00:00:00.000 Now that Trump scrapped some DEI policies, has woke been defeated?
00:00:04.900 Is that it?
00:00:05.860 If only it were that simple.
00:00:08.100 Republicans loyal to the pre-1964 Constitution see that the only way back to a country free
00:00:14.360 of political correctness and wokeism is to repeal civil rights laws.
00:00:19.220 Yes, you heard me.
00:00:20.380 The Civil Rights Act of 1964 took away our rights and freedoms.
00:00:24.760 It brought us the beginning of woke policy such as affirmative action, diversity quotas, 0.77
00:00:30.800 desegregation, and the end of freedom of association.
00:00:35.400 Early wokeism, political correctness, proved to be the enforcement arm of so-called civil rights.
00:00:42.400 Presidential candidate Barry Goldwater and law professor Robert Bork both pointed out that
00:00:47.580 the Civil Rights Act created conflicts with the constitutional protections
00:00:51.540 accorded to private property and freedom of association.
00:00:55.640 The end of Jim Crow ultimately led to demands for transgender bathrooms and open borders. 1.00
00:01:01.480 It led to special rights and enormous privileges for minorities, 0.98
00:01:04.860 but none for the white majority because all white people are racist and should be replaced. 0.92
00:01:10.300 It's led to the left imposing their views on everyone and suppressing dissenting opinions. 0.97
00:01:16.880 Cancel culture, thought crimes, political prisoners, that's your civil rights. 0.73
00:01:21.540 The war on woke has been ongoing for decades.
00:01:24.460 It went mainstream and it's a war that we're still engaged in.
00:01:28.280 The terms are evolving.
00:01:30.020 In fact, this war has been going for a good century with the introduction of critical theory
00:01:34.040 originating from the Frankfurt School founded by communist intellectual Jews in 1923.
00:01:40.920 They were chased out of Germany, came to America,
00:01:43.780 and they repay us by saying our culture needs to be destroyed.
00:01:47.620 What had seemed in 1964 to be just a friendly reform revealed itself to be something much more.
00:01:54.680 Arthur Christopher Caldwell writes,
00:01:56.320 The changes of the 1960s, with civil rights at their core, were not just a major new element in the constitution.
00:02:04.340 They were a rival constitution with which the original one was frequently incompatible,
00:02:10.180 and the incompatibility would worsen as the civil rights regime was built out.
00:02:15.520 Political correctness was a top-down reform.
00:02:18.300 It was enabled not by new public attitudes towards reactionary opinions,
00:02:23.100 but by new punishments that could be meted out against those who expressed them.
00:02:27.860 The power of political correctness is generally derived from the civil rights laws of the 1960s.
00:02:35.080 President Trump did sign an executive order rescinding Lyndon Johnson's Executive Order 11246,
00:02:41.260 which established affirmative action.
00:02:43.020 That's great!
00:02:44.400 However, wokeery has already captured a broad range of powerful institutions such as
00:02:50.500 academia, media, Hollywood, private corporations, and the public sector.
00:02:56.680 Many say wokeism is on a downward trajectory,
00:03:00.280 that it gained most of its momentum in Obama years and with the rise of Trump,
00:03:04.360 and that it peaked in 2021 with Biden in the White House. 0.92
00:03:07.760 White people got white privilege, white man bad burnout, trans and black power fatigue. 0.93
00:03:14.700 We also got COVID lockdowns, inflation, censorship, and more wars. 1.00
00:03:20.740 Suddenly, the feels of a whining fat black woman complaining about the lack of black ballet slippers, 1.00
00:03:27.320 or a tranny who couldn't use a particular toilet, wasn't a priority. 0.99
00:03:31.380 We hear less of intersectionality and microaggressions.
00:03:35.020 Die exec roles are rapidly disappearing, and polls suggest that woke opinions are on the decline.
00:03:41.480 Some on the left states because their ideas have already taken hold, that America is less racist now.
00:03:46.700 And we do see Republicans who claim to be anti-woke, but brag about the latest gay, black, or immigrant hire 0.95
00:03:53.860 and signal how they aren't racist like those bad Nazis over there. 0.99
00:03:57.120 They love Jews. 0.95
00:03:58.480 There's your woke right.
00:03:59.580 Hi, I'm an Israeli, I'm a Jew, so I'm asking, please vote for Trump.
00:04:06.720 By the way, liberal Jews who helped push woke more than anyone are even turning against it,
00:04:12.580 but only for selfish interests.
00:04:14.700 Israel.
00:04:15.720 Many lefties also admit, yeah, we push too hard with the forced quotas and die policies.
00:04:20.720 A few planes and bridges may have gone down because of it.
00:04:23.500 So maybe placing people artificially for political reasons isn't the way to go.
00:04:28.460 We have committed that 50% of the classes will be women or people of color.
00:04:34.540 Today, only 19% of our pilots at United Airlines are women or people of color.
00:04:43.200 Yeah, unequal outcomes are real. 1.00
00:04:46.480 Goodbye, die. 0.95
00:04:47.640 Hello, my.
00:04:48.360 I think the next decade will be very telling to know how die has changed the country.
00:04:54.100 Racial demographics and Gen Z will be a huge part of the puzzle. 1.00
00:04:59.480 Meanwhile, anti-white critical race theory is still being taught in schools.
00:05:03.840 And countless woke movies are being churned out of the anti-white factory.
00:05:08.820 Woke has already usurped conservative minds.
00:05:10.920 I remember when many anti-woke activists said,
00:05:14.240 don't call CRT anti-white because it will lead to a pro-white white identity movement.
00:05:18.980 And that's bad. 0.74
00:05:20.160 It's really hurting Asian and black kids.
00:05:22.600 Liberals say CRT isn't anti-white.
00:05:25.060 It's anti-racist, which is the same thing because according to CRT,
00:05:29.100 only whites can be racist. 0.96
00:05:30.820 Either way, whites can't win. 0.96
00:05:33.040 The term woke might be in terminal decline, but a new one will come.
00:05:36.540 And the ideas are going to be around for a while.
00:05:41.620 Just because you close an office or take the tampons out of the men's bathroom 0.99
00:05:46.000 doesn't mean they stop believing.
00:05:49.220 Everyone who menstruates deserves to menstruate with dignity.
00:05:53.020 So that means being able to menstruate in a way that feels comfortable to them,
00:05:57.400 that feels safe to them, using the products that they're most comfortable using,
00:06:02.020 and then they have access to these products.
00:06:03.780 Silence.
00:06:04.160 Wokeness surged under Trump, receded under Biden.
00:06:08.600 Wokery thrives in opposition. 0.61
00:06:10.660 It's not the end of the culture war.
00:06:13.280 We may see universities tone it down and pretend to be neutral,
00:06:16.860 but the scheming and repackaging will most definitely continue.
00:06:21.060 Both the woke and mainstream anti-woke movements have lost their edge.
00:06:26.420 We'll see a compromise between the two in the mainstream.
00:06:29.240 Meanwhile, the extreme fringes will continue to push the conversation in their direction,
00:06:34.500 as they always do.
00:06:36.020 Trump only has four years.
00:06:37.780 Everything he undoes will be redone.
00:06:41.140 That's what we need to start preparing for.
00:06:43.020 I'm Lana.
