00:01:14.000 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you,

00:01:32.360 in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite rebels.

00:01:37.160 I'm your host, David Menzies.

00:01:39.140 Have you noticed that some hotels in certain Canadian cities are looking a little ominous these days?

00:01:46.780 Well, with good reason.

00:01:48.200 Some properties are now apparently doing business as quarantine facilities for Canadians flying back to Canada.

00:01:57.800 And what's the deal with that?

00:01:59.820 Kian Bexty shall explain all.

00:02:02.380 Meet Alex Litwin of Dauphin, Manitoba.

00:02:04.980 Alex is afflicted with cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair.

00:02:10.240 As such, he cannot wear a mask and he has a bona fide medical exemption.

00:02:16.660 So when he went to a Walmart to buy a box of chocolates,

00:02:21.460 incredibly, Alex was frog-marched out of the store by heartless security guards.

00:02:28.120 Just will you hear what Tamara Ugolini has to say about this most egregious incident?

00:02:34.220 And letters, we get your letters.

00:02:36.580 We get them every minute of every day.

00:02:39.020 And you had plenty to say about a shopping spree like no other in Toronto recently

00:02:43.340 when anti-lockdown crusader Chris Sky led dozens of maskless people into three shops,

00:02:51.860 much to the chagrin of management, security, and even the police.

00:02:56.360 It was, in a word, hilarious.

00:02:59.400 And they got away with it.

00:03:00.520 Well, mostly.

00:03:02.260 Those are your Rebels.

00:03:03.420 Now let's round them up.

00:03:04.720 Thank you for Rebel News coming to you with a story that you're just not going to believe.

00:03:13.780 I'm standing outside of a hotel near the Calgary airport

00:03:16.060 where a woman is currently being held against her will

00:03:19.260 after breaking, apparently, no rules at all.

00:03:23.060 She landed in Calgary from the United States

00:03:25.260 and Justin Trudeau's thugs appeared, picked her up, and brought her here.

00:03:28.420 She hasn't been able to speak face-to-face with her family since landing

00:03:31.700 and her family is horrified at what's going on.

00:03:34.200 We're horrified on her behalf.

00:03:35.940 She's spoken to me over the phone and she sent me a video from within her hotel room

00:03:39.160 showing me that the hallway outside of her room is lined with plastic.

00:03:44.280 What's going on here is insane and there's seemingly no reason for what's going on.

00:03:48.380 There's no explanation for what's going on.

00:03:49.860 She can't get an explanation.

00:03:51.300 We can't get an explanation.

00:03:52.740 And we've retained lawyers for her.

00:03:54.760 I'm going to go in there and speak to the people running this hotel

00:03:57.960 to see exactly what Justin Trudeau has directed them to do,

00:04:02.140 why they are doing it, because it's just not clear.

00:04:05.360 Nikki Mathis is her name.

00:04:07.100 She's currently in one of these rooms in the hotel right behind me.

00:04:10.500 She's not allowed to leave.

00:04:11.500 She says she was threatened with six months in jail if she did.

00:04:15.620 We don't know what's going on.

00:04:17.020 Justin Trudeau has not made the rules clear.

00:04:18.920 We believe it has something to do with testing.

00:04:22.020 She took a test while she was in the United States.

00:04:23.840 It came back as negative.

00:04:25.560 When she landed, border agents said that,

00:04:27.800 no, that test isn't valid.

00:04:29.740 It didn't work or something along those lines,

00:04:31.980 even though she had the paperwork to document it, to back it up herself.

00:04:35.420 You can see the piece of paper right here.

00:04:37.520 You can see clear as day that she does not have the Wuhan coronavirus.

00:04:41.240 She's not sick.

00:04:42.140 She's not a threat.

00:04:43.500 But when she landed, she was not only denied the rapid testing

00:04:46.560 that is available to everyone who lands at the Calgary airport.

00:04:49.560 She was picked up and brought here and locked in a hotel room 0.64

00:04:53.240 where she can't leave under threat of actual arrest.

00:04:57.280 We don't know what's going on.

00:04:58.260 I'm going to go in there to try and figure it out.

00:05:00.420 Everything has to go.

00:05:02.420 Could you please explain to me how many Canadians you have detained in this hotel?

00:05:07.020 Please go away.

00:05:08.520 How many Canadians, against their will, are being held in this hotel?

00:05:15.700 Ma'am?

00:05:17.780 I'm sorry.

00:05:18.500 You have to leave the property.

00:05:21.220 Really enjoy it.

00:05:21.860 I will.

00:05:22.580 What kind of secret operation is going on here?

00:05:25.160 Is this your vehicle?

00:05:26.200 We know.

00:05:26.800 What kind of secret operation is going on here?

00:05:28.620 How many people do you have detained here in this building?

00:05:32.520 Are they allowed to leave?

00:05:33.260 If this is your vehicle.

00:05:35.180 Are they allowed to leave?

00:05:37.460 Can you tell me how many people are detained here?

00:05:40.080 I will not tell you anything.

00:05:41.720 You will not tell me how many people are detained here.

00:05:44.780 Why is that?

00:05:45.560 Why is this such a secret?

00:05:46.560 And why are you guys actively doing the bidding of Justin Trudeau,

00:05:49.720 someone who you know is not acting in the best interest of Canadians at all?

00:05:52.880 No way whatsoever is this a reasonable thing to do.

00:05:56.040 To hold people against their will in a hotel under the threat of arrest,

00:06:00.400 of jail time for six months?

00:06:02.480 What is going on here?

00:06:05.280 Okay.

00:06:05.980 If you're not leaving, I'm calling the cops.

00:06:08.520 Please do.

00:06:09.320 I believe I will.

00:06:10.660 Because what's going on here, I don't think is illegal.

00:06:13.940 What's going on here, I do not think is legal.

00:06:16.400 I don't care what you do.

00:06:18.080 And I'll happily leave.

00:06:19.220 I'm going to my car right now to leave.

00:06:21.160 Good.

00:06:22.880 But if you don't, the cops will be here in no time flat.

00:06:27.480 Oh, I bet they will.

00:06:28.820 Well, call it what you will, folks.

00:06:30.740 Quarantine hotels or perhaps even COVID concentration camps.

00:06:34.980 The thing is, for a government that pretends to be all about transparency,

00:06:40.100 there is anything but transparency when it comes to Justin Trudeau's holding pens

00:06:45.520 for Canadian citizens.

00:06:47.780 And yet, why all the secrecy in the first place?

00:06:50.840 And joining me now to try and unravel this disturbing mystery is Kian Bextie in Calgary.

00:06:57.780 Hey, how are you doing there, Kian?

00:06:59.500 Great.

00:06:59.940 How are you, David?

00:07:00.720 Fantastic.

00:07:01.700 So, Kian, for starters, are these quarantining facilities even legal in the first place?

00:07:08.500 Well, that's a good question.

00:07:10.800 I mean, Canadians have a right to not be detained unreasonably if they haven't broken any laws.

00:07:16.660 And these Canadians, they haven't broken any laws, at least not in any way that the government

00:07:22.060 of Canada is able to demonstrate.

00:07:24.600 Canadians have an inherent right to return to this country, to leave this country, or to 1.00

00:07:29.460 stay in this country. 1.00

00:07:30.280 It's those rights are something that are given to us so that the government can't overstep

00:07:35.080 their bounds and, you know, send away voters that they don't like or stop voters from coming

00:07:41.260 back into the country that they don't like.

00:07:42.840 There's a whole bunch of reasons for why we have mobility rights.

00:07:46.120 And the underlying facts of them are the government has no right to interfere with them.

00:07:51.380 That includes Justin Trudeau, even though he might disagree with that.

00:07:54.720 Oh, my God, I can just see the Justin Trudeau liberals drooling over your idea, getting rid

00:08:02.560 of the voters they don't like.

00:08:05.420 You know, but, you know, Kian, last month I had a bizarre story involving, it was a fellow 1.00

00:08:12.820 called DeRay and his father who flew into Toronto from Jamaica, and they were put into one of

00:08:19.920 these quarantining facilities here in Toronto, the Radisson near the airport on Dixon Road.

00:08:26.180 And, I mean, full hazmat suits on the staff, you know, plastic taped everywhere.

00:08:33.560 They were told they were confined to quarters.

00:08:36.360 At the end of the day, anti-lockdown protesters got wind of this story, sprung an escape for

00:08:42.420 them by way of hiring an Uber car to come along.

00:08:45.160 And here's the thing, they were told repeatedly as they left the hotel, stop in the name of

00:08:51.640 the law, you cannot leave, you will be facing consequences, et cetera, et cetera.

00:08:56.840 But nobody laid a hand on them.

00:08:58.940 They got into the car and they went home.

00:09:01.280 So the point I'm trying to get to, Kian, is that are people being told falsehoods in terms

00:09:07.080 of what their rights actually are in the hopes of the authorities thinking that they'll buy

00:09:12.260 it and they'll just stay put?

00:09:13.660 Yeah, that could be it, right?

00:09:17.100 Like, I wouldn't put it past this government to lie to people, to their faces, especially

00:09:21.220 in the great confusion that they've caused, right?

00:09:24.080 Like, this is extraordinary what is happening.

00:09:26.800 I'm not sure if it's ever happened in Canada where the government has, by decree, said certain

00:09:33.860 people can't come back unless they meet certain requirements that the government says of Quarantine

00:09:38.380 Act or not.

00:09:39.860 The Charter of Rights and Freedoms is the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

00:09:42.400 To your question, I wouldn't put it past the government to lie straight to Canadians.

00:09:49.040 And Canadians don't understand exactly what's going on. 0.97

00:09:51.840 Lawyers, in some cases, don't understand what's going on because they're just so taken

00:09:55.240 aback by the brazenness of the moves of how brazen this government is in these moves.

00:10:01.360 So, naturally, we've retained lawyers and they are the best in the business and we're using

00:10:08.800 them to help as many people as we can who return to this country, who ask for help. 1.00

00:10:13.980 And just a note to the viewers, I mean, if anyone is returning to this country by plane, please

00:10:21.880 email us at airports at rebelnews.com.

00:10:25.120 There we'll be able to sort of triage what's going on, maybe help you out a little bit if

00:10:29.100 we can, and at least cover your story of you returning to this country.

00:10:33.540 And Kian, we can say for certain there is lying going on. 0.99

00:10:38.000 When we went to that, Radisson, there was a security guard who said to us on camera that

00:10:44.700 the camera was closed because, sorry, that the hotel was closed because it was under construction.

00:10:50.360 No construction workers, no construction equipment, and faces pressed up against windows looking

00:10:57.660 out forlornly.

00:10:59.120 So, we know that lying is not beyond them.

00:11:02.140 But I want to tackle one other thing, and to me, this is a perverse irony.

00:11:06.180 We have Canadian citizens, and in the case of the lady you interviewed, she had a negative

00:11:12.960 COVID test from her departure point of Texas, which for some reason was not accepted.

00:11:19.360 But we have them being sheep herded into these COVID quarantine hotels.

00:11:25.700 And yet, Kian, you can have illegal aliens cross over from the U.S. into Canada at places 0.99

00:11:33.400 such as the infamous Roxham Road, and not only are they denied entry, not only have they told

00:11:38.940 you you've got to quarantine for lack of a COVID test, you'll have the RCMP carry their

00:11:44.400 baggage as though they're bellhops.

00:11:46.620 How do you make sense of this?

00:11:50.420 Well, it's frustrating to me, and I think every other Canadian who's had to return over

00:11:54.900 the past little while.

00:11:55.820 I was in the United States just a bit ago, and I seriously thought about coming and crossing

00:12:00.220 it at Roxham Road because the government, for some reason, has an exception for everyone

00:12:07.120 doing that.

00:12:07.800 Of course, they're just, Justin Trudeau would, you know, lock me, throw me in jail probably

00:12:13.060 if I did that, because the only people that get that exception are fake refugees, people 1.00

00:12:18.620 who don't even belong in the United States as refugees. 0.97

00:12:21.420 Justin Trudeau wants to bring them to Canada so that they can vote for him in three, four,

00:12:25.960 five years.

00:12:26.760 So people are frustrated.

00:12:28.680 This is peak insanity of the Trudeau government.

00:12:32.560 And it's chaos at the borders.

00:12:34.540 It's chaos at airports.

00:12:36.040 And I'm certainly going to continue as much coverage as I can at those airports to explain

00:12:40.200 to Canadians what's going on and the risks that they face with Justin Trudeau at the

00:12:43.840 head.

00:12:44.700 Yeah.

00:12:44.860 And of course, Kian, the Wuhan virus is such a super intelligent virus. 0.99

00:12:50.180 It would never dare infect illegal aliens come in because, you know, it's heavily vested 0.98

00:12:57.080 into social justice warrior causes like that.

00:13:00.340 But a bona fide Canadian coming in who apparently doesn't have the right paperwork, well, off 1.00

00:13:06.640 to the hotel with you for 14 days.

00:13:09.360 Kian, great piece.

00:13:11.480 Please keep us posted on any more developments coming out of Calgary regarding this property.

00:13:16.320 For sure.

00:13:16.880 Thanks, David.

00:13:17.560 You got it.

00:13:18.040 And that was Kian Bexty in Calgary.

00:13:21.020 Keep it here, folks.

00:13:21.980 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:13:29.640 As the masked madness continues, more and more individuals are having to choose between

00:13:34.560 going out into society and potentially having police or security called on them for simply

00:13:40.080 going about their day without a mask.

00:13:42.280 Or they attempt to wear the mask at the expense of their health.

00:13:46.080 I'm Tamara Ugolini for Rebel News and this mask exemption story is one for the charts.

00:13:53.140 Alex Lightwind submitted a video to us at the Rebel with details of how he was ridiculed

00:13:59.000 and segregated while trying to simply buy a box of chocolates for a friend as a Christmas gift

00:14:06.280 at Walmart in Dolphin, Manitoba.

00:14:09.020 You see, Alex has fairly advanced cerebral palsy, so he is exempt from wearing a mask

00:14:16.060 or a face covering as per the Manitoba mandate where it says,

00:14:20.400 And so, Alex, maybe you can just give us a quick recap of what happened to you at that point.

00:14:44.020 Yeah, so as I answered the Walmart, I was just minding my openness when all of a sudden

00:14:52.180 me and my home care worker were pulled by not one, but two security guards, one on either

00:14:59.580 side of me, and they stopped us.

00:15:03.560 And the one security guard goes to my home care worker and goes,

00:15:08.100 Excuse me, sir.

00:15:09.700 Can you talk to him, meaning me, to put on his mask?

00:15:15.440 And my home care worker said, Talk to him.

00:15:20.860 And the second time, they asked my home care worker to tell me to put on my mask.

00:15:28.580 At this time, I was frustrated because I was completely annoyed, and so I tried to interrupt

00:15:38.260 and said, Excuse me, sir, if you want to talk to me about something I'm doing, talk to me.

00:15:46.920 And then they ignored me and continued to talk to my worker.

00:15:52.360 So for the third time, I moved my voice and said, You can talk to me.

00:16:00.840 So the security guard went to me and goes, Well, I need you to put on your mask.

00:16:06.500 And I said, No, I don't have to wear a mask because it's different.

00:16:11.700 It's my life to my health and health Canada that I have a disability and I do not need to wear a mask.

00:16:19.360 Then the security guard said, Yes, you do.

00:16:24.300 And as I could see, this conversation wasn't going nowhere.

00:16:27.840 I said, Can I please bid you to the last?

00:16:31.240 Alas and alack, calling for the manager did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation for Alex Litwin.

00:16:39.040 In fact, he was eventually frog-marched out of that Walmart store in a most humiliating fashion.

00:16:45.920 And in the aftermath, has Walmart reached out to him to apologize?

00:16:50.760 Nope.

00:16:51.660 It's radio silence at the big box store.

00:16:54.880 Besides, Walmart is just too busy these days raking in the cash thanks to its current favoured retailer status.

00:17:04.760 Despicable.

00:17:06.240 And joining me now to discuss Alex's plight is Tamara Ugolini in Coburg.

00:17:11.420 Hey, Tamara, how are you doing there?

00:17:13.480 Good, thanks. How are you, David?

00:17:14.460 Fantastic. Tamara, I've got to be honest, I was on the brink of tears.

00:17:21.640 I was so frustrated and so angered watching your interview with Alex.

00:17:28.360 Hey, I'm only human.

00:17:30.040 But it seems that there isn't a hell of a lot of humanity at Walmart these days.

00:17:35.540 Why was this gentleman treated so brutally when he clearly is entitled to his legal mask exemption?

00:17:45.720 Well, that's what I've been finding in some of these interviews that I'm conducting,

00:17:49.300 is that there's just a complete disregard for ethics in the face of these broad policies that are being implemented on people.

00:18:03.620 And I don't know if it's a lack of education or people just aren't versed in what the actual laws and mandates are.

00:18:13.700 But it's clearly laid out there in this particular instance, the province of Manitoba, that mask exemptions exist.

00:18:20.700 You know, Tamara, I mean, the people at Walmart, the management, the workers, the security guards, they're all humans.

00:18:37.180 You'd think there'd be a scintilla of empathy.

00:18:41.680 You know, Alex is a good guy. I've had email chats with him.

00:18:45.220 He's been dealt a harsh, you know, hand in life for them to humiliate him and even ignore him.

00:18:53.900 Talk to his caregiver as though he didn't exist, as though he was a non-person.

00:18:59.440 How could anyone do that? 0.97

00:19:01.840 Yeah, I mean, it seems a bit ignorant to take that stance.

00:19:09.380 I mean, just in my own conversations with Alex via email and then, of course, virtually when we did our interview,

00:19:16.460 he's very intelligent and a big hit to him as a person going about navigating this world to be treated with such disregard to Walmart.

00:19:27.520 And then, I mean, in my report, I highlight, once again, the hypocrisy of Walmart, who touts inclusivity and compassion and respect and kindness.

00:19:40.640 It does not sound like Alex was treated that way that day.

00:19:44.720 And I wanted to know why.

00:19:46.420 And there's just zero accountability.

00:19:49.800 Promises to apparently look into it via Twitter to try to save face and no follow up.

00:19:56.500 You know, Tamara, this is a very good point.

00:20:00.460 Later in the video, you show that you did your due diligence.

00:20:04.280 First of all, you phoned the manager of this particular Walmart and she turned into Sergeant Schultz on the phone.

00:20:10.720 I know nothing.

00:20:11.960 I saw nothing.

00:20:13.660 And said, go to corporate communications in Toronto.

00:20:17.580 And again, radio silence there.

00:20:20.140 This really steams me.

00:20:21.600 I mean, I've been in this game since 1985.

00:20:25.000 And it used to be when you reached out to communications departments, whether it was the private sector or the public sector or government,

00:20:32.900 you did get a response, even if the questions were impolite.

00:20:36.980 Now there seems to be this new way of thinking that, you know what, this is a hot subject.

00:20:43.920 And Rebel News, well, you know what, they're not favoured media. 0.82

00:20:48.240 We're just not going to do our job and even give a damn response.

00:20:53.120 I'm continually coming across that.

00:20:55.780 I think they think that kills the story.

00:20:58.320 But A, it doesn't kill the story. 1.00

00:21:00.300 And B, it makes them look like idiots in the process. 1.00

00:21:04.860 And even guilty. 1.00

00:21:08.240 If you can't, if there's no accountability there and you can't attest as to why this, in this instance, this person was treated that way and justify it,

00:21:17.080 then it stands to reason that you were in the wrong and that needs to be acknowledged somewhere and remedied for future.

00:21:25.780 Sadly, Alex was at the receiving end of this treatment.

00:21:29.000 And I hope that no one is treated that way ever again at Walmart.

00:21:33.520 But without them having any sort of reprimand or re-education of their staff or maybe the security firms that they're hiring or contracting out,

00:21:43.240 then how do you guarantee that that doesn't happen again?

00:21:46.020 Well, maybe the way you guarantee it, Tamara, is what Alex has to do is go out and hire a high-paid lobbyist.

00:21:54.840 I'm thinking like Melissa Lansman.

00:21:56.660 And I know his story is a Manitoba story, but I can tell you, in Ontario, Melissa Lansman,

00:22:02.240 she was part of the Doug Ford War Room in terms of helping Doug Ford get elected premier.

00:22:07.380 And she did a wonderful job, obviously, with a super majority. 0.99

00:22:10.660 But afterwards, she got hired on by Walmart with God knows what kind of dough she raked in.

00:22:17.760 And I wouldn't be surprised if it was six figures to go to Ford's office and make sure that Walmart wouldn't be affected by the lockdown.

00:22:28.760 And again, mission accomplished for the person I now call Lockdown Lansman.

00:22:34.800 Oh, and by the way, it gets worse.

00:22:36.040 She's running for the nomination of the Federal Conservative Party in Thornhill.

00:22:40.700 So she might just win that.

00:22:43.100 I'm sure she'd be Erin O'Toole's candidate of favour. 1.00

00:22:47.660 So I guess what I'm leaning up to, Tamara, is that there's a bit of chutzpah here with Walmart.

00:22:53.720 Walmart is incredibly fortunate that they've gone through this pandemic, business as usual.

00:23:00.700 Actually, business not as usual.

00:23:02.700 They're raking in more money than ever because there's no competition open.

00:23:06.060 And you'd think they would at least try to do the right thing for a person who's dealing with a severe handicap. 0.97

00:23:15.180 That's right.

00:23:15.880 And remedy the situation.

00:23:17.380 And, I mean, Alex, at the end of the day, I don't think he's some money-hungry lobbyist, obviously.

00:23:24.720 But he's not looking for any sort of compensation.

00:23:27.660 He just wants to ensure that this doesn't happen again and to be, you know, get an apology.

00:23:33.200 And I think that he more than deserves that.

00:23:37.600 Actually, I would argue that he very much more than deserves that.

00:23:42.080 And it could go quite a lot further than just an apology for Walmart.

00:23:46.580 But none of that's even happening.

00:23:48.640 And so for them to throw out some baseless tweet on Twitter and state that they're looking into it and not even follow up at all with Alex,

00:23:58.160 who he himself states he's a very easy person to get in touch with, I mean, it's disgusting.

00:24:04.480 Yeah.

00:24:04.800 I mean, if I was advising Walmart, I would say at the very least give this individual a $1,000 gift card and you'll be getting away like bandits.

00:24:14.680 Last question, Tamara, looking towards the future in terms of Alex's case, if he doesn't even get an apology,

00:24:23.240 is there opportunity here for a civil lawsuit?

00:24:26.320 Is there not that I espouse people going to the kangaroo courts that are the human rights tribunals,

00:24:32.420 but this to me seems like a slam dunk case.

00:24:37.120 What is Alex going to do in the near future or the far future if Walmart doesn't even have the bloody decency to give this individual an apology?

00:24:48.380 Yeah, I think he was reaching out to some media to try to get some help in that regard to have some accountability.

00:24:54.560 I'm not sure what Alex's, you know, it always boils down to, and it's very sad, the financial state of the individual.

00:25:03.000 And so I'm not sure what Alex's financial finances look like.

00:25:08.300 Living with a disability in itself is expensive.

00:25:11.360 I mean, right away off the bat, your work is limited and your expenses are high.

00:25:17.160 So I don't know what it looks like for Alex.

00:25:20.580 And that's disappointing that the system can be such a failure in that regard.

00:25:24.560 Um, I know the human rights tribunal was something that was on his radar, but like you say, it's a kangaroo court.

00:25:30.760 It'll be at least a year before anything tangible happens in that sense.

00:25:35.680 So, yeah, unfortunately, I can't touch on that.

00:25:39.520 But I do hope that Alex keeps me posted because I was heartbroken listening to his story.

00:25:45.880 And I don't think that companies and huge billion dollar corporations should be able to get away with this treatment of their patrons.

00:25:53.560 A hundred percent, Tamara.

00:25:55.660 And yeah, I mean, in terms of the human rights tribunals, they so often get it wrong.

00:26:00.060 I could actually see them siding with the Walmart here.

00:26:02.700 But let's hope as word gets out, there is maybe a lawyer in Manitoba who will do this pro bono.

00:26:10.260 I'm sure there will be.

00:26:12.560 And let's get justice for Alex.

00:26:14.900 Nobody deserved that kind of humiliation like Alex did.

00:26:18.960 Tamara, that was a wonderful interview.

00:26:20.600 Thank you so much for doing it.

00:26:23.220 Mm-hmm.

00:26:24.040 Thanks, David.

00:26:24.720 I appreciate your fine words.

00:26:26.160 You got it.

00:26:27.000 And folks, that was Tamara Ugolini in Coburg, Ontario.

00:26:31.140 Keep it here.

00:26:32.040 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.

00:26:34.320 They cannot deny service.

00:26:41.160 They cannot ask what our condition is.

00:26:42.660 They cannot ask for proof of our condition.

00:26:44.420 It's that simple.

00:26:45.160 All right.

00:26:45.480 Well, let's go shopping.

00:26:46.480 I am.

00:26:46.800 I actually want a banana.

00:26:49.440 Hi, how are you?

00:26:50.340 This I actually purchased somewhere else.

00:26:52.100 So it's just the bananas.

00:26:53.860 Thank you.

00:26:57.220 God bless you.

00:26:58.800 What's wrong?

00:27:00.340 The manager said they won't let us pay now.

00:27:02.560 Oh, it's okay.

00:27:03.140 I already paid.

00:27:04.320 There you go.

00:27:04.700 You can keep the change.

00:27:06.260 It's okay.

00:27:06.860 I got it.

00:27:07.380 I'm not going to steal it.

00:27:08.680 It was $2.60, but you got changed.

00:27:10.800 Hello.

00:27:11.380 Very cool.

00:27:12.800 Yeah, wait.

00:27:13.740 Let's talk to the manager, right?

00:27:15.620 Hi.

00:27:16.060 Hi.

00:27:16.380 So let's talk about the by-law right now.

00:27:18.120 Can everybody stand six feet away from me, please?

00:27:19.620 Oh, but you have a mask on.

00:27:20.740 You're concerning me.

00:27:21.920 No, you're concerning me.

00:27:22.920 Here, you can talk to Rebel News and tell them why you're violating the law.

00:27:26.300 Excuse me.

00:27:26.780 I'm asking you a question.

00:27:27.580 We can go downstairs and talk.

00:27:29.200 Okay, let's have a talk.

00:27:30.980 What's your name?

00:27:31.740 Is it manager?

00:27:32.600 Hi, Daniel.

00:27:33.220 My name's Chris.

00:27:34.000 Chris, you're a trespass from all of us.

00:27:35.260 No, actually, I'm not.

00:27:36.020 I just want something.

00:27:37.360 Okay, let's explain something to you.

00:27:38.860 I'm going to ask you to leave.

00:27:39.700 You can ask anything you want.

00:27:41.000 I claim my medical exemption like everyone else.

00:27:45.520 The by-law states that you cannot deny service.

00:27:47.980 You cannot ask for a condition.

00:27:49.400 You cannot ask for proof of a condition.

00:27:51.220 So what you're doing right now, denying these people service, is illegal.

00:27:53.940 Can you stop spitting on me, please?

00:27:55.360 I'm not spitting on you.

00:27:56.440 Thank you.

00:27:56.800 Oh, are you that scared that you got it?

00:27:58.280 Okay, let me measure it for you.

00:27:59.760 Is that enough?

00:28:00.500 Here's my receipt.

00:28:01.020 Anyway, there you go.

00:28:02.620 That's my receipt.

00:28:03.300 That's my receipt.

00:28:05.280 Well, I didn't assault you.

00:28:06.440 I didn't do anything.

00:28:07.100 I'm not trespassing.

00:28:07.820 I bought a banana.

00:28:08.620 Okay.

00:28:09.520 Did you say I assaulted you?

00:28:11.160 And he's trespassing.

00:28:11.900 I'm not trespassing.

00:28:12.900 I bought something.

00:28:14.020 Okay, sir.

00:28:14.620 Can you please go now?

00:28:15.520 I can.

00:28:15.940 Now that I saw it.

00:28:16.540 I was just explaining the by-law to him.

00:28:18.240 And I'll explain it to you, too.

00:28:19.500 Open the door.

00:28:20.500 Open the door.

00:28:21.500 Excuse me.

00:28:22.020 I just want to know.

00:28:22.960 Stop agitating.

00:28:23.240 Wait.

00:28:23.880 Him denying us service.

00:28:26.860 Stop agitating.

00:28:28.320 Stop agitating.

00:28:29.600 And Chris, we're now at Whole Foods.

00:28:32.280 They were notorious back in November for banning the poppy, or at least banning their staff

00:28:36.740 from wearing the poppy. 0.93

00:28:37.740 Which is also ridiculous.

00:28:38.720 I'm sure they wouldn't care if their staff wanted to wear a rainbow.

00:28:41.320 He's 100% within his rights to serve the public.

00:29:00.620 The manager just came over here and instructed him to stop serving the public.

00:29:04.280 We will guard this man's job with everything we've got.

00:29:08.000 Open the door.

00:29:09.260 This is the law.

00:29:10.140 This is the municipal by-law.

00:29:12.000 So the store cannot make rules above the by-law.

00:29:16.960 Now that's my kind of shopping spree, folks.

00:29:19.720 In other words, picking up fresh produce and whatnot while going maskless.

00:29:24.360 Oh, perish the thought. 0.56

00:29:26.520 That was indeed the scene late last month when anti-lockdown hero Chris Guy led dozens of

00:29:32.340 maskless people into three downtown Toronto stores to shop like it was 2019.

00:29:38.880 The bad news, Chris was indeed later charged with being a common nuisance and he was also

00:29:45.500 slapped with four public mischief charges.

00:29:48.200 But the good news is that nobody else was charged for asserting their rights, even though police

00:29:53.980 were called to all three stores.

00:29:56.720 Marcus Starr writes, as a musician forced out of work for almost a year, this video is bringing me hope.

00:30:09.900 Marcus Starr, I hope these ridiculous restrictions are lifted soon so that you can indeed get back

00:30:15.920 to work and make music and say, any relation to Ringo?

00:30:19.960 Jordan P writes, epic video.

00:30:22.700 Good job, Chris.

00:30:24.180 Let's keep this going, man.

00:30:25.540 Well, Jordan, the police are kind of making an example out of Chris, much like they did with Adam Skelly

00:30:32.200 of Adamson Barbecue, Chris might be down for now, but he's not down for the count and I guarantee you

00:30:39.400 he'll be shopping mask-free for more bananas in the near future.

00:30:44.900 Creepy little girl writes, at the 5.30 mark, eek, your invisible spit is slicing right through 1.00

00:30:52.680 my invincibility mask, I'm melting, poor little snowflake.

00:30:58.480 Yeah, that Longo's manager is never going to be mistaken for he-man, is he?

00:31:03.940 But that's been the worst thing about this pandemic.

00:31:07.700 The social justice snowflakes are truly in meltdown mode.

00:31:12.240 But again, it bears repeating, if you are relatively young and or relatively healthy,

00:31:17.980 you have a six times greater chance of getting killed while crossing the street

00:31:22.940 than you do of some coming to the Wuhan virus.

00:31:27.780 Frank Webb writes, that was my favorite video by Rebel.

00:31:31.480 This needs to happen in every town and city in Canada.

00:31:35.080 Well done.

00:31:36.100 Finally, something put a smile on my face.

00:31:39.060 Hey, Frank, between you and me, this was my favorite video of the year, too.

00:31:43.540 I just love the chutzpah, the brazenness, the humor,

00:31:46.740 and yes, the pursuit of happiness.

00:31:50.280 And CT82 writes, this is one of the best videos yet.

00:31:54.740 I particularly love it because we've been long overdue to actually fight back

00:32:00.100 against the forced masking, which is probably the most ridiculous, 0.86

00:32:05.060 annoying, and dehumanizing aspect of this pandemic.

00:32:09.980 Chris Guy, come to Alberta and organize the same thing, please.

00:32:14.300 I'm surrounded by mask-wearing lemmings, and I'm struggling to find like-minded individuals. 1.00

00:32:21.440 Well, thanks for the kind words, CT82, but hey, you don't need Chris Guy in your corner.

00:32:27.260 Simply recruit some like-minded friends and go on a shopping trip and bring along the bylaw legislation

00:32:33.400 proving that the law actually trumps company policy, not the other way around.

00:32:39.820 Good luck, my friend.

00:32:40.800 Well, that wraps up another edition of Rebel Roundup.

00:32:43.840 Thanks so much for joining us.

00:32:45.160 See you next week.

00:32:45.980 And hey, folks, never forget, without risk, there can be no glory.

00:32:50.600 Good night.

00:32:51.020 Good night.

00:32:51.200 Good night.

00:32:51.760 Good night.

00:33:14.140 Good night.
