Rebel News Podcast - Miss Understood No. 31 — The Dirty Legacy Of Hugh Hefner

00:00:00.000 Ready? 0.89

00:00:00.980 I'm gonna talk like a Playboy bunny. 0.67

00:00:02.220 Yeah.

00:00:25.940 Hello!

00:00:26.660 Hello, and welcome to Misunderstood.

00:00:31.280 World peace.

00:00:33.260 The show for the culturally and politically misunderstood lady or gent. 0.80

00:00:40.720 We are your hosts.

00:00:43.260 I'm Nat.

00:00:45.300 And I'm Cash.

00:00:47.440 Actually, I'm Tash.

00:00:48.860 I'm Cash.

00:00:50.180 She's Kit.

00:00:51.040 I'm Kit-ten. 0.52

00:00:52.680 Kit-ten. 0.95

00:00:55.280 Okay.

00:00:56.660 And today, this is part two.

00:01:00.000 Sorry.

00:01:00.480 Me.

00:01:00.820 This is part two of our two-part series, and it's actually our Dirty 30.

00:01:06.040 It's the 30th episode.

00:01:07.000 Technically 31.

00:01:08.160 It's technically 31.

00:01:09.200 But dirty.

00:01:09.980 But we're wearing the same clothes.

00:01:11.840 Because we're poor.

00:01:12.860 Because we have no money.

00:01:14.340 We're very poor.

00:01:14.940 So this is what you get.

00:01:17.700 Yeah.

00:01:17.880 It's part two of our two-part episode.

00:01:21.340 And we were just last week talking about Nickelodeon.

00:01:27.700 Dan Schneider.

00:01:28.720 It was a whole week ago, so how could I possibly remember?

00:01:33.160 Nickelodeon and Dan Schneider and the infantilization of women and that we're doing to ourselves. 0.99

00:01:38.320 Yeah.

00:01:38.800 Acting like young girls when we're women.

00:01:40.960 It's messed up.

00:01:42.040 But today, we're going to be talking about Playboy.

00:01:44.260 There's been a lot of dirt coming out about specifically Hugh Hefner and Playboy from some of his former bunnies.

00:01:52.920 Yes.

00:01:53.120 So before we get into the dirty details, let's just talk about maybe some history.

00:02:00.060 So actually, in the beginning, which was around the 1960s, the bunnies were simply young women who worked as waitstaff in Playboy clubs.

00:02:07.720 So prospective bunnies had to audition in order to get the job.

00:02:10.660 Bunnies working at Playboy clubs had to abide by some strict rules. 0.98

00:02:13.900 And they could immediately be fired for dating other employees or guests.

00:02:16.980 A bunny mother, which won Playboy club's 1968 manual, describes as a role similar to that of a college advisor.

00:02:24.340 It sounds like Elaine a little bit.

00:02:26.500 Would be in charge of supervising the bunnies.

00:02:29.260 In 1963, journalist Gloria Steinem went undercover as a bunny to write an expose. 0.94

00:02:34.360 While Hefner claimed to be a proponent of sexual liberation, Steinem's reporting shone a light on some of the objectification and problematic working conditions the bunnies experienced.

00:02:43.240 Few bunnies, by their original definition, exist.

00:02:45.660 And then you fast forward, today the term bunnies is often used to describe Hefner's girlfriends as well as Playboy club employees.

00:02:52.460 His girlfriends reportedly received a weekly stipend of $1,000 in cash along with room and board at the Playboy mansion, money for breast augmentation, and free hair care, according to the New York Times.

00:03:02.620 So times have churned. 0.55

00:03:03.980 Yeah, and they're also just like straight up like porn stars. 0.96

00:03:07.240 Yeah. 0.99

00:03:07.660 Yeah.

00:03:08.300 Yeah.

00:03:08.700 Like nude models. 0.98

00:03:09.580 Nude models. 0.98

00:03:10.200 Yeah.

00:03:10.460 It's tasteful.

00:03:11.340 Let's call it.

00:03:12.220 Let's be classy here, Kat.

00:03:13.440 Okay.

00:03:14.020 Sorry.

00:03:14.200 It's tasteful.

00:03:16.640 So Hugh Hefner obviously is dead.

00:03:18.960 He died in 2017 of what, Kat?

00:03:21.280 Sepsis.

00:03:21.900 Sorry, what?

00:03:22.540 Sepsis.

00:03:22.960 That sounds really sexy.

00:03:24.660 It's sexy sepsis.

00:03:25.380 Sexy and fun.

00:03:26.440 Okay, so he's dead, but his legacy lives on.

00:03:29.720 Yes.

00:03:30.080 And we're a little confused, I think, about what to think about some of these allegations.

00:03:34.600 And we'll get into a little bit more why later.

00:03:37.180 But let's start with one of the more recent ones that we've seen on the interwebs.

00:03:41.140 Take it away, Kurt.

00:03:42.160 Sir.

00:03:42.860 Kurt.

00:03:43.420 I'm Kurt.

00:03:44.380 A nerd.

00:03:44.700 Okay, so one of these first articles is from the New York Post. 1.00

00:03:48.020 Playboy bunnies fed to Hef like meat in gross hoarder orgy room. 0.99

00:03:51.740 Now, that sounds pretty bad. 1.00

00:03:54.260 It's really bad.

00:03:55.120 Like meat.

00:03:55.820 Meat.

00:03:56.500 Like fed to.

00:03:57.580 Fed to.

00:03:58.300 Like he's a cannibal.

00:03:59.500 Yes, exactly.

00:04:01.020 It's not true.

00:04:02.040 He's not a cannibal.

00:04:03.140 Yeah, so.

00:04:03.880 That we know of.

00:04:04.500 It's kind of, so there's a lot, because some of the things, like, so, okay, so here is

00:04:09.440 a quote from the article.

00:04:11.040 It says there was multiple allegations against Hugh Hefner, including, this is the quote,

00:04:16.600 force feeding drugs to women. 0.97

00:04:18.340 Not good. 1.00

00:04:19.920 Subjecting Playboy models to sexual abuse and having sex with a dog. 1.00

00:04:25.020 Now. 1.00

00:04:25.680 Yeah.

00:04:26.740 Someone go get that dog. 1.00

00:04:28.700 And give it a hug.

00:04:29.580 I will adopt it.

00:04:30.540 Yes.

00:04:30.780 I will take the dog.

00:04:31.480 The poor dog.

00:04:33.220 But these are allegations, again.

00:04:34.760 Very, it needs to be said that even though Hugh Hefner is, like, especially, actually,

00:04:38.440 because he's not here to defend himself anymore, it's important that we absolutely say that

00:04:42.560 these are allegations.

00:04:44.080 Nothing here has been determined in a court of law.

00:04:46.540 But it is being, there is a, like a, what's it called?

00:04:51.080 Like a docu-series that's come out recently by A&E.

00:04:54.920 It's a 10-part series called The Secret Life of a Playboy.

00:04:57.760 And that's kind of why people are talking about this right now.

00:05:01.020 And these allegations of abuse.

00:05:04.500 So, and there's two former Playboy bunnies, specifically Holly Madison and Bridget Markart.

00:05:10.360 Yeah.

00:05:10.640 Markart. 0.58

00:05:11.560 And they detailed what it was like having unprotected sex with Hugh Hefner turn by turn. 0.98

00:05:17.860 So, again, that's awful. 0.97

00:05:20.580 Yes.

00:05:20.840 Sounds really gross.

00:05:21.860 Horrible.

00:05:22.120 However, you read the article and Holly Madison, she was, and again, it grows.

00:05:28.680 She was 21 when she moved into the mansion and Hugh Hefner was 75.

00:05:32.500 But apparently she started dating him.

00:05:36.240 Yeah.

00:05:36.440 So, there's a bit of background about her. 0.81

00:05:39.800 So, she first encountered him who was then 74.

00:05:43.240 And after a year of being a regular at the mansion, she decided to move out and be one

00:05:48.540 of his girlfriends.

00:05:49.500 Or move in.

00:05:49.900 Yeah.

00:05:50.240 Move out of her house. 0.94

00:05:51.320 Oh, sorry.

00:05:51.600 Move in with him.

00:05:51.980 Sorry.

00:05:52.620 Because a spot had opened up.

00:05:54.660 And she said she had been assured that none of them actually had to have sex with Hefner.

00:05:59.220 And it seemed like a nice and free place to live.

00:06:02.600 Hello.

00:06:03.520 You're living there rent free.

00:06:05.560 Nothing is free, honey.

00:06:07.140 Nothing ain't free, girlfriend.

00:06:07.940 Nothing is free.

00:06:08.760 Your mother should have taught you that.

00:06:09.940 And you made a great point before we started filming.

00:06:11.680 Like, you went to be his boyfriend, girlfriend.

00:06:14.120 Like, what do you think that implies?

00:06:16.020 That implies sex.

00:06:17.220 Yeah.

00:06:17.400 So, again, important.

00:06:18.980 And neither of us think that just because you're dating someone, does that mean you 0.67

00:06:22.920 have to have sex with them? 0.67

00:06:23.840 No. 0.97

00:06:24.060 No one should be forced to do anything.

00:06:25.600 Nothing should be coerced.

00:06:26.880 But when daddy's paying for your entire life.

00:06:29.580 And you're his girlfriend. 0.84

00:06:30.580 And you know what he does for a living.

00:06:32.000 You know he's like.

00:06:33.040 Not to mention he has multiple girlfriends at once.

00:06:35.240 Yes, exactly.

00:06:36.000 So, it's like he's obviously not an upstanding citizen.

00:06:38.360 And he obviously considers you an object if he needs to pay his girlfriends to stay with

00:06:43.760 him.

00:06:44.020 Yes.

00:06:44.260 And also, none of these things in this, any of these, like these girls, Holly Madison and 0.93

00:06:48.800 Bridget, Mark Cart, or I'm just going to say Holly and Bridget, they have not alleged

00:06:52.460 that he forced himself on them.

00:06:55.260 So, all of the, they say like they were fed in meat, like meat. 0.99

00:07:01.300 It's all like, it's all like if you don't have sex with Hugh Hefner, you could lose your 0.93

00:07:06.100 job or you could lose your spot in the house.

00:07:07.840 But it's not like he's forcing you or chaining you up.

00:07:11.320 Like these, it's important to make that distinction because while I feel like this is very uncomfortable

00:07:16.440 and disturbing, they could have packed up their bags at any time.

00:07:20.500 Yes.

00:07:20.840 And left.

00:07:21.200 No one was locking them in there.

00:07:22.580 Apparently.

00:07:23.240 Like according to them, according to them, they weren't locked in there.

00:07:26.420 Apparently, he did blackmail those who lived in the house, according to people.

00:07:29.900 And Holly also alleges that they were pressured to get plastic surgery. 0.95

00:07:33.600 And apparently, Playboy bunnies were often targeted by club members. 0.97

00:07:39.860 So, there's an FBI investigation and their former security guard, Jim Ellis, and Bunny

00:07:46.180 Mother claimed that the women who worked at Playboy clubs are vulnerable to the club, alleging 0.99

00:07:50.100 that the women were often drugged and assaulted and the men who frequent the club.

00:07:53.680 So, this is actually even going back to the start of Playboy, like before Holly Madison

00:07:57.540 and all that.

00:07:58.040 So, it had a seedy beginning.

00:07:59.520 Yeah.

00:07:59.620 In one 1978 incident, six Playboy bunnies were kidnapped, drugged, and raped while held

00:08:03.860 captive in New Jersey, according to the New York Times.

00:08:06.600 And the FBI were convinced that there was rampant drug use going on.

00:08:09.820 And they targeted Hefner, who claimed it was a witch hunt.

00:08:13.880 And it was none of these allegations were true.

00:08:15.600 So, knowing all that history.

00:08:17.440 Yeah.

00:08:17.920 Like you can't how, like there aren't many values associated with Playboy, I'm going to

00:08:22.500 say, just out the gate.

00:08:23.720 Like what is the responsibility of the woman not to move into a house and do your research 1.00

00:08:29.040 where you're definitely going to be forced to have sex with the owner who is like, who 0.97

00:08:36.460 like sells pornography and women for a living. 0.99

00:08:40.780 Yeah.

00:08:41.000 And it's confusing because some women are coming out in support of these women who are speaking

00:08:46.320 out against him.

00:08:47.120 But other people are completely opposed to what they're saying.

00:08:51.600 And they consider him to be, he treated them well.

00:08:54.580 He was a great guy.

00:08:56.360 There's a really good quote, actually.

00:08:58.940 One of his girlfriends previously wrote about Madison in a Facebook post.

00:09:03.500 You chose to stay there.

00:09:04.440 You chose to pose nude.

00:09:05.840 You chose to do a reality show.

00:09:07.140 You also chose to write a book.

00:09:08.660 I never wrote a book to line my pockets with money.

00:09:10.880 I moved on without condemning half the staff, his friends, or any of the other girls that

00:09:14.140 lived there while I was there.

00:09:16.580 If you're so hurt, give back the thousand dollars of cash Hef gave you every week or seven cars

00:09:20.980 while you were there, along with your health care, cars, car insurance, golf cart, weekly

00:09:24.460 hair salon visits, weekly clothing allowance, weekly makeup artists, and all the cash on

00:09:28.640 your plastic surgery room and board with butler service, maid service, and high-end dogs.

00:09:32.640 I disagree.

00:09:33.780 I agreed with the first part.

00:09:35.500 You chose to stay there.

00:09:36.380 You chose to do this thing.

00:09:37.200 But he gave you money.

00:09:39.420 You don't have to give that back.

00:09:40.580 No.

00:09:40.840 But I think it's interesting that she pretends to be this victim, and yet she was able to

00:09:45.860 leave the house freely in 2008, and then she went off to write a book exposing Hugh

00:09:50.460 after living this-

00:09:51.320 After he died, right?

00:09:52.980 Or was it-

00:09:53.520 No, she left him in 2008. 0.55

00:09:54.940 Right.

00:09:55.200 But when did the book come out?

00:09:56.600 When he was alive or dead?

00:09:57.500 I don't actually know.

00:09:58.080 I actually don't know.

00:09:58.960 But it's now, because these two girls, Holly and Bridget, have a podcast, and now they're

00:10:04.840 talking about this stuff.

00:10:05.720 And it's like, it's such a hard thing, because I do not, I won't just hashtag believe all

00:10:15.560 women. 0.81

00:10:15.980 No.

00:10:16.320 Because-

00:10:16.940 Because the truth matters.

00:10:17.900 Humans lie. 0.66

00:10:19.220 Women lie. 1.00

00:10:20.060 Men lie. 0.97

00:10:20.780 Yes.

00:10:21.180 And especially when you have a new platform, and you're trying to get views, having a big

00:10:27.380 expose like this, where you're dishing out this juicy goss, is pretty profitable.

00:10:32.320 So, but I also don't want to shame potential victims of abuse.

00:10:38.520 Like, it's really, really, it's a tough conversation.

00:10:41.840 It's just confusing, because Playboy is obviously about objectifying women.

00:10:45.960 So, of course, you can expect that Hugh Hefner would objectify you and treat you as an object.

00:10:50.640 Like, I just, and he has ownership over you.

00:10:52.660 When someone pays for your entire life-

00:10:54.860 But not over your body, though.

00:10:56.300 But I think that that's-

00:10:57.680 I agree to an extent.

00:10:58.820 Like, he has the right to take photos of you, because that's what the job is.

00:11:02.520 He has the right to go out with you and hold your waist for photos.

00:11:05.580 But then, when they are saying they were forced to have orgies with him without condoms, that's

00:11:10.960 like- 0.82

00:11:11.380 Yeah, after going out clubbing, it was twice a week they had orgies. 0.98

00:11:14.000 That's disgusting. 0.97

00:11:14.520 It is. 0.66

00:11:15.060 But I think it's completely unsurprising.

00:11:16.880 It's not surprising, no.

00:11:18.160 But he doesn't have, like, he doesn't have the right to expect that of you.

00:11:21.720 No, but I think that they shouldn't be so naive. 0.99

00:11:23.680 They shouldn't be shocked that the old dirty man is an old dirty man. 0.76

00:11:26.620 Like, he's a million years old, and you guys are, what, like, in your early 20s, and you're 0.99

00:11:30.160 hot as hell?

00:11:30.800 Yeah. 0.94

00:11:30.880 Like, pretty sure he's a creep. 0.82

00:11:32.580 He's a creep, and you should have known that. 0.59

00:11:34.680 I mean, there's also other examples of him, about him having crocodile tears-

00:11:41.220 Yes, that's an interesting one. 0.86

00:11:42.800 To, like, manipulate them into having sex. 0.96

00:11:45.320 This article, Playboy Bunny, say Hugh Hefner fake cried for sex. 0.96

00:11:50.220 Like, okay, man. 0.81

00:11:51.480 That's so weird.

00:11:52.720 It's super weird.

00:11:53.040 But it's also, it's, so it's super weird and creepy and weird.

00:11:55.920 But it's also not the behavior of, like, a rapist.

00:11:58.860 No. 0.98

00:11:59.220 A rapist doesn't fake cry for sex. 0.99

00:12:01.060 Exactly. 0.99

00:12:01.780 Exactly.

00:12:02.820 Yeah.

00:12:02.980 It's just, like, I don't think anyone here is accusing him of rape, but it's, like, at

00:12:09.860 what point is manipulating women into having sex with you borderline rape?

00:12:16.060 Yeah, it's, I think it's a gray area. 0.94

00:12:19.520 It is.

00:12:20.220 Certainly.

00:12:20.820 And he also had a black book that he reportedly used to keep tabs on them.

00:12:24.880 Yeah.

00:12:25.360 So he'd keep track of when they collected their allowance.

00:12:28.160 Yeah, but I was reading that, and I was like, yeah, of course.

00:12:30.580 It's his money.

00:12:31.520 Well, he's old, too. 0.93

00:12:32.800 He doesn't want to get screwed over by these young, sharp women. 1.00

00:12:34.900 It's like, I gave you $1,000 last week. 0.74

00:12:36.580 I haven't given it to you this week.

00:12:37.800 Like, that's actually really smart banking.

00:12:39.100 You don't want to be taken advantage of.

00:12:40.200 But then it also went on to say it kept track of who slept with him and when.

00:12:44.260 Yeah, that's not great. 0.56

00:12:45.080 So that's kind of gross.

00:12:46.040 That's gross.

00:12:46.800 Yeah.

00:12:47.020 Because why?

00:12:48.360 Yeah.

00:12:48.520 Because why do you need to know that?

00:12:49.940 Because it's like, oh, Holly hasn't had sex with me in a week.

00:12:52.440 It's time.

00:12:54.000 Yeah, and apparently one of them, I think it was Holly, said that he would say something

00:12:58.080 like, oh, you've been on your period for three weeks.

00:13:00.180 Like, that's interesting.

00:13:01.000 And it's like, why is that interesting?

00:13:03.200 Because you expect to get in my pants?

00:13:05.520 Yes.

00:13:05.760 Like, it's not great.

00:13:07.720 No.

00:13:08.080 It's not great.

00:13:09.700 But again, he's not here to defend himself.

00:13:12.440 Yeah.

00:13:13.420 Yeah, and I mean, apparently last week, people obtained an open letter signed by hundreds

00:13:18.240 of former Playboy bunnies, Playmates, ex-girlfriends, and employees denouncing A&E's secrets of Playboy

00:13:22.920 series and the recent allegations made against Hefner.

00:13:25.740 So it's hard to know what's true.

00:13:27.580 It really is because Holly has a great opportunity to make a buck by spinning this story. 0.99

00:13:33.280 But at the same time, like, you don't want to minimize real abuse.

00:13:36.960 Exactly.

00:13:37.400 So it's like, so tough.

00:13:38.600 It's a tough one.

00:13:40.000 But I will, I just, it just occurred to me right now.

00:13:43.280 All, like this, this article, Playboy bunnies feared Hefner's revenge porn book, wanted to

00:13:47.500 burn it.

00:13:47.860 That's Madison and Marquette.

00:13:49.580 Like, that's Holly and, what's her name?

00:13:52.240 What's the other one's name?

00:13:53.380 Bridget.

00:13:53.760 Bridget.

00:13:54.160 That's Holly and Bridget.

00:13:55.040 Those are the same girls who say it was like having, it was disturbing having unprotected 0.79

00:14:00.000 sex with them. 0.99

00:14:00.440 Yeah, all these articles are them. 1.00

00:14:01.020 Those are the same girls who say they were fed to Hefner-like meat.

00:14:04.880 So it's like, it's not like, it's only two people.

00:14:07.720 It's not like the Nickelodeon story where it's like, oh, as time goes on, like more and

00:14:11.600 more of them are coming out and saying like, oh my God, that happened to me too.

00:14:14.180 It's like, it's really only the two of them and they recently launched a podcast.

00:14:18.200 Yeah.

00:14:19.080 It's, it's a little strange.

00:14:20.720 But then I also did a little more research and apparently there's another Playboy documentary

00:14:25.000 which claims that Hugh Hefner trafficked women in an underground sex system and he was

00:14:29.340 also in love with a male doctor.

00:14:31.280 Oh, geez.

00:14:32.280 Well, that's a twist.

00:14:33.420 So actually, sorry, this is the same documentary, but it's been claimed that he allegedly trafficked

00:14:38.020 women who hadn't made the cut into his elite Playboy bunny squad in an underground 0.98

00:14:41.780 sex system.

00:14:42.520 There were apparently clones of the Playboy mansion on a smaller scale and he would prey

00:14:47.640 on these women, manipulate or groom them, his friends would, sorry, which included some

00:14:52.120 of America's most powerful and wealthy men.

00:14:54.160 I wonder who they were.

00:14:55.140 I wonder if they know Epstein.

00:14:56.980 Also revealed was the allegation that Hugh Hefner was in love with his live-in doctor,

00:15:01.660 Mark Saginor, and his daughter confirmed that she believes that that's true.

00:15:06.560 So that is a twisty twist, you guys. 1.00

00:15:08.580 He's a homosexual who has, like, his own little bunny sex ring in his house with women. 1.00

00:15:14.260 He could be bi. 1.00

00:15:15.300 Yeah, sorry.

00:15:16.080 Don't put anyone in a box on this show.

00:15:18.280 But that's kind of weird.

00:15:20.200 That is super weird.

00:15:21.440 And apparently these women who went to these cloned mansions were told they could get a 1.00

00:15:26.800 modeling contract but were instead drugged, raped, and videotaped.

00:15:29.580 I want to know who these women are, though, like, who are they? 1.00

00:15:34.340 Maybe it's showcased on the show more, but I haven't seen too many articles about this.

00:15:39.520 Yeah.

00:15:40.480 But that's horrifying.

00:15:42.140 Yeah.

00:15:42.400 It just, a lot of these articles, like, the title is super grabby.

00:15:46.860 Yeah.

00:15:47.180 But then when you read it, it's like...

00:15:48.380 They all say the same thing.

00:15:49.140 They all kind of, exactly.

00:15:50.260 It's like this article's titled Secrets of Playboy Bombshells, Sex Rings, Kidnappings,

00:15:54.140 and FBI Investigations, and, like, you touched on the FBI investigation, kidnappings, but

00:16:00.600 I read the article.

00:16:01.640 Yeah.

00:16:02.240 And I didn't see...

00:16:03.660 I saw that he collected sex tapes on the women as collateral. 0.95

00:16:07.380 Gross. 0.98

00:16:08.040 Yeah, that's super gross. 0.69

00:16:08.400 But also, like, and I was...

00:16:10.460 I wrote this as, like, you have a ton of young people living in your house and you're elderly,

00:16:16.020 and you're going to have some cameras up.

00:16:17.640 Apparently he had cameras everywhere, and even, like, his former security guard says that

00:16:20.620 it wasn't just sexual.

00:16:21.920 Every place had microphones and cameras, and you had to be careful because you knew you

00:16:26.140 were being monitored.

00:16:26.960 That's not that weird.

00:16:28.840 Not really, especially when you have a bunch of randos living in your house.

00:16:31.880 Exactly.

00:16:32.560 Right?

00:16:32.980 But then it's like, okay, kidnappings?

00:16:36.100 Well, but then...

00:16:36.640 That's strange, but I couldn't actually find specifics.

00:16:39.080 But it's also not surprising, though, because it's like the porn industry, as we've talked

00:16:43.160 about before, has great ties to human trafficking and sexually exploiting and abusing women.

00:16:48.820 So why are we surprised that this playboy mogul has, if it's true, assuming it's true, allegedly

00:16:55.360 it's true, would do this to women?

00:16:58.740 He clearly doesn't...

00:17:00.180 I mean, I don't know.

00:17:01.100 You can't expect anyone in the porn industry to be upstanding.

00:17:04.640 Okay?

00:17:05.220 That's a good point.

00:17:06.040 It's not the most moral industry in the world.

00:17:08.540 In fact, it's one of the most evil industries in the world.

00:17:12.040 Slary Moyes.

00:17:12.900 Yeah, and like, as a woman, if you want to be respected, like, don't become a playboy 0.99

00:17:17.240 model.

00:17:18.680 Yeah.

00:17:19.600 Maybe don't take off your clothes for money.

00:17:21.420 Is that victim blaming?

00:17:22.680 I don't think so.

00:17:23.480 I don't think so either.

00:17:24.640 And again, we stress, we do any act of abuse, like any kind of abuse, we condemn that.

00:17:31.600 I don't want any woman to be harmed by a creepy old man.

00:17:34.540 And if you have an exit, take it.

00:17:36.500 And if you don't, like, reach out for help.

00:17:37.980 Like, these are, there are women who literally are being kidnapped and held against their 0.96

00:17:42.500 will.

00:17:43.120 And trafficked.

00:17:43.860 Like, that's, that is a whole different situation. 0.92

00:17:47.060 And that's disgusting.

00:17:48.100 And like, literally need, they need to be rescued.

00:17:50.360 Yeah.

00:17:51.120 And there are allegations of that here.

00:17:53.660 But there's really no evidence that he was kidnapping women.

00:17:58.460 That I can see from these articles.

00:18:00.760 It's hard.

00:18:01.200 It's really hard to say.

00:18:02.300 I think that it involves a lot more time and thorough investigation on our part to be

00:18:07.740 able to kind of dig into that more.

00:18:09.780 But I also, to play the, not really the devil's advocate, but just to flip it a little, like

00:18:15.520 these women who came out in support of him that signed that letter to people, do you think,

00:18:20.300 do you also wonder if maybe there's a bit of Stockholm syndrome going on here?

00:18:23.600 Like, maybe.

00:18:24.140 Well, that's what, that's what Holly Madison said.

00:18:25.760 She thought she had Stockholm syndrome.

00:18:27.280 Like, and I feel like that kind of makes sense because you live in this strange bubble

00:18:30.440 where you're not really allowed to leave.

00:18:31.500 Like, she was forced to quit her waitressing job or something because he wanted her to spend

00:18:35.860 more time at the house or whatever.

00:18:36.880 And like, I'm sure, and like, apparently he like monitored like her makeup and like what

00:18:40.700 colored lipstick she was wearing.

00:18:41.820 And he got mad at her when she cut her hair.

00:18:43.100 And I was like, those are all telltale signs of abuse, like an abusive relationship.

00:18:48.080 Yeah.

00:18:48.560 Like a control freak.

00:18:49.440 Yes, exactly.

00:18:50.500 So it is, you're right.

00:18:51.520 It's a good point.

00:18:52.120 It's not out of the realm of possibility that these women who are like supporting him

00:18:56.560 now have Stockholm syndrome.

00:18:58.440 Yeah.

00:18:58.680 Um, I just want to read this quote from this eOnline article about, um, the sex tapes,

00:19:04.560 the alleged sex tapes.

00:19:05.500 So, um, here's the quote.

00:19:08.300 They were told in the case of Hefner's death, his executive secretary, Mary O'Connor, was

00:19:13.100 instructed to destroy all sex tapes.

00:19:15.680 Former executive assistant, Lisa Loving Barrett said that she was told that they were put in

00:19:19.480 a barrel and thrown out to sea.

00:19:21.140 Can you imagine being stranded on a desert island and you see a barrel coming your way?

00:19:27.440 You're like, food, water. 0.99

00:19:29.120 It's just a bunch of tits. 1.00

00:19:29.980 It's just a bunch of porn with an old man. 1.00

00:19:32.360 Oh, that's not ideal. 0.98

00:19:36.520 Anyways, on that light note.

00:19:39.340 No.

00:19:39.700 But also Kate Moss.

00:19:41.020 Yes.

00:19:41.380 So Kate Moss also recently came out and said that there was nothing seedy or gross taking

00:19:48.380 place at the Playboy Mansion.

00:19:49.560 And, I mean, she didn't live there, though.

00:19:52.540 She didn't live there.

00:19:53.340 Yeah.

00:19:53.560 She went there for a shoot. 0.96

00:19:54.880 Like, of course, you know, it reminds me of, like, you know those episodes where you

00:19:57.920 see, like, they drop grandma and grandpa off at the old folks' home and then the old

00:20:01.180 folks' home is, like, really gritty.

00:20:02.820 Yeah.

00:20:03.040 And then, like, the family...

00:20:04.060 My high school did that.

00:20:04.700 They brought out the nice china and, like, covered all the walls, like, the holes in the

00:20:07.600 walls of posters.

00:20:07.820 But then as soon as everyone leaves, it's, like, the grave, the, like, bats come out and stuff

00:20:12.420 like that.

00:20:12.800 That could be what it's like there.

00:20:14.320 I mean, who knows?

00:20:15.820 And she was also talent.

00:20:17.480 Like, she was posing on the covers.

00:20:19.560 So, she's going to be treated like a queen.

00:20:21.580 She was already famous at this point.

00:20:23.440 Right.

00:20:23.760 So...

00:20:24.200 It's hard to say.

00:20:25.140 Yeah, exactly.

00:20:25.880 That's exactly what it wrote.

00:20:26.780 She never lived there.

00:20:27.540 And she was famous. 0.54

00:20:28.720 So, he's not going to, like, force her to have sex with him. 0.71

00:20:32.600 No.

00:20:33.120 But she also said it was, like, really chill family vibes.

00:20:35.460 That's what she said.

00:20:36.160 Yeah.

00:20:36.540 But, yeah, it could be exactly like that Adam Sandler movie.

00:20:39.820 Right.

00:20:40.540 We're going to take care of your grandma.

00:20:42.240 We're going to take care of grandma.

00:20:43.140 And then she says, my finger's hurt.

00:20:44.340 And he's like, no, this is going to hurt.

00:20:45.700 You're back.

00:20:46.760 Because you just pulled landscaping duty.

00:20:49.080 Uh-oh.

00:20:49.740 Sounds like prison.

00:20:50.900 Yeah.

00:20:51.600 So, is the Playboy Mansion prison?

00:20:53.800 Yeah.

00:20:53.940 Hard to say.

00:20:54.960 Especially when it seems like just Holly Madison was able to leave whenever she wanted.

00:20:59.940 Yeah.

00:21:00.120 Is what it seems like to me.

00:21:01.480 Yeah.

00:21:01.800 But it is weird that they were getting $1,000 a week.

00:21:06.060 Like, is that enough?

00:21:06.620 Like, is that enough to save up for and live off of and then move out?

00:21:10.300 Not really.

00:21:10.580 Maybe in the early 2000s.

00:21:12.320 But maybe not.

00:21:13.000 You're right.

00:21:13.560 It's not a lot of money hills.

00:21:15.480 But you have no expenses.

00:21:17.220 Yeah, but that's my point.

00:21:18.120 Like, he doesn't want you to move out.

00:21:19.340 Exactly.

00:21:19.780 Yeah.

00:21:20.140 Exactly.

00:21:20.480 That's my point.

00:21:21.040 So, it's like he's giving them just enough money so that they stay there.

00:21:24.980 Because they're like, oh, I'm getting money.

00:21:26.300 But it's, like, not a salary.

00:21:27.980 It's not big enough to save up for and be like, okay, well, I don't want to be treated

00:21:31.340 like this anymore.

00:21:31.980 I'm going to go get my own apartment.

00:21:33.060 It's like, with what money?

00:21:34.400 You've got $1,000 a week.

00:21:36.500 Yeah.

00:21:37.180 That's true.

00:21:37.820 It's not that much money.

00:21:39.120 I mean, it's more than our money.

00:21:42.020 Excuse me.

00:21:42.760 But they had to do some stuff for it that I am not willing to do.

00:21:45.540 No, no, no.

00:21:46.140 So, you know, God bless.

00:21:47.560 God bless.

00:21:48.340 Yeah.

00:21:49.060 No, it's true.

00:21:49.880 And then, yeah, and just I think maybe the Stockholm Syndrome thing, we should unpack that,

00:21:54.100 like, a little more.

00:21:55.060 Because, I don't know, maybe he was kind of grooming them in a way, you know?

00:21:59.940 And this, we love talking about grooming on the show.

00:22:02.480 We love talking about grooming.

00:22:03.520 Grooming!

00:22:03.920 Because we're not supposed to.

00:22:05.180 We're not, we're bad.

00:22:06.260 We're not supposed to talk about it.

00:22:07.740 Yeah.

00:22:08.080 But, I mean, there is a case to be made that he was manipulating these women.

00:22:13.040 Because they were so young.

00:22:13.720 Exactly.

00:22:14.380 And when you're wide-eyed and bushy-tailed, like, you move to L.A.

00:22:18.500 and you just want to be famous and you want to be rich and you want to live the luxy life.

00:22:22.500 Even if this old freak comes along and offers you those things.

00:22:26.180 He's like, you're so beautiful, young lady.

00:22:27.880 Let me touch your skin.

00:22:29.420 So elastic.

00:22:30.400 Exactly. 0.97

00:22:30.980 Why don't I buy you a pair of breasts? 1.00

00:22:32.600 Is Hugh here? 1.00

00:22:34.900 Creepy.

00:22:35.600 But, yeah, exactly.

00:22:36.520 Like, I don't know.

00:22:37.680 Maybe it's hard to turn that down.

00:22:39.000 I just think, like, maybe have a bit more respect for yourself.

00:22:42.280 Like, maybe you could have made it on your own.

00:22:45.180 Yeah.

00:22:45.580 You know?

00:22:45.740 Maybe you could have, like, done another job.

00:22:47.660 Yeah, like, you could, you modeled naked, maybe model the clothes on.

00:22:51.240 Yeah, you're all beautiful.

00:22:52.600 Yeah.

00:22:53.100 You're all pretty.

00:22:53.820 Even if it's just in, like, a catalog.

00:22:55.960 Like, it's, that's work.

00:22:57.120 Yeah.

00:22:57.540 Sears had great models in it back in the day.

00:23:00.280 I'm not attractive enough for that.

00:23:02.040 No, I laughed right in my face when I tried.

00:23:04.840 I would take a Sears modeling catalog.

00:23:06.940 Me too.

00:23:07.220 Sears?

00:23:08.020 Sears?

00:23:08.700 Please?

00:23:09.680 Christmas one?

00:23:10.380 See hers.

00:23:11.580 Right here.

00:23:13.200 Anyway.

00:23:13.640 We will do a Christmas shoot.

00:23:16.880 We will be.

00:23:17.640 I will play Santa.

00:23:18.520 Yes. 0.91

00:23:18.640 Because I will be friggin' huge then. 0.88

00:23:19.900 She's gonna be Santa. 0.84

00:23:21.160 And I will be Rudolph.

00:23:22.440 You'll be my elf.

00:23:23.740 Oh.

00:23:24.480 Okay, we're getting off topic here.

00:23:25.840 Yeah.

00:23:26.040 Anything else you want to address here?

00:23:27.500 Grooming!

00:23:28.060 Let's just talk a little bit about grooming.

00:23:28.620 Let's just talk about grooming specifically.

00:23:30.100 Because it's so, like you just said, it's so poignant in this conversation specifically

00:23:35.200 because here's an old man inviting these young women into his home and then allegedly

00:23:39.200 engaging in sex with them that they didn't want to have. 1.00

00:23:42.760 Crazy, sick orgies. 1.00

00:23:44.240 Yeah. 0.99

00:23:45.520 So, there's this other article.

00:23:48.040 Mm-hmm.

00:23:48.880 Not about Hugh Huffman.

00:23:50.120 No.

00:23:50.640 From Daily Mail.

00:23:51.880 So, it says, a woman who was groomed by her married high school teacher when she was

00:23:55.740 just 16 reveals tactics he used to lure her into a relationship in a stark warning to

00:24:00.200 other women. 1.00

00:24:01.120 Now, I read the entire article and they don't list those tactics.

00:24:05.180 Yeah.

00:24:05.580 Yeah.

00:24:05.880 Because it's coming out in her documentary called Keep This Between Us.

00:24:09.480 I did Google.

00:24:11.040 Did you?

00:24:11.660 The tactics.

00:24:12.320 How you can spot, not necessarily, yes.

00:24:14.840 Not necessarily.

00:24:15.660 The warning signs.

00:24:16.820 Perfect.

00:24:17.120 Let's go through them.

00:24:17.920 All right, guys.

00:24:18.600 So, victim selection.

00:24:20.160 Abusers often observe possible victims and select them based on ease of access.

00:24:23.920 So, if this person is vulnerable in any way, i.e. a child.

00:24:27.380 Well, pretty vulnerable.

00:24:28.100 Or a woman without a lot of money. 1.00

00:24:30.080 Yeah.

00:24:30.340 Or like family support.

00:24:31.680 Exactly.

00:24:32.220 Or a child who looks up to her teacher.

00:24:34.220 Because as we've talked about countless times on the show, children aim to please.

00:24:37.240 Yes.

00:24:37.480 Gaining access and isolating the victim.

00:24:39.920 So, that actually is one thing this teacher did.

00:24:41.860 He invited all the kids over for a movie night, which is really weird.

00:24:46.140 Didn't know teachers were allowed to do that.

00:24:47.660 Yeah.

00:24:47.880 And when the other kids left and his wife was out of the room, he leaned in and kissed

00:24:51.720 her.

00:24:52.200 Also something Hugh Hefner did.

00:24:53.740 Right.

00:24:54.060 Because he would bring them into his house and make them live.

00:24:57.360 Like, not make them, but like, invite them to live there and like, kind of not let them 0.68

00:25:00.660 do what, like, quit their other waitressing jobs and police how they acted and who they

00:25:04.500 were around.

00:25:05.600 Right.

00:25:06.040 Interesting.

00:25:06.160 Yeah.

00:25:06.240 He totally isolated them from the rest of the world.

00:25:08.880 Yeah.

00:25:09.800 Trust development and keeping secrets.

00:25:11.780 So, abusers attempt to gain trust of a potential victim through gifts, attention sharing secrets,

00:25:16.100 which is something we've talked about in the wake of the don't say gay bill.

00:25:20.520 Um, and other means to make them feel that they have a caring relationship and to train

00:25:24.720 them to keep the relationship secret.

00:25:26.340 Yeah.

00:25:26.680 Oh, yeah.

00:25:27.220 It's like shaming a little bit.

00:25:28.320 It's like, sort of like, you've already done something bad, so we shouldn't tell anyone

00:25:31.220 what we've done.

00:25:31.960 We've done together.

00:25:33.000 Or it's like our special little secret no one needs to know, you know?

00:25:36.160 And it's like, it kind of gives you, it makes you feel like you have power over people

00:25:39.740 because you're like, I'm special, but I, I can't tell anyone because it's too special

00:25:43.700 kind of a thing.

00:25:44.780 Gross.

00:25:45.560 Um, desensitization, desensitization to touch and discussion of sexual topics.

00:25:50.120 So they'll often start to touch a victim in ways that appear harmless, such as hugging,

00:25:54.480 wrestling, and tickling.

00:25:55.400 And then they later escalate, escalate it to increasingly more sexual contact. 0.99

00:25:59.160 Oh, you guys are sick. 1.00

00:26:00.460 Really gross. 0.99

00:26:01.040 I don't even want to finish reading that. 0.95

00:26:02.660 Um, we also show them pornography.

00:26:04.820 Interesting.

00:26:05.940 Well, that's also something you have rooted because they were in it.

00:26:09.120 Yeah.

00:26:09.500 Yeah.

00:26:09.760 And there's pornography all over the place. 0.95

00:26:11.840 He probably just normalized like, oh, we're getting naked. 0.98

00:26:14.280 We're getting, we're having a naked swimming party.

00:26:15.920 Oh, we're having a naked dinner party.

00:26:17.220 And to that, uh, one of the blackmailing tactics he'd use is when after a night of 0.59

00:26:21.100 partying, the girls would kind of get together and he'd take photos of them in sexual positions. 0.89

00:26:25.440 And like topless and super hammered. 0.92

00:26:27.360 And he would keep these photos.

00:26:28.340 And apparently he would hand those photos out.

00:26:29.860 Yeah.

00:26:30.200 To the other bunnies.

00:26:31.300 Like business cards.

00:26:31.700 Yeah.

00:26:32.060 And kept a scrapbook of them.

00:26:34.000 That's, you know, my scrapbook looked a lot different, Hugh.

00:26:37.360 Attempt by abusers to make their behavior seem natural.

00:26:39.800 So to avoid raising suspicions for teens who may be closer to age to the abuser, it can

00:26:44.020 be particularly hard to recognize tactics using grooming.

00:26:47.500 So be alert for signs that your teen has a relationship with an adult that includes

00:26:50.660 secrecy, undue influence or control, uh, or pushes personal boundaries.

00:26:55.680 Those are good.

00:26:56.940 Yeah.

00:26:57.700 Those are really good.

00:26:58.360 And it reminds me of Pretty Little Liars.

00:27:01.040 I never saw that.

00:27:01.900 Okay.

00:27:02.160 So she has a relationship.

00:27:03.900 One of the characters, Aria, with her teacher.

00:27:05.880 I did see that.

00:27:06.480 Yeah.

00:27:06.600 And they make it seem-

00:27:07.740 No, I saw Big Little Lies.

00:27:08.680 Never mind.

00:27:08.960 Continue.

00:27:09.400 Well, I'm sure it's similar.

00:27:10.420 But they make it seem so sexy and they normalize it and they romanticize it.

00:27:15.640 And it's like, this is super wrong.

00:27:17.220 Like, even though he's only like 22 or whatever, because he's fresh out of school.

00:27:20.700 No, it's still wrong.

00:27:21.100 Yeah, exactly.

00:27:21.680 Because she's, her frontal lobe is not developed yet.

00:27:24.900 She can't consent to any of this stuff because she's still like a growing baby. 0.85

00:27:28.960 Like she's a child.

00:27:29.960 Like she doesn't understand the implications.

00:27:31.980 And so any adult that goes in and tries to, you know, lure a kid.

00:27:36.100 And it's like, you don't have adults of your own that you can get with.

00:27:39.120 Exactly. 1.00

00:27:39.460 How pathetic are you? 1.00

00:27:40.640 And, but the, like Hollywood normalizes this. 1.00

00:27:43.860 They make it seem sexy and cool.

00:27:45.820 And I think it's super wrong.

00:27:47.820 It's wrong.

00:27:48.340 It's super wrong.

00:27:49.440 It's super wrong.

00:27:50.680 Yeah.

00:27:50.880 And then of course there's online grooming, which often involves adults creating fake

00:27:55.580 profiles and posing as children or teens, which I think we see that a lot.

00:27:59.540 Yeah, we've all seemed to catch a predator.

00:28:00.800 Well, right.

00:28:01.660 And I think that really is something that's prevalent probably in the transgender, like 0.97

00:28:06.040 Tumblr thing.

00:28:07.300 Like just these like adults encouraging kids and comforting them and making them feel normal.

00:28:14.200 It's kind of creepy.

00:28:15.340 It's super creepy.

00:28:16.480 Creepy guys.

00:28:16.940 I don't like it.

00:28:17.540 It's great though.

00:28:18.720 Yeah.

00:28:19.000 Can we play two minutes of this Crowder video?

00:28:21.100 Oh yes.

00:28:21.640 Okay.

00:28:21.840 This is a video from Steven Crowder and his team went undercover at a drag show and it

00:28:27.540 came out yesterday.

00:28:28.600 It's about a 15 minute video, but we're just going to play two minutes of it right from

00:28:32.160 the middle because I think it, does it involve grooming?

00:28:35.860 It does.

00:28:36.640 Oh yes.

00:28:37.380 Well then great.

00:28:38.100 It's on, it's on point.

00:28:39.260 Okay.

00:28:39.840 Let us play.

00:28:40.420 Perfect.

00:28:41.420 Should not be seeing.

00:28:42.680 I think they just don't know the full story because this is not about, this is not about

00:28:46.520 children.

00:28:46.940 This is not about opening their eyes to this and making them see this.

00:28:49.840 It's about support for his family.

00:28:52.060 Really?

00:28:53.020 Is that really what's happening inside though?

00:28:55.880 And I teach middle school so it's important for my kids to know.

00:28:59.600 No, I love you because tomorrow you love him and then you love her and you're going to

00:29:03.140 love a tree the next day.

00:29:04.640 We brought our kids.

00:29:05.760 We're like, this is something for them to see.

00:29:07.700 Yep.

00:29:08.160 Yep.

00:29:08.920 How old are your kids?

00:29:10.500 11 and 8.

00:29:11.300 Oh my God.

00:29:12.040 I fought in the army for 23 years, 60 points, so that y'all can do what you do and I can

00:29:15.440 do, but don't involve children is all I'm saying.

00:29:17.420 Just keep the children out of it.

00:29:18.680 Are there children in there?

00:29:20.020 I haven't been in there.

00:29:21.180 I do not think so.

00:29:26.740 If there are, they're with their families and they're just enjoying a great time.

00:29:31.060 Clearly it's fun for the whole family approved for all ages.

00:29:52.360 Are there children inside?

00:29:53.580 Yeah, there's three or four of them, but these girls are all fully closed. 1.00

00:29:57.160 This is a PG performance.

00:29:58.340 Like it's for, it's family friendly.

00:30:02.140 Well, I mean, I think it's just a lifestyle. 0.99

00:30:04.420 Well, crap. 0.99

00:30:05.540 It's almost as if sexualization is the entire goal. 0.99

00:30:08.760 Again, good, wholesome, family friendly fun.

00:30:12.060 Here's what Nida Montana tweeted out just two days after the event.

00:30:15.320 Okay.

00:30:15.540 Oh, that poor child who was afraid.

00:30:18.340 Yeah.

00:30:18.600 There was that one.

00:30:19.080 Physically afraid.

00:30:19.640 Physically afraid to go in and her mom was like pushing her in.

00:30:22.440 I really liked this video because they had the guy on the street who was talking to protesters

00:30:25.940 and counter protesters.

00:30:27.120 And then there was hidden cameras inside the actual show who were just like remaining silent.

00:30:30.480 They really captured it all.

00:30:31.200 They really captured the whole thing.

00:30:32.720 And the, like that one girl at the beginning is like, oh, I don't think there's children in there.

00:30:35.920 And there's like, oh, if there is, they're with their family.

00:30:38.620 It's like, yes, they are with their families.

00:30:40.240 Does that make it okay? 0.79

00:30:41.220 Is it okay if you're with your family watching porn together?

00:30:44.180 No. 0.53

00:30:44.380 Don't think so.

00:30:44.900 Not okay.

00:30:45.400 And again, I've said this a million times.

00:30:46.980 I love drag.

00:30:47.880 I watch drag.

00:30:48.960 I am an adult though.

00:30:50.380 And it's highly sexual.

00:30:51.840 And just because.

00:30:52.340 And drag queens admit that. 1.00

00:30:53.520 Yes.

00:30:54.020 Many have come out in this season of time where drag queens are a thing. 1.00

00:30:59.700 Yeah.

00:30:59.840 A big topic of discussion.

00:31:00.960 And they've said, hey, don't bring your kids.

00:31:03.080 Yeah.

00:31:03.720 It shouldn't be for children.

00:31:05.520 Like a lot of it, it's a lot of sexual innuendo.

00:31:08.500 There's nothing inherently sexual about a man dressing like a woman.

00:31:11.960 Like one of the women in this video, like this one actually. 0.90

00:31:16.100 You can't see it, but I can see it.

00:31:18.240 But she's saying like, oh, like what about Mrs. Doubtfire?

00:31:21.480 Like everyone loved that.

00:31:22.720 Like, I'm sorry.

00:31:24.520 Are you actually relating this drag queen doing death drops who's wearing a thong? 0.99

00:31:30.200 To Robin Williams in a wig.

00:31:33.720 Who's an actor.

00:31:34.160 Acting like an old woman. 0.96

00:31:35.340 And he's not being sexual in any way.

00:31:37.240 In any way.

00:31:37.920 Nothing sexual about that show.

00:31:40.280 No.

00:31:40.900 So.

00:31:41.160 So anyways, it's just, it's.

00:31:43.720 Grasping at straws.

00:31:44.620 It is.

00:31:45.360 And the reason I wanted to play it in this episode is just because like they, I don't believe

00:31:50.060 that the drag queens dancing at these shows think that they're grooming or are actively,

00:31:55.480 like, I would guess like most of them are not actively trying to groom children, but it's

00:32:00.640 happening.

00:32:01.520 Yeah.

00:32:01.620 It's an unfortunate accident.

00:32:03.180 I'm going to just give them the benefit of the doubt.

00:32:05.280 It's an accidental.

00:32:06.040 I'm not going to, but I understand.

00:32:08.240 I'm hoping it's an accidental cause of what they're doing.

00:32:10.980 And, and it's like, I think we should accept drag queens as human beings.

00:32:15.740 We shouldn't bully people who want to do drag as an art form or dress like women.

00:32:19.960 But when you take like the pendulum has swung so far from being like, oh, let's not.

00:32:23.860 I, I isolate and bully these people to now like, well, it's a family thing and bring your

00:32:29.280 kids.

00:32:29.500 It's like, yeah, we took that too far.

00:32:31.240 Now it's gross.

00:32:32.140 And now you're grooming even accidentally.

00:32:34.040 Well, and how much further is it going to go?

00:32:35.920 We're blurring the line too much.

00:32:37.080 Right.

00:32:37.300 And we talked about this in the, our episode about Nickelodeon.

00:32:40.580 And it's like, we see parents pushing their kids to impress this adult, you know, Dan

00:32:45.520 Schneider.

00:32:45.940 And it's like forcing your kids into these kinds of things is, it's inappropriate.

00:32:50.680 It's inappropriate.

00:32:51.300 And as parents, you're supposed to protect your children.

00:32:53.760 And I'm not a parent yet.

00:32:54.940 I understand that, but I do understand that protecting children.

00:32:59.080 It's kind of, it should just be going without saying.

00:33:01.740 Like, I don't think I should, we shouldn't even need to talk about this.

00:33:04.420 Frankly, like it's the way it is.

00:33:06.760 We've, we've gone too far. 0.95

00:33:07.940 Like people used to beat up gays in the locker room. 0.90

00:33:10.860 Not good. 0.95

00:33:11.720 And now this bad.

00:33:12.760 Yeah.

00:33:13.320 That we need to go back to a happy middle ground where drag queens could do the art of 1.00

00:33:17.180 drag at nightclubs.

00:33:19.300 Yeah.

00:33:19.520 And at this, this was hosted, this crowd of video was hosted at a distillery.

00:33:22.960 That's not a place that you bring children. 1.00

00:33:24.580 No.

00:33:25.020 To a distillery.

00:33:26.220 Alcohol.

00:33:26.740 Yes, exactly.

00:33:27.480 Yeah.

00:33:27.620 Where people are getting hammered in the middle of the day.

00:33:30.100 Sounds fun though.

00:33:30.760 And drag queens are, you're putting money down there out, like in their underwear. 1.00

00:33:34.180 Yes, they're wearing tights because they have to hide the padding that makes them give them 0.96

00:33:37.840 big fake butts. 1.00

00:33:38.600 Like, what is that all about? 0.99

00:33:39.680 First of all, the big fake butts. 0.98

00:33:40.720 And then second of all, where is the, the dollar bills is like a stripper thing. 0.99

00:33:44.700 No, it's, there's, it's completely sexual.

00:33:47.160 Everything about a drag show is sexual. 0.94

00:33:49.060 Okay.

00:33:49.400 That's fine.

00:33:50.400 Do what you're going to do.

00:33:51.580 Do what you want to do. 0.82

00:33:52.440 But don't bring your dang kids. 0.99

00:33:53.940 And drag queens. 1.00

00:33:54.680 If you see a kid in the fricking audience, they get out. 0.96

00:33:57.180 Yeah. 0.92

00:33:57.340 Like kick them out.

00:33:57.960 Don't let them put dollar bills down your G-string.

00:34:00.300 And I would ask them to leave, frankly.

00:34:02.320 Yeah.

00:34:02.580 Like, I actually think that's the honorable thing to do.

00:34:04.800 That would be so respectful and based.

00:34:05.620 Yeah. 1.00

00:34:05.820 And punch their parents in the head on the way out. 1.00

00:34:07.720 No, I'm just kidding. 0.99

00:34:08.260 No violence.

00:34:08.740 No violence.

00:34:09.360 No violence.

00:34:09.880 But you know what I mean?

00:34:10.740 With your words.

00:34:11.420 With your words. 0.96

00:34:12.020 Punch them with the truth. 0.90

00:34:13.320 Yeah. 0.57

00:34:13.820 I think that would be great to see.

00:34:15.300 That'd be great. 1.00

00:34:15.400 Like calling these dumb parents out for their crap. 1.00

00:34:17.700 Yeah. 1.00

00:34:17.720 Like, why did you bring your child to the science centers down the street?

00:34:20.540 Yeah.

00:34:20.720 The aquarium is open.

00:34:21.660 And it's like, I understand, like, there's so much pressure to be deemed inclusive, but

00:34:26.620 it's like, you're so concerned about how people view you that you're willing to force

00:34:31.040 your kids into something that's going to screw them up.

00:34:33.380 Like, it's not healthy for kids to be exposed to these kinds of things.

00:34:36.500 Do you want them dressing up in sparkly thongs and dancing and doing death drops and getting 0.52

00:34:39.800 dollar bills shoved in their underwear when they go to school on Monday?

00:34:42.300 Like, no.

00:34:43.020 Right.

00:34:43.180 And it's not even that, but just being exposed to any sort of explicit sexual behavior or performance.

00:34:48.200 Hetero or non-hetero.

00:34:49.040 Yeah.

00:34:49.160 It doesn't matter.

00:34:49.880 It's wrong.

00:34:50.500 Kids should not be watching anything that involves sex.

00:34:52.820 Sorry.

00:34:53.260 Full stop.

00:34:54.060 Full stop.

00:34:54.660 Sorry.

00:34:54.960 Call me a bigot.

00:34:55.660 But parents, you shouldn't care what people think.

00:34:57.540 Be a bigot. 0.98

00:34:58.420 Who the hell cares? 0.98

00:34:59.460 Yeah.

00:34:59.680 Your job is to protect your child and to raise them and to shield them from the evils

00:35:05.440 of the world.

00:35:05.920 There are so many of them.

00:35:07.380 There are so many of them.

00:35:08.660 You're...

00:35:09.100 Don't willingly send them...

00:35:10.240 Yeah, don't...

00:35:11.040 Yeah, exactly.

00:35:12.160 ...into the fire pit.

00:35:13.160 Like, here are some evils of the world.

00:35:14.500 Yeah.

00:35:14.680 Like, here you go.

00:35:15.340 Have fun, Jill.

00:35:16.800 Like, don't name your kid Jill.

00:35:18.660 Wrong.

00:35:18.880 If you're listening, Jill, I'm sorry.

00:35:20.500 It's a great name.

00:35:21.020 We're so sorry.

00:35:21.880 We're sorry.

00:35:22.660 Yes.

00:35:23.660 Okay.

00:35:24.280 Yeah.

00:35:24.680 Is that the shirt?

00:35:27.580 We're taking it back down.
