00:00:00.000 Hey guys, welcome to Relatable. Happy Monday. Hope everyone had a great weekend. If you
00:00:14.080 haven't listened to Friday's episode yet, when I talked to Rebecca Friedrichs about
00:00:18.580 the ins and outs of the public school system and public unions, I encourage you to do that.
00:00:22.940 Very fascinating and motivating conversation. Make sure that you go out and get her book
00:00:27.920 as well. Today, the theme of this episode is this is my father's world. So you guys might know if
00:00:35.580 you follow me on Instagram, this is my favorite hymn. I feel like I post the lyrics to this hymn
00:00:40.260 a lot, like every week, because it's constantly in my head. This is one of my favorite hymns to sing
00:00:48.660 and just to meditate on. And it's such a comfort when it seems like things are constantly thrown
00:00:55.600 into a state of chaos, especially in 2020, when we can't trust our leaders, when we're constantly
00:01:01.100 seeing the hypocrisy of our leaders, many of whom are saying, you can't go to church. And if you can't
00:01:07.240 go to church, it has to be outside, or you can't have an ensemble or a choir. You have to have a
00:01:11.980 soloist. You can't worship the way that you want to worship, who are telling us that you need to shut
00:01:18.420 down your small business, who are saying you can't hold a funeral. You can't have your wedding.
00:01:24.160 You can't walk across the stage at graduation. You can't get together for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
00:01:30.760 Your kid can't go to school. Your seven-year-old needs to sit in front of a screen for eight hours
00:01:35.300 a day. While, for example, public school teachers in a place like Seattle have decided, this particular
00:01:42.200 public school teacher, she wrote her seventh grade teacher or her seventh grade students that she was
00:01:47.160 going to be in a forest. And so she wasn't going to have internet connection to be able to teach their
00:01:52.020 class. There are stories like that that are happening all across our public school system in
00:01:56.760 the United States as kids are suffering, even while the leaders who are forcing this to happen
00:02:04.960 are doing as they please. Gavin Newsom was just caught having an expensive maskless dinner with a
00:02:11.480 bunch of his friends in California. Governor Cuomo has been seen without a mask, as well as his
00:02:16.540 brother Andrew Cuomo. We have seen Lori Lightfoot and Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, all pro-lockdown
00:02:24.400 Democratic politicians breaking the rules of not wearing a mask and being in crowded areas without any
00:02:33.420 kind of social distancing. While they are telling us that we have to stop our lives, we have to stop
00:02:41.540 doing the things that societies have always had to do to survive and thrive, which is social interaction,
00:02:47.940 which is the education of our children, which is familial bonding. These politicians do not trust us to make
00:02:54.980 the decisions that are best for us and best for our families, but they trust themselves, which shows me a real
00:03:01.900 malice and a real resentment against their constituents. I said recently that these politicians who are doing
00:03:09.420 these things, who are stopping you from living your life and to doing the things that are very essential
00:03:14.320 for you to survive and thrive, that they hate you. And I got some pushback on that from people who say,
00:03:20.500 oh no, it's not hate, they're just doing what's best. It's not doing what's best when they say,
00:03:25.700 do as I say, not as I do, rules for thee and not for me. That is not doing what's best. That is not in
00:03:32.140 our interest. It might not be an intentional malice. It might not be an active resentment,
00:03:39.260 but it does show an underlying, maybe even subconscious, hatred towards their constituents
00:03:45.760 and towards common people. You know, a lot of people have been talking about, and I told you that
00:03:51.300 we were going to talk about this today. And unfortunately, I haven't completed all of the
00:03:56.300 research that I need to give you a thorough explanation of the Great Reset, but I will comment
00:04:00.800 on it that we have seen a lot of politicians, including Justin Trudeau in Canada and Democratic
00:04:05.640 politicians here say that the chaos and the calamity that we have experienced as a public
00:04:11.540 health crisis and an economic crisis in 2020 is an opportunity. It's an opportunity for a new order.
00:04:19.040 And I'm not trying to use that in the conspiratorial sense. I'm talking about a reordering of our economic
00:04:25.560 system and our social system in a way that they would say, quote, takes care of people,
00:04:30.380 which we know is new speak for more leftist policies. They have talked about using this
00:04:37.840 crisis and basically using their constituents pain as a way to push their policies. I don't know what
00:04:44.680 you call that, except for resentment, except for malice, except for, at the very least, an ignorance and
00:04:53.320 apathy towards the pain of average working people. And I don't think that they factored in that we
00:05:03.040 would see their hypocrisy and that we wouldn't go along with it, that we would realize, hey, I'm
00:05:08.320 giving a lot of money and a lot of power to these people who don't seem to have my best interest at
00:05:12.820 heart, who promised me that if I voted for them, that they would take care of me and they would take
00:05:17.340 care especially of vulnerable populations, that if I gave them more of my money, more of my tax
00:05:23.200 dollars, then they would pass programs and policies that would help take care of the working people in
00:05:28.140 this country. And they haven't done that. They've lined their pockets and they have used their
00:05:32.420 privilege, their platform and their power to escape the rules that they are burdening the rest of the
00:05:39.240 country with. I don't think they realized that we would see what they were up to and that we
00:05:43.460 wouldn't go along with the pushing, with the pushing towards leftism that inevitably gives the
00:05:50.740 government more power. I hope that we can see right, left and center that the government does not
00:05:55.500 deserve your power to, it doesn't deserve you to give up your autonomy and your authority doesn't
00:06:03.220 deserve more of your money. And I don't care if it's a Republican politician that misuses our funds.
00:06:09.200 I don't care if it's a Democratic politician that misuses our funds. I don't care if it's
00:06:12.980 hypocrisy coming from the right or the left. I don't like it. I don't want it. That's why I
00:06:17.280 consistently vote for politicians who at least say, they don't always do, but say that they are going
00:06:23.740 to make sure that the government has as little authority over our lives as possible and doesn't
00:06:32.180 fight to take more of my money towards ineffective programs and towards enriching lifelong politicians.
00:06:40.220 That is my political position. It's now more than ever. I see these tiny tyrants that are passing
00:06:47.180 and pushing these unscientific and arbitrary regulations that are literally ruining the lives
00:06:53.440 of small business owners, of students, of children, of vulnerable populations everywhere.
00:06:59.940 Meanwhile, people like Governor Cuomo, where thousands and thousands of people have died in his state,
00:07:04.400 just passed the new budget for the new year that gives him a $25,000 raise, even as people have
00:07:12.920 lost their jobs and shut down their businesses because of his lockdown policies that are based
00:07:17.660 not on science, but on politics. Those are the people that are in charge. Why in the world would we ever
00:07:24.280 vote for politicians who want more power, who want more money, who promise that this time,
00:07:28.740 this time, if you give us money, if you vote for higher taxes, if you trust us to enact these
00:07:35.700 programs that are going to take care of the poor and the vulnerable and the students, we'll do it.
00:07:39.800 They won't. They won't. We need to get out and hopefully all of this pandemic and the regulations
00:07:48.000 that are the consequence of it, well, I wouldn't even say the consequence of it, but just a part of it.
00:07:53.340 Most politicians have made sure of that, that what happens is not a shift towards the left and a
00:07:59.440 shift towards more of a government takeover so they get more of our money to redistribute to other
00:08:04.220 people, but a realization among the populace that the government in general is not to be trusted.
00:08:09.420 That doesn't mean that every politician is a bad person. It doesn't mean that they're all hypocrites
00:08:13.300 or that they're all immoral, but power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. And the more
00:08:17.860 power and the more money that you give politicians, and this is typically a Democratic Party platform,
00:08:23.040 although Republicans fight in some ways for big government too, especially establishment
00:08:27.640 Republicans, that means that we need to vote against those people. We need to push them out.
00:08:33.320 We need to give as little power to the government over our lives as humanly possible. We see that they
00:08:38.680 do not treat groups fairly. You've got places like Nevada where casinos are able to operate at least
00:08:45.400 at half capacity, but churches are not. You see strip clubs in certain states that are allowed to
00:08:51.000 operate at least 25% capacity, but churches are still forced to congregate outside. It doesn't
00:08:57.420 make any sense. It's a violation of your First Amendment, and the politicians that are in power
00:09:02.020 do not care. It's not about public health. It is about which special interest groups are lining
00:09:07.160 their pockets. It's about keeping power, and it's about time that we all wake up to that reality and
00:09:12.660 the corruption that is in our bureaucracy and vote the heck against it. There are a few things that
00:09:19.020 make me more mad that the misuse of power at the expense of vulnerable people that's been happening
00:09:24.180 in this country on the right and the left for too long. It's about time we wake up to it, and we
00:09:28.740 realize not that, hey, this is a scandemic, or hey, this virus isn't real. We know it's real. We know
00:09:35.220 that it's hurting people. We know that it can kill people. My position has always been that people
00:09:40.380 should be able to make the decision that is best for them, that businesses should be able to make the
00:09:45.800 decision that is best for them, take the precautions that they want to take, that people, most people
00:09:51.040 don't want to get sick. Most people don't want to get vulnerable sick. People who are scared of the
00:09:54.860 virus will stay home. People will wash their hands. People will wear masks if they want to wear masks,
00:10:00.660 but what we've seen from the undiscerning politicians who are in charge is that they really have no moral
00:10:06.800 authority and no scientific basis for the policies that they are placing on us and that they are not
00:10:15.280 good at leading us. Most of the politicians are not good at leading us. And so my simple position is
00:10:23.060 not that the virus isn't real and that you shouldn't take it seriously. It's that we should be able to make
00:10:28.420 the decisions that are best for us and best for our family when it comes to this. You should not
00:10:33.240 force a business to close its doors and then spend all of your time in Washington quibbling
00:10:41.120 over whether or not you're going to send stimulus checks to these people after you have ruined their
00:10:46.820 lives and driven some of these people into loneliness-induced depression and suicide.
00:10:52.400 I mean, it's gross. It's gross. And I hope if we can all come together on at least this,
00:10:57.640 at least the fact that more bureaucracy breeds corruption, that the more power and money that
00:11:04.600 we give to the government, the worse they are, not the better they are, then the better off we'll
00:11:09.120 be, even if we disagree on our policy positions. But we've at least got to get there. That's the
00:11:15.060 direction that I hope all of this takes us, that people wake up and realize, hey, I think it's best
00:11:19.920 for me and my family to make our own decisions. We'll take our own precautions on Thanksgiving.
00:11:23.760 Thank you very much, Gavin Newsom and Governor Inslee and Governor Cuomo. We'll decide what's
00:11:29.740 best for us and our family. We'll decide what's best for our elderly parents. Guess what? You care
00:11:35.960 more about your family. You care more about your kids. You care more about your elderly parents and
00:11:40.880 grandparents than the state does. So whatever regulation they try to push on you in the name of
00:11:46.620 compassion, it needs to be weighed against the love and the care and the knowledge that you have of
00:11:53.560 the people in your life that is far greater, far greater than what the state has and what the
00:11:59.820 state feels for the people in your life and isn't contradicted and opposed by your own special
00:12:04.840 interests. You are going to do what's best for your elderly parents. I guarantee it in a way that
00:12:10.000 Governor Cuomo and other governors and Lori Lightfoot, no matter what they say, they do not care about your
00:12:18.060 parents and your grandparents the way that you do. They do not care about your kids the way that you do.
00:12:22.020 You are going to make the best choice for you and your family. These politicians are not.
00:12:26.880 So tell them to shove it and say that now is the time that we are going to make the decisions that
00:12:32.920 are best for us. We're going to be making the choices from here on out. Thank you very much.
00:12:37.420 Thank you very much. That is where I want us to head when in the middle of this as they are trying to
00:12:44.620 actually shift more power to the government in the name of taking care of people. I hope that we wake up
00:12:50.020 and shift away from that and realize that we are run by a bunch of corrupt, hypocritical tyrants
00:12:55.520 that have a real resentment and feeling of condescension towards you, their constituents.
00:13:01.060 Now, what does this have to do with the theme of today's episode? Because I know that a lot of us
00:13:06.300 are very discouraged that we are looking at some of the regulations in our state and in our county.
00:13:10.940 We're worried about our kids who are now being re-forced to sit in front of a screen all day with no
00:13:15.860 social interaction. We are worried and sad about our communities that aren't able to attend church
00:13:23.660 in person. We are worried that they are never going to give up the power that they have been
00:13:29.380 given, that they are going to continue to violate our First Amendment rights. They are going to
00:13:33.960 continue to use so-called public health crises to take away our liberty. And I just want to remind
00:13:39.860 you who the absolute authority is in the world, and that is the creator of the universe, the father
00:13:46.940 of Christians. He is our good shepherd. He is the one who takes care of us. He is who our rights come
00:13:53.480 from. And ultimately, we serve him. Jesus tells us, I think it's Matthew 11, not to be scared of the
00:14:00.820 person who can kill the body, but to fear the one who can throw body and soul into hell. So it is God
00:14:08.080 who is to solicit our fear. He is to solicit our worship and our unconditional following. That
00:14:13.960 doesn't mean that we rebel against the government for the sake of rebellion. That's not what I'm
00:14:18.140 saying. That's not to say that we shouldn't submit to civil authorities in every way that we can without
00:14:23.040 sinning. We should. Romans 13 tells us that we should, as long as it doesn't cause us to sin.
00:14:28.700 And that doesn't mean that we shouldn't pray for the people in power. I've already prayed.
00:14:32.140 I pray for Democratic politicians. I will pray for Joe Biden. I've already prayed for Joe Biden and
00:14:38.740 Kamala Harris. If they officially take office in January, then I will continue to pray for them.
00:14:43.620 And I will hope the best for this country under their leadership, even knowing where I can anticipate
00:14:49.680 their policies taking us into. And it's not to a good place. So I'm not saying that we shouldn't hope
00:14:56.720 and pray for the welfare and the well-being and the good leadership of our politicians, even the ones
00:15:02.100 that we are not in agreement with. I'm not saying that we should rebel for the sake of rebellion. I
00:15:06.780 am saying that when it comes down to it, we are called to follow the Lord and not any man. And we are
00:15:13.380 supposed to live in a country of the people, for the people, and by the people, that we are governed
00:15:18.340 by the people, that the people in office work for us, not the other way around. Unfortunately,
00:15:23.980 we've seen, especially this year, those roles seem to have reversed. And we have a right,
00:15:28.860 we have a responsibility, we have an obligation for the well-being of all people, all demographics,
00:15:33.720 all socioeconomic classes to hold our leaders accountable and to remind them that, hey,
00:15:38.440 you work for us. And we as Christians are not under the authority of the state. The state doesn't get to
00:15:45.420 say, the state does not get to say how a church can worship. They don't. That's a violation of the
00:15:52.040 First Amendment. They do not have authority over the church. You know, it's funny. A lot of people
00:15:56.520 on the left, they love the phrase separation of church and state, even though it's nowhere in the
00:16:00.960 Constitution. But I do believe that it is an important principle. It is meant to separate. It
00:16:07.320 is meant to protect the state from the church in that the state is not supposed to establish
00:16:15.480 a nationwide religion, as the First Amendment says, but it's also meant to protect the church
00:16:21.740 from the state. And it is that that leftists typically don't realize and they don't actually
00:16:27.060 care about. So they'll use separation of church and state when it comes to, for example,
00:16:32.160 abortion regulation, which is very stupid. That's a terrible argument, as if you need the church to
00:16:38.000 tell you, as if you need a church influenced policy to say that you shouldn't murder. Like murder is
00:16:46.120 against the law. All we're saying is that the murder of unborn children should be lumped into
00:16:49.980 that as well. So they love to use the separation of church and state in an argument like that,
00:16:55.560 which doesn't make any logical or constitutional legal sense, moral sense whatsoever. But when it
00:17:02.380 comes to Governor Inslee in Washington saying, hey, church, you can't meet except in the way that I
00:17:09.240 want you to meet or Nevada or any of these more liberal states or even places like Ohio saying
00:17:15.040 churches, this is what you have to do. You don't hear anyone on the left saying, oh, separation of
00:17:20.120 church and state. The church needs to be protected from the state, even though that is a part of what
00:17:26.060 the separation of church and state means. It's just very interesting, the duplicity there.
00:17:31.520 But that is an important principle in that the church is supposed to be protected from the state
00:17:37.460 and we are supposed to live in a country that honors that, that honors the First Amendment. There is not
00:17:41.880 an asterisk beside the First Amendment that says, except in a time of a pandemic. All I'm saying
00:17:49.300 is that people should be trusted. People should be trusted to make the choices that are best for them
00:17:55.480 and are best for their family because ultimately our inherent rights that are recognized in the
00:18:00.100 constitution come from the God who created rights, the God who created morality. And the people who
00:18:07.020 don't like that who say, no, we started as a secular nation. No, we did not. The separation of church and
00:18:12.220 state means that there's not going to be an establishment of the church by the state. There
00:18:16.840 shouldn't be an infiltration of the church by the state either. And that, but it does not mean the
00:18:23.320 separation of God and law. Our laws were based on biblical principles of things like due process
00:18:30.360 and property rights. Do not murder. That's a biblical principle. The idea of natural rights, that's God's
00:18:37.120 idea. The law, any law against theft, that was first God's law to Israel. And so, yes, the foundation of
00:18:44.920 this country, the idea that we were all created equal, endowed by a creator with certain inalienable rights,
00:18:50.240 that comes from God. And we see what happens when we move away from any kind of biblical ethic
00:18:56.700 or biblical idea of natural rights, biblical idea of property rights, of human dignity. We see all
00:19:04.060 kinds of perversion, all kinds of immorality, and not only that, but the surrendering of liberty that
00:19:09.980 always goes part and parcel with the pushing away of God-given rights and God's idea of what is right
00:19:17.620 and what is wrong. You see that in every society. Where God gets smaller, the government gets bigger,
00:19:23.220 and suffering expands for the constituents, for the people. Here's one really good example of our
00:19:32.280 culture, and just universally, when we move away from God, we embrace other types of immorality
00:19:38.840 that damage, especially vulnerable groups, but really all people. And that is this, that's this
00:19:46.880 article in The Atlantic talking about the last children of Down syndrome. It says prenatal testing
00:19:55.600 is changing who gets born and who doesn't. This is just the beginning. And so we are going to
00:20:02.280 talk about how this is a perversion and a stepping away from the Christian ethic on life that has been
00:20:10.940 so beneficial to the world at large, but especially the Western world. And what are the consequences of
00:20:17.020 that? Of us giving authority to people who do not have the authority, who do not have the authority to
00:20:23.240 say what life is precious and what life is no longer valuable. When we step away from the biblical
00:20:29.880 ethic of all life, including life inside the womb, is dignified, made in the image of God, and therefore
00:20:35.260 is worth protection, we will talk about the consequences of what happens when we step away
00:20:40.580 from the idea that this is our Father's world, and He defines what is good and what is not, what is life
00:20:46.280 and what is not, what is valuable and what is not. But first, we have to take a quick ad break.
00:20:59.880 Okay, so when we're talking about the authority of God over the heavens and the earth, one of the
00:21:10.500 most important things that we can be reminded of is that God created life and human life. A human life
00:21:16.440 is different than animal life. God created man and woman in His image. He didn't create anything else
00:21:22.500 in His image. When we look at the creation account in the first few chapters of Genesis, we see that God
00:21:28.800 likes, He loves everything that He creates. He makes the sun and the moon and the stars and the
00:21:34.640 animals and the fish and the ocean and the water, and He separates all of these things exactly how
00:21:40.180 He wants to. Everything God does, this is one thing I just love about the nature of God. He does
00:21:44.660 nothing accidentally. He does nothing arbitrarily. Everything is by process, even things that sometimes
00:21:50.300 you wonder, why didn't God just snap His fingers and allow everything to happen at once? But if you look at
00:21:54.980 the very beginning of the biblical canon, the very beginning of time, God does things systematically,
00:22:01.600 He does things in an order. He does things in a process. You see that especially in the history
00:22:06.480 of Israel as well, that He commands Israel to do certain things. He commanded Moses, for example,
00:22:13.020 strike this rock and water will come out, and honey will come out in one example.
00:22:20.100 You sometimes wonder, why didn't God just provide these things? Or when He instructed Israel to go
00:22:28.720 pick up manna, why didn't God just give them manna in a basket if He could do that? But almost every
00:22:35.020 miracle or everything that we see God do throughout the Bible, there is a process. There is, even when
00:22:43.160 humans are involved, an act of obedience that is required in order for God to accomplish His purpose.
00:22:49.180 God could snap His metaphorical fingers and make things happen exactly how He wants it to, but we
00:22:56.420 very rarely see things be automatic in the Bible. And that's actually very important for us as we
00:23:02.980 think about the world and His authority over it, God's purposeful process in all that He does.
00:23:09.900 Today, people tend to believe this humanistic philosophy is that everything is basically arbitrary.
00:23:15.920 You've heard me say that leftism, humanism gets human nature wrong in the nature versus nurture
00:23:22.720 debate. We very often hear that from leftists that everything is nurture. So gender is this
00:23:31.600 malleable thing that can be changed based on societal wimps. We can redefine and restructure
00:23:37.000 the family, and there will be no natural consequences to that, no psychological consequences or physical
00:23:43.180 consequences, emotional consequences to children. Every natural process can be rearranged based on
00:23:53.080 the newest political and social dogma, and everything will be fine. They always denigrate
00:24:00.840 and disregard human nature. That's why they always try to move towards communism, for example, where people
00:24:06.860 don't have property rights, and there is no natural family, where the state replaces all of those
00:24:12.140 things, and it doesn't end up working because property rights, even supply and demand, providing
00:24:17.340 for yourself and your family is actually a part of human nature. Working to provide for yourself and
00:24:22.320 your family is actually a part of human nature, as we see in the creation account. Before the fall,
00:24:27.220 Adam is put into the garden to work and to keep it. All these things are part of human nature. God tells us
00:24:32.180 they're a part of human nature, and leftism, because it denies God is the authority over all of these
00:24:36.660 things, says that biology and human nature and natural processes and the natural formation of the
00:24:44.100 family, for example, those are all very arbitrary things, and we can rearrange them as society sees fit to
00:24:50.220 create this new social political order. And it just never works. It always leads to chaos and violence,
00:24:59.440 as we've seen in every kind of communist revolution, as we've talked a lot about on this podcast. And
00:25:05.180 society typically ends up, after much suffering and death, righting itself and getting back to
00:25:10.980 biblical values, whether they call it that or not, because this is God's world. It functions how he
00:25:17.480 wants it to function. And so for people who call themselves progressive Christians, who say that,
00:25:22.620 yeah, I believe that God is our Father. I believe that God created the heavens and the earth,
00:25:27.620 but I also believe that, you know, gender is fluid. I also believe that there is no real definition
00:25:33.360 of biblical marriage or the nuclear family. I believe that, sure, the government can get bigger
00:25:41.200 and that there doesn't need to be a natural family and that we don't have to own property. Well,
00:25:49.540 you can say that you believe that God is the authority, but actually you are taking on worldly
00:25:55.420 definitions of all of these things and you're denying the authority of God and you're not
00:26:00.380 realizing that everything that God does and says in his word is purposeful. It is intentional and it
00:26:05.620 has implications for our lives today. So it's actually very important for us to realize that
00:26:09.680 even from the creation account, and we see this throughout the biblical canon, that everything God
00:26:13.800 does is very intentional. It is by process. It is systematic. It is thoughtful. It is careful. It is
00:26:20.600 creative. And he cares very much about the physical world as well as about the spiritual world. And he
00:26:26.060 doesn't separate those two things in a dualistic way, the way that humanism does. Those things are
00:26:31.160 intertwined. We read that there's going to be a resurrection of the bodies, that we're not just going
00:26:35.520 to float on to this ethereal place, but actually that there's going to be a new heaven and a new
00:26:40.860 physical earth. And so God cares very much about those things, even more than the world does.
00:26:47.480 God doesn't deny human nature. He doesn't try to rewrite human nature. Everything that God says
00:26:52.640 is good is in compliance with human nature because he created it. And what we see over and over again
00:26:58.780 is that the biblical ethic is better. The biblical view of the world is actually more compassionate.
00:27:04.540 It is more practical. It leads to more human flourishing than any other worldview. And there have
00:27:10.960 been an adoption of other worldviews, but they never end up working. They always end up taking away
00:27:17.220 people's freedom and taking away people's flourishing. We hear that secular humanism is
00:27:22.720 actually much more compassionate, that it's much more liberating. And that if we just need to liberate
00:27:29.100 ourselves from the archaic and oppressive biblical view of morality and definitions of gender and
00:27:35.420 sexuality and marriage and right and wrong and all of that, what we find is that when we move outside of
00:27:41.880 that, we actually move, we actually move into a realm of, for example, eugenics and policies that actually
00:27:50.380 deny inherent human dignity. And one example of this is what is happening to Down syndrome children in the womb
00:27:59.100 throughout the world. And so The Atlantic wrote this article, the last children of Down syndrome, prenatal
00:28:05.120 testing is changing who gets born and who doesn't. This is just the beginning. Now, I do want to take note of the
00:28:09.880 want to take note of that language, who gets born and who doesn't. It's actually who gets killed and who
00:28:16.320 doesn't. Because as gruesome as this is going to sound and trigger warning, this is violent. And it's
00:28:22.400 obviously morbid because we're talking about abortion. Aborted babies get born. They do. Like they have to
00:28:29.440 leave the womb, whether it is surgically, whether it is because a woman expels the child after she took a pill,
00:28:38.060 whether it is induced labor. An aborted child gets born. You just give birth to a dead baby.
00:28:46.580 And so this language is not even scientifically correct. It is, once again, as all pro-abortion
00:28:54.820 and pro-choice arguments do, its use of euphemism. It's actually a manipulation of the language to try to
00:29:00.500 sterilize abortion to make it sound more moral, to make it sound more normal and okay. The fact of
00:29:06.960 the matter is, is that Down syndrome babies, all babies that get aborted, are still born. So they're
00:29:12.780 actually using very mystical terms when they say who gets born and who doesn't. It's no, this is
00:29:17.700 deciding prenatal testing. What they mean by this is changing who gets killed and who doesn't. They
00:29:22.580 don't want to use the word killed because that would actually make them admit, that would make them
00:29:27.840 admit, that abortion is the killing of a child, which it very factually is. The article goes on
00:29:33.340 to talk about in Denmark, how there's such a high rate of abortion of unborn babies. And they actually
00:29:41.180 use the term unborn children in this article, which again, just shows the cognitive dissonance
00:29:46.880 when pro-choicers are talking about abortion. But there's a high rate of abortion in Denmark.
00:29:52.840 Mark, the cover, and we'll show this on YouTube, the cover of the story is a picture. And it just
00:29:59.520 makes me want to cry looking at it of this beautiful girl, maybe six years old with Down syndrome. It
00:30:05.080 looks like they have their parents' hand on their head. And it's terrifying to me that they use this
00:30:12.060 picture of this beautiful girl clearly made in the image of God, just as much value as you and me,
00:30:18.980 of more values than many sparrows, as Jesus says in Matthew 10, and goes on to talk about how the
00:30:26.720 so-called eradication of Down syndrome is happening across Europe, not just in Denmark, through abortion,
00:30:34.620 through the killing of these babies. And prenatal testing, which is widely accessible in places like
00:30:39.540 Denmark, is not allowing this to happen, but really encouraging this to happen. This is what
00:30:45.540 happens when a society steps away from the biblical ethic on life. The biblical ethic on life is that
00:30:51.380 all human beings are made in the image of God, that we all have souls that will live forever in
00:30:56.180 one of two places. And the only time we see in the creation account that God says something that's
00:31:02.480 very good rather than just good is the creation of male and female in His image. We believe as
00:31:08.460 Christians that the person with Down syndrome, the person with severe special needs, who is not able
00:31:15.040 to function on their own the way that people with Down syndrome are, the people who have severe health
00:31:19.980 complications, who many people, secularists in the medical world, would call vegetables, would even
00:31:25.120 question the personhood of. We believe that that person with severe special needs, who is unable to do
00:31:31.280 anything on their own, is going to have to be fed by a feeding shoot their whole life, is going to have to be
00:31:36.220 taken care of by caretakers, their parents, their family for their entire life, that that person
00:31:40.420 is more valuable than the strongest racehorse, than the most valiant animal. We believe that that
00:31:49.540 person, because they are made in the image of God, because they have a soul in a way that animals don't,
00:31:55.540 because they were made in the likeness of the Trinity, as the Bible tells us, in our own special way,
00:32:03.740 that that person, no matter their disability, no matter what they can contribute to society,
00:32:11.160 is more valuable than any animal, than any other part of creation. And that is why people like
00:32:16.620 Margaret Sanger, who started Planned Parenthood, who was a renowned eugenicist, that is why she and
00:32:22.680 others like her believed and said that the Christian religion is the biggest impediment to eugenics.
00:32:28.620 There was a big movement, as the Atlantic talks about, in the 20th century towards eugenics,
00:32:34.300 that America practiced eugenics, thanks to Planned Parenthood, and thanks to Margaret Sanger,
00:32:38.700 thanks to the birth control movement, the forced sterilization of people that they believed
00:32:43.540 would produce children that would be diseased and wouldn't contribute to society. The Nazis
00:32:49.920 borrowed those tactics from Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood and eugenicists here,
00:32:58.920 and so did the rest of Europe, including Denmark. So that eugenicist movement, which a lot of people
00:33:05.660 would call ableist, because it's discriminating against people with special needs who are deemed
00:33:10.260 imperfect by society and by the elites. That is still happening, not just in Europe, but also in
00:33:19.940 here. The rate of abortion for people with Down syndrome is something like 60%. In Iceland, it's about
00:33:25.860 98% to 99%. And articles a couple years ago that were reporting on this were talking about how this is
00:33:33.100 a good thing. You're eradicating Down syndrome. This is against the Christian ethic, because we believe
00:33:39.500 people with Down syndrome or any special need is just as valuable as you or as me. We do not weigh
00:33:45.660 people's value by what they contribute to society. Unfortunately, communism and socialism, these are
00:33:53.820 humanist, godless ideologies. You can read Karl Marx, and you will see how much he hates religion.
00:33:59.120 Vladimir Lenin hated religion, hated Christianity, because Christianity has always been the mortal enemy
00:34:05.280 of tyranny. It's always been the mortal enemy of socialism, always been the mortal enemy of
00:34:11.420 communism. So again, Christians who say that they adopt these two ideologies, you don't understand that
00:34:16.360 you are holding two completely contradictory worldviews. They were never made to coincide.
00:34:21.740 Communism and socialism, leftism, humanism, materialism, these ideologies are anti-god. They're
00:34:28.560 anti-Christ. And one of the ways that we see that is through eugenics. Because look, if the state is
00:34:36.820 taking care of everyone, if everything is dependent upon people contributing to society, to then
00:34:43.580 redistribute the profit of their work to the government, so the government can redistribute it
00:34:48.740 to everyone else, or I should say distribute your profit to the government so they can redistribute it to
00:34:54.100 everyone else, then you can't have a whole lot of burdens on society. You can't have a whole lot of
00:34:59.320 burdens on the medical system if everyone is supposed to be contributing to pay for it. It just doesn't
00:35:06.360 work. And so that's why you always see when the government gets bigger, when God gets smaller, you
00:35:11.400 don't just see tyranny, but you see the so-called eradication of people who are a, quote, burden on
00:35:17.300 society. That's what happens when you adopt a godless worldview. People get killed. Things like Nazi
00:35:24.080 ism happen. Eugenics happen. Planned Parenthood happens. By the way, Planned Parenthood is still
00:35:30.180 accomplishing the purpose that it was started to accomplish by Margaret Sanger, the eradication of
00:35:36.020 not just people with special needs, but anyone who the elites deem undesirable. Unfortunately,
00:35:42.480 that is disproportionately black and brown babies in this country. And it should tell you something
00:35:47.280 that organizations like Black Lives Matter and all of these leftists and Democrats who talk about
00:35:52.720 systemic racism also support Planned Parenthood, who was started by an avowed white supremacist
00:35:58.120 whose mission was eugenics and that is still being accomplished today around the world via abortion,
00:36:04.980 especially here in the United States, disproportionately towards black and brown babies.
00:36:09.820 So if the people who are crying out about white supremacy,
00:36:13.400 the Black Lives Matter activists are not also talking about this,
00:36:17.280 are not talking about how the way of eugenics, especially via Planned Parenthood,
00:36:21.680 is disproportionately targeting young women in minority communities, then you shouldn't be
00:36:26.820 taking them seriously. That tells you they're more about left-wing ideology than they are about black lives.
00:36:32.360 So I want you to think about where you stand on all of these issues.
00:36:36.420 Is the creator of the heavens and the earth your authority or is ideology your authority? Is left-wing
00:36:43.080 ideology your authority? And if you said that social justice is, you know, the way of Christianity,
00:36:48.480 but really you have found yourself adopting views that are anti-God, adopting ideologies, humanism,
00:36:54.760 communism, socialism, materialism, eugenics that are anti-God, they all go together. They all go
00:37:01.480 together and you have been fooled. You've been hoodwinked as a progressive Christian into thinking that you
00:37:06.760 can match your Christianity with these ideologies. There's a reason why you, Christian, professing
00:37:12.480 Christian, when you move to the left politically, why you started to question if Jesus was really the
00:37:18.880 only way to God. Why you started to question if Christianity is really the only way. Why you started to
00:37:24.320 question basic morality. There's a reason for that because your politics, if you are a socialist,
00:37:29.660 communist, leftist, cannot coincide with biblical Christianity. And so you've started to give way on
00:37:34.000 things like abortion. You've started to be apathetic towards things like eugenics. You have started to
00:37:38.920 not really care about the things that God cares about. There's a reason for that. Those two things
00:37:42.480 cannot coincide. Psalm 139, 14 through 16 makes this very clear that all human beings, no matter
00:37:50.280 your needs, no matter your special needs, by the way, we all have particular special needs.
00:37:54.660 Like we all have differences. We all have weaknesses. We all have some kind of neuro diversity.
00:38:02.700 I am not more valuable. You are not more valuable than the person who has autism, than the person who
00:38:07.400 has Down syndrome. Not in God's eyes. Thank the Lord for that. What a compassionate and good God we serve.
00:38:12.900 So much more merciful than the God of the government or the God of self, right? Like it is such a joy to
00:38:18.040 be able to worship that kind of compassionate and merciful God that of course the world is going
00:38:21.820 to call merciless and mean. We can't out-compassion God, you guys. Psalm 139, 14 through 16 says,
00:38:28.580 For you created my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I'm
00:38:33.300 fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. I know that full well. My frame was
00:38:37.580 not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of
00:38:41.620 the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book
00:38:48.180 before one of them came to be. That's how much God cares about life inside the womb. He creates it.
00:38:55.660 He plans it. He knows it intimately. Even the lives, even the babies whose spinal cords are snipped,
00:39:02.400 even the babies who die because a doctor inserts a needle into the womb in order to force them into
00:39:10.320 cardiac arrest. That is how second trimester abortions happen. And then the dead baby is taken
00:39:16.740 out of the womb. Even the babies who are starved and poisoned by the abortion pill,
00:39:22.160 God knows those babies. He formed those babies. He was sovereign over the conception of those babies.
00:39:27.580 He cares about them. He cares about them. And if we are Christians who are called to imitate God,
00:39:33.340 which we are, we should care about them too. Then we've got pastor, reverence, and I put that
00:39:40.320 in scare quotes for a reason. Warnock, Raphael Warnock, who was running for Senate in Georgia against
00:39:48.680 Kelly Loeffler, the Republican. He tweets this. I'm a pro-choice pastor, and I believe that a hospital
00:39:53.920 room is way too small for a woman, her doctor, and the United States government. It's too small for God,
00:40:01.140 pastor. What about that? Does he factor into this decision of killing unborn babies? I mean,
00:40:06.780 he's trying to be clever. He's trying to be cute. There's nothing clever or cute about advocating
00:40:10.520 for the unrestricted access to killing babies that are made in the image of God. This person is no pastor.
00:40:16.520 By the way, just an aside, he was arrested, I think it was 2003, for obstructing the investigation
00:40:24.220 by the police into child abuse that happened at a church camp where he worked, arrested for
00:40:32.040 obstructing investigation into child abuse. And he has not apologized for it. He has not repented of it.
00:40:38.600 He just denies it, even though he was arrested for it. He is currently in a dispute with his now
00:40:44.760 ex-wife who he was married to for only three years. She accused him of running over her foot
00:40:50.940 with a car. We don't know if that's true. That's what she accused him of. They're in some kind of
00:40:56.180 custody battle, battle over their kids after only a three-year marriage and then a divorce. He is
00:41:01.720 avowedly, he talked about how Marxism is good in one of his sermons. He talked about how cops are
00:41:11.020 terrorists in one of his sermons. And I can link the citations to that. And now he says,
00:41:16.240 I'm a pro-choice pastor. And I believe that a hospital room is way too small for a woman,
00:41:21.220 her doctor, and the United States government. That it's such terrible logic. Are you saying
00:41:25.820 that the government doesn't have any authority to say that we shouldn't kill someone? Has no
00:41:30.960 authority to say that we shouldn't murder someone? Because if that is your argument,
00:41:36.020 a complete libertarian argument that the government really has no role at all. And I know most
00:41:41.640 libertarians are pro-life, but I'm going on the extreme. If you are an anti-government activist,
00:41:47.380 you might believe, sure, that the government doesn't have any role at all in protecting innocent
00:41:54.100 life. But the thing with people like Warnock is that he believes that the government has the power
00:41:58.200 to tell you to do anything. He believes openly that the government has the power to take away your
00:42:02.360 guns, that the government has the power to take care of you, to take care of your life. The
00:42:07.560 government should have more power and more money. He's a far left-wing Democrat. He is an admirer of
00:42:12.800 every left-wing dictator that you can think of. But the government apparently doesn't have the power to
00:42:17.640 protect the lives of defenseless, unborn babies. And he calls himself a pastor. He doesn't care at all
00:42:23.000 about babies who are made in the image of God in the womb. He doesn't care at all that Planned
00:42:28.200 Parenthood was founded by a white supremacist and that a disproportionate number of black and brown
00:42:34.580 children are killed via abortion. Georgia, you're not going to vote for this person, are you?
00:42:40.780 Christians, please don't be fooled by this person who calls himself a reverend and has abandoned the
00:42:45.420 idea that God created the heavens and the earth and therefore says what is and what isn't, what's
00:42:48.740 right and what's wrong. All kinds of people call themselves Christians and don't actually believe that.
00:42:53.840 This person, it seems like, worships the God of self. So not only is he a bad politician,
00:42:59.060 a terrible seeming person, I don't know, but seeming person based on what we know,
00:43:04.580 he's also a false teacher. I can't even imagine how dangerous it would be for that kind of person
00:43:09.760 to be in power. But this is what happens. These are the kinds of contradictory and theologically
00:43:15.980 terrible and blasphemous ideas that pastors, that government leaders, and that the populace takes on
00:43:23.320 when you abandon the idea that God is in control. What also happens is that we start to redefine
00:43:30.760 very basic things like what is a man and what is a woman. You probably saw Harry Styles on the cover
00:43:37.100 of Vogue wearing a dress and Candace Owens and Ben Shapiro and some other people called it out and said,
00:43:42.540 look, this is making masculinity a laughingstock. This is not good for society. And leftists absolutely
00:43:49.320 freaked out and said, yes, it is good for society without thinking at all what happens to society
00:43:55.200 when we allow the mass sissification of men. Now, am I personally affected by what Harry Styles wears?
00:44:05.340 Do I want to outlaw him deciding what he wears? No, I am not advocating for that at all. In fact,
00:44:11.760 there have been several photo shoots of men wearing dresses. I think it was 20 to 25 years ago that Brad
00:44:17.320 Pitt was wearing a dress on the cover of some magazine. So going beyond what Harry Styles is
00:44:23.700 wearing on the cover of Vogue, because I don't really care. I do think, obviously, that this
00:44:29.160 disintegration of the natural biological definitions of male and female are going to have a terrible
00:44:36.240 effect, not just on individuals and especially children who are always the most vulnerable to
00:44:41.240 left-wing ideology, especially via teachers unions and left-wing organizations that target them,
00:44:46.480 as well as ignorant and apathetic parents, but also to society as a whole. Here's the truth.
00:44:54.160 And we see this reiterated in God's Word. We see this reiterated throughout history. This is just
00:44:59.500 the truth, that society needs two things to just survive. I'm not even talking about thriving.
00:45:04.400 Just survive. You need women to have babies, and you need men to be strong. You need them to be able
00:45:09.980 to defend and provide. Not all women have to have babies for society to survive. Not all women are going to
00:45:15.880 have babies because God calls a lot of people to be single. God doesn't allow some people to have
00:45:21.440 babies. But in order for societies to just survive, to carry on to the next generation, those two things
00:45:27.860 have to exist. A large number of women have to have babies, or a good number of women have to have a lot
00:45:32.680 of babies. And men have to be able to defend and to provide and to protect, not just their families
00:45:39.660 and communities, but our nation as a whole. They have to be able to lead. If we don't have
00:45:45.060 those two things, then we're toast, just factually as a nation. And again, I'm not even talking about
00:45:51.540 thriving as a nation, which I think is the requirement of that is actually having proper
00:45:58.880 roles and a proper view of femininity and masculinity. But women have to have babies. Men have to be strong.
00:46:07.520 They have to protect. And there's some margin there. There's some room for radical feminists
00:46:13.800 to rail against that in a surviving society. There's some room for some sissy men in a surviving
00:46:20.280 society. Not all men and women need to be the same and to have the same roles and responsibilities in
00:46:27.740 order for society to survive. But in order for us to survive and thrive, there have to be enough women
00:46:33.580 who embrace femininity in that way. And there have to be enough men to embrace masculinity in
00:46:38.340 that way. Are we in danger of losing that, of losing that plurality that is necessary for a society
00:46:44.440 to survive? Maybe. I do think that there are powers that be, as we talked about on Friday,
00:46:50.800 through radical sex education and the leftism that seeks to disintegrate all that is good,
00:46:55.640 including the nuclear family, including the gender dichotomy, including the traditional role of
00:47:00.740 male and female. I do think that they are at work to break all of those things down to make people
00:47:08.440 isolated, to make people dumb, to make people sexually confused and messed up and mentally unwell
00:47:16.720 and unstable in order to create an easy to control proletariat. I don't think that's a conspiracy theory.
00:47:24.380 I think that we can very easily look at the policies of some of these left-wing organizations and
00:47:29.300 politicians and see the end goal there. Again, this is what happens when you give authority to earthly
00:47:35.480 authorities that deny human nature and deny God's authority rather than following God's definitions of
00:47:41.100 what is and what is not. The Bible actually gives a very radical take, especially for that time of men
00:47:48.820 and women and specifically of wives and husbands. People often think of the biblical definitions of
00:47:54.820 marriage and sexuality is so archaic and restrictive and burdensome, and we need to liberate ourselves
00:48:00.820 from those things. But actually, for most of human history, women, and especially wives, have been
00:48:06.160 viewed as property. That's not a feminist take. That's just true, especially in secular societies.
00:48:11.840 They have been seen as nothing more than gestators, nothing more than servants of their husband and
00:48:18.420 servants of their household. And it is actually Christianity that obliterates that. It's actually
00:48:25.960 Christianity that doesn't replace the patriarchy, but says, here's a good patriarchy that is actually best
00:48:31.380 for everyone, because look, someone has to lead. But we believe that in marriage and in society, that women
00:48:38.580 should be treated with dignity, made in the image of God. We see that in something like Ephesians 5, which
00:48:45.600 today, our sensibilities are offended by this, because we're like, oh, how dare, how dare Paul,
00:48:52.860 God through Paul, say that wives should submit to their husbands as to the Lord. But actually,
00:48:56.660 if you read the context, and especially in the context of this point in history, what I'm about
00:49:01.440 to read was so radical in the way of protecting and caring for and cherishing women that the people
00:49:08.280 there would have thought that this was some crazy movement towards egalitarianism. And now, of course,
00:49:16.540 the feminists balk at this and think that it's so crazy. But this actually just shows how much God
00:49:20.580 cares equally for women. Ephesians 5, 22 through 26, wives, submit to your own husbands as you do to
00:49:30.120 the Lord. I actually realized that I pulled the NIV for this. Typically, I use ESV. But for the husband
00:49:36.140 as the head of the wife is Christ, as the head of the church, his body of which he is the Savior.
00:49:41.520 Now is the church submits to Christ. So also, wives should submit to their husbands and everything.
00:49:46.280 And so everyone freaks out. But then you read verse 25. Husbands, love your wives just as Christ
00:49:53.080 loved the church and gave himself up for her. So calling men, husbands, to sacrificial love,
00:49:59.940 laying down their lives for their wives, not treating their wives as property, not saying that,
00:50:05.540 hey, your wife is just your object of sexual pleasure or just a servant for you. But no, you're to love
00:50:11.300 your wife as Christ loved you. And guess what? Christ died for you on the cross so that you could be
00:50:16.420 safe. To make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word. We actually see this
00:50:21.860 throughout the New Testament, that husbands are told to love and to cherish their wives. This was
00:50:28.320 this was a radical thing. First Corinthians 7, 4. For the wife does not have authority over her own
00:50:35.340 body, but the husband does. Likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the
00:50:40.740 wife does. That was crazy back then. People thought that men had authority over all of women and that
00:50:47.160 husbands had authority over their wives, that they could take sexual pleasure when they saw fit,
00:50:51.440 basically raping their wives. And first Corinthians is speaking against that. It's saying, no,
00:50:56.120 the wife is a human being. She has a soul and she doesn't belong to herself. The wife doesn't. And
00:51:02.240 the husband doesn't belong to his self. You belong to one another. You are in mutual submission,
00:51:07.500 especially sexually in this context, to one another. This would have been radical. The Bible
00:51:13.480 loves men and women equally. There are different roles for men and women. We can see in Proverbs 31 that
00:51:20.000 the responsibility that the woman has surrounds taking care of her house and taking care of her
00:51:27.160 home and her household. But we see such praise of that woman that her children rise up and call her
00:51:33.060 blessed. Verse 28 says her husband also when he praises her and says a woman who fears the Lord is to be
00:51:39.560 praised. We see that God loves masculinity and femininity. He loves the unique roles and the unique
00:51:47.280 responsibilities and the unique strengths that he gives to men and women far more than the world
00:51:52.720 does. Like God loves us better than we do. God honors women better than feminism does. He values
00:51:59.520 masculinity more than society does. And he made men and women biologically different for a specific
00:52:05.880 purpose. He did not give us our genders arbitrarily. He didn't say, hey, you can mix it up. This kind of
00:52:12.100 stuff is fluid. Gender and sex are different. That's not what we read in the creation account.
00:52:16.900 That's not what we read throughout history. That's not what Jesus says in Matthew 19 when he says,
00:52:22.080 have you not read that he, God, who created them from the beginning, made them male and female?
00:52:27.220 Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife and the two shall become
00:52:30.660 one flesh. All that hogwash that Jesus never talked about, gender and sexuality or marriage.
00:52:36.740 Matthew 19 completely obliterates that myth. Yes, he does. Plus, Jesus is God. And John 1 says that he
00:52:42.940 was God in the beginning. The word was God. So Jesus is also, he is an equal person in the Trinity,
00:52:50.700 the creator of the heavens and the earth. He created the creation account. He created them
00:52:57.600 male and female. He has the authority to say what is and what isn't. And so people try to separate
00:53:05.700 Jesus from God and saying, Jesus didn't care about all of these things. Well, Jesus is God. Anything that
00:53:10.660 God says that he cares about throughout the biblical canon, Jesus automatically cares about too. That's
00:53:16.620 another way that so-called progressive Christianity breaks down. So God has a specific purpose for our
00:53:23.620 anatomy, for our biology. He cares about it. He created it again with process, with specificity.
00:53:29.660 It's not arbitrary. It is not up to our own determination. It's not determined by our feelings
00:53:34.580 or by our emotions. But he says that societies need masculinity, that they need femininity,
00:53:40.540 that men and women compliment one another, and that there is a good way for husbands to lead wives
00:53:47.880 in a way that cherishes them and loves them. The biblical ethic on marriage and on gender is far
00:53:53.660 more compassionate, far more logical, and far better for society and for families and for communities
00:54:01.500 than any secular or humanist ethic that we could possibly have. And so we should not be ashamed of
00:54:09.600 that, that history shows us that's true, that the Bible shows us that's true. The founders were not
00:54:15.020 ashamed of that. The founders, they get a lot of things wrong, by the way, in this idea that all men
00:54:19.040 were created equal. They obviously didn't fully believe that about women at the time. They didn't believe
00:54:24.340 that about Africans at the time. And so the founders did not see this picture fully, and they didn't have
00:54:30.100 the gift of history that we do. But now we are able to look at the word of God and to look at all the
00:54:35.260 history we have behind us and say, okay, yes, God's way is better. And when we get closer to that, good
00:54:40.940 things happen. The abolition of slavery happens because we got closer to the biblical ethic on
00:54:46.120 humanity. That, wow, human beings, no matter their race, no matter their background, no matter their
00:54:51.760 socioeconomic class in other parts of history, they are equal in the eyes of God and should be equal
00:54:58.380 under the eyes of the law. Good things happen when societies get closer to God's biblical ethic
00:55:05.160 on human nature and what humans are. We take care of the vulnerable better, not through the government
00:55:13.100 and through more bureaucracy, but churches and individuals. We take up that responsibility.
00:55:18.020 We care for the vulnerable. We care for the unborn child. We care for the mom. We care for the widow.
00:55:22.880 We care for the orphan. We care for the traditionally marginalized. We care for equal justice. We care
00:55:30.240 about the family and communities better when we align with God's authority. And as long as we rebel
00:55:36.780 against that, we will see chaos and we will see the efforts to replace God's authority with a
00:55:43.980 government's authority. And as I've said so many times, the government makes a really bad God.
00:55:47.780 The government makes a really bad God, a really unmerciful God. So all of this said, do not be
00:55:54.180 ashamed to say that you follow the King of Kings. Jesus is King, by the way, is a political statement.
00:56:00.060 It's always been a political statement. As I've heard Jeff Durbin say, Jesus is Lord has been the,
00:56:05.520 have been the three words that have scared tyrants and made them shake in their boots for all of history,
00:56:13.160 especially since the Protestant Reformation. And we are called to say that now, that yes,
00:56:19.300 we are called to pray for our leaders, to submit to our leaders as much as we can,
00:56:23.020 but we push back against anything that goes against God's law. And right now, right now,
00:56:29.780 we still have the voice to do that. We still have the freedom to do that. That doesn't mean that I'm
00:56:34.660 advocating for a theocratic dictatorship to where people have to conform to what the Bible says.
00:56:42.520 That would be a violation of the First Amendment. I'm not trying to establish a national church,
00:56:48.080 but the way of society and our basic laws should reflect the morality of the only moral lawgiver
00:56:56.060 that exists. People often say, well, you know, Christianity and the Bible shouldn't affect
00:57:01.480 society. Well, secularism does. That's a belief system. That's a worldview. Secularism isn't neutral,
00:57:08.160 by the way. Atheism is not neutral. It has its own moral code. The question is,
00:57:12.240 which one is better, God's law or human's law? I think we've seen throughout the 20th century
00:57:16.700 when humans replace God's law with their own law, it leads to communism and socialism and suffering
00:57:22.820 and eugenics and the reconfiguration of the family, which ends to suffering.
00:57:30.340 And so we shouldn't be afraid to fight for that and to vouch for that. Secularism is not neutral,
00:57:37.400 and it fills the vacuum that is left when we Christians decide that we are no longer going
00:57:44.500 to stick up for our views, that we are no longer going to say that God is the authority over all
00:57:49.080 of these things. So don't be ashamed when you're speaking about this stuff. You literally have the
00:57:52.960 God of the universe who created all of these things on your side. You also have history on
00:57:57.020 your side. You also have science on your side. God created science. It's never going to be truly at
00:58:03.920 odds with the God who created it. You have these things on your side, whether or not mainstream
00:58:09.920 society tells you to do not be ashamed to teach these things to your children. The best thing that
00:58:14.060 you, that we can teach to our children is that this is our father's world. He created it and he loves you
00:58:20.200 and he created you for a special purpose. He created you with intention. He created you with specificity.
00:58:25.480 He put you where he did, how he did, why he did, on purpose. He created you, your body, your mind,
00:58:33.280 exactly how he wanted to. You are made in the image of God. You have a soul that's going to live forever.
00:58:37.940 And if you put your faith in Jesus by grace through faith, then we get to enjoy eternity forever.
00:58:45.080 I know that's repetitive. In the presence of a holy God to whom we are reconciled
00:58:51.480 by the blood of his son, Jesus Christ. We shouldn't be ashamed of that. We have to teach
00:58:57.600 our children those things, that God is the authority, that there's going to be a lot of
00:59:01.960 people who say a lot of stupid things, a lot of bad politicians, a lot of bad teachers, a lot of bad
00:59:06.600 friends out there. Don't be scared of them and don't shy away from them, but know whose authority
00:59:12.460 you are under and who takes care of you and who says what is right and wrong. That is the only way to
00:59:19.200 push back against tyranny. It's the only way to push back against totalitarianism. It's the only
00:59:23.360 way to push back against perversion and immorality and all of the corruption that is plaguing our
00:59:27.960 country. There's a lot of evil in the world. We are salt and light and God did not place us where
00:59:34.420 he did and when he did arbitrarily. Remember, he doesn't do anything arbitrarily. He does things
00:59:40.400 through obedience and process. And he has predestined us to live where we live right now. He has given you
00:59:46.720 the children that he has given you for a reason. He has placed you in the state, in the city, in the
00:59:50.820 school district that he has placed you in for a specific reason. This is our father's world. We
00:59:55.420 are his ambassadors here for a short amount of time to obey him. That's it. That's where our confidence
01:00:00.520 comes from. That's where our peace comes from. That's where our joy comes from as well. I hope that
01:00:04.880 encourages you and motivates you and reminds you where our calling actually comes from and where our
01:00:10.620 authority actually is. Okay, I'll see you back here on Wednesday.
