Rebel News Podcast - Lynx's departure is yet another loss for the little people

00:00:00.000 Hello, my friends. Bad news. One of Canada's new airlines has shut down Lynx Air. It was an

00:00:05.580 ultra-low-cost airline, which meant it allowed people who normally couldn't afford to go on

00:00:10.280 vacation to do so. And so the liberals killed it. I'll give you the six reasons why Lynx Air said

00:00:16.020 they failed. All six of them are on Trudeau's head. And I think that this is part of Trudeau's

00:00:21.200 plan to get people to drive less, fly less, eat less meat. The little people, at least. He'll 1.00

00:00:27.200 keep doing all those things. But before I get to that, let me invite you to become a subscriber

00:00:31.420 to Rebel News Plus. That's the video version of this podcast. Just go to rebelnewsplus.com,

00:00:35.940 click subscribe. It's eight bucks a month. And do that for the great content, but do that also

00:00:40.300 because it supports Rebel News. We don't take a dime from the government, and it shows. All right,

00:00:45.160 here's today's podcast.

00:00:57.200 Tonight, Canada's newest airline shuts down for six reasons, all of which are Trudeau's

00:01:06.440 fault. It's February 23rd, and this is The Ezra LeVant Show.

00:01:09.540 We've got it for freedom!

00:01:12.680 Shame on you, you censorious bug!

00:01:15.880 Lynx Air, the two-year-old low-cost Canadian airline, announced that it's going out of

00:01:29.180 business. This is bad news not just for its own customers, but for all travelers. Because

00:01:34.620 not only did Lynx offer low-cost airfare, but it put competitive pressure on other airlines

00:01:39.460 like Air Canada and WestJet to lower their fares, too. Here's the statement by Lynx that

00:01:44.920 they made last night. Let me quote it now. Thank you for your support. It's been a pleasure

00:01:50.000 to offer our affordable fares and great flying experience. We will leave our paw prints in

00:01:54.440 the sky, Lynx. And you can see what's attached in that red box below. Tremendous work was put

00:02:00.040 into the launch, growth, and expansion of Lynx Air over the past two years, offering a low-cost,

00:02:05.400 seamless travel experience for Canadians. The compounding financial pressures associated

00:02:09.960 with inflation, fuel costs, exchange rates, cost of capital, regulatory costs, and competitive

00:02:17.720 tension in the Canadian market have ultimately proven too steep a mountain for our organization

00:02:23.240 to overcome. It is with a heavy heart we announce Lynx Air's departure from the skies. We hope in our

00:02:29.400 absence that our vision to inspire more Canadians to fly leaves its mark on our passengers. I'm very

00:02:34.800 sorry to read that. I flew on Lynx just last week, actually. It really was made for the people. Very

00:02:42.560 low-cost airline. The kind of thing that Europe and the United States have a lot of. You know, you buy

00:02:47.760 just a seat and what you can put under your seat. Everything else is an add-on price only if you need it.

00:02:55.600 Checked luggage, putting luggage overhead. The only thing they served on the plane was water.

00:03:00.720 But customers loved it because that approach is what made the tickets so affordable. It really did

00:03:07.040 let people who would not ordinarily fly, fly. But look again at the six reasons that Lynx listed.

00:03:14.880 The compounding financial pressures associated with inflation. That's on Trudeau. That's him printing

00:03:22.320 hundreds of billions of dollars, devaluing our money, causing inflation. Fuel costs. That's Trudeau's

00:03:28.240 carbon tax. Exchange rates. That's because our economy is losing ground compared to others like

00:03:33.680 the U.S. And I bet Lynx was paying lease payments on its airplanes in U.S. dollars and also buying fuel

00:03:39.840 and airport rights in the U.S. when they're in America in U.S. money. Cost of capital. That's another

00:03:46.400 way of saying interest rates have gone up, just like they've gone up for your mortgage payment too.

00:03:52.000 Regulatory costs. Pretty self-explanatory. Every fee, every piece of paperwork, every inspection,

00:03:57.280 every bureaucratic order that slows an airline down and adds costs. And competitive tension in

00:04:03.760 the Canadian market. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I think it's just what it sounds like.

00:04:08.080 In Canada, we protect incumbents. We protect the oligopoly, whether it's just a small number of

00:04:14.640 cell phone companies or a small number of banks or the dairy cartel. Customers lose out. Six reasons.

00:04:22.000 Every single one of them is a government-generated problem. I'm sad for the hundreds of Lynx staff who are

00:04:28.880 going to lose their jobs. Lynx flew to 20 destinations in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. I can guarantee you that

00:04:36.320 WestJet and Air Canada and Porter are going to raise their prices in those markets now. So that's what happened.

00:04:43.120 And what did Pablo Rodriguez, the transport minister, have to say? He said,

00:04:49.200 I'm closely following Lynx Air's announcement that they are filing for restructuring under the

00:04:53.440 company's Creditors Arrangement Act. Lynx is expected to cease operations on Sunday, February 25th.

00:04:59.040 I'm thinking of the Canadian travelers and workers affected by this news to families in the communities

00:05:03.120 across Canada who will feel the impact of this. For any travelers that had a return flight booked with

00:05:08.320 Lynx, I expect Lynx to help you get back home as soon as possible. I expect Lynx to fully refund you

00:05:14.000 if your fare won't be honored. My office has been in touch with Lynx. We will continue to communicate

00:05:19.520 with all parties, and we've convened calls with other airlines to see how they can help to ensure

00:05:23.920 that passengers are put first. What an awful announcement. First of all, it is blatantly obvious

00:05:30.400 that he had no idea that this was happening before it happened. Just clueless. Second, absolutely no

00:05:36.960 statement about Lynx's reasons for going out of business. Every single one of them are on him,

00:05:42.800 on the government's lap. The audacity of saying, he's going to make sure the passengers are well

00:05:47.760 treated. Really? What's he going to do? He's the guy who's saving the day? So he's telling you he's

00:05:53.280 the hero of this story, not the villain? But what a clueless defamer. Look at this reply from Lynx to him.

00:06:01.920 Lynx is not in possession of any monies paid from travelers that have not yet flown on one of our

00:06:07.520 flights. Credit card companies are holding those funds, so all passengers beyond February 26 should

00:06:14.160 contact their credit card company to access refunds. Did Pablo Rodriguez not know that? Before he

00:06:20.000 suggested Lynx was trying to pocket that money? Either way, it's a bad answer. If he knew the truth

00:06:26.720 and smeared Lynx anyways, that's absolutely on brand for these immoral thugs, the liberals. But the 0.99

00:06:33.600 other answer is just as bad. He's clueless. He doesn't care. He has no command of his file. He

00:06:38.480 doesn't read his briefing notes. He's too busy tweeting about how the carbon tax is wonderful,

00:06:42.640 or whatever he's doing. You know the carbon tax is going up in five weeks, right? April 1st. You

00:06:47.200 know it's going up again, right? And let's talk about that for a moment. You know Trudeau and Ron

00:06:51.840 Villegas call carbon dioxide pollution. You've heard them say that, right? It's not pollution. It's

00:06:57.600 colorless, odorless. Plants breathe it in for photosynthesis. It's really plant food. People

00:07:02.720 breathe it out. And all animals do too. Without CO2, all life on earth would cease to exist. But Trudeau

00:07:09.120 calls it pollution and uses that excuse to tax it, claiming that will somehow change the weather.

00:07:15.760 If you actually ever listen to the logic of Trudeau and his life on the carbon tax, it's this.

00:07:21.520 They say this. By taxing bad behavior, like emitting carbon dioxide, which means driving

00:07:27.680 or heating your home, by taxing that, they want you to do less of it. They're punishing it.

00:07:33.280 Stefan Dion, who first proposed the carbon tax when he ran for the liberals against Stephen Harper about

00:07:38.000 15 years ago, he called it the green shift. He said, well, tax things that use carbon and give people

00:07:43.520 the money back in rebates for other things that will punish certain behavior and reward other behavior.

00:07:48.880 So they punish driving. They punish farming. They punish flying on a low cost airline.

00:07:57.840 In other words, this is exactly what the carbon tax is designed to do.

00:08:02.480 Obviously, paying a tax in itself will not change the weather. Even kooks and know nothings like Trudeau

00:08:06.800 and Rodriguez know that. Their argument is that it will force people to make changes in their lifestyle

00:08:14.560 like not flying anymore. Hey, look at this article in CNN.

00:08:20.720 China, the world's biggest polluter at risk of missing climate targets, new report finds. 0.98

00:08:26.000 That's such a dumb headline. It's as if climate targets are the news in the story. The news isn't 0.90

00:08:31.360 some weird climate target. It's that China is laughing at every fool in the world who's cutting 0.98

00:08:35.520 back on CO2. They're building coal-fired power plants which emit carbon dioxide. They're building 0.93

00:08:40.000 them at a record rate. Here, let me quote from the story.

00:08:41.920 In just two years, the country has approved 218 gigawatts of new coal power, enough to supply

00:08:48.400 electricity to the whole of Brazil. China approved 114 gigawatts of coal power capacity in 2023,

00:08:55.360 up 10% from a year earlier. Construction started on 70 gigawatts of new coal plants last year,

00:09:00.880 up from 54 gigawatts a year earlier, with another 47 gigawatts going into operation,

00:09:06.240 up from 28 gigawatts in 2022, the analysis found. So Trudeau is taxing you, and taxing

00:09:13.200 Lynx Air, and taxing farmers, and taxing school buses, and taxing your home heating to cause you to

00:09:21.280 either use those things less, do those things less, or if you just can't do them less, if you just have

00:09:28.640 to drive to work, to make you poor. Energy poverty. That's the theory of the carbon tax. That's

00:09:36.000 their rationale, to punish polluters, to hold polluters accountable. You've heard Trudeau say

00:09:40.240 that. That's what they call farmers and Lynx passengers and moms driving their kids to soccer. 1.00

00:09:44.400 They call them polluters. Even though CO2 carbon dioxide is not pollution, even though China is 0.98

00:09:49.440 emitting more than pretty much every other country in the world combined, my point is this is their plan.

00:09:57.760 This is things working as they're supposed to in their minds. They've said that. They think flying is

00:10:04.960 a privilege that only they can do. They fly in private jets. They, I mean, politicians or oligarchs

00:10:11.120 like John Kerry, Joe Biden's climate guru. We keep bumping into him at the World Economic Forum and

00:10:16.880 asking about his private jet, and he hates that. Here's us asking him that question a year ago.

00:10:23.120 Secretary Kerry, do you think that the high price of natural gas is actually a helpful thing to get

00:10:30.000 people to transition to a green economy? I'd love to talk about it, but I just can't do it on the

00:10:36.240 run. How can you justify being here when you yourself take private jets? Can you answer that?

00:10:42.160 But you've taken a private jet before, no, but you've taken a private jet before to collect a

00:10:46.320 climate change award. You have done that. I fly commercially. And here's us asking him basically

00:10:51.520 the same questions this year. Last time we were here, we asked you a question about your private jet,

00:10:56.640 and you said you stopped flying private. I don't have a private jet. Are you going back to private

00:11:00.160 jets after your work with the Biden administration? Thank you very much. I do not have a private jet.

00:11:04.320 I didn't say you had one. I said you flew on one. Please make some space, huh? You don't fly on it.

00:11:09.600 When was the last time you flew private? So you see, he loves to fly. He just doesn't think

00:11:14.320 that little people should fly. So people like Justin Trudeau and John Kerry and Pablo Rodriguez, 0.96

00:11:19.360 they hate Lynx Air more than they hate WestJet or Air Canada because Lynx wanted to open up air

00:11:25.440 travel to the little people, to people for whom a $300 ticket to Florida is a once a year treat,

00:11:32.000 but people who could never do that if the airfare was $1,000. Those people, say Trudeau and Rodriguez

00:11:38.400 and Kerry, they should know their place. I've seen a glimpse of the future they like.

00:11:44.160 Here's Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, announcing Apple's headset visor a few months back.

00:11:51.280 And...

00:11:53.280 Dreamer, you're nothing but a dreamer. Well, can you put your hands in your head? Oh, no.

00:12:06.640 I said, dreamer. You say you are a dreamer. Well, can you put your hands in your head? Oh, no.

00:12:15.760 I said, fight. What a day for you, the life it is. Oh, no. Well, you know your head is coming to you.

00:12:29.760 I miss you so much.

00:12:36.880 Okay.

00:12:38.880 I'm a dreamer.

00:12:48.000 I'm a dreamer.

00:12:52.000 I'm a dreamer.

00:12:58.000 I'm a dreamer.

00:13:04.240 I'm a dreamer.

00:13:05.120 I'm a dreamer.

00:13:05.600 Hey, hey, hey.

00:13:06.480 I'm a dreamer.

00:13:08.000 I'm a dreamer.

00:13:09.040 Can you put your hands in your head? Oh, no.

00:13:15.840 Toast.

00:13:19.120 It's virtual reality. It's augmented reality, whatever you want to call it. You don't actually have to travel anywhere anymore. You can pretend.

00:13:27.120 You can be satisfied with just watching a video on your visor. You don't have to go on vacation.

00:13:35.920 Here's the World Economic Forum talking about how exciting this is for the little people.

00:13:40.320 There's going to be people of means who are going to travel. And then there's going to be people maybe

00:13:44.880 who are lesser means who might actually be able to use an Oculus or a Magic Leap or some other kind of device to travel to the same place, but from their own, their own couch.

00:13:54.080 Yeah, I saw this comic and it made me instantly sad. Just slow down for a second and look at that.

00:14:01.840 I think that's an incredibly sad cartoon.

00:14:05.760 That's the future they want for the little people. 1.00

00:14:08.080 As the World Economic Forum's Yuval Noah Harari says, most people are just useless and will spend their time playing video games and using drugs. That's their future. 0.51

00:14:19.760 Again, I think that the biggest question maybe in economics and politics of the coming decades will be what to do with all these useless people.

00:14:29.440 I don't think we have an economic model for that. My best guess, which is just a guess, is that food will not be a problem.

00:14:40.080 With that kind of technology, you will be able to produce food to feed everybody. The problem is more boredom.

00:14:48.280 And what to do with them and how will they find some sense of meaning in life when they are basically meaningless, worthless.

00:14:56.840 My best guess at present is a combination of drugs and computer games.

00:15:02.120 I don't know. Maybe I'm being too dramatic, right? Maybe this is just another airline failing, just another company in Canada that realizes we're not really a free market country.

00:15:10.680 Maybe it's not some global conspiracy to stop little people from flying.

00:15:16.360 I mean, actually, there is. It's called Sustainable Aviation. Here's the World Economic Forum's website on that.

00:15:22.320 It's another way of saying flying should be a luxury good, just like driving, just like eating meat.

00:15:28.660 For the little people, just put on your Apple visor. 0.98

00:15:33.440 They're trying to make you poorer and unhappier.

00:15:36.840 And Lynx's demise shows it's happening.

00:15:38.900 Stay with us for more.

00:15:52.040 Hey, welcome back. You know, I see David Menzies quite a bit, but he's usually out in the field.

00:15:57.520 His title is Mission Specialist, after all.

00:15:59.940 And he's scooting around, finding the news on the streets.

00:16:03.460 That's why it's so interesting.

00:16:04.720 I've always said that Rebel News' strengths, I think we have two that really set us apart.

00:16:09.140 One, of course, is our activism.

00:16:11.040 Every now and then we stop and don't just tell a story.

00:16:13.260 We try and change the story by fixing things.

00:16:16.640 I think that's a real Rebel News signature.

00:16:18.520 But the other is, you know, a lot of journalists and pundits, and it's perfectly legitimate,

00:16:22.880 they just talk about the world in a studio.

00:16:25.000 I guess I do that every night myself.

00:16:26.420 I call it my monologue.

00:16:27.580 But David's strength is he's out there in the world, and you never know what you're going to find out there.

00:16:33.200 You never know.

00:16:33.880 And there's nothing more interesting than people.

00:16:35.880 And one of the most interesting stories David recently did was covering a volleyball game.

00:16:41.640 It's supposed to be women's volleyball, but there are all these, well, what's the word?

00:16:46.260 Blokes.

00:16:46.980 All these lads.

00:16:48.320 All these fellas who were playing in what was supposed to be a women's game. 1.00

00:16:52.900 And they sure like smashing the ball, spiking it.

00:16:55.320 Here's a couple minutes of refresher of what David found on a recent mission.

00:17:00.460 Folks, we were tipped off about this by insiders in female volleyball, which think this is absolutely outrageous. 1.00

00:17:10.060 So much so that real biological women have needed medical assistance thanks to taking spikes off their head. 1.00

00:17:20.520 That's a spike ball, I mean.

00:17:22.060 And sure enough, when we watched the game, there were four games played.

00:17:26.540 Seneca won three games of one out of five.

00:17:28.720 And clearly, the males were the dominant players when it came to serving and spiking.

00:17:37.180 Sir, sir, why are you playing with the woman? 0.99

00:17:39.540 Why are you taking away a real woman's spot? 1.00

00:17:42.440 Are you a misogynist?

00:17:44.020 Excuse me. 0.97

00:17:44.820 You're not allowed over here.

00:17:46.680 I'm just asking questions.

00:17:48.220 You're not allowed over here.

00:17:48.960 Who are you, ma'am?

00:17:50.220 You're not allowed over here.

00:17:51.560 Why?

00:17:52.440 Hey, don't touch me.

00:17:54.060 You touched me.

00:17:54.760 You ran into me.

00:17:55.520 You ran into me.

00:17:56.480 We got it on camera, ma'am.

00:17:57.640 Call security.

00:17:58.060 Call security.

00:17:59.340 Okay.

00:17:59.940 Why are you allowing men to play with biological females? 1.00

00:18:03.440 Sir, why are you taking away a spot from a real woman? 1.00

00:18:06.900 Look at this, folks.

00:18:08.140 Look at this, please.

00:18:08.780 Please, please, please.

00:18:09.460 Can you please leave?

00:18:10.300 Hey, excuse me.

00:18:11.160 Don't touch me, sir.

00:18:12.020 You're not allowed.

00:18:12.380 Don't touch me.

00:18:13.180 Don't touch me. 0.93

00:18:13.880 What's wrong with you?

00:18:14.620 Why are men playing with... 0.73

00:18:15.660 Don't touch me.

00:18:17.180 Huh?

00:18:17.840 Why are men playing with women? 0.96

00:18:19.380 Are you a misogynist?

00:18:20.780 Can you please leave?

00:18:22.140 Why are you aiding and abetting the attack on women's sports? 0.52

00:18:26.300 Well, I understand that scandalous video has caused a reaction from the college in question,

00:18:30.660 but not perhaps the reaction that you might think.

00:18:33.140 David, great to see you again.

00:18:34.340 Thank you so much, Ezra.

00:18:35.240 I understand that the boss of the school where this was, tell me again, is it Centennial College?

00:18:40.780 Is that what...

00:18:41.040 Centennial College, and the name of the president and CEO is Dr. Craig Stevenson, and he issued a statement.

00:18:48.380 Oh, good.

00:18:48.680 So he was denouncing the men beating up the girls, and he was making a stand for women's sports, right?

00:18:53.960 That's what I thought the statement was going to be, because as you know, there were no fewer than five men.

00:19:00.940 That's almost 50% of the starting roster of both teams on the court.

00:19:06.380 That wasn't a female volleyball game. 1.00

00:19:08.180 That was a co-ed volleyball game, Ezra.

00:19:10.480 Yeah, good point.

00:19:11.240 And so Dr. Stevenson, he begins his statement by, quote,

00:19:17.700 you may have heard about the awful harassment our community members endured at the women's volleyball game between the Colts and Seneca Sting.

00:19:26.740 So surely he's talking about the men who were playing and smashing the ball on the girls, right?

00:19:30.660 That's what I thought.

00:19:32.320 I want to assure you that I have personally reached out to every student and employee who were directly impacted,

00:19:40.620 expressing how horrified I was that they had to undergo the experience both at the moment and following the posting of a video online.

00:19:51.100 End quote.

00:19:51.320 Ezra, if you didn't know this was a volleyball game, you would swear that's the language they use when they're talking about a mass shooting on campus.

00:19:57.900 But they still haven't said who the bad guy is and who the good guy is.

00:20:00.720 So if you actually thought that this president was standing up for the women on the team and how the men embarrassed them on TV,

00:20:08.660 you could still at this point think, oh, he's going to mention that the victims here were the women and the perpetrators were the men.

00:20:14.300 But you would still be wrong.

00:20:15.240 Continue with the statement.

00:20:15.920 Okay.

00:20:16.840 Quote, our team has taken steps to ensure their well-being is our priority, including making sure they have access to every support and accommodation they might need at this time.

00:20:28.100 The harassment of student athletes, staff, and guests from both Centennial and Seneca College was unacceptable.

00:20:36.920 End quote.

00:20:37.600 Ezra, harassment?

00:20:38.900 Oh, there was harassment all right that day.

00:20:41.020 It was against Avery and I, including a member of the Rainbow Mafia, and I don't know if you want to throw to this clip, he wanted to beat up Avery. 0.86

00:20:50.420 Only security guards prevented that from happening.

00:20:52.940 Yeah, there was some bad behavior there.

00:20:54.140 Let's show a clip of that.

00:20:55.860 You know, it's very funny how this president is saying things very earnestly, but he still hasn't actually talked about what he's talking about.

00:21:03.460 He's talking around it.

00:21:04.780 He hasn't described what the problem is.

00:21:06.860 That probably took a team of bureaucrats to write in a committee, but here's a clip of the harassment and the threats.

00:21:13.860 Just take a look at that.

00:21:14.840 Why are you talking to me then?

00:21:16.060 Well, you came to us, actually.

00:21:17.120 You came to me.

00:21:18.300 No, you came to us.

00:21:19.460 So why are you being disrespectful then?

00:21:20.200 Huh?

00:21:20.420 Why are you being disrespectful?

00:21:21.620 Why are you being transphobic?

00:21:22.800 Why?

00:21:23.260 Wait, wait, no.

00:21:23.700 Answer my question.

00:21:23.860 Am I being transphobic? 0.99

00:21:25.400 Can you shut up? 0.97

00:21:26.580 Why? 0.99

00:21:27.100 Oh, wow.

00:21:27.660 Answer my question.

00:21:28.460 Did we trigger you?

00:21:29.460 No, you didn't trigger me.

00:21:30.360 Are you trans too?

00:21:31.920 Do I look trans to you?

00:21:33.140 Who knows these days?

00:21:34.340 Okay, so why are you asking that question then?

00:21:35.000 What about you characters?

00:21:35.860 How about you guys?

00:21:37.200 No comment. 0.99

00:21:38.340 I hope you can go rotten, Kyle. 1.00

00:21:40.200 You fucking wife. 1.00

00:21:41.160 Wow. 1.00

00:21:42.160 What happened to love Trump's hate?

00:21:44.080 Aw. 0.99

00:21:45.260 I'm going to die on you anyway. 1.00

00:21:46.740 I'm going to kill you. 1.00

00:21:47.500 You fucking fucking fucking. 1.00

00:21:48.100 I'm going to try. 1.00

00:21:49.240 You want to go play?

00:21:50.280 What? 1.00

00:21:50.900 I don't give a fuck. 1.00

00:21:51.760 You own this place? 1.00

00:21:52.900 Oh, did we trigger you?

00:21:54.120 Okay, okay.

00:21:54.920 Okay. 1.00

00:21:55.400 I'm a fucking woman. 1.00

00:21:56.260 Then tell me. 1.00

00:21:56.800 You have a fucking vagina. 1.00

00:21:57.640 I don't give a fucking hip of a vagina. 1.00

00:21:59.340 Did we trigger you, sir or ma'am? 1.00

00:22:01.340 Okay, first of all, I wasn't talking to you. 1.00

00:22:02.640 So shut the fuck up. 1.00

00:22:03.600 And you. 1.00

00:22:04.080 I don't care.

00:22:04.580 What?

00:22:05.700 Wow.

00:22:07.420 Wow. 1.00

00:22:10.540 Sir, are you suffering from mental illness? 1.00

00:22:13.060 Sir, why would you want to strike a biological female? 1.00

00:22:16.760 All right.

00:22:17.320 Well, is there more in his statement?

00:22:19.340 There is.

00:22:20.280 And I think the piece de la resistance, Ezra, oh, by the way, he also, and I'm sending him

00:22:30.600 a thank you card for this.

00:22:31.980 He is urging the students at Centennial not to view our video or share it.

00:22:37.160 Now, once you tell somebody not to watch something, I think it's called the Barbra Streisand effect,

00:22:43.200 isn't it?

00:22:43.780 So because of the traumatization that occurred, he suggests reaching out, that's the students who experienced it firsthand or saw the video.

00:22:58.420 He wants them to go to counselors at the Center for Accessible Learning and Counseling Services and the Good to Talk Helpline and the International Student Helpline, as well as the domestic student helpline.

00:23:13.460 Now, for the protected rainbow class, Ezra, he directs them to the, I'll read it verbatim. 0.95

00:23:21.260 Quote, some of you will find comfort in connecting with the Queering Community Student Collective, a community space and support network for 2SLGBTQQIA+, i.e. two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer questioning, intersex and asexual students and allies at Centennial College.

00:23:46.900 The Queering Community Student Collective stands in solidarity with you, end quote.

00:23:52.680 Well, I actually see myself reflecting in the 2SLGBTQ2SAXYZ because I'm questioning, I like to question most things.

00:24:00.820 And I think you went to ask questions.

00:24:02.840 I'm not sure if that's the kind of questioning that they're talking about, but they didn't like your kind of questions.

00:24:08.480 Now, where was this statement issued?

00:24:11.560 Was this in a tweet?

00:24:12.280 Was this in a press release?

00:24:13.260 I think it was on social media, and I should tell you, a Centennial College student who was embarrassed by this sent it out.

00:24:22.000 You know, it's hard to tell, Ezra, how much of the campuses woke that think that men taking female spaces is diversity, inclusion and equity, when it really is misogyny.

00:24:32.900 And how many of the students just hold their nose, divert their eyes and say, look, I just want my degree, then I'm out of this hellhole.

00:24:40.460 Because, as you know, cancel culture, especially when it comes to this community, very real thing.

00:24:45.740 Yeah, very interesting.

00:24:47.500 You know, Justin Trudeau, of course, being a thought leader, a worldwide thought leader, has defunded the Canadian military.

00:24:57.240 We really haven't, we don't have the equipment to participate in any NATO exercises anymore.

00:25:02.260 We were actually absent in the last major UN exercise.

00:25:06.240 Before that, we were absent in, traditionally, there's a military, Air Force games in Alberta.

00:25:13.140 Those haven't been on for, we just don't have the equipment anymore.

00:25:16.420 We don't do peacekeeping anymore.

00:25:18.600 But Trudeau found money to put tampon machines in men's washrooms on different military bases.

00:25:25.600 I see they're doing that on high school campuses and university campuses.

00:25:31.920 And there was a recent case, I read about it, about a kid who ripped off the tampon machine and put it in the toilet.

00:25:39.480 And the principal called it a hate crime.

00:25:42.080 But, you know what, public response, they were going to suspend the kid.

00:25:45.700 But the public, I think that we really are at the tipping point of a lot of these things.

00:25:49.800 And what's encouraging to me is Canada, which is a country of passive-aggressive conflict avoidance.

00:25:59.960 First, it was Blaine Higgs, the premier of New Brunswick.

00:26:03.560 Then it's Daniel Smith, the premier of Alberta.

00:26:06.400 Then Pierre Polly, the leader of the opposition, the man who, according to polls, is most likely to be the next prime minister.

00:26:11.580 And I think courage can be contagious.

00:26:15.520 Cowardness is definitely contagious, but courage is contagious too.

00:26:18.580 And I have no doubt that those politicians are all guided in part by public opinion polls that show that most Canadians think this is madness.

00:26:26.100 And it's interesting because immigration to Canada is so high.

00:26:30.980 But most new immigrants come from cultures that find this transgender stuff absolutely batty. 1.00

00:26:38.180 100%.

00:26:38.780 And, you know, I mean, this story kind of went viral as our original piece about all these male volleyball players.

00:26:45.600 Got picked up by the UK's Daily Mail, the New York Post.

00:26:48.820 Oh, by the way, 0.0 mainstream media.

00:26:52.420 They're not interested in that.

00:26:54.280 Heavy hitters online weighed in.

00:26:56.120 Martina Navratilova, the tennis legend.

00:26:58.240 Yeah, very famous.

00:26:59.120 Yeah.

00:26:59.460 And by the way, she's the L in LGBTQ2+. 1.00

00:27:04.100 Oh, yeah.

00:27:04.580 LGBTQ2+, that's an inherently unstable molecule. 1.00

00:27:13.620 Yeah. 0.97

00:27:14.520 I mean, I know what gay is. 0.99

00:27:16.320 I know what lesbian is. 1.00

00:27:17.620 I don't think bisexual is a large political faction.

00:27:21.800 But T is actually contrary to the L and the B.

00:27:25.900 L and the G. 0.97

00:27:26.540 And that's why you have organizations, Ezra, such as LGB Without the T, because smart gays, lesbians, and bisexuals realize the trans agenda is about effectively canceling them.

00:27:40.100 You know, a young, a boy that, you know, is, say, effeminate, you know, that is now automatically labeled, that's a girl trapped in a boy's body.

00:27:51.460 A girl who's a tomboy, that's a boy trapped in a girl's body.

00:27:55.100 Prep them for surgery, get the hormones going. 0.99

00:27:57.560 Maybe they're, it's a gay man, a lesbian woman. 0.97

00:28:00.640 So they realize this is a very dangerous agenda when it comes to the radical transgender movement. 0.93

00:28:08.260 You know what?

00:28:09.300 Teenage years are difficult and challenging years for everybody, I think.

00:28:13.320 And, you know, a tomboy could be just a phase, or an effeminate boy might just be a phase.

00:28:17.480 Yeah. 0.99

00:28:17.800 But now, or they might be gay. 0.96

00:28:20.180 I remember meeting the head of the Gay Men's Network in the UK, and I'd never heard it put this way before.

00:28:24.700 He said that if he was young now, they would have said, you're not gay, you're a woman, they would have chalked him up.

00:28:30.580 A hundred percent.

00:28:31.080 And I think it's terrifying.

00:28:32.680 And so I find it bizarre, the energy and the commitment to this issue.

00:28:37.820 Justin Trudeau has tripled down on it.

00:28:39.840 Yep.

00:28:40.820 But I think there's some courage.

00:28:42.240 And one of the things I talk about, as you know, is the ASH conformity test.

00:28:48.980 I know we talked about that a lot.

00:28:50.100 Oh, yes.

00:28:50.560 During the lockdowns.

00:28:52.080 If you feel like you're the only person in the world who has a certain point of view, there's a tendency to go along with the mob just so you don't get embarrassed.

00:29:00.160 Yeah.

00:29:01.220 The ASH conformity test, one of the things it tests is if there's simply just one other person who's telling the truth.

00:29:07.180 Just one other person.

00:29:08.620 It gives so many more people courage.

00:29:10.360 And that's the role that Rebel News plays.

00:29:12.380 And I think that's the role that you personally play in a lot of this trans insanity. 1.00

00:29:16.240 Because if you were only to go by the CBC, CTV Global, the official sources, you'd say, oh, I guess I'm really the only person who's not down with the trans agenda. 0.88

00:29:26.600 There was a plebiscite in the small town of Westlock, Alberta.

00:29:31.340 Oh, yes.

00:29:32.620 I've been to Westlock, pretty conservative town.

00:29:34.340 They had a plebiscite because they've got this, like it's a tiny town, and they have this trans pride sidewalk.

00:29:43.640 And they had a plebiscite on neutrality.

00:29:48.280 Not to ban anything, but just from now on, the only flags and sidewalks that will be in that town are official government flags.

00:29:56.440 The Maple Leaf flag, the Alberta flag, maybe.

00:30:00.540 I don't know if there's a Westlock flag.

00:30:01.700 And all sidewalks will be normal colors.

00:30:04.340 And this plebiscite passed, and the gnashing of the teeth from the Globe and Mail is weighing in.

00:30:11.100 Pride flags banned.

00:30:13.220 No, they're not banned.

00:30:14.760 Fly all the pride flags you want.

00:30:16.320 If you want to fly from Toronto to Edmonton and then drive to Westlock and fly your pride flag, go ahead. 0.99

00:30:24.700 It's just not going to be on government properties.

00:30:26.620 It's politically neutral.

00:30:27.880 There won't be any Black Lives Matter flags.

00:30:29.420 There won't be White Lives Matter flags.

00:30:32.620 There won't be pro-Ukraine flags.

00:30:33.960 There won't be pro-Russia flags.

00:30:35.200 There won't be pro-Palestine flags.

00:30:36.680 There won't be pro-Israel flags.

00:30:38.100 It'll just be the Canadian flag.

00:30:39.420 Yeah.

00:30:39.580 And I think this is the latest indication that the hive mind of the far left does not have support amongst the people.

00:30:53.460 I think you're right.

00:30:54.420 And, you know, when it comes to flags, Ezra, we see a growing number of schools that are actually breaking flag protocol.

00:31:02.260 On the staff, only the Canadian flag should fly.

00:31:06.020 But as you know, Pride Day became Pride Week, became Pride Month, became Pride Season.

00:31:11.180 Now it's Pride Year. 0.96

00:31:12.020 And the rainbow flag is up there, sharing the same staff as the Canadian flag that's against protocol.

00:31:19.240 But heck, we're going to do it.

00:31:20.800 The second point I want to make is that at Centennial College, and I'm sure at every post-secondary education institute, Ezra,

00:31:28.500 there's got to be a women's club, a feminist federation. 1.00

00:31:32.860 I'm betting the numbers show more than half the campus is bona fide 100% biological females going to post-secondary school now.

00:31:42.980 Why aren't they out there protesting these sausage fests that are pretending to be women's sports? 1.00

00:31:49.260 Why aren't they and their male allies doing this?

00:31:52.160 I think it's a fear of cancel culture.

00:31:54.820 But as you said, hope abounds.

00:31:57.300 We have seen Premier Smith, Pierre Polyev, come out and take a stand.

00:32:02.640 I think maybe the pendulum might be swinging.

00:32:06.460 Let's hope so, because I see a lot of indoctrination on campus.

00:32:11.160 Maybe the next generation coming up is going to reject this indoctrination.

00:32:15.420 Well, it could well be.

00:32:16.580 It's very interesting days, and I wish you to continue your work.

00:32:21.260 Great to have you in the studio.

00:32:22.460 Thanks.

00:32:22.720 I know you're rushing out the door to do your next project.

00:32:25.420 Yes.

00:32:25.780 Stay with us.

00:32:28.460 Your letters to me are next.

00:32:41.460 Hey, welcome back.

00:32:42.220 Your letters, BRCX.

00:32:43.400 It says, God forbid there be multiple perspectives as asserted by core ideals of classical liberalism. 0.89

00:32:48.420 This is disgusting.

00:32:49.380 And Justin Trudeau is not to blame anymore at this point.

00:32:52.480 The Canadian people either step up or get stepped on at this point. 0.61

00:32:57.120 I don't know.

00:32:57.780 Trudeau is such a good talker.

00:32:59.580 He really is a dramatic actor and thespian.

00:33:01.960 And when he says we need common facts to agree on, you know, that sounds sort of nice.

00:33:06.600 We have to remind people, no, there's more than one opinion.

00:33:09.880 Sometimes there's more than two opinions.

00:33:12.060 And you want to hear both sides of the story.

00:33:14.340 That's what I remember when I chose the model for Rebel News, telling the other side of the story.

00:33:19.580 First of all, that's what we do.

00:33:21.360 So it's a good model for us.

00:33:22.700 But it's a reminder to people, hey, there is another side of the story.

00:33:25.920 These days there's the official narrative and then there's everything else that's canceled.

00:33:31.260 West New West says, while I do not always appreciate Rebel News, I do take full comfort in the fact that Rebel will be here long after Trudeau has faded off into the distance.

00:33:39.260 Well, I sure hope so.

00:33:41.260 And we're doing everything we can to hold him accountable, especially when the regime media won't.

00:33:47.680 That's our show for today.

00:33:49.340 Until Monday, on behalf of all of us here at Rebel World Headquarters, to you at home, good night.

00:33:54.200 And keep fighting for freedom.

00:34:09.260 And keep fighting for freedom.
