00:06:18.560But Djankovic was on the receiving end of the harshest attacks with her role mischaracterized as she became a primary target on the right-wing internet.

00:07:02.560And they censor and they shut people's accounts down and they ban and block and prevent people from operating on a normal level.

00:07:46.060Anyway, so now, just three weeks after its announcement, the Disinformation Governance Board is being paused, according to multiple employees at the DHS,
00:07:56.240capping a back-and-forth week of decisions that changed during the course of reporting of this story.
00:08:01.360On Monday, DHS decided to shut down the board, according to multiple people with knowledge by the situation.
00:08:05.860By Tuesday morning, Jankovic had drafted a resignation letter in response to the board's dissolution.
00:08:11.140But Tuesday night, Jankovic was pulled into an urgent call with DHS officials who gave her the choice to stay on,
00:08:18.160even as the department's work was put on hold because of the backlash it faced, according to multiple people with knowledge of the call.
00:08:26.140That basically means she would see, I'm sure she would anyway, because there's people behind the scenes handling these things, right?
00:08:32.240But so you're saying, you will have this paid position, you have a cushy job here in D.C.,
