Transcript

00:00:01.000 Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boring has stepped down.
00:00:05.820 What do I think is really going on here?
00:00:08.340 I'll give you my assessment.
00:00:10.380 Also, megachurch pastor Robert Morris has been officially charged in the state of Oklahoma
00:00:16.940 with indecent acts against a child.
00:00:19.560 We will give you the breakdown of that sad story, but also why we have to be reminded
00:00:24.640 of hope in the midst of a tragedy like that.
00:00:27.980 And we've got a little lighthearted segment at the end of today's episode that you don't
00:00:32.400 want to miss.
00:00:33.300 It's brought to you by our friends at Good Ranchers.
00:00:35.760 Go to goodranchers.com, code Allie.
00:00:38.200 That's goodranchers.com, code Allie.
00:00:50.000 Hey guys, welcome to Relatable.
00:00:52.080 Happy Thursday.
00:00:53.040 Hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far.
00:00:54.940 I know that you've had replays the past couple of days and nothing new to watch on YouTube
00:01:01.160 or Spotify.
00:01:02.860 However, we are back with a new episode today.
00:01:06.440 And if you didn't catch my Instagram story, you might be a little confused because I promised
00:01:11.600 on Tuesday that we would have the Nicole Shanahan interview on Wednesday, but it just was a little
00:01:19.340 bit more technologically involved to put together this episode with the files that we have.
00:01:26.220 And so we're just giving ourselves a little bit more time.
00:01:29.480 So we're putting it out on Monday.
00:01:31.500 And guys, this is an interview that you don't want to miss.
00:01:35.600 Producer Brie and I traveled to California to have this sit down interview.
00:01:39.720 She talks about things she has never shared before.
00:01:42.720 It was at times an emotional conversation.
00:01:46.340 It was a fascinating and revelatory conversation about the machine that is Silicon Valley politics
00:01:53.340 and how she was inundated in progressive politics herself.
00:01:56.900 And she has had an awakening.
00:01:58.900 We talk about the different things that led to that.
00:02:01.280 It was an hour and a half conversation.
00:02:03.360 It could have been three hours.
00:02:04.780 There are going to be things that you are shocked by, but also things that you'll be like,
00:02:10.740 wait, why didn't you ask this?
00:02:12.000 Why didn't you go there?
00:02:13.680 I had a list of questions that we didn't get to because everything that we did talk about
00:02:17.700 was just so deep and so much.
00:02:21.340 And so we'll have to do a part two at some point where I ask all of the other questions
00:02:26.100 that I had.
00:02:26.800 She is a fascinating, very smart, very just lovely person.
00:02:31.160 And you guys are going to learn a lot.
00:02:33.160 And I just think really like and appreciate Monday's episode.
00:02:36.340 And so I'm super, super excited for you to watch and listen to it.
00:02:39.500 Make sure that you look out for that then.
00:02:42.500 Okay, excuse me.
00:02:43.660 Before we get into the topics for today, I just want to remind you guys, since I haven't
00:02:47.380 been able to do that for the past couple of days, about Share the Arrows.
00:02:50.900 Share the Arrows 2025, Dallas, Texas, October 11th.
00:02:54.880 This is a women's conference, a Christian women's conference.
00:02:59.380 And I am waiting.
00:03:02.060 I have the speaker lineup, but I am waiting for the final signature of one of the speakers.
00:03:07.760 And I would like to like announce them all at the same time.
00:03:11.000 Guys, it's going to be absolutely incredible.
00:03:13.740 I am so excited about the worship, about the teaching.
00:03:16.500 It's going to be hard hitting and challenging and theologically deep.
00:03:20.020 And I'm just pumped about it.
00:03:21.860 And so go to sharethearrows.com and get your tickets today.
00:03:26.400 Bring your small group, bring your sisters and your friends, your mother, your mother-in-law,
00:03:31.200 all the women in your life, bring them to Share the Arrows, October 11th.
00:03:36.420 Go ahead and get those tickets, get the flights, get the hotels so you can get the best deal
00:03:41.200 on all of them.
00:03:42.240 That is sharethearrows.com.
00:03:45.280 All right, let's get into all of the things that we got to cover today.
00:03:49.980 It's a lot, especially since over the past two days, I haven't been able to talk about
00:03:53.560 anything.
00:03:54.400 There's just so much that I want to pack into this one episode.
00:03:57.860 But first, I want to start on a God-glorifying, beautiful, lighthearted note.
00:04:04.000 I guess it's kind of lighthearted.
00:04:05.400 It's also a little sad.
00:04:06.940 I guess you could call it bittersweet.
00:04:08.640 The astronauts, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, that were stranded in space for nine months,
00:04:15.180 like a whole baby was like gestated during the time that they were, not actually, but
00:04:21.540 I'm just saying, like there were babies here on Earth that were like created and birthed
00:04:26.480 during the time that they were stranded in outer space.
00:04:30.840 That's got to be like one of the scariest situations.
00:04:34.980 I had like a full body scan the other day.
00:04:38.040 I've talked about it before, my Pernuvo scan.
00:04:40.720 It's like a magnetic scan for your body.
00:04:44.020 And I, towards the very end, got really claustrophobic.
00:04:48.420 And I would have said that I am not claustrophobic, that that kind of thing doesn't freak me out
00:04:53.680 at all. At the very end, I kind of freaked out.
00:04:56.720 And I was like, if you don't let me out of here, I am going to break this thing.
00:05:00.840 It's crazy how your mind just starts playing tricks on you.
00:05:03.820 It becomes completely illogical, which is why it's called a phobia.
00:05:07.320 I cannot imagine these people and the mental toughness and the endurance that they had to
00:05:15.080 have in order to stay alive and to not know if they will ever see their families again,
00:05:21.620 if they will ever be released from this small space.
00:05:23.900 It's not like you can just go out and get some fresh air and to just know that you could
00:05:28.940 be trapped there indefinitely.
00:05:30.700 How did they not go insane?
00:05:32.260 They were there for more than 280 days, stuck at the International Space Station prior to beginning
00:05:38.980 their descent back to Earth because they did make it back, thanks to Elon Musk and Donald
00:05:44.680 Trump, something that Joe Biden could and would not do.
00:05:47.840 According to Elon Musk, President Biden refused to do what needed to be done to bring them back.
00:05:53.300 There was a new spaceship that went up there with new people to do their job up at the International
00:06:00.080 Space Station. And then that shuttle took them back down to Earth.
00:06:06.120 And so after the new people got up there, CBS managed to interview them.
00:06:12.580 OK, so these people are in space and CBS is interviewing them, which is amazing.
00:06:17.480 Like I can't even get Wi-Fi in some places in like the middle of a city.
00:06:22.700 And we have the technology to interview people from space.
00:06:25.880 It's crazy. So CBS interviewed these people from space before they came back down to America
00:06:33.020 after their rescuers had gotten there. And here was the response of Captain Butch Wilmore.
00:06:40.480 My feeling on all of this goes back to my faith. It's bound in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
00:06:48.180 He is working out his plan and his purposes for his glory throughout all of humanity.
00:06:53.040 And how that plays into our lives is significant and important.
00:06:55.700 And however that plays out, and I am content because I understand that.
00:07:00.480 I understand that he's at work in all things. Some things are for the good.
00:07:04.860 Go to Hebrews chapter 11. Some things look to us to be not so good.
00:07:09.140 But it's all working out for his good, for those that will believe.
00:07:13.480 And that's the answer. So thanks for asking.
00:07:16.480 I just love that so much. I mean, I guess we have the answer to how he was able to maintain his peace
00:07:23.420 and his sanity and his stability while he was there, potentially abandoned.
00:07:27.560 I mean, he believes that God is working all things together for his good.
00:07:32.460 And he took this opportunity to give glory to God and to share the gospel.
00:07:36.480 You can tell that's a good Southern man right there.
00:07:38.760 Butch Wilmore is like a perfect astronaut name.
00:07:41.460 Don't ask me why. It just is.
00:07:44.100 And I'm just so thankful for that.
00:07:45.800 So thank you to Butch, to Captain Wilmore, for giving glory to God.
00:07:52.020 And thank God for how he orchestrated their saving in the physical sense.
00:07:57.840 I want to play you a video of them arriving back on Earth in their little shuttle,
00:08:05.680 if that's the proper term, their space pod,
00:08:08.880 in the Gulf of America, literally greeted by a pod of dolphins.
00:08:16.000 It's really sweet. Here it is.
00:08:18.340 Earlier, we saw that person performing safety checks.
00:08:22.160 Now we can see some harnessing being placed around the capsule.
00:08:26.360 This harnessing is what will be used to lift the dragon capsule out of the water and onto the recovery vessel.
00:08:33.540 Well, wow, we got a cute little pod of dolphins.
00:08:36.340 It wasn't just one or two.
00:08:40.060 OK, I mean, that's just incredible.
00:08:42.420 Like, it looks like there's a rainbow.
00:08:44.320 There's literally dolphins greeting them back.
00:08:46.800 I think that is even orchestrated by the Lord.
00:08:49.740 Of course it is.
00:08:50.620 And just like a really sweet moment.
00:08:52.580 And again, just to reiterate, this did become political.
00:08:57.920 Like many things that we've realized over the past couple of months since President Trump has gotten in office,
00:09:03.840 that much of what was not happening under the Biden administration was not inevitable.
00:09:10.200 Or what was happening under the Biden administration, it was not inevitable.
00:09:14.300 They were the results of specific choices by the Biden administration.
00:09:17.600 SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said in a March interview with Joe Rogan that he told then-President Biden,
00:09:25.420 so this is several months ago when Biden was president, that SpaceX could bring the astronauts home, but Biden refused.
00:09:33.000 Butch Wilmore was asked in an interview from the International Space Station in March about Musk's claim,
00:09:40.080 and he said that Musk's statements are factual.
00:09:43.660 He didn't know much else besides that.
00:09:47.600 But, of course, now because of SpaceX, this is SpaceX Dragon, because of the efforts of the Trump administration,
00:09:56.580 they are back home.
00:09:57.480 So just praise God for that.
00:10:00.140 I am sure that their families are just so thrilled.
00:10:03.760 I can't imagine the joy that they're feeling right now.
00:10:07.180 So praise the Lord for that.
00:10:08.660 All right.
00:10:09.320 We've got a much less lighthearted story to get to, but very important in just a second.
00:10:13.820 Let me pause and tell you about our first sponsor for the day.
00:10:16.280 That's Adele Natural Cosmetics.
00:10:18.700 Y'all, I love Adele Natural Cosmetics.
00:10:20.660 I always tell you that I'm using their skincare every day.
00:10:23.420 That is true.
00:10:24.420 I use their essential cleanser.
00:10:26.560 Even when I've got my studio makeup on, which is a little heavier, I use their essential cleanser.
00:10:31.280 And I feel like my skin is not only totally clean after I use it.
00:10:35.360 It's not this, you know, sudsy kind of like soapy cleanser.
00:10:38.800 It's oil-based.
00:10:39.800 It feels like olive oil.
00:10:40.860 I feel like my skin is totally clean, but also just really moisturized and glowing.
00:10:45.460 But, you know, one product that I don't talk about or haven't talked about as much, but I use every week, is their exfoliant.
00:10:52.060 So it looks like red clay and it smells like coffee.
00:10:55.480 It really wakes up your skin.
00:10:57.420 I don't exfoliate that often because my skin is sensitive, but when I, especially like after I travel and I just feel like I need a new layer of fresh skin, I use their exfoliant and it works really well.
00:11:10.020 Like everything Adele Natural Cosmetics makes, it is truly holistic, all natural ingredients, nothing fake, nothing synthetic, everything from God's medicine cabinet.
00:11:20.820 That includes their makeup.
00:11:22.940 I use their moisturizing foundation, their blush.
00:11:26.060 It's all really good.
00:11:27.660 Plus, this is a Christian family-owned company.
00:11:30.460 They make all of their products by hand.
00:11:32.580 It's just a win all around to support them.
00:11:34.960 Go to adelnaturalcosmetics.com.
00:11:37.220 Use code Allie for 25% off your first time purchase.
00:11:40.720 That's adelnaturalcosmetics.com, code Allie.
00:11:43.780 Several months ago, we talked about longtime pastor of a huge megachurch outside of Dallas, Gateway Church, whose name is Robert Morris, being accused of the routine sexual assault of a child in the 1980s.
00:12:08.640 The woman is named Cindy, and she came forward not only with these allegations, but with receipts of trying to confront the Morrises, of trying to tell her story, and routinely being silenced in a variety of ways, including through a non-disclosure agreement.
00:12:27.920 And now he has been, Robert Morris, has officially been charged with five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child.
00:12:37.280 Morris formally pleaded not guilty to the charges on Monday and was released on a $50,000 bond.
00:12:46.900 And that happened in the state of Oklahoma, where the crimes had originally taken place.
00:12:53.380 So a little bit more on the background.
00:12:56.200 Last June, 54-year-old Cindy Clemshire reported that she had been sexually abused over multiple years in the 1980s by Morris.
00:13:05.800 He was a young, married, traveling evangelist at the time.
00:13:09.540 Cindy's parents trusted him, allowed him into their home.
00:13:15.820 He would stay there with his wife, and Cindy claimed that he would sneak into his room, or her room, rather, and that he would sexually molest her.
00:13:28.360 At the age of 16, after over four years of abuse, so she claims this started when she was just 12, Cindy confided in a close friend who encouraged her to tell her family.
00:13:41.200 And so she did tell her father.
00:13:43.520 Her father confronted Morris and said, you know, if you don't get away from us and step down here, we're going to do something else about this.
00:13:51.620 Of course, the right response would have been right there to go to local authorities, because at that point, that's outside of just church jurisdiction.
00:14:00.660 That is civil authorities' responsibility to punish evil.
00:14:05.180 Morris stepped away from the ministry for just two years.
00:14:08.000 He eventually wanted to go back to pastoring.
00:14:10.820 During this time, Cindy said that she received a call from Debbie Morris, Robert's wife, who told Cindy that she forgave her.
00:14:19.140 Now, remember, Cindy, according to her own story, was not asking for forgiveness.
00:14:25.100 Debbie Morris, it seems, kind of called her out of the blue just to say, hey, just so you know, we forgive you for this accusation.
00:14:33.540 Cindy had been talking about the abuse within her own personal circle, her friends, for years.
00:14:38.780 So there are friends who say, yeah, Cindy did tell us about this at the time.
00:14:42.560 This isn't just randomly coming up now.
00:14:45.540 She actually tried to sue Morris in 2005, but her actions did not generate much attention.
00:14:51.480 At the time, she obtained an attorney to file a civil lawsuit against Morris.
00:14:58.020 Morris's attorney implied in response to that that they believed it was her fault, Cindy's fault, for being, quote, unquote, flirtatious.
00:15:07.620 At that time, they tried to offer her $25,000 to not talk about it.
00:15:13.500 She refused.
00:15:15.040 She then decided again last June to come forward publicly at the urging of her pastor,
00:15:22.120 who was also the friend of the editor of an outlet called the Wartburg Watch.
00:15:29.400 So that's who broke this story again in June.
00:15:33.500 After the story broke last June 14th, Robert Morris and Gateway Church released statements that minimized Morris's abuse as the sexual sins of a young man who has since repented.
00:15:45.180 Neither mentioned that the girl in question was actually a minor.
00:15:48.780 They say this was sexual behavior with a young lady.
00:15:53.200 This is what they said in the statement.
00:15:55.180 No, a 12-year-old is not a young lady.
00:15:57.160 That is a child that is being molested.
00:15:59.980 It doesn't matter if the person says, oh, well, this person consented.
00:16:04.280 A minor cannot consent no matter what they verbally say.
00:16:09.120 The elders of Gateway Church said that Pastor Robert has been open and forthright about a moral failure he had over 35 years ago.
00:16:17.740 So the inclusion of that phrase over 35 years ago is supposed to imply this was a long time ago.
00:16:23.720 It doesn't matter.
00:16:25.880 But, of course, it does matter, especially when justice has not been carried out.
00:16:30.380 Neither statement, again, was entirely true.
00:16:33.900 Cindy responded to this via the Christian Post.
00:16:36.480 She said that she was appalled that Morris referred to her as a young lady.
00:16:40.360 She said, I was a little girl, a very innocent little girl.
00:16:43.440 And she also said that the lie was that it was just kissing.
00:16:51.320 It was just that they were behaving inappropriately together.
00:16:55.960 But she says, he says there was no sexual intercourse, but he did touch every part of my body.
00:17:01.600 And this is graphic.
00:17:02.860 I'm just warning you.
00:17:03.660 He said he inserted his fingers into me, which I understand now is considered a form of rape by instrumentation.
00:17:09.280 I was an innocent 12-year-old little girl who knew nothing about sexual behavior.
00:17:14.420 I mean, that is just absolutely abhorrent.
00:17:17.540 Yes, that is a crime that should put you in jail.
00:17:20.220 Obviously, that disqualifies you from ministry forever.
00:17:24.880 Particularly when you are in a pastoral position, a professing Christian, when you are molesting a child, you should be nowhere near a pulpit.
00:17:34.600 And anyone who says, well, look at the ministry he created and the lives that he reached and all of the people who heard about the good news of Jesus and who were helped by Gateway Church.
00:17:44.240 Look, God works despite the evil of man, not because of it.
00:17:49.320 That points to God's goodness and God's power.
00:17:52.700 If indeed people truly heard the gospel through anything that Robert Morris was saying or building at the time or leading at the time, God is really, really faithful.
00:18:06.020 That does not mean that he approves of Robert Morris' behavior, that he has forgotten about it.
00:18:11.280 In fact, he says that vengeance is mine, says the Lord, I will repay.
00:18:17.400 And I believe that his wrath was kindling towards this act and that this justice, this finding out of Robert Morris is not just justice and faithfulness to Cindy, who I understand is still, you know, still is a Christian.
00:18:34.180 Thank the Lord for that, but also truly a grace to Robert Morris.
00:18:40.000 Sometimes the most gracious thing that God can do is allow you to be found out for your sin, because that hiding creates a callousness in you, creates a separation between you and God.
00:18:53.580 And it is through God's mercy and even his love for the perpetrator of this awful abuse, Robert Morris, that he said, you are no longer going to be in hiding and far from me, but I am going to bring you to a place of total devastation and vulnerability in the hopes that you will truly repent.
00:19:11.840 And I don't know if that's where Robert Morris is, but I pray to God that it is.
00:19:15.620 I pray for repentance for everyone, for everyone, period.
00:19:21.980 Even for someone who committed such an evil act, like the best form of justice in addition to the civil justice is also that he realizes the severity not only of his sin 35 years ago, but the sin of being a fake shepherd, the sin of living a lie.
00:19:39.540 Now, thankfully, he did resign from Gateway Church on June 18th after the report was published.
00:19:49.440 At the time, the church claimed that Morris had not revealed that it was a little girl, so they made their original statements when everyone, understandably, was up in arms, like really a young lady, sexual sin that happened 35 years ago.
00:20:02.300 That's how you guys are handling child molestation.
00:20:05.520 They changed course and they said, oh, wait, we didn't know that it was a child's.
00:20:09.540 Which doesn't necessarily seem true.
00:20:13.360 And then he resigned.
00:20:14.720 Now, I'm glad that he resigned.
00:20:16.800 It is reported by the Christian Post that Gateway Church subsequently authorized an independent investigation into the allegations against Morris.
00:20:24.900 And last November, the results showed that there were elders and employees at Gateway who did know about Cindy's young age before the report detailing her abuse went public.
00:20:34.840 These elders were also removed from the church.
00:20:37.300 Praise God.
00:20:38.040 And I do pray.
00:20:39.820 I pray for Gateway.
00:20:41.000 Gosh, I pray for every single believer that has ever been a part of that church.
00:20:44.340 When you trust, no matter what pastor it is, and we talked about a lot of pastors who have failed in different ways recently, that is really rocking for your faith.
00:20:58.360 It really is.
00:20:59.420 And thank the Lord that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
00:21:03.900 But you understand how that can be really difficult for someone, especially who may be a new Christian, who looked up to someone as a spiritual mentor.
00:21:11.900 And you're thinking, if you don't even get it, how can I get it?
00:21:15.260 And of course, we have so much grace, and we preach the gospel over and over again to ourselves and to those people.
00:21:21.180 But have compassion for people who are rocked by things like this, because this is really tough.
00:21:29.220 This is really tough.
00:21:29.960 So pray for Gateway Church that they would have a leadership and elders and a pastor who believe truly in the gospel, who are living that out in every area of their lives.
00:21:43.020 To have integrity means to have your life integrated.
00:21:46.580 So all different parts of your life are integrated in the gospel of Christ.
00:21:51.680 There's no part over here that is like secret sin that you allow to fester, because that's how Satan creates a foothold.
00:21:57.800 And then he's used this to try to shipwreck the faith of people, to try to test people's belief, not in Robert Morris, but in God himself.
00:22:07.300 And we know that the gates of hell won't prevail against the church, and we're thankful for that.
00:22:11.360 But we've got to pray for this local church, too.
00:22:13.920 They would put good leadership in charge, who believe in the gospel, preach the gospel, who believe in the authority of God's word, and live those integrated lives.
00:22:21.560 All right, we've got more new information about this in just a second, but we've got quite a few ads to get to today.
00:22:26.400 Since we didn't have new episodes for the past couple days, we've got more than usual.
00:22:30.180 Let me pause and tell you about our second one.
00:22:32.540 It's WeHeart Nutrition.
00:22:33.840 Y'all know how much I love WeHeart Nutrition.
00:22:37.000 You know that WeHeart Nutrition gives back a percentage of their sales to pregnancy care centers across the country.
00:22:45.940 They have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for these pregnancy care centers, and they just do such an amazing job.
00:22:54.000 They just introduced this new product that I'm super excited about that they're calling the Swiss Army Knife for Women's Hormones.
00:23:02.140 Honestly, that's the perfect way to describe their wholesome, balanced product.
00:23:05.860 I haven't tried this yet.
00:23:06.740 I'm really excited.
00:23:07.380 I've just been thinking recently how I feel like my hormones are kind of out of whack right now, randomly, and I need some help with that.
00:23:13.900 So I'm pumped about this.
00:23:15.740 They formulated it using clinically-backed ingredients that do so much for women's health.
00:23:20.260 It has things like saffron, ginger, curcumin, and key B vitamins, all in research-supported doses so that your body can actually absorb it.
00:23:32.920 If you struggle with PMS symptoms, if you're pregnant, fighting morning sickness, if you're in perimenopause, you need this.
00:23:40.600 I'll try it, and I will give you my honest assessment if it's helped me.
00:23:43.780 I'll give it three months, and I'll give you my honest assessment for how I feel it's helped me.
00:23:47.980 Go to WeHeartNutrition.com, grab your first bottle of Wholesome Balance.
00:23:52.540 Use code Allie for 20% off.
00:23:54.860 WeHeartNutrition.com, code Allie.
00:23:57.440 So, in Oklahoma, he was indicted, Morris was indicted last week on five counts of looter and decent acts with a child by a multi-county grand jury in Oklahoma.
00:24:17.580 The Oklahoma Attorney General's Office noted that the statute of limitations is not applicable to the charges against Morris.
00:24:25.480 Again, thank God for that.
00:24:27.900 He said Oklahoma, or the Oklahoma Attorney General, said that Oklahoma and other frontier states have a provision in their laws that allows them to pause the statute of limitations.
00:24:38.640 So, statute of limitations says, okay, after a certain point, someone can't be charged for a crime that they committed, but it doesn't apply to all crimes.
00:24:47.800 So, they're saying when it comes to a crime like this, sexual assault of a child, that statute of limitations does not apply.
00:24:54.980 Even though it was 35 years ago, he can obviously still be charged.
00:24:58.260 I think that's really good.
00:24:59.820 Since Morris was a traveling evangelist who did not reside in Oklahoma when he is alleged to have committed the crimes, Drummond, the attorney general, and his prosecutors argue that there was a pause on the statute of limitations.
00:25:11.260 Okay.
00:25:12.200 So, that changes what I said just a little bit.
00:25:14.380 So, it does have to do with the crime, but it also just has to do with the fact that the statute of limitations doesn't apply here because he was not actually a resident of Oklahoma.
00:25:22.780 He was traveling around, and so that changes the policy around the statute of limitations.
00:25:29.560 Arrest documents show that Morris was formally booked by the Osage County Sheriff's Office in Oklahoma at 7.57 a.m. last Monday, was released minutes later on bond.
00:25:40.400 Morris is set to appear in court on May 9th.
00:25:44.020 He faces a possible 100 years maximum in prison if he is convicted on all five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child, and a judge orders sentences to be served consecutively.
00:25:57.480 He could also be sentenced to as little as five years in prison if convicted on all five counts due to the law that was in effect for the crime more than 35 years ago.
00:26:07.240 So, that's quite a wide range.
00:26:09.800 Quite a wide range.
00:26:11.100 The Oklahoma's Office of the Attorney General told the Christian Post at the time of the abuse, the range of punishment was 1 to 20 years in prison.
00:26:18.640 The additional restrictions based on the victim's age were not in effect in the law at the time of Morris' alleged crime.
00:26:27.400 So, 1 to 20 years, the reason why the lowest he could be sentenced, the lowest amount of time he could be sentenced to is because there's five counts.
00:26:37.300 That would be one year for each count if he is charged with all five.
00:26:40.880 So, he could be, I guess, theoretically, if he was found not guilty in all of these, he could spend no time in jail, or he could spend just one year in jail if he is only convicted, found guilty of one of these charges.
00:26:53.140 But if he's found guilty of all five, minimum five years, up to 100 years in prison, again, the math works out.
00:27:00.960 Because if the maximum 35 years ago was 20 years for these charges, then five times 20 is 100.
00:27:08.320 So, I doubt that he will get 100 years in prison, but he does deserve to go to prison.
00:27:15.180 He absolutely does.
00:27:16.120 Just because something was a long time ago doesn't mean that justice should not be served.
00:27:20.360 The government, as instituted by God, we read in Romans 13, is to execute justice against the wrongdoer.
00:27:28.020 It's to punish evil and to reward good.
00:27:31.360 So, this, again, is under the jurisdiction of the government, not just the local church, and what is being done here is right.
00:27:40.060 Gateway Church released this statement after the indictment.
00:27:43.360 We are aware of the actions being taken by the legal authorities in Oklahoma, and we are grateful for the work of the justice system in holding abusers accountable for their actions.
00:27:56.500 We continue to pray for Cindy Clemeshire and her family, for the members and staff of Gateway Church, and for all of those impacted by this terrible situation.
00:28:04.260 Well, that's a much better response than they initially had.
00:28:08.440 Cindy Clemeshire shared her story in front of lawmakers at the Texas State Capitol yesterday.
00:28:16.360 Clemeshire testified in favor of a Texas bill that would eliminate NDA agreements for survivors of sexual abuse and civil court agreements.
00:28:24.580 About 18 years ago, Clemeshire, as we already noted, said Morris offered her a settlement.
00:28:30.300 If she signed an NDA, she declined.
00:28:32.280 She said, I would never sign anything that gave my rights away to share my story.
00:28:36.180 But other people are in more vulnerable situations, and really an NDA should not apply.
00:28:42.840 Like if someone was sexually abused, even if they signed an NDA and they come forward, they shouldn't be.
00:28:49.140 And you can do that, but there is risk.
00:28:52.800 There is potential risk there of coming forward.
00:28:55.440 And she's saying there should be no risk whatsoever for someone to come forward with that kind of information.
00:29:00.940 When asked about Morris' not guilty plea, because he did plea not guilty to all of these charges,
00:29:10.760 Clemeshire told the Christian Post, it did not surprise me.
00:29:14.340 It is my understanding any attorney would advise their client to plead not guilty.
00:29:17.960 It gives the criminal the opportunity to negotiate a plea.
00:29:22.280 So the person, D. Parsons, who originally reported on this for Wartburg Watch, said,
00:29:29.820 Gateway Church founder Robert Morris surrenders, expects to plead not guilty.
00:29:33.960 And this person says, if he pleads not guilty, we will know exactly how he treats the truth.
00:29:39.520 Well, I don't think that was ever up for debate.
00:29:43.680 But I think that we were all aware of how he treated the truth, the fact that he kept this a secret for 35 years
00:29:50.780 and continued to be in pastoral leadership.
00:29:53.920 So, again, continue to pray for all of them.
00:29:57.040 Continue to pray for this entire situation, for Cindy, her family, living with this pain for so long,
00:30:02.320 and just pray that they would trust in the saving grace of Jesus and the faithfulness of Jesus,
00:30:07.720 including Robert Morris, including his entire family who has been affected by this.
00:30:13.680 And that's what we want.
00:30:15.640 We want whatever Satan means for evil to be redeemed and turned for good.
00:30:20.060 And God is in the business of redemption.
00:30:22.300 And his eternal plan of redemption is always going off without a hitch.
00:30:25.380 He knows who his sheep are.
00:30:27.080 He knows who his people are.
00:30:28.460 There's nothing that can thwart his will, Job 42.2.
00:30:31.160 And we just have to trust in the power and the sovereignty and the goodness, the mercy, the faithfulness of God.
00:30:37.020 Okay, before we get into the rest of that, I have to take another quick pause to get another add in.
00:30:41.280 And that is pre-born.
00:30:43.480 Y'all, I love pre-born.
00:30:45.200 This is a network of pro-life clinics across the country that is saving baby lives.
00:30:51.440 Let me tell you this story.
00:30:53.620 This is the story of a real client at a pre-born pregnancy center.
00:30:58.020 Maddie was in a really tough situation.
00:30:59.820 She wasn't sure who the father of her child was.
00:31:03.440 But after receiving counseling, prayer, a free ultrasound at a pre-born network clinic, everything changed.
00:31:10.220 And she discovered that not only was she pregnant, but she was actually pregnant with twins.
00:31:14.240 And she found the strength that she needed to choose life.
00:31:17.520 And so instead of feeling like she was alone and in a desperate situation, she was given the information that she needed, the strength, the hope that she needed to keep her babies and parent her children.
00:31:28.780 And that's what your donations are doing.
00:31:32.220 You are paying for the cost of an ultrasound.
00:31:34.300 You are paying for the cost of these facilities that translates into these women getting the help that they need.
00:31:40.400 Their baby's being saved.
00:31:42.180 They're ministered to.
00:31:43.480 And they are encouraged and they are made to feel for the first time sometimes like they are really not alone.
00:31:51.880 That makes a difference not just here, but also in eternity.
00:31:55.440 Your tax-deductible donation of just $28 sponsors one ultrasound.
00:32:01.580 So you could save a lot of babies if you donate even more than $28.
00:32:07.040 However much you can donate to cover the cost of those ultrasounds, you are saving lives.
00:32:12.240 Go to preborn.com slash Allie.
00:32:16.140 Preborn.com slash Allie to make your donation.
00:32:19.240 Preborn.com slash Allie.
00:32:25.620 All right.
00:32:26.920 Let's move on to this Daily Wire story.
00:32:29.460 So this was a big story this week.
00:32:31.280 Another big media shakeup in the conservative world.
00:32:35.980 And that is that Jeremy Boring, the co-founder and co-CEO of The Daily Wire, is stepping down from his role.
00:32:44.900 He says to focus on creative projects for the company.
00:32:48.580 He told staff in a memo that was reported first by Axios this week.
00:32:54.100 So Axios got the exclusive on this.
00:32:57.200 Axios has done a lot of exclusive reporting for The Daily Wire.
00:33:00.540 So a little bit of background before I get into kind of what it seems like happened.
00:33:08.000 Boring founded The Daily Wire in 2015 alongside Ben Shapiro and Caleb Robinson.
00:33:14.060 Robinson and Boring have been co-CEOs since 2019.
00:33:18.720 He will take over, according to Axios, as the one and only CEO, effective immediately.
00:33:25.680 The memo says, the reporting by Axios says that Boring will remain with the company in an advisory role.
00:33:32.700 We'll focus on creative projects full-time, including the Daily Wire TV series, The Pindragon Cycle.
00:33:39.420 He is the director and executive producer of that.
00:33:43.360 Boring said this in a statement.
00:33:45.280 When Ben Caleb and I founded The Daily Wire in 2015, we set out to build an institution.
00:33:51.800 I'm enormously proud of our team, our many battles, and of the successes we have achieved together.
00:33:57.000 To get us to the heights we know we can achieve, we have brought in a world-class executive team
00:34:01.480 that I am confident will thrive in taking us to the next level under Caleb's ongoing leadership.
00:34:06.280 While I turn my full attention to creative and entertainment ventures for the company,
00:34:11.100 he will apparently still be a part of Daily Wire Backstage,
00:34:14.480 which is a show that they do together with Ben and Matt and Michael Knowles and Andrew Klavan.
00:34:22.020 Ben Shapiro and Caleb Robinson gave their own statements to The Daily Wire,
00:34:27.940 but have not posted about the change on Axe.
00:34:31.560 Ben Shapiro says,
00:34:32.940 Jeremy's hard work and brilliant leadership have been indispensable to the growth of this company,
00:34:39.340 from an idea to the largest conservative digital media company in the country.
00:34:44.620 And then the last line, he says,
00:34:46.040 we can't wait to see what he does next.
00:34:49.940 It's interesting.
00:34:51.700 And then Caleb Robinson, he said,
00:34:54.000 we couldn't be more excited for this next phase of Daily Wire's growth.
00:34:57.520 And for Jeremy, as he pursues the completion of Pendragon,
00:35:00.720 and then moves on to work with us on further important creative endeavors.
00:35:06.960 Okay, so this is kind of a big shakeup for all the reasons that were just listed.
00:35:13.360 Daily Wire is huge.
00:35:14.860 I am a huge Daily Wire fan, have been a big Daily Wire fan for a long time.
00:35:19.600 I was listening to and reading Ben Shapiro far before I even started writing about conservative politics,
00:35:27.000 talking about it, posting on social media.
00:35:29.600 I am still a fan of Ben Shapiro,
00:35:32.140 and I'm very just so thankful for the work that Daily Wire has contributed to the conservative space
00:35:38.980 and how they have led in so many ways in the conservative space.
00:35:43.740 I have known a lot of the people there for a long time.
00:35:49.380 And what I think is,
00:35:51.360 I think that there are a lot of things probably going on here that I could speculate,
00:35:55.300 but as I like to do,
00:35:57.640 I just like to look at what is actually being said.
00:36:02.440 And you guys know I'm interested in PR and PR statements and why words are chosen as they are chosen.
00:36:09.900 And when you read a lot of press releases and you read a lot of reports about big transitions like this,
00:36:18.080 you start to pick up on certain patterns and you're able to better interpret them.
00:36:21.660 I think as he stepped down as CEO and he is taking on what they are calling an advisory role,
00:36:30.360 I personally think that he will fully transition out of the company altogether.
00:36:35.420 I think that that is language chosen to try to demonstrate that this is a friendly transition
00:36:42.440 and that this is not some kind of hostile takeover.
00:36:46.980 I think that's what they are trying to communicate to the public.
00:36:50.980 What an advisory role is, is up for debate.
00:36:55.220 It's vague terminology that is kind of, again, I think intentionally used to communicate a PR message.
00:37:04.060 And the reality is we don't know what really went on and why.
00:37:08.400 We know that they are bringing in a lot of revenue from different revenue sources
00:37:12.740 and a lot of very successful and wonderful creative endeavors.
00:37:16.180 We don't really know what the profits were.
00:37:19.020 Revenue and profit, two very different things.
00:37:21.940 What we know is that there were two very profitable shows that ended over the past year.
00:37:27.060 We've got Candace Owens, very profitable show.
00:37:30.260 And we've got Brett Cooper, very profitable show.
00:37:33.280 People who built their brands and their audiences almost from scratch that I assume were probably
00:37:42.000 bringing in a lot of people to The Daily Wire, a lot of money to The Daily Wire.
00:37:45.720 And both of those shows ended in different ways for different reasons.
00:37:50.260 But I imagine that was a hit on Daily Wire and that they were kind of looking at the lay of the land,
00:37:58.120 looking at their profits and thinking, okay, we got to change something.
00:38:02.320 We got to do something differently here.
00:38:06.520 And yeah, I don't know.
00:38:08.880 Obviously, I don't know all of the details.
00:38:11.000 And I will read you some of the responses of the people that used to work there.
00:38:16.040 But just as an outsider looking in who only has a little bit of insight into how all of this works,
00:38:23.560 that is my assessment.
00:38:26.460 Reading in between the lines on what's being reported, the statements that are being made,
00:38:30.300 when I see that Ben Shapiro and his statement says, I look forward to seeing what he does
00:38:35.120 next, that indicates something for me.
00:38:38.000 Because in the Axios report and even in what Caleb Robinson said, Jeremy Boreen, it seems,
00:38:46.080 was going to stay there.
00:38:47.200 He's going to stay there and he's going to do these creative projects with The Daily Wire.
00:38:50.560 And when Ben Shapiro says, well, I look forward to seeing what he does next, I'm thinking,
00:38:54.980 well, what do you mean?
00:38:56.320 You just said that he's good.
00:38:57.260 They just said that he's going to stay with The Daily Wire.
00:38:59.520 And so I don't know.
00:39:00.920 Maybe I'm reading too far into that.
00:39:02.600 Maybe Ben simply means that they look forward to seeing what Jeremy does at Daily Wire.
00:39:10.320 To me, it seems like there is going to be probably a full departure sometime in the near future.
00:39:17.100 And I have no doubt that whatever those pursuits are outside of The Daily Wire for Jeremy,
00:39:21.500 that he will be very successful.
00:39:23.240 He's a creative guy.
00:39:25.060 He started from nothing, helped build this huge company.
00:39:28.740 He is really smart and really good at what he does.
00:39:32.880 And I think whatever he creates next will be really good.
00:39:35.860 And I also think that Daily Wire is going to continue to be successful.
00:39:39.500 You've got a lot of commentators out there saying this is The Daily Wire imploding.
00:39:43.460 No, I think that this is The Daily Wire adjusting and maybe rerouting a little bit so that they remain successful.
00:39:50.040 And I think they will.
00:39:51.360 I do.
00:39:52.060 I mean, they've still got really good talent there.
00:39:54.340 They lost two really big talents, but they've still got really good talent in people like Michael Knowles and Matt Walsh and many others there, too.
00:40:03.440 So I think they'll be fine.
00:40:05.060 I think Jeremy Boring will be fine.
00:40:06.800 My guess is that it wasn't quite as friendly and as easy as it's being reported.
00:40:13.060 But any company would want to give that impression to the public.
00:40:16.020 So I don't blame anyone here.
00:40:17.520 But that's my assessment.
00:40:18.500 I'll get into what other people think in just a second.
00:40:20.740 Let me pause and tell you about our next sponsor for the day.
00:40:23.680 And that is Every Life.
00:40:25.240 I love Every Life diapers.
00:40:27.420 We use them in our family and they work really well.
00:40:29.660 I just appreciate that all of the materials that are used in Every Life diapers are really clean.
00:40:36.340 They're really good for the skin.
00:40:37.720 I don't have to worry about them causing rashes and things like that.
00:40:41.900 It's totally clean and all of that good stuff that moms really care about.
00:40:46.460 But also you want your diapers to work.
00:40:48.680 You don't want them to always be leaking and things like that.
00:40:51.960 And you don't have to worry about that either.
00:40:53.740 They're really effective.
00:40:54.920 And plus, I love the most that this is a pro-life diaper company.
00:40:59.180 Most diaper companies are actually taking your dollars, donating them to abortion causes and pro-abortion politicians, even Planned Parenthood.
00:41:08.840 You don't want to be a part of that.
00:41:10.620 You want to support a company that is only supporting pro-life causes, are excited for the adoptions, the pregnancies of their own employees, making sure that their employees who are moms and dads are supported.
00:41:22.060 And that is Every Life.
00:41:23.320 Right now, they've got this amazing campaign going on where they are asking people to be prayer partners with them and praying for more babies in 2025.
00:41:35.460 Timothy and I are a part of this.
00:41:37.500 Lots of other Christian couples are too.
00:41:40.360 Sadie Robertson-Huff and her husband Christian, Charlie and Erica Kirk, and many more.
00:41:46.160 We are all praying for those of you who are trying to adopt, trying to have children of your own.
00:41:51.280 Like, we want more Christian moms and dads having babies, and that's what we're praying for.
00:41:56.400 So join us.
00:41:57.840 Sign up at everylife.com slash pray.
00:42:00.500 That is everylife.com slash pray.
00:42:03.180 We do know, as reported by Axios in December, that Daily Wire has said that they are open to buyers.
00:42:16.020 Axios asked the Daily Wire about a deal with Fox.
00:42:18.720 Boring said that the company isn't actively looking for a buyer, but we're not closed off to an offer.
00:42:24.860 It's easy to imagine a strategic partnership with Fox or someone like Fox.
00:42:28.460 He said that could be mutually beneficial.
00:42:32.280 So we don't know if something like that's going to happen.
00:42:34.360 That's kind of been in the talks for a really long time.
00:42:37.140 And I think that that's a smart statement by Jeremy Boring because you're always open to lucrative opportunities.
00:42:43.940 Of course, everyone's always open to lucrative opportunities, whether it's just an individual employee looking for better employment somewhere else,
00:42:50.900 or whether it's the owner of a company who, you know, wants to make money and do things that make sense.
00:42:56.560 And so I don't know.
00:42:58.040 We don't know if that's going to happen or not, especially now that Jeremy is gone.
00:43:02.580 We just don't know everything about the plans.
00:43:05.600 Okay, Brett Cooper.
00:43:07.260 You know, she left there just a few months ago.
00:43:09.900 She built this huge channel, the comment section, that, I mean, had just incredible engagement.
00:43:15.620 She's got over a million followers on Instagram.
00:43:17.960 She is, I think, like the conservative voice for Gen Z.
00:43:22.900 She does such a good job.
00:43:24.940 And she was seen as just kind of like this breath of fresh air at Daily Wire because she was different than a lot of the guys there.
00:43:33.120 I mean, I love the commentary of the guys at Daily Wire, just like I'd been following Ben Shapiro.
00:43:38.420 I've been following Matt Walsh since before I was doing anything in conservative media.
00:43:41.960 I love all of them.
00:43:42.900 But she's different.
00:43:43.800 Like, she's a girl.
00:43:44.980 She's spunky.
00:43:45.680 She's probably not going to sit in, like, some dark den and smoke a cigar and talk about, I don't know, Kierkegaard.
00:43:52.420 And, I mean, maybe she will.
00:43:53.960 Sorry, Brett, if that's something that you like to do.
00:43:56.060 But she is just, like, she's energetic.
00:43:59.000 She's got a fresh voice.
00:44:00.020 She talks about pop culture.
00:44:01.580 But she also talks about, like, deeper and more serious stuff.
00:44:05.100 And she's very likable.
00:44:06.480 She's very likable.
00:44:07.820 And that's how she's built, like, such a faithful audience.
00:44:10.920 And it just seemed like such a huge asset to the Daily Wire and a unique audience for the Daily Wire.
00:44:17.140 Candace Owens, too.
00:44:18.020 And I know they had, like, a whole different conflict, which we talked about at the time.
00:44:22.760 You should go back and listen to my, like, Crisis King Candace Owens episode that we did a year ago when she left.
00:44:30.620 You could hear my assessment of everything that went down then.
00:44:33.980 But both of them, unique audiences, more female audiences.
00:44:38.780 And Brett didn't really leave on good terms.
00:44:41.880 Again, like, you could go back.
00:44:43.520 If you want to try to understand what's really happening right now, I think a good idea would be to go back and to watch her and Jeremy's response after she left the Daily Wire just a couple months ago.
00:44:56.900 And now to see this response, and we can put it up, she put this gif of Jimmy Fallon.
00:45:04.240 She quote tweeted the Axios report that says that Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boring to step down.
00:45:11.340 She posts this, like, I don't know what you would call it, smirk, soft smile, kind of like, I'm happy about this gif from Jimmy Fallon.
00:45:24.540 That was her response.
00:45:25.860 So that tells us right there that her leaving Daily Wire was not as friendly and as smooth as we were told it was at the time, which means that there's a lot more going on behind the scenes.
00:45:42.460 Brett also said right under that, genuinely excited to see where Ben and Caleb take the company next.
00:45:48.140 And I don't, I have not talked to Brett about this.
00:45:51.660 I have not talked to Jeremy about it.
00:45:53.720 I haven't talked to anyone about this, but I am just looking at this response and saying, okay, obviously she's got beef specifically with Jeremy.
00:46:02.980 That's, that's, that's what's going on.
00:46:05.360 And it seems to me like she is saying that the shakeup that occurred when she left the contention or the, just the, whatever happened, the discord between her and Jeremy possibly played a role in this.
00:46:22.200 And so it seems to me like that is the message that she is communicating and Candace Owens retweeted this.
00:46:32.960 Candace Owens has been talking even recently more about the Daily Wire.
00:46:37.520 You'll remember that Candace and Ben have very, very, very diverging views on Israel and her friendship with Kanye West, who made some really disturbing comments about Jewish people also caused a divide at the Daily Wire.
00:46:54.940 A video was leaked of Ben Shapiro talking badly about Candace Owens.
00:46:59.740 And it was just this whole, it was just this whole fight at the time.
00:47:05.000 And so now she's gone off on her own.
00:47:07.120 She's been insanely successful in doing that already.
00:47:11.240 Brett Cooper has been insanely successful.
00:47:14.040 And so I think this gives the impression to people that, okay, these independent creators that are mad at Jeremy Boring, that are mad at some ways at Daily Wire.
00:47:23.220 I don't know about Brett, if she's mad at Daily Wire in general, they're doing really well.
00:47:28.800 Things are changing at Daily Wire.
00:47:30.320 They must be in the loser position here.
00:47:32.860 That's not necessarily my assessment.
00:47:34.480 I think Owens and Cooper are doing amazingly well, and they will continue to do amazingly well.
00:47:40.080 I also think the Daily Wire will be fine.
00:47:42.540 But Candace said she's celebrating the fact that Boring stepped down, saying that Boring stepping down was tremendous news.
00:47:49.960 She also pointed to the statements Ben Shapiro and Kaylin Robinson gave to the Daily Wire, adding that if they were excited about this decision, then she could be as well.
00:47:56.880 So, again, this is implying that Candace Owens' beef was specifically with Jeremy Boring.
00:48:02.840 Now, she also did have public beef with Ben Shapiro.
00:48:05.740 So it's not just Jeremy, but it seems like she's got a specific issue with Jeremy, too.
00:48:11.920 She points out that there was no new title announced for Jeremy Boring.
00:48:15.400 So that indicates to her, she says, that he also might be leaving.
00:48:19.940 So that was about all of the kind of like insight and commentary that she gave.
00:48:25.080 She did a whole video on this, and she did a video, I think, on the Daily Wire last week, too.
00:48:30.340 You can go watch those and see her assessment if you're interested in that.
00:48:37.000 This also comes on the heels of yet another Crisis King controversy.
00:48:40.800 You'll remember when she left Daily Wire, that was a whole big debate because after she left, after she was fired, she posted Crisis King.
00:48:50.900 People thought that this was like a—they interpreted this, some, as a direct attack on Ben Shapiro, who is Jewish, who obviously doesn't believe Crisis King.
00:49:02.280 And there was this whole debate about whether it's anti-Semitic to say Crisis King and whether people are using anti-Semitism as a way to silence Christians from using this refrain.
00:49:14.040 I have talked about this.
00:49:15.600 I talked about this on Glenn's show last week.
00:49:18.480 Then Jordan Peterson, he led this report that was recently published that said Christ is King is being—has been co-opted by these anti-Jewish voices in order to attack Jews, and they're using his name in vain.
00:49:38.700 Now, this is kind of like an aside from everything I've been talking about, but this is all happening at once.
00:49:43.300 And, like, I do think all the context of this matters.
00:49:48.240 I mean, my quick take on this is that, yes, there are people who use Crisis King in vain.
00:49:52.700 Like, you can see the posts on Acts where people are like, Crisis King, you dirty Jew.
00:49:58.020 Like, I think it's pretty safe to say that that person is not a Christian and that they are using it in a way to attack someone who is not Christian,
00:50:08.480 to attack a Jewish person that is using the Lord's name in vain.
00:50:11.560 That is a sin.
00:50:13.260 Do I think that everyone who uses Crisis King, or even most people who use that refrain, Crisis King, that they are directly attacking Jewish people, that they are being anti-Semitic?
00:50:24.880 No, I don't think that.
00:50:26.660 I think that is a true phrase.
00:50:28.880 And it is a refrain that Christians have used, that Christians can use.
00:50:32.740 I don't think people should stop themselves, hinder themselves from saying Christ is King just because they're afraid of someone calling them anti-Semitic.
00:50:43.440 I think that you should continue to say it, but of course you should never say it in a way that is not simply a humble, sincere declaration of Jesus's lordship and Jesus's royalty.
00:50:56.280 It is not a mantra simply to virtue signal or to try to attack someone else.
00:51:03.600 Of course, that's true of any Bible verse or any Christian refrain.
00:51:07.500 And so that was a debate then.
00:51:08.860 This was another debate now.
00:51:10.300 Candace recently talked about this before she even knew that Jeremy Boring was going to step down.
00:51:15.280 Of course, people are trying to put the puzzle pieces together and say that this is all kind of like affecting one another.
00:51:23.780 People are also pointing out that Jeremy Boring has been kind of like in confrontations with different commentators, including people like Jason Whitlock on X, and maybe that wasn't making the company look good.
00:51:35.160 I don't know about that.
00:51:36.180 I feel like Jeremy has always kind of just been like very forthright with the things that he says and believes and hasn't been afraid to disagree with people who are even on his political side.
00:51:46.960 So I don't really think that that's a part of this decision.
00:51:50.400 Again, just my subjective assessment there.
00:51:55.360 All in all, I think that everyone's going to be fine.
00:51:58.580 I think we'll find out more information about everything that went down over the next few months, but I think everyone's going to be fine.
00:52:05.520 I have no doubt that Ben Shapiro at all will be successful.
00:52:09.460 Daily Wire will be fine.
00:52:11.080 I think Jeremy Boring will be fine.
00:52:13.260 I think that Candace and Brett will continue to do well.
00:52:16.700 And I want all of these people to be successful.
00:52:20.360 I want that.
00:52:21.640 I think that it's good for the conservative movement, for Daily Wire to continue to be successful, and for people to have a variety of voices to listen to.
00:52:31.240 But yeah, media shakeups, it's interesting.
00:52:34.360 I mean, conservative media now, we dominate.
00:52:36.860 We dominate informal, non-cable news, and we should want good sound voices to continue to thrive.
00:52:48.560 So we'll see what goes down with all this.
00:52:50.620 Okay, let me pause and tell you about our next sponsor for the day.
00:52:53.100 That's Masa Chips.
00:52:54.040 You guys know how much I love Masa Chips.
00:52:56.740 They are free of seed oils.
00:52:58.120 They only have organic corn, grass-fed and finished beef tallow, and Redmond sea salt.
00:53:02.020 My favorite thing about them, in addition to the taste, and they have lots of different kinds of flavors to choose from, is that they're really sturdy.
00:53:09.040 You can put some heavy, chunky guacamole on that, and it's not going to break.
00:53:13.460 That's not true of other seed oil-free chips.
00:53:16.200 You know what I'm saying?
00:53:17.000 The kinds that you see in the grocery store.
00:53:19.980 I mean, those things break so easily.
00:53:21.780 You get a little, like, watery salsa on that.
00:53:24.440 It's going to break.
00:53:25.340 That's just not sustainable.
00:53:27.100 So you need to get your chips from Masa Chips.
00:53:29.940 This is another America-loving small business with really good ingredients that are actually good for you, good for your gut, good for your skin, all that good stuff.
00:53:39.020 If you go to masachips.com and use code AllieB, you'll get a discount on your order.
00:53:44.700 That's masachips.com, code AllieB.
00:53:52.020 Okay, Brie.
00:53:53.940 I think that we, I think we did something bad.
00:53:58.880 I think we contributed to Dylan Mulvaney's book, Getting on the New York Times Bestseller List.
00:54:05.880 I regret all of it.
00:54:07.060 I regret all of it.
00:54:08.380 Would he have been able to do it without Relatable?
00:54:11.220 We talked last week about it, so you should go watch that episode.
00:54:16.320 But, guys, with, like, 2.5 stars on Amazon and, like, 19 reviews, or, like, 30 reviews, maybe, and never breaking the top 100 on Amazon, he somehow made the New York Times Bestseller List.
00:54:33.800 He somehow did it.
00:54:35.480 Hmm.
00:54:36.280 Strange.
00:54:36.920 Yeah, people might not know.
00:54:38.780 The New York Times Bestseller List is not an objective list based on sales.
00:54:43.580 It is a curated list that is, it's editorialized by the people who work in the New York Times, which is why it always is amazing when a conservative book is on there.
00:54:53.220 That's why we were shocked that my book went on there.
00:54:55.720 But there are some books that even if the editors at the New York Times do not like it and they completely agree with the message, they might put it on there for a variety of reasons.
00:55:04.500 Either, like, the sales are just so high that you just can't deny it, or it is starting important conversations, cultural conversations that maybe the New York Times doesn't agree with, but they could see how it's causing buzz.
00:55:20.440 And I'm very thankful that my book did sell well and it still is causing a lot of conversation.
00:55:27.280 Some people who have actually read it and are giving proper assessments and some people who have not read it and are virtue signaling by giving their knee-jerk reactions.
00:55:36.200 But, yeah, it does show you when a book that doesn't seem, by the objective metrics that we can see, to be selling well and still makes the list, you see the bias of a place like the New York Times and, like, the things that they include there.
00:55:51.220 Just very, very disturbing stuff.
00:55:54.240 And I just encourage you to go back and to listen to or watch that episode.
00:55:57.940 Also, if you – oh, were you going to say something?
00:55:59.900 Oh, I was just going to add that now he is going to have a podcast also.
00:56:04.620 Oh, I wasn't going to tell them that, Brie.
00:56:07.420 Oh, sorry.
00:56:09.160 I was going to keep that part a secret.
00:56:11.820 Yeah, I guess that's more free promo.
00:56:13.940 Yeah.
00:56:14.740 Do you think he wants to come on?
00:56:16.880 You know what?
00:56:17.640 I don't think he does.
00:56:18.880 You don't?
00:56:19.960 Based on him blocking all of us on Instagram, I don't think he does.
00:56:23.320 But maybe one day.
00:56:25.200 Yes, after Jesus Christ saves and redeems him.
00:56:28.680 Yep.
00:56:29.280 Yep.
00:56:29.980 He still does have a good singing voice.
00:56:31.920 Yeah, beautiful voice.
00:56:32.940 Yeah.
00:56:34.620 Okay.
00:56:35.820 Can we end on something happier than that?
00:56:38.240 Is there anything, Brie, that we can end on?
00:56:41.300 You had fun in – we both had fun in California, and you had a really good breakfast burrito
00:56:46.860 on the beach.
00:56:47.900 Breakfast burrito on the beach is the ultimate experience.
00:56:52.160 It really is.
00:56:52.900 I didn't have a breakfast burrito the whole time I was there, and I'm kind of regretting
00:56:55.560 it.
00:56:55.740 And I didn't go to the beach.
00:56:57.180 Oh, my gosh.
00:56:58.180 I know.
00:56:59.100 Yeah, that's rough.
00:57:00.400 Yeah.
00:57:00.800 No, but it was beautiful.
00:57:01.860 I had never been there before.
00:57:03.300 It was beautiful.
00:57:03.720 Yeah, it was.
00:57:05.060 And I had some protesters to talk about that.
00:57:08.380 Love that.
00:57:09.720 I thought, well, maybe we'll put up a picture of the protesters.
00:57:12.120 I had these two grandmas that had little signs that said, empathy is good.
00:57:18.060 Ladies, I want you to read my book.
00:57:20.740 And then they were called the Pink Pony Protesters.
00:57:24.080 Oh.
00:57:24.200 Yeah, they had a name.
00:57:25.620 They had a name.
00:57:27.080 Yeah.
00:57:27.180 Big Chapel Rhone fans.
00:57:28.720 I guess.
00:57:29.580 And one of the guys was like, I'm a Satanist, and I have more empathy than you.
00:57:35.940 Oh, probably not.
00:57:36.520 No, you don't.
00:57:37.540 No, you actually just literally don't.
00:57:40.460 You don't.
00:57:41.040 But you also confuse you feeling bad for your pet victims with actual love when really you're
00:57:48.040 a hateful person and you need Jesus.
00:57:51.880 Yeah, I've had protesters since 2018 at a lot of my events.
00:57:55.880 It doesn't always happen.
00:57:57.120 But almost every time I'm in California, it happens.
00:57:59.680 But I love California.
00:58:00.600 Shout out to Christians and conservatives in California.
00:58:03.040 Y'all are especially awesome and strong.
00:58:05.320 Do you go out and talk to them?
00:58:07.140 No.
00:58:07.880 Okay.
00:58:08.380 I was just wondering how you knew all of that.
00:58:10.700 What do you mean?
00:58:11.380 Of the people that were out there.
00:58:13.400 Oh, I didn't go out and talk to them, but there was security out there.
00:58:16.640 Oh, yeah.
00:58:17.300 And so I got pictures and they, yeah, they told me that they have a name.
00:58:22.760 They were very organized protesters.
00:58:24.320 They even filled out a form beforehand telling the Granada Theater, we will be there protesting.
00:58:32.060 We thought that they were protesting Israel.
00:58:33.960 This is how sad these people are.
00:58:35.700 There was, like, a kid's, like, Jewish dance recital, okay?
00:58:40.140 There's, like, a Jewish dance company that had, like, a sweet little recital there a couple weeks ago.
00:58:44.820 These freaking protesters protested that with, like, Palestinian flags.
00:58:49.780 This is the same people.
00:58:50.900 Yes.
00:58:51.360 Like, oh, okay, so you just blatantly are anti-Jewish.
00:58:55.440 Like, these Jewish little kids doing ballet.
00:58:58.740 You're just blatantly anti-kids.
00:59:01.260 And you think that you are anti-Nazi.
00:59:04.060 Yeah.
00:59:04.320 Yeah.
00:59:05.700 Hitler would love you.
00:59:07.160 Like, be in love with you.
