00:23:56.340And so I imagine you knew that the response from the DOJ to a claim like this
00:24:01.180might not be super friendly or excited.
00:24:05.260What was their reaction to your claim?
00:24:07.940Yeah. Well, I can tell you a story to kind of answer that question. A couple of months later, after we filed the False Claims Act in August of 2024, just a couple of weeks after I first spoke with you, actually, I was brought in in what they call the relator interview.
00:24:26.000and that is when the government sits down and ascertains if you are a credible witness to what
00:24:33.460you've just blown the whistle on it is supposed to be a neutral fact-finding opportunity for the
00:24:40.500government to question you you know and basically determine if if it's worth their time to then go
00:24:47.280in and investigate what you have claimed under normal circumstances the government should be
00:24:54.300very grateful for what whistleblowers have just brought forward. You're essentially doing the
00:24:59.660government a service. You're exposing something that they were unaware of that's illegal and
00:25:04.300fraudulent. Under normal circumstances, this is something they should be very interested in
00:25:10.160pursuing. Not so under the Biden administration. I remember talking to my attorneys beforehand.
00:25:17.880They did an excellent job coaching me. And, you know, they told me before we walked in, they said, you know, this is going to be a couple hours long. Maybe five or six people will be there as far as we know. These are kind of the questions you need to prepare for, to be prepared to answer. But we'll be there with you the whole time. Like, you're going to do great, you know.
00:25:39.480And I remember we drove to a skyscraper in downtown Houston, went up to the very top floor, went through metal detectors, and I remember snapping a photo just before walking into the conference room.
00:25:53.840And the photo was of President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and two other senior members of the Biden administration in that office.
00:26:06.560and I remember wait in person no photos so they were on the wall okay photos on the wall yeah
00:26:14.020and I just snapped a picture because I just I just kind of had this realization that
00:26:20.480I was like in enemy territory now like this was not safe it's chilling and so walked into the
00:26:27.540conference room. And lo and behold, there are not five or six, but 20 to 25 senior administrative
00:26:37.180officials in the Biden Department of Justice, the Office of Inspector General, the Center for
00:26:43.840Medicaid and Medicare Services, federal, multiple state agencies, the FBI, the Department of Defense,
00:26:52.040the texas state attorney general um and multiple other agencies had sent representatives down from
00:27:00.700dc for this meeting and i was absolutely just shocked you're like for little me for me and the
00:27:08.400table was full the table of 10 people was full standing room only and for the next four hours
00:27:14.000I was grilled with the most combative questions, the most threatening questions.
00:55:26.880god writes the best stories and this is a story that only god could write
00:55:35.980And so he's the author. He holds the pen. And I'm just really humbled and really honored that he somehow decided to use me and to use us, my husband and I, to do something so great for his glory.
00:55:59.700and I can't I just I can take no credit for it I was just I was just a nurse trying to do my best
00:56:07.240for the glory of God yeah and um literally just you just did the next right thing yeah you just
00:56:13.060did the next right thing you really did yeah and uh the second thing I would say is that um
00:56:18.020you know God specializes in doing the impossible and in redeeming what the enemy means for evil
00:56:27.520and using it for good um joseph the story of joseph in genesis is probably one of my favorites
00:56:35.380where um joseph is betrayed by those closest to him he's trafficked to a foreign land
00:56:42.080he's wrongfully accused he's fired from his really ludic um lucrative job and thrown into prison
00:56:52.780and then there's this beautiful reunification at the end of it
00:56:56.740where his brothers come because they're starving
00:56:58.720and there's this beautiful picture at the end of it
