Rebel News Podcast - Why are the courts shutting down — even Zoom trials？

00:00:00.000 Hello, my rebels. I thought I was in a time machine. I saw an announcement from a senior

00:00:05.420 judge in Ontario that he wants to basically delay trials, reduce the amount of action in the court,

00:00:12.000 even by Zoom trials. And I thought, now this has got to be a year old. No, we checked. It's a new

00:00:17.820 story. Really? A year into things and they still haven't realized or figured out how to serve the

00:00:23.740 public in the pandemic. Grocery workers never took a day off. I'll take you through the announcement.

00:00:27.840 It makes me mad. We also interviewed Mark Morano about the new global warming summit.

00:00:33.440 They got big plans. China's just laughing. That's all I had. Before I get to that, 0.53

00:00:37.820 let me invite you to become a subscriber to Rebel News Plus. Just go to rebelnews.com and click

00:00:42.720 subscribe. It's eight bucks a month. You get the video version, the TV version of these podcasts.

00:00:47.580 Plus, you get access to Sheila Gunn-Reed's show, David Menzies' show, Andrew Chapitro's show,

00:00:50.980 and the satisfaction of helping the rebel stay independent.

00:00:57.840 Tonight, why are the courts shutting down even Zoom trials? It's April 26, and this is the Ezra LeVant

00:01:15.060 Show. Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?

00:01:20.980 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer. The only thing I have to say

00:01:26.540 to the government about why I'm publishing it is because it's my bloody right to do so.

00:01:35.920 I saw this headline just this week, not from a year ago, but actually last Tuesday. It said,

00:01:42.980 Ontario Superior Court of Justice to defer cases due to pandemic.

00:01:46.460 Ontario Superior Court of Justice has directed courts to defer as many matters as possible due

00:01:52.500 to the pandemic. Chief Justice Jeffrey B. Morowitz issued a notice to the profession and the public

00:01:58.180 on Tuesday, saying courts should reduce the number of staff, lawyers, or parties required

00:02:02.500 to leave their homes. Okay, it's been 14 months. Are you saying this branch of government,

00:02:09.640 the highest paid branch, the highest status branch, the judges, they haven't figured out how

00:02:15.180 to operate in the pandemic? I mean, grocery stores never closed. Factories never closed. Banks never

00:02:22.300 closed. Pharmacies never closed. Construction sites never closed. I think that, frankly, some of the

00:02:28.280 so-called COVID measures introduced by many of these companies are absurd, and they're public health

00:02:32.800 theater, not real medicine. But still, they're never closed. But now, 14 months into things, the

00:02:39.140 Senior Court of Ontario thinks it has to gear down because of the pandemic, really? I double-checked. I

00:02:44.680 thought, no, this has got to be a year old. No. So let me show you this. There's no factual reason for

00:02:49.840 this panic right now. I grabbed this from the Ontario government's official COVID stats page. I know I'm

00:02:54.580 talking about Ontario, but this shows the insanity all across Canada and all around the world. Look at

00:02:59.180 this. The number of hospitalizations in Ontario is pretty much stable. It bounces up and down a little

00:03:05.600 bit. It's around 2,200 people. That's around four people per hospital in the province. Again, that's

00:03:11.300 similar across Canada. The intensive care unit numbers are around one-third of that. So just over one person

00:03:17.400 per hospital in intensive care. So what's the panic? The number of deaths is pretty steady. In fact, it's

00:03:26.440 actually down significantly from January. Again, these stats are pretty similar across the country. So why are the

00:03:33.120 Ontario courts being shut down now? Are they just moving online? Is that what's going on? They're doing

00:03:39.380 Zoom calls? No. Morowitz says virtual hearings should also be deferred. What? Why? What's the problem with

00:03:48.760 those? I mean, just a few months ago, I don't know if you saw this, we learned that Zoom trials are so

00:03:55.280 easy to do. One Ontario judge actually went to the Caribbean and held his trials from there via Zoom.

00:04:02.740 Imagine that. You're sitting on the beach in the Caribbean and then you just hop into your cabana.

00:04:07.140 Maybe you put on a robe to cover up your bathing suit. Maybe you put up a fake backdrop to make it

00:04:11.600 look like some dreary Toronto landscape and you're ruling on Ontario matters from afar. That's how easy

00:04:17.540 it is to do Zoom hearings. But apparently that's not easy enough.

00:04:22.120 He says courts will focus on the most serious child protection matters, urgent family matters,

00:04:29.540 critical criminal matters, and urgent commercial or economic matters. Hey, what's a serious child

00:04:35.480 protection matter as opposed to a non-serious one? What's a critical criminal matter as opposed to

00:04:43.340 a not important one? Does it defend who the victim is if they're fancy? Of course, not a single person in

00:04:50.680 our justice system. Not a single person in any branch of government has been laid off during the

00:04:55.120 lockdowns. Not one has lost their job. While the private sector was bulldozed. So this is basically

00:05:01.260 a Trudeau, you know, when he just sort of had a staycation for a year. He wants the pay, he wants

00:05:08.540 the status, but he just wants less work, you know. Even fewer Zoom calls, which you can do in the comfort

00:05:14.100 of your own home. That's the lockdown class for you, right? All the money, all the power, and the

00:05:19.620 pandemic is just an excuse to work less. Tell it to the grocery store cashiers. So let's catch up

00:05:24.820 here. First, parliament was canceled and then brought back in a very limited manner. Of course,

00:05:31.400 journalists were limited to who could attend and who could attend press conferences. So limited

00:05:36.360 parliament, limited journalists covering parliament. As if parliament was making any of these laws these

00:05:42.400 days, they're all done by decree by appointed bureaucrats. You know, the kind, the kind who

00:05:47.600 act like they're high priests. I'm going to be very frank. There's no politician in this country

00:05:52.700 who's going to disagree with their chief medical officer. They just aren't going to do it. They

00:05:57.920 might as well throw a rope around their neck and jump off a bridge. They're done. I'm telling you 0.99

00:06:01.800 the facts. It's very simple. I don't know why I bring all these papers. I never look at them.

00:06:09.100 Oh, you're giving numbers. I do. I go, oh, oh, oh. I said that. Did you really say that?

00:06:13.960 I just say whatever they write down for me. That's why you're laughing.

00:06:18.480 So limit parliament, then limit media coverage of parliament, limit travel, both internationally and

00:06:24.800 now within our own country, between provinces, sometimes even within provinces. Limit churches.

00:06:33.540 Limit permission to leave your own house. Limit the hours to leave your own house.

00:06:38.900 Which exercising is one of them. Exercising is not allowed.

00:06:46.300 What am I allowed outside of my house for? Could you explain that to me?

00:06:49.960 There's a list that's readily available. You don't have that list? You don't have that list,

00:06:55.220 but you're here charging me for something, but you don't know what's on the list.

00:06:58.520 I do know what's on the list. Then could you explain it to me?

00:07:01.760 I'm not going to argue with you. Do you have your option?

00:07:05.300 Because you can't argue? Because you're charging me with no rounds whatsoever to charge me?

00:07:11.420 I'm walking up and down the side.

00:07:12.760 No, you didn't. I just asked. Exercise. Exercise. Exercise. I'm not allowed to do that.

00:07:23.740 Exercise.

00:07:25.180 Well, I'm not just... Okay, so what about him?

00:07:27.780 Are you going to go give him a second? Because he's outside.

00:07:30.080 We're not going to argue.

00:07:32.140 Really? Okay.

00:07:33.220 You've been charged and you have your options, okay?

00:07:35.580 All right.

00:07:36.800 Limit your life. Limit everything except your limitless obedience.

00:07:42.760 And acceptance and compliance. No limit on police powers.

00:07:46.040 No courts have struck down any meaningful lockdown rule.

00:07:49.360 Today, the federal court agreed that the COVID jails and airports do indeed violate our charter rights,

00:07:54.400 but they won't strike them down in any hurry.

00:07:56.960 They won't give an injunction.

00:07:58.020 That can wait, says the court.

00:07:59.420 You can go through that for a few more months, said the court.

00:08:02.040 Oh, and up next, Trudeau and his heritage minister, Stephen Gilbell,

00:08:05.820 really his censorship minister, will introduce their law to

00:08:08.420 limit what you can say and what you can hear on the internet.

00:08:11.440 You're trapped in your home.

00:08:13.900 You're living through the internet, but now that will be limited,

00:08:16.620 especially if it taunts politicians.

00:08:19.880 We've seen too many examples of public officials retreating from public service

00:08:24.560 due to the hateful online content targeted towards themselves or even their families.

00:08:29.960 And now this from the judge.

00:08:31.360 Look, if this chief judge is saying that we just plain old have too many laws and too many lawsuits,

00:08:38.300 I'm all ears.

00:08:39.880 Let's simplify life.

00:08:41.200 Let's get rid of the red tape.

00:08:42.500 Absolutely.

00:08:43.200 I'm all for fewer lawyers, fewer lawsuits.

00:08:45.360 But I don't think he's saying that.

00:08:46.940 He's not giving up his power and his prominence.

00:08:49.460 He's just saying he and his friends would like to work a little less,

00:08:53.180 even by Zoom, even from the Caribbean.

00:08:58.820 Because, you know, you see there's this great new Netflix show on and the lockdown class.

00:09:03.400 They just need a little bit more me time, don't they?

00:09:07.840 Stay with us for more.

00:09:08.740 Well, so Biden, again, promised about 80 percent or a little more than 80 percent

00:09:26.040 of the total promises from this summit.

00:09:28.320 And what that translates into is a reduction in temperature by the end of the century

00:09:34.320 if Biden actually makes the next president or the next after that in 2030 carry through

00:09:40.940 his promises and if all the presidents for the next 70 years up till 2100 do the same.

00:09:46.760 If all that happens, he will have managed to reduce global temperatures by the end of

00:09:51.600 the century by 0.04 degrees centigrade.

00:09:55.100 This is if you run it in the standard UN climate model.

00:09:58.740 So very, very little impact.

00:10:00.540 Now, remember, Biden is talking about, as you also saw with Kerry,

00:10:04.560 that this will cost about half a trillion dollars a year.

00:10:08.080 That's 1,500 U.S. dollars per person in the U.S. per year.

00:10:13.240 The average person in the U.S. says they're not even willing to pay $24.

00:10:17.720 There is a potential divergence here.

00:10:21.340 You're not going to be able to see support for that kind of policy in the long run.

00:10:25.500 That's Bjorn Lomborg.

00:10:26.900 What an outstanding thinker.

00:10:28.500 He's an author, he calls himself the skeptical environmentalist because he actually has

00:10:34.200 environmental goals in his heart, but he sees through the BS of politicians, bureaucrats,

00:10:41.820 global warmists.

00:10:43.460 The left hates him because he's not a climate denier, as they call many conservatives.

00:10:50.100 He's someone who's worried about the climate and the environment, but he just says your carbon

00:10:54.480 tax is not going to work.

00:10:55.940 This half a trillion dollar a year spending proposed by Joe Biden is not going to work.

00:11:02.800 But that certainly won't stop Western politicians from digging in.

00:11:06.580 Look at this Zoom meeting with the world's leaders.

00:11:09.960 Joe Biden, the only one wearing a mask.

00:11:11.640 I found that a little bit odd.

00:11:12.780 He's in the right hand side there.

00:11:15.100 They weren't meeting in person.

00:11:16.540 So he couldn't catch a cold through his computer.

00:11:21.360 By the way, he's already been vaccinated.

00:11:23.560 Maybe he's heard about one of those computer viruses.

00:11:26.960 I don't know.

00:11:27.360 I just thought it projected a weirdness or a lack of science or just a general weakness.

00:11:34.280 Compare him to, well, there's China's Xi Jinping on the left.

00:11:37.960 In the middle, there's Vladimir Putin.

00:11:39.820 Even our own Justin Trudeau took off the mask.

00:11:42.920 Listen, he knows about mugging for the cameras.

00:11:44.660 He didn't need to be told twice, but Joe Biden wearing a mask as he accepts a half trillion

00:11:51.320 dollar a year charge on the U.S. economy.

00:11:53.840 Joining me now via Skype from the Washington, D.C. area is our friend Mark Morano, the boss

00:11:58.560 of ClimateDepot.com.

00:12:01.600 Mark, it's hard to believe that during the pandemic, the lockdowns, the economic disruption

00:12:06.920 of the last 14 months that anyone would seriously be talking about spending half a trillion

00:12:12.040 dollars a year in the United States to fight global warming, a fight that, as Bjorn Lomborg

00:12:18.640 points out, has no possibility of success by its own terms, and that China is just laughing

00:12:25.300 at because they're not going to do anything.

00:12:28.160 Yes.

00:12:28.860 And you're right.

00:12:29.820 It makes no sense.

00:12:30.820 But that's exactly where we are.

00:12:33.760 And interestingly enough, you have to understand what the Biden administration is doing.

00:12:39.140 Every cabinet agency is a climate agency.

00:12:42.120 All the executive orders are a way to implement a stealth Green New Deal. 0.83

00:12:46.920 Every funding decision, the transportation bill, 5% bridges and roads, the rest, all of the woke

00:12:53.480 climate, other types of agendas just thrown in, they are trying to implement the Green

00:12:59.900 New Deal without a legislation, without a vote of Congress, because they learned the

00:13:04.160 last time.

00:13:04.720 It was an embarrassment two years ago.

00:13:06.920 Ten years ago, it was an embarrassment when they tried to get the cap-and-trade, carbon-style

00:13:10.760 taxes through.

00:13:11.520 They couldn't even get it through a Democratic House and Senate.

00:13:13.980 They got it through the House, and it stalled in the Senate.

00:13:16.280 So they're doing all this through executive order.

00:13:18.580 But what's amazing is they know the negative impacts it's going to have.

00:13:22.280 They know it's going to hurt poor and minorities the hardest, because they're going to raise

00:13:27.040 the cost of energy.

00:13:27.680 But you know why they don't care?

00:13:28.980 Because it's designed to do that.

00:13:30.580 Because then they get to reach out and have all the subsidies and universal basic income,

00:13:35.140 and they get to help them.

00:13:36.180 They get more voters for life.

00:13:38.060 So I think we have to look at this.

00:13:39.640 This is an interesting perspective, Ezra, because they know this is going to have devastating

00:13:44.800 effects on the very people they claim to be helping.

00:13:48.000 But they don't care, because those effects will justify more government intervention.

00:13:52.280 which is part of the progressive plan.

00:13:54.540 Create a bigger disaster, which requires even more government, which then gives you more

00:13:58.900 power, more guaranteed elections.

00:14:01.180 And they're right on path to do what their goal is.

00:14:03.980 Yeah, you know what?

00:14:05.200 It's shocking to hear it phrased that way, but I think it's true. 1.00

00:14:08.160 I mean, one of the first things that Joe Biden did was to halt the Keystone XL pipeline.

00:14:13.240 That pipeline is actually already built across the border from Canada to the United States.

00:14:17.820 That's almost a year ago now that it was built, but it was not finished.

00:14:21.360 And so he just sees that, frees that.

00:14:25.060 Thousands of unionized steel workers, welders, et cetera, out of work.

00:14:31.200 And he doesn't care.

00:14:32.760 You know, how many millions of people work in fracking all around America?

00:14:38.660 That's the solution.

00:14:39.820 But he wants to, he would rather have those people retraining to learn how to code or whatever

00:14:46.200 the theory is.

00:14:46.940 He would rather have them helpless than earning six figures doing oil, gas, coal, fracking,

00:14:52.500 whatever.

00:14:52.960 It's shocking, but I think you're right on that.

00:14:54.840 And that's exactly the labor leader, Terrence O'Sullivan, head of the Laborers International

00:15:00.240 Union, LIUNA, who was part of all these pipelines and the Keystone.

00:15:04.700 He came out and called it, you know, BS, that the workers could be retrained.

00:15:09.020 They don't really care because in their end goal of all this is to give them make work

00:15:13.600 government jobs based on solar and wind panel subsidies.

00:15:18.020 And that's the only way that they can survive.

00:15:19.420 Some of the stats are hundreds of workers in a solar or wind power environment to equal

00:15:25.060 one worker from a fossil fuel plant.

00:15:27.580 Some others are 67, you know, workers to equal one worker.

00:15:30.960 So they're going to create a lot of jobs in solar and wind, but they're all going to be

00:15:35.140 dependent on government mandate, direct subsidies, massive spending, and they're going to have

00:15:39.600 short timelines and they have to be renewed.

00:15:41.460 But they don't care because the more they get the public, you know, dependent on their

00:15:47.960 actions and more income.

00:15:50.160 And that's why, you know, that's why they love lockdowns, endless lockdowns,

00:15:53.360 bankruptcy economy.

00:15:54.400 And it does one very important thing, get rid of the small businesses, the mom and 0.77

00:15:58.440 pa's, because they can't control them with this sort of great reset agenda.

00:16:02.400 They can't get them to comply with mask mandates or lockdowns or vaccine passports. 0.58

00:16:08.960 And the same thing is true.

00:16:10.240 So with the climate agenda and with the virus agenda, they can just crush everything down

00:16:15.540 and then build back better, i.e., and the socialist universal basic income, all-powerful

00:16:21.880 government model.

00:16:22.660 And that's why climate is happening.

00:16:24.560 To go back to your opening question, Ezra, climate and the virus are working hand in hand.

00:16:30.880 You know, the agenda behind those two to scare us is working hand in hand to crush society

00:16:36.180 as we've known it, the free market system.

00:16:39.140 And they are working overtime for that.

00:16:40.780 Yeah, it's incredible.

00:16:41.980 You know, Xi Jinping, the Chinese dictator, was in that Zoom call there.

00:16:46.720 He doesn't smile a lot, but he must have been loving every moment of it.

00:16:50.880 First, he got the West to flatten its own economy because of the virus.

00:16:55.160 And now he's getting them to agree to this economic suicide while there's no limits on China.

00:17:01.200 Now, here's an image that was just shocking when it came out on New Year's Eve in Wuhan, China.

00:17:09.380 The epicenter or the ground zero of the virus itself, absolutely roaring economy, huge parties

00:17:17.480 on New Year's Eve.

00:17:19.240 Compare China, which, you know, after a blip, you know, their economy's roaring while we're

00:17:26.140 still we're into, what, the 14th, but we've already four months into 2021 in Canada.

00:17:33.140 I see that Trudeau is planning at least until 2024 for his pandemic response.

00:17:41.260 I mean, that really is a shocking five-year plan, to borrow a communist word, while China 0.95

00:17:46.480 is just going full tilt to make up lost ground.

00:17:49.240 I really think that you're right.

00:17:51.620 I think that this is the great reset of the Western economies, while China just laughs

00:17:57.060 and passes everybody in the fast lane.

00:18:00.540 Yeah.

00:18:00.980 In fact, if you look at China, China, of course, is classified as a developing nation, along

00:18:04.940 with India and many other countries in this UN climate pact.

00:18:08.600 So China, yes, there was an independent analysis about a month ago now.

00:18:12.320 I posted at Climate Depot.

00:18:13.780 They're building, on average, one coal plant a month.

00:18:17.080 I'm sorry, a week.

00:18:17.880 One coal plant a week.

00:18:18.900 And I believe they have more coal plants on their building than the entire industrialized

00:18:26.020 Western nations have built.

00:18:27.980 I mean, the stats are unbelievable.

00:18:30.100 They are just going full bore.

00:18:31.900 They're also basically committing to nothing with the climate agenda.

00:18:35.800 All they're doing is doing what analysts have said is going to happen anyway.

00:18:38.940 Their economy is going to hit peak emissions and then start to stabilize as they reach peak

00:18:43.360 industrialization, which essentially happens in every country that has a rapidly growing economy.

00:18:49.160 And they finally reach that sustainable level where they smooth out and then they'll start

00:18:53.880 improving their environment.

00:18:56.100 But what's interesting here is the Biden administration is just lusting after China's approval.

00:19:01.740 John Kerry is willing to go over there, overlook all sorts of human rights violations just in order

00:19:05.600 to get that virtue signaling agreement, knowing full well that they're not going to comply,

00:19:11.440 number one, and knowing full well that it's going to benefit China.

00:19:14.020 They're the ones making the solar and wind panels.

00:19:15.840 They're the ones with the rear-earth monopoly.

00:19:17.640 They're the ones that own 90 percent of the world's cobalt.

00:19:19.700 They're the ones with Chinese-owned companies in Africa with child labor and horrible environmental 1.00

00:19:24.500 standards.

00:19:25.000 So they're the ones that are going to benefit from A to Z on this entire agenda.

00:19:30.700 But yet the United States is desperate right now to get China involved in this.

00:19:35.340 And by the way, anytime Canada, the U.S. or Europe does a Green New Deal or does a U.N.

00:19:41.880 climate or does carbon taxes, it does one thing. 0.70

00:19:44.540 It raises global emissions, period.

00:19:47.300 How?

00:19:47.840 Because it offshores all of our mining industry, energy extraction to countries that don't have

00:19:53.660 the same environmental standards, and they don't have democracies either.

00:19:58.740 So that's what's happening here.

00:20:00.520 This is just unbelievable that this is happening. 0.99

00:20:03.200 And my biggest beef, of course, is Capitol Hill Republicans are quite pathetic in fighting 0.99

00:20:08.160 back on this. 0.98

00:20:08.780 You mentioned a couple that actually stand up and fight.

00:20:11.440 There's a few Republicans, actually, that stand up and fight, but very few in Washington.

00:20:15.580 Yeah, you know, that's a point I made about a decade ago in my book, Ethical Oil, the case

00:20:20.820 for Canada's oil sands, every barrel you don't make in Canada or the United States is a barrel

00:20:27.260 that will be produced in Venezuela, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia.

00:20:32.040 They don't care about human rights, let alone the environment.

00:20:36.880 So you're pushing it away from the most conscientious producers to the worst producers.

00:20:42.140 It makes no sense, but I think some of the folks who are advocating it are either doing so for vested

00:20:50.260 reasons, like ideological reasons, or their friends are all in those eco-lobbies, or some of them

00:20:57.700 generally just want to take America down a peg.

00:20:59.600 I see your book, Green Fraud.

00:21:02.540 And it's Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on the cover.

00:21:06.800 I think she would accurately be described as a communist.

00:21:10.920 And that's not me using it as an insult.

00:21:12.920 That's me using it as a descriptor for her views, the nationalization of the economy,

00:21:19.240 the nationalization of public health, the nationalization of carbon.

00:21:24.260 These are controlling the means of production, controlling the means of life.

00:21:28.280 And I think in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's point of view, and some advisors around Joe Biden,

00:21:33.420 they don't actually believe that America should be the strongest country.

00:21:37.980 I think this is all deliberate, and I think it's all terrifying.

00:21:41.560 It is.

00:21:42.380 I mean, Justin Trudeau actually was praising the Great Reset using the climate agenda.

00:21:46.980 Now, if you go back, the Great Reset world economic point, one of their exact phrases is

00:21:52.160 the U.S. will no longer be the world's leading superpower.

00:21:55.660 That's the stated goal.

00:21:57.200 So all these leaders signing on to this, and we have John Kerry, we have Al Gore, we have

00:22:01.240 Joe Biden, we have Trudeau, using the actual phrase Great Reset.

00:22:05.140 And they're not trying to hide it, although I do think the World Economic Forum has now

00:22:08.100 downplayed it because they realize all the negative press from both.

00:22:12.300 Interestingly enough, the progressive left, as many on the progressive left, people like

00:22:16.800 Naomi Wolf and others who are terrified of this Great Reset agenda.

00:22:21.960 But I think what's happening now, with Joe Biden now pushing this on us, it is going to

00:22:28.240 be so rapid, so fast, a complete transformation.

00:22:31.640 I opened the book Green Fraud with a 2009 quote from MIT climate scientist Richard Linden.

00:22:36.880 And in it, he says, it's hard to imagine, this is in 2009, anything better than carbon

00:22:43.100 dioxide in the atmosphere, trace essential gas, to come up with the control of every aspect

00:22:48.920 of human civilization.

00:22:51.160 Well, if you fast forward just about 11 years, there is one other thing that they could actually

00:22:56.600 envision to control all aspects, and that's a virus.

00:22:59.200 And now the COVID virus is where the lockdowns began and all this Great Reset talk began,

00:23:05.240 a Great Reset of capitalism.

00:23:06.380 Well, now, because of that, we have a situation where climate and COVID are merging together.

00:23:12.300 I have two chapters in the book Green Fraud on that very topic.

00:23:16.000 And right now, we have everyone from Greta Thunberg to John Kerry to Washington Post all

00:23:20.300 talking about how climate change will make viruses worse.

00:23:23.540 They're basically going to piggyback and merge the two issues.

00:23:26.820 We are in for it because we need to elect people that actually have proper, willing to fight

00:23:32.600 this.

00:23:33.260 But unfortunately, most of the people in power now are just weak, weak people in power who

00:23:39.760 don't want to be seen as against public health or seen as against the science when it comes

00:23:43.980 to climate.

00:23:44.820 Yeah, we have that same problem up here in Canada.

00:23:46.580 The Conservative Party is not very conservative.

00:23:48.980 They recently endorsed the carbon tax, ending a decade of opposition to it.

00:23:53.280 It's bad news.

00:23:54.580 Mark, it's great to see you again.

00:23:55.800 Thanks very much.

00:23:56.500 One more reference to your book.

00:23:57.900 It's called Green Fraud. 0.97

00:23:59.140 Green Fraud will have the Amazon link underneath in case folks want to click it.

00:24:02.560 I encourage you to do so.

00:24:04.100 Thanks, Mark.

00:24:04.620 And we'll talk to you again soon.

00:24:06.300 Thank you, Ezra.

00:24:06.860 I appreciate it.

00:24:07.380 All right.

00:24:07.660 There you have it.

00:24:08.040 Mark Miranda.

00:24:08.560 He's the boss of ClimateDepot.com.

00:24:10.320 Stay with us, Mark.

00:24:22.620 Hey, welcome back to my show.

00:24:23.860 On Friday, Bruce writes, I'm sure the Minister of Censorship would be shocked if he read Rebel

00:24:28.120 News' hate mail.

00:24:29.340 We consumers get so much abuse online, even so we learn to take it like grownups.

00:24:33.160 Yeah.

00:24:33.660 I mean, the internet is a place of insults and snark, especially from anonymous accounts.

00:24:42.280 In the case of Rebel News, we get all that and we actually get our people pushed and shoved

00:24:46.540 and sometimes punched and the police really don't help us.

00:24:50.600 If we were the CBC, each time our people were touched would be a national scandal.

00:24:54.740 But politicians would get a taunt and they want to censor the internet.

00:24:57.680 Give me a break.

00:24:59.280 Stephen writes, all these horrible politicians need to be removed.

00:25:03.580 Yeah, but replaced with whom?

00:25:05.420 With Aaron O'Toole?

00:25:06.600 He hasn't opposed any of this.

00:25:09.000 Loretta writes, only feeble-minded people need to censor others because they have no rational 1.00

00:25:13.000 counter-arguments.

00:25:14.320 Well, feeble-minded people or people who just believe, as Mao and Stalin did, the power comes 0.97

00:25:20.100 out of a barrel of a gun.

00:25:21.360 I mean, was it Stalin who said of the Pope, how many divisions does he have when advised

00:25:27.180 that the Pope was against him?

00:25:28.380 I mean, the only reason why Mahatma Gandhi's campaign of passive resistance against the

00:25:35.800 British worked is because the British were British.

00:25:38.400 If you agree to take the punishments of your enemy, you better have an enemy that's gentle

00:25:44.260 like the Brits.

00:25:45.560 Passive resistance didn't work against Stalin or Hitler or Mao.

00:25:49.620 So when you say the feeble-minded people need to censor others, that's true. 1.00

00:25:54.940 But it's also true that brutal-minded, bloody-minded people censor others because it's not that

00:26:01.480 they have no rational counter-arguments.

00:26:03.220 They just don't want to make them.

00:26:05.040 I think we're dealing with a Liberal Party and a Liberal government that's not so much

00:26:09.600 feeble-minded as bloody-minded. 1.00

00:26:11.680 They just want to eliminate the last independent voices in Canada.

00:26:15.680 That's our show for today.

00:26:17.120 Until tomorrow, on behalf of all of us here at Rubber World Headquarters, to you at Elba,

00:26:20.520 good night and keep fighting for freedom.

00:26:33.220 Thank you.

00:26:34.220 Thank you.
