Rebel News Podcast - SHEILA GUNN REID ｜ Battle stories from the war on parents with David Menzies

00:00:00.000 What the heck is going on in school boards across the country, but particularly in Ontario,

00:00:05.280 I went to Ottawa to see for myself. I'm Sheila Gunn-Reed and you're watching The Gunn Show.

00:00:09.540 Ms. Kaplan-Murk? Hi, you were going to read with Rebel News. I just wanted to-

00:00:32.280 No, don't. No, you will back off. You will back off right now.

00:00:37.500 I'm trying to give you a petition with HLC. You will back off. You will back off.

00:00:42.000 No, you may not come in. You may not come in. You do not have permission to come in.

00:00:48.000 That door is closed. You may not-

00:00:52.500 Wow.

00:00:56.500 Can we have a security guard here?

00:00:58.500 Thank you. Perfect. Thank you.

00:01:00.500 So, Heather. Heather. Ms. Schnellman's with CTV. Good guy. Hello. Good guy.

00:01:06.500 Good guy.

00:01:07.500 So, CTV can go in? Why can CTV go in, but we can't?

00:01:13.000 You said he was a good guy?

00:01:14.000 That's a video of my visit to the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.

00:01:19.000 You see, I went there to give 8,000 signatures to a school board trustee named Nillie Kaplan-Murth.

00:01:26.000 Nillie Kaplan-Murth first came to national prominence when she was a COVID hysteric doctor who did media hits from her office alone, remotely wearing a mask for safety, you see. 0.99

00:01:45.500 But as COVID waned, so did her control over other people's lives.

00:01:51.000 So, she got elected to the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, where she's been pushing gender ideology, and the parents don't like it.

00:01:58.500 So, when the parents started turning up at the school board meetings to hold their elected politicians to account, she silenced them and censored them in person.

00:02:07.000 So, the parents started a Change.org petition, and she had Change.org pull it down, complaining that it was bullying, and so they started a second one, and she had them pull it down again, citing bullying and anti-Semitic blah-ba-dee-blah-blah, nonsense, transgender, transphobia, all the phobias that weren't true.

00:02:26.380 So, it was just parents who wanted to hold their elected politicians to account and have a say in what happens to their children seven hours a day for 200 days of the year, which seems like a reasonable request.

00:02:42.140 So, anyway, to combat the censorship of these parents, I started my own petition at FireNillie.com so that they would have a petition that was uncancellable, and I made the promise that I would deliver it myself.

00:02:54.720 And, as you can see, I tried to deliver it, and Nillie Kaplan-Mirth flipped her lid, ripped a door from my hand, and called six security guards on me. 0.75

00:03:05.960 And I couldn't have been nicer.

00:03:07.340 Actually, I find it quite comical.

00:03:09.360 I had a difficult time filming that video because I had the giggles, because I couldn't believe how crazy this woman was about, you know, 70 or 80 pages of paper and 8,000 signatures. 1.00

00:03:22.040 But it wasn't about that, was it?

00:03:23.620 It was about somebody having an opposing worldview in the same vicinity of her, and she couldn't handle it.

00:03:31.760 And I just don't think somebody like Nillie Kaplan-Mirth is emotionally resilient enough to be making decisions for other people's children.

00:03:39.920 And I think the people around her should probably intervene if they actually care about her, because she, I don't think she's, well, I really don't.

00:03:51.140 And I probably should stop laughing at her, except for the sinister fact that she makes decisions for other people's children. 1.00

00:03:57.660 And she's a pro-censorship, unaccountability politician. 0.98

00:04:03.620 But I'm new to covering the school board protests.

00:04:08.080 Unlike my friend David Menzies, who's been on this beat for over a year. 0.92

00:04:12.740 And it started with Kayla Lemieux, the teacher with the prosthetic fetish boobs, teaching the shop class. 0.85

00:04:19.260 Since then, school board maniacs and school board chaos has been David Menzies' ongoing beat. 0.91

00:04:30.520 It seems to me almost every day he texts me and says,

00:04:32.900 Sheila, I'm going to a crazy school board meeting.

00:04:34.860 Here's why.

00:04:36.380 And so joining me now to discuss what I just experienced firsthand in Ottawa,

00:04:40.580 and what he's been dealing with for at least the last year is my friend, David Menzies.

00:04:46.040 Take a listen.

00:04:53.980 So joining me now by popular demand, quit emailing me people, is my friend David Menzies

00:04:59.580 to talk about what the heck is going on at school boards in Ontario.

00:05:03.600 But this stuff is happening all across the country.

00:05:05.880 David, thanks for coming on the show.

00:05:07.560 People email me constantly, like Sheila.

00:05:09.660 Have David on the show.

00:05:10.560 Have David on the show.

00:05:11.400 Have David on the show.

00:05:12.220 So people, stop the emails.

00:05:13.900 He's here.

00:05:15.020 Wow.

00:05:15.460 Well, you know, you've made my day, Sheila.

00:05:17.200 It's always a pleasure to spend time with you, even if it's virtually.

00:05:21.280 And yeah, school boards, I've never seen something so out of control as publicly funded school boards.

00:05:30.600 Sheila, I actually don't know where to start.

00:05:33.900 You know, I think we really got interested when, going back a year ago,

00:05:38.960 Busty Lemieux showed up at Oakville Trafalgar High School with those enormous breasts, which he claims are real. 1.00

00:05:47.860 He had a growth spurt, you see.

00:05:48.980 He's got a very rare medical condition.

00:05:50.580 He started developing at 39.

00:05:52.960 Yeah, so rare.

00:05:54.340 In fact, Sheila, he's the only man on the planet Earth where there are 4 billion males who has this, evidently. 0.91

00:06:02.200 And they're fluid, these boobs. 0.99

00:06:04.580 They come and go like a karma chameleon. 0.98

00:06:07.860 We've caught them with the boobs on, with the boobs off. 1.00

00:06:11.440 It's funny that I don't know any biological woman whose breasts can, I don't know, recede like a turtle going into its shell and then pop out again. 0.95

00:06:21.020 I imagine that would make things kind of easy for her femdin. 1.00

00:06:24.600 But that ain't how it goes.

00:06:27.400 And here's the thing, Sheila.

00:06:29.500 He has the blessing of the school board.

00:06:33.740 They won't touch this with a 10-foot pole, even if he's standing 11 feet away, because they don't want to be seen as transphobic, even though, very important caveat here, not even the trans community is coming to this guy's defense.

00:06:48.700 They know this is phony baloney, this is something more, either a prank or a perversion.

00:06:54.920 I side with perversion for many reasons that I won't get into here.

00:06:58.740 We saw when Lincoln Jay and I got physically assaulted at a teacher's union meeting that his colleagues, they're completely down with dressing inappropriately in front of parents.

00:07:12.180 And worst of all, the milquetoast minister of education, Stephen Leachie, he's basically right now, Sheila, with all of these school boards, I'm talking Halton, Waterloo, Toronto, Ottawa, I'm sure I've forgotten some.

00:07:32.720 And he's basically like a professional wrestling referee, where it's, listen, Sheila, I've warned you nine times not to use that foreign object. 0.99

00:07:42.080 And if you keep using it, I'm going to warn you a 10th time not to use it. 0.98

00:07:46.400 This guy is absolutely a disgrace. 0.60

00:07:51.260 And I can only say this, Sheila, he has the power, and you saw it happen in your province a few years ago. 0.96

00:07:57.380 He has the power to rein in and even dissolve these out-of-control woke school boards.

00:08:03.880 He won't do so.

00:08:04.920 So you know what I say?

00:08:06.180 That this supposed conservative minister of education, he's all down with this agenda too.

00:08:15.280 That's the only reason.

00:08:16.920 He has the hammer to restore order.

00:08:20.720 All of these school boards, Sheila, have been infiltrated by far-left woke Marxists.

00:08:26.620 They're not going to reform themselves.

00:08:28.860 They don't even respond to pressure.

00:08:30.720 They ban the parents.

00:08:31.780 They ban the media.

00:08:33.060 They are completely out of control. 0.95

00:08:35.560 So, Mr. Lecce, where in blue hell are you?

00:08:39.540 You know, that's a really great point that you bring up about just the absolute failures of the politicians here.

00:08:46.120 So, and how quickly these school boards have become infested with, as you said, I wrote it down, far-left woke Marxists.

00:08:55.380 You can get on the school board and affect the future generation of humanity with a couple of dozen votes.

00:09:03.360 That's all you need to win an election and shape and frame the culture of tomorrow.

00:09:10.100 It's quite frightening that conservatives, small-c conservatives, are asleep at the switch here.

00:09:14.780 But it's the big conservatives, the politicians who are really failing, and they're not really reading the room because this is becoming very quickly a single issue for voters.

00:09:28.620 And it's amazing to watch nature healing out there.

00:09:32.140 For example, at the Ottawa-Carlton District School Board, it is Muslim parents and Christian parents who are uniting and who are protesting this gender ideology.

00:09:43.840 And in Ontario, they really should have learned better because it was when the Muslim parents, the Christian parents, and the Chinese parents, and the new Canadians all got together to protest comprehensive sex ed that it was stopped. 0.73

00:09:56.260 And so Ontario has sort of forgotten its history.

00:10:00.740 But this isn't a far-right thing.

00:10:04.240 I just saw a speech today from a protest at the Ottawa-Carlton District School Board where the man said,

00:10:11.500 the media and the politicians are saying that Muslims hate Christians, and the media is saying that the Christians hate the Muslims,

00:10:18.160 but we are one nation under God sticking up for our kids.

00:10:20.800 And people are uniting around this one issue, and it transcends politics.

00:10:26.860 No, Sheila, you're so right.

00:10:28.480 The fact that these aren't straight white males, people that look like me wearing MAGA hats,

00:10:35.300 this has caused such a hot potato issue for the left.

00:10:39.100 When you have Muslims coming out, when you have Jews coming out, 1.00

00:10:42.740 and everyone is standing side by side, it's created a terrible dilemma for them.

00:10:49.280 Because, you know, Sheila, our boss, Ezra Levent, I love his analogy in terms of how human rights commissions

00:10:54.540 and tribunals look at race and identity and whatnot, which is to say,

00:10:59.880 a guy like me, a straight, white, able-bodied male,

00:11:05.540 I'm maybe in a poker game, I'm an eight of diamonds, okay?

00:11:10.500 Now, if you're Muslim and visible minority, you are a royal flush. 1.00

00:11:18.680 Same if you're a member of the LGBT community, you are another suit of the royal flush. 1.00

00:11:24.340 Guess what?

00:11:25.900 Muslims and members of that community, as we've seen,

00:11:29.240 they get along about as well as a cobra and a mongoose.

00:11:32.340 And the left doesn't know what to do,

00:11:35.660 because they think everyone should be on board, and they're not on board.

00:11:39.500 If I had the ear, Pierre Polyev, I would say, Mr. Polyev, here's what you do, denounce this.

00:11:47.680 Denounce the Dylan Mulvaney spokes-thingies of the world.

00:11:52.320 Denounce radical transgenderism. 0.94

00:11:54.480 Because let's look at the numbers.

00:11:56.000 We're talking about in that community, and by the way, within that community, Sheila,

00:12:00.120 LGBTQ, as you know, we have groups like Gays Against Groomers.

00:12:04.320 We have LGB without the T, basically lesbians, gays, and bisexuals saying, 0.92

00:12:10.740 I'm not signed up for these radical transgender people, 1.00

00:12:14.140 so many of whom appear to be mentally ill. 1.00

00:12:17.320 That's not my bag, man. 0.82

00:12:19.500 So I would say to Pierre Polyev, that community en masse represents 2%.

00:12:26.020 Let's say they're allies, people who aren't in that community but support it.

00:12:30.620 Let's double it, 4%. 0.90

00:12:32.120 That means 96% is on side with you denouncing this rubbish going on in schools. 0.99

00:12:40.100 And, Sheila, when I say rubbish, I'm not kidding. 0.96

00:12:43.440 I mean, we've covered Durham District School Board protests at specific schools, 0.63

00:12:48.460 elementary schools, where the school board libraries have books that have pornography.

00:12:54.260 And no, I do not exaggerate. 0.90

00:12:56.340 When you have a book about a father having sex with his 8-year-old daughter, 0.89

00:13:04.240 how else can you describe that?

00:13:06.300 And here's the other thing, where the LGBT community,

00:13:09.960 or at least the vocal unhinged members, don't get it.

00:13:13.480 I covered a protest, as you know, at Colonel Farewell School in Whitby

00:13:17.420 about pornography in the schools.

00:13:19.460 And it was predominantly mothers and grandmothers, Sheila, speaking out.

00:13:23.080 And at not one instance did they speak about sexual orientation or gender identification.

00:13:31.540 And yet they had a group of violent, I mean, they wanted to get violent,

00:13:36.860 but nobody was taking the bait, LGBT rainbow mafia types. 1.00

00:13:41.840 What I'm saying to you, Sheila, is do you guys know what you're demonstrating?

00:13:47.100 They had nothing to say about sexual orientation and gender identification.

00:13:50.740 They're speaking about pornography in elementary school libraries.

00:13:54.420 Your counter-demonstration, are you trying to infer we support pornography in elementary school libraries?

00:14:02.260 Because I don't see how that's a winner, Sheila.

00:14:05.200 Well, and that's really the thing here.

00:14:09.060 You see these parent uprisings in a way that I have never seen anywhere before.

00:14:14.280 And they seem to be largely happening in Ontario and not in Alberta.

00:14:18.200 And there's a reason for that.

00:14:19.740 Alberta has the most diverse education system in the entire country.

00:14:23.600 So the funding follows the child.

00:14:26.780 If you're a middle-income parent, you can put your kid in private school because the funding follows the kid.

00:14:30.380 And you can just choose to not go to a maniacal school.

00:14:34.520 It's really not that way in Ontario.

00:14:37.240 It seems to be all enforced and the schools seem to be quite homogenous, whether they're Catholic schools or public schools.

00:14:44.800 It doesn't seem to matter.

00:14:46.540 But as Ralph Klein said, the parade is marching.

00:14:49.980 And you just need a politician to jump in front of it and lead it, as did Glenn Youngkin in Virginia.

00:14:55.360 When he saw the parents rising up at these school board meetings and they didn't have a voice.

00:15:01.220 All it takes is one politician to give these parents a voice and you will be uniting this incredibly diverse group of people who are all opposed to subjecting little kids to this social contagion.

00:15:14.380 But there's not a politician brave enough to do it in Ontario.

00:15:17.860 It's staggering to me, Sheila.

00:15:19.620 And the Virginia model is a great example.

00:15:22.680 As we know, in North America, the lowest level elected official in our democracies, it is the school board trustee.

00:15:32.260 In fact, I would wager most people don't know who their school board trustee is.

00:15:36.640 Most don't even vote for that trustee.

00:15:39.420 They should.

00:15:41.260 Those who do vote probably name recognition.

00:15:44.660 And yet, what did we see in Virginia?

00:15:47.100 We saw Mama Bear wake up. 0.99

00:15:49.180 We said, no, we're tired of critical race theory.

00:15:52.680 And BLM propaganda and radical transgenderism being shoved down our kids' throat.

00:15:59.340 And they showed up en masse.

00:16:01.660 And what happened in Virginia?

00:16:04.060 The lowest level elected official, the school board trustee, it had ramifications on that state's highest level, namely the governor.

00:16:15.000 It went from Democrat to Republican.

00:16:17.960 It wasn't supposed to happen.

00:16:19.600 As I said, Mama Bear woke up. 0.78

00:16:21.780 And yet, against all odds, Sheila, because I can tell you, in the U.S., shockingly, because law enforcement has been politicized there, just as much as it has here,

00:16:32.200 you have Department of Justice and FBI officials referring to parents who are concerned about their children and concerned about the curriculum as domestic terrorists, almost as though they're like the Boston Marathon bombers in training.

00:16:49.100 This is grotesque, but despite that blowback, regime change happened in Virginia.

00:16:56.620 And I would think, I would hope that would be a template for something to happen in Canadian provinces.

00:17:03.160 But at least you could go to right-of-center politicians and say to them, instead of treating this as a third rail issue, put the foot on the accelerator.

00:17:15.720 Come out against this despicable indoctrination.

00:17:19.600 Let's get back to education.

00:17:21.280 Let's get back to the three R's. 1.00

00:17:23.360 I do not understand the hesitancy, Sheila, because they have the majority behind them.

00:17:30.840 Well, and even if the politicians are scared and they don't want to come out against gender ideology, because they are cowards and they won't, perhaps they could come out in favor of holding politicians to account.

00:17:42.340 But they won't even do that.

00:17:43.660 When they are banning parents from these school board meetings, these are elected officials.

00:17:48.660 They want to act like they're kings.

00:17:51.140 They're not kings.

00:17:52.260 They're just elected officials.

00:17:54.600 And parents have a right to ask their elected officials questions and a right to hold these people to account.

00:18:01.660 And they are being banned and excluded from these school board meetings.

00:18:05.000 And parents are mad.

00:18:06.000 You want to know why?

00:18:06.940 Because my most precious thing that I have in my life, these lunatics are deciding what happens to my precious thing for seven to eight hours a day.

00:18:16.760 And they don't want me to have a say.

00:18:18.660 And so these provincial politicians and federal politicians who are too cowardly to come out against the ideology of Dylan Mulvaney, maybe they could come out in favor of holding politicians to account.

00:18:32.280 That used to be a universal truth in this country.

00:18:34.660 But I saw it at the Ottawa Carleton District School Board when I had six security guards called on me for giggling and trying to get some paper.

00:18:46.380 You know, there's no accountability anymore.

00:18:50.020 These are low-level politicians who won sometimes by a dozen votes.

00:18:55.160 You get to listen to parents or get off the school board.

00:18:57.920 Sheila, I think it's worse than what you think.

00:19:01.360 Most of these educrats, from what I can tell, hate parents.

00:19:04.800 At least those parents that say, I have involvement in what's being taught.

00:19:08.940 Most educrats don't care about the kids. 0.93

00:19:11.940 It's me, myself, and I.

00:19:13.860 These are, in the big picture, Sheila, Marxists.

00:19:17.580 These are people beholden to Marxist ideology.

00:19:20.180 And what I mean by that is that right out of the Marxist playbook, what is, you know, play one?

00:19:27.660 Well, it's this.

00:19:29.200 Tear down society and rebuild it as a Marxist utopia, which, of course, never happens.

00:19:35.520 Just go to the people in Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba, if you want affirmation about that.

00:19:42.280 These are people that have higher political ambitions.

00:19:46.260 City councillor, MPP, MP, and they are all super far left of centre.

00:19:55.980 And a perfect example is what we just talked about.

00:19:58.600 If you, I mean, Sheila, pornography at elementary school libraries, think of how perverse that is.

00:20:05.400 If a child went to a corner store and bought a copy of Playboy, and that's pretty tame by the standards of today.

00:20:12.320 That shopkeeper, if outed, he's in big trouble.

00:20:15.040 He's going to be fined.

00:20:18.320 It's going to be a big deal.

00:20:20.480 But the kids don't have to sneak in Playboy into the school.

00:20:24.100 They just have to go to the library, and they'll get stuff that would make, you know, the hair of Playboy editors fall out.

00:20:32.800 It is so graphic and indecent and gross.

00:20:36.840 And again, it's all about tearing down society.

00:20:40.520 That is the big picture.

00:20:41.480 And even, you know, I always used to think, Sheila, the bastion of hope, I'm not Catholic, I know you are, but the bastion of hope would be the Catholic school boards.

00:20:52.080 And, of course, the Catholic school boards, that is a guaranteed right here in Ontario precedes confederation.

00:21:00.260 And yet, look at what's happening there.

00:21:02.560 Even there, the Marxist leftists are infiltrating Catholic school boards. 0.95

00:21:07.580 Waterloo Catholic district school board, for example, you had a teacher, Wendy Ashby, who said the most dangerous creature on the planet is the white male Christian.

00:21:17.540 And the whole school board, with two dissenting voices at first, said, nothing to see here, folks, but parents erupted.

00:21:26.000 We went there, and just for me and Lincoln Jay having the temerity to ask insensitive questions, we are now banned for two years.

00:21:36.440 We'll be challenging that outrageous ban, by the way, folks.

00:21:39.880 But unless Wendy Ashby voluntarily resigned, she would still be there.

00:21:47.020 And also, the York Catholic district school board, I want to give them a tip of the hat, because earlier this month, they finally voted, and it was a squeaker, six to four, that they would not be raising the pride flag.

00:22:03.100 And the hysteria from the Rainbow Mafia, the hysteria from the mainstream media about this, and think about that.

00:22:11.460 Why do you need to raise this piece of fabric?

00:22:14.660 Oh, it's to make a school a safe space.

00:22:16.460 Well, Sheila, if you're a member of the LGBT community, a student, and you're being bullied or harassed, that is despicable, and it should be dealt with, and principals should actually stand up to that saying they have in schools, zero tolerance for bullying.

00:22:30.480 But I don't know how in blue hell, raising a multicolored piece of fabric makes a hostile school environment a safe one.

00:22:40.740 This is fantasy.

00:22:41.720 And now, as I predicted, look what's happening.

00:22:45.100 The mainstream media, the various lobby groups for the Rainbow Mafia, politicians are now playing, well, if that's the way the York Catholic district school board is going to roll, we're going to go to the Human Rights Commission. 0.82

00:23:01.380 And this non-elected, unaccountable body, Sheila, we'll get them to order them to put up the flag, and the hammer will be, and this will be another lawsuit in the making, you do it or we are removing your public funding. 0.99

00:23:18.780 There is absolutely no tolerance for wrong think.

00:23:24.760 And we just saw that play out last week in Toronto.

00:23:27.820 Anthony Bass, the Blue Jays pitcher, for having the temerity to like posts that approved of the Target and the Bud Light boycott.

00:23:37.300 Well, the organization, because Rogers, which owns it, is hopelessly woke, it flipped out, and they made him do a public apology.

00:23:48.520 And then they made him meet with a member of Pride Toronto to be schooled.

00:23:53.300 And then on Friday, they were going to have a pitcher become a catcher to catch out, to catch a ceremonial first pitch from a trans person or something.

00:24:03.720 But at the 11th hour, they said, nah, even though we've humiliated him and made him, you know, repudiate what he originally supported, Sheila, we're going to fire, we're going to get rid of him.

00:24:16.780 Even though he's a player with a multi-million dollar contract, goodbye. 0.67

00:24:21.360 By the way, hypocrisy there.

00:24:22.740 Anthony Bass, he's not the greatest pitcher in the league.

00:24:25.920 If that had been a star Blue Jays player, what do you want to bet the organization would have some tolerance?

00:24:31.860 But he went through all the hoops.

00:24:34.120 He did the Searcy walk of shame from Game of Thrones.

00:24:38.280 The struggle session.

00:24:39.300 And still, I mean, what a setup.

00:24:41.180 I've never seen this in my life.

00:24:42.600 At the end of the day, the Jays said, you know what, you're fired, beat it, clean out your locker.

00:24:49.060 Politicians are going to do the same thing to the, or they're going to try to, Sheila, with the Catholic school boards in Ontario.

00:24:56.120 And it's insidious.

00:24:57.960 Well, that's why these maniacs get involved in the Catholic school system. 0.92

00:25:02.500 They're definitely, I mean, they're clearly not Catholic. 0.93

00:25:04.460 We do have a set of very specific dogma and catechism that you have to follow to actually be a Catholic.

00:25:10.420 You don't get to make it up as you go.

00:25:12.160 Well, if that's what you want to do, you could probably join the United Church.

00:25:15.480 Oh, Sheila, if I may add, some Catholic teachers are making it up as they go along.

00:25:20.160 Mr. De Bono, who is a-

00:25:22.320 Catholic, like Trudeau Catholic.

00:25:24.200 Yeah, who basically in his classroom, he allegedly took down the cross, put up the pride flag, and made it a so-called safe space.

00:25:32.840 And he claims that Jesus Christ, there's evidence that shows, he's never provided the evidence, that he was a trans individual.

00:25:41.060 I mean, can you imagine?

00:25:43.060 I mean, and this guy who's with the Toronto District Catholic School Board, he came up to the York Region Catholic School Board to advocate for the pride flags going up.

00:25:52.100 So he's trying to pollinate his perverse view of Catholic doctrine to other school boards.

00:25:59.820 He's not employed at York Region.

00:26:01.360 He's employed in the city of Toronto.

00:26:03.280 No, I have heard because of parental outrage, he has either been reassigned or the Toronto Catholic Board is doing what the Halton District Catholic, sorry, the Halton District School Board is doing with Busty Lemieux.

00:26:16.180 They're paying him to stay at home, full salary and benefits.

00:26:20.300 That's their way of punishing people.

00:26:22.800 But you know what?

00:26:23.740 I can't say, I mean, to get that cancer out of the Catholic school system, to have that rainbow flag in his classroom come down and the cross be put back up, I think I can accept that. 0.97

00:26:37.740 There's a reason they get involved in the Catholic School Board, and it's not because they're Catholic.

00:26:41.680 It's because they need to pull that institution down, because that is an institution that is led by Catholic values, and Catholic values say you are to be beholden to God above the state.

00:26:53.320 And then, you know, so if you need people to adopt the state as their religion, you have to destroy their religion.

00:27:00.020 And I guess the most insidious way to do it is from the inside.

00:27:03.960 And these people, they are left with quite a predicament, right?

00:27:08.640 The reason they come after other people's kids is because they've either had abortions because they fear climate change, or they've self-sterilized with chemicals and cross-sex hormones.

00:27:21.700 So their ideology cannot proliferate the way mine can.

00:27:26.260 I'm raising good Catholic conservative kids over here, three of them.

00:27:29.540 I've done my part.

00:27:31.120 But they don't have kids.

00:27:32.360 So what they need to do is infect mine with their bad ideas, and that's why they infest the school system the way they do.

00:27:40.260 Yeah, and I can tell you, Sheila, the York Catholic District School Board, those trustees that voted against the raising of the pride flag and the superintendent, and I give them full credit,

00:27:51.100 they made the very profound point, I think, that our Catholic schools have two symbols that are inclusive of everyone.

00:27:59.000 It is the Canadian flag, and it is the cross.

00:28:02.080 And they are absolutely right.

00:28:04.220 To think that those symbols are exclusionary of anyone is perverse.

00:28:09.280 And I'm so glad they took a stance, but there's going to be a price to pay, if not a price to pay, a hell of a fight on their hands.

00:28:17.160 Because even though our politicians these days believe in diversity is our strength, there is no diversity of opinion, Sheila.

00:28:26.480 And like I said, these Catholic boards have a true fight on their hands in the months and years going forward.

00:28:34.160 I can't wait.

00:28:35.960 I can't wait.

00:28:37.060 I think this all has to come to a head, quite frankly, and I think the other side has overplayed their hand.

00:28:41.800 The way you see the kumbayas of the Christians, Muslims, and the Jews, and new Canadians, all of these school board protests,

00:28:50.300 they are, while everybody tries to divide us, it feels like we're all uniting in opposition of transing the little ones.

00:28:59.640 Now, one of the reasons I wanted to have you on the show, besides the fact that you talk and I just get to listen, which is good.

00:29:08.400 Welcome to Lady Menzoids world. 1.00

00:29:10.380 I know.

00:29:10.860 I feel for her.

00:29:12.840 That's a woman I can relate to. 0.98

00:29:16.480 But you are one of the few journalists covering these, and you're covering so many of them.

00:29:22.440 I think Miles over at Campaign Life Coalition, who I think is now sort of moving over to LifeSite, big fan of Miles and his work.

00:29:30.380 Whose last name either escapes me or I can't pronounce, so it's a bit of both.

00:29:36.460 But Miles, you know who you are.

00:29:38.540 And Cosmin Georgia over at True North.

00:29:40.840 He has been watching school board meetings for years.

00:29:43.560 But I think it's important to do these reports in the form of video, because some of the madness that happens at these school board meetings and at these school board protests,

00:29:56.020 you have to see it to believe it, because it is just so insane.

00:30:03.840 You are so right, Sheila.

00:30:05.440 And again, I referenced earlier this month the York Catholic District School Board meeting to make the final decision on the pride flag.

00:30:12.740 And this is another tactic, by the way.

00:30:16.080 More than an hour before the doors opened, so two hours before the meeting itself, the rainbow spirit unicorns were lining up en masse to hopefully pack every seat so that normal parents couldn't get into the school board.

00:30:33.240 And I was interviewing that Mr. De Bono, who is – is it the Gregorian monks that take a vow of silence?

00:30:41.040 I just want to make sure I've got the right monks.

00:30:44.100 He wouldn't answer a single question.

00:30:46.600 And then this lady, and she's clearly female, and also another telltale sign, you know, they're on the wrong side, we're on the right side. 1.00

00:30:58.240 These people, for some reason, are still wearing masks.

00:31:00.940 I think that's a political statement in 2023, Sheila.

00:31:04.680 It's, we believe in big government, we believe in big lockdowns, we believe in being told what to do.

00:31:09.100 And she swore at me and basically said, leave him alone. 1.00

00:31:14.360 Now, this is an adult teacher. 0.80

00:31:15.520 This is the one that believes that Jesus was transgendered.

00:31:19.780 And I started – like, she wanted me to leave.

00:31:23.520 I'm on a public school board property.

00:31:26.360 And what happened was she swore at me, and I said, whoa, that's not very ladylike.

00:31:35.460 Like, and then she screamed, you just misgendered me.

00:31:39.600 And I said, oh, I'm so sorry.

00:31:41.160 What is your gender?

00:31:42.840 And she says, it's none of your effing business.

00:31:45.300 And I said, well, we don't know what your gender is.

00:31:48.100 How can I avoid misgendering you?

00:31:50.260 And it's clearly, clearly someone who's female, Sheila.

00:31:53.860 I wasn't saying to a male that's not ladylike behavior.

00:31:58.400 But first of all, two things.

00:32:00.460 You can have it both ways.

00:32:02.060 If you don't want to be misgendered, tell me what your gender is. 1.00

00:32:05.460 And secondly, can you imagine in 2023, Sheila, we live in a world where the term ladylike is offensive to people in the far left?

00:32:18.840 I don't know what they associate that term with.

00:32:21.640 I think lady, like a gentleman, I think that's a nice term.

00:32:25.060 I guess, is it about colonialism, imperialism, white supremacy?

00:32:29.060 That's always the cards they play, Sheila. 0.98

00:32:30.860 But that just shows you the lunatic fringe that is so vocal.

00:32:38.400 And what I say to politicians and members of the media, but I think they're too woke to convert, Sheila,

00:32:45.560 is don't listen to the loudest voice.

00:32:48.860 Don't listen to the ones screaming hysterically and having crying fits and dropping F-bombs.

00:32:55.760 They don't represent the vast majority of normal, fair-minded, decent Canadians, 0.99

00:33:03.560 especially those Canadians who are mothers and fathers with their children and in school.

00:33:07.680 They don't want them indoctrinated.

00:33:09.340 They want them educated.

00:33:10.940 They want them to learn, you know, reading, writing, arithmetic.

00:33:13.880 And if you look, I don't know about Alberta, but in Ontario, Sheila, our provincial scores,

00:33:20.480 they're going into the toilet further and further every year.

00:33:23.920 But wow, are they really up to date on what the latest color scheme and symbols are on the current pride flag?

00:33:32.260 By the way, I don't want to seem distracted, but I looked up the Roman description of Jesus.

00:33:41.000 So purported Roman records, just so you know.

00:33:45.280 So in case anybody describes Jesus as clearly trans or whatever, they say he was a man of medium size.

00:33:52.760 His beholders can both fear and love him.

00:33:56.960 His hair is the color of ripe hazelnut, straight down to the ears, wavy and curled, blue eyes flowing over his shoulders,

00:34:04.060 parted on the top of his head, as is the pattern of the Nazarenes. 0.77

00:34:07.860 His beard is abundant of the color of his hair, not long, but divided at the chin.

00:34:14.580 Anyways, he was very clearly a man with a beard.

00:34:18.200 So sorry, activist teachers, at least according to the Romans, Jesus was a man.

00:34:25.780 Well, Sheila, my friend, you cannot win with these people.

00:34:30.360 They will say that scripture was written by an individual with an agenda.

00:34:36.560 It's not the truth.

00:34:38.180 Even though you have given a verbal description of what Jesus looked like,

00:34:43.720 they will still repudiate that you cannot win with these people.

00:34:50.820 His brow is smooth and cheerful with a face without a wrinkle or a spot, a slightly reddish complexion.

00:34:56.980 Well, I mean, it's the desert, so that's obviously true.

00:35:00.620 David, we actually have to get together for the live stream right away,

00:35:05.060 but I want to thank you so much for coming on the show and updating us on just the trials and tribulations

00:35:09.500 of being a journalist who puts himself in actually quite a bit of physical danger

00:35:15.700 to report on what these lunatics want to teach our kids.

00:35:19.100 It's amazing, isn't it, Sheila? 0.99

00:35:21.420 These are the same people that subscribe to the saying, punch a Nazi.

00:35:26.000 And as you know what that means, it's not punch somebody who is hell-bent on world conquest 0.97

00:35:31.640 and carrying out a genocide.

00:35:33.260 It's simply somebody that has a differing opinion.

00:35:35.560 If they have a differing opinion, therefore you are a Nazi, therefore you can physically assault them.

00:35:42.340 And we increasingly have this disturbing trend of law enforcement turning the other eye.

00:35:47.200 Ooh, it was a trans person that threw the punch? 1.00

00:35:49.740 That's too hot for me to handle. 1.00

00:35:51.980 And it's despicable.

00:35:52.920 And I'll leave it with this.

00:35:54.040 I want your audience, Sheila, to stay tuned.

00:35:56.900 I have yet another Busty Lemieux development. 1.00

00:36:00.780 It's a blockbuster.

00:36:02.100 I'm not going to say any more, but I'm going to do a short monologue on that probably tomorrow.

00:36:10.160 And no, I'm not going to tip my hand.

00:36:13.000 Just stay tuned, folks.

00:36:15.320 You're not going to believe this one.

00:36:17.780 You know, David, that's your beat.

00:36:22.960 The Rupert's Land boob squash beat is all yours.

00:36:28.420 Well, I'll tell you, Sheila, the highlight of my year last year was when I met you at Toronto's Rebel Live.

00:36:34.080 I brought the eBay boobs along.

00:36:36.600 You insisted on trying them on.

00:36:38.800 I had to know how the other side lives.

00:36:40.740 Oh, well, forget about the other side.

00:36:42.600 I don't quite think I can ever look at you the same way, Sheila Gaurier.

00:36:47.460 I just had to know.

00:36:48.660 And always remember, I have a photograph on my phone that if our relationship ever goes sour, it's blackmail, Sheila.

00:37:00.260 That's fine.

00:37:03.520 David, thanks for coming on the show.

00:37:05.040 We'll talk very, very soon.

00:37:06.180 My pleasure, Sheila.

00:37:07.160 Thank you so much.

00:37:07.960 All right.

00:37:16.260 I hope you got your David fix for a little bit.

00:37:19.360 I know I did.

00:37:21.980 This is the portion of the show where I invite your viewer feedback, unlike the mainstream media.

00:37:26.540 And I know I say this every single week, so it might be getting redundant for some of you.

00:37:29.900 But I actually care about what you think about the work that we're doing here at Rebel News.

00:37:33.000 Because without you, there is no Rebel News.

00:37:35.460 Because we don't have a sugar daddy named Justin Trudeau reaching into other people's pockets to give us money to create content that absolutely nobody cares about mainstream media.

00:37:46.020 Anyway, if you'd like to leave me a comment on the show, my email address is Sheila at rebelnews.com.

00:37:53.960 Put gun show letters in the subject line so I know why you're emailing me.

00:37:58.260 Because I can get dozens, upwards of 100 emails every single day.

00:38:01.960 And so it makes it hard for me to leaf through them unless you put gun show letters in the subject line.

00:38:07.800 But also, don't hesitate to leave a comment wherever you're watching us.

00:38:11.780 For example, if you're watching the free version of the show with ads in it on Rumble or YouTube, leave a comment there.

00:38:19.860 Sometimes I go looking over there.

00:38:21.440 But I'm more inclined to look on Rumble than the censorship platform of YouTube.

00:38:27.480 Now, today's letter comes to us to the email inbox.

00:38:30.700 It's from a regular viewer of the show, a strong supporter of Rebel News, and dare I say, a Sheila Gunn-Reed superfan.

00:38:38.420 It's Bruce Atchison.

00:38:39.700 He lives in Radway, Alberta.

00:38:41.900 I say it also every time I read Bruce's letters on air that they have one of the best army surplus stores in the country.

00:38:48.060 It's a hidden gem.

00:38:48.840 In a Radway, it's worth the drive from Edmonton.

00:38:52.020 And Bruce watches the show with his cat.

00:38:54.640 And he writes on my show from last week with the gents from the National Firearms Association, Rick and Dwayne.

00:39:04.620 He says,

00:39:05.020 Hi, Sheila.

00:39:06.340 I'm now a proud member of the NFA.

00:39:08.280 Well, that's great.

00:39:09.160 You know, even if you don't own firearms, do you care about property rights?

00:39:12.500 Great.

00:39:12.880 These guys are fighting for property rights every single day.

00:39:15.620 I'm glad they let me join because I know just how important firearms are.

00:39:19.000 And Bruce is so right here.

00:39:21.180 Whether or not you own firearms, the fact that somebody else is being scapegoated for a rising crime that progressives don't want to deal with in Toronto, that's the real issue here.

00:39:31.460 However, Canada's firearms-owning community, they're the most law-abiding people in the country.

00:39:35.820 They're subject to daily background checks just to own the firearms they've lawfully acquired.

00:39:43.880 And they are under attack by the Liberals because the Liberals take the path of least resistance when dealing with, well, the problems they create through their policies in progressive cities.

00:39:55.600 Anyway, I will have to write my counselors about guns being property.

00:40:00.540 I forget which guest said it, but people really don't see the connection between guns and other things like fossil fuel cars and single-dwelling homes.

00:40:08.100 It's true.

00:40:08.900 Once the government can tell you what you can and can't own just by virtue of an edict by the government, that opens up a whole host of other issues, doesn't it?

00:40:17.300 If they can do it with guns, they can maybe do it with your car.

00:40:20.160 Maybe they can do it with the size of your house.

00:40:21.520 Maybe you don't need that second car.

00:40:22.620 Maybe you've had a little bit too much meat in your diet this month and you're not going to get the extra social credits to buy the extra roast at the grocery store, you know?

00:40:33.360 You can't give the government to do things to you.

00:40:36.120 You can't give them that permission because it's hard.

00:40:39.760 It's hard to get that back from them, isn't it?

00:40:42.020 Let's keep going.

00:40:42.640 I visited Moscow in 1997 and saw firsthand how the Soviets built high-rises for citizens with fields all around them.

00:40:49.860 It reminded me of Cousin Wayne's pigeon coops.

00:40:52.620 This is how the globalist plutocrats and putrid politicians want us to live someday. 0.94

00:40:56.960 I'd rather die than live in a concrete box again. 0.98

00:41:00.700 Bruce with the ever-hungry Delta Cat.

00:41:04.000 Well, thanks, Bruce.

00:41:04.720 And thanks for always being such a strong supporter of the work that we do here at Rebel News.

00:41:08.360 But it really is true. 0.94

00:41:09.420 Um, I want you to live however you want.

00:41:13.260 If you can afford a big house, live in a big house.

00:41:15.280 This is Canada.

00:41:16.300 We're like one of the least densely populated places on the face of the earth.

00:41:21.500 If you want to stretch your legs, stretch your legs.

00:41:34.420 Live however you want.

00:41:35.820 Live within your means.

00:41:42.620 I'll see everybody back here in the same time, in the same place next week.

00:41:45.860 And as always, remember, don't let the government tell you that you've had too much to think.
