00:00:00.000 The Supreme Court has ruled that the Biden administration can continue to remove razor wire at the border that has been put there by Texas to inhibit illegal border crossings.
00:00:15.120 What's going to happen now? Greg Abbott says he's not going to stand for this.
00:00:19.340 What is this tension, this conflict going to look like? And how in the world did we get here? And why are Christians so confused about the immigration issue?
00:00:31.400 We're going to talk about all of that and more on today's episode of Relatable, which is brought to you by our friends at Good Ranchers. Go to GoodRanchers.com. Use code Allie at checkout. That's GoodRanchers.com. Code Allie.
00:00:49.340 Hey, y'all. Welcome to Relatable. Happy Tuesday. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.
00:00:56.040 Also, great news. In addition to the merch that we announced yesterday, the self-love won't save you Valentine's merch, we just added crew necks.
00:01:04.000 So we've got T-shirts, we've got some little totes, and we've got stickers. And then we have these cute crew necks.
00:01:10.500 Self-love won't save you because it won't. And I guess I should just promote my book where that message comes from.
00:01:16.320 You're not enough. And that's okay. Escaping the toxic culture of self-love. Hey, Relatable Bros, this would be a great little Valentine's Day package for the Related Gal in your life.
00:01:26.940 You can get this book. It's available on Amazon, wherever. And then you can also get some Relatable merch, and you can put it in a little Relatable tote for her.
00:01:35.760 Give it to her on Valentine's Day. She will feel so loved. And you know what? You have no excuse, Related Bros, because I'm telling you right now, Valentine's Day is February 14th.
00:01:43.680 So don't forget about it. All right. We've got a lot to talk about today. We're moving on past the results of the Iowa caucus last week, and then DeSantis dropping out.
00:01:55.540 We analyzed that on yesterday. We analyzed that on yesterday's episode, rather, and y'all have given me your very diverse and passionate opinions about that.
00:02:05.700 Now we are going to talk about something that unites us all as conservatives, and that is the craziness that's going on at the border.
00:02:13.880 We're going to talk at the end of the episode with Jason Buttrell. He's the researcher for Glenn Beck, and we're going to talk about this crazy documentary that is available for Blaze subscribers right now on Colony Ridge,
00:02:24.740 this huge development in Texas that is targeting illegal migrants in other countries, telling them to come here into Texas and to live in this very affordable development.
00:02:34.900 But there is even more than that to this story, and so we'll be talking about that in relation to the main topic of today's episode,
00:02:43.380 which is what's going on at the Texas border thanks to the Biden administration and the SCOTUS ruling from yesterday.
00:02:50.860 So the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday sided with the Biden administration in a case involving roughly 30 miles of razor wire fence along Texas's border with Mexico,
00:03:01.300 granting an emergency appeal which allows Border Patrol agents to cut the razor wire that Texas had installed along the border near Eagle Pass, Texas, while the litigation continues.
00:03:14.920 So it could be ultimately that Texas is that Texas is that Texas is right to put this razor wire in place, is established, is recognized.
00:03:23.380 But while litigation is going on, the Supreme Court ruled, oh, yeah, the Biden administration can go and tear it down.
00:03:30.980 A federal judge initially ruled in favor of the Biden administration, but then a decision by the Fifth Circuit,
00:03:36.860 U.S. Court of Appeals reversed that decision last month.
00:03:40.220 And then the Biden administration tried to try to appeal again to the Supreme Court.
00:03:47.420 The Biden administration argued that the wire impedes Border Patrol agents from reaching migrants as they cross the river and that in any case,
00:03:54.000 federal immigration laws trump Texas's own efforts to stem the flow of migrants into the country.
00:04:02.760 This is not the first time the Biden administration has tried to inhibit Texas from securing its own borders.
00:04:08.820 They've also said you can't use the buoys and the Rio Grande.
00:04:12.540 Now you can't use the razor wire.
00:04:14.360 They already can't use very much force at all.
00:04:18.060 They really just have to help migrants come into the country.
00:04:22.040 There's really not much that they can do.
00:04:24.020 Most people don't know that even the National Guard, they're not able to use fatal force.
00:04:29.400 So even if they're watching the cartels traffic people across the border, there's really nothing that they can do about it.
00:04:37.020 They are there to help bring the migrants across.
00:04:41.060 And of course, the hope is that you can deport people once they get there.
00:04:46.340 But even that process is very difficult.
00:04:49.000 I think a misunderstanding that people have is that everyone coming to the border,
00:04:52.580 they're all these desperate, destitute migrants that are running for their lives.
00:04:57.040 They're seeking asylum.
00:04:58.020 They're all refugees.
00:04:58.900 That is not the case.
00:05:00.440 Most of these people have some kind of resources.
00:05:02.720 They're paying the cartels thousands of dollars to get across the border.
00:05:07.500 It incentivizes trafficking, human trafficking, sex trafficking, child sex trafficking.
00:05:12.160 It incentivizes drug trafficking, gun trafficking.
00:05:15.020 It incentivizes chaos and evil.
00:05:17.460 It is bad for the countries from which these people are leaving.
00:05:20.340 It is bad for the people at the border.
00:05:21.860 It's bad for the citizens of the United States.
00:05:24.540 And gosh, Christian women in particular, they get really caught up on this.
00:05:28.880 They get really tripped up, believing that the Bible's call for us to love the foreigner
00:05:35.980 means that we must allow open borders, that we cannot enforce any kind of legal barrier
00:05:41.720 at the border because that is rude, that is evil, that is wicked.
00:05:46.660 And because these people are made in the image of God, basically, we are not allowed to enforce
00:05:51.420 any kind of border or immigration law.
00:05:54.260 But of course, that is allowing your brain to be turned to oatmeal.
00:05:58.100 That, of course, is not right.
00:06:00.520 That's not true.
00:06:01.240 That's not good.
00:06:01.880 That's not righteous.
00:06:03.740 A country must be sovereign.
00:06:05.700 And in order to be sovereign so it can protect the right and the well-being of its citizens,
00:06:09.720 it has to have a border.
00:06:11.000 And in order to have a border, you have to enforce the border.
00:06:13.440 You have to have laws.
00:06:14.920 You have to have a prohibition on people illegally entering the country.
00:06:20.380 So Christian women, I think, are empathy-shamed.
00:06:35.140 They're empathy-bullied into being liberal on immigration, saying, you know, we have to
00:06:40.620 be welcoming to these people because they are poor and destitute and the Bible commands
00:06:45.800 us to love the foreigner.
00:06:47.600 Look, the Bible also talks about the importance of being able to protect a city with walls.
00:06:56.740 A man without self-control is like a city without walls.
00:07:00.540 And that is not a commandment to build walls around a country.
00:07:04.320 But it does speak to the principle that not having protective borders, not having a wall,
00:07:12.680 whether that is an actual physical wall or just some kind of border enforcement, that
00:07:19.420 it causes chaos, that it makes the people inside the country vulnerable.
00:07:24.920 Obviously, you know the story of Nehemiah and the wall that was built to protect God's
00:07:33.240 people.
00:07:33.800 There is actually no principle whatsoever that is found in Scripture that would say that
00:07:40.060 having a border, that having a wall, that having barbed wire, that having buoys in order
00:07:45.700 to protect the citizenry of a country is evil or wrong or bad or lacking in compassion.
00:07:51.880 It really is just a result of people's minds being turned to mush.
00:07:57.360 And it is an inability to see things as they are, that mass migration, illegal migration,
00:08:05.320 while it may benefit some people, it is bad.
00:08:08.580 It's bad for the world.
00:08:09.920 It's bad for the people migrating.
00:08:11.700 It's bad for the poor people at the border on both sides of the border.
00:08:15.760 It's great for the cartels.
00:08:17.020 It's great for the most wicked people in the world, the most bloodthirsty people in the
00:08:21.280 world.
00:08:21.520 It's great for the rapists and the human traffickers and the drug smugglers at the border.
00:08:28.160 It's awesome for them.
00:08:29.280 It's awesome for the corrupt people in government who are lining their pockets because of how
00:08:35.760 the cartels are making their money through the trafficking across our poorest border.
00:08:41.260 It's awesome for them.
00:08:42.500 It's bad for everyone else.
00:08:43.940 Um, and so it is actually not compassionate.
00:08:46.860 It's not loving.
00:08:47.600 It's not empathetic whatsoever to, uh, to advocate for open borders or porous borders.
00:08:55.080 And here's also what I ask, what I ask those who say, uh, you know, it's just inhumane.
00:09:01.340 It's inhumane to allow this razor wire.
00:09:03.640 It's inhumane to allow these booze.
00:09:05.280 It's inhumane to do X, Y, Z to protect the border.
00:09:09.800 I want to know, okay, what, what immigration enforcement do you support?
00:09:15.900 What, what method for protecting the border do you think it's humane?
00:09:20.960 Like, should we just have people standing there saying, please do not enter?
00:09:28.180 It would be awesome if you turned around.
00:09:30.260 Oh, please.
00:09:30.800 Oh, please.
00:09:31.460 Can you not come in illegally?
00:09:33.800 Like, do you think that we should be able to enforce our borders at all?
00:09:37.020 Well, and most of them will say, well, yeah, I think so.
00:09:40.820 Most of these Christians wouldn't say that they actually advocate for open borders.
00:09:44.740 They wouldn't call themselves communists, although that is a completely communist radical position
00:09:49.360 to say that we should not have borders, but they wouldn't call themselves that.
00:09:52.720 Some might even say, oh, no, I'm a Christian conservative too.
00:09:55.620 I love America.
00:09:56.840 Not so fast.
00:09:58.080 Not really.
00:09:58.660 I'm not saying that you're not a Christian, but you have no conservative values to speak
00:10:02.380 of and you have no patriotism to speak of if you believe that we do not have a right
00:10:07.800 to enforce our borders because you don't believe that we are a legitimate sovereign
00:10:11.960 country.
00:10:13.280 Again, a government cannot protect the rights of its citizens by enforcing the law if it
00:10:18.040 is not a sovereign country.
00:10:19.120 And in order to be a sovereign country, you have to have borders.
00:10:21.340 So tell me if you are not open borders, but you just say the razor wire is too mean,
00:10:26.020 the buoys are too mean.
00:10:27.360 Tell me, what's your, what is your suggestion?
00:10:30.940 What's your method?
00:10:31.660 What do you think is the best way to protect the border?
00:10:34.240 And for those who say, oh, deporting migrants, it is so inhumane.
00:10:38.680 It's wrong.
00:10:39.520 It's, it lacks compassion and empathy and Christlikeness and whatever.
00:10:43.080 You're for the sanctuary cities that we have in the country that refuse to comply with ICE.
00:10:48.140 The ICE, when ICE wants to deport the violent criminals that are here illegally, these sanctuary
00:10:53.660 cities say, no, we're going to protect them.
00:10:55.400 We're going to release them from custody.
00:10:56.840 And then we're going to make it really difficult for you to find them.
00:10:59.340 For the Christians who support something like, who support those sanctuary cities, think it's
00:11:04.420 wrong to deport.
00:11:05.900 Like, do you think that there is any limitation on immigration that we should have?
00:11:09.780 Do you think that we should be able to look at background checks?
00:11:12.660 Do you think that we should be able to look at criminal history?
00:11:15.020 Do you think that we should be able to turn anyone away?
00:11:16.960 Or do you think it is justification enough for someone to come to the border and say, I
00:11:21.480 come from a poor country.
00:11:22.500 I want a better life.
00:11:23.340 Can I please come in here?
00:11:24.840 Do you think that we should be able to allow everyone in who says that no matter what?
00:11:29.320 No matter if they're a terrorist, no matter if they are a sexually abusing pedophile, no
00:11:35.120 matter if they are a member of the cartel.
00:11:37.520 Do you think that the United States has any legitimate right to turn people away or to deport
00:11:42.680 people?
00:11:43.960 If so, OK, let's talk about the methods then, because apparently you think ICE is evil.
00:11:48.980 Apparently you think deportation is evil.
00:11:51.120 Apparently you think razor wire is evil.
00:11:53.580 I mean, do you remember that story of the Haitian migrants that were crossing the border illegally
00:11:58.840 and border patrol on horses?
00:12:01.120 They were trying to catch them because that is their job.
00:12:05.120 And there was this picture that went around of the border patrol agent on the horse, like
00:12:10.960 grabbing the shirt of a Haitian migrant in the evangelical world, lost it.
00:12:16.100 They lost it.
00:12:17.000 This is racism.
00:12:18.060 This is slave patrol.
00:12:19.540 This is just inhumane.
00:12:20.940 I talked to one of the people who shared this.
00:12:23.800 She would say that she is a Christian conservative.
00:12:26.020 And I had a respectful back and forth with her.
00:12:28.780 But I'm like, what?
00:12:31.220 What are they supposed to do?
00:12:33.140 They're not allowed to grab the shirts of illegal immigrants.
00:12:35.860 They're not allowed to do anything to prevent them from coming over.
00:12:40.140 What is what is the right thing here?
00:12:41.940 How do you know this is racism and you are perpetuating this false narrative that is going
00:12:46.720 to ruin the life of this border patrol agent who was just doing his job?
00:12:49.820 He is a human, too.
00:12:50.680 But this is what I mean by toxic empathy, by empathy shaming, empathy bullying, empathy
00:12:54.880 manipulation.
00:12:56.320 Christians especially are vulnerable to this.
00:12:58.540 And we allow our emotions to lead rather than thinking, what's the truth about this situation?
00:13:04.920 Is it important to have borders?
00:13:06.360 How do we enforce those borders?
00:13:07.720 What does that actually look like?
00:13:09.980 Yeah, that is going to mean that some people who want to come here for a better life don't
00:13:14.040 get to come here.
00:13:15.620 And it's crazy because I think a lot of the Christians who would say, oh, gosh, America
00:13:21.740 is just so mean because we don't allow everyone to come here who wants to come here.
00:13:25.020 Like they wouldn't say that about any other country, like if Zimbabwe was like, yeah, I'm
00:13:29.140 sorry, we don't want everyone from America to come here because that's going to change
00:13:32.940 what our country looks like.
00:13:34.280 We have to be able to protect ourselves.
00:13:35.800 We have to be able to protect our borders.
00:13:37.960 And we don't want everyone to come here who wants to come here.
00:13:40.940 I think that everyone in the United States who is against our border and our laws would
00:13:45.260 say, yeah, Zimbabwe.
00:13:46.560 Yeah, Kenya.
00:13:47.840 Like you have a right to do that.
00:13:49.520 Good job.
00:13:50.220 Good for you.
00:13:51.180 You protect your land.
00:13:52.400 You protect your culture.
00:13:53.600 You protect your sovereignty.
00:13:54.800 That's what you have to do.
00:13:56.220 But for some reason, when America does it, when Western countries does it, we don't have
00:14:01.060 the legitimate right to do that.
00:14:02.760 We're white supremacists.
00:14:03.960 We're racist.
00:14:04.480 We're bigoted.
00:14:05.200 We're evil.
00:14:06.140 We're wrong.
00:14:07.160 We have to apply Old Testament principles of allowing the foreigner in on our nation,
00:14:14.400 but not on others.
00:14:15.060 And by the way, that's a total misinterpretation of loving the foreigner.
00:14:18.500 That is not a free pass for illegal immigration at all.
00:14:22.660 Even in context, when you're looking at the command in the Old Testament for Israel to love
00:14:28.080 the foreigner, and if you look at how the asylum seeker or how the foreigner had to interact
00:14:34.160 with Israel, they had to completely follow Israel's laws in Israel's customs, in Israel's
00:14:42.660 traditions.
00:14:43.100 They weren't just allowed a free pass to come in and live however they want to.
00:14:50.680 Actually, if we enforced the laws that Israel had in America today, some of the same people
00:14:55.620 saying, oh, we have to love the foreigner and open the border would say that those laws were
00:14:59.560 inhumane and not quite compassionate enough.
00:15:02.660 And so this is an issue that I just see trip up a lot of Christians.
00:15:07.040 It's good to have compassion for people who are in destitute situations.
00:15:12.960 Gosh, what a privilege and what a gift it is to be able to live in the United States.
00:15:17.800 Thank you, Lord, for that grace.
00:15:19.600 It's not something that any of us can take credit for.
00:15:22.480 And we can advocate for common sense legal immigration policies, and we can come to the
00:15:30.000 table and debate what's right or wrong about that, about those policies.
00:15:34.560 But the position that any enforcement, like razor wire, any enforcement of our borders
00:15:41.020 is wrong and inhumane and un-Christlike, it's just silly.
00:15:43.740 It's a very silly, naive position.
00:15:46.380 And again, it's unhelpful.
00:15:47.940 It hurts the very people that you say that you're trying to help.
00:15:51.280 Some people are stunned by this decision, by the Supreme Court.
00:15:55.480 And of course, they are disappointed that Justice Amy Coney Barrett sided with the liberals on
00:16:00.200 this.
00:16:00.540 And so did Justice Roberts.
00:16:02.140 That's not completely unheard of.
00:16:03.440 That only happens, by the way, on the conservative side.
00:16:06.260 You always know which side the liberal justices are going to fall on because they follow ideology,
00:16:10.980 whereas the conservative justices actually follow the Constitution and the law.
00:16:16.540 And so that means that there's going to be disagreement.
00:16:18.560 There's going to be disagreement on interpretation.
00:16:20.500 So that means Barrett, Kavanaugh, Roberts, they will sometimes go on the more liberal side,
00:16:26.640 even though I think that they're completely wrong.
00:16:28.120 I think they're interpreting the Constitution and the law incorrectly, but you're going
00:16:32.560 to get some disagreement there.
00:16:33.800 You're going to get some diversity of views there, whereas on the progressive side of the
00:16:37.860 bench, you're never, ever going to get diversity of views.
00:16:40.000 They're always going to just follow ideology, Democrat Party platform.
00:16:43.640 So Amy Coney Barrett, Roberts, they sided with the liberals saying, yes, the Biden administration
00:16:49.920 has the ability to cut through this razor wire and just allow illegal migrants to come in.
00:16:56.920 This is what they have been trying to do and have been effectively doing for the past few
00:17:01.540 months.
00:17:01.860 Here's a video of the Biden administration last year lifting up this razor wire so illegal
00:17:07.060 migrants could just walk on through.
00:17:21.260 Yeah, that's insane.
00:17:22.700 And it just makes you wonder why.
00:17:24.940 Why?
00:17:25.680 Right.
00:17:25.920 Like, why does the Biden administration want illegal immigrants to come into the country?
00:17:32.720 Most of them are men, military aged men.
00:17:35.740 What is it for?
00:17:37.060 Is it for votes or is it for something a lot more nefarious?
00:17:41.680 It is certainly an open society agenda that is being pushed by people at the World Economic
00:17:49.100 Forum who do not believe in a nation's sovereignty, who hate the United States, see the United States
00:17:54.660 as the enemy to, I know this is going to sound conspiratorial, but it's just, it's true.
00:18:00.100 If you've listened to any of my episodes with Justin Haskins, you know that this is true.
00:18:03.480 They see the United States and any last vestige of Western civilization as an obstacle to one
00:18:15.400 world government.
00:18:16.880 Again, I know you say one world government.
00:18:18.700 You're like, oh, that's just a conspiracy.
00:18:20.380 But of course, that's what they want.
00:18:21.740 They want to rule the world through the UN and the WHO and the and the WEF.
00:18:27.840 That's they're not even they don't even hide that like it's not even coded anymore.
00:18:31.740 It's just what they say when they meet at Davos.
00:18:34.680 That's what they want.
00:18:35.720 And so it is important for them.
00:18:39.560 It's important for them to import mass amounts of people that don't have American values,
00:18:44.880 that don't believe in a representative democracy like the United States, that don't believe in
00:18:51.080 liberty, that don't believe in freedom the way that we do, that don't have ties to American
00:18:56.800 history and our founding the way that we do.
00:18:58.700 That is a major inhibition.
00:19:01.840 The values that we have, it's a major inhibition to people at the WEF, of course, and Biden
00:19:07.520 is a part of that.
00:19:08.480 He's been a part of that.
00:19:09.480 And it's not just the Democratic Party.
00:19:11.040 There are plenty of people in the Republican Party who have been for that as well.
00:19:15.740 So Texas is trying to fight back against this.
00:19:18.420 New Texas law is set to take effect in March, which would allow all law enforcement in the
00:19:23.160 state to arrest migrants who cross the border illegally.
00:19:25.720 The Justice Department, again, has sued, arguing that the law would overstep on the federal
00:19:29.600 government's authority over immigration.
00:19:31.980 Texas is also in court fighting to keep a floating barrier of buoys and the Rio Grande
00:19:36.800 to prevent migrants from crossing.
00:19:38.380 Federal government does not want that.
00:19:42.180 Texas has also been busting migrants from the border to Democrat-led cities across the
00:19:46.340 U.S., some of which are trying to stop or reroute the arrivals.
00:19:49.740 They've sent over 12,000 migrants to D.C. since April of 2022.
00:19:54.320 37,000 migrants to New York City since then, 31,000 to Chicago, 3,400 to Philadelphia, 15,000,
00:20:01.940 almost 16,000 to Denver, and 1,500 to L.A.
00:20:06.540 And this is a move that I support because all these sanctuary cities who say that people in
00:20:11.980 Texas and Arizona and California at the border, they should just deal with it.
00:20:16.280 They should just deal with their property being ransacked, deal with the chaos and the crime
00:20:20.420 that is exacerbated and enabled because of mass illegal immigration.
00:20:25.280 Now they get a taste of it.
00:20:26.880 Martha's Vineyard got a taste of it.
00:20:28.840 These cities who pointed their fingers, wagged their fingers at people in Texas, now they
00:20:33.900 get a taste of the policies that they voted for.
00:20:36.100 And why shouldn't they?
00:20:37.300 Why shouldn't they?
00:20:38.580 They voted for the sanctuary city.
00:20:40.420 They voted for illegal immigration.
00:20:42.160 They wagged their fingers at Donald Trump and cried when he said, yeah, we should build a
00:20:48.800 wall and some of these people that are coming in are rapists and drug lords and terrible people.
00:20:53.320 They said, oh, he's so evil and bigoted.
00:20:55.840 All right, then take them.
00:20:58.100 Take them.
00:21:00.260 And see how you like the cultural enrichment.
00:21:03.580 If diversity is our strength, then y'all are about to get a lot stronger.
00:21:07.040 Why should you be whining about it at all?
00:21:09.040 So when New York, for example, says, sorry, high schoolers, you've got to go virtual.
00:21:16.260 Sorry, homeless people, homeless citizens of the United States.
00:21:20.120 These homeless shelters are being emptied out.
00:21:22.120 These high schools are being emptied out.
00:21:24.780 All of these shelters, abuse shelters, they're going to be emptied out because we've got to
00:21:28.660 house migrants.
00:21:30.180 The voters of that state should say, yeah, we asked for this.
00:21:33.440 Great.
00:21:33.980 This is what we wanted, right?
00:21:36.960 This is another problem that I have with people saying, oh, America first is wrong.
00:21:41.560 America first is so mean.
00:21:42.940 America first is not biblical.
00:21:44.720 No, America first is the responsibility of the American government.
00:21:49.040 Yeah.
00:21:50.080 Kenya first is the responsibility of the Kenyan government.
00:21:52.720 France first is the responsibility of the French government.
00:21:55.380 That's how it's supposed to work.
00:21:56.600 That is compassionate.
00:21:57.640 That is responsible.
00:21:58.520 That is right.
00:21:59.100 That is righteous.
00:21:59.860 Absolutely.
00:22:00.460 God gave us nations.
00:22:01.680 God gave us borders.
00:22:02.820 God gave us order.
00:22:03.800 He is a God of order.
00:22:05.140 He is not a God of confusion and chaos.
00:22:07.240 That's Satan who loves those things.
00:22:09.560 And so in order to protect rights, the rights that we believe as Americans, we have been
00:22:15.760 given by our creator.
00:22:19.280 You have to have a government that puts the needs and the well-being and the rights of
00:22:23.780 its citizens first.
00:22:24.900 That means not allowing illegal migrants in the country, period.
00:22:30.080 You can have legal means for people to seek asylum and to claim refugee status.
00:22:37.700 That does not mean that we have to open our borders.
00:22:40.520 We've had hundreds of thousands, hundreds of thousands of these people pouring in.
00:22:44.320 Unprecedented rates.
00:22:45.180 It's really scary.
00:22:45.860 We don't know who these people are, what they're going to do.
00:22:47.860 We're importing the worst ethnic and national and religious conflicts in the world, right
00:22:57.160 here in the United States.
00:23:09.920 All right.
00:23:10.860 So let me just read you a couple things from Bill Malugan.
00:23:17.300 Bill Malugan is a reporter from Fox News, and he has been reporting on the border for
00:23:25.460 a long time.
00:23:26.200 He does absolutely excellent work bringing us the stories of what's happening there, videos,
00:23:31.240 pictures of what's happening there, just so we can see the massive scale of migration
00:23:36.340 at the border and how our government allows it and even incentivizes it by saying, you
00:23:42.140 can come here, you can get all this free stuff, and don't worry, we're not going to deport
00:23:46.120 you.
00:23:46.480 Here's what happens.
00:23:47.700 Here's what happens with illegal immigration.
00:23:49.980 Here's what happens in these sanctuary cities that refuses to comply with ICE.
00:23:53.560 Here's a story.
00:23:54.240 This is one of many, many, many stories that happens every year.
00:23:57.940 This is from, let's see, he reported this a couple days ago.
00:24:00.860 A Honduran illegal immigrant charged with sexual abuse and carnal knowledge of a child in Virginia,
00:24:06.340 was released from Fairfax County Jail.
00:24:08.280 Fairfax County Jail is very liberal, or Fairfax County is very liberal.
00:24:11.940 Fairfax County Jail, without notice after the sanctuary jurisdiction, ignored ICE's detainer
00:24:16.660 request.
00:24:17.640 He then assaulted an ICE agent when they found and arrested him at his residence in Springfield,
00:24:23.840 Virginia, ICE says.
00:24:25.960 And here is another story, because again, this is just extremely common.
00:24:32.260 You can follow him on Twitter, and you'll be able to see all these stories that he tells
00:24:36.420 often.
00:24:37.700 An illegal immigrant from Haiti charged with raping a developmentally disabled person in
00:24:42.060 Boston was released from jail into the community after the sanctuary jurisdiction in Dorchester
00:24:46.840 refused to honor ICE's detainer request.
00:24:50.480 ICE in Boston just found and rearrested him, and they call the local decision to release him
00:24:55.740 without notice disturbing.
00:24:58.180 He entered at a port of entry in Brownsville, Texas in December 2022, where he was deemed
00:25:04.960 inadmissible and released into the U.S. with a future court date.
00:25:09.520 And then he raped, assaulted a developmentally disabled person in Boston.
00:25:15.080 Just a reminder that every single crime, every single crime that is committed by an illegal
00:25:22.400 migrant is preventable.
00:25:24.060 That's why they're different from crimes committed by citizens.
00:25:27.200 Yes, of course, citizens commit crimes.
00:25:29.040 We know that.
00:25:30.200 But the crimes committed by illegal immigrants are 100% preventable through border enforcement,
00:25:39.120 through legal enforcement.
00:25:41.060 And again, the people who say, oh, it's just so inhumane to put razor wire up.
00:25:46.820 Really?
00:25:47.680 Do you think it's humane to allow someone in that then rapes a special needs person in
00:25:52.880 Boston?
00:25:53.840 Do you think it's humane for the sanctuary city to say, oh, in the name of social justice
00:25:57.740 and compassion, we're going to release this person so they can rape more people?
00:26:01.820 It's evil.
00:26:02.960 It's evil.
00:26:03.840 It is evil to advocate for this stuff.
00:26:05.840 And it's evil to advocate for it, especially in the name of Christianity.
00:26:10.160 In the name of empathy.
00:26:11.820 It's really bad.
00:26:13.380 All right.
00:26:14.740 I want to talk to Jason Buttrell now about this documentary about Colony Ridge.
00:26:19.380 It's just absolutely insane what is happening there.
00:26:22.080 And it just gives us a little bit of a it gives us a little bit of a picture into just
00:26:28.060 what is happening and why, like why these people are coming, who's reaching out to them,
00:26:33.820 who's telling them that they can come here?
00:26:35.600 Um, how are they getting that message and who is taking care of them once they are here?
00:26:41.860 Uh, here is a clip, uh, from the documentary of Glenn and Jason, um, flying over this community
00:26:50.700 just to give you an idea of how vast this is.
00:26:54.500 This is Sot One.
00:26:55.400 Look at the size of this.
00:26:59.220 It's huge.
00:27:00.020 I mean, it almost goes to the horizon.
00:27:02.320 And that is not, we're not seeing the ends of it.
00:27:05.360 That's just the develops.
00:27:07.040 Yes.
00:27:08.280 By the time Joe Biden's out of office, there'll be about 10 million new people in here.
00:27:13.420 We don't know who they are.
00:27:15.460 Uh, 10 million people coming across our border.
00:27:17.440 If, if you have 10 million people coming in, where are they living?
00:27:24.540 You have to have things like this.
00:27:27.160 You have to build whole communities.
00:27:29.940 Again, the size of Miami.
00:27:32.380 But look how many houses are yet to be built here.
00:27:37.120 Insane.
00:27:37.840 Insane.
00:27:38.780 All right.
00:27:39.740 Uh, without further ado, here is Jason Buttrell.
00:27:42.580 Jason, thanks so much for taking the time to join me.
00:27:49.960 I appreciate it.
00:27:51.120 Thanks for having me.
00:27:51.760 Yeah, of course.
00:27:52.440 Okay.
00:27:52.680 Let's talk about this wild documentary about Colony Ridge.
00:27:56.960 Just tell us, what is Colony Ridge?
00:27:59.320 Colony Ridge is this development, uh, down just a few miles, uh, away from Houston, like
00:28:04.020 downtown Houston.
00:28:04.640 So if you're like in, like close to the area of Colony Ridge, you can see the high rises
00:28:08.640 from Houston.
00:28:09.300 It's really close.
00:28:09.800 Um, but there's this development that's, it's, I can't remember how many thousands of
00:28:13.920 acres it is.
00:28:14.960 Thousands of thousands of acres.
00:28:16.120 And it hit the, the news cycle.
00:28:18.580 What was that like?
00:28:19.380 I'm sure you saw it.
00:28:20.060 It was like several months ago.
00:28:20.800 I think the Daily Wire did something on it.
00:28:22.400 The New York Post did something on it.
00:28:24.420 And they were talking about how the developer was specifically targeting, um, non-citizens.
00:28:31.300 Um, come over to the United States.
00:28:32.860 You know, we got this land.
00:28:34.660 You can build your, you know, your dream home.
00:28:36.540 It's the American dream.
00:28:37.860 Uh, right here, right next to Houston.
00:28:40.820 How was, how was the developer communicating that?
00:28:43.840 So there was some controversy on that.
00:28:46.060 Uh, of course, if you ask him and we did ask him in the documentary that, you know, he's
00:28:50.800 like, well, I'm not, I'm not targeting people in other countries.
00:28:53.260 Um, he, for, you know, in his words, uh, you know, the, uh, Hispanics were very, you know,
00:28:59.100 good on paying their bills.
00:29:00.260 He, uh, he wanted to provide like an entry level, you know, community, he's, you know,
00:29:05.120 he's a humanitarian, you know, that's how he was putting it off.
00:29:07.220 You know, I'm here for them.
00:29:09.200 Um, so he would say, I wasn't targeting them specifically.
00:29:12.760 Well, in the doc, you'll see, we, we talked to some people, uh, that actually answered some
00:29:17.380 of these calls and they pointed out very specifically, there's social media people in South American
00:29:22.340 countries, places like Columbia, that's just for them.
00:29:25.860 Okay.
00:29:26.340 And, and they'll have like, you know, if you've, if you've seen like, I don't know, like, uh,
00:29:30.880 like South American, like advertisements for like car dealerships and stuff, they do it
00:29:34.040 in a very like similar way.
00:29:35.380 They've got a really cute, pretty girl and you know, she grabs all the attention and she's
00:29:40.180 like, yeah, you know, just come over here, blah, blah, you know, it's, it's, you know,
00:29:42.500 it's, it's, it's an amazing opportunity and they usually will say, you know, make your
00:29:47.180 home in America or something like that.
00:29:49.580 It's clearly directed at people like that.
00:29:51.680 Okay.
00:29:51.700 So this developer and what's his name?
00:29:54.180 John Harris.
00:29:55.640 And so he is using, at least in part, he's usually using social media and geo-targeting
00:30:03.300 people in these countries who might be interested in coming here, putting up social media advertisements,
00:30:09.380 targeted posts saying, Oh, come on over to Texas.
00:30:12.460 Come on over to Colony Ridge.
00:30:13.980 We'll make it super easy for you to live here.
00:30:16.560 That's correct.
00:30:17.460 And again, if you talk to him, he's just the good guy in this.
00:30:21.980 Anyone else that's concerned about it.
00:30:23.560 He's like George Bailey from It's a Wonderful Life.
00:30:25.760 Who is exactly right, Tally.
00:30:27.680 And Glenn even mentions that in an interview.
00:30:29.560 He's like, who are you in It's a Wonderful Life?
00:30:31.640 And he's like, no, I'm not George Bailey.
00:30:33.040 Oh, wow.
00:30:34.220 But yeah, so it's, it's, it's, it's really crazy.
00:30:37.620 You kind of get, I got multiple things off this documentary.
00:30:41.040 So one, the people that are, they claim to just, you know, they're the, the compassionate
00:30:46.160 ones, you know, for immigration.
00:30:47.420 They want to give people a better life.
00:30:49.480 Really?
00:30:50.120 Is, is, is that the case?
00:30:51.660 You know, because this guy actually seems like he's targeting the people that cannot fight
00:30:57.260 him back.
00:30:58.520 And Allie, I interviewed this.
00:31:00.780 It's a gut-wrenching interview where I talked to a woman that, so she's actually legal.
00:31:05.820 She's a United States citizen.
00:31:06.840 She's one of the only United States citizens that we talked to there.
00:31:09.860 And she was in tears because she was just about to get foreclosed on in our house.
00:31:14.500 And the situation she described was there's this land, but it's not developed at all.
00:31:20.240 There's all these extra fees that you never knew about that you would have to, you know,
00:31:24.100 put into your home.
00:31:25.060 For instance, it floods like crazy there.
00:31:27.260 Of course, when you talk to the developer, it's not a floodplain.
00:31:30.400 There's isolated incidents, but it's not the norm.
00:31:32.940 Well, she said this happens basically every time it rains over there.
00:31:36.420 And every time it would rain, all the rain would come through and wash out all of the
00:31:40.460 property around her home.
00:31:42.020 And they would have to pay upwards of like $400 per truck full of like, you know, dirt
00:31:46.900 and stuff to fill all that back in.
00:31:48.860 She's like, you can't pay for that.
00:31:50.840 And it's just constant.
00:31:51.880 Every time it rains, nonstop, nonstop.
00:31:53.380 So now they're behind on their mortgage.
00:31:55.520 I'm not sure if she has been foreclosed on at this point.
00:31:58.660 She was on the verge of it being foreclosed on when we spoke to her back in December.
00:32:01.840 But she is one of the lucky ones.
00:32:04.900 And I say that kind of oddly because she so she's unlucky for, you know, getting falling
00:32:11.060 for this trap here in this in this development.
00:32:13.440 But she's lucky because she is a citizen and she can fight the developer on these things.
00:32:18.580 She can take him to court.
00:32:20.100 But she was like the rest of the rest of the people he targets and her opinion very specifically,
00:32:25.760 they're not going to go to the courts.
00:32:27.800 They can't.
00:32:28.480 They can't because they're going to get deported.
00:32:30.900 OK, so he's less like George Bailey and more like Potter in this situation.
00:32:34.540 He's making basically Potter Town.
00:32:36.460 He's making a bunch of these.
00:32:38.160 Maybe they look like nice new development, new construction houses.
00:32:42.320 But he knows that they're maybe on bad foundation and a bad area.
00:32:46.700 These he's going to make a quick buck off of these people by charging them.
00:32:50.300 I think it was like a thousand dollars.
00:32:51.920 And then when their property is destroyed, they're not going to be able to sue them.
00:32:57.780 They're not going to be able to fight back.
00:32:59.560 We have a clip of your wife actually posing as someone who wanted to purchase a house.
00:33:06.480 And if you're watching on YouTube, you'll be able to see the English translation at the
00:33:11.240 bottom of the screen.
00:33:12.060 If you're just listening to this, then we will do the translating for you after this clip.
00:33:16.120 But here is Jason's wife calling this development and saying, yeah, I would like to purchase
00:33:23.540 a home, but I'm illegal.
00:33:25.060 Is that OK?
00:33:26.040 Here it is.
00:33:26.560 ¿Cuánto dinero necesitaría y cuánto cuesta?
00:33:30.120 Mira, el enganche normalmente son mil dólares.
00:33:32.760 Mil dólares?
00:33:34.240 Ah, sí, sí.
00:33:35.960 ¿Sí puedo ir para allá?
00:33:37.280 Entonces, mira.
00:33:51.260 So, I qualify.
00:33:53.660 I don't need anything but my passport and any other type of ID, no documents.
00:33:59.080 It's not necessary to have documents.
00:34:01.080 It's not necessary to have anything as long as you have $1,000 down.
00:34:06.780 $1,000 down, foreign passport, and even a foreign ID.
00:34:10.900 Exactly.
00:34:11.680 I don't have to be legal.
00:34:12.880 They said that I'm going to be closing the 22nd of December.
00:34:17.060 So, I'm qualified.
00:34:18.500 I'm getting a land because I have my $1,000.
00:34:21.000 You're a landowner.
00:34:22.320 Yes, finally.
00:34:26.220 OK, and so we couldn't play the entirety of this clip for everyone, but basically, she
00:34:32.380 said, oh, yeah, I'm illegal.
00:34:34.900 Is that a problem?
00:34:36.060 Can I still close?
00:34:37.080 The other person said, oh, don't worry.
00:34:39.020 We do the financing in-house.
00:34:40.700 That's no problem.
00:34:41.900 You don't have to be a citizen.
00:34:43.640 All you need is $1,000, and we'll be able to close before Christmas.
00:34:47.800 Obviously, this was a couple months ago.
00:34:50.300 Now, all right.
00:34:51.540 I guess that that was super easy.
00:34:53.920 We saw the phone call.
00:34:55.700 I mean, there were no hurdles that she had to jump over besides that $1,000, and I'm guessing
00:35:00.480 that's what's happening across the board.
00:35:02.060 Yep, all across the board.
00:35:03.860 So, you know, there are a large amount that can somehow make it work, and they'll stay
00:35:08.900 there for a while, several years, and we talked to them and met them, and by and large,
00:35:13.280 they're pretty happy about it because compared to their situation where they came from, they
00:35:17.500 can actually make it work here.
00:35:19.300 But I think it was, they have more foreclosures in that area, in the Colony Ridge area, than
00:35:25.100 all of the DFW Metroplex.
00:35:27.040 Wow.
00:35:27.820 Absolutely insane.
00:35:28.700 And I think that's what the developer counts on.
00:35:31.140 He counts on...
00:35:31.860 Ugh, that's so evil.
00:35:33.480 So this was kind of the biggest story, Allie, because if you looked at some of the other
00:35:37.140 reports, it was almost like it was, you know, Afghanistan or, you know, Iraq, and it was
00:35:43.140 like a war zone here, and that's not really what we saw.
00:35:45.180 There was crime there.
00:35:46.180 There were things that were bad.
00:35:48.800 But it seemed like, to me, the biggest thing here was a guy claiming to be that he just
00:35:53.540 had the greatest big heart, you know, and it's all about, you know, helping out the
00:35:57.580 migrants and the Hispanic community.
00:35:59.580 When, and the reality of it was, I'll target these people that cannot fight me back.
00:36:05.140 We'll bring them over here.
00:36:06.800 Chances are, because of the foreclosure rate, they're probably going to lose the place anyway.
00:36:10.820 But not until they put in a few thousand dollars in building up this land.
00:36:14.940 Then, after they foreclose, I can sell it for even a larger amount to another group of
00:36:19.980 illegals.
00:36:20.680 And the process and the cycle continues and continues.
00:36:23.420 Wow.
00:36:23.760 And does the government of Texas, do they know?
00:36:27.200 Oof.
00:36:28.460 So, yes.
00:36:30.340 I am confused to this day on where that stands.
00:36:34.580 Now, we tried to get an interview with multiple government officials.
00:36:39.960 They did not talk to us.
00:36:42.340 We know, and this is in the documentary, that one of the brothers, the Harris brothers,
00:36:47.380 one of them, not the one we spoke to, but the other one.
00:36:49.980 Had given a, over a million dollar contribution to Governor Abbott.
00:36:54.060 Now, when we asked the developer about this, he didn't really have a good answer for it.
00:36:58.200 And then Glenn, in that interview, asked him, come on, who all is on the take?
00:37:02.700 You know, there's got to be a lot.
00:37:04.200 And I'm just going to save it for the documentary.
00:37:07.520 Watch what his response is.
00:37:09.160 Yeah.
00:37:09.600 It's pretty eye-opening.
00:37:10.960 Yeah.
00:37:11.460 Oh, my goodness.
00:37:12.160 Yes.
00:37:12.380 Everyone absolutely has to go to, it's blazeoriginals.com, right?
00:37:16.480 Yeah.
00:37:16.600 And you've got to watch this whole thing.
00:37:18.760 It is absolutely mind-blowing.
00:37:20.420 So, the Biden administration, their DOJ actually has a lawsuit against Colony Ridge, correct?
00:37:29.140 Yeah.
00:37:29.480 Because of this predatory lending.
00:37:31.160 Exactly what we saw.
00:37:31.900 Yeah, dishonest sales practices.
00:37:34.420 So, at first, when I heard this story, I was thinking, okay, Biden's federal government is behind this, and they actually want this incentive for illegal migrants, illegal immigrants to come over and to live here.
00:37:46.760 Because, of course, we know from the SCOTUS case, they want illegal immigration, and they want the border to be torn down.
00:37:52.960 They certainly don't believe in any inhibition for these people to come over here.
00:37:56.940 But that's not the story here.
00:37:59.860 That's not the story here.
00:38:00.760 The story is the predatory practices of this person who is making a buck off of people who I won't say are completely destitute.
00:38:07.300 If you've got $1,000 to put down, you're not completely destitute.
00:38:10.660 But who are vulnerable enough not to be able to support themselves after they have put down the $1,000, right?
00:38:18.920 Yeah.
00:38:19.040 So, I think that's the main part of the story here.
00:38:21.700 But I think you actually are still on to something with what you previously thought about it.
00:38:25.680 Because I don't see how the federal government does not turn a blind eye on this in some way.
00:38:31.980 They are going after the predatory lending.
00:38:33.960 Because I really don't think they can ignore that anymore.
00:38:37.800 There's got to be a case.
00:38:38.680 I know there's still – I think it's the Texas Senate is still pursuing avenues to go after Colony Ridge.
00:38:45.420 But, I mean, if you fly over – and we did.
00:38:49.360 If you fly over Colony Ridge, you see the vast amount of land space out there.
00:38:54.400 And then you consider the actual numbers of people in these locations.
00:38:58.600 I think in December there was, again, another record-shattering number of illegals that had crossed the border.
00:39:04.280 I think it was around 300,000 last month.
00:39:06.900 Yeah.
00:39:07.180 We're breaking a new record.
00:39:08.480 It's insane.
00:39:09.580 Every year we're breaking a record.
00:39:10.800 That is the new norm is the record-breaking amounts of people coming across.
00:39:14.220 Now, if you think about all those people, you look at that land, that's going to start popping up all over the country.
00:39:20.740 Now, it behooves the government – and put on your tinfoil hat with me for a second, even though I don't think it's needed – but it behooves the government.
00:39:28.000 If you want to change demographics, if you want to go to certain locations where you don't have a stronghold in – Texas, Florida, places like that, solid red state places – just have these communities.
00:39:41.960 Ted Cruz won by a sliver the last time.
00:39:46.260 I think just the amount of people that would be in Colony Ridge in the next couple years after they have some more growth would hand the election over to Beto O'Rourke last time.
00:39:57.380 Yeah.
00:39:57.480 That's how small some of these margins are.
00:40:00.180 Yeah.
00:40:00.740 You can read into that what you want, but I mean, if they want to continue to grab power in locations where they're not going to be able to grab power in the next, say, five to ten years, just keep letting this happen.
00:40:12.360 And it will happen.
00:40:13.260 You know what?
00:40:26.020 This is such a good example of how – I talk a lot about, like, toxic empathy and how empathy is used by the progressive side to get – I say Christian women, but really a lot of different kinds of people – to be on their side in a certain issue.
00:40:42.320 When it comes to immigration, they play upon people's emotions and say, look at these poor people coming from these countries.
00:40:48.360 The most loving thing to do is to tear down the barbed wire, to take away the buoys, to just allow these people to come in because they're all asylum seekers, they say.
00:40:57.680 But that empathy, that form of toxic empathy, inhibits people from seeing the other side of this.
00:41:03.900 The other side is that you are then incentivizing people to make a very dangerous trek, to come here with nothing, and to get preyed upon by bad actors who, of course, are going to exploit their vulnerability and their poverty.
00:41:16.100 And so that's why illegal migration – that's why mass migration is not actually empathetic.
00:41:23.280 It actually hurts the very people that the progressives say that they're trying to help.
00:41:27.640 And this is just one of many examples of that.
00:41:30.760 Oh, yeah.
00:41:31.440 And mass migration.
00:41:32.980 You know, populations are being deliberately moved all over the world right now.
00:41:36.460 And you can go all the way to – I mean, this is WF, World Economic Forum Week.
00:41:40.060 Like, they're one of the biggest pushers on this in league with, like, organizations like the UN that work with the UN's – what is the Office of Migrant Immigration – I can't remember what the actual acronym is.
00:41:55.840 But groups like them, Doctors Without Borders – did you see that muckraker.com disclosure of those maps a couple of weeks ago where they obtain these maps from the UN and from Doctors Without Borders that provide detailed routes starting in Panama.
00:42:10.060 Going all the way up through Mexico with stops with these little logos that show where they can go to bed down for the night, where they can go to get food, where they can get medical assistance, and get all the way up to the border.
00:42:22.880 Now, you know that the international community, all the people that are pushing this, know what happens at the Mexico-U.S. border.
00:42:30.820 Fox News did a report, I believe it was last week or a couple weeks ago, that talked about a shootout at the Arizona-Mexico border that was absolutely insane.
00:42:40.060 I've been to Afghanistan. That's exactly what it sounds like in a war zone. That was a war zone.
00:42:44.640 They talked to some of the cartel people off the record, and they said this is all because of the migration.
00:42:48.820 They said that nobody wants to work in the drug trade anymore because there's too much risk in getting caught.
00:42:54.260 But with all the migrants, we charge $2,000 a head for each migrant to actually be able to – for us to allow them to cross into the United States.
00:43:03.460 The cartels do.
00:43:04.080 The cartels.
00:43:05.080 $2,000 a head.
00:43:06.560 Yeah.
00:43:06.880 In 2021, they made $13 billion.
00:43:10.160 Billion.
00:43:10.760 Billion.
00:43:11.380 Wow.
00:43:11.820 This was before everything got crazy.
00:43:14.720 So now it's way more.
00:43:16.180 Oh my gosh.
00:43:16.840 So this is ramping up.
00:43:18.040 Who is making money off of this?
00:43:19.520 Yeah.
00:43:19.900 Who is getting cut in with the cartels to be able to allow to operate there?
00:43:22.920 Yeah.
00:43:23.400 Of course.
00:43:23.920 These are just obvious questions.
00:43:26.080 And the Mexican government, I mean, they don't really have an incentive to stop it.
00:43:29.180 No.
00:43:29.920 I mean, there – what was it – I think this year, their equivalent of the head of the FBI just got arrested in the United States for working with the cartels.
00:43:38.680 Yeah.
00:43:39.180 A few years before that, their defense secretary also got nailed for that.
00:43:43.700 Yeah.
00:43:44.180 They're all in on it.
00:43:45.440 Right.
00:43:45.820 Who in the United States is in on it?
00:43:47.300 That's what I want to know.
00:43:48.340 Yeah.
00:43:49.180 Allie, I personally really believe that will come out.
00:43:52.240 Yeah.
00:43:52.560 Eventually.
00:43:53.320 Oh, yeah.
00:43:53.680 Well, I don't even know if they're hiding it necessarily.
00:43:57.000 I mean, they're suing – the Biden administration sued the state of Texas to be able to remove barbed wire.
00:44:03.360 I mean, that is like the most innocuous barrier.
00:44:07.720 That's basically – barbed wire buoys is basically the equivalent to saying, please don't.
00:44:14.180 Please don't.
00:44:15.360 Like, it's not guns.
00:44:16.720 You're not using lethal force.
00:44:18.340 You're not even putting your hands.
00:44:19.460 It's just a – it's just a symbol.
00:44:22.700 Of course, it's more than a symbol, but it's a signifier to say, please don't.
00:44:27.260 Right.
00:44:27.400 Okay?
00:44:28.020 And the Biden administration is saying, you can't even do that.
00:44:31.100 You can't even say, please don't.
00:44:32.960 Right.
00:44:33.320 And they're – the only thing the Texas government was doing was providing assistance.
00:44:39.320 Yeah.
00:44:39.580 They were providing help.
00:44:41.200 So if there was nothing else larger going on here, wouldn't the government say, thank you so, so much for all your help?
00:44:48.420 We can use all the help.
00:44:49.620 Well, Biden himself has said he wants to do something about the border, but he said Congress won't give him the money to do it.
00:44:56.080 Well, Texas is saying, and Governor Abbott, we got the money.
00:44:59.360 We'll help you out.
00:45:00.600 Yeah.
00:45:01.020 But they're not letting them.
00:45:02.260 Now, why is that?
00:45:03.280 Yeah.
00:45:03.680 That is absolutely insane.
00:45:05.180 This is a crazy – I don't know what you said on this earlier, but this is such a crazy precedent.
00:45:10.060 Because if I'm – so they didn't give an explanation for why SCOTUS did this.
00:45:16.120 I can only imagine that the argument was on a constitutional, look, this is a federal issue.
00:45:20.860 Yeah.
00:45:21.140 The border is federal.
00:45:22.380 It was.
00:45:23.020 Yeah.
00:45:23.660 So I understand that.
00:45:25.480 But the weird precedent is, has there ever been a case where there's been a federal mandate that they refused to enforce?
00:45:32.960 Yeah.
00:45:33.260 So the state had to step in?
00:45:35.080 Right.
00:45:35.880 Right.
00:45:36.480 I can't think – there probably has been, but I can't think of that.
00:45:39.520 Yeah.
00:45:39.660 So what then does Texas do?
00:45:41.340 Right.
00:45:42.000 They kind of have to hold their ground.
00:45:43.820 So that's basically saying that not only is the federal government declaring that we as a country don't have borders, but you as a state, you don't even have borders.
00:45:51.660 Right.
00:45:51.940 That's essentially what it's saying.
00:45:53.160 You do not have borders.
00:45:54.400 Because a border that's not protected isn't really a border, right?
00:45:57.100 Mm-hmm.
00:45:57.300 Okay, so we're just one with Mexico now.
00:45:59.460 Yeah.
00:46:00.300 It's crazy.
00:46:00.900 I mean, it's crazy.
00:46:01.780 And what the federal government is kind of pushing on this is – you know what the Bubba effect is?
00:46:07.040 Mm-hmm.
00:46:07.780 No.
00:46:08.240 I think I've heard maybe you talk about it.
00:46:10.560 So I probably have.
00:46:11.920 Yeah.
00:46:12.280 So the Bubba effect is when the people that are in charge of enforcing the laws, like the police or the state or the federal government –
00:46:19.660 Oh, yes.
00:46:20.240 When they decide not to do that, then the people feel like they have to step in and do it for them.
00:46:24.940 The Bubba steps in.
00:46:25.200 The Bubba steps in.
00:46:26.100 So what they're kind of – what the federal government is kind of pushing here is a statewide Bubba effect, where if they refuse to do their job, then the state has to come in.
00:46:35.980 Now, if the state is also forbidden from doing the job the federal government refuses to do, what do the people of that state start doing?
00:46:42.660 Yeah.
00:46:43.260 Right.
00:46:43.920 I'm not advocating for that, but that's what this leads to.
00:46:48.080 What are you supposed to do?
00:46:48.920 Right.
00:46:49.360 What are you supposed to do?
00:46:50.560 And I saw Tucker Carlson's tweet who said – he said, okay, so where are the men of Texas?
00:46:55.660 Ah, I don't like that.
00:46:56.720 But, I mean, well, what are the – and my question is, well, what are they supposed to do?
00:47:00.900 You know, what are they supposed to do?
00:47:03.260 Yeah.
00:47:03.440 What are the men of Texas supposed to do?
00:47:05.260 I don't know.
00:47:06.180 I don't know what that looks like.
00:47:07.600 I mean, you think that anyone's going to let just civilians get away with trying to protect the border?
00:47:13.340 It's not going to happen.
00:47:14.560 This is – okay, this is a very important conversation that should be done nationwide on a multiple issues.
00:47:21.920 Yeah.
00:47:22.080 Because – let me just answer that as a man of Texas.
00:47:25.920 I'm a man of a lot of anger that I've had to really get under control since I was a kid, which I have done.
00:47:31.760 But my inner head tells me, go down to the border right now.
00:47:35.400 Go down to the border right now because they're not doing it.
00:47:37.600 This is your home.
00:47:38.360 Defend your home.
00:47:39.300 That's what my inner voice tells me to do.
00:47:41.320 Now, my years of experience have told me to pull back on the reins.
00:47:45.420 Like, hold on there, buddy.
00:47:46.400 But there are – there will be a lot of people that have that notion, you know, that urge.
00:47:52.680 And I didn't agree with Tucker saying that.
00:47:55.360 I agree with a lot of stuff Tucker says.
00:47:56.820 But that just almost seems like you're saying, look at all that gasoline and then flicking your cigarette on it, you know, and sitting back and watching what happens.
00:48:05.260 Well, James Lindsay says that it's a psyop and that the government is trying to push conservative Americans to do something that will then lay the groundwork as January 6th did for the government to take even more control.
00:48:23.420 I mean, that's the day and age we're in.
00:48:27.280 You know, we really have to be on the lookout for things like that because I don't – I mean, the government wants more and more power.
00:48:32.980 How do they get more power?
00:48:33.920 They look at a misstep.
00:48:35.360 Cause chaos.
00:48:36.080 Chaos.
00:48:36.440 Exactly.
00:48:37.180 Use that as a ladder and climb it on up as far as you can.
00:48:40.620 But, I mean, look at the things that we've given up since January 6th.
00:48:43.320 Right.
00:48:43.720 I mean, we have Patriot on steroids where they're going after grandmas, you know.
00:48:48.700 Yeah.
00:48:48.960 Just for the, as in their words, shock and awe effect.
00:48:52.600 Right.
00:48:52.880 That's not the country I want to live in.
00:48:54.260 Right.
00:48:54.540 Where the Department of Justice thinks they have to shock and awe me into line so they can get even more power.
00:48:59.080 Yeah.
00:48:59.540 Right.
00:48:59.940 It's so scary.
00:49:00.920 Let me shock, shock and awe.
00:49:02.540 Now, but not – and it's not just January 6th.
00:49:04.180 It's also pro-life.
00:49:05.940 Pro-life.
00:49:06.520 Advocates.
00:49:07.020 Yep.
00:49:07.240 I mean, thankfully, Mark Hague was acquitted.
00:49:10.220 But he's the Catholic dad that he had the – he had officials, the FBI show up at his house, guns drawn.
00:49:17.540 This dad of seven and in front of his children arrested him.
00:49:21.800 Why?
00:49:22.140 Because he pushed back a pro-abortion protester who was in his 12-year-old son's face harassing him.
00:49:29.940 And the government said, I'm sure, for shock and awe, well, we're going to show up at your house, basically threatened to kill you because that's what it is.
00:49:36.940 If you don't come with us, we've got our guns here.
00:49:40.260 We're going to kill you in front of his children.
00:49:42.700 That is the government.
00:49:44.100 That's the Biden administration.
00:49:45.540 If you oppose them on abortion, on immigration, on whatever it is, even in a peaceful way, well, they're going to take away your freedom.
00:49:55.500 Absolutely.
00:49:56.360 People were arrested for praying at abortion.
00:49:59.700 Praying, Allie.
00:50:01.140 So what does that do?
00:50:02.160 How many people, just regular peaceful people, were like, you know, I'm really – I'm going to go and pray, too.
00:50:07.840 I'm going to do it.
00:50:08.540 How many of them said, ooh, after they saw what the feds did?
00:50:11.880 Is it worth that?
00:50:12.740 Is it worth it?
00:50:13.740 I'm not going to let my voice be, you know, be heard anymore.
00:50:16.420 Of course, and that's exactly what they want.
00:50:18.000 Yes.
00:50:18.700 Yeah, it's exactly what they want.
00:50:20.260 And, of course, the whole conversation about, oh, the right just wants power.
00:50:24.600 Donald Trump is a fascist.
00:50:25.840 Christian nationalism and theocracy and whatever propaganda is out there, of course, it's projection.
00:50:32.720 The opposite is true.
00:50:33.760 It's not that the Biden administration and the left want power.
00:50:36.620 They have it.
00:50:37.200 They have it, and they're wielding it with their bayonets to make sure that people comply, to make sure that you don't even pray in a way that opposes the regime.
00:50:47.140 Amazing.
00:50:47.680 I don't – yeah.
00:50:48.620 Allie, I don't know where this ends.
00:50:50.800 I really don't.
00:50:51.440 I don't either.
00:50:51.880 But could you make the argument that if Texas doesn't defy the SCOTUS ruling, that it won't stop there, that it will continue?
00:50:58.380 But what does defiance look like?
00:51:01.020 Where does it escalate?
00:51:02.240 I guess that's where I'm – I mean, I guess Texas could say, no, you're not – you know, continue to not let the Border Patrol on the border, continue to keep the razor wire there and the buoys.
00:51:10.520 They say, no, we're just not going to listen to you.
00:51:12.240 Yeah, I mean, practically, because we've already seen – we've already seen video of the federal government coming in, scooping up the barbed wire, allowing migrants to walk under it.
00:51:22.720 Like, practically, physically, I'm not sure what it looks like for Texas to say, no, you're not going to do that.
00:51:29.920 That's where things get – and I don't say this in a good way, but interesting.
00:51:33.680 Yeah.
00:51:33.880 Like, what does that resistance look like?
00:51:35.420 It's going to be more than Governor Abbott just saying, no.
00:51:38.500 Well, I read the court documents that the government submitted through the DOJ when this whole thing started with the Constantino Wire.
00:51:47.660 And they added to it when the Texas National Guard went on the border and actually physically stopped the Border Patrol.
00:51:54.260 And it just sounded kind of hilarious, actually.
00:51:56.620 It was a couple of, like, direct quotes on the Border Patrol saying, no, we couldn't get to the border because those Texan National Guard guys with guns were standing there.
00:52:03.780 It was just so funny to me because I don't know.
00:52:06.200 I was kind of proud to be a Texan in a way.
00:52:08.120 You know what I mean?
00:52:08.840 Because I don't know.
00:52:10.840 I really do not know where this ends because I guess it depends on how far the government is willing to take it.
00:52:16.700 But when you are a federal government that has shown that you don't really care what SCOTUS says anyway, Biden just forgave how many more billions in student loans?
00:52:29.020 Yeah.
00:52:29.240 That's already been ruled by SCOTUS.
00:52:30.800 You can't do that.
00:52:31.660 Yeah.
00:52:32.220 So they kind of took that first step.
00:52:35.160 Yeah.
00:52:35.320 Do we now take that step with the border?
00:52:38.040 And if we don't, what does that say when they say we're going to, you know, that Second Amendment thing?
00:52:43.280 Yeah, we don't really mind about that.
00:52:44.540 That First Amendment thing?
00:52:46.020 We're going to keep chicken away at that because you've shown that when we push, you don't shove back.
00:52:51.460 Yeah.
00:52:51.640 But that's, again, another question because I don't know.
00:52:55.100 I'm not an advocate for pushing that as far as it should go.
00:52:58.480 Yeah.
00:52:58.880 That ends in scary destinations.
00:53:00.740 Of course.
00:53:01.520 And I don't think anyone wants that.
00:53:03.100 I certainly don't want that.
00:53:04.300 I don't want violence.
00:53:05.160 I don't want this kind of conflict.
00:53:07.980 I don't know.
00:53:08.860 I also don't know where it ends up because what we've realized is that, like, the Constitution and the rule of law isn't really just a piece of paper.
00:53:18.720 It's not just words.
00:53:19.780 It's really about will.
00:53:21.520 That is what the law comes down to.
00:53:23.200 The law is what the person in power is willing to do.
00:53:27.520 And at the end of the day, someone who is willing to do something when they are in power overrides what SCOTUS says, apparently.
00:53:35.620 I mean, that's what the Biden administration has proven, that they don't really care what SCOTUS says.
00:53:39.340 So wild.
00:53:40.260 It is wild.
00:53:41.260 Well, Jason, thank you so much.
00:53:42.600 And thank you to you and Glenn for uncovering this.
00:53:45.420 It's very fascinating.
00:53:46.500 I really encourage people to go to BlazeOriginals.com.
00:53:52.360 And I think that there is a promo code as well.
00:53:58.900 I don't know what it is, but we'll put it in the description of this episode so people can click on it.
00:54:03.680 I think you can get a discount and you can watch the documentary in full.
00:54:07.040 Jason, thank you.
00:54:07.920 Thanks for having me.
