Rebel News Podcast - SHEILA GUNN REID ｜ David Menzies on the Transgender rugby saga in Fergus Ontario

00:00:00.240 Women's sports are being slowly euthanized. 0.55

00:00:03.400 Who's responsible?

00:00:04.560 Is it the women allowing it to happen, 1.00

00:00:06.400 or the men who refuse to stand up for women,

00:00:09.240 or the men who keep stealing our opportunities?

00:00:12.020 I'm Sheila Gunn-Reed, and you're watching The Gunn Show.

00:00:30.000 Mr. Davis, Ash, why are you doing this?

00:00:38.840 I'm David Menzies, Rebel News.

00:00:40.220 Hi, no, you're not really a part of this.

00:00:42.780 Human rights!

00:00:43.520 What about the human rights of biological women 0.99

00:00:45.620 being injured by this man?

00:00:47.520 As a mother, why would you expose your kids to a misogynist? 1.00

00:00:50.280 Because that is my partner!

00:00:52.560 That is my wife that you are being a... 1.00

00:00:55.600 Sorry, he's a lesbian? 1.00

00:00:57.460 It's not a sport. 0.76

00:00:58.660 It's not an issue.

00:01:00.560 I'm a registered social worker, sir,

00:01:02.100 and I demand human rights for everybody.

00:01:04.440 Oh, okay.

00:01:07.940 Yeah, what's a biological female? 1.00

00:01:10.000 How do you feel about a biological male

00:01:11.840 playing in rugby men?

00:01:12.840 Thank you! 0.68

00:01:13.540 I don't really give a f***, everybody! 0.83

00:01:16.340 Okay. 0.95

00:01:17.020 I don't know what is a crime anymore.

00:01:19.120 Well, sometimes we all ask ourselves that, right?

00:01:22.620 As the mom of a female athlete,

00:01:24.260 I think that is some of the most important journalism work

00:01:27.160 done here at Rebel News.

00:01:28.660 Over the past year, I think post-pandemic.

00:01:32.100 That's my friend and colleague, David Menzies,

00:01:35.440 trying to get to the bottom of what's going on in Fergus, Ontario.

00:01:40.000 On the Highlanders rugby team, you see there's a male athlete

00:01:45.480 named Ash Davis, or who calls himself Ash Davis,

00:01:51.040 who has decided that he is deep down in his soul a woman.

00:01:56.280 You see, he says he has a woman's soul, despite his very male body.

00:02:02.380 And he has gone from being the hardest hitter on the male senior team

00:02:08.160 to, I guess, obviously the hardest hitter on the female senior team. 1.00

00:02:12.300 And women are being hurt and silenced. 0.53

00:02:17.080 The women who are forced to compete against him are being put at risk.

00:02:20.780 And the women who feel morally obligated to speak out 1.00

00:02:27.580 are being bullied into silence by men telling them to sit down

00:02:31.760 and shut up and just take it. 0.89

00:02:34.260 Joining me tonight to talk about all of this and more 0.98

00:02:38.640 is my friend and colleague, David Menzies.

00:02:41.960 Take a listen.

00:02:49.900 Last weekend, three, yes, three women's rugby players

00:02:52.960 had to be removed from a game and treated for injuries

00:02:55.480 from hits sustained by a trans woman. 0.70

00:02:57.320 It literally couldn't be easier for this guy.

00:03:04.100 Notice the reaction that he gets from the other teammates of Ash.

00:03:08.360 Desperately trying to protect Ash from having to face the public.

00:03:12.460 This is the trans woman this string is about.

00:03:15.180 That guy looks like he could be the ref.

00:03:17.340 What the is he doing?

00:03:19.700 And the second one is why are these women defending him? 0.93

00:03:23.020 There is something in the water there

00:03:24.680 that is making people go insane in this town.

00:03:27.320 I really wish that the female players who are upset about this 0.93

00:03:31.680 would start standing up to this insanity.

00:03:34.780 What gets me, and I've just realized this,

00:03:36.640 okay, the fathers that are okay with their daughters competing against men,

00:03:40.460 and that video very clearly shows that the men in attendance

00:03:43.380 are all okay with this.

00:03:45.340 Yeah, they're going to equity and tolerance our mothers, 0.99

00:03:47.740 daughters, and sisters right into a bunch of wheelchairs 1.00

00:03:50.040 or an early grave.

00:03:52.160 I understand Mr. Davis was the hardest-hitting player

00:03:55.300 on the men's team last year, sir.

00:03:57.320 How is he being allowed to play against biological females? 1.00

00:04:00.780 You're disgusting. 1.00

00:04:01.800 Get out of my food. 1.00

00:04:02.620 Stay the f*** away from me, man. 0.99

00:04:04.060 I heard what you were saying before. 0.99

00:04:05.400 I think the idea is that you're not being tolerant of other people's beliefs.

00:04:08.260 You think everyone has to believe what you believe.

00:04:09.980 I think we should just be tolerant.

00:04:14.260 Ladies, what do you think about Mr. Davis injuring biological females? 1.00

00:04:18.320 Ash, is it true that you were voted the hardest hitter on the male team

00:04:25.560 that you played for last year?

00:04:27.300 You're the ref.

00:04:28.020 You should be calling this.

00:04:29.920 I will be calling a very safe game, sir.

00:04:31.440 Thank you.

00:04:31.980 Keep walking if you don't have good fun.

00:04:33.500 Okay, then.

00:04:34.020 Oh, really?

00:04:35.660 Including a male player injuring female players.

00:04:37.920 That's okay with you?

00:04:38.740 What's wrong with that?

00:04:40.180 You don't have to talk to the players.

00:04:41.560 Please don't touch me.

00:04:42.500 Are you with the local media?

00:04:44.420 This guy, Ash Davis, he, three women on the Stony Creek Camel Team

00:04:49.200 had to be carted off the field.

00:04:51.440 How is that safe?

00:04:52.780 He's a biological male.

00:04:54.260 You know what?

00:04:54.680 That's not true.

00:04:55.320 Mr. Davis, why are you doing this?

00:05:00.620 You were voted the hardest hitter on the male team last year.

00:05:05.260 Doesn't that make things even more lethal for the biological females 1.00

00:05:08.460 that you were injuring?

00:05:10.840 Oh, okay.

00:05:12.480 Okay, okay.

00:05:13.380 I can't answer that question right now.

00:05:15.680 Oh, I see these ladies telling you not to talk. 1.00

00:05:19.140 You're taking orders from these rugby players, sir.

00:05:22.640 I'm just here to watch a rugby game.

00:05:24.860 So why is this being tolerated, ma'am?

00:05:26.900 Because, um, they're not a male.

00:05:29.600 They, they.

00:05:30.980 Oh, it's a they. 1.00

00:05:32.380 How about yourself, sir?

00:05:33.300 Do you agree with a biological male playing against biological females?

00:05:42.880 Looks like you're giggling.

00:05:47.520 Weird world, isn't it, sir?

00:05:49.160 It's a sticky situation, that's right.

00:05:50.880 Okay, have a good weekend.

00:05:54.860 It's technically harassment of the Ontario penal code.

00:05:58.080 Oh, you don't.

00:05:58.980 Do you know?

00:05:59.760 Really?

00:06:00.420 So joining me now is my friend and colleague, David Menzies,

00:06:03.160 who has become one of the greatest advocates in this country

00:06:06.080 for fairness in women's sport.

00:06:08.380 Uh, he's been on the trail of the trans-identified, non-binary, biological male rugby player from

00:06:17.300 Fergus, Ontario, who plays on the Fergus Highlanders.

00:06:19.560 His name is Ash Davis.

00:06:21.680 Uh, David has just been really dogged in this.

00:06:25.600 And like I said, uh, shocking, but not all that shocking because you're a man who cares deeply

00:06:30.500 about fairness.

00:06:31.120 And I think you kind of like us women, but you, you are, uh, I think one of the strongest 0.97

00:06:36.980 advocates for women in sport in this entire country.

00:06:39.460 How did this come to be, David?

00:06:41.020 Oh, what a great question.

00:06:43.620 I mean, the very fact that David the Menzoid Menzies would be Canada's foremost feminist 0.99

00:06:48.580 when it comes to...

00:06:49.740 Especially when you have like Archie Bunker vibes.

00:06:53.100 Oh, a hundred percent.

00:06:54.400 I'll take that as a, uh, as a compliment, Sheila.

00:06:57.500 But, um, it, it is staggering.

00:07:00.080 Uh, you are referring to, I guess it's a viral video, isn't it?

00:07:03.740 Of what happened in Fergus on July 22nd when Ace Cameraman and super producer Efren and

00:07:11.020 I went to Fergus to see firsthand what was almost unbelievable, which was a male.

00:07:19.140 And I'm, you know, don't get any illusions, folks.

00:07:22.020 I know when it comes to trans and non-binary, some guys like to give it the good old college

00:07:27.460 try of trying to come across as a male, I think of Busty Lemieux at the Halton District

00:07:33.040 School Board, you know, with the Zed Cup fake breasts. 1.00

00:07:35.940 Well, he claims they're real, but that's another story.

00:07:38.160 Uh, the blonde wig, the, um, the skin tight cycling shorts, but Ash Davis, Sheila, as you

00:07:46.420 well know, he doesn't do anything.

00:07:48.460 He's got an Adam's apple.

00:07:50.060 He's, it looks like he's suffering from the onset of male pattern baldness, got a little

00:07:55.240 bulge where a woman shouldn't have a little bulge. 1.00

00:07:58.300 Um, and then of course there's the impossible to ignore thigh muscles and arm muscles.

00:08:04.920 And he is literally, Sheila, I would say a bio weapon. 0.79

00:08:08.960 He is a biological male playing against biological females and his team mates, as you know, they 0.81

00:08:17.360 are so woke.

00:08:19.300 They have been so brainwashed via indoctrination.

00:08:23.640 They see no problem with this.

00:08:25.600 They, they, you know, they went hysterical when Efren and I approached them chanting trans 1.00

00:08:31.780 rights, uh, or sorry, uh, trans women are real women and, uh, uh, human rights for all.

00:08:37.620 You couldn't have a conversation with them.

00:08:39.380 Some of them were cheering up, by the way, in your descriptor of Ash, you forgot one, which

00:08:44.160 is lesbian because this woman, uh, in a hysterical state came running up to us and declared that 1.00

00:08:50.280 she is Ash's wife.

00:08:52.080 So I'm thinking, okay, she's obviously a biological woman because I do see the presence of kids. 0.88

00:08:57.840 So if she's Ash's wife and Ash is a woman and it's a woman who loves another woman, that's

00:09:04.100 a lesbian, right? 1.00

00:09:05.380 Or is there some new category out there, Sheila?

00:09:08.100 But I have to tell you, um, we received some feedback, uh, which was, why didn't you ask

00:09:16.720 the opposing team?

00:09:17.800 In that case, it was, uh, the woman from Burlington.

00:09:19.920 What did they think on the sidelines?

00:09:22.120 We did, we couldn't get any comments and near the change room.

00:09:25.520 We did offer Burlington, uh, ladies to come on camera. 0.96

00:09:29.000 They all declined, uh, at least politely.

00:09:31.200 So when we went the following week, uh, Sheila, on July 29th to Waterloo to see Fergus play

00:09:39.520 the Waterloo team, uh, I made it, uh, a special mission to go to the Waterloo woman, Waterloo

00:09:45.860 woman directly and say, um, what are your feelings on this?

00:09:51.280 And it was a hostile response.

00:09:53.820 Uh, they were, you know, some were saying profanities, um, others were defaulting to,

00:10:00.900 you know, the trans woman, a real woman thing.

00:10:03.420 A lot of them, I didn't pick it up at first.

00:10:05.160 They were pointing to their wrists.

00:10:06.540 And then when I watched the video closely after the fact, I went, holy macro, uh, some of them

00:10:12.440 were wearing the, uh, I guess the symbol of the trans community, the pink baby blue and

00:10:19.000 white, uh, rainbow.

00:10:21.780 And there were others who, well, um, they weren't saying anything at all.

00:10:26.860 Now here's where it gets very interesting, Sheila, and it's leading to a follow-up story.

00:10:33.060 Why were the women that weren't taking a stance for Ash Davis, why weren't they saying anything?

00:10:40.740 Were they camera shy or was it something else?

00:10:43.440 Well, Sheila, turns out it was something else because a source who will not, uh, be identified,

00:10:49.000 uh, because we do live in cancel culture.

00:10:51.740 That's the way it is, folks, as you know, um, this person shared with me, uh, an email

00:10:58.660 that was sent out by Josh Windsor.

00:11:03.380 He is the president of the Waterloo County Rugby Club.

00:11:09.440 And basically it was laying down the riot act.

00:11:12.400 Um, you know, Ash Davis, uh, being, uh, you know, on the field with the other Fergus

00:11:18.700 players, this is all about the Canadian charter of human rights and the Ontario human rights

00:11:24.020 code and, um, rugby Canada's trans inclusion policy, yada, yada, yada, yada.

00:11:30.700 And then he ends it with a two prong threat, Sheila.

00:11:34.960 And this absolutely blows me away and completely explains why those ladies who are upset about 1.00

00:11:42.900 being victimized, kept their mouth shut.

00:11:45.640 And I'll read verbatim.

00:11:47.700 This is from Mr. Windsor.

00:11:49.240 Okay.

00:11:49.620 President of the Waterloo Rugby Club, any act or behavior that is deemed to be discriminatory

00:11:56.620 and in contravention to these laws and policies will result in immediate expulsion from the

00:12:05.120 Waterloo County Rugby Club.

00:12:07.540 And then Sheila, here's the other shoe that drops any act or behavior that is deemed to 0.81

00:12:15.180 be motivated by hate will be immediately reported to police. 0.70

00:12:22.180 Can you imagine, uh, Sheila, this woke wimp, this censorious thug, a biological male himself, 0.76

00:12:30.220 although maybe I better ask him to make sure, but that's a moot point. 0.88

00:12:33.360 He won't return my emails.

00:12:35.500 He threatened these women with suspension from the team, one, and two, what, uh, a weekend

00:12:43.220 in the holding cell at Waterloo Regional Police for hurting the feelings of Ash Davis.

00:12:49.920 This is preposterous.

00:12:51.960 I don't, I'm no wonder no one will come forward and utter response.

00:12:57.540 They're afraid clearly, Sheila, of the repercussions.

00:13:00.560 This is a level of hate that I don't think women have seen in a very, very long time.

00:13:07.760 Um, we've got a man thinking it's his right to co-opt womanhood just by putting on a blue 0.97

00:13:16.720 dress at an awards ceremony.

00:13:19.240 And if it feels it's his right to steal opportunities from women on this team and hurt them because

00:13:26.000 he has hurt women, three of them one time in one game.

00:13:29.120 And then you have women being bullied into absolute silence with threat of criminal charges

00:13:35.200 and expulsion from the sport that they love.

00:13:37.620 If they don't agree to allow themselves to be harmed by Ash Davis.

00:13:42.800 I was saying to you on the live stream earlier before we, uh, filmed this, that, you know,

00:13:48.920 in the olden times, there were periods at which, uh, society deeply hated women and reinforced 0.97

00:13:56.520 it.

00:13:57.000 Let's just go back to the witch trials. 0.63

00:13:58.500 I'm not, I am inclined to believe there were some instances of witchcraft going on, but if

00:14:03.320 you were just like a groovy woman who didn't put her bun up tightly enough, maybe showed 1.00

00:14:07.400 an ankle, maybe was a little bit too friendly with the men folk and knew a little bit too

00:14:11.900 much about folk medicine.

00:14:12.880 Like knowing that willow bark is akin to aspirin as a pain medicine.

00:14:17.320 If you knew a little bit too much about that, you might get yourself accused of witchcraft

00:14:21.260 and dunked in the river.

00:14:22.940 And if you survived, they would dunk you again because the devil clearly helped you survive.

00:14:27.980 There were times at which women were subject to this sort of stuff, but it, you have to 1.00

00:14:35.100 appreciate just how truly reviled women are by these men who steal our opportunities.

00:14:42.540 Think about the level of hatred you have to have for a woman to castrate yourself in a 1.00

00:14:50.280 very public and ritualistic way. 0.99

00:14:52.920 Turn your wiener inside out just so that you could be a better woman than us. 1.00

00:14:57.540 That's a level of hate. 0.96

00:14:58.780 I don't think we've experienced in a very, very long time.

00:15:01.800 A hundred percent.

00:15:03.040 And when it comes to the definition of hate, what, what would be the benchmark for Mr.

00:15:09.120 Windsor to come up with that?

00:15:10.660 If one of the Waterloo players said, you know what?

00:15:15.220 I stand with world rugby, the international governing body, which stated three years ago,

00:15:20.880 Sheila, to its credit, trans woman, i.e.

00:15:23.800 fake woman cannot play with real woman, period. 1.00

00:15:27.460 So Mr. Windsor thinks that saying that will be offensive to the sensibilities of Mr.

00:15:33.500 Davis, who identifies as a lesbian and therefore it's hate speech. 1.00

00:15:37.260 And therefore you're going to the cooler for standing up for your international governing

00:15:41.480 body's rule. 0.99

00:15:42.700 That's a ridiculous. 0.95

00:15:43.840 The second point, Sheila, is this. 0.93

00:15:45.940 Where are the Billie Jean Kings of this world? 0.89

00:15:48.540 I remember Billie Jean King in the early seventies.

00:15:51.820 She fought tirelessly to get prize money for female professional tennis players.

00:15:57.720 Well, not to the equivalent of men, but at least into the ballpark.

00:16:02.320 And where are those feminists today that are advocating for women's sports? 1.00

00:16:09.020 Or is the, I don't know, are we under the third or the fourth wave of feminism? 0.90

00:16:13.440 Are they so woke themselves, Sheila?

00:16:15.860 And this is what I fear, that they too subscribe to trans women are real women.

00:16:20.880 So we'll stand up for a rounding error of individuals on the planet versus, oh, I don't know, about

00:16:28.540 4 billion people, i.e.

00:16:31.560 biological females. 1.00

00:16:33.240 They'll stand up for them and throw the biological females who they are ostensibly supposed to 1.00

00:16:38.920 be representing under the bus.

00:16:41.260 Not in my wildest dreams, Sheila.

00:16:43.320 Did I ever think we would get to this point?

00:16:46.340 But here we are.

00:16:47.800 I don't know how society has ended up where social conservatives like me have more in

00:16:55.540 common with the bra burners of yesteryear.

00:16:58.300 For example, Martina Navratilova, she's in big trouble right now. 0.96

00:17:02.120 She was trailblazing.

00:17:03.960 Excuse me, there's a fly in my studio that I wasn't able to kill.

00:17:07.020 She is a trailblazer in women's sport. 0.51

00:17:10.720 And she is in big, big trouble right now from the likes of that horrible little soccer goblin,

00:17:18.060 Megan Rapinoe, for saying that women's sports, especially women's tennis, is not for failed 0.93

00:17:29.180 male athletes.

00:17:30.360 Yeah.

00:17:30.580 And she is in big trouble for that.

00:17:32.940 But that's exactly what is happening. 0.79

00:17:35.640 We see exactly this when you look at Leah Thomas, liar Thomas, as I call him.

00:17:41.940 Failed male athlete, puts on a one piece instead of a speedo, and all of a sudden he's cleaning

00:17:48.120 the clocks of women who've worked their entire lives to be at the top of their sport.

00:17:53.080 And on the flip side, that little Megan Rapinoe, or whatever her name is, the one who makes 1.00

00:17:58.460 women's soccer almost unwatchable because of the wokeness, plays for USA Soccer, complains 1.00

00:18:06.100 that nobody watches it and then turns away half the viewers because of her politics. 0.90

00:18:11.660 She has said, she's an advocate, to her credit though, an advocate for women's sport.

00:18:17.460 Great.

00:18:18.240 Except for the fact that she says, well, we shouldn't be excluding trans athletes from women's

00:18:22.220 sport.

00:18:22.680 Okay, so you're pushing for the demise of women's sport?

00:18:25.680 I guess you are.

00:18:26.300 Like, it's fascinating to see the feminists of today not realizing that they are overseeing 1.00

00:18:32.300 the demise of women right in front of them.

00:18:34.860 Well, Sheila, you're absolutely right.

00:18:36.820 I mean, if that's her position, and by the way, I have never in my life seen our American

00:18:42.640 cousin south of the border cheer on the early exit of a U.S. national team in any sport than

00:18:49.800 what happened to the women's soccer team thanks to that cancerous element in it. 1.00

00:18:54.320 But getting back to the trans issue, we have to ask ourselves, then why bother segregating

00:19:00.560 male and female sports?

00:19:03.320 Twas ever thus, Sheila, with the exception of sport shooting, equestrian, and auto racing,

00:19:10.120 the gun, the horse, and the automobile being the differentiating factor that makes everyone

00:19:16.680 equal.

00:19:18.680 And I can foresee in our lifetime, if we don't nip this nonsense in the bud, if good men and

00:19:26.560 good women don't come forward and put their foot down and at least enforce the rules of 1.00

00:19:34.360 the world governing body, in this case, rugby.

00:19:36.480 Well, what's going to happen, Sheila, in the decade to come, there'll be the male rugby team

00:19:43.480 will get its roster, and then there'll be the female rugby team. 1.00

00:19:47.860 But with one exception, all the females on the female rugby team are actually biological 1.00

00:19:53.740 males, i.e. the losers that couldn't make the male biological rugby team. 0.90

00:20:00.400 So basically, what you're going to have is rugby team, male team one, and team 1A, which

00:20:08.740 used to be called the female team. 0.72

00:20:11.900 And we can end this with a logical solution, because if anyone's saying, oh, you just don't

00:20:17.200 want trans and non-binary people to have fun on the field.

00:20:20.480 No, we advocate what Linda Blade, the Canadian sports coach, has long been advocating, Sheila,

00:20:26.460 have an other or open division, whatever you want to call it.

00:20:30.520 Anything goes.

00:20:32.020 You're a male that thinks you're a woman. 0.73

00:20:34.140 You're a woman that thinks you're a man. 1.00

00:20:35.640 You're up on steroids.

00:20:37.480 You can't pass the drug test.

00:20:39.340 Who cares?

00:20:40.460 Go for it.

00:20:41.320 I'd pay money to see that.

00:20:43.240 I really would, Sheila, because that's the way we're going.

00:20:46.080 You know, I like to joke that cycling is my primary form of exercise.

00:20:51.340 Uh, the reason, uh, I'm not, uh, you know, right now I'm merely fat as opposed to circus

00:20:57.840 fat, thanks to all the cycling I do.

00:21:00.240 And I would love, I would dearly love, Sheila, to compete in the Tour de France, but I'm nowhere

00:21:06.560 near the caliber of a world-class cyclist.

00:21:09.500 But I have an idea for next summer, Sheila.

00:21:12.140 I'm going to write to the Tour de France committee and I'm going to say, you know what?

00:21:15.500 I have a motorcycle that identifies as a bicycle and I want to compete in the Tour de France

00:21:23.020 with that motorcycle.

00:21:24.660 And not only should I be welcomed, well, you know what?

00:21:27.540 It's good news for you guys too, because I'm going to set world records.

00:21:32.000 I mean, I joke, but just barely.

00:21:36.400 Well, that's the thing.

00:21:37.560 Like I think about Lance Armstrong, if he had just called himself Linda, he could have

00:21:42.100 explained away all the testosterone that he was juicing himself with and he would have

00:21:47.720 been able to maintain his titles.

00:21:49.740 But, you know, I'm old enough to remember when testosterone was a performance enhancing

00:21:54.000 substance, but these days it's, we're just supposed to pretend that it doesn't have a

00:21:59.140 separate effect on the human body.

00:22:02.240 And also, one of the things that I really find disgusting is the treatment of the women 1.00

00:22:08.120 who speak out against this, they are accused of being prudes.

00:22:12.620 I don't know if you saw this from last week, because you were on assignment most of last

00:22:17.540 week.

00:22:17.820 So you might've missed this.

00:22:19.200 Riley Gaines, the female swimmer who was forced to compete against Leah Thomas, basically the 0.99

00:22:24.840 criticism against her after she said, like, we were forced to change with him.

00:22:31.380 Correct.

00:22:31.680 He's, he's naked in the change room, just swinging around like a helicopter in the change

00:22:37.120 room.

00:22:37.320 And she's like, we don't, it was very uncomfortable and we felt unsafe to see it.

00:22:43.300 And the criticism directed at her was that, oh, maybe Riley Gaines hasn't seen enough male 0.94

00:22:50.420 genitals in her lifetime. 0.99

00:22:52.300 Unbelievable.

00:22:52.620 That this was so shocking to her.

00:22:54.720 Like, as though that's Riley Gaines's problem with being forced to change with the man identifying

00:22:59.600 as a female.

00:23:01.020 Unbelievable.

00:23:01.900 And, you know, Sheila, a couple of things about that.

00:23:04.440 First of all, when it comes to, you mentioned two other sports, swimming and tennis, at least

00:23:11.080 those are not contact sports.

00:23:13.180 And that's what makes the rugby thing all the worse is that this is not some dude staying

00:23:18.500 in his own lane.

00:23:19.680 This is not some guy staying on his side of the court.

00:23:23.480 There is full body contact and no protective equipment.

00:23:27.060 Uh, I, I can't think of a more, um, deplorable situation for a female athlete to be in other 1.00

00:23:36.000 than the realm of rugby.

00:23:37.100 If you're competing against men and to show you how society, um, at least those social engineers

00:23:44.920 that are making the rules, uh, for us, Sheila are, um, so in with the woke social engineering. 1.00

00:23:53.320 I always had this dream when it came to Liar Thomas that could you imagine all 10 swimmers

00:23:58.800 line up, the starter's gun goes, he jumps into the pool and all nine biological women 1.00

00:24:04.120 just retreat to the change room.

00:24:06.680 It would be so fun because of course, as, uh, Thomas is swimming, he has no idea.

00:24:11.640 He's the only guy in the pool, literally.

00:24:13.600 And he's going all out.

00:24:15.040 Meanwhile, the only guy in the pool and you last summer, I had the pleasure of meeting

00:24:24.780 the mother of one of the Penn state female swimmers.

00:24:27.880 And I relayed my, my dream to her and she told me, here's why that can't happen.

00:24:34.340 She says, you know, it's, it's a wonderful idea, but here's why it can't happen.

00:24:38.060 Uh, her daughter, as well as the other female swimmers, they're there on a swimming scholarship.

00:24:42.780 You pull a stunt like that, uh, guess what?

00:24:46.740 Your scholarship is revoked.

00:24:48.380 You don't have an education.

00:24:50.160 And by the way, because of the wokesters on campus, what do you want to bet, Sheila, that 1.00

00:24:56.700 those biological women are going to be condemned as the haters, right? 1.00

00:25:00.740 And the bigots, uh, that's what would happen.

00:25:03.920 We are in a really dark place right now when it comes to what I call trans sanity, Sheila. 0.99

00:25:11.060 And it's hard to believe that people of yester decade, I call that, you know, these people

00:25:18.740 that say they're trans or non-binary, et cetera. 0.99

00:25:21.960 I think most of them are mentally ill, quite frankly, Sheila, you can lock me up if you 1.00

00:25:26.000 want to. 0.99

00:25:26.520 But once upon a time, we locked them up for their good and ours.

00:25:29.960 We put them in an asylum. 0.92

00:25:31.260 We put them in a rubber room.

00:25:32.880 We tried to make them better.

00:25:34.320 And now it's the opposite.

00:25:36.840 Uh, somebody says, I identify as, oh, I don't know, a, uh, black rhino or a hippopotamus or

00:25:44.340 a Nile crocodile.

00:25:45.480 And we go, yes, sir.

00:25:47.240 Yes, ma'am.

00:25:48.080 Uh, what are your preferred pronouns?

00:25:49.960 It is outrageous.

00:25:51.600 And in the meantime, in the name of progressiveness, we are canceling women's sports. 0.98

00:25:58.720 And we are seeing female casualties on the field, thanks to this nonsense. 1.00

00:26:04.480 It's got to stop, Sheila.

00:26:06.980 You know, David, from your lips to God's ears, I don't know what will make a change unless

00:26:12.520 a female athlete, as you said, is severely hurt or killed participating in a contact sport

00:26:17.940 against a male.

00:26:19.320 Although that has already happened.

00:26:21.260 We've seen it happen at least thrice with Ash Davis.

00:26:24.120 And then we've seen it happen, um, women who have been forced to fight against Fallon

00:26:30.240 Fox.

00:26:30.940 Fallon Fox is an MMA fighter who has undergone testosterone puberty and likes to fight women, 0.99

00:26:38.980 likes to punch women in the face.

00:26:40.800 And a few women have been severely injured, um, fighting against Fallon Fox. 0.97

00:26:46.300 Um, it's completely unacceptable.

00:26:48.120 And so, unfortunately, I think you might be right.

00:26:51.560 I think we're beyond the point of, if a woman gets severely hurt, will this change? 0.98

00:26:57.020 I think this won't change until one of us is killed. 0.56

00:27:00.100 And Sheila, in the meantime, how about doing this? 0.86

00:27:03.180 How about testing this in court? 0.88

00:27:05.160 That bully, censorious thug, Josh Windsor, the president of the Windsor County, uh, or sorry, 0.92

00:27:12.060 the Waterloo County Rugby Club. 0.94

00:27:14.220 He talks about laws.

00:27:16.360 This is against the law to say anything nasty to Ash Davis.

00:27:20.420 Oh, is it really?

00:27:21.440 Do you mean the law law or do you mean human rights edicts?

00:27:25.600 Do you mean human rights tribunals that say this is the way it should be?

00:27:29.600 We should be inclusive of trans people.

00:27:31.980 That's kangaroo court law, not the real law.

00:27:34.940 So, I say, uh, any organization that wants to take a righteous stance says, well, we're

00:27:42.560 following the guidelines of our international governing body, world rugby.

00:27:46.200 You cannot play.

00:27:47.560 Uh, sorry.

00:27:48.380 It's just the way it is.

00:27:49.340 And if that player is so upset, let them go to the police.

00:27:54.580 That'll be a joke.

00:27:55.800 Let them go to civil court.

00:27:57.600 Let them go to an Ontario human rights tribunal.

00:28:00.020 And really, once that is argued in front of an Ontario human rights tribunal, as woke and

00:28:04.120 as left as they are.

00:28:05.260 If you bring up the prime directive of society, Sheila, which is this safety first, right?

00:28:12.640 It's always about public safety.

00:28:14.640 That trumps all.

00:28:16.200 If you make that argument, we don't want biological females to get their legs broken, their ribs 1.00

00:28:23.820 crushed, their noses broken, et cetera.

00:28:27.100 Um, we have to have that guy go back to the guys team.

00:28:31.900 And by the way, we should point out, he was voted the hardest hitter on the men's Fergus

00:28:38.580 rugby team just last year, showed up to the awards banquet wearing a blue dress and brandishing

00:28:44.000 a cricket bat.

00:28:45.420 Uh, yeah, I know what you're saying, Sheila, the Buffalo Bill character from Silence of the

00:28:49.940 Lambs, right?

00:28:51.200 Um, that is furthering my point.

00:28:53.900 This guy has more than one screw loose.

00:28:56.520 He needs to be treated, um, by a psychiatrist as opposed to acquiesced by a rugby league.

00:29:04.680 I think you're right.

00:29:06.140 I think you're right.

00:29:07.020 Um, David, what are you doing next on this file?

00:29:11.080 Because you've really covered it sort of from the moment that it came into the rebel universe.

00:29:16.640 You were like, this is my story.

00:29:18.780 I'm the guy to do this.

00:29:20.200 What's happening next on this?

00:29:21.500 Well, funny you should ask, our beloved colleague, Alexa Lavaugh, will be, uh, making a journey

00:29:29.480 to the honeymoon capital of, uh, the world, Niagara Falls, where the Waterloo, where it's

00:29:35.900 rather the, uh, Fergus woman with their bio weapon, Ash Davis, will be playing some kind 1.00

00:29:40.960 of consolation game against, I think they're called the Niagara Wasps.

00:29:44.760 And, um, truth be told, it's because I'm committed to the journalism conference coming up this

00:29:51.360 weekend.

00:29:51.820 Otherwise I'd be there, uh, for a third attempt, but it's a happy accident, Sheila, because

00:29:58.280 I think this needs a woman's voice like Alexa. 1.00

00:30:01.180 And I wonder if she will be treated differently.

00:30:04.380 I don't suspect so because we see behind the scenes that the people running these clubs in

00:30:10.660 the league and, uh, rugby Ontario and rugby Canada, um, are threatening biological woman 0.56

00:30:18.300 to shut the hell up or else you're off the squad or maybe in a jail cell. 0.95

00:30:24.340 It is absolutely egregious and outrageous.

00:30:27.220 So I can hardly wait to see, uh, Alexa bring her brand of journalism to Niagara Falls. 0.94

00:30:34.480 And, um, we'll see if they, uh, treat a, uh, biological female. 0.99

00:30:39.220 Well, I'm pretty darn sure Alexa Lavaugh is a biological female. 1.00

00:30:43.080 We'll see if the biological female players treat Alexa any differently. 1.00

00:30:48.700 Uh, so that is the next step.

00:30:51.240 And I think there's another follow-up you of all people, Sheila Gunn-Reed tipped me off

00:30:56.360 that there was some nonsense going on in Alberta regarding a boy identifying as a girl.

00:31:03.180 And somehow, some way, the Alberta rugby people, uh, nipped that in the bud.

00:31:10.960 He ain't playing with the girls anymore.

00:31:13.040 So the question arises, doesn't it, Sheila?

00:31:15.740 If Alberta can do it, why can't Ontario, right? 0.93

00:31:20.800 We're under the same laws and rules and regulations and everything else.

00:31:25.260 But if Alberta can say, you know what?

00:31:27.200 We are following the international governing body of rugby, world rugby, and you go and

00:31:32.300 play with the boys, um, then surely Ontario can do it.

00:31:36.120 And one last thing, speaking as a male, speaking as someone who considers himself to be a gentleman

00:31:41.240 and who believes in chivalry, I can't get into the head of any man that would dare game

00:31:50.520 the system this way, especially when it comes to a contact sport like rugby, Sheila.

00:31:54.860 Like one of the questions I had for Ash Davis was, how could you, how could you do this?

00:32:01.220 I mean, the very idea to be, uh, at the least groping biological females in those scrums and 1.00

00:32:09.780 at the worst injuring players, you mentioned three times, that was just three times in one

00:32:13.860 game.

00:32:14.280 That was in June, Sheila, against the Stony Creek Camels team.

00:32:18.300 Um, how could you, as a man who should be a gentleman, who should be practicing, you know,

00:32:26.440 the edicts of chivalry, how could you do this to biological female that through no, me, females 1.00

00:32:34.180 that through no fault of their own, uh, Sheila are at an inherent disadvantage. 1.00

00:32:39.440 Shame on you, Mr. Ash, you fake phony lesbian. 1.00

00:32:45.520 Yeah, nothing changed but the pronouns there. 0.99

00:32:50.140 Hey, absolutely nothing.

00:32:53.280 Married to the same lady, still playing rugby, doesn't look any different.

00:32:58.100 He just changed his pronouns and we're all supposed to be like, Oh, magic.

00:33:02.020 But with the pronouns are the magic wand that changes them into a woman. 0.99

00:33:05.640 All of a sudden, David, uh, I'm so proud of the work that you're doing on this file.

00:33:09.720 Um, I'm, I'm so proud of your advocacy for women, um, and girls like my daughter who play

00:33:16.020 the sport.

00:33:16.700 And, um, again, I remain surprised that you are the strong, one of the strongest advocates

00:33:23.680 for female sport in this country outside of a handful. 1.00

00:33:26.900 Um, you know, there's a power lifter and coach Linda, um, and Barbara Kay, and then I guess

00:33:32.640 David Menzies.

00:33:33.860 You know what, Sheila, you're a hundred percent. 0.86

00:33:36.320 Doesn't that speak volumes that of, of how far planet earth has transitioned into clown world

00:33:43.540 that somebody like me is considered to be a feminist fighting for the rights of a female

00:33:51.680 sports woman.

00:33:52.540 And, uh, geez, Sheila, I have no words.

00:33:56.100 It's unbelievable.

00:33:57.480 Well, and chivalry is dead.

00:33:58.980 And I think, uh, modern feminism is probably the murderer. 1.00

00:34:04.180 I think, uh, David, thanks so much for coming on the show.

00:34:07.620 You're always a fan favorite.

00:34:08.600 I get lots of emails saying like, Oh, that's so fun.

00:34:11.280 When David's on the show, you got to have him on more, but, um, I'm so happy for you,

00:34:15.060 Sheila.

00:34:15.900 Anytime.

00:34:16.460 Thank you so much for having me.

00:34:18.380 Thanks, David.

00:34:22.540 Well, friends, we've come to the portion of the show wherein we invite your viewer feedback.

00:34:31.400 Unlike the mainstream media, we actually care about what you think about the work that we

00:34:35.160 do here at Rebel News.

00:34:36.220 It's the reason we leave our comment section open.

00:34:40.060 Again, unlike the mainstream media.

00:34:42.140 And it's the reason I give out my email address right now.

00:34:44.640 Sheila at rebelnews.com.

00:34:46.520 Put gun show letters in the subject line so that I know that the letter you're sending me is about a show

00:34:52.100 that I've done as opposed to one of the daily stories or the live stream work that I've done.

00:34:57.220 So helps me identify the letter that is for this right now.

00:35:01.740 But also don't hesitate to leave a comment on any of the platforms where you might be watching us.

00:35:07.740 So if you're watching the free show on Rumble, uh, leave a comment there, maybe on YouTube.

00:35:13.720 Also, if you're sitting through a couple ads while the ads are going so that you can watch the free

00:35:17.880 show, just leave me a little comment and I'll wander over there and I'll take a look and

00:35:21.880 who knows, you might just end up being featured on the show.

00:35:24.240 Now today's letter comes to me from Carol and Carol writes me about last week's show with

00:35:30.940 my friend and colleague, Kian Simone, my filmmaking partner on the, I'm just going to say it,

00:35:37.000 hit documentary, Church Under Fire, Canada's War on Christianity.

00:35:40.880 And our documentary details, uh, a few, most of the congregations that stood up to the government

00:35:48.420 lockdowns when the COVID lockdowns came to the churches and, uh, the trials that their

00:35:53.940 congregations went through and the troubles that the men faced all in the name of religious 0.94

00:35:59.160 freedom and truly for standing up for all of our rights.

00:36:02.220 So Kian and I were talking about how we are launching another tour of the documentary.

00:36:07.780 We went, we went like across the country multiple times over the course of, well, I think it was

00:36:13.940 11 days all in nine on flights and then two back-to-back showings in Calgary, which involved

00:36:18.980 some travel for me.

00:36:20.500 And we came home to popular demand, people who had seen it, told their friends and their

00:36:25.900 friends said, oh, you got to bring it to my town.

00:36:28.160 Um, and so we were able to find venues.

00:36:29.940 And so we have a screening in BC coming up with actually a couple of screenings in BC.

00:36:34.520 And then, um, we have more screenings in Alberta.

00:36:39.300 We're doing a tour from the bottom of the province all the way to almost the top.

00:36:43.840 So Lethbridge to Grand Prairie, uh, towards the end of the month, if you want to see details,

00:36:48.100 um, and buy tickets.

00:36:49.520 And please, if you are thinking about buying tickets, I say this all the time, but I am,

00:36:55.720 I cannot make it clear enough.

00:36:57.420 If you're thinking about buying tickets, buy the tickets.

00:37:01.940 They're not that expensive, um, because these shows always, always sell out.

00:37:09.320 And then I get people emailing me the day of saying, Sheila, can you get me into the

00:37:12.660 venue?

00:37:13.700 And I just can't change the fire code.

00:37:15.500 Well, we put as many people in there as we possibly can.

00:37:18.100 We want as many eyeballs on this work as possible, but I cannot change, you know, the municipal

00:37:24.500 bylaws wherein we are.

00:37:27.040 So, uh, uh, if you are thinking about getting a ticket, pick one up, just pick one up.

00:37:31.800 If you don't use it, give it away or sell it.

00:37:34.400 But, uh, don't, uh, miss out is what I'm saying, because if you are thinking about it and you

00:37:39.460 definitely will want to watch it, um, it will be too late by the time you figure out that

00:37:45.260 you actually do want to go.

00:37:46.480 So anyway, today's letter comes to me from Carol who watched last week's show.

00:37:49.900 And she said, I listened to your show today with Kian regarding the documentary Church

00:37:53.700 Under Fire.

00:37:54.480 I was excited to hear that you guys are touring BC.

00:37:58.120 What are the possibilities of coming to the interior and more specifically Prince George?

00:38:02.400 Look, I love the interior of BC.

00:38:03.980 I don't know why it's in BC.

00:38:05.420 It's like very, very, very Albertan, very Bible belty. 1.00

00:38:09.920 I feel very much at home there.

00:38:11.920 Um, I love Merit, uh, the Country Music Hall of Fame is there.

00:38:15.240 Um, and, uh, like, it's, it's like rodeo country, ranch country.

00:38:21.900 I feel super duper at home in the interior.

00:38:24.800 Anyway, there's a large group of freedom-minded people here.

00:38:28.100 I'm confident we could sell out a venue.

00:38:29.880 I'm sure that Fort St. John would do well also.

00:38:32.220 Yeah, Fort St. John is a very conservative place.

00:38:34.360 And again, not sure why it's in BC.

00:38:37.560 Um, also they're only two hours-ish away from Grand Prairie.

00:38:40.860 That is true.

00:38:41.400 Um, the Pine Pass is a beautiful drive.

00:38:45.100 And if you go through Hudson Hope, it's a little more scenic than going through Dawson Creek.

00:38:49.100 I like Dawson Creek.

00:38:50.200 Don't drag Dawson Creek. 0.99

00:38:52.100 Uh, thank you for your dedication, hard work, and no BS view on life.

00:38:55.300 It's refreshing to hear.

00:38:56.340 Warm regards, Carol.

00:38:57.660 Well, Carol, if you have ideas about a venue, uh, a date, there is a contact link on churchunderfiremovie.com.

00:39:09.880 Um, and Kian and I are doing our best to bring the documentary to as many places as possible.

00:39:17.420 And while we could probably sell a DVD to a bunch of people, I, I really appreciate the

00:39:23.540 in-person experience and being there so that people can ask Kian and me questions about,

00:39:33.040 you know, why we made the documentary, what was the documentary, um, experience like,

00:39:37.820 or why certain things are not in the documentary.

00:39:40.380 There are some questions about that.

00:39:41.980 So I like the in-person experience.

00:39:44.420 Uh, I would like to have it with you.

00:39:46.380 Uh, just go to churchunderfiremovie.com.

00:39:49.380 Also, if, if you're not Carol, I'm speaking directly to Carol, but if you're not Carol and

00:39:53.900 you are, um, a church group or an organization or a freedom group, or maybe you're just, uh,

00:39:59.940 somebody who owns a venue who says, I would love to host a whole, a sold out show of this

00:40:04.920 really cool documentary that tells the other side of this story.

00:40:08.340 You can reach out to us there too.

00:40:09.840 Excuse me.

00:40:10.320 There's a fly in here that is just driving me crazy.

00:40:13.020 Um, but reach out to us there too.

00:40:14.640 It's, um, at churchunderfiremovie.com.

00:40:21.520 That's it.

00:40:22.900 Well guys, that's the show for tonight.

00:40:24.380 Thank you so much for tuning in.

00:40:25.940 Oh my goodness, this fly.

00:40:27.920 I'll see everybody back in the same time, in the same place next week.

00:40:31.820 And as always, remember, don't let the government tell you that you've had too much to think.

00:40:44.640 I'll see everybody back in the same place next week.
