Rebel News Podcast - REBEL ROUNDUP ｜ Poilievre's carbon tax plan, Carney in Europe, McGregor's mass migration warning

00:00:00.000 Hopefully you're having a good time with this podcast, but I guarantee a better time would be coming to Alaska with me, Drea Humphrey, and my other Rebel colleagues.

00:00:11.340 You've got to find out more at our special website, rebelnewscruise.com, but it's taking place June 18th to June 25th, a vacation trip of a lifetime.

00:00:24.240 Again, that's rebelnewscruise.com.

00:00:26.600 I'll see you there.

00:00:30.000 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.

00:00:54.020 Sorry about that false start.

00:00:55.300 You have tuned into the Rebel News live stream on this, a Monday, March 17th, 2025.

00:01:03.020 Hey, folks, I'm David Menzies, and my co-host, well, let me tell you a bit about my co-host.

00:01:08.800 Do you know, folks, today is St. Patrick's Day?

00:01:11.940 And my co-host was going to wear green, except green is now a D-base color, thanks to, well, the Green Party and Elizabeth May.

00:01:24.100 She is the She-Devil with a sword. 1.00

00:01:25.860 She is the Khaleesi of Northern Alberta. 0.97

00:01:29.200 She is the sensational Sheila Gunn-Reed.

00:01:32.180 How you doing, you un-greened Sheila?

00:01:36.400 Do you know what?

00:01:37.140 I love the color green.

00:01:38.920 I do.

00:01:40.340 But since I worked in front of a green screen for, like, nine years before I put this wall behind me,

00:01:46.160 I almost have no green clothes because I can never wear them.

00:01:49.200 So, I was going through my stuff, and I'm like, I don't really have anything green.

00:01:55.320 But, apparently, like, if you go on that, like, what day is today, nationaltoday.com,

00:02:01.820 they ranked St. Patrick's Day way down the list.

00:02:07.340 What?

00:02:07.500 I don't know if you can bring that up.

00:02:09.320 It's nationaltoday.com.

00:02:11.020 It's quite weird.

00:02:14.040 If you go to the landing page, did they update it on me?

00:02:18.700 No.

00:02:19.900 Okay.

00:02:20.420 If you go to the landing page, when it's like, what day is today?

00:02:24.640 Olivia, can you bring that up?

00:02:25.860 Sorry to put you on the spot.

00:02:27.840 What day is today?

00:02:30.800 It's March 7th.

00:02:32.380 Go down.

00:02:36.640 Tomorrow appears to be Awkward Moments Day.

00:02:39.040 I think I covered that off in the beginning.

00:02:40.920 Okay.

00:02:41.280 So, on my viewing of this, it goes, National Act Happy Day, Benito Juarez Day,

00:02:48.500 Camp Fire Girls Day, Dr. Patient Trust Day.

00:02:52.600 I believe that was broken during COVID.

00:02:55.940 Evacuation Day.

00:02:57.140 Evacuation Day in Boston.

00:02:58.780 This is my favorite.

00:03:00.320 National Corned Beef and Cabbage Day.

00:03:01.920 Why do you, why?

00:03:03.520 Why?

00:03:04.060 Why Corned Beef and Cabbage?

00:03:05.440 Is that an Irish cuisine?

00:03:08.900 I believe so.

00:03:10.060 Then we go down, Ramon Magsay Day, some sort of Filipino politician.

00:03:15.940 St. Gertrude of Neville Day, Sheik Mujindaraman Birthday, Welderly Day. 0.98

00:03:22.840 Finally, we get to St. Patrick's Day.

00:03:26.400 I love Aidan's Birthday, and then we get into the birthday.

00:03:29.820 So, the last thing they list is St. Patrick's Day, even though it's like one of the most widely

00:03:35.260 celebrated holidays in the world.

00:03:38.560 There's parades all around the world because of it, and they don't, I guess the problem

00:03:45.740 is it might accidentally, you might accidentally have to explain that it's a Catholic holiday,

00:03:49.340 that St. Patrick brought Christianity to the British Isles, and he was actually born in

00:03:55.420 Scotland.

00:03:56.120 People don't know that either, but anyway.

00:03:57.660 You know, that's amazing, Sheila, because that was where I would, you know, base my thesis

00:04:03.700 on this whole sainty business.

00:04:06.140 But you mentioned there's a St. Gertrude?

00:04:09.120 That got higher billing.

00:04:11.880 You know, that's really weird.

00:04:13.540 I mean, I'm kind of like that ending episode speech of Captain Kirk and Who Mourns for Adonis

00:04:19.700 when he talked about the ancient Greeks, and they gave us so much.

00:04:22.460 And I think of the Irish, how they've given us so much, the potato, and Lucky Charms, and

00:04:29.440 the Titanic.

00:04:30.820 Lucky Charms, yes.

00:04:31.580 Famous cuisine, the Lucky Charms.

00:04:33.720 I guess they haven't given us all that much, really, but they're usually really nice people.

00:04:39.100 Excuse you, Conor McGregor.

00:04:40.540 They gave us Conor McGregor, and we'll sure get to that in a second.

00:04:43.520 Absolutely.

00:04:43.920 But let's tell everybody what we're doing today.

00:04:45.600 Please.

00:04:45.740 We just literally had a meeting like eight minutes ago where I'm like, oh, we've got to stay

00:04:49.100 on track.

00:04:49.740 We've got to get to everything.

00:04:50.660 Then I take us on this big side hustle.

00:04:54.000 Okay.

00:04:55.140 We should tell everybody what we're doing.

00:04:56.900 If you're watching us on Rumble, thank you for supporting a great free speech platform

00:05:00.980 that believes in your human right to speak your mind.

00:05:04.520 So on Rumble, you can support the work that we do out of the goodness of your heart, leaving

00:05:08.780 us something called a Rumble Rant.

00:05:10.000 That's their paid chat.

00:05:10.780 If it's over the $5 US cutoff, we are obligating ourselves to address it on air.

00:05:15.260 If it's under the $5 US cutoff, I can't guarantee that we'll get to it, but we'll do our

00:05:19.300 very best, time permitting.

00:05:21.420 Same rules apply on the very recently re-monetized Rebel News YouTube page.

00:05:27.840 So if you're watching us over there, you can send us a super chat.

00:05:31.280 And I know some of you just prefer to watch us over there.

00:05:33.780 It's just the system you're accustomed to.

00:05:35.640 I get it.

00:05:36.440 I sure do.

00:05:37.000 So super chats, again, same rules, $5 US cutoff, anything under that, we'll do our best to

00:05:43.180 get to it.

00:05:43.560 If you're watching the recorded version of the live show, this is past Sheila giving

00:05:51.080 future viewers a little note here.

00:05:54.160 If you want to leave us a chat, a paid chat to support our work, but you didn't catch the

00:05:59.080 live show, that's okay because YouTube has the option to leave a paid comment called a

00:06:04.780 super thanks.

00:06:05.540 So if you want to do that, we sure appreciate it because as you know, we'll never take a

00:06:08.940 penny from Prime Minister Mark Carney to support the work that we do here at Rebel News.

00:06:15.040 God, that doesn't come off the tongue very well, does it?

00:06:18.640 No.

00:06:19.960 It's going to take some getting used to.

00:06:22.700 I'm almost at the point right now, Sheila, the more I delve into Mark Carney, I'm changing

00:06:28.740 my tune about Justin Trudeau, which is to say, come back, all is forgiven.

00:06:32.660 No, no, no, not all is forgiven, but just come back, take a little bit more abuse before

00:06:38.640 we can show you the door.

00:06:40.060 But let's get to Mark Carney indirectly.

00:06:44.240 It's Pierre Polyev talking about Trump and talking about the carbon tax, which contrary

00:06:52.080 to popular belief, folks, this is why I don't trust the mainstream media.

00:06:56.440 The carbon tax has not gone away.

00:07:00.180 It's very odd that Mark Carney, who is, you know, draping himself in the Canadian flag,

00:07:06.960 reimagined Captain Canuck, is against all things U.S., but apparently thinks that as the Prime

00:07:13.800 Minister, he has the power to sign an executive order, which he does not.

00:07:18.220 He, you cannot sign off the carbon tax away.

00:07:22.600 It's got to be an act of Parliament.

00:07:24.320 But regardless, why don't we first, Sheila, throw to Mr. Polyev on telling Donald Trump,

00:07:31.820 well, basically, stop the chaos, stop the tariffs.

00:07:35.460 Before I begin, I want to tell the workers here that our hearts are with you.

00:07:39.500 I know this is a very difficult and stressful time.

00:07:42.400 Some of you have already got layoff notices.

00:07:44.360 Others are worried you might face them in the future.

00:07:49.700 You're scared.

00:07:51.360 You're stressed.

00:07:52.680 You don't know what's going to happen.

00:07:54.500 I want you to know that Canadians are with you.

00:07:57.560 We will fight for your jobs, and we will make sure the supports are there in the event of layoff.

00:08:03.800 We'll make sure that EI provides payment promptly to help you keep food on the table,

00:08:09.960 and we will work to get you back into a paycheck as soon as possible.

00:08:14.580 And I once again say to Donald Trump, why would you go after these people?

00:08:19.360 These are great Canadian people.

00:08:23.140 American workers, just like them, are going to lose jobs if this continuing trade war insanity goes on.

00:08:31.740 There is no good reason to do this to these good people.

00:08:34.580 Stop the tariffs.

00:08:36.580 Stop the chaos.

00:08:38.320 Let's solve this problem.

00:08:40.420 And that will mean that workers on both sides of the border can get their lives back,

00:08:45.720 and both the nations could be stronger, safer, and more secure.

00:08:49.380 We will always be a sovereign, independent nation.

00:08:52.360 We will never be the 51st state.

00:08:54.800 We will always be proudly Canadian, and we will fight for the Canadian promise.

00:08:58.600 You know, Sheila, I think Mr. Polyev is on point.

00:09:03.360 Yeah, I think that's good.

00:09:05.000 Yeah, it's the front burner item.

00:09:06.820 But bringing it back to Carney, let me ask you this.

00:09:08.940 He gets sworn in as prime minister, and the first thing he does is bugger off to Europe.

00:09:14.080 As we speak, he's meeting with King Charles.

00:09:18.620 Sheila, does Mark Carney have a calendar?

00:09:20.480 Is this the 21st century or the 19th century?

00:09:23.420 What is he talking about there?

00:09:24.880 I'm sorry, Your Grace, but we're going to have to increase the price of beaver pelts?

00:09:28.900 This is crazy.

00:09:30.340 Why isn't he at the White House basically delivering the message Mr. Polyev just did?

00:09:37.300 Do you know what?

00:09:37.860 We'll get to that in a little bit because we have that lined up on the Mark Carney nonsense.

00:09:42.380 And some of Mark Carney's HR selections are set to inflame the Americans most definitely.

00:09:52.500 But we'll get to that in a little bit.

00:09:55.820 And I think, you know, like Polyev is gunning to be the next prime minister of Canada, not the next governor of the 51st state.

00:10:04.800 That's exactly the right choice to make to express that messaging.

00:10:12.820 And you'll note what a difference a Polyev trip to a steel mill looks like versus a carny one, right? 0.91

00:10:22.620 And I think it has a lot to do with the last time a liberal wandered in a steel mill, at least anywhere near the yucky workers of a steel mill, they got told off.

00:10:33.380 Do you remember that one guy telling off Trudeau in the parking lot of a steel mill?

00:10:39.100 And basically he said, well, we're giving your company like $400 million.

00:10:43.580 Isn't that enough for you?

00:10:44.500 And he's like, you're taxing me to death.

00:10:46.180 Stop.

00:10:47.180 So Carney couldn't have that sort of public relations misstep, which is why when he visited also a heavily subsidized steel mill in Hamilton,

00:10:56.920 he made sure that there was no mixing and mingling of him with the workers, or at least one that might be caught on camera.

00:11:06.840 You know, that's amazing.

00:11:07.860 I wonder if that was the same steel mill in Hamilton, Sheila, that Lincoln and Jay and I went to last year, also for a Polyev presser.

00:11:16.640 Two things stood out.

00:11:17.580 I think it was Algoma.

00:11:18.700 Algoma?

00:11:19.180 No, then it would not be, because I think this one was Stelko.

00:11:22.540 Two things stood out.

00:11:23.720 One was the workers all over Polyev in a good way.

00:11:29.600 And this is Hamilton, folks.

00:11:31.540 This is NDP territory.

00:11:33.960 But now they know which direction they're going with the NDP.

00:11:39.300 It's no longer about the Lunch Bucket Brigade anymore.

00:11:41.780 It's about climate action and this sort of nonsense.

00:11:45.980 The other thing, Sheila, is that tons of media were there.

00:11:51.340 And every single steel worker that decided to come up to the media area came up to talk to Lincoln, Jay, and I said how much they admired the work Rebel News is doing.

00:12:03.080 I kind of felt bad.

00:12:04.280 I saw people with the Spectator, CBC.

00:12:07.020 Did you feel bad?

00:12:08.260 I wouldn't feel bad for the CBC and the Hamilton Spectator.

00:12:12.760 No, but it was almost embarrassing.

00:12:14.400 They'll cry themselves to sleep on their bailout money.

00:12:15.900 It's okay.

00:12:16.880 They'll dry their eyes with all the tax dollars we sent them. 0.77

00:12:20.320 It's okay.

00:12:21.420 Yeah.

00:12:21.740 I'm sure they would frame it as Rebel News paid for plants at the steel mill to come over and give them accolades.

00:12:28.360 But we don't do that, folks.

00:12:29.760 You know that.

00:12:30.260 So that just shows you where, you know, a traditionally left of center, NDP kind of voter is going.

00:12:41.500 They are coming to the Conservative Party.

00:12:44.220 Oh, that happened a long time ago.

00:12:45.640 I don't understand why the blue collar unions in some parts of this country continue to vote left.

00:12:52.160 I don't think – I think that is changing, but it happened in Alberta a long time ago.

00:12:56.540 Like they're – go ahead.

00:12:58.460 Sheila, you have to have to differentiate between the leadership of the unions and the rank-and-file grunts, so to speak. 0.99

00:13:07.860 And I say that with all due respect.

00:13:09.940 You know, the guy's actually doing the work, not the guy in downtown Toronto.

00:13:14.020 The makers, not the takers.

00:13:15.180 Yeah.

00:13:15.520 The makers, not the takers.

00:13:16.900 Exactly.

00:13:18.300 Polyev called out the theater of Mark Carney's fake executive order.

00:13:23.600 We don't do that here.

00:13:24.840 They're called orders in council, and they have to go before the governor general.

00:13:27.660 But Mark Carney, he's been out of the country so long that maybe he doesn't understand how our parliamentary democracy works.

00:13:33.920 And he – for a guy who is so anti-Trump, he sure appreciates the theater of Trump signing something for a photo op.

00:13:42.060 Except when Trump signs something, it actually means something.

00:13:47.100 Let's watch Polyev pointing out what the media failed to do.

00:13:52.180 They brought in a carbon tax in this law.

00:13:56.820 This law is still in place, even though Mr. Carney has signed a fake executive order to hide the tax for 35 or 40 days leading up to the election.

00:14:08.720 It is still in place, and it applies across the board.

00:14:14.400 The tax is scheduled to go up 300 percent over the next five years, and hiding it for a few weeks will not change that.

00:14:22.800 Furthermore, the full carbon tax also applies to industries.

00:14:26.900 Industries like those here at IVACO.

00:14:33.240 IVACO makes hot rolled steel wire and steel billets, and these taxes drive up the cost of the entire domestic steel industry.

00:14:42.680 Mr. Carney has said that he wants to expand the industrial carbon tax beyond the already eye-watering increases the government has passed into law.

00:14:53.520 He specifically singled out steel in an interview he did on CTV.

00:14:58.680 He said that Canadians don't buy steel.

00:15:00.840 They don't need steel, and therefore it won't do any harm to tax steel.

00:15:05.020 Although he did admit that the tax would drive up the cost of an automobile, but by just $200.

00:15:11.160 I don't think anybody believes that.

00:15:14.160 Remember when the Liberals told us that the earlier carbon tax wouldn't cost you anything?

00:15:17.940 We learned later that that was not true.

00:15:20.620 Carney's proposed shadow carbon tax will be bigger than Trudeau's carbon tax.

00:15:26.460 And it's ultimately a trick.

00:15:29.520 Hide the tax before the election, and then bring it back bigger than ever after the election.

00:15:35.480 This was a bad idea before the Trump tariffs.

00:15:38.540 But now that Trump is hitting Canadian industry with a massive tariff, Carney is saying that he will impose a massive carbon tax on Canadian businesses.

00:15:47.540 The combination of Trump's tariffs and Carney's carbon taxes would be a disaster for the workers behind me.

00:15:55.160 Workers would lose wages.

00:15:56.760 Consumers would pay more.

00:15:58.060 Money and jobs would leave Canada, making us even more dependent on the Americans, just like Trump wants.

00:16:06.520 It reminds us of Carney's decision to move his headquarters out of Canada to the U.S.

00:16:12.060 This podcast is brought to you by Rebel News.

00:16:17.360 That's right.

00:16:18.340 So if you want to support us, why not do it in a win-win fashion?

00:16:22.980 By shopping for yourself, one of my favorite things to do, head to rebelnewsstore.com to pick the patriotic gear that pleases your heart.

00:16:32.900 And while you're there, use coupon code DREA10 to save while you do.

00:16:37.080 You know, Sheila, it's just amazing.

00:16:41.200 I began by saying, does Carney think we're in the 19th century as opposed to the 21st century by meeting with the King of England?

00:16:49.380 But now I'm thinking that Carney believes Canadians live in prehistoric times.

00:16:55.120 Yeah, we're in the Stone Age.

00:16:56.640 Yeah, we don't, we're not going to be affected by steel prices going up.

00:17:02.980 Last time I looked, the major component of my Red Rocket was steel.

00:17:09.780 And, but maybe Carney thinks Canadians get along like Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble.

00:17:15.900 You know, their cars are made out of stone and wood. 0.97

00:17:19.100 You know, I don't, this is a staggering ignorant thing to say. 1.00

00:17:23.840 And why isn't the mainstream media on him like, like a fat kid in a candy store on that ridiculous comment? 0.99

00:17:31.400 Yeah, and Polyev is right.

00:17:34.080 Like, wouldn't you want to make the industries targeted by tariffs more economically viable?

00:17:42.200 Wouldn't you remove the climate tariff if you could?

00:17:46.200 Instead, they're actually adding one. 0.92

00:17:48.100 Look at this goofy guy. 0.99

00:17:50.380 You know, this is so ridiculous. 1.00

00:17:51.680 Look at me. 1.00

00:17:52.280 Now pick it up and show it like Trump does.

00:17:54.580 If you're going to completely emulate him, go all the way.

00:17:57.940 This, I mean, this is just theater.

00:17:59.780 He removed the carbon tax, the consumer carbon tax, but he didn't remove it, by the way.

00:18:06.940 He's just hiding it by moving it upstream because they don't like you knowing it as a line item.

00:18:13.660 They just want you to think, oh, it's just inflation.

00:18:15.780 Everything costs more.

00:18:17.280 Well, there's a reason everything costs more.

00:18:19.320 And it's because that carbon tax is still there.

00:18:21.800 It's just upstream.

00:18:23.300 So it's not a line item on your gas bill anymore.

00:18:25.960 And it's not removed, by the way.

00:18:28.580 But wait a minute, Sheila.

00:18:29.380 You mean to say that the industrial carbon tax, which is still a thing and is still going to go up exponentially,

00:18:34.780 and it's going to be applied to farmers and truckers and warehouses and retail stores.

00:18:41.020 Wait a minute.

00:18:41.480 You're not suggesting they're going to pass along those costs to Canadians, are you?

00:18:46.620 They would never do something like that, would they? 1.00

00:18:48.840 Like, it's basic economics, and Carney thinks Canadians are stupid. 1.00

00:18:54.720 Like, business owners understand. 1.00

00:18:57.420 People who do grocery shopping understand that if it costs the trucker more to get it to you,

00:19:03.460 if it costs the plant more to build it, that adds into the final cost of something. 1.00

00:19:08.820 He actually thinks we're just stupid. 0.98

00:19:10.780 We don't understand why things cost the way they do. 1.00

00:19:13.300 That's what he thinks.

00:19:14.480 I think it's quite insulting, actually.

00:19:16.120 I agree with you, Sheila, but there's two things why the Liberals cannot win with this pretend acts the carbon tax,

00:19:24.900 the consumer one at least.

00:19:26.540 One is, weren't we told for years?

00:19:30.860 And remember, Carney's been advising the Justin Trudeau Liberals since 2020.

00:19:35.040 Oh, it's his messaging.

00:19:36.200 Pardon me?

00:19:36.560 It's his messaging.

00:19:37.400 Oh, tell me it's not his messaging that was saying,

00:19:40.640 oh, if you give us your money in the form of a carbon tax,

00:19:43.160 we'll cycle it through the hands of a thousand bureaucrats. 0.93

00:19:45.540 Do nothing to make it grow and then give you back more at the end of the day.

00:19:50.880 Exactly.

00:19:51.660 With the carbon tax rebate, the last one is going out next month.

00:19:57.560 But beyond that, Sheila, when he announced this carbon tax, you know, closure, which is not,

00:20:04.720 at the Liberal Leadership Convention a week ago Sunday, all the cheering.

00:20:08.780 And I went, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait a minute.

00:20:11.680 You guys, you Liberals were telling us we, it wasn't about the money.

00:20:15.900 It was about Mother Earth.

00:20:17.680 We have to save the planet, right?

00:20:19.920 Right.

00:20:20.080 We should go hungry to save the planet.

00:20:22.120 You know, that 1.6% of global CO2 emissions Canada is responsible for.

00:20:27.940 We have to eradicate that to net zero.

00:20:31.020 So even though it'll be economically devastating for the sake of planet Earth,

00:20:35.940 we had to do it.

00:20:36.800 Where did that narrative go, Sheila?

00:20:38.480 I guess it vaporized with their polling data.

00:20:44.680 It left.

00:20:45.740 The science changed when the polling did.

00:20:48.380 We've got Stephen Gilbeau, who suddenly has become a proponent for removing the carbon tax

00:20:57.540 in just a few short weeks.

00:21:01.340 So he confirms that it's been reduced to zero, which is an important point,

00:21:07.640 because the carbon tax has not been eliminated.

00:21:10.000 The carbon tax is still in effect.

00:21:11.700 Right now it's at zero, which means it could go back up to where it's supposed to be,

00:21:17.300 according to the Liberals, if Mark Carney fares well in the next election, right?

00:21:21.920 Like, it's still on the books.

00:21:24.620 The rate is at zero right now.

00:21:26.320 Let's hear from Stephen Gilbeau, who is suddenly a climate change denier.

00:21:31.340 Prime Minister Carney can actually just get rid of the carbon tax like this.

00:21:36.960 Well, basically, following a decision by Canada,

00:21:40.380 the consumer price on pollution will be brought down to zero.

00:21:44.220 So it's a regulatory measure to bring the price to zero.

00:21:48.120 So essentially it's not a removal of it, it's just lowering the price of it.

00:21:51.960 It's bringing it to zero.

00:21:55.980 See?

00:21:57.880 You're getting a carbon tax, friends.

00:21:59.540 They just don't want it in effect when the Conservatives are trying to make it a carbon tax election.

00:22:06.320 Sheila, I'm having deja vu in terms of Mr. Gilbeau being truth challenged.

00:22:11.780 You might recall last year, Lincoln Jay and I went out to Peterborough to catch Mr. Gilbeau doing a presser.

00:22:19.880 And I'll give, I call him like I see him.

00:22:23.540 I give him kudos for A, taking my question, and B, walking and talking with me en route to his vehicle,

00:22:31.280 which was really my motive.

00:22:34.520 I wanted to see what this guy drove to Peterborough in, or was, you know, he doesn't do his own driving, of course.

00:22:40.760 He's too important for that.

00:22:42.160 And lo and behold, Sheila, it was a Toyota RAV4 SUV.

00:22:48.320 Now, I asked him, why aren't you driving an EV, right?

00:22:56.400 And his first answer was, you know, last weekend, I took the train from Montreal to Quebec.

00:23:02.960 Can you imagine?

00:23:04.240 So I said, no, but in the here and now, Mr. Gilbeau, with all due respect, you got here by driving inside a Toyota RAV4.

00:23:15.180 And he got out and he pointed to the decal on the bumper that said hybrid.

00:23:20.360 He says, but it's a hybrid.

00:23:21.560 But you know what, Sheila?

00:23:23.120 I'm a car guy.

00:23:24.760 So don't kid the kidders, as they say down on the Midway.

00:23:28.720 I said to Mr. Gilbeau, but sir, it's not a plug-in hybrid.

00:23:32.940 That is what qualifies for a green plate in Ontario.

00:23:37.720 And then he just, feet, do your stuff.

00:23:41.040 That was the end of the interview.

00:23:42.300 So this smoke and mirrors, this shell game, keep your eye on the right one.

00:23:48.840 It leaves a lot to be desired.

00:23:51.620 Oh, there, super producer Olivia has the evidence.

00:23:57.040 You know, so anyhow.

00:23:59.340 I'm trying to keep us on track.

00:24:00.800 I've got a video of Stephen Gilbeau from October.

00:24:04.400 So not a gazillion years ago, like four and a half months, five months ago.

00:24:09.980 Stephen Gilbeau on the carbon tax then, when it wasn't a campaign issue.

00:24:16.540 So let's hear how quickly he flip-flopped on the issue.

00:24:19.680 If you're serious about climate change, if you're not serious about climate change, like Pierre Poirier, then, of course, you don't want to do anything.

00:24:27.740 You don't want to put measures to fight climate change.

00:24:30.460 And, you know, the planet and Canada can go to hell in a handbasket.

00:24:34.120 He doesn't care.

00:24:35.220 But if you're serious about fighting climate change, this is not the only way, but the best.

00:24:40.020 It's the best way.

00:24:42.120 The best way of doing it.

00:24:43.080 It should be the number one tool in your toolbox of fighting climate change.

00:24:48.660 It's the best way, he said.

00:24:51.800 It's the best.

00:24:52.880 So why are you getting rid of it?

00:24:55.220 I want to know, Stephen, how hard did you fight to keep it?

00:24:59.200 Or were you like, oh, dang, we're going to lose the next election.

00:25:01.800 The conservatives are making this a carbon tax election.

00:25:04.440 We better take that away from them, that spear away from them. 1.00

00:25:09.220 I think he doesn't actually care about climate change either.

00:25:12.920 I mean, we saw that he drives a Toyota RAV4, at least gets driven in a Toyota RAV4.

00:25:17.200 He only cares about power and getting reelected and using the green scheme, the scam of climate change to control other people.

00:25:25.020 But, Sheila, back to our original point, this is just kabuki theater for the cameras.

00:25:29.940 Of course it is.

00:25:30.200 We're getting rid of the – 1.00

00:25:31.320 Yeah, it's going to be back.

00:25:32.440 It's going to be harsher than ever, 100%.

00:25:35.300 He's just saying that to follow the script Mark Carney has told his minions to pronounce.

00:25:42.920 That's all.

00:25:44.120 Of course.

00:25:44.940 And, Sheila, you know, you mentioned polls.

00:25:48.040 Do you believe these polls?

00:25:49.800 Because, I mean, I'm telling you, Lady Menzoid is having conniptions and she's taking it out on me. 1.00

00:25:54.500 And I'm telling you, don't believe it.

00:25:56.880 These are false.

00:25:58.020 No, I saw one of these polls put the Bloc Québécois at 1% in Alberta.

00:26:03.520 So I'm like, give me a break.

00:26:06.340 Give me a break that the conservatives and the liberals are neck and neck when you've got the Bloc Québécois at 1% in Alberta.

00:26:16.080 Like, no.

00:26:18.460 Get over yourselves.

00:26:19.780 Okay, I've got to do a quick ad read.

00:26:21.840 Yes.

00:26:22.220 And then we'll get into Olivia Chow's hypocrisy. 1.00

00:26:26.000 And so I'll do an ad read.

00:26:29.040 I'll read the chat.

00:26:30.180 We'll hit a break.

00:26:30.940 And then we'll continue on, if that's okay.

00:26:34.140 Okay.

00:26:34.620 So this is from Rumble, our friends at Rumble.

00:26:37.680 It's a sponsorship that's incredibly important to the survival of Rumble itself, but also Rebel News.

00:26:42.620 Because when nobody would allow us to make money on the internet, Rumble did.

00:26:48.940 So when Rumble first started in 2013, they built a platform for the small creator.

00:26:52.800 They didn't censor or have biases.

00:26:54.260 They were fair and treated all creators equally.

00:26:56.460 No one thought platforms would censor political conversation or censor opinions on COVID, but they did.

00:27:00.800 And Facebook admitted they felt a pressure from the Biden and Harris administration.

00:27:04.340 Same thing happened in Canada.

00:27:05.780 If you were on the internet, on Facebook, and you were talking about COVID and just your personal experiences with COVID,

00:27:12.260 and then all of a sudden you didn't have a Facebook page anymore, that was Health Canada.

00:27:16.780 Now, Rumble didn't do any of this.

00:27:18.080 They held the line.

00:27:18.740 They're attacked daily for giving us at Rebel News a voice to talk to you.

00:27:21.680 They're attacked in corporate media, attacked by governments like France.

00:27:24.020 They are attacked from brand advertisers who refuse to work with them.

00:27:26.960 Corporate America is fighting to remove speech, although the Trump effect is changing that quickly.

00:27:32.480 Rumble is fighting to keep it.

00:27:33.660 Rumble won't survive with brand advertisers.

00:27:35.840 They don't get much of it.

00:27:37.080 Watching our show on Rumble is the most they can ask from you, but if you really believe in this fight,

00:27:40.600 and if you have the means, one major way you can help Rumble survive is by joining Rumble Premium.

00:27:44.940 Join the community that believes in the First Amendment and believes in our human right to free speech.

00:27:49.640 Rumble is offering 10% off of the promo code studio.

00:27:52.000 When you purchase an annual subscription, go to rumble.com slash premium.

00:27:55.560 Use the code studio.

00:27:56.320 Like I said, if you have the means and believe in the cause, now is the time to join Rumble Premium.

00:28:00.820 If you don't have the means and our pockets are getting picked harder than ever by the government,

00:28:05.580 we're just happy if you watch us on Rumble.

00:28:08.480 And then we've got a quick chat here from Janice H.

00:28:11.160 Gives us two bucks.

00:28:11.960 I think this is from YouTube.

00:28:13.520 So this is the result of a recent YouTube remonetization, however long that's going to last.

00:28:19.380 But it's from Janice who says, thanks, Sheila and David.

00:28:22.300 Okay, well, thank you, Janice.

00:28:23.860 Thank you, Janice. 0.98

00:28:24.340 Let's hit a rebel ad break and then we'll come right back with Olivia Chow being a total hypocrite. 1.00

00:28:32.880 Canadians know the national anthem. 0.99

00:28:35.540 They stand in silence to remember those who died for this country.

00:28:39.220 But not every Canadian knows their rights and freedoms.

00:28:43.140 The Freedom Passport will change that.

00:28:45.580 It looks and feels like a Canadian passport, but contains the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms

00:28:51.620 in a portable, easy-to-read format.

00:28:54.460 The Freedom Passport.

00:28:56.540 Order one for yourself and for all the freedom lovers that you love at freedompassport.ca.

00:29:02.860 Why should you join Canada's National Firearms Association?

00:29:08.580 We currently have one of the most aggressively anti-firearm governments in our nation's history.

00:29:15.500 Promoting fear and placing blame like never before.

00:29:19.180 Our rights, freedoms, culture, and heritage.

00:29:22.460 It's all on the line.

00:29:23.740 But we are fighting back, and there is strength in numbers.

00:29:28.280 We work within the law to change the law.

00:29:30.500 To defend competitors, hunters, collectors, and other law-abiding firearms owners.

00:29:36.120 We can get through this.

00:29:38.000 We've done it before.

00:29:39.480 And we'll do it again.

00:29:41.000 If you are with us.

00:29:42.460 Canada's National Firearms Association.

00:29:48.080 Freedom, safety, responsibility.

00:29:55.600 Alright, let's get into Olivia Chow.

00:29:58.540 She is the failing, I was going to say failed, but she continues to fail, mayor of Toronto. 0.90

00:30:07.760 You might know her from the times when she's partying at festivals, scantily clad, even though she's, I would say, geriatric. 0.68

00:30:19.600 While Hamas runs amok on the streets of Toronto.

00:30:23.320 And now she says that U.S. companies are no longer able to bid on City of Toronto contracts.

00:30:30.360 Well, I guess that's good news for SNC-Lavalin or whatever they're calling themselves these days.

00:30:35.620 What does she have on her neck? 1.00

00:30:36.980 Under $8.8 million.

00:30:40.040 And goods and services under $353,000.

00:30:45.380 U.S.-based suppliers will no longer be able to bid on City contracts.

00:30:54.340 Wow.

00:30:55.620 Businesses who have been most impacted by U.S. tariff must be supported.

00:31:02.500 The workers will be hurt.

00:31:05.580 Today, I'm announcing an industrial property tax deferral program to help businesses who need it most.

00:31:16.380 Excuse me.

00:31:17.120 The program will allow the affected property owners to defend.

00:31:24.280 That is where...

00:31:25.520 Wow.

00:31:27.860 By the way, what is that on her neck, Sheila? 0.97

00:31:31.420 Don't ask me how I know this, but the last time I saw fabric like that, it was at the Zanzibar in downtown Toronto.

00:31:38.440 Anyway, here's the thing.

00:31:41.480 I want to know what the dollar amount is, Sheila.

00:31:47.120 For example, at that presser, she talked right off the hop, they're going to buy the...

00:31:53.080 That's the Toronto Fire Services.

00:31:55.620 They have to buy a couple of dozen new pumper trucks.

00:32:00.300 They're going to buy the Canadian-made fire trucks.

00:32:05.260 The question is, how much does that cost as a premium over what I suppose was the original tender for the American pumper trucks?

00:32:17.260 Because they are spending not their own money, but our tax money.

00:32:23.000 You know, this is what is concerning.

00:32:25.740 Listen, I'm all about Canadian businesses succeeding, and I love the idea of Made in Canada.

00:32:30.360 But is that going to be at a premium?

00:32:34.020 Because I can tell you this, Sheila, that means the City of Toronto residents, you're in for yet another perhaps double-digit tax increase next year.

00:32:44.800 That is if you can afford the steel, you know, to do these things, thanks to Mark Carney's tariffs.

00:32:52.180 I just want to point out the hypocrisy here.

00:32:53.880 Has Olivia Chow ever banned Chinese companies, state-owned companies, from doing business in China?

00:33:01.040 Absolutely.

00:33:01.560 Or in Toronto?

00:33:02.780 Absolutely not.

00:33:03.600 In fact, Invest Ontario, which is the crown corporation of the Ontario government, has an entire office dedicated to getting Chinese businesses to invest in Ontario.

00:33:17.120 And this is, it's got a mandate letter from the provincial government to do this work.

00:33:26.760 It's from the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade to get Chinese entities to invest in Ontario.

00:33:35.860 Even after all we know about China and how sinister they are. 1.00

00:33:39.900 Um, this is what's happening in Ontario, but they see the Americans as the bad guys, worse than China right now.

00:33:48.220 Sheila, let's compare apples and apples when it comes to Ontario.

00:33:52.380 Uh, last week, as you know, uh, China applied more tariffs against Canadian-made products.

00:33:58.420 So, I ask, um, Premier Doug Ford, uh, does that mean you're going to yank the Chinese products off the shelves of the liquor control board, uh, stores, like you did earlier this month with Kentucky bourbons and California wines and assorted other products?

00:34:15.740 And by the way, I, I put that out on X and I got flamed by certain people.

00:34:20.720 Oh yeah, lots of Chinese liquor at LCBO stores.

00:34:23.740 Yeah, actually there is, there are Chinese liquor products and beyond this tariff tiff that we're into, Sheila, why are we stocking Chinese liquor, Chinese beer, uh, the trinkets and trash that are on the shelves, such as bottle openers, which are made in China anyways?

00:34:42.520 I mean, shouldn't we have had an anti-Chinese regime buying policy going back to COVID?

00:34:49.780 You know, from the world endured trillions, trillions with a T folks of economic damage.

00:34:58.040 Millions of people died.

00:34:59.780 Uh, all the evidence is pointing to the, uh, Wuhan Virology, uh, Institute, not the wet market and some bad broth of bat soup. 0.98

00:35:10.380 So where possible, we shouldn't be buying from China at all.

00:35:16.380 So I want to hear from, uh, Ontario's, uh, biggest cherry cheesecake eating enthusiast.

00:35:23.060 If you pull off the Kentucky bourbon, why not the Chinese beer?

00:35:27.320 Yeah.

00:35:28.340 You know, and ask a Western Canadian canola producer right now, how they feel about China.

00:35:34.160 Uh, a hundred percent tariffs on canola.

00:35:37.260 Why?

00:35:37.900 Because Justin Trudeau tariffed, uh, Chinese EVs to save his heavily subsidized, uh, EV battery and otherwise, uh, automobile, automobile manufacturers in Quebec and Ontario.

00:35:52.740 Um, I just, I sort of posted on X before I jumped on the stream here.

00:35:58.220 It's real easy to be team Canada when it, you've got the federal government, all the political parties fighting to save your jobs.

00:36:09.460 I was going to say doing everything they can, but they're not doing everything they can as in just take down the rhetoric a little bit.

00:36:15.040 They're not willing to do that, but otherwise willing to do everything they can to make sure that your jobs are protected while Western Canadian, uh, workers and farmers, um, we're expected to sacrifice ours.

00:36:28.300 Of course you are because the West doesn't vote liberal, Sheila.

00:36:32.240 Right.

00:36:32.720 Nothing is to lose here.

00:36:34.280 Exactly.

00:36:34.960 Yeah.

00:36:35.800 Okay.

00:36:36.360 Let's just to stay on time.

00:36:38.360 Let's bump ahead to Mark Carney.

00:36:40.020 As you pointed out a little bit earlier, Mark Carney, I think, uh, pointing out his priorities and in a swipe at the Trump administration, which I mean, these guys continue to be petty about the Trump administration, but they will crush our economy if they don't stop this BS.

00:36:58.440 And, and, and anyways, Carney decided to go, uh, to Europe as his first, uh, tour of duty, go home to Europe, I guess.

00:37:09.980 And this is him remarking, um, that Canada is the most European of non-European.

00:37:15.280 Uh, no, actually, I would say we're very close to the Americans, uh, but that just grosses these people out.

00:37:22.320 Oh, I don't know, Sheila.

00:37:23.980 Uh, I, I think we are very European when it comes to, oh, I don't know, uh, mass migration, bringing people in who hate Western values.

00:37:32.860 Yeah.

00:37:33.280 Yeah.

00:37:33.880 Spelling too.

00:37:35.040 Exactly.

00:37:35.900 So if that is the benchmark, oh yeah, we're, uh, we're pretty much an EU country.

00:37:41.560 I think that would be genocidally progressive, actually.

00:37:45.600 Whatever.

00:37:46.120 We both stand for sovereignty and security demonstrated by our unwavering support for Ukraine under your leadership with you, Mr. President.

00:38:02.360 I want to ensure that France and the whole of Europe works enthusiastically with Canada, the most European of non-European countries.

00:38:14.200 Determined like you to maintain the most positive possible relations with the United States.

00:38:22.300 Canada is a reliable, trustworthy, and strong partner of France, which shares our values and lives them through action during this age of economic and geopolitical crises.

00:38:37.020 Okay, so if we're all about trade deals with Europe, Sheila, and I really mean this, I really wish one of the trained SEALs in the mainstream media who can get access to Prime Minister Carney would ask this.

00:38:51.700 Your predecessor, Justin Trudeau, last year told some European countries, such as Germany and Greece, as well as an Asian country, Japan, there was no business case for selling about $1 trillion of liquefied natural gas.

00:39:08.660 Mr. Carney, what is your position on that?

00:39:11.860 Because right now, it seems that given his supposed about face on the carbon tax and his trip to Europe to, I don't know, I think, Sheila, the ostensible policy reason is to get more trade from European allies because what's happening in the U.S. right now, isn't that a fair and valid question?

00:39:35.380 And really, Sheila, I don't even know how we'd answer that question.

00:39:38.500 How about this? Why are you going to Europe and proclaiming that Canada is European in the middle of a trade war with the Americans?

00:39:52.900 How about that? Just like, let's not complicate the question.

00:39:56.440 What are you doing in Europe when you should be in Washington?

00:39:59.880 I feel like that's a really, like a question we all should be asking.

00:40:05.280 And to say, oh, we're very, we're very European.

00:40:08.500 Who? Montrealers? Quebec City residents?

00:40:13.720 What about the rest of us here in Alberta who feel more culturally aligned?

00:40:19.320 I'm not saying that people want to be American, although there is a very healthy portion of the population who do.

00:40:25.240 But even just to say that, you know, like there's a huge part of this country that feels more culturally compatible with Americans than Macron.

00:40:34.820 Well, you know, Sheila, I don't speak French, but I even wonder if Quebecers have that tie anymore.

00:40:40.600 I've been told if there's a made in Quebec movie that air that, you know, is screened in France, they have to put subtitles on it.

00:40:48.780 Yeah, I feel the same way about anything made in Newfoundland.

00:40:53.260 So, yeah, it's sort of the same.

00:40:56.200 We all have our own dialects, don't we?

00:40:58.260 You know what?

00:40:59.700 That's not even a joke.

00:41:01.220 There was, it was a tragedy.

00:41:02.740 It was an American transport plane that when it refueled in Newfoundland going back south to the States,

00:41:09.940 had a crash and I was watching CNN and they were speaking to a truck driver that was an eyewitness to the crash.

00:41:18.000 And his English was so heavily accented that they were indeed, Sheila, running English subtitles on the screen.

00:41:29.040 But the guy was speaking English.

00:41:31.720 Do you know what?

00:41:32.300 I think maybe I'm best suited to understand people from Newfoundland.

00:41:38.720 I don't know if they're OK with us calling them new fees or not.

00:41:41.780 But just given the sheer volume of them that live in Alberta and work in our oil industry,

00:41:48.560 in the grocery store in Fort Saskatchewan, there's like an entire Atlantic food section where you can buy your salt cod

00:41:54.660 and your big log of bologna and your weird crush version, like pineapple crush and stuff.

00:42:00.760 They have their own flavors, birch bark.

00:42:02.540 What is that?

00:42:03.620 Or birch beer?

00:42:04.500 I don't know.

00:42:05.140 Anyway.

00:42:05.440 It's kind of like a root beer.

00:42:06.820 I spent two years there.

00:42:08.060 How about Screech?

00:42:08.880 Is that on the shelves?

00:42:09.860 I think they took that off the LCBO.

00:42:11.960 Are we in a trade tiff with Newfoundland?

00:42:14.700 Is Screech something you can buy or is it something you just make at home?

00:42:17.980 No, you can buy it.

00:42:19.260 I'm sure that's a trademark name.

00:42:20.240 I don't know.

00:42:20.780 I don't drink hard liquor, so I haven't wandered over that.

00:42:24.780 I had an incident with birthday cake.

00:42:27.760 Oh, she's having her mint julep as she's out.

00:42:30.660 No, I had an incident with some like $12.26 of birthday cake vodka one time and I just never went back.

00:42:37.460 Okay, it just wasn't good.

00:42:39.960 But let's get into further to Mark Carney refusing to take down the heat in the trade dispute with the Americans.

00:42:48.420 You know, first he goes to Europe instead of going to Washington, which is a real clear signal that he is not willing to back down on any of this stuff to save Canadian jobs.

00:42:59.320 But he then hired Catherine McKenna's house husband, Scott Gilmore, of all people, to be his foreign defense and security policy advisor.

00:43:17.560 He's joining Carney's office.

00:43:19.020 So this is the Canadian government and not like what Carney did to avoid ethics disclosures.

00:43:26.340 He joined as an advisor to the leader of the Liberal Party, which would help him advise Trudeau on things that would then enrich Brookfield asset management without having to make ethics disclosures.

00:43:38.740 Because, oh, I don't work for the Canadian government.

00:43:40.740 I work for the Liberal Party.

00:43:42.300 Now, I think Scott Gilmore has joined in an official capacity in the prime minister's office.

00:43:47.600 Now, the reason I say this is crazy is because, well, Scott Gilmore, you'll know he once famously said that people's grandpas who went off to war in Europe to fight the Nazis, you know, like stormed the beaches of D-Day in what was often a suicide mission.

00:44:07.100 And he thought Antifa was cut from the same cloth as our grandpa's.

00:44:11.400 Now, he's Carney's defense and security advisor, like advising on issues of national defense, military related stuff.

00:44:18.960 I forget his tweet.

00:44:20.420 Like he pictured he sent a tweet of it was D-Day.

00:44:24.480 And it was like one of those, the beaches, like the they were headed towards the beach.

00:44:30.160 And he was like, this is the alt left going to fight the alt right.

00:44:35.640 As if as if those young men fighting in defense of the world considered themselves akin to the alt left, which is Antifa and the Hamas marchers, like just madness.

00:44:50.740 But this is the guy who's advising on military issues now.

00:44:54.260 You know, I know how much it bothered him to be called the house husband.

00:45:01.080 And I'm glad I'll continue to say it.

00:45:02.840 I'm good.

00:45:03.180 I'm just happy he got a job out of the house.

00:45:05.220 But you know what?

00:45:06.120 I got to tell you, you know, Catherine McKenna gave a press conference.

00:45:10.640 It was back in 2017.

00:45:14.120 Efra and I attended it.

00:45:15.720 To her credit, she took her question.

00:45:17.380 But I'll never forget her shot, her passive aggressiveness.

00:45:21.940 This is it.

00:45:22.520 The alt left violently coming at the alt right circa 1944.

00:45:26.880 I'm sure all those young men from Alberta consider them the alt left Scott Gilmore.

00:45:34.420 Yeah.

00:45:35.200 And also Antifa, Sheila, it's a contraction of anti-fascist.

00:45:41.560 But they use all the tools of fascists.

00:45:45.980 Yeah.

00:45:46.080 They're violent.

00:45:48.420 They, you know, not only against property, but against people.

00:45:52.780 So their real name should be Fah.

00:45:55.300 Does Scott Gilmore realize that we were fighting the fascists some 80 years ago in Europe?

00:46:02.780 I don't know.

00:46:03.120 Because it's a complete disconnect.

00:46:05.360 But I was going to say, I got to get this shot in because I've waited.

00:46:10.820 Oh, what is it?

00:46:11.540 I'm doing the math.

00:46:12.360 Eight years.

00:46:13.840 2017, Catherine McKenna says to me after I asked the question, this is how she begins her nonsensical answer, Sheila.

00:46:24.300 Oh, Rebel News, you're still around?

00:46:28.260 Where are you, honey?

00:46:30.000 I mean.

00:46:30.480 We're still around and you're not, sister.

00:46:32.480 And that was in 2017.

00:46:36.040 Yeah.

00:46:36.440 But, you know, what is it, Sheila, about the surname Gilmore?

00:46:40.660 Scott Gilmore?

00:46:41.700 Rachel Gilmore?

00:46:42.900 I mean.

00:46:43.520 Well, then again, there is Dougie Gilmore, but he spells his name differently.

00:46:47.540 So I don't know.

00:46:48.620 There's is there something in that ancestral line that is a bit of a defect, maybe?

00:46:55.400 No, let's not.

00:46:56.400 Let's not do that to all the Gilmores. 0.98

00:46:58.400 I'm sure that it's to their great chagrin that they share a last name with some of these people. 0.97

00:47:03.380 But he is an anti-Trump lunatic, Scott Gilmore. 0.61

00:47:08.440 If you just go to his X account and just put search by Trump and he is like proposing. 0.87

00:47:15.820 This is one of his tweets from the last time Trump was in power.

00:47:18.720 I'm proposing Western allies use a Magnitsky Act against Trump.

00:47:25.740 This sounds absurd.

00:47:27.040 OK, you should have just stopped there.

00:47:29.060 But this is all absurd.

00:47:30.740 Chancellor Merkel just gave a speech acknowledging Europe can no longer rely on America to help in its defense.

00:47:35.720 This is staggering.

00:47:36.920 And then he said Trump has adopted a Russian style of governance by what?

00:47:42.160 Shrinking the size and scope of government instead of making it like Russia makes everything government 0.97

00:47:48.080 or government lateral, right?

00:47:51.200 He's shrinking the size and scope of government.

00:47:53.260 He's shrinking the influence of his own office.

00:47:57.660 Anyways, he goes on to say like Trump is somehow some amalgam of both Hitler and Putin and possibly Stalin. 0.88

00:48:08.420 This is the crazy guy who's advising the prime minister of Canada on foreign policy.

00:48:14.580 So just where do you think this is going to go?

00:48:18.080 Where do you think this is going to go?

00:48:19.620 That is so rich when he references Chancellor Merkel.

00:48:23.180 This is the same woman who started, I don't know, shutting down nuclear plants in Germany 0.55

00:48:28.420 so that more than 70 percent of Germany's energy needs is dependent on, drumroll please, Russia.

00:48:37.040 Yeah, yeah.

00:48:37.700 Yeah.

00:48:38.100 I mean, and if Mark Carney wasn't advising Justin Trudeau to neglect or obstruct is more like

00:48:47.940 the liquefied natural gas sector here in Canada, we could have offset some of the riches that

00:48:57.600 Putin is using from Gazprom to wage war in Ukraine.

00:49:01.980 But instead, they'd rather just block Canadian oil and gas and then give Zelensky money out the other side.

00:49:07.940 Money we don't have, by the way.

00:49:09.480 Yeah.

00:49:09.980 Unbelievable.

00:49:10.420 Uh, let's, uh, go into Carney and the controversy around Brookfield asset management and not just

00:49:18.400 Brookfield because he says he's no longer the chair there.

00:49:21.080 Okay.

00:49:21.800 But I'm sure he has a lot of holdings.

00:49:23.500 Um, and now that he's prime minister, we should know what those are.

00:49:27.940 Um, and, uh, I'm, I'm also curious how his personal wealth ballooned while he was whispering

00:49:36.940 in Justin Trudeau's ear about, um, what he should do with the Canadian economy.

00:49:42.960 So, uh, Michael Barrett, who I think he should be the next procurement minister.

00:49:49.760 Um, he's got some questions.

00:49:52.500 So let's, uh, listen.

00:49:54.620 Mark Carney, you've just become prime minister and Canadians have one simple question.

00:49:59.120 What are you hiding?

00:50:00.360 You told Canadians you had no connection to Brookfield asset management, the massive investment firm

00:50:06.120 with billions invested in sectors your government now controls.

00:50:09.880 But a bombshell national post report exposes the truth.

00:50:13.960 Brookfield and your own team, quote, declined to clarify if the new prime minister still possesses

00:50:19.240 any financial interest in Brookfield, end quote.

00:50:22.220 So were you lying then or are you lying now?

00:50:25.820 Here's what we know.

00:50:27.220 You have already lied once about your involvement in moving the headquarters of Brookfield to the

00:50:32.420 United States.

00:50:33.580 You're entitled to carried interest payments, potentially worth tens of millions of dollars

00:50:39.540 from Brookfield's investment funds.

00:50:41.900 That's not a passive investment.

00:50:43.260 That's a direct financial stake in the deals you made while you were at Brookfield.

00:50:48.740 And now as prime minister, you have the power to shape policies that could make those investments

00:50:53.940 even more valuable.

00:50:55.620 That's a massive conflict of interest.

00:50:58.860 You claim to have placed your assets in a blind trust.

00:51:01.940 But let's be real.

00:51:03.200 A blind trust doesn't erase the fact that you know these assets exist.

00:51:07.740 Right.

00:51:08.100 You know their value and you know exactly which policies could impact their profitability.

00:51:14.580 And unlike stocks, these assets can't just be sold off.

00:51:18.800 Canadians shouldn't have to wonder if their prime minister is making decisions for them

00:51:23.280 or for his own wallet.

00:51:25.420 You say you have nothing to hide.

00:51:27.340 So why are you hiding?

00:51:29.140 Here's what you should tell Canadians.

00:51:31.180 Do you still have financial interest in Brookfield and its funds?

00:51:34.300 Are you holding carried interest, stock options, or deferred compensation?

00:51:39.860 Will you recuse yourself from decisions that could benefit Brookfield?

00:51:44.260 Canadians deserve transparency.

00:51:46.620 And they deserve a government that works for them.

00:51:49.320 Not for corporate elites and backroom insiders.

00:51:52.920 Thanks for tuning in to this podcast.

00:52:17.960 We appreciate your support.

00:52:20.260 All right.

00:52:20.580 I just moved him up to finance minister and my fantasy football game board over here.

00:52:25.140 I've got Larry Brock at AG.

00:52:26.800 Michael Barrett has moved from procurement to finance because of how he was talking about deferred payments.

00:52:35.380 And I've got Rachel Dancho at public safety, or sorry, Raquel Dancho at public safety. 0.97

00:52:40.580 And at environment, I have conservative MP Blaine Calkins.

00:52:44.740 Why?

00:52:45.300 Because he was a park ranger.

00:52:47.440 And so he actually is in the environment or was in the environment.

00:52:52.260 Now I have to find somebody for procurement again.

00:52:54.200 Anyways, go on.

00:52:55.060 Inspired pick.

00:52:55.620 But you know what?

00:52:56.220 He got one thing wrong when he said Brookfield Asset Management controls billions in assets.

00:53:03.360 It's actually over a trillion, Sheila.

00:53:05.960 I'm reminded about that great line in the movie Superman Returns where Lois Lane talks about Lex Luthor's plan.

00:53:13.920 It's going to end up killing millions.

00:53:15.840 And he gets really angry when he pounds the table.

00:53:17.780 And he says, millions.

00:53:19.100 It's billions.

00:53:20.200 Billions.

00:53:20.640 Again, the press underestimates Lex Luthor.

00:53:24.480 So yeah, that is the size of that company.

00:53:29.520 One trillion dollars plus in asset management.

00:53:33.160 And I want to reiterate this.

00:53:35.860 That was the biggest of the big lies he was caught in, or one of the earliest, I should say, Sheila, in January when he said,

00:53:42.840 Oh, but you know what?

00:53:44.180 I wasn't with the board when the move went through.

00:53:47.180 But he was the chairman of the board when the vote was taken to move the Toronto headquarters to New York City.

00:53:55.140 October 31st.

00:53:56.400 Hey, happy Halloween.

00:53:58.220 Yeah, that is a trick or treat.

00:54:00.000 So again, he lied about the lie.

00:54:03.200 And I guess where I'm going with this, Sheila, is like, how can we trust him about anything?

00:54:09.220 And the fact that who's his chief of staff right now?

00:54:12.860 Marco Mettuccino.

00:54:14.180 No, the guy who had his farewell party at a venue not far from our headquarters, which has a ginormous Pinocchio statue.

00:54:23.580 This is the guy that's lied and lied, you know, about the biggest one, I think, Sheila, is police services telling the government to do the crackdown on the trucker freedom convoy in 2022.

00:54:39.520 Which police service?

00:54:41.420 Ottawa?

00:54:42.460 OPP?

00:54:43.260 RCMP?

00:54:44.180 Hello? 1.00

00:54:46.240 So an uber liar advising an up-and-coming superstar liar. 0.99

00:54:52.960 Brilliant. 0.91

00:54:53.920 Can somebody let me know in the comments?

00:54:56.700 His name escapes me right now.

00:54:58.460 And I paid such close attention to the Green Slash Fund hearings.

00:55:02.280 The older conservative MP, he got removed from the House of Commons.

00:55:09.280 Not Michael Barrett.

00:55:10.380 Michael Barrett also got thrown out.

00:55:12.100 I think it was on the same day.

00:55:13.500 But I need to put him at procurement on my board because I have a white board going and I just don't want to forget.

00:55:21.340 I like him.

00:55:23.200 I think you should go.

00:55:23.900 I want Stephen Ellis over at Health, too.

00:55:27.200 So, anyways, the board is growing and hopefully it manifests.

00:55:32.180 Okay, let's keep going.

00:55:33.080 Wait a minute.

00:55:33.400 What ministry would you like, Sheila?

00:55:34.960 Oh, I would love to be an associate minister at Environment, and then I would do away with the entire parks ministry.

00:55:42.380 I don't think the government should be telling you what parts of nature you should use.

00:55:45.800 I should just get out of there.

00:55:46.400 I would doge Batman.

00:55:47.620 I would.

00:55:50.560 All right.

00:55:51.400 Let's keep going.

00:55:52.360 We've got this quick note from the NDP.

00:55:55.260 I'm just going to brush over it because we need to get to everything that's on the board today.

00:55:58.660 NDP says, Mark Carney's in it for billionaires. 0.97

00:56:01.720 Okay, so call the election jerks. 0.57

00:56:03.280 Like, you know, the NDP, Mark Carney, is in it for billionaires, not working people, and then he promises taxes to cut taxes for billionaires, not working people. 0.72

00:56:15.460 Sheila, there is a big scuttlebutt right now that the election will indeed be called, perhaps on Sunday.

00:56:23.200 I'll believe it when I see it.

00:56:24.640 Well, I don't know.

00:56:26.200 There's a lot of chatter.

00:56:27.660 And the reason I would think the Liberals and Carney would want to go to the polls ASAP is that they believe these ludicrous popularity polls that showed them within 1%, whereas just a few months ago, it was a lopsided landslide for the Conservatives.

00:56:50.600 I still think it's going to be a Conservative-majority government, but if they believe their own hype, yeah, well, go for it.

00:56:56.400 Let's go.

00:56:57.100 Let's have that election.

00:56:59.760 We'll see.

00:57:01.080 I don't believe it.

00:57:01.820 You don't think it's going to be called?

00:57:03.180 No?

00:57:04.180 I just, who can trust the NDP these days?

00:57:07.640 Oh, no, you can't trust them.

00:57:08.740 I think a sellout Singh has already said he won't bring down the government.

00:57:12.080 I can't remember the reason.

00:57:13.240 Does the reason even matter?

00:57:14.880 Carney said last week the election will be called.

00:57:17.620 You think Carney's going to call it?

00:57:19.160 I don't know.

00:57:19.600 Well, he did say sometime before November last week.

00:57:22.600 Yeah, November 2026.

00:57:25.580 Oh, yeah.

00:57:26.400 Oh, that theory again.

00:57:28.540 Yeah.

00:57:28.980 Maybe.

00:57:29.860 I've got a quick ad read because we have to pay the bills here, and then we'll get into,

00:57:34.580 I believe, Conor McGregor stuff.

00:57:38.840 Yeah.

00:57:38.920 Okay, so this one is from 1775coffee.com.

00:57:42.960 Weak coffee is for the weak.

00:57:44.960 And at Rumble, weak has never been part of the mission.

00:57:47.840 No fillers, no fraud, and no settling for mediocrity, just like 1775 coffee.

00:57:52.640 It's single origin, single farm, handpicked, specially grade coffee that stands for quality,

00:57:56.440 free speech, and calling out BS when it matters.

00:57:58.660 Forget stale, mass-produced beans roasted just enough to hide the flaws.

00:58:02.520 Dark roast hits like a Trump tariff.

00:58:05.900 Medium roast keeps it bold with the bitterness, and Vitality Mushroom Blend is real energy and

00:58:11.080 lasting focus with no synthetic garbage.

00:58:13.780 For K-cup pods, whole bean, or fresh ground coffee, go to 1775coffee.com.

00:58:19.660 Use code STUDIO for 15% off, and start your morning with coffee that stands for something.

00:58:23.960 Oh, and every dollar spent enters you to win a Cybertruck and $30,000 cash.

00:58:30.980 All right, that's 1775coffee.com.

00:58:33.120 Okay, let's get into the Conor McGregor stuff.

00:58:35.100 Oh, and by the way, Sheila, if I may, if I had the coin, I would buy a Cybertruck because

00:58:42.180 I think it is absolutely despicable what's happening.

00:58:45.300 Again, with the so-called Antifa types south of the border, torching Tesla dealerships. 0.51

00:58:52.040 There was a photo from a week ago, Sheila, of a Cybertruck in Manhattan, and somebody spray

00:58:58.220 painted a swastika on it.

00:59:01.100 As much as I'm not with the EV hype, I would, to send a message the opposite way, I would buy

00:59:10.340 a Tesla product.

00:59:11.880 And I got to tell you, I love that Cybertruck.

00:59:13.800 To me, it's like if the Honda Ridgeline was exposed to gamma rays like Bruce Banner becoming

00:59:20.580 the Hulk and turning into this thing, and I know the design is in your face, but you

00:59:25.920 know what, Sheila?

00:59:26.640 I know you're kind of a car girl yourself.

00:59:29.600 Isn't it nice to see manufacturers taking a risk on design instead of making everything

00:59:35.780 look like a homogenized jelly bean on wheels?

00:59:38.640 So I'm going to look into that contest.

00:59:42.180 I want to win that Cybertruck.

00:59:44.320 Is it valid in Canada, that contest, by the way, Sheila?

00:59:47.360 I'm not sure, but for me, I love the politics of a Cybertruck.

00:59:52.960 I do.

00:59:53.580 Don't get me wrong.

00:59:54.960 But for me, as a purist, I'm a square body truck kind of girl.

00:59:59.120 I don't like a curve on my vehicle.

01:00:01.160 And that Honda Ridgeline looks like the illegitimate child of, or sorry, that Cybertruck looks like

01:00:08.380 the illegitimate child of a Honda Ridgeline and a Pontiac Aztec.

01:00:11.820 Like, I just, like, I can't take it.

01:00:15.440 It's just not, it's not nice to look at.

01:00:17.380 I don't like it.

01:00:18.160 You know, if General Motors stayed with the concept car of the Pontiac Aztec, and if they

01:00:23.400 had listened to the six figures and consultant advice, which they didn't, the Aztec would 0.98

01:00:28.160 have been a pretty special vehicle.

01:00:30.420 But, you know, who are we to tell General Motors what to do?

01:00:35.140 No, they make a mistake, just get a bailout.

01:00:36.940 It's fine.

01:00:38.200 It's Rick Perkins.

01:00:39.500 Thank you, Dave, behind the scenes.

01:00:41.600 Rick Perkins.

01:00:42.480 He's on procurement.

01:00:43.600 He's going on the board.

01:00:45.440 Rick Perkins is going to procurement.

01:00:47.320 I've got to find a place for Michelle Rumpel. 1.00

01:00:49.440 Sheila, if I were a Conservative MP, where would I be in this beautiful cabinet?

01:00:55.200 Heritage.

01:00:57.260 How dare you?

01:00:59.700 We would be allowed to say whatever we wanted on the internet.

01:01:03.560 That's why.

01:01:04.220 Okay.

01:01:04.660 Let's move ahead to Conor McGregor, because we're over the top of the hour.

01:01:08.740 Yes.

01:01:09.720 Go ahead, David.

01:01:10.520 You can lead.

01:01:11.060 Oh, well, it is Conor McGregor speaking out against mass migration in Ireland.

01:01:18.160 You know, folks, I welcome you to go to our website and look at Ezra Levent's wonderful

01:01:25.300 posts right from Ireland.

01:01:27.840 Something sinister is happening there.

01:01:30.020 There's no other way to explain it.

01:01:32.100 A lot of young men from, I'll call it as I see it, culturally incompatible countries are 1.00

01:01:40.340 being dumped into Ireland.

01:01:43.020 And I mean, I, you know, it's fitting at St. Patrick's Day.

01:01:46.700 I've only been to Ireland once.

01:01:48.300 It was mostly the Belfast area back in 2001.

01:01:52.140 I love Ireland.

01:01:53.240 I love the Irish people.

01:01:55.400 And I think, Sheila, what's happening to that country right now is scandalous.

01:02:00.680 And I don't, I can't connect the dots unless, of course, the plan is to de-Irish Ireland. 0.62

01:02:09.900 I think the simplest answer is the most accurate answer.

01:02:17.980 I don't think that there's some sort of complicated answer.

01:02:20.260 It is to change the demographics of Ireland. 0.90

01:02:24.040 It's like when you are dumping more people into a town from culturally incompatible regions 1.00

01:02:31.260 of the world, then the people who actually live in there, these Irish towns overnight 1.00

01:02:36.340 are suddenly not Irish anymore.

01:02:38.260 Correct.

01:02:38.900 And, and I think it is to just make, make these places no longer Irish. 1.00

01:02:45.020 They think that we, we're in a post-national state world, if you believe the progressive

01:02:51.060 left and to have your own distinct cultural identity is not for us in the Western world

01:02:57.180 anymore.

01:02:58.800 And, and when you listen to people like Justin Trudeau and for that matter, the greater liberal

01:03:05.900 movement, the Western world has been a bunch of colonizers and genocide heirs.

01:03:11.900 And for them, they think it is our time to be colonized.

01:03:15.900 So why don't we throw to Mr. McGregor at the White House and get the, his opinions right

01:03:22.920 from the horse's mouth.

01:03:23.780 I'm here to raise the issues the people of Ireland face, you know, and it'll be music

01:03:29.020 to the people of Ireland's ears because never on the main stage has the issues the people

01:03:33.500 of Ireland face been spoke.

01:03:35.680 You know, our government has long since abandoned the voices of the people of Ireland and it's

01:03:40.520 high time that America is made aware of what is going on in Ireland.

01:03:44.420 What is going on in Ireland is a travesty.

01:03:46.720 Our government is the government of zero action with zero accountability.

01:03:51.540 You know, our money is being spent on overseas issues that has nothing to do with the Irish

01:03:55.520 people.

01:03:57.340 The illegal immigration racket is running ravage on, on the country. 1.00

01:04:02.240 There are rural towns in Ireland that have been overrun in one swoop, that have become

01:04:05.880 a minority in one swoop.

01:04:07.580 So issues need to be addressed.

01:04:09.220 And the 40 million Irish Americans, as I said, need to hear this because if not, there will

01:04:15.420 be no place to come home and visit.

01:04:17.680 Wow.

01:04:18.240 He's got my vote.

01:04:19.260 If I were an Irishman, Sheila, the same thing is happening here.

01:04:23.420 I mean, I filled in last year for Ezra, for one of his shows, and my monologue was about

01:04:28.460 the contract with official state multiculturalism has been broken.

01:04:33.240 We go back to Justin Trudeau's father.

01:04:35.300 Uh, this is when official multiculturalism was brought in 1971, if I recall, and there

01:04:41.760 was an unspoken agreement, Sheila, and it was, you can come from anywhere in the world

01:04:46.500 and you can pursue the Canadian dream and you can take advantage of our Canadian welfare

01:04:51.120 programs, whether it's state funded Medicaid or, uh, welfare, unemployment insurance, you

01:04:58.860 name it.

01:04:59.560 But here's what we ask of you.

01:05:02.360 Obey the law.

01:05:03.720 Don't be a troublemaker.

01:05:05.300 Don't import age old hatreds into our dominion.

01:05:10.220 And as we've seen for the last 16 months, uh, every weekend in cities across Canada, the,

01:05:17.360 uh, pro Hamas types chanting for genocide and nothing's done.

01:05:22.000 You know, they're not Canadian. 0.96

01:05:24.460 They hate Canada.

01:05:26.040 They hate Western values.

01:05:27.840 That's what's happening in Ireland right now.

01:05:29.740 So, uh, kudos for Conor McGregor for speaking out.

01:05:33.740 Yeah, I think it is a sad state of affairs when the chief cultural activist and government

01:05:41.340 accountability advocate for Ireland, uh, is an MMA fighter who spent most of his career

01:05:48.420 in the United States.

01:05:49.380 Like that says a lot about the state of affairs inside of Ireland right now.

01:05:53.900 That a millionaire, although at the same time, it's like America has Trump now.

01:06:00.300 So, you know, like, uh, a billionaire, uh, real estate mogul from New York and Florida has

01:06:09.900 become the president of the United States twice.

01:06:12.620 Um, it, I guess at some level, it shouldn't shock me that a millionaire MMA fighter who spent the

01:06:21.920 bulk of his career in America has become the chief advocate for cultural preservation in

01:06:28.820 beautiful Ireland.

01:06:30.220 What's wrong with the politicians there right now?

01:06:32.680 Are they so colonized by this, uh, globalist nonsense that they think that there's a problem

01:06:38.220 with Ireland being Irish?

01:06:40.320 Well, I'm no expert on Irish politics, Sheila, but, uh, I can tell you, uh, Conor McGregor would

01:06:45.940 make a great representative.

01:06:47.120 And as you said, uh, he has spent so many years in mixed martial arts, but, you know, I can tell

01:06:53.080 you just by watching that clip, he has all his marbles, you know, yeah, in a sport that can really

01:06:59.380 be a brain shaker, uh, for participants.

01:07:02.120 So, uh, good on him.

01:07:04.020 Uh, and we'll have to follow, uh, what his political ambitions are given that, uh, I guess

01:07:10.160 going back to the ring is, uh, is not an option for him right now.

01:07:14.600 Uh, I'm kind of excited when we get, uh, the different kinds of people involved in politics.

01:07:21.380 I mean, look what Donald Trump did to politics in the United States.

01:07:24.840 Um, you don't have to be a career politician or a lawyer, um, from a well-connected lobby firm

01:07:33.520 to get into politics anymore.

01:07:35.020 Like you can just be somebody who's had it up to here with the nonsense, um, and who

01:07:41.140 has a platform, which I, I'm all for it, uh, enough of the barriers to entering politics.

01:07:47.620 Uh, somebody has to speak up for the forgotten people. 0.78

01:07:50.320 Trump did that.

01:07:51.100 He spoke up for the Rust Belt, middle America, um, flyover country, as they call it in the United

01:07:56.860 States and Conor McGregor's, Conor McGregor's doing the same.

01:08:00.000 Sheila, isn't that the most galling thing about how the Democrats look at most of the

01:08:05.280 population of the U S fly, uh, fly it's, and that is meant as a dismissive thing.

01:08:11.740 It's, it's where we're, it's where we're flying over on route from New York to say San Francisco

01:08:17.420 or Los Angeles, New York to LA.

01:08:19.280 Yeah.

01:08:19.600 They fly over that part.

01:08:21.100 So fly over country.

01:08:22.400 What, how shameful, you know what?

01:08:24.740 Quite literally looking down on them, you know, the builders and the growers of the world.

01:08:30.940 We've got a chat and then I think we'll wrap it up.

01:08:33.100 All right.

01:08:33.720 Um, commander Kim gives us five bucks on behalf of the United States.

01:08:38.000 I'm notifying David Mendes that he is receiving the substantial bill for all the cleanup of pew

01:08:45.540 pews at the bottom of the great lakes and surrounding bodies of water.

01:08:49.420 Oh no, this is, is that a reference about this?

01:08:55.600 Oh, it's in reference to David's, uh, appearance on the live stream last week.

01:09:02.200 Oh, I thought it was in reference to our Wasaga beach report where there were certain people

01:09:08.660 not using poo poos. 0.57

01:09:10.400 Poo poos. 1.00

01:09:11.320 Yes.

01:09:11.760 Instead of pew pews.

01:09:13.020 Yes.

01:09:14.100 Oh yeah.

01:09:15.660 We're well, we'll keep an eye on both of those.

01:09:17.580 I suppose, um, you're going to keep an eye on that one.

01:09:21.280 You are, but are you very, very briefly.

01:09:25.080 Yeah.

01:09:26.080 Well, thank you for the donation.

01:09:28.080 Nevertheless, much appreciated.

01:09:29.760 Well, as a Sheila intimated folks, that is it.

01:09:32.880 We've gone over.

01:09:33.860 Sheila is a busy bee today. 0.99

01:09:35.480 Uh, we will be back.

01:09:37.420 Sheila and I on Friday tomorrow.

01:09:39.840 You can see the sensational Sheila teaming up with, can I call her the lovely lease? 1.00

01:09:44.660 Because I met her, I met her back in December and I really did kind of fall in love.

01:09:49.820 I got to tell you, I really love that gal. 0.81

01:09:51.840 So lease from Saskatchewan, I believe, uh, will be teaming up with a Sheila tomorrow. 1.00

01:09:57.400 Enjoy yourselves as always until we meet again, folks stay safe and stay sane.

01:10:02.960 Today I am announcing that a common sense Canada first conservative government will repeal the

01:10:09.020 entire carbon tax, including the federal backstop that requires provinces impose industrial taxes.

01:10:15.380 There will be no taxes on consumers, no taxes on Canadian industries.

01:10:20.800 Instead, provinces will continue to have the freedom to address this issue how they like,

01:10:25.680 but there will be no federal obligation to impose the tax.

01:10:28.780 We will also axe the tax on steel, aluminum, natural gas, food production, concrete, and

01:10:34.480 other industries.

01:10:35.720 Instead of taxes, we will use technology.

01:10:38.860 Technology, not taxes, is the best way to fight climate change and protect our environment.

01:10:45.020 While the liberals tax businesses who use energy, conservatives will cut taxes and boost

01:10:49.760 incentives for those who bring down emissions.

01:10:52.480 Carrot, not stick.

01:10:54.540 We will expand eligibility for the clean technology and clean manufacturing investment tax credits.
