00:00:00.000 We're checking in with two of the most mischievous people according to the courts
00:00:04.260 in this country today. I'm Sheila Gunn-Reed and you're watching The Gunn Show.
00:00:25.380 By mischievous, of course, I mean criminally mischievous. That's right.
00:00:30.000 We are checking in with Chris Barber and Tamara Leach, the two leaders of the Freedom Convoy
00:00:35.440 who were convicted of leading a peaceful protest against government overreach.
00:00:42.940 That's right. The Freedom Convoy, wherein the government acted illegally in their invocation
00:00:49.280 of the wartime law, the Emergencies Act, to freeze bank accounts and arrest and detain
00:00:56.580 the convoy leaders. They have been put through the wringer. They've been put through hell.
00:01:02.560 They have been attacked and demonized by not just the Canadian state, but their fellow citizens.
00:01:11.560 And the state appears to not be satisfied until they are both completely financially and morally
00:01:17.840 destroyed. But I've got news for the Carney government. That's not going to happen with
00:01:23.160 these two. They are more mentally and spiritually resilient than most people I've ever encountered
00:01:29.380 in my entire life. So Tamara Leach, Chris Barber, join the show today. Chris from On The Road,
00:01:37.600 Working Hard in the United States. And of course, Tamara from her house arrest in Medicine Hat.
00:01:43.860 And we've got news about what's coming in 2026 for Tamara Leach. So take a listen.
00:01:59.180 Joining me now are two people I think you all know very, very well, especially if you're a regular
00:02:03.980 viewer of Rebel News. I've got Freedom Convoy leaders. This is the most mischievous the gun show
00:02:09.920 has ever been. Tamara Leach and Chris Barber. Guys, thanks for coming on the show. I wanted to
00:02:16.640 have you guys on because I wanted to talk about, you know, updates in your cases. I was, you know,
00:02:22.300 I said off there, what's happening in your criminality, but that would imply that you're
00:02:28.000 actually criminals. I don't believe you are. I don't think anybody, I don't even think the people
00:02:31.860 who prosecuted you really believe that you're bad guys. But sort of updates in that. And then
00:02:37.760 let us know what you guys are up to. You guys started a podcast. I don't care which one of
00:02:44.800 you talks. But tell us why you thought you would start a podcast. And what is it all about? Like,
00:02:51.320 what's the goal of it? Well, the podcast is called House Arrest. And it's on YouTube streaming to all
00:02:59.580 of our services. Yeah, we kind of thought, who are we giving credit for that? Somebody came up with that
00:03:03.680 name. But I'm trying to remember, I think it was Rodney Palmer, wasn't it? Rodney Palmer. Yeah.
00:03:08.760 And so what a good way to pass the time every every Thursday evening at 6pm Mountain Time, 7pm
00:03:14.220 Central Standard Time, we go on our podcast, and we just talk about our week, and what life has been
00:03:19.980 like under the house arrest that we're both living. Obviously, my house is a little bit different
00:03:23.640 than Tamara's right now. I'm in the cab of my, my beautiful truck down in Wisconsin. So I'm but I'm
00:03:29.280 working and I'm allowed to do that. So when we do the podcast on Thursday, it'll be live from the cab
00:03:33.820 of the truck on my end. And of course, Tamara will be at home. Yes. So you have guests on your podcast?
00:03:42.900 Yes, we do. Well, we wanted to obviously take that and make the most of this time that we've been
00:03:48.700 granted. And so we really wanted to give a platform to, you know, causes that we support,
00:03:55.860 like our veterans, the vaccine injured, and types, stuff like that, the Coutts boys, we recently had
00:04:03.260 Ray McGinnis and Gordon McGill on to cover the Coutts boys' case, and also to raise awareness on
00:04:08.800 each of their fundraisers, too. Because let's not forget, I mean, there's a lot of people that are
00:04:14.040 still in the law fair. So our very first episode, we were really fortunate to have the Honorable Brian
00:04:19.820 Peckford on, former Premier of Newfoundland, to talk about the Charter and our Constitution,
00:04:25.480 because we thought that was probably the best place to start. It's really why we ended up where
00:04:30.000 we are now. You know, I'm glad you said that, because one of the things that really irritates
00:04:37.460 me about your sentence, Tamara, is that so much of your free time, otherwise, was spent helping other
00:04:45.900 people bring awareness to their causes, fundraising. And I don't believe that it serves the interests
00:04:52.800 of Canadian society or justice whatsoever, to take someone who has raised, I would suspect,
00:04:59.780 close to $100,000 for other people's causes, just off the streets, and then plunked into your home. So
00:05:05.880 I love that you are at least trying to use house arrest to do a little bit of that work that you have
00:05:12.820 now been disallowed by the state to do.
00:05:17.780 Well, like I said, I mean, it's something that, you know, has always been very close to
00:05:21.820 myself and Chris's heart, I know, is helping other people and basically to use our powers for good,
00:05:28.700 you know, people are paying attention to our case. And so it does give us an opportunity to,
00:05:33.560 to do our best to help other people.
00:05:35.480 Well, I mean, even on the midst of our, of our, it's been almost five years now since Freedom
00:05:40.640 Convoy, and we've been in, we've been in the legal battles for five years now. And amidst the legal
00:05:45.460 battles that we've been going through, we've, we both managed to spend a lot of time going to
00:05:49.500 events, going to fundraisers, trying really hard to help the other people. And of course,
00:05:53.480 there's people out there that we've missed. And we're both apologetic for, for not, you know,
00:05:58.580 reaching out to everybody, each and everyone, but there's only so much we can do, but we've tried to do our
00:06:03.160 best. There's been a lot of stuff when it comes to the, the injuries that, you know, the job has
00:06:08.180 created. I wish we could do more on that stuff, but unfortunately our time is kind of limited with
00:06:13.140 the amount of trial time we've spent. Yeah. It trial has taken you away from your family, but you
00:06:19.280 know, like Chris, you're working right now. I'm grateful that you're taking the time to talk to us
00:06:24.140 today, but you are on the road. Like you, you're a working man. You're one of those people that keeps
00:06:29.880 everything moving in this society. But I have seen people who are like, why is he able to go
00:06:37.180 into the United States for work? I did that yesterday on my social media. I crossed the
00:06:43.960 border in Manitoba, near the U S and I, and I thought, you know, that's a perfect time to stop
00:06:48.440 and just do a Tik TOK and just throw it up on social media. Hey, I just crossed the border yet
00:06:52.480 again. I'm allowed to do that under my conditions. I'm allowed to work. The judge gave ground to me
00:06:56.580 the ability to make a living for my family and keep my business running. So as long as
00:07:01.120 everything is scheduled out, I mean, I think I took two weeks off after convoy because convoy
00:07:06.240 was such a, a huge experience and we were so tied up in it mentally draining. When we got
00:07:10.780 home, I needed a little bit of a break, but two weeks that I took off at home to kind of
00:07:14.340 catch my breath after convoy, I've been working ever since. Somebody made fun of me the other
00:07:18.360 day on social media and said, wash your hands for a change. Well, it's stained. Like you can't
00:07:24.000 wash the stains out of your hands. That's what happens when you work for a living. People should
00:07:27.860 try it. Yeah. It's real fun to see the laptop class who want to file a human rights complaint
00:07:34.260 because they don't want to go into the office anymore, complain about a man who's supporting
00:07:39.240 his family. Like these people are the absolute worst. Tamara, for someone who's on under house
00:07:45.880 rest, you're pretty busy. Like we had to schedule this quite early in the day. We're recording this
00:07:50.300 Wednesday morning because you've got a community service right after this. I do have community
00:07:57.320 service. Yes. I will be getting ready to leave shortly after the show today and head down to
00:08:03.580 our local food bank where I'm going to be doing, well, I have been doing community service two to
00:08:08.780 three days a week. And I'm also doing one morning a week at the church too. Yeah, that's great. You know,
00:08:14.780 again, you guys were the number one criminals in Canada. And I think for a lot of people,
00:08:20.420 you still are the boogeyman in their minds. And you're out here just supporting your families
00:08:25.160 and doing community service, which Tamara, I know you would do anyway, you know?
00:08:29.620 Well, yeah, it's been quite the ordeal trying to go back and forth with the probation officers
00:08:33.160 and the courts. Of course, anything we do for community service has to be granted and has to
00:08:37.220 be an approved place by the government. So I've applied through my local community,
00:08:42.120 my local RM, and that will be my community service. It's taken over two months to try and
00:08:47.520 get everything situated where I can actually start doing things. So I'm not sure what they
00:08:51.580 have in store for me yet. It's a small little community, but I'm sure they'll keep me busy
00:08:55.160 for 100 hours and it won't take very long to complete once we get started on it.
00:09:00.520 Yeah, Tamara, I mean, you're at the food bank. So you really see just how hard hit this country
00:09:08.620 is by just 10, 11 years now of Eastern Canadians rewarding liberal failures by re-electing them
00:09:17.300 over and over again. You really get to see where the rubber meets the road on those things. Yeah,
00:09:23.320 go ahead. It has been a real eye-opening experience. And not only that, but I see now
00:09:29.960 a lot of people that I know and used to work with that are coming through the doors. And I'm seeing
00:09:35.620 a large number of new Canadians also. But it really goes to show you the state of the economy
00:09:45.340 and how it's affecting Canadians. Yeah, it just sucks. And yeah, I'm not entirely convinced
00:09:54.300 as Western Canadians we can vote our way out of this mess. And that's the problem with Confederation
00:10:00.780 that frustrates so many people. Chris, give us an update on Big Red because it's just the most
00:10:09.540 iconic truck in Canada. I know the state wants it or wanted it. Tell us what's going on there
00:10:15.760 because I get a lot of emails saying like, Sheila, can you tell me what's happening with Big Red?
00:10:20.000 So tell us what's happening with Big Red. No, I am. I'm probably one of the most proudest Canadians
00:10:24.540 to be able to drive this truck daily and make a living with this truck. I've owned this truck
00:10:28.920 for 22 years. I bought it in November 26th of 2003. My son Jonathan was seven months old
00:10:36.040 in the passenger seat. It's first passenger. We've been fighting this battle out. Of course,
00:10:41.640 they introduced the forfeiture in April after our mischief guilty verdicts. And we've been fighting
00:10:47.960 this out in court ever since. We get to find out the summary dismissal motion on Friday,
00:10:53.180 December 19th. The judge will announce her stay on it. The lawyers have, I hopefully have painted
00:10:58.260 her kind of into a corner where she has to throw this out. There's no merit for it. It's never
00:11:03.080 happened in Canadian history where the federal government has tried to forfeit a piece of
00:11:06.780 equipment allegedly used in the act of a crime four years after the fact and from different
00:11:13.120 jurisdictions. So the case precedent going forward for this and other Canadians should really scare
00:11:17.780 the living daylights out of most people. We'll find that out on Friday. Of course, I'll be stuck
00:11:23.160 in a snowstorm in probably Minnesota on my way home here. So I'll be zooming in from my phone from the
00:11:28.960 peacefulness of Big Red while we find this decision out.
00:11:33.880 And if I could just add to that, Sheila, you know, it's very telling. We were in court and the
00:11:40.420 crime prosecutor literally said when Brendan Miller challenged him on his jurisdiction,
00:11:47.360 they said if they lose this forfeiture application in Ontario, that they're going to proceed in
00:11:52.100 Saskatchewan. And basically they said they're not going to, there's nothing that's going to stop
00:11:56.760 them from trying to get this truck. Now, the most concerning thing about that is we're seeing
00:12:02.780 violent offenders, criminal cases, sexual assault cases being thrown out of Ontario courts.
00:12:11.380 Because they're, it's taking too long. So they're being Jordaned out or the, they just, they just don't
00:12:16.700 have the money. The attorney general's office, it's, it's just, just doesn't have the budget to
00:12:20.780 prosecute all these cases. So to continue the prosecution of our case, not just with the
00:12:27.560 forfeiture order, but with the appeals and the counter appeals is a decision that somebody is making
00:12:33.320 money. Right. At the taxpayer expense.
00:12:35.820 It just astounds me. Like why? Well, I think we all know why. Because the truck is one of the,
00:12:46.900 I think, most recognizable symbols of peaceful resistance in this country. And we can't allow
00:12:52.860 that to live on. They're deleting the convoy records because they're deciding that they're
00:12:58.000 transitory. So now they're going to try to delete the truck too. Just rewriting history in real time.
00:13:03.880 Um, and these people, they aren't going around trying to crush the drug dealer's car. He gets to
00:13:10.500 park it while he goes to jail for three days, maybe. And then he gets to jump back in it and then drive
00:13:17.800 around and sell poisons in your community. But we have to crush the truck that feeds Chris's family.
00:13:25.760 I just find it so political and appalling.
00:13:29.240 Well, I want to remind everybody too.
00:13:30.660 It's unprecedented.
00:13:32.740 At the end of January in 2022, end of January in 2022, police led us onto Wellington in this truck.
00:13:40.540 Tamara was in the passenger seat. My son, Jonathan, and my little dog, Zippy, who sound asleep on the
00:13:44.800 passenger seat right now. Police led us on there. They parked us in front of the Supreme Court of Canada.
00:13:50.180 The truck was parked in the turning lane with one empty lane to the left and two empty lanes to the right.
00:13:55.780 It wasn't impeding traffic at all. When they asked me to move the truck, I listened to police direction and I moved the truck.
00:14:02.500 So we listened to authorities. We did, you know, how is this even possible? I got a message from somebody on social media last night.
00:14:09.640 And I kind of, I, it kind of hit me a little bit. How are you not bitter with your current situation and how the government is treating you?
00:14:16.500 How do you keep it under wraps and put a brave face going forward? And I had to reply back when I say, I, I really fight that sometimes.
00:14:23.660 There's a bitterness and an anger inside me that boils sometimes just with the state of our situation and the lack of people that are waking up in this country and seeing what's actually going on.
00:14:32.400 But at the end of the day, you know, I've got, I've got a son that I need to be a role model to.
00:14:37.780 You had a daughter that looks up to me. You got to keep that brave face on and keep pushing forward. And I think that's the main point of it.
00:14:43.660 Yes, it is sometimes hard to stay positive. But again, the whole purpose of lawfare is literally to bankrupt and demoralize you. And nobody can control that. You know, we control our perspective. We control what we can do with our time. And like I've said before, nobody can really take my freedom away.
00:15:03.820 My freedom comes from God. And so I can be locked up in my home, but that doesn't make me any less free. And I refuse to let them demoralize me. I'm just, and I'm not a negative person. But I mean, yeah, it is frustrating at times, you know, like I said earlier, watching some of these people just get, you know, recycled through the justice system.
00:15:23.640 And, and, you know, I've said it's, it's, it's what the biggest eye opener for me, I feel is that all these institutions that I was raised to believe, were implemented to give me a voice to protect me to make sure that my rights were protected, aren't designed to protect my rights. The legal system in Canada is not designed to protect people like myself and Chris Barber. And you were talking about them deleting these documents, there are civil suits before the courts, right?
00:15:53.620 Right now. Ours is one of them for the bank freezes. And so could you imagine if we were deleting evidence, we'd be in a jail cell already.
00:16:02.740 Right. Now, Chris, before we move on, what happens, what happens to your family? What happens to your business if they take Big Red?
00:16:15.440 I don't know. I guess we find a way to move on. I can tell you one thing that I will fight to my last breath for this truck. This is something that, you know, I, I remember,
00:16:23.620 taking the loan out for this truck. It was the biggest loan I'd had in my life and, and fought through payments on this truck for five years.
00:16:29.740 And I worked my tail off and here we are 22 years later and, you know, three, 3.4 million kilometers on this truck.
00:16:37.680 This truck should by all rights should be retired, but I spend so much time fixing and maintenancing it.
00:16:42.740 I just changed the oil and did a maintenance on it on Sunday before I left.
00:16:45.740 And all the time I'm doing this, I'm thinking, you know, I'm, I'm still putting money into this truck, something that the government's trying to take and destroy.
00:16:53.280 And we find a path forward. Um, but I will tell you this, that I will fight to my last breath over this truck.
00:16:58.420 This is, this is my line in the sand. They've run us through the, through the ground in the courts, lawfare at its finest.
00:17:03.820 They've demoralized us and tried to demonize us in every media front in this country.
00:17:08.160 And, uh, and now they're trying to go for the jugular, I guess, on the last blow.
00:17:12.440 And I will fight to the last breath on this. This is my line in the sand. Unfortunately, I,
00:17:17.900 you have to stand for something in this country and acknowledge that the government has gone so far out of line
00:17:23.320 that eventually they have to correct themselves. How do these crown prosecutors sleep at night?
00:17:28.580 How do they go home and look their families in the eye and say, I did Canada a solid today. You know, I, I just don't see it. And it makes me sick.
00:17:36.600 And it's just so obviously petty and vindictive. Like, it's like, it's like we're dealing with, I don't know, middle school, you know, it's, it's even sitting in that courtroom sometimes and listening to some of the things and the accusations, like the wild accusations that were coming out of the crown's mouth. I, I just kept, you know, like, who are you people?
00:17:58.720 I've asked that so many times because you are not, we are not the same.
00:18:03.300 He, he even brought his family to court one day and introduced, I got to shake his wife's hand and his, his two boys hands. And I thought to myself, I'm like, is this like the human side of this person? Why would you bring your family and then introduce me to them?
00:18:17.680 And I kind of off guard a little bit. And then I, of course, I shook all the hands and, you know, said hi. And, and here we are now. I just driving down the road, when they introduced the forfeiture hearing, I'd actually was pulling an oversized load.
00:18:31.500 I couldn't get off the road safely. So I actually had to log into the court and just put the phone on the dash with my hands for you, just like I'm doing right now. And the judge agreed to let it go because I was working and I was kind of in a bad position.
00:18:42.860 But, you know, driving down the highway, pulling a 30 foot wide load and having the crown, hearing the words come out of his mouth, the crown is applying for the forfeiture of the truck.
00:18:51.360 And I almost didn't know what to do. You know, you feel so when does it end? When, when does this, this bitterness and hatred end from our government towards people that just stood up?
00:19:04.560 We just stood up two years of COVID mandates and people having their lives completely trashed and people eventually people had to say enough.
00:19:12.300 And then we did. And this is what they do to you in return. It's just, it's, it's a new level of sickness.
00:19:17.180 Especially when all the evidence that keeps, keeps coming out and continues to come out, proves that we were right.
00:19:25.020 We were right.
00:19:25.760 And, and as much as it is about you too, it is about everybody else not getting any ideas, inconvenient ideas.
00:19:33.960 So that's why they have to thoroughly destroy you, which I don't think that they will ever do because I think you two have unbreakable spirits.
00:19:43.500 But just going back to something Tamara said, where you're sort of disillusioned by all these institutions that were, you thought were supposed to exist to defend your rights that are God given.
00:19:55.340 That I think is one of the worst things about COVID.
00:19:59.520 And I don't think we will fully understand the damage of it all for years to come.
00:20:05.080 And that is all the people that you would think would be in positions of management and leadership because they had a sense of right and wrong and black and white.
00:20:16.740 They weren't yes men.
00:20:18.100 They weren't morally ambiguous.
00:20:20.180 Those were the people who were run out of town, who were pushed out of their careers in policing, in the military, in law enforcement, in academia, because they didn't go along to get along.
00:20:34.280 And so now the only people left in positions of management in our cultural institutions and safety institutions are the people who just would do whatever they were told.
00:20:46.300 And I think the damage to society and those institutions, we're not even going to know how bad it is for years to come.
00:20:52.620 The entitlement of Canadians right now and the conditioning of society is all but destroyed so much.
00:21:01.140 How many people in Christmas in a few weeks from now or another week from now won't be celebrating a Christmas meal together because of what the government has told family members to hate other family members?
00:21:10.940 That's the sad part of the year that we're coming into right now and people still can't see it.
00:21:14.880 My family's been affected.
00:21:16.220 I don't know too many families that haven't been affected.
00:21:18.520 Yeah.
00:21:22.620 I was very fortunate in my case.
00:21:26.400 My family, out of my entire family, and I come from a large family, there was only three of us that never got vaccinated, but we never let it get between us or affect our relationships at all.
00:21:38.480 Yeah, same.
00:21:39.420 Christmas isn't my house almost all the time.
00:21:42.060 Like all the...
00:21:43.200 So I don't discriminate.
00:21:45.020 And if you're going to discriminate, you're not welcome, but I have a, my family's otherwise pretty cool.
00:21:50.460 Now, now, Chris, how do people, I said I would only occupy 20 minutes of your time because you're a working man.
00:21:57.640 You got to get back out on there.
00:21:59.040 You got to make the things go around.
00:22:00.680 Tell us how people can support your legal battle to keep your vehicle and keep your livelihood.
00:22:12.680 Two different fronts to this right now.
00:22:14.700 The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms has been with us right from the start.
00:22:17.720 They're funding, they funded a lot of my criminal trial in Ottawa.
00:22:21.220 They're funding our $300 million lawsuit right now that Tamara and I are a part of against downtown lawyer Paul Champ, as well as the Democracy Fund.
00:22:28.840 Make sure the Democracy Fund gets their info there, too.
00:22:32.820 GCCS has been with us right from the start.
00:22:34.960 We've had a little, a couple of fundraisers around home to help with travel expenses.
00:22:39.360 And, of course, if anybody wants to see Big Red merch, there's a website design.
00:22:44.020 I've got an amazing lady in northern Saskatchewan that looks after all the website.
00:22:47.400 And then we've been, we've been supporting a little bit of the SPCA and our local home community with some of the money coming in from that.
00:22:54.440 So we went there to donate some stuff and came home with a dog and a cat.
00:22:58.220 So remember, everyone, it's Christmas season and there's those animals at the SPCA that need our help, too.
00:23:05.000 But bigredmerch.ca, there's a store there in the menu and you can go get a hoodie or a small fringe minority hoodie, stickers, a lot of stuff there.
00:23:13.500 It's been unbelievable to see the support.
00:23:15.000 We did a run of calendars here about two weeks ago and they sold out so fast.
00:23:18.940 We had to order another set of calendars and they sold out within four hours.
00:23:22.680 So we're done with the calendars for now.
00:23:24.400 We appreciate all the support.
00:23:26.020 My girl that does all this stuff has been working her tail off like day and night trying to get all this stuff out before the Christmas holidays.
00:23:32.340 But, no, I appreciate everything.
00:23:34.120 And everybody reaching out as I'm sitting in the parking lot.
00:23:36.520 I'm here watching guys drive by and recognize the truck sitting here.
00:23:40.160 Thank goodness I got it washed and cleaned in North Dakota last night.
00:23:42.740 So, at least it's nice and shiny for the day.
00:23:46.500 That's great.
00:23:47.960 You know, Chris, I'm just so pleased that you were able to come on the show.
00:23:51.720 Anytime.
00:23:52.140 I'm just so grateful for everything that you've done for Canadians and continuing to just give back and to not be demoralized, even though I believe that's the whole point.
00:24:03.520 Tamera Leach, I look forward to seeing your little happy face in our morning meetings.
00:24:12.360 Yes.
00:24:13.300 And don't forget I'm going to come do some tag-along training with you.
00:24:17.840 Absolutely.
00:24:18.220 We'll have to get that organized.
00:24:19.960 I heard a rumor that Rebel's supposed to come to the farm with Tamera and you or Lees or somebody and do an interview with Big Red live in the shop.
00:24:26.620 Is that true?
00:24:27.360 Is that happening?
00:24:27.920 It is now, brother.
00:24:31.040 It could happen.
00:24:32.400 Anytime.
00:24:32.840 Oh, okay.
00:24:34.700 Well, yes, of course.
00:24:36.460 Sitting in a machine shop, drinking beers, talking politics.
00:24:40.940 There might be beer that happens in that shop.
00:24:43.160 It's usually a Saturday event.
00:24:44.880 We're working on equipment and the neighbors always stop by for a visit.
00:24:47.580 So, we have to get our work done in the morning early and then afternoons are usually a visit session.
00:24:51.480 So, anytime.
00:24:52.420 The shop is always open.
00:24:54.300 Perfect.
00:24:54.700 That sounds like just my Saturdays but in a different province.
00:24:58.680 So, I can't wait.
00:25:01.540 Thanks, guys.
00:25:02.920 Chris, I'll let you get back on the road.
00:25:04.260 Tamera, I know you've got to get off to your community service.
00:25:09.480 Doing a hard time, Sheila?
00:25:10.760 I know.
00:25:11.540 Hard time.
00:25:12.640 Hardened.
00:25:13.240 Thanks.
00:25:13.840 Hardened criminals.
00:25:15.160 Have a great day.
00:25:15.900 And Merry Christmas, Chris, if I don't get to speak to you between now and then.
00:25:20.660 Merry Christmas.
00:25:20.960 Thanks, guys.
00:25:21.380 Thanks so much for your show, Sheila.
00:25:23.320 Thanks.
00:25:23.740 Thanks for having us, Sheila.
00:25:24.660 Well, friends.
00:25:32.580 The third portion of the show always belongs to you because without you, there's no rebel news.
00:25:38.000 So, of course, you know, I have to care what you say about the work that we do or the little stunts that we pull because I pulled a little stunt.
00:25:50.160 And my little stunt, it's making its way to the top of the Amazon charts.
00:25:56.580 And I think I confused some of you because some of you actually thought that I was an avowed federalist when I did this video right here.
00:26:08.220 Hey, everyone.
00:26:09.620 Sheila Gunn-Reed here, and I'm thrilled to introduce the two books that I just wrote, and I use that word pretty loosely, meet The Case for Confederation, Alberta's Compelling Reasons to Stick Around, and The Case for Confederation, Saskatchewan's Compelling Reasons to Stick Around.
00:26:28.240 Two beautifully bound volumes packed with every strong promise and well-researched argument for why Alberta and Saskatchewan should stay within the confines of Canada.
00:26:39.680 And by packed, I mean the pages are blank.
00:26:43.540 These two books are completely empty because when I went looking for Ottawa's case to keep the prairies or rather for us to stay, that's exactly what I found.
00:26:52.240 Nothing.
00:26:53.240 Flip through either book, and you'll reach the same conclusion I did.
00:26:57.240 If the federal government has a convincing argument, it didn't make it into the pages of my book or into reality, for that matter.
00:27:06.080 These books will make the perfect gift for your favorite prairie firebrand, your CBC-soaked liberal co-worker, or anyone who still insists equalization is fair.
00:27:15.340 Or how about for that guy who yells elbows up every time pipelines or canola or potash comes up.
00:27:21.440 And look, even if Ottawa won't offer Alberta or Saskatchewan much, these blank books can, because they're lined.
00:27:29.660 They double as notebooks, instantly making them more useful than any federal promise since 1905.
00:27:36.940 Get your copies today at thecaseforconfederation.com.
00:27:40.900 Order now to get yours in time for Christmas.
00:27:43.680 Again, that's thecaseforconfederation.com.
00:27:47.400 So, I wrote two books.
00:27:53.120 I didn't exactly write them, but I schemed up a little idea and I thought, wouldn't it be great to have these two little empty books, which basically they're stationary.
00:28:03.700 Fun notebooks go to the top of the Amazon chart in whatever category that it might land in.
00:28:09.840 I think it's politics right now.
00:28:12.480 It's headed up there.
00:28:13.940 And with your help, it'll get a little higher.
00:28:15.640 That's why we sort of price them affordably at, you know, 10 bucks a pop.
00:28:22.760 But yeah, some of you were confused at me.
00:28:26.260 Some people didn't finish watching the promo and then sent me angry emails to sheila at rebelnews.com.
00:28:34.360 If you want to send me an angry email or a happy email, send it there.
00:28:37.460 But some of you watched to the end and I thought I would go through your feedback about what you thought about my two books on the case for Confederation.
00:28:47.040 One on Alberta and one on Saskatchewan.
00:28:50.780 And of course, there is no case for Confederation.
00:28:54.260 And you can get your book at thecaseforconfederation.com.
00:28:57.800 If you order it today, it'll be here in time for Christmas.
00:29:01.100 And they're printed in Alberta.
00:29:04.420 West of the city, in fact.
00:29:06.000 Anyway, so on my video launch, we've got Emotionally Exhausted saying there's still more factual content in those pages than anything I've heard a liberal say for the past decade.
00:29:18.040 Free Alberta.
00:29:18.880 Yeah.
00:29:19.900 Yeah.
00:29:20.160 Michael Knight V6G says everyone should buy a copy and gift it to Carney.
00:29:26.560 Just buy a copy.
00:29:28.800 Because how fun is it to have an empty book about liberal lies get to the top of the Amazon charts?
00:29:38.520 You know, it's fun.
00:29:40.160 And it's useful.
00:29:45.860 Like, it's a notebook.
00:29:47.780 You know, and it's a fun stocking stuffer.
00:29:50.340 You get it and you're like, oh, the case for Confederation.
00:29:52.720 You open up and it's empty.
00:29:54.240 Fun.
00:29:54.640 And I can't really, I can't really enjoy that because my entire family knows the joke.
00:30:03.560 You know, I can't put it in their stockings because they're like, yeah, we know the joke, mom.
00:30:08.820 There's no joke.
00:30:10.940 So if you could help me out, that'd be great.
00:30:12.420 But, uh, SMM, oh, I get it.
00:30:17.860 I get it.
00:30:18.320 It says Smokin writes, if you thought of this, Sheila, I did.
00:30:23.100 Legend.
00:30:23.640 Keep up the great work.
00:30:24.440 Your team over there does great work.
00:30:25.800 Thank you for your non-biased reporting.
00:30:27.440 Well, I will correct you there.
00:30:28.480 I'm not non-biased.
00:30:29.760 I'm honest about my bias and that's a little different.
00:30:32.100 And I don't expect you to pay for it if you don't want to.
00:30:35.620 And if you're watching this, you obviously do want to.
00:30:38.120 And I appreciate you for that.
00:30:39.280 Um, but I, I just don't pretend like they do over at the CBC that you don't have a political
00:30:46.820 leaning.
00:30:47.220 Of course I do.
00:30:47.940 I'm conservative.
00:30:48.600 You guys all know that.
00:30:49.820 I believe the arc of the facts bends towards conservatism.
00:30:53.480 And I have yet to be disabused of that opinion by any of the facts over at the CBC.
00:31:00.700 They're lefties.
00:31:01.780 We know they are.
00:31:02.500 They hate conservatives.
00:31:04.060 They're just aren't truthful about that fact, although we can see it.
00:31:07.800 So it's insulting to our intelligence and we're unfortunately forced to pay for it.
00:31:11.100 That's my problem.
00:31:12.740 All right.
00:31:13.520 Can man 5060 says Alberta and Saskatchewan can easily break away from Confederation, leaving
00:31:18.440 BC stretching their neck, looking for any rescue.
00:31:21.540 I don't want to leave BC behind if we do go.
00:31:25.240 I want to leave some of BC behind if we go.
00:31:28.720 But the whole middle and north, they're as conservative as the day is long.
00:31:34.740 The north of BC, they feel very Albertan to me.
00:31:38.060 The middle of BC, that's the Bible Belt.
00:31:41.260 Merit, Country Music Hall of Fame.
00:31:43.400 I could be the mayor of Merit in six weeks if I really worked at it.
00:31:47.900 I could hit the ground running there.
00:31:49.400 The ranch country.
00:31:50.260 Yeah, it's just like Cochrane, Alberta, but west.
00:31:59.940 And PK Johnston says, ordered both books for my library.
00:32:05.020 Well, thank you so much.
00:32:07.480 Timothy Jones says, Timothy Jones 3313, sorry, says donate them to the House of Commons library.
00:32:13.260 Love Travel 2927 says, oh my god, best books ever, way to go.
00:32:20.300 Daryl Joe Nazo 9105, love it.
00:32:24.020 Martin Friesen 2247, love it.
00:32:26.460 Susan Blate, Susan Blue Lake, pardon me, excellent, love it.
00:32:30.900 And they are already number one bestseller on Amazon.
00:32:34.280 While we're working on it.
00:32:35.200 KTodd 4883 says, cheeky, before you said it, I figured blank paged books would explain it succinctly.
00:32:45.360 Drew Mitchell 90, or sorry, Drew Mitchell 5095, exactly 100%.
00:32:50.660 Canada's confederation offers nothing to Alberta, Saskatchewan, but economic disaster and disrespect.
00:32:55.280 Independence is the future for the West.
00:32:58.020 I'm not even saying independence is the future.
00:32:59.980 I'm saying it is the choice for Albertans and Saskatchewanites, Saskies, to make.
00:33:07.320 And no one should stand in their way.
00:33:09.240 And if they do choose to leave, it's because the feds offered us nothing.
00:33:13.300 Worse than nothing.
00:33:15.000 They offered us punishment.
00:33:19.480 I think that's it.
00:33:20.960 I mean, thank you for the glowing reviews so far.
00:33:24.920 If you are so inclined, you can order the books at thecaseforconfederation.com or on Amazon.
00:33:32.800 Just search my author name or the name of the book and help my cheeky little notebook get to the top of the Amazon bestseller charts.
00:33:42.080 I mean, you helped my buddy, Lise, get Buck the Rainbow Unicorn to the top of the Amazon children's charts.
00:33:48.580 Would you mind doing me a little favor and getting me there, too?
00:33:52.480 Thanks, guys.
00:33:53.500 Okay, well, everybody, that's the show for today.
00:33:55.100 Thank you so much for tuning in.
00:33:56.320 I'll see everybody back here in the same time, in the same place next week.
00:34:00.520 It will be a pre-recorded show, though.
00:34:02.860 So it'll be evergreen.
00:34:05.200 But I cannot let you down.
00:34:07.160 I've never missed a show.
00:34:07.940 I'm not about to start now.
00:34:08.940 So same time, same place next week.
00:34:10.920 And as always, remember, don't let the government tell you that you've had too much to think.
00:34:18.580 I'm not about to start now.
