12:03.300 our fiscal powder dry so we have reserves. We don't have any reserves. I mean, it's a $62 billion
00:12:08.940 deficit. What reserves? They burned those long ago. Let me read the letter. That means pushing back
00:12:16.940 against America first economic nationalism with a determined effort to fight for capital and investment
00:12:22.460 and the jobs they bring. That means working in good faith and humility with the premiers of the
00:12:28.820 provinces and territories of our great and diverse country and building a true Team Canada response.
00:12:34.940 Olivia, can you pull up the clip of the president of SoftBank making his announcement with Trump today?
00:12:42.600 I want to show that in a moment because it's relevant here.
00:12:45.060 Um, but what, uh, what you see here is Christian Freeland saying we should be working with the
00:12:52.780 premiers because you've seen the premiers take the lead here. You've seen the premier of Alberta,
00:12:57.100 Danielle Smith announced drones and a border patrol and, um, a red zone and sniffer dogs to patrol the
00:13:04.200 border. You've seen Francois Legault, the premier of Quebec's actually meet with Trump very briefly at the
00:13:09.920 Notre Dame cathedral in Paris and said, look, no one wants to trade war. Let's fix the border.
00:13:17.140 So you have premiers saying, let's fix the border other than Doug Ford, who seems just to be, um,
00:13:22.880 mimicking whatever Trudeau says. Freeland is saying, let's have a Team Canada approach. Um,
00:13:29.400 it, it sort of makes me laugh to fight for capital and investment in the jobs they bring.
00:13:35.160 You know, it was tough enough for Canada to fight against the United States economy when Trudeau was
00:13:42.600 ratcheting up and Chrystia Freeland was ratcheting up the carbon tax every April Fool's Day and all the
00:13:48.300 other punishments they put on. But now that Trump is in, he's not even in office yet.
00:13:54.220 Uh, the other day he, I don't know if you can find this one, Olivia, on short notice. Trump the other
00:13:59.220 day, just apropos of nothing tweeted, anyone who comes to America with a billion dollars or more,
00:14:06.820 we will clear the, we will expedite you through all the regulations, uh, especially the environmental
00:14:12.920 ones. I don't know if you saw that. It was just, it wasn't pegged to any news. He just sort of said,
00:14:20.100 it was a very short tweet. He just said, if you can look for the word billion, if you search Trump
00:14:24.720 and then billion, maybe it shows up. It's not, it's not critical that you find it, but it's just,
00:14:30.500 I mean, if you are a billionaire anywhere in the world, Trump wants you to bring your money,
00:14:36.720 uh, to America so badly that he'll just, he's thinking of it and he just announces it. Um,
00:14:44.260 bring your billion dollars plus to America and we will roll out the red carpet and we'll expedite the,
00:14:50.340 the red tape, especially the environmental red tape. Just, just a statement, but it flies the
00:14:57.800 flag, doesn't it? That America is back. Their economy is going to roar again. And you can have
00:15:05.600 that, or you can have the European union, which is regulating you to death, or you can have Canada
00:15:10.020 that's taxing you to death. You know, one of the most successful Canadian companies is a tech
00:15:13.920 company called Shopify. You've probably seen Shopify. It powers so many online stores, by the way.
00:15:21.940 I'm surprised they haven't moved to America. I mean, it must, it's just must be tough operating
00:15:27.120 in Canada. Um, when they just look across to where most of their customers are and you don't worry
00:15:33.560 about it. It's just, it was just a one line tweet about him saying billionaires welcome because look
00:15:38.000 at a billionaire who took him up on his offer. Maybe that's what happened. Maybe Trump knew
00:15:42.460 that the president of SoftBank, which is one of the biggest investment, um, financial companies
00:15:50.560 in Japan. Maybe he sort of was doing a deal with this guy and it was still under wraps and he just
00:15:57.700 tweeted, Hey, any billionaire who comes here will help out. Just take a listen to this guy. This,
00:16:01.880 this is the president of SoftBank. He's also a major shareholder in it. This is one of Japan's
00:16:06.800 richest men, uh, Korean by ethnicity. Um, he just apropos, nothing comes to America
00:16:12.480 and announces, well, I'll let you listen to him. Look at this stunning announcement. So in Canada,
00:16:18.660 you have a total meltdown of our political system. Our finance minister was fired or quit. I'm not
00:16:23.680 sure the best way to describe it. Our deficit is at a record level. Carbon taxes are going up.
00:16:29.820 We're an absolute laughingstock. And by contrast, look what's going on in America. Take a look at
00:16:35.020 this guy to go. And we were discussing and president Trump said, masa, you know, double
00:16:43.400 that is not enough. Maybe, you know, go for more. Right. That's all right. I'm going to ask him
00:16:48.880 right now. Would you make it $200 million? Well, my promise is 100, but you know, he's, he's now asking
00:17:05.820 to do more. I think, you know, with your leadership, my partnership with you, with your support, I will,
00:17:15.000 I will try to make it happen. That's good. All right. $200. He'll make it happen. $200 million
00:17:22.060 investment. He is a great negotiator. He's a brilliant guy and an unbelievable job. And the
00:17:31.740 people of Japan and all over the world are very proud of him. They have tremendous respect for
00:17:36.740 himself. What he does, what he just did. And I would be surprised if it wasn't good to him. When you say
00:17:43.880 you'll try, I know you'll do it. I will, I will really try. And, and I need your support though.
00:17:50.440 You'll have my support. All right. We'll have my support. Oh, fantastic. Thank you, my support.
00:17:55.180 Fantastic. There was some banter there. His announcement was, let me just tell you what
00:18:01.120 his announcement was. It wasn't clear there. He's going to invest over the next four years,
00:18:05.780 $100 billion to create 100,000 jobs in America in different, in different portfolios, in different
00:18:17.680 sectors. And when you think about that, that's pretty incredible math. That's basically
00:18:22.200 a million dollars per job, which is credible. And it's not a government grant. It's not a tax.
00:18:30.260 It's not a subsidy. It's a $100 billion investment. And it's unthinkable that such an investment would
00:18:38.580 have been done under Biden or Harris. And it's unthinkable that that would be done in Canada.
00:18:46.860 And you saw Trump, even after the deal was done, trying to upsell the president of this bank to a
00:18:54.300 200 billion. And that's real money, by the way, that's US dollars. So 100 billion US, you know,
00:19:00.340 I'd have to put that in my calculator. That's got to be about 1.5, almost 1.5 billion, 150 billion
00:19:08.420 Canadian, excuse me. So what a laugh that Chrystia Freeland is saying, we got to win capital from around
00:19:17.820 the world investing in Canada. Do you think that SoftBank president for one second, even contemplated
00:19:25.860 investing in Canada, even proportionately $10 billion? Why would he? So he can pay the carbon
00:19:31.500 tax, so we can have it taxed away, so we can have the general meltdown in society? Anyhow, let me get
00:19:36.480 back to the statement today. I just wanted to, what a laugh that Chrystia Freeland is going to bring
00:19:41.060 investment to Canada. Donald Trump just brought $100 billion. All right, back to the statement.
00:19:46.080 I know Canadians would recognize and respect such an approach, she says, talking about the Team
00:19:54.360 Canada approach. They know when we are working for them, and they equally know when we are focused
00:20:00.400 on ourselves. That's a bit of a zinger. Trudeau loves himself more than all other things combined.
00:20:08.920 Inevitably, our time in government will come to an end, but how we deal with the threat our country
00:20:14.540 currently faces will define us for a generation, and perhaps longer. Canada will win if we are strong,
00:20:20.960 smart, and united. I don't think the Trudeau government is strong. I don't think it's smart.
00:20:28.800 And I'll show you some clips today that suggest that it's not very united.
00:20:33.760 It is this conviction which has driven my strenuous efforts this fall to manage our spending in ways
00:20:39.100 that will give us the flexibility we will need to meet the serious challenges presented by the United
00:20:43.280 States. You've got to stop lying. Like, I love this letter because it detonates Trudeau. But she's
00:20:48.680 lying. She has not shown any fiscal restraint. It's an astonishing, staggering budget deficit.
00:20:56.740 There is no keep our powder dry. And it's a trick. Trump just says, seal your border or I'll hit you
00:21:03.820 with tariffs. They're all focused on tariffs and counter tariffs and how to pay for the tariffs.
00:21:08.280 Why don't you just seal the border to illegals?
00:21:12.360 I will always be grateful for the chance to have served in government. And I will always be proud
00:21:16.800 of our government's work for Canada and Canadians. I look forward to continue. This is very interesting.
00:21:22.460 I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues as a Liberal member of Parliament.
00:21:26.600 And I am committed to running again for my seat in Toronto in the next federal election. With
00:21:33.560 gratitude, the Honorable Chrystia Freeland. That last line is so interesting. She's not running away
00:21:41.520 like David Lamedi, the disgraced justice minister who brought in the Emergencies Act. When the Emergencies
00:21:48.020 Act was found by the federal court to be illegal and unconstitutional, he quit. As justice minister,
00:21:53.760 but also as MP, he didn't even serve out his term. And he ran off, skulked away to a private gig.
00:21:59.900 He was just ashamed and disgraced and driven out of public life. That's not what Chrystia Freeland's
00:22:04.380 doing. In fact, talking about, oh, all our times come to an end. She's basically saying,
00:22:10.900 your days are numbered, Justin. I'm going to be in Toronto. I think it's called University is the
00:22:18.340 name of her riding university. What's it? University Spadina or something. It's actually one of the
00:22:23.440 the few safe liberal seats in Canada. It is so liberal down there. And I think that's her way
00:22:31.620 of saying, I'm blaming you. I could have fought and helped and win, but you mismanaged it. This is on
00:22:44.120 you. Enjoy the next few weeks or months. I'm going to be just a backbench MP. And when you are done,
00:22:51.900 well, I will still be here. She doesn't say, and I'm running for parliament, but she obviously will.
00:23:01.680 And she does say she's running for parliament. She doesn't say she's running for leader,
00:23:06.400 but I think she obviously will. You cannot be finance minister and deputy prime minister and go
00:23:12.380 back down to just a regular MP and say, no, no, that's fine. That's all I want to do. I don't believe
00:23:18.540 that. No one believes it. She was demoted by Trudeau. So she quit and she's just going to wait
00:23:27.220 till he's gone and she's going to throw her hat in the ring and she will be immediately the leading
00:23:33.020 contender. There's no doubt about who else is there. That Melanie Jolie. I mean, I know that she had her
00:23:40.720 photo shot, photo shoot with the New York Times, basically declaring her campaign in New York City,
00:23:47.460 which is sort of bizarre. And then that guy, Francois-Philippe Champagne, I find it astonishing
00:23:55.040 that he thinks he can be leader. But I mean, I guess the thing about politicians is someone
00:24:02.440 whispers in their ear, you can do it. You can be prime minister. And they just want to believe it
00:24:09.340 so bad they force themselves to believe it. I want to show you a few other vids that just got me
00:24:14.480 chuckling. Here's Francois-Philippe Champagne. Because there was another resignation the other
00:24:21.620 day, Sean Fraser, who, if I'm not mistaken, was at one time the immigration minister and then the
00:24:26.500 housing minister. Maybe I have my order wrong there. So you've had a couple of senior resignations
00:24:32.640 from cabinet. These guys can read the polls. And here's Francois-Philippe Champagne, who truly,
00:24:39.520 truly, truly, truly, in his bones, believes he can be prime minister. And who knows, maybe he can be.
00:24:45.220 He's certainly China's candidate. I don't know if you remember. This guy, when he was foreign minister,
00:24:51.080 had a mortgage on a house or an apartment. And you know who gave him the mortgage? Was it the Royal
00:24:57.900 Bank? Was it TD Bank? Was it Scotiabank? Was it, you know, there's a lot of Canadian banks. And
00:25:03.700 then there's smaller lenders. And then there's international lenders, too. There's, you know,
00:25:09.160 Citibank, Wells Fargo. Like, there's probably a, if I think his property is in London, England,
00:25:16.080 which probably has more banks than any other city in the world. Maybe even more than New York. I bet it
00:25:23.180 does. So who do you think he took his mortgage from? The Bank of China. A government bank that is not
00:25:33.680 really in the home mortgage business. Francois-Philippe Champagne, when he was foreign minister,
00:25:41.700 owed over a million dollars to the government of China. The government of China was his financier,
00:25:48.220 was his mortgage lender. First of all, how did that happen? Why did that happen? What's the deal there?
00:25:57.420 And why would he think that's okay? And he was the sitting foreign minister while he owed a debt
00:26:04.460 of over a million dollars to the People's Republic of China. So that's how crooked and dirty this guy
00:26:10.960 is. Here's Francois-Philippe Champagne. I understand that he was asked by Trudeau to deliver the fall
00:26:18.160 economic statement today and he just refused. Take a look. So you don't think this has anything
00:26:22.660 to do with the lack of confidence in the leadership of the Liberal Party?
00:26:26.260 I think after a decade, you've seen colleagues on both sides of the aisle, you know, looking back
00:26:33.520 and saying they've given a lot, they've worked a lot for their constituents, they've worked a lot
00:26:38.240 for Canada. And I think he's leaving with, I'm sure, the feeling that he has accomplished a lot
00:26:45.180 for his constituents, but also for Canada. So in my view, I think for him and anyone who's been
00:26:52.600 serving, we should all be thankful and say, listen, thanks for a job well done and wishing you the
00:26:59.560 best for the rest, you know. That was about Sean Fraser. I wonder if we also have one about him
00:27:05.440 talking about Christian Freeland. Perhaps I'm misremembering, but Anita Anand, who has had various
00:27:12.980 senior portfolios, including defense. She was asked about Freeland. I think that comment by
00:27:20.260 Francois-Philippe Champagne was like a slightly earlier than Christian Freeland's bombshell
00:27:26.060 announcement. So it only captured the Sean Fraser resignation. Here's Anita Anand.
00:27:32.700 I'll let you judge her answer for yourself. I think this is likely an unscripted, genuine answer.
00:27:38.520 Normally, everything is stage managed and choreographed in Ottawa. You tell me what you
00:27:44.480 think of this.
00:27:45.800 Christian Freeland is a good friend, someone I work with very, very closely as president of the
00:27:53.380 Treasury Board and Minister of Transport. This news has hit me really hard, and I'll reserve further
00:28:00.040 comment until I have time to process it.
00:28:01.940 I'm not sure. It sounds like she was running or going up some stairs then. She really doesn't
00:28:08.220 know what to say. She needs more time to process it. Translation, she needs to think, which boat
00:28:13.540 does she want to be in? The sinking Titanic or one of the lifeboats? I think, you know, the last one
00:28:22.280 into the last one out, turn out the lights. I think on the one hand, loyalty to the boss
00:28:29.640 gets you a promotion perhaps, but for how long? Is it measured in months or weeks or days? Whereas
00:28:39.360 you get out on the lifeboat, I mean, it's almost too late. I mean, Anand, like Freeland, was at the
00:28:45.620 heart of every atrocious decision this government made for 10 years, nine years.
00:28:52.520 Christian Freeland had some real zingers about Trudeau, gimmicks and narcissism and all about
00:28:59.280 yourself. Yeah, she had some insults there. But show me a single thing she disagreed with and
00:29:04.320 refused to argue for in nine years. It looks like a liberal MP, Francis Drouin, has also called on
00:29:14.440 Trudeau to resign. I'm not sure when this was recorded. Do you have that? I see Harrison Faulkner
00:29:19.380 tweeted the vid, if you've got that handy. I say again, I don't know if this was before or after
00:29:26.860 Freeland. Let's take a listen. Obviously, many of my colleagues have put up, and I've been a great
00:29:33.300 defender, but I just don't see how we move forward without having a future minister resign. Today was
00:29:39.880 supposed to be a presentation of a plan, and now we're talking about a finance minister who has
00:29:44.260 resigned. I don't see how this helps the prime minister, and I don't see a way out, and how
00:29:48.800 this helps us talk about Canadians while we're continuing to talk about what's happening right
00:29:52.600 now. So he needs to go. Sorry, I'd like to hear you. I think he needs to go. Yeah. Justin Trudeau.
00:29:58.760 Yeah. Yeah. I think today's resignation is a sign of that. Now, I want to make a confession. I have no
00:30:06.340 idea who that guy is, do you? Francis Drouin. Do you know where he's from, Olivia? And I'm not trying
00:30:13.360 to put you on the, I'm just, he's 41 years old. He's from Glengarry Prescott Russell, and he was
00:30:25.600 elected in 2015. So he has been in parliament for nine years. And he's never gone anywhere. I'm just
00:30:36.520 looking. Oh, he was the parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food. So he was
00:30:44.740 the deputy, like a junior parliamentary secretary. And obviously, he's going no further. He's on a few
00:30:57.000 committees. I honestly have never heard of him before. And maybe I'm just displaying my own ignorance.
00:31:05.060 But let me put it another way. If you have been an MP for Trudeau for nine years, and you're not in
00:31:15.120 cabinet, you're never going to be in cabinet. And if the best you can do is be junior deputy
00:31:22.320 Agri-Food and sit on a few boring committees, you're not going anywhere. And so why not? I mean,
00:31:29.920 how can they punish you? You're not going to get the carrot. And really, at this point,
00:31:35.280 what's the stick? So Francis Drouin has the courage, the courage, nine years later to say
00:31:41.500 Trudeau's got to go. It'll be interesting to see what those numbers are like. But I want to remind you
00:31:49.060 about the true nature of Chrystia Freeland. I mean, as you know, her grandfather was a Nazi,
00:31:57.780 an actual Nazi, who expropriated a newspaper from a Jew back in Ukraine and turned it into a Nazi
00:32:06.820 propaganda rag. So her grandpa wasn't just a card-carrying Nazi. He was a Nazi propagandist,
00:32:14.160 a Nazi activist who personally stole property from a Jew. And I don't know for a fact, but I would assume
00:32:21.380 that the Jew was killed. Now, you cannot blame a granddaughter for the grandfather's Nazism. You
00:32:32.600 can't. But Chrystia Freeland tried to cover that up, tried to hide that. And when it started circulating
00:32:41.560 in the news, she denounced it as Russian disinformation. She actively covered up
00:32:50.100 her grandfather's Nazism. Here's the Ottawa Citizen headline. Chrystia Freeland's granddad was
00:32:56.940 indeed a Nazi collaborator. So much for Russian disinformation. It's a true story. And you can
00:33:04.720 see that was published in 2017. She managed to hide it. And then she had a few other flashbacks
00:33:12.880 where she showed that she is indeed her grandfather's granddaughter. She attended an event with a scarf
00:33:24.120 that is sort of a signature item of a Ukrainian fascist leader. I don't want to get the name wrong.
00:33:33.420 That was a scoop by our friend Candace Malcolm at True North. It was a Bandera scarf. Olivia,
00:33:40.820 if you can Google. Yeah, there you go. Slava Ukraini, which is fine. That means just,
00:33:46.720 you know, basically go Ukraine, strengthen Ukraine. But she's wearing a scarf, or maybe that is the scarf,
00:33:54.260 in the banderite colors, which is basically the Nazi leader during the Second World War.
00:34:00.760 And of course, she was on her feet applauding wildly when an actual Nazi SS soldier, Yaroslav
00:34:12.340 Hanka, I think was his last name, was introduced to the Canadian parliament. And I was watching this
00:34:20.060 because you might recall Vladimir Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, was in parliament. It was the
00:34:27.700 big day. Everyone was excited. And I was watching. And the speaker of the house introduces
00:34:34.040 this stranger that none of us knew. Do you want to play it? Go ahead and play it.
00:34:41.520 Yeah, there he is. And he's very old now. I think he's in his 90s.
00:34:47.060 And there he's, I don't know if he's, why he's wiping his brow like that. And he, maybe he's just
00:34:53.500 elderly and he gives sort of a cheer. He can't believe it. He's been a not, not just a regular
00:34:59.480 Nazi, an SS officer. And he can't believe that he's getting a standing ovation in the Canadian
00:35:08.300 parliament. I was watching this live at home. I remember. And I remember they announced him in
00:35:13.260 some way. He fought against the Russians in the Second World War. And I thought, you know,
00:35:22.960 I don't like the Soviets or something. I thought, you know, I don't like the Soviets much myself. But
00:35:28.400 the people who were fighting against the Soviets in the Second World War, they were the Nazis. And I
00:35:36.920 Googled it. And I was, you know, just to toot my own horn, I was one of the first people to say,
00:35:41.080 what the hell? Who is this guy? And it was just astonishing. So yeah, Chrystia Freeland
00:35:46.540 has those Nazi instincts in her. And she works on the board of directors by another son of a Nazi
00:35:53.900 named Klaus Schwab. Do you have the World Economic Forum biography handy? Chrystia Freeland is no longer
00:36:02.400 in the Canadian cabinet, which is tantamount to the board of directors of Canada. So here's her
00:36:09.580 board of directors on the World Economic homepage. And you can see they haven't yet updated the news.
00:36:16.540 I'll read it to you. World Economic Forum. The Honorable Chrystia Freeland is Canada's Deputy
00:36:23.960 Prime Minister of Finance. She was first elected as MP for Toronto Centre in July 2013. She was elected
00:36:33.940 as an MP for University Rosedale. That's the proper name of the university riding in October in 2019 and
00:36:40.720 reelected in October 2019 and September 2021. From 25th, blah, blah, blah, blah. Let me read the last
00:36:48.820 sentence to you. Scroll down a little bit.
00:36:52.640 An esteemed journalist and author. Blah, blah, blah. Scroll down a little bit more, a little bit more.
00:37:04.300 She has written two books.
00:37:09.160 There we go. She joined the Thomson Reuters. She's written two books, Sale of the Century,
00:37:13.540 The Inside Story of the Second Russian Revolution, and Plutocrats.
00:37:16.620 She was recognized. Scroll down a little bit more. Boy, this is very long. She is a member
00:37:22.240 of the Forum's Board of Trustees. So she is on the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum.
00:37:29.900 And scroll up a bit. She was the official biographer. A little bit more, a little bit more up.
00:37:37.360 And a little bit more up.
00:37:38.500 I'm trying to find it. I'm pretty sure it's in this biography that they discuss her role as George
00:37:48.420 Soros' authorized biographer. Scroll up a little bit more.
00:37:56.140 I can't find it there, but I'll look for it elsewhere. That's what she was doing before she
00:38:03.860 became an MP. She was George Soros' authorized biographer. You know what an authorized biographer
00:38:08.460 is, right? I mean, you could call me a Trudeau biographer. I just released a new book on him.
00:38:14.880 I'm writing about Trudeau. But obviously, it was not an authorized biography. An authorized biography
00:38:20.240 is more of a PR document. They're often done working with the subject who gives you access to
00:38:27.540 private materials, but also has control. The reason that it's authorized is they know
00:38:34.500 you're going to say friendly things. That's who Chrystia Freeland is. Granddaughter of a Nazi,
00:38:44.220 works with Klaus Schwab, whose father was a Nazi, and works with George Soros, who actually was a
00:38:50.760 Nazi collaborator. Can you Google the image of Trudeau, Freeland, and Soros? In one of his first
00:39:00.200 foreign trips after being elected back in 2015, Chrystia Freeland accompanied Trudeau to the World
00:39:06.040 Economic Forum and sort of showed him around. And one of the first private meetings they had
00:39:12.200 was a, yeah, that's it right there. That's from January 2016. Chrystia Freeland and Justin Trudeau.
00:39:21.840 Who's the boss? Let's just look at the body language there. Who's the boss in that room?
00:39:26.780 And since then, can you also, can you now Google Alex Soros and Trudeau? Alex is the son of George
00:39:39.960 Soros, and he's the inheritor. George Soros is in his 80s, and I'm not sure how long he'll be around,
00:39:48.540 but he's really bequeathed things to his son, a younger, dumber, meaner Soros. And Trudeau meets
00:39:59.420 with them, and Alex Soros collects politicians all the time. And yeah, go ahead and show that one
00:40:05.420 there. That's Alex Soros on the right, and Justin Trudeau in the center, and George Soros decomposing
00:40:15.040 before our eyes. So there's another generation. By the way, Alex Soros is now dating Huma Abedin.
00:40:23.160 Actually, they're married. Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton's former staffer. So yeah, that's a little
00:40:29.360 bit about Chrystia Freeland. But like I say, I don't want to judge someone too much based on
00:40:35.120 what happened before they were even born, what their grandfather did before they were even born.
00:40:39.100 The fact that Chrystia Freeland later tried to cover it up, I think is newsworthy. And the fact
00:40:44.060 that she welcomed a Nazi SS officer to parliament is newsworthy. But let me show you about Chrystia
00:40:52.400 Freeland herself, and few things sum her up better than the next two videos I want to show you. I want
00:40:57.700 to show you the video of her imposing sanctions on Canadians who dared to attend the peaceful political
00:41:08.600 protests of the trucker convoy, the largest peaceful protest in Canadian history. No acts of violence
00:41:15.500 other than when police shot our reporter Alexa Lebois. And without judicial process, without a court action,
00:41:25.060 based on media gossip, she ordered the banks to seize hundreds and hundreds of bank accounts of families.
00:41:35.140 And of course, a lot of families, the husband and the wife jointly have the account. So husband is
00:41:40.620 maybe at the protest, wife at the grocery store, suddenly none of her cards work. And I mean none.
00:41:45.760 Not just the bank accounts frozen, the credit cards frozen. Imagine the trauma, the shock, the embarrassment
00:41:52.540 hundreds of times. And the way she laughed while doing it. I'll never forget that. Her Nazi grandfather,
00:42:02.020 looking up from hell must be so proud of this little Nazi here. Here, take a look at Chrystia Freeland
00:42:08.760 laughing and smirking while destroying hundreds of lives. Take a look.
00:42:14.340 So you're confirming that accounts have been frozen, both personal and corporate, but you're not releasing
00:42:19.080 the information. And the actual follow up is, I'm just wondering whether the bank accounts will be
00:42:24.000 targeted of individuals who donated to the Give, Send, Go and the GoFundMe campaigns. Are they
00:42:29.560 considered designated people under the Emergencies Act, meaning that their credit cards could be cut
00:42:33.980 and financial services are targeting them as well?
00:42:36.500 Okay. So the names of both individuals and entities, as well as crypto wallets, have been shared by the RCMP
00:42:49.540 with financial institutions. And accounts have been frozen, and more accounts will be frozen.
00:42:58.300 Uh, crowdfunding platforms and payment service providers have started the registration process
00:43:06.440 with FinTrack. Uh, in terms of the specifics on whose accounts are being frozen, uh, you now
00:43:17.200 have the regulations. The financial service providers have those regulations as well. And they,
00:43:25.900 working with law enforcement, will be making the operational decisions.
00:43:32.020 Really, the important thing I wanted to show you there was her glee, her laughing. It was a delight for her
00:43:38.740 to seize and freeze family bank accounts with no legal process, no court order, no search warrant, no hearing.
00:43:46.620 Look at that laugh. She's just having the time of her life. Her Nazi grandpa would be so proud.
00:43:52.360 To me, that's the essential Christia Freeland. Um, I want to show you another clip. This is from January
00:44:00.420 this year, when she was attending a vigil for Persian Canadians, Iranian Canadians, who had lost family
00:44:09.120 in a terrorist attack perpetrated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. That's, um, a terrorist group
00:44:16.520 in Iran. And the chutzpah of, uh, Christia Freeland showing up at this vigil when she refused to ban the IRGC
00:44:27.180 was astonishing. Public sidewalk, public event. Our reporter David actually being invited to the event.
00:44:34.960 David's clearly wearing his journalistic lanyard. He's got a cameraman there. He's got his microphone.
00:44:39.660 He's asking a question in the public interest of a public person in a public place. He's immediately
00:44:46.660 jumped by Freeland's bodyguards. And instead of saying, no, no, no, guys, this is fine. No, it's okay.
00:44:53.180 Or even saying, uh, make an appointment or I'll talk to you later, or I don't have time to talk.
00:44:58.260 Instead of saying anything, she just smirks as the police physically rough up David and lie about him.
00:45:05.660 If we didn't have this on tape, David would surely be convicted of assault. Take a look.
00:45:09.660 Ms. Freeland, how come the IRGC is not a terrorist group?
00:45:14.880 Why is your government supporting Islamo-Nationalism?
00:45:18.720 What? You've been missed. What are you doing?
00:45:21.600 You're under arrest for assault.
00:45:23.160 Why are you pushing? You're under arrest for assault.
00:45:26.480 You're under arrest for assault.
00:45:28.980 Police. Police. You're under arrest for assault.
00:45:32.440 You're under arrest. You bumped into me.
00:45:34.140 You pushed into me.
00:45:35.120 You bumped, I was just scrubbing.
00:45:36.560 I've got my credentials here and you just bumped into me.
00:45:39.560 So, excuse me.
00:45:40.440 Police. You're under arrest for pushing.
00:45:41.780 What is your name in your badge?
00:45:44.200 What is your name in your badge?
00:45:45.800 You've been told you're under arrest.
00:45:47.300 Why am I under arrest?
00:45:48.440 I'm not over here.
00:45:49.620 He brought my way.
00:45:53.800 I was just scrubbing.
00:45:55.660 I'm a police officer. You're under arrest.
00:45:58.880 What is your name in your badge?
00:46:00.180 Assaulting a police officer.
00:46:01.220 How is that possible?
00:46:02.840 Because you assaulted me three years ago when Blackface was under arrest.
00:46:07.200 I was very aggressive.
00:46:08.820 You mean I was asking questions aggressively?
00:46:12.020 No, no. Your actions were.
00:46:13.460 You were almost pushing everybody over.
00:46:15.500 Yes.
00:46:16.940 Lincoln, you got this on video, right?
00:46:18.640 He's saying I'm pushing people over?
00:46:20.660 That's an absolute falsehood.
00:46:22.300 There were people who were shut up.
00:46:23.580 So now it appeared that way.
00:46:24.880 That's what you're saying, officer?
00:46:25.740 It appeared I was pushing people.
00:46:27.220 I didn't touch a single person.
00:46:28.740 That was a little bit aggressive for what was happening.
00:46:30.560 Get that.
00:46:30.940 You're under arrest.
00:46:32.500 Please take the microphone out of my face.
00:46:34.100 Well, I want to...
00:46:34.360 You get the feeling.
00:46:35.480 You get the spirit of it.
00:46:37.100 She was just happy to let the police do to her critics what her grandpa would have done to his critics.
00:46:45.300 I see that premiers of Canada have been asked if they have confidence in the Trudeau regime.
00:46:53.520 And I'd like to play a quick video.
00:46:57.520 It's in Slack there, Olivia, the last one there.
00:47:01.040 I'd like to hear what they have to say.
00:47:02.200 Take a look.
00:47:04.780 Oh, we need another minute.
00:47:05.560 As premiers, do you have confidence in a Trudeau government to lead Canada into a tariff war that is knocking on our door?
00:47:16.080 Well, the way I can answer that, we're going to be at the table.
00:47:19.600 All the premiers are going to be at the table, making sure that we move forward in a very constructive way,
00:47:27.080 a very collaborative way to protect our provinces and our territories and our entire country from coast to coast to coast.
00:47:33.540 That's our job.
00:47:35.500 We're ready.
00:47:36.840 And we'll rise up to the occasion.
00:47:40.260 I can promise you that.
00:47:42.600 No answer there.
00:47:45.780 I think he's basically saying the premiers are ready.
00:47:49.300 You know what?
00:47:50.120 Doug Ford is actually, of all 10 premiers, actually 13 premiers, when you realize the territories are led by a politician called premier.
00:47:59.060 Of the 13 premiers, Doug Ford is the most pro-Trudeau of them all.
00:48:02.940 Did you know that?
00:48:03.540 I have never once seen him criticize Trudeau.
00:48:08.900 And his response to this tariffs thing has been atrocious.
00:48:11.980 Instead of saying, OK, Trump wants to fix the border.
00:48:15.040 Yeah, let's do that.
00:48:15.680 We should fix it, too.
00:48:17.120 He's all, we're going to cut off energy to America.
00:48:19.740 Yeah, brother.
00:48:20.260 No, you're not.
00:48:20.940 You don't run Alberta, which is where 99% of the energy comes from.
00:48:25.740 Sorry, mate.
00:48:26.400 There's another comment this morning where I think Ford was a little bit tougher.
00:48:33.860 Can you play the second last clip?
00:48:36.440 Ford was at least willing to say the obvious, that it's chaos out there.
00:48:40.100 His best friend, Chrystia Freeland, is no longer in office.
00:48:43.500 Take a look.
00:48:45.100 Premier, I understand you spoke to Chrystia Freeland, who you have worked very closely with over these past four years, specifically on the pandemic, EVs, many other joint initiatives between Ontario and the federal government.
00:48:56.320 And just wondering your thoughts on her sudden departure.
00:49:00.300 What is what does this chaos in Ottawa, political chaos in Ottawa, say to you guys as you're trying to develop a plan to deal with an existential threat for Mr. Trump's tariffs on January 20th?
00:49:13.200 Sorry, I did speak to Chrystia and I just wanted to thank her for her service.
00:49:18.660 She gave me a call.
00:49:20.160 I did put her on speaker with the rest of the premiers.
00:49:22.900 We have a good relationship with Chrystia over the years.
00:49:25.980 I just want to wish her all the best.
00:49:27.960 But as a country, we have to project strength, unity.
00:49:32.540 And you said the word.
00:49:35.200 I didn't, but I'll repeat it.
00:49:36.520 It's chaos right now up in Ottawa.
00:49:39.240 And it's time that what we do every single day, the premiers, we step up and we'll make sure that we tell the world that there is stability here.
00:49:51.040 There is certainty here in Canada.
00:49:52.960 And by all means, it's a great place to invest in any of our provinces or territories.
00:49:58.160 That's the message to the world.
00:50:00.780 And we have a great group of premiers, very brave individuals around the table here.
00:50:06.400 You know what?
00:50:10.180 I suppose there's some meaning there, but I'm sort of embarrassed that he's the go-to guy.
00:50:15.480 Maybe he just sort of answers first.
00:50:18.600 Francois Legault actually flew to Paris and had a quick, you know, chat with Donald Trump.
00:50:24.600 And Trump said, I just want the border fixed.
00:50:27.320 Danielle Smith has taken the lead by actually deploying a border force, announcing it, funding it, giving the details of the plan.
00:50:38.740 Maybe Doug Ford doesn't know how to do anything.
00:50:41.120 Maybe he's sort of like Trudeau in that way.
00:50:45.260 I'm not sure if Doug Ford really does know how to do anything.
00:50:47.440 But really, why would he ever give up power?
00:50:51.980 If you listen to him, if you actually listen to him on those few occasions when he's speaking from the heart, he's an authoritarian.
00:51:02.480 In the most honest thing he's ever said, please find that China is the country he most admires, Glip.
00:51:08.900 It was an unprepared, unscripted question that he totally was not ready for.
00:51:16.280 He was in a friendly enough place.
00:51:18.240 He was asked, what country besides Canada do you most admire?
00:51:22.480 And he gave an astonishingly answer, an astonishingly honest answer.
00:51:28.320 Let's play it again.
00:51:29.000 I want you to hear the exact words.
00:51:30.360 I think I know them from memory now.
00:51:32.040 But here, listen from scratch.
00:51:33.660 Trudeau's meeting last week with a group of Toronto women was an example.
00:51:40.220 Even with Sun TV watching for any slip, he was asked which country he most admired and referred to China.
00:51:47.300 There's a level of admiration I actually have for China.
00:51:54.160 Because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say,
00:52:01.600 we need to go green as fast as we need to start, you know, investing in solar.
00:52:05.760 I mean, there is a flexibility that I know Stephen Harper must dream about of having a dictatorship that he could do everything he wanted.
00:52:13.180 You know, there's a few things there.
00:52:14.620 First of all, he gave China's answer and the basic dictatorship is why.
00:52:19.400 And then he sort of and then he explained why, because they can move on a dime without having to listen to anybody.
00:52:24.200 And then he realized he was in trouble.
00:52:25.760 So he said, oh, Stephen Harper must love that power.
00:52:28.800 No, actually, Stephen Harper didn't just say he admires China's basic dictatorship.
00:52:33.040 You just said it.
00:52:34.400 You just were erotic for a second about your love for that authoritarianism.
00:52:38.500 And when you realized what you had done, you said, oh, and Harper would love that.
00:52:42.080 No, brother, you just said you would.
00:52:45.320 So he loves China and he tells you why.
00:52:47.620 Because they're authoritarian and they don't need to respect anyone else's wishes.
00:52:51.040 They can just do what they want.
00:52:52.140 And you might recall that when Castro died, Trudeau released a eulogy that was so gross that Marco Rubio, who's – what's Rubio's new role?
00:53:05.580 Is he the new foreign secretary of state?
00:53:08.180 That's of interest because – I think he was just – was he just nominated?
00:53:21.160 I'm trying to keep track of it all.
00:53:25.520 I think he – I forget what he was – yeah, sorry about that.
00:53:31.080 That's what I thought.
00:53:32.400 He was nominated as secretary of state.
00:53:34.480 Can you imagine that?
00:53:35.260 Fidel Castro dies.
00:53:39.720 Justin Trudeau writes a eulogy that is so gross that Marco Rubio himself says that is super gross.
00:53:46.800 You are so wrong.
00:53:48.140 I'm appalled by you.
00:53:50.860 And guess who the new secretary of state for the United States is?
00:53:55.160 And he will obviously be confirmed because he's in the Senate.
00:53:59.280 He's one of them.
00:54:00.800 He's been heavily involved in foreign affairs.
00:54:04.340 He is – if I'm not mistaken, he's been on various committees for foreign affairs.
00:54:13.820 I don't want to get the names wrong without checking them.
00:54:18.320 Trudeau's admiration for authoritarian banana republic rulers is deep and authentic.
00:54:23.800 It's one of the few authentic things about him.
00:54:25.740 Even Marco Rubio can see that.
00:54:27.120 Marco Rubio, who is now tasked with affecting America's interests around the world.
00:54:32.000 Again, I say it's sort of lucky that America is not focused on Canada.
00:54:37.020 America is focused on solving Ukraine-Russia.
00:54:40.700 America is focused on renewing peace in the Middle East.
00:54:44.600 America is focused on trade.
00:54:46.720 We are very lucky that Canada has not attracted attention more than it has.
00:54:52.340 But it looks like Trudeau wants to pick a fight with Trump.
00:54:55.900 To continue the chaos, think of this.
00:54:59.760 The moment the finance minister resigned, the government's published order of precedent
00:55:05.040 meant that François-Philippe Champagne instantaneously became the finance minister.
00:55:12.140 But now he tells us he doesn't have the job and doesn't want the job.
00:55:16.320 So it goes to the next minister who's on the published order of precedent.
00:55:21.820 And that is Randy Wozno, more commonly known as the two Randys, the gentleman who had to
00:55:27.240 resign because he falsely claimed he was Indigenous, falsely claimed that there were more than one
00:55:32.900 Randy when it was all him and all in his head.
00:55:35.800 And he is now technically our finance minister as we speak.
00:55:41.260 We don't know for sure, though, if he'll still be finance minister in three and a half hours
00:55:46.300 when the scheduled fall economic update is expected to land.
00:55:51.060 Yeah, I think it's pretty clear that economic update.
00:55:53.720 I don't know.
00:55:54.260 My guess is they're just going to publish it online.
00:55:56.360 I'm not sure if there's even a legal requirement for it to be spoken by a human being.
00:56:00.360 And it looks like no one wants that.
00:56:03.140 Least of all, Christy Freeland.
00:56:04.480 And here's an interesting idea that Pierre Pauly had mentioned in the same press conference.
00:56:10.460 Canada, the Canadian government is in chaos right now.
00:56:12.880 There really is no other way to describe it.
00:56:14.820 And maybe it's a good idea to hit the reset button before Donald Trump assumes office on
00:56:20.040 January 20th.
00:56:20.960 Here's a good point.
00:56:21.960 Take a look.
00:56:22.900 Is it possible to have a plan with that?
00:56:25.080 That's after Mr. Seng.
00:56:26.020 Will the election itself need to take place before January the 20th when the catastrophic
00:56:30.580 25% tariff is slated to come into effect?
00:56:33.180 That would be it would be ideal to have it the election done before the president takes
00:56:39.360 office or or within the first week or two of his mandate so that he would have so the
00:56:44.280 Canadians would have a strong prime minister with the brains and backbone, the strength
00:56:50.800 and smart smarts to stand up for Canada facing down President Trump and our American competitors.
00:56:59.420 It's a good point.
00:57:06.460 Now, I'd have to check election law.
00:57:08.520 I'm going from memory here.
00:57:09.480 I think there's a seven, sorry, a five week minimum campaign.
00:57:13.920 It might be six.
00:57:15.000 So let's assume it's five weeks.
00:57:16.440 So 35 days.
00:57:17.340 It is December 16th right now, 31 days in December.
00:57:26.620 So add 35, that's 41 minus.
00:57:31.760 So I've just confused myself.
00:57:36.040 But I think that if the election were called literally today, it would not be done in time
00:57:39.580 for January 20th.
00:57:41.000 If literally the writ were dropped today and that just can't happen, I don't even know
00:57:45.880 where the government general is.
00:57:48.460 And right now, even though everyone's up in an uproar, the liberals seem to be in their
00:57:54.420 seats applauding.
00:57:56.320 I mean, they look like ashes.
00:57:57.780 But I don't think Justin Trudeau is going to quit.
00:58:06.320 Show me one thing he's ever done that shows he's a quitter.
00:58:10.380 He loves to fight and win.
00:58:12.800 Now, many of the fights he's fought in have been rigged to his advantage.
00:58:18.040 All Trudeau cares about is winning and feeling good.
00:58:22.960 And quitting is not winning and quitting is not feeling good.
00:58:26.200 Sure, he's stressed out by how things are going, but he's never been one to sweat the
00:58:31.520 details.
00:58:34.000 I noticed that Jagmeet Singh had indicated that he wants Trudeau to resign.
00:58:39.080 Sure, and I want a pony.
00:58:41.320 But is Singh actually going to do the one thing that would get Trudeau to resign, which is to
00:58:47.720 call a confidence vote?
00:58:49.220 Here's Jagmeet Singh.
00:58:50.620 Take a listen.
00:58:52.200 Right now, Canadians are struggling with the cost of living.
00:58:56.200 I hear it everywhere I go.
00:58:57.200 People cannot find a home that they can afford.
00:59:00.000 They can't buy their groceries.
00:59:01.520 And on top of that, we have Trump threatening tariffs at 25 percent, which put hundreds and
00:59:07.900 thousands of Canadian jobs at risk.
00:59:11.160 And instead of focusing on these issues, Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are focused on
00:59:15.240 themselves.
00:59:16.160 They're fighting themselves instead of fighting for Canadians.
00:59:18.320 And for that reason, today, I'm calling on Justin Trudeau to resign.
00:59:22.400 He has to go.
00:59:23.580 Will you declare no confidence in the Liberal government as soon as possible?
00:59:27.320 All tools, all options are on the table.
00:59:31.120 People are hurting.
00:59:32.160 That's a no.
00:59:32.580 People are struggling.
00:59:33.480 And so all options are on the table.
00:59:35.060 That means no.
00:59:36.280 That means no.
00:59:37.100 You're calling for him to resign, but you are not willing to vote no confidence in his
00:59:41.020 government.
00:59:41.300 How does those, how do those two things connect?
00:59:44.360 All options are on the table.
00:59:45.580 Oh my God.
00:59:47.120 Oh my God.
00:59:47.900 How do you listen to me for your support with the Liberals, though?
00:59:50.820 How can you say he needs to resign, but then you're not telling us what you're going to
00:59:53.880 do for non-confidence?
00:59:55.560 Telling you that all options are on the table.
00:59:57.060 Right.
00:59:58.180 Will you support the Fez?
01:00:00.640 And also, are you willing to continue to support the Liberals if there is a different
01:00:03.800 leader aside from Trudeau?
01:00:05.160 Because all options are on the table.
01:00:06.120 Right now, that's not in front of us.
01:00:07.280 There's no votes in front of us.
01:00:08.320 But we will take each vote.
01:00:09.960 And right now, literally, everything's on the table.
01:00:11.520 Are you saying that all options are on the table?
01:00:16.200 So why are you holding out the option to still support this government?
01:00:20.280 Why?
01:00:20.660 Because he doesn't get his pension unless he's in Parliament a few more weeks.
01:00:24.200 Why are you still holding out the option?
01:00:25.980 What is the glimmer of hope that you seem to possibly support the Fez or possibly support
01:00:30.600 this government in some other way?
01:00:31.660 It depends on the votes.
01:00:32.460 And so I want to make it very clear.
01:00:34.540 Justin Trudeau has to go.
01:00:35.800 He has to resign.
01:00:37.100 And because of that, all options are on the table.
01:00:40.120 And we'll look at each vote and we'll make a decision.
01:00:43.060 But now, all options are on the table.
01:00:45.960 How else?
01:00:46.480 Go ahead, Paul.
01:00:47.000 Go ahead, Paul.
01:00:47.560 The room behind you, sir.
01:00:48.780 That room behind you is a Parliament.
01:00:51.620 The government continues to govern as long as MPs continue to have confidence in the government.
01:00:57.920 You have no say over who the leader of the Liberal Party is.
01:01:00.940 Will you support the government or are you withdrawing your support from the government?
01:01:07.840 With respect to that, I've said that all options are on the table.
01:01:12.120 Oh, my God.
01:01:12.400 That means everything is possible.
01:01:13.680 He's as dumb as he looks.
01:01:14.220 I'm so embarrassed.
01:01:15.580 Given what we have seen, Justin Trudeau...
01:01:16.540 Okay, you know, he's just going to repeat that.
01:01:18.160 I am truly embarrassed.
01:01:20.900 Let me translate.
01:01:21.860 In case you're having trouble figuring out what he really means.
01:01:24.920 Maybe he's not dumb.
01:01:26.020 Actually, let me take that back.
01:01:27.440 He's not dumb.
01:01:29.060 Anyone who treats him seriously is dumb.
01:01:31.540 Anyone who thinks he's going to answer a question is dumb.
01:01:34.320 He was asked five times, will you vote against him?
01:01:37.560 And what was his answer?
01:01:38.620 All options are on the table.
01:01:41.060 Which is what he always says when he criticizes Trudeau, but then supports him.
01:01:48.400 I'm deeply embarrassed for Singh and also for the journalists who go through the motions with him.
01:01:54.920 Wow.
01:01:56.480 That's your answer right there.
01:01:58.100 And frankly, that's what Trudeau is going to say to the MPs.
01:02:01.760 He's going to say, we have the power to continue.
01:02:05.460 Jagmeet Singh has given us the power to continue.
01:02:08.040 We have unfinished business.
01:02:10.380 And instead of having a crash election right now at the choosing of Chrystia Freeland and to the delight of Pierre Polyev,
01:02:18.280 let us have an election in three, six, nine months where we basically slow roll the launch, soft launch the campaign right now.
01:02:29.280 You know what?
01:02:30.880 If I was Trudeau, that's what I would say.
01:02:34.360 I would say, look, there will be an election soon, whether it's immediately in one month, three months or six months.
01:02:43.700 Which do you think is more likely to be successful for you?
01:02:51.240 Hasty now over Christmas on this disastrous note where Chrystia Freeland has defined the terms?
01:02:58.080 Or should we have a comeback in 2025, fight for Canada against Donald Trump, demonize Pierre Polyev, we're defending the country and go out in a blaze of glory?
01:03:11.000 Either way, there will be an election.
01:03:14.680 The question is, which timing is more felicitous to the backbench MP?
01:03:20.740 And of course, it extends Trudeau's power by days or weeks or months.
01:03:26.400 But I think you could make the case if you were a crass liberal pragmatist that calling an election just a week or so before Christmas because Chrystia Freeland is mad at you is not the best timing.
01:03:40.100 It doesn't even make sense.
01:03:41.920 So I think Trudeau could negotiate his way through this.
01:03:45.020 First of all, he doesn't even have to.
01:03:46.380 So far, other than Chrystia Freeland, who has stomped out?
01:03:52.220 Okay, Francis Drouin.
01:03:54.060 You ever heard of him before today?
01:03:55.520 Me neither.
01:03:56.400 That guy Chad.
01:03:57.920 You know?
