Summary
A clip from a speech I gave went viral and ignited controversy and argument about what women's role is not only in the body of Christ but in society as a whole. So we'll talk about all of that today. Also, it's time to share the arrows. We have a professional soccer player who is speaking out in defense of women and girls. She's getting trashed for it, but not here. We are standing up for her and all women who are speaking up for what is good, right, and true.

Every year, corporate insurers get richer while Americans pay more and get less.
00:00:04.700
Now their greed's broken the system, even shutting down our government to protect their
00:00:08.300
taxpayer-funded profits. And in this chaos, their schemes are finally being exposed.
00:00:13.080
Big insurance and their Democrat allies have rigged health care insurance against hard-working
00:00:17.860
families. Government bailouts, record profits, premiums climbing higher and higher? It's a
00:00:23.120
pattern America can't afford to ignore any longer. Conservatives must do more than hold the line.
00:00:27.860
We must fix it. Paid for by American Resolve Action.
00:00:31.760
A clip from one of my speeches went viral on X and ignited quite the controversy and argument about
00:00:39.600
what women's role is, not only in the body of Christ, but also in society as a whole. So we'll
00:00:47.180
talk about all of that today. Also, it is time to share the arrows. We've got a professional
00:00:52.140
soccer player who is speaking out in defense of women and girls. She's getting trashed for it,
00:00:57.480
but not here. We are standing up for her and all women who are speaking up for what is good,
00:01:02.740
right, and true. Today's episode of Relatable is brought to you by our friends at Good Ranchers.

Hey, guys. Welcome to Relatable. Happy Wednesday. Hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far.
00:01:27.600
I'm recording this on Tuesday before the results of Election Day, and so I can't give my commentary
00:01:34.160
on the results of the New York City election or the Virginia election. I have a feeling
00:01:38.400
that the New York City election did not go a happy way, and we'll see about Virginia and
00:01:44.920
if the people there had any sense not to elect someone who endorsed a guy who supports murdering
00:01:52.400
his political enemies and their children. So I can't cast a vision on that one yet. I'll have
00:01:59.300
more commentary, I'm sure, on social media today. We are going to be talking about a theological topic,
00:02:05.160
and that is women in the church, and really women in the world. So let me set up why we
00:02:11.120
are talking about this today, and it has to do with a controversy that I would call a pretty
00:02:17.020
manufactured controversy. And we're going to talk about this to understand the context of why we're
00:02:24.080
discussing this topic, but it's really not about this. I hope that this really offers you, yes,
00:02:29.440
clarity, but more than anything, courage. And not only as a Christian woman, but also just
00:02:35.940
in general. This is about not being swayed by people's opinions, whether they are positive or
00:02:42.620
negative. This is about running the race that has been marked out for you by the God who created you
00:02:49.080
and who has filled you with his Holy Spirit and staying steadfast on that path, no matter what the
00:02:55.720
chatter is of the people around you. So let me set up what is going on. And if you listen to Monday's
00:03:02.080
episode, you heard me talk about this a little bit, and you might have heard me reference being
00:03:07.440
a bit discouraged on Instagram, and I've got the best audience in the world. You guys rushed to pray for
00:03:15.200
me and to edify me. And there were so many notes sent and messages sent that just reminded me not only of
00:03:24.140
how amazing you guys are in the audience that has been built here at Relatable, but also just the
00:03:31.220
truth of God's Word and truly just the best community ever. But let me tell you a little bit more about
00:03:39.260
this controversy that has lasted over days on X. So there is a segment of males on the right, presumably
00:03:48.800
the political right, who also profess to be Christians, who have been expressing their utter
00:03:55.220
indignation that I gave a speech at a Turning Point USA campus stop, and that in that speech, I talked
00:04:03.980
about the dangers of pornography. And maybe some of you guys have seen this clip. It was well-received
00:04:12.000
on Instagram. Instagram is like the last bastion of sanity. On social media, it got a million views,
00:04:19.500
and men and women who follow me on Instagram were in agreement with what I said. But on X, it wasn't
00:04:26.020
received that way. Instead, I was called a feminist. I was called a bad mom, a negligent wife who was trying
00:04:32.640
to act like a man. I was told that I should only talk to women or that I should not talk at all,
00:04:37.940
that women have no place in the public square. These are not just, well, they are kind of random
00:04:44.600
accounts, but they're not just accounts with 30 followers. I'm talking about accounts with
00:04:49.680
followings. They're largely anonymous, but they are part of what I would call a growing segment of
00:04:55.200
online commentary. And one day, for those of you, my sweet audience members, a lot of whom are not on
00:05:01.480
X and are just not super online, I am going to like draw out a map. I don't know. I'm going to
00:05:08.660
like put up a whiteboard or maybe I'll draw it out and we'll make a graphic of all of these different
00:05:13.460
segments of the internet, all of the different segments of the right, because I do think there's
00:05:18.480
a lot of confusion. There's like weird crossover with different Israel views. It's all strangely
00:05:26.060
interconnected. And if you're not super inundated in that, which you shouldn't be, then it might be a
00:05:32.920
little bit confusing to try to figure out who these people actually are. This kind of criticism
00:05:38.740
is not exactly new. It's newer in that it's kind of been prevalent over the past couple years or so.
00:05:47.940
It comes and goes every few months. But this is a big shift from how it used to be. A lot of these
00:05:54.300
people are in the Reformed theology camp. I'm in the Reformed theology camp. A lot of them are,
00:06:00.340
you know, who they would call trad Catholics. And so it's a lot of like Reformed Presbyterian and
00:06:06.840
Baptist people and a lot of Catholics and a lot of people who just, I mean, by the fruit of what they
00:06:12.400
say are not Christians by any definition, but what they kind of like, I don't know, the Christian
00:06:18.600
aesthetic or the Christian ethos or the authority that they think Christianity gives them. And so they
00:06:23.840
kind of use it as a cudgel against people. And this has certainly changed, I think, in the past few
00:06:29.120
years on the side of conservatism. So as I said last week, I spoke at Turning Point last Monday.
00:06:37.380
This, of course, was supposed to be Charlie's campus tour. He was supposed to be at LSU. He would
00:06:43.060
have done a fantastic job. And he had texted me in August asking if I could join him on November 3rd
00:06:50.500
in Alabama at a campus. And I was excited to do that. But of course, that didn't pan out. And so
00:06:57.260
when Turning Point asked if I would instead come to Louisiana State University, I was honored to do
00:07:02.440
that. And in order to honor Charlie, my speech reflected five of the most controversial truth
00:07:10.580
that Charlie taught. The first one and the longest one was that feminism has failed women. Feminism has
00:07:19.240
failed women. It has encouraged things like promiscuity, abortion, putting all of your energy
00:07:25.200
into professions, into plants, into pets, into politics instead of people. And I emphasize that
00:07:31.920
all women in one way or another are called to mother. Here is the clip of me making that argument.
00:07:40.180
Women, you were given this unique capacity to create and then sustain life. And for so long,
00:07:47.120
feminism has told us that this is an obstacle, that this actually inhibits our fulfillment,
00:07:52.440
but actually it is a vehicle of fulfillment. And we have to start seeing motherhood and being
00:07:59.160
a wife as the high callings that they are. We have to honor these roles as the high callings that they
00:08:06.440
are. But here's what I want to say, because God doesn't always promise to give any of us exactly what
00:08:11.520
we want. What I want to say to you women, that even if you are not a wife or a mom, maybe you will
00:08:18.400
never be a wife or a mom. Maybe that's not the road that God has for you, that you are still called
00:08:24.640
to mother. You are still called to mother. And here's what I mean by that, that every single woman
00:08:30.860
has this amazing, incredible ability to cultivate and to beautify and to nurture and to grow. And that
00:08:38.960
energy is not supposed to be channeled into your profession, into politics, into plants, or to pets.
00:08:45.540
All of those things are meant to be channeled into people. So even if you are not yet a mother,
00:08:53.100
even if motherhood is not in your future channel, all of those unique and womanly capabilities and
00:09:01.280
skills that you have into people, into children, into young women, lead Bible studies, volunteer at church,
00:09:08.580
see how you can serve them, see how you can teach them, see how you can love them, see how you can
00:09:13.980
become even a spiritual mother to the next generation. And then the third truth is that
00:09:21.360
merit trumps DEI. The fourth is that America is a Christian nation. And the fifth and most important
00:09:26.480
is that Jesus is the only way to heaven. But the second was that porn has weakened men. This is something
00:09:32.740
that Charlie said a lot. And I wanted to make this appeal, yes, to honor Charlie's message and mission,
00:09:38.760
but also from a feminine perspective. Here's top 12.
00:09:47.480
And you know, Charlie, Charlie was so good at talking about this and so good at talking so
00:10:01.860
courageously and sternly and clearly to the young men. Here's what we know about porn and why it is
00:10:07.980
so detrimental, not only to men, although it disproportionately affects men. Porn objectifies
00:10:13.320
women and children. It commercializes sex, which is a gift from God for a married couple between
00:10:20.440
one man and one woman, and it glorifies violence.
00:10:29.420
It creates addiction and shame. It destroys marriages. It ruins your perception of other people.
00:10:34.960
It is the legal loophole for sex trafficking. It is evil in every way, and it will destroy your life.
00:10:41.820
And this is what I would want to say to men, and I hope that you hear it from strong men in your life,
00:10:50.780
And we need your masculinity, and we need your strength,
00:10:54.540
and we need your boldness, and we need your courage,
00:10:57.400
and we need those things to be harnessed for good.
00:11:06.600
We need you to bravely stand up for the most vulnerable,
00:11:10.160
to stand up for women and children and for the unborn,
00:11:13.640
to raise a respectful ruckus for the things that matter.
00:11:17.000
We need really strong men, and porn makes you weak.
00:11:27.240
All right, we'll get into the online reaction and my response to it in just a second.
00:11:31.800
Let me pause, tell you about our first sponsor for the day,
00:11:35.920
Y'all, when you donate to Preborn, you are not just spending your money.
00:11:40.400
You are making an investment in a life, in saving a life.
00:11:45.800
You're actually making an eternal investment, which is just incredible.
00:11:49.640
Every time you donate to Preborn, whether it's $2, whether it's $28,
00:11:53.720
which covers the cost of a life-saving ultrasound, maybe it's way more than that.
00:11:57.900
Maybe you can donate $2,800, whatever you can donate.
00:12:01.900
Whatever you invest, that plants a seed that will blossom in this life and the next,
00:12:09.160
because you are providing resources to Preborn,
00:12:12.100
that then resources these pregnancy centers to serve these women,
00:12:18.460
to tell them the truth about what's happening inside their womb,
00:12:21.460
to support them, to give them the resources they need to make the life-affirming choice.
00:12:29.180
They are being the hands and feet of Jesus for these babies,
00:12:51.460
Okay, so there were a variety of criticisms from those who profess to be Christian conservatives.
00:13:01.860
And I will just say, first of all, before I even list these criticisms,
00:13:11.180
It's not representative of the audience in that room.
00:13:13.960
As you could hear, that segment, and you didn't get to listen to the whole segment there,
00:13:18.460
although the whole speech is on my YouTube page and you can watch it for yourself,
00:13:29.800
oh, you know, Allie shouldn't be surprised by this negative reaction.
00:13:33.640
Well, there wasn't a negative reaction in person.
00:13:39.340
And again, I think this is instructive for all of us to be able to respond to these.
00:13:54.520
And number four, a violation of biblical commands.
00:13:58.440
And we'll spend the most time responding to that one.
00:14:07.320
And I just want to make sure that I'm understanding here what is being argued,
00:14:14.680
And whenever I'm talking to someone that I think is arguing from a place of emotion,
00:14:20.900
And I'm going to bring logic and reasonableness into the conversation,
00:14:24.020
because Christians are called to be reasonable and say,
00:14:31.920
Where are you getting, where are you getting that term?
00:14:35.340
Like, okay, if a woman is saying something true in public,
00:14:45.740
It's really important that we get on the same page.
00:14:49.360
Because from my understanding, as I talked about,
00:14:58.480
but what it has convinced women is not just that they can be equal to a man,
00:15:06.360
And so when a woman is denying her own unique femininity
00:15:16.720
that could be argued that that is a conclusion or a fruit of feminism,
00:15:20.180
which, of course, I argued is a failure for women.
00:15:34.640
Women can do everything just as well as a man can.
00:15:43.000
And in fact, you heard in that clip that I said that we need masculinity.
00:15:46.440
One of the most viewed PragerU videos is my PragerU video from 2019.
00:15:53.880
I think it was 2019 or no, this would have been 2018
00:16:01.360
In 2018, where I debunked this myth of toxic masculinity.
00:16:05.740
And for five minutes, I explain why masculinity is so important
00:16:10.580
and so necessary to a functioning and thriving society.
00:16:13.720
My audience there was a bunch of 19 and 20-year-olds.
00:16:17.320
There were some grownups there, some out-of-college people,
00:16:20.560
but a lot of 19 and 20-year-old college students, mostly Christians.
00:16:25.460
And as I said, I got a very enthusiastic response.
00:16:31.440
who were happy to hear an older sister in Christ plead with them
00:16:35.200
in a very respectful and loving and affirming way that you are needed,
00:16:41.240
that your strength is needed, that your leadership is needed.
00:16:44.340
It was not reacted to the way the internet reacted to it at all.
00:16:54.040
lined up behind the mic to ask my perspective on things.
00:17:12.240
And I got a really sweet post from someone who said,
00:17:19.460
and he had never really seen this or heard this
00:17:23.760
And it really changed kind of like how he thought about this.
00:17:28.980
And he said that his son shared it with a bunch of his friends.
00:17:32.920
And I think it's super important for men to hear this
00:17:50.020
This is sapping you of your strength, actually.
00:17:53.300
So this negative reaction was from a very niche segment
00:18:08.320
Those of you who know me, who have been listening to me,
00:18:10.700
who have been reading me for any amount of time,
00:18:13.640
you know how hard I go against the tenets of feminism,
00:18:22.000
that I think was born of feminism in many ways.
00:18:35.420
How hard I go against every tenet of progressivism.
00:18:38.900
And look, by the grace of God and the grace of God alone,
00:19:05.960
when it comes to the reproductive technology industry,
