00:00:55.480 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you,
00:01:07.260 in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favorite rebels.
00:01:11.840 I'm your host, David Menzies.
00:01:13.920 So, I thought we had regime change recently in Alberta.
00:01:17.940 But if that's the case, why was Kian Bextie escorted out of the legislature at the request of an NDP MLA?
00:01:27.420 Well, Kian will be by to talk about what exactly went down.
00:01:32.440 So, what are the rules when it comes to having sex during the Wuhan virus?
00:01:38.860 Well, thank God we have government bureaucrats to set us straight by publishing pandemic sex advice.
00:01:45.780 Yes, Sheila Gunn-Reed will try to keep a straight face as she delivers the goods on government-endorsed tips pertaining to horizontal jogging.
00:01:55.800 And finally, letters. We get your letters. We get your letters every minute of every day.
00:02:00.080 And I'll share some of your responses regarding our video when we uncovered that
00:02:05.040 A. Many of those tents at the Afro-Indigenous Rising Collective illegally occupying Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto
00:02:12.820 are actually empty.
00:02:15.340 And B. Some of the ringleaders of this group, well, they're not sleeping in those tents.
00:02:20.620 Rather, they're staying at the Swank Sheridan Hotel across the street where rooms start at $277 a night.
00:02:29.460 Yep, it's all one big fat scam, folks.
00:02:33.280 Those are your rebels now. Let's round them up.
00:02:35.540 Well, the NDP weren't happy that I were there, and they called in the Sheriff's Department.
00:02:45.080 I had a badge. The sheriffs actually let me in.
00:02:46.980 They're the ones that supposedly control this space.
00:02:49.200 They gave me a pass to go up to the second floor, and I was there totally illegally.
00:02:53.100 But the NDP said, no.
00:02:54.960 Kian, Bexie, and Rebel News are not allowed here.
00:02:56.540 And the sheriffs, they listened.
00:02:57.840 Does she own the premises?
00:03:00.600 I mean, I'm a journalist. I'm here for a press conference.
00:03:02.680 I got the invitation to come here.
00:03:04.300 And then she told me that I didn't meet certain standards, and she hasn't explained to me what those are.
00:03:08.260 She just wants me to leave.
00:03:09.980 Okay. I'm pushing you. She's telling you to leave because it's a secure area right now.
00:03:13.760 So have you been invited into the building?
00:03:15.720 I have been.
00:03:16.260 Not by us.
00:03:17.340 I have the document, so.
00:03:20.000 Invited in by who?
00:03:21.500 The NDP caucus.
00:03:22.740 That's a release out to media.
00:03:24.960 Okay.
00:03:25.700 Media are invited.
00:03:26.620 Okay. So if you haven't been on the approved list, then I accept the next meeting.
00:03:31.820 Now, I didn't want to raise a fuss.
00:03:33.300 I had more questions to ask both the NDP and the United Conservative Party.
00:03:37.100 So I said, fine.
00:03:38.340 I'll wait on the main floor of this building for members to go to question period.
00:03:42.220 And the sheriff said that was fine.
00:03:44.080 As I sat down there in the main area, they said I could be there and make some calls.
00:03:48.080 It'd be totally legit.
00:03:49.440 It's the second floor that you're referring to.
00:03:52.480 Because I intend to...
00:03:53.620 I intend to...
00:03:54.680 Yeah, if you want to make phone calls and stuff from the lobby of that building, go for it.
00:03:59.720 Sure.
00:03:59.880 Well, that wasn't good enough for the Alberta NDP.
00:04:02.840 So Jeremy and Elias, the chief of staff for Rachel Notley, stalked me through this building,
00:04:07.440 following me around until the sheriffs came to his aid.
00:04:10.880 He had two members of the sheriff's department come and escort me off the property.
00:04:15.160 I said, fine, I'll leave.
00:04:17.140 Don't worry about it.
00:04:17.860 I'm on my way out.
00:04:18.660 And as I did, that wasn't even good enough for the sheriff's department,
00:04:21.760 which apparently responds to the orders of Rachel Notley and the NDP.
00:04:25.520 They pushed me, physically pushed me up the stairs.
00:04:28.120 Watch this.
00:04:28.560 Oh, it's Jeremy.
00:04:31.620 What do you know?
00:04:33.260 So you do take orders from the Alberta NDP.
00:04:35.520 Well, actually, you know, I've been meaning to ask you for some time.
00:04:38.060 Was it you that was with Notley when I got that photo with her outside of Hayden Block?
00:04:41.380 Well, don't push me.
00:04:42.620 Don't push me.
00:04:43.800 I don't care what you have to say.
00:04:45.620 Don't push me.
00:04:46.500 Am I under arrest?
00:04:47.600 If I'm under arrest, you can arrest me.
00:04:48.940 You do not touch me if I'm not under arrest.
00:04:51.960 I've been told to leave and I'm leaving.
00:04:53.740 Do not...
00:04:54.140 Was it you or him?
00:04:55.200 Did you touch him here or was it him?
00:04:56.220 What's your name?
00:04:59.800 Labucci?
00:05:00.740 Was it you that touched me?
00:05:02.380 Yes.
00:05:02.900 It was you.
00:05:03.680 Okay, perfect.
00:05:05.000 And what's your name?
00:05:06.100 What's your...
00:05:06.660 Constable Sargent?
00:05:10.420 Please explain to me.
00:05:11.640 Why did you put your hands on me?
00:05:13.160 Because you were asked to...
00:05:14.720 Because the Alberta NDP asked you to?
00:05:17.300 That is exactly what is happening here.
00:05:19.840 And you know that's what happened.
00:05:22.500 No, I'm not sure what my camera caught,
00:05:24.000 but you could certainly hear him admit that.
00:05:26.040 Yeah, that was me who pushed you, Kian.
00:05:27.920 Was it you that touched me?
00:05:29.380 Yes.
00:05:29.940 It was you.
00:05:30.720 Okay, perfect.
00:05:31.820 Now, I'm surprised he admitted that.
00:05:33.660 Officers shouldn't be laying hands on anyone
00:05:35.880 unless they're arresting someone.
00:05:37.540 That is assault.
00:05:38.920 And the NDP specifically,
00:05:40.660 Jeremy and Elias,
00:05:41.520 had the sheriffs do that.
00:05:43.360 Wow, can you believe that footage, folks?
00:05:45.720 I thought there was regime change in Alberta.
00:05:50.080 I thought rebel reporters didn't have to worry about NDP types
00:05:55.300 booting us out of the legislature.
00:05:57.020 But, wow, what a sad sight that was.
00:06:01.180 And joining me right now is Kian Bexty,
00:06:04.760 indeed the individual who was given the bums rush out of the legislature.
00:06:09.280 Kian, like I said, I thought there was regime change,
00:06:11.260 or is this a case of, to quote the who,
00:06:14.060 meet the new boss same as the old boss?
00:06:17.760 Yeah, Ezra used a good word, defenestrate.
00:06:20.600 And the NDP were defenestrated by Albertans just a few,
00:06:25.360 over a year ago now.
00:06:27.280 And Jason Kenney is running the show here, allegedly.
00:06:29.540 But it seems like the sheriffs here have some loyalty
00:06:32.440 to the Alberta NDP caucus, which I find surprising.
00:06:36.760 I find it insulting that the opposition is allowed
00:06:39.260 to determine which media are allowed in.
00:06:41.740 Frankly, the government shouldn't be allowed
00:06:43.540 to determine what media is allowed in
00:06:45.260 and what media is not allowed in.
00:06:46.880 But that's the situation we found ourselves in yesterday
00:06:49.480 when the NDP, their chief of staff
00:06:52.260 and their director of communications,
00:06:54.120 colluded with the sheriffs to kick me out of the legislature,
00:06:58.480 even though I had permission explicitly and on camera to be there.
00:07:02.680 You know, Kian, what is the deal with these sheriffs exactly?
00:07:06.600 I mean, are they suffering from Stockholm Syndrome?
00:07:08.760 And I mean, it's not just the ones at the Alberta legislature.
00:07:11.820 I remember you and Sheila running into similar nonsense
00:07:14.780 covering the Jonathan Yaniv trial,
00:07:17.780 where the sheriff actually quoted legislation
00:07:22.620 that did not exist to kick you out of a public courtroom.
00:07:27.380 What's going on?
00:07:29.380 Yeah, we've had bad luck with sheriffs
00:07:31.360 in every single province they're in.
00:07:34.060 There was a few whispers that maybe the sheriffs would be,
00:07:37.420 and I don't know how up-to-date you are
00:07:38.800 on the story of Alberta replacing the RCMP
00:07:41.600 with a provincial police force.
00:07:42.980 Some suggested that that police force
00:07:44.940 that goes province-wide should be the sheriff's.
00:07:47.000 But in my experience with them,
00:07:48.560 God, that would be the worst-case scenario.
00:07:50.720 I'd rather the RCMP.
00:07:52.180 At least the RCMP aren't the ones.
00:07:53.480 Well, actually, I suppose they were.
00:07:54.940 It was the RCMP that threw me out of Justin Trudeau's home as well.
00:07:58.660 I just have bad histories with police forces.
00:08:02.400 They just seem to be exercising power
00:08:03.880 that they don't actually have.
00:08:05.860 And it's quite unfair.
00:08:06.900 I really hope for a new Alberta police force
00:08:09.060 that doesn't have the tarnished and sad history
00:08:13.040 that the rest of these guys have.
00:08:15.660 Well, Kian, don't take it personally.
00:08:17.320 I got tackled and handcuffed by the RCMP
00:08:19.860 at an Andrew Scheer campaign stop last October.
00:08:24.200 So it's pretty consistent across the board.
00:08:27.740 But hope abounds.
00:08:29.560 I understand you've had discussions
00:08:31.480 with the Minister of Infrastructure, I believe,
00:08:33.500 and this kind of nonsense might be coming to an end?
00:08:37.960 Let's hope.
00:08:39.060 I spoke with Prasad Panda.
00:08:40.780 I cornered him, like I have to do with everyone,
00:08:42.660 because I'm not allowed in the legislature.
00:08:44.600 I cornered him outside of the legislature
00:08:46.560 as he was leaving for the night.
00:08:48.500 And I asked him very straightforward questions.
00:08:51.640 Should Rebel News be in the press gallery?
00:08:53.960 Should the press gallery be replaced
00:08:56.380 by the independent press gallery?
00:08:58.320 You know, Pam, that's Malcolm's new venture,
00:08:59.800 the one that says anyone's welcome
00:09:01.520 as long as you don't take money from the government,
00:09:03.920 which pretty much rules out about 75% of the media.
00:09:09.380 So Prasad, to my surprise, said, yeah.
00:09:13.960 He said he was an old Wild Rose candidate,
00:09:16.440 so I should know that he would support something like that,
00:09:20.120 which I found very reassuring.
00:09:23.240 I don't know if you know much about the Wild Rose Party,
00:09:25.700 but it was probably the most conservative party
00:09:29.920 that Canada has seen in a generation,
00:09:34.480 more conservative than the Reform Party was.
00:09:37.200 And he was a former MLA for them,
00:09:40.920 a former candidate, and then became a UCP member,
00:09:43.460 and then the Minister of Infrastructure.
00:09:44.900 And now he has control over these grounds
00:09:46.540 that I'm standing in right now.
00:09:48.180 So I'm very excited to hear that he's such
00:09:50.560 a free speech-oriented Minister of Infrastructure,
00:09:53.100 although I just do find it so strange
00:09:55.680 that the Minister of Infrastructure
00:09:57.180 is the one in charge of media in Alberta.
00:10:00.280 It seems like a Soviet thing,
00:10:01.820 like in the USSR,
00:10:04.200 report to the Minister of Infrastructure
00:10:05.680 for your media credentials.
00:10:06.940 It seems very strange to think.
00:10:08.600 But that's just how the parts have fallen here
00:10:10.380 on the legislature grounds.
00:10:12.440 Yeah, that is odd.
00:10:13.500 Ministry of Infrastructure responsible for media.
00:10:16.500 Kian, exit question.
00:10:17.560 I am so excited about this
00:10:20.700 Independent Press Gallery initiative.
00:10:23.940 You know, Candace Malcolm of True North
00:10:26.180 is behind this as well.
00:10:27.940 And as you said,
00:10:28.520 it's for independent, non-government-funded journalists
00:10:30.800 because the Parliamentary Press Gallery,
00:10:33.380 as you and I and everyone else knows,
00:10:35.320 is an old boys club.
00:10:37.240 And it's a closed club.
00:10:38.840 It's, you know, members only.
00:10:41.540 And for whatever reason,
00:10:43.300 we don't qualify as membership.
00:10:45.120 Here's my crystal ball question for you.
00:10:47.200 Once we get the Independent Press Group,
00:10:49.820 Independent Press Gallery, rather,
00:10:51.360 up and running,
00:10:52.640 do you foresee some kind of red-herring,
00:10:57.880 bogus BS reason why it won't be recognized?
00:11:01.320 Or are we finally going to get into
00:11:03.400 government press conferences?
00:11:06.940 Well, David,
00:11:08.500 it depends who's running the press conferences.
00:11:10.840 Here in Alberta,
00:11:11.640 I would predict that the press gallery,
00:11:15.440 the Independent Press Gallery,
00:11:16.720 would be welcomed with open arms.
00:11:18.680 That's what Prasad Panda just said yesterday.
00:11:20.880 When it comes to Ottawa,
00:11:21.940 there's very official rules and relationships
00:11:25.920 between the crony press gallery,
00:11:28.400 the one that's operated by Justin Trudeau's office,
00:11:31.140 and the speaker's office in Ottawa.
00:11:32.920 That relationship doesn't exist here in Alberta
00:11:34.620 and a few other provinces.
00:11:36.300 So we'll see how the IPG responds.
00:11:38.500 I know that there's tons of journalists
00:11:40.220 interested in the IPG to join it.
00:11:42.040 It will be a powerful force
00:11:43.820 because not only will Spencer Fernando
00:11:46.320 in Winnipeg join it,
00:11:48.000 and myself and Sheila here in Alberta,
00:11:50.660 there will be reporters in British Columbia,
00:11:54.500 maybe even Aaron Gunn with AaronGunn.ca,
00:11:57.880 and many others who are going to be very interested
00:12:00.180 in being in the IPG
00:12:01.540 and being interested in being in government press conferences.
00:12:04.360 So we'll see how many provinces we can get into
00:12:06.560 before Ottawa has to bend the knee
00:12:09.460 and say, yeah, I suppose you deserve to be here
00:12:11.720 as much as anyone in the CBC.
00:12:14.380 Well, we do have freedom of speech,
00:12:16.180 and we do have freedom of the press
00:12:17.760 and freedom of expression in this country still.
00:12:20.100 They should let us in.
00:12:21.800 All we're doing is asking questions.
00:12:24.200 And hey, if they don't like the questions,
00:12:26.180 they can always opt for plan B,
00:12:28.460 run away and lock themselves in the bathroom,
00:12:31.280 a.k.a. the Peter McKay strategy.
00:12:33.840 Kian, thank you so much
00:12:36.040 and continued good luck
00:12:37.620 in your struggles to get
00:12:39.720 some of these elected officials on camera.
00:12:43.600 Thanks, David.
00:12:44.460 You got it.
00:12:45.140 And that was Kian Bextie in Edmonton.
00:12:47.720 Keep it here, folks.
00:12:48.700 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.
00:12:51.040 But seriously, friends, look at this
00:12:57.660 from the I swear to God
00:12:59.340 legitimate city of Toronto website.
00:13:02.440 Save for sex during COVID-19.
00:13:04.400 Honestly, I'm already uncomfortable and grossed out
00:13:07.460 and I can't believe I'm going to read these things
00:13:09.900 in a YouTube video, but here we are.
00:13:13.280 Let's read this together.
00:13:14.860 And this is definitely not safe for work
00:13:16.760 or for little ones, so chase them out
00:13:18.740 and also maybe consider deleting
00:13:21.160 your browser history after this one.
00:13:23.900 Consensual sex can be a way of dealing
00:13:26.360 with anxiety or fulfilling
00:13:28.480 and expressing our needs for intimacy.
00:13:32.180 It can also be pleasurable
00:13:33.560 and help pass the time when isolated indoors.
00:13:37.460 But is it safe to have sex during COVID-19?
00:13:40.760 Sexual contact with new partners
00:13:42.180 or persons who are not in the same household
00:13:44.440 is not recommended at this time.
00:13:47.040 Safer sexual practices may prevent
00:13:49.860 unintended pregnancy and STIs,
00:13:52.540 but it will not prevent infection from COVID-19.
00:13:55.340 COVID-19 can spread through close physical contact.
00:13:59.400 Reduce the spread of COVID-19 and still enjoy sex.
00:14:03.200 Your safest sex partner during the COVID-19 pandemic
00:14:06.780 is yourself.
00:14:08.460 Consensual sexting, virtual sex, video dating, or chat rooms.
00:14:12.660 Have a consensual partner that you are living with
00:14:15.500 in the same household.
00:14:17.240 Do you mean marriage?
00:14:19.040 If you usually meet sex partners online,
00:14:21.920 are polyamorous with people
00:14:23.700 who are not living in the same house,
00:14:25.580 or make a living having sex,
00:14:28.960 consider video dates, sexting, or chat rooms
00:14:32.240 instead of meeting people in person.
00:14:34.320 Protect yourself when having sex.
00:14:37.520 Wash your hands before and after having sex,
00:14:41.220 whether alone or with a partner.
00:14:44.280 Use condoms or a glove or condom cut open
00:14:47.980 to reduce contact during oral or anal sex.
00:14:51.480 Oh my God.
00:14:52.680 Use condoms to protect from sexually transmitted infections.
00:14:56.140 Clean sex toys and consider covering them with a condom.
00:14:59.900 Do not share sex toys with others.
00:15:01.940 Avoid kissing and having sex with a partner.
00:15:04.960 If feeling unwell or if you have COVID-19,
00:15:08.440 just avoid it.
00:15:09.280 Well, there you have it, folks,
00:15:10.740 from the Brainiacs at the City of Toronto.
00:15:14.260 The safest sex partner you can court
00:15:16.940 during these dark days of the Wuhan virus is,
00:15:19.900 well, yourself.
00:15:22.520 Oh, and whatever you do,
00:15:24.020 do not share your sex toys.
00:15:27.280 Can I just say at this point
00:15:28.620 that I don't have any sex toys,
00:15:31.180 although I remember someone once telling me
00:15:33.600 to shove my vintage Batmobile
00:15:35.760 up the tradesman's entrance.
00:15:37.480 Does that count?
00:15:39.260 And with more on this tale of Wuhan virus sex tips
00:15:43.940 by the likes of City Hall in Toronto
00:15:46.120 and Dr. Teresa Tam in Ottawa
00:15:48.140 is Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:15:50.080 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, my friend.
00:15:52.560 Hey, David.
00:15:53.300 Thanks for having me on this show.
00:15:55.560 Sheila, but two things.
00:15:57.440 I want the city to pave the roads.
00:16:00.400 I want them to pick up the trash.
00:16:02.040 I want them to supply clean water.
00:16:04.640 I don't want tutorials from them
00:16:06.920 on how to have sex during a global pandemic.
00:16:09.940 And another thing,
00:16:11.100 isn't it amazing to you, Sheila,
00:16:12.780 that only bureaucrats can make sex tips
00:16:16.680 sound so unsexy?
00:16:18.900 You know, Jesus, take the wheel.
00:16:23.320 I just...
00:16:25.360 You know, when you look at the website,
00:16:27.780 they have an entire webpage dedicated to this,
00:16:31.260 these sex tips.
00:16:32.760 And yeah, they range from washing your hands
00:16:36.040 to not sharing your sex toys,
00:16:38.240 which I can't even believe I'm saying
00:16:40.140 right now on camera.
00:16:43.040 Like, and that's what I thought the whole time
00:16:44.360 that I was making this video.
00:16:45.300 I literally cannot believe that I am saying
00:16:47.780 these things on a YouTube video,
00:16:49.480 but here I am.
00:16:50.440 Life has taken us funny places.
00:16:52.280 But somebody created that website
00:16:55.580 and dug up all the information on the website
00:16:59.220 and actually thought that people needed
00:17:01.280 that information on the website
00:17:03.360 so that they could best enjoy sex
00:17:06.900 with total strangers during a global pandemic.
00:17:10.880 At the same time,
00:17:11.740 the city is scolding families
00:17:13.660 for doing wholesome things
00:17:15.100 like going out and rollerblading with their kids.
00:17:16.940 Those people are getting tickets.
00:17:18.780 And there's an entire City of Toronto website,
00:17:22.940 like, honest to God,
00:17:24.240 City of Toronto website
00:17:25.340 dedicated to giving sex tips
00:17:28.280 during a pandemic.
00:17:30.300 Like, society has gone
00:17:32.220 to a very strange and crazy place.
00:17:35.260 You know, it's amazing.
00:17:36.500 You know what I found
00:17:37.320 sort of perversely ironic too, Sheila?
00:17:39.460 They keep stressing the word consensual.
00:17:43.180 Consensual.
00:17:43.840 Well, of course.
00:17:44.900 I mean, if it's not consensual,
00:17:46.420 it's a crime.
00:17:47.020 But isn't it kind of funny right now
00:17:48.740 on City Hall,
00:17:50.020 there is a non-consensual occupation
00:17:53.020 by the forces of Afro-Indigenous Rising,
00:17:56.120 whatever that is.
00:17:57.320 And they're not obeying the law
00:17:58.940 and the city's not enforcing the law.
00:18:01.360 Yet they seem so concerned
00:18:04.740 about telling adults
00:18:07.260 how to have sex in a pandemic.
00:18:09.440 Why do they think
00:18:10.340 this is their role to begin with?
00:18:13.260 Because the journalists
00:18:14.220 are asking them about it, I think.
00:18:17.740 Because the journalists
00:18:18.920 actually think that people care
00:18:21.120 or want this information.
00:18:22.800 Like, if you...
00:18:23.580 In my video,
00:18:25.020 I started off with a clip
00:18:26.420 of a journalist
00:18:27.140 asking Teresa Tam about,
00:18:30.260 I guess, dating.
00:18:32.040 But it was more like hooking up.
00:18:33.580 And it was a strange thing
00:18:35.020 to watch Teresa Tam,
00:18:36.660 who I don't think
00:18:37.480 that's on her radar,
00:18:39.340 struggle to answer the question.
00:18:42.880 She prefaced by saying
00:18:44.300 she's not a dating expert.
00:18:46.180 Well, heck, neither am I.
00:18:48.860 But the journalists actually think
00:18:51.560 people want this information.
00:18:52.740 That this is what's a pressing issue.
00:18:54.720 When, you know,
00:18:55.560 probably unemployment
00:18:57.360 is close to 30%.
00:18:58.640 People's businesses
00:18:59.980 are getting nuked every day.
00:19:01.620 They can't stay closed any longer.
00:19:03.580 Normal people are getting tickets
00:19:05.140 for going to the beach.
00:19:06.960 And we have journalists
00:19:08.120 in this country,
00:19:09.240 the pre-approved journalists,
00:19:10.600 by the way,
00:19:10.980 because we can't get into
00:19:12.020 these press conferences
00:19:12.880 to ask real questions like,
00:19:14.960 why are you still working
00:19:16.240 for the World Health Organization,
00:19:17.840 Teresa Tam?
00:19:18.380 No, we have the pre-approved
00:19:20.340 mainstream media journalists
00:19:21.780 asking about dating.
00:19:23.180 So, of course,
00:19:23.840 the government thinks
00:19:24.560 that people care about this stuff
00:19:26.040 because the journalists
00:19:26.840 are asking about this stuff.
00:19:28.040 And neither one of those
00:19:29.680 two parties actually
00:19:30.720 talks to normal people.
00:19:32.660 Yeah, you know,
00:19:33.060 you're right, Sheila.
00:19:34.720 And you mentioned that
00:19:36.220 in fairness,
00:19:37.220 Dr. Teresa Tam
00:19:38.520 prefaced her speech
00:19:40.720 about sex tips
00:19:41.680 by saying
00:19:42.400 she's not a dating expert.
00:19:44.380 Oh, you think?
00:19:45.140 But I mean,
00:19:45.580 really,
00:19:45.980 what was that journalist thinking?
00:19:47.180 This is the chief
00:19:48.160 medical health officer,
00:19:49.340 not Xavier Hollander.
00:19:50.980 I mean,
00:19:51.900 you know,
00:19:52.480 goodness gracious
00:19:53.480 when it comes to,
00:19:55.180 and you touch upon this
00:19:56.800 in your video
00:19:57.380 about tips for prostitution
00:20:01.100 or what do they call it now?
00:20:03.080 The sex trade,
00:20:04.060 I guess,
00:20:04.420 is the politically correct word.
00:20:05.820 Well, I mean,
00:20:06.880 prostitution is the second oldest
00:20:09.440 business on the planet.
00:20:12.660 People call it the oldest,
00:20:14.520 but it's not.
00:20:15.380 That would be agriculture
00:20:16.640 and hunting
00:20:17.160 because you've got to eat.
00:20:18.560 That comes first
00:20:19.640 in the hierarchy of needs.
00:20:21.240 Sex later.
00:20:22.360 And again,
00:20:23.860 it's like,
00:20:25.200 can't we figure this out
00:20:26.900 on our own?
00:20:28.320 We're adults after all.
00:20:30.300 And why are you asking people
00:20:32.220 that presumably
00:20:33.380 have better things to do,
00:20:35.480 including Dr. Tam?
00:20:38.580 Well, yeah,
00:20:39.640 I mean,
00:20:40.280 agriculture was first
00:20:42.320 and hunting was first.
00:20:43.400 You've got to keep your energy up
00:20:44.720 if you're going to go
00:20:45.360 into prostitution.
00:20:46.480 But, um...
00:20:47.460 Sheila, you have to say
00:20:50.180 don't ask me
00:20:50.760 how I know this,
00:20:51.580 but anyways,
00:20:52.340 go ahead.
00:20:52.580 I'm just assuming
00:20:53.440 people require
00:20:55.300 a certain energy level
00:20:56.440 for that job,
00:20:57.360 job,
00:20:57.880 they call it now.
00:20:59.060 But yeah,
00:20:59.760 I mean,
00:21:00.000 it's weird.
00:21:00.700 The media, though,
00:21:01.680 they've been all over
00:21:02.500 this sort of stuff
00:21:03.600 from the beginning,
00:21:04.400 and it's very strange.
00:21:05.580 Like, in my story,
00:21:06.900 I dug up how CBC
00:21:09.520 was kind of lamenting
00:21:11.320 who were leaving
00:21:12.780 the sex trade
00:21:13.780 out of CERB.
00:21:15.540 And...
00:21:15.860 And so,
00:21:18.980 they...
00:21:19.580 Because now,
00:21:20.600 because of the coronavirus,
00:21:22.320 the coronavirus,
00:21:23.460 of all things,
00:21:24.760 the prostitutes
00:21:25.620 don't want to work,
00:21:26.500 and the Johns
00:21:27.300 are worried about
00:21:28.160 contracting
00:21:28.740 the coronavirus.
00:21:30.080 And for me,
00:21:32.260 I was like,
00:21:32.800 have the media
00:21:33.500 really blown
00:21:34.340 the coronavirus
00:21:35.480 out of proportion
00:21:37.660 so far
00:21:39.480 that now
00:21:40.300 the Johns
00:21:40.960 and the prostitutes
00:21:42.180 are more worried
00:21:43.100 about the coronavirus
00:21:44.020 than AIDS,
00:21:45.820 gonorrhea,
00:21:46.440 herpes,
00:21:47.040 syphilis,
00:21:48.020 and serial killers?
00:21:49.720 Because I think
00:21:51.060 that's the case now.
00:21:52.580 None of those other things
00:21:53.640 made the hooker
00:21:54.720 stay home,
00:21:56.240 but the coronavirus is,
00:21:58.140 which only speaks
00:21:59.060 to just how much
00:22:00.720 the media has amplified
00:22:02.280 how bad this virus
00:22:04.740 is or isn't.
00:22:05.900 No, you're so right,
00:22:07.220 Sheila,
00:22:07.660 and, I mean,
00:22:08.540 and we do know
00:22:09.340 that if you're young
00:22:10.080 and healthy,
00:22:11.100 you have,
00:22:12.460 what is it,
00:22:13.080 a six times higher chance
00:22:15.200 of getting killed
00:22:16.060 crossing the street
00:22:17.020 than you do
00:22:17.980 of dying with the,
00:22:19.040 dying of the Wuhan virus.
00:22:20.620 Anyways,
00:22:21.060 what bizarre times
00:22:22.260 we're living in
00:22:23.360 and the fear-mongering,
00:22:25.160 I fear,
00:22:25.980 does latch on.
00:22:27.180 As a matter of fact,
00:22:27.700 last night,
00:22:28.520 I tried to hug
00:22:29.720 Lady Menzoid
00:22:30.720 and she said,
00:22:31.400 can we do it virtually?
00:22:33.280 Yeah, you know,
00:22:34.420 you win some,
00:22:36.480 you lose some
00:22:37.120 with the fear-mongering,
00:22:38.200 I guess,
00:22:38.600 don't you?
00:22:40.280 I hate this new normal.
00:22:42.100 Sheila,
00:22:42.360 we gotta wrap it here
00:22:43.220 before I get into
00:22:43.940 real trouble.
00:22:45.460 Yeah.
00:22:45.840 Thank you again
00:22:46.700 for one of the most
00:22:48.120 bizarre sidebar stories
00:22:50.200 of the Wuhan virus
00:22:51.660 in 2020 to date.
00:22:53.600 It is so unintentionally funny.
00:22:56.160 I hope all our viewers,
00:22:58.080 if they haven't seen
00:22:58.680 your commentary,
00:22:59.680 will flock to it now
00:23:00.780 and see it in its entirety.
00:23:02.220 Thank you so much.
00:23:03.680 Thanks, David.
00:23:04.220 Have a great weekend.
00:23:05.000 You too.
00:23:05.540 And that is Sheila Gunn-Reed
00:23:07.260 somewhere in the
00:23:08.140 northern hinterland
00:23:09.200 of Alberta.
00:23:11.120 Keep it here, folks.
00:23:11.840 We'll be back
00:23:12.800 right after this.
00:23:13.660 As we observed
00:23:20.020 in our 12-hour stay
00:23:22.280 at the square
00:23:23.160 on Monday,
00:23:25.040 almost all
00:23:25.920 of those tents
00:23:26.820 that you see
00:23:27.920 in that so-called
00:23:28.980 sacred circle
00:23:29.780 are empty.
00:23:30.620 In fact,
00:23:31.340 a couple of tents
00:23:32.220 actually blew away.
00:23:33.280 There's literally
00:23:33.760 nothing in them
00:23:34.920 and they had to be
00:23:35.740 brought back
00:23:36.240 to the circle.
00:23:37.400 The ringleaders
00:23:38.000 are based in the
00:23:38.960 major big tents.
00:23:40.700 That's where I believe
00:23:42.040 the cooking equipment
00:23:43.240 is and whatnot.
00:23:45.060 And yes,
00:23:45.880 they were told
00:23:46.380 on Friday
00:23:47.020 they were found
00:23:49.020 guilty of,
00:23:50.260 I believe,
00:23:51.020 11 sections
00:23:52.200 of the Trespass Act
00:23:53.380 and they were
00:23:54.780 supposed to leave
00:23:55.740 today, Monday,
00:23:57.560 but, well,
00:23:59.340 the devil's in the details,
00:24:00.520 isn't it, folks?
00:24:01.100 Because the language
00:24:01.940 of the trespass notice
00:24:03.140 was the city
00:24:04.700 may evict them,
00:24:06.000 not will evict them.
00:24:07.100 So let's take a look
00:24:07.880 at this footage.
00:24:09.020 We're going to
00:24:09.780 the Sheridan Hotel
00:24:10.760 really just to get
00:24:11.760 away from this mob
00:24:12.740 and there is a lady
00:24:14.920 who is following us
00:24:16.060 and she said
00:24:17.580 something astonishing.
00:24:18.780 Basically,
00:24:19.940 she's going to
00:24:20.740 the Sheridan Hotel
00:24:22.240 as well,
00:24:22.920 not to harass us,
00:24:24.260 but because she's
00:24:25.820 a registered guest.
00:24:27.080 She even took out
00:24:28.140 her key card
00:24:29.300 and showed it to us.
00:24:30.920 Check it out.
00:24:31.520 So isn't that interesting?
00:24:50.180 I mean,
00:24:50.560 here's this group.
00:24:51.940 They're all about
00:24:52.560 anarchy.
00:24:53.500 They're all about
00:24:54.120 systemic racism.
00:24:55.660 They're all
00:24:56.120 anti-capitalists
00:24:57.360 and about tearing
00:24:58.300 things down.
00:24:59.020 But when it comes
00:25:00.260 to the ringleaders
00:25:01.140 of Afro-Indigenous Rising,
00:25:03.600 you think they're
00:25:05.100 staying outside
00:25:06.360 overnight in this
00:25:07.420 humidity in a tent
00:25:09.400 with no plumbing?
00:25:10.420 No,
00:25:10.680 they're going to
00:25:11.460 the Sheridan Hotel
00:25:12.780 where the average room
00:25:14.380 is over $200 a night.
00:25:16.220 You know,
00:25:16.640 it is incredible.
00:25:17.840 We saw this exact
00:25:19.080 same phenomena
00:25:19.980 back in the days
00:25:21.360 when Ezra and I
00:25:22.340 were at Sun News Network,
00:25:23.920 the tent city
00:25:26.080 at St. James Park
00:25:27.820 for the protest
00:25:30.520 of the day then.
00:25:32.220 That we proved
00:25:33.200 with an infrared camera
00:25:34.360 that the vast majority
00:25:35.940 of the tents
00:25:36.480 were empty
00:25:37.020 and they were staying
00:25:38.080 mostly at the Holiday Inn
00:25:39.620 down the road.
00:25:40.580 And then in February,
00:25:41.640 you may recall,
00:25:42.420 I went to Ottawa.
00:25:43.360 Remember Ann Cognito,
00:25:44.700 not her real name?
00:25:45.820 She allegedly walked
00:25:46.800 from Calgary to Ottawa
00:25:48.020 and set up a filthy tent city
00:25:50.560 at the War Memorial
00:25:51.760 in Ottawa
00:25:52.340 in order to get
00:25:53.620 a meeting
00:25:54.140 with Prime Minister
00:25:55.240 Justin Trudeau
00:25:56.100 whose office
00:25:56.700 was across the street.
00:25:57.940 Well,
00:25:58.360 I went to call in her
00:25:59.620 in the wee hours
00:26:01.340 of the evening
00:26:02.460 and here's what
00:26:04.760 we found
00:26:05.680 back in February.
00:26:07.080 Hi,
00:26:07.840 we're just,
00:26:08.580 we're just seeing
00:26:10.760 if there's anybody
00:26:11.520 in this encampment
00:26:12.720 and we've gone to
00:26:14.740 one,
00:26:15.160 two,
00:26:15.440 three,
00:26:15.700 four,
00:26:15.980 five tents so far.
00:26:18.400 Is there someone
00:26:20.980 in this tent here?
00:26:22.340 We seem to be
00:26:24.140 talking to someone
00:26:25.140 so I guess
00:26:25.700 the answer would be yes.
00:26:27.680 Absolutely,
00:26:28.400 okay.
00:26:29.080 Would this be
00:26:29.840 Ann Cognito?
00:26:31.060 Who are you?
00:26:32.040 I'm David Menzies
00:26:33.140 with Rebel News.
00:26:33.980 I think we met
00:26:34.480 a couple months ago.
00:26:35.620 Okay, goodbye.
00:26:36.560 Well,
00:26:36.980 there you have it folks.
00:26:38.100 Fake,
00:26:38.620 fraudulent and phony.
00:26:39.880 The Afro-Indigenous
00:26:41.000 Rising Collective
00:26:41.900 is really akin
00:26:42.900 to the old
00:26:43.500 Pontiac Fiero.
00:26:45.140 All show
00:26:45.740 and no go.
00:26:47.260 So,
00:26:47.680 why is Mayor
00:26:48.480 John Tory
00:26:49.180 continuing to
00:26:50.240 negotiate
00:26:51.080 with these
00:26:52.080 flim-flam
00:26:52.860 Antifa types
00:26:53.720 when they've
00:26:54.720 already been served
00:26:55.880 with trespass notices?
00:26:57.920 Oh yeah,
00:26:58.400 I almost forgot
00:26:59.160 the mayor
00:26:59.880 is still
00:27:00.400 testicular challenge
00:27:01.680 so the entire city
00:27:03.440 and its law-abiding
00:27:04.920 citizens
00:27:05.560 must suffer
00:27:06.900 in the meantime.
00:27:08.420 What an incredibly
00:27:09.560 bad joke.
00:27:11.420 In any event,
00:27:12.060 you had much to say
00:27:13.020 about this
00:27:13.540 phony baloney
00:27:14.240 con game
00:27:14.880 being played out
00:27:15.700 at Hogtown City Hall
00:27:17.160 so let's get right
00:27:18.440 to it.
00:27:19.320 Liberty or Death
00:27:20.300 writes,
00:27:21.200 it was obvious
00:27:21.860 from the beginning
00:27:22.480 everything is fake.
00:27:23.660 Fake virus,
00:27:24.360 fake orders,
00:27:25.000 fake people,
00:27:25.940 fake political
00:27:26.700 movements.
00:27:27.880 Yes,
00:27:28.200 Liberty or Death,
00:27:29.280 it's a scam
00:27:30.460 so the question is
00:27:31.780 why are the powers
00:27:33.240 that be
00:27:34.040 tolerating
00:27:35.220 this utter nonsense?
00:27:37.720 Cottage Country
00:27:38.600 Bruce writes,
00:27:39.960 Toronto is a dangerous
00:27:41.160 place to be avoided.
00:27:42.860 You know,
00:27:43.100 I'll say this Bruce,
00:27:44.480 this is not
00:27:45.440 the Toronto
00:27:46.140 of my youth.
00:27:47.160 This is not
00:27:48.060 the Toronto
00:27:48.640 that I once
00:27:49.480 loved so much
00:27:50.340 and it doesn't
00:27:51.220 have to be this way
00:27:52.260 but unfortunately
00:27:53.620 we have too many
00:27:55.180 gutless political
00:27:56.380 leaders that
00:27:57.460 suffer from
00:27:58.140 paralysis by analysis
00:27:59.540 thanks to
00:28:00.940 political correctness.
00:28:03.400 Love is the answer
00:28:04.100 writes,
00:28:04.900 don't be surprised
00:28:05.720 if somehow
00:28:06.320 our taxes
00:28:07.200 are paying for this.
00:28:08.340 You know,
00:28:08.560 good point,
00:28:09.300 Love is the answer.
00:28:10.260 So many of these
00:28:11.320 professional protesters
00:28:12.540 are unemployed
00:28:14.040 and unemployable.
00:28:15.880 I wonder how many
00:28:17.360 are taking advantage
00:28:18.340 of the CERB
00:28:19.140 in order to stay
00:28:20.120 at swank
00:28:21.160 downtown Toronto
00:28:22.200 hotels.
00:28:23.780 Terrence Appleby
00:28:24.660 writes,
00:28:25.660 let's call it
00:28:26.380 what it is,
00:28:27.260 astroturfing,
00:28:28.440 the attempt to
00:28:29.120 create an impression
00:28:30.140 of widespread
00:28:31.240 grassroots support
00:28:32.520 for a policy,
00:28:34.040 individual or product
00:28:35.280 where little
00:28:36.280 such support
00:28:37.540 exists.
00:28:38.540 You know,
00:28:38.900 Terrence,
00:28:39.280 that is exactly
00:28:40.460 what it is.
00:28:41.180 They want you
00:28:42.460 to think this
00:28:43.220 is a movement.
00:28:45.360 It's nothing
00:28:45.840 but a scam.
00:28:47.580 Chris B.
00:28:48.080 writes,
00:28:48.520 Afro-indigenous,
00:28:49.640 what is this
00:28:50.440 even supposed
00:28:51.140 to mean?
00:28:52.160 An acknowledgement
00:28:52.840 that they are
00:28:53.580 in the wrong
00:28:54.040 country?
00:28:54.740 Hey,
00:28:55.080 let's not forget
00:28:55.940 that a big chunk
00:28:56.900 of these protesters
00:28:58.200 are as white
00:28:59.240 as Snow White,
00:29:00.660 but I guess
00:29:01.320 those Caucasians
00:29:02.660 identify as being
00:29:04.540 Afro-indigenous
00:29:05.440 because,
00:29:05.960 hey,
00:29:06.660 that's how the
00:29:07.660 loony left
00:29:08.380 rolls these days,
00:29:09.340 folks.
00:29:09.620 And Brad Zemla
00:29:11.820 writes,
00:29:12.700 Rebel,
00:29:13.140 you should dig
00:29:13.660 deeper.
00:29:14.440 This seems
00:29:14.900 very suspicious
00:29:15.680 and seems like
00:29:17.000 those protesters
00:29:18.060 were being funded
00:29:19.380 if they can afford
00:29:20.760 $200 a night
00:29:22.180 hotels and tents
00:29:24.160 that are empty.
00:29:25.160 I totally agree,
00:29:26.640 Brad.
00:29:27.520 With every story,
00:29:28.640 the golden rule
00:29:29.420 is to follow the money.
00:29:31.180 Someone or some
00:29:32.460 organization
00:29:33.200 with deep pockets
00:29:34.320 is funding
00:29:35.520 these lunatics.
00:29:36.940 Hopefully,
00:29:37.740 we can connect
00:29:38.520 those dots
00:29:39.280 in the weeks
00:29:40.160 to come.
00:29:40.980 Well,
00:29:41.440 that wraps up
00:29:42.160 another edition
00:29:42.780 of Rebel Roundup.
00:29:43.720 Thanks so much
00:29:44.180 for joining us.
00:29:45.080 See you next week.
00:29:46.020 And hey,
00:29:46.360 folks,
00:29:46.740 never forget,
00:29:47.920 without risk,
00:29:48.860 there can be
00:29:49.300 no glory.
00:29:50.240 Good night.
00:29:51.400 good night.
00:29:51.980 Have a good night.
00:29:56.520 Bye.
00:29:57.200 Bye.
00:29:57.680 Bye.
00:29:58.520 Bye.

00:30:05.960 Bye.
00:30:06.560 Bye.
00:30:07.280 Bye.
00:30:07.780 Thank you.
