00:00:00.000 rfk jr has picked his running mate and it is not good news for the conservative women who
00:00:08.620 may have been considering voting for him and also trump is selling bibles we've got all of this and
00:00:16.080 much more on today's episode of relatable which is brought to you by our friends at good ranchers
00:00:21.140 go to good ranchers.com use code ally at checkout that's good ranchers.com code ally
00:00:30.000 hey guys welcome to relatable happy wednesday hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far
00:00:40.480 uh before we get into all of it just want to remind you of our cool new cute merch which i
00:00:46.740 happen to be wearing right now the front says if you're watching on youtube you're not enough with
00:00:51.600 this sweet little flower and on the back it says but jesus is this is available on allymerch.com
00:00:58.360 we've got cute hats that have the same thing of course this is inspired by the book that i wrote
00:01:04.360 a few years ago you're not enough and that's okay escaping the toxic culture of self-love we're
00:01:09.640 constantly told even by christian teachers that you are enough but we're not god made us not enough
00:01:15.340 god made us to be needy and to rely on him for salvation sanctification strength you're not enough
00:01:21.720 but jesus is the shirt the crewnecks great evangelistic tools great conversation starters
00:01:27.720 uh you're not enough but jesus is allymerch.com all right let's get into it we've got some things to
00:01:34.860 talk about before my dad joins us and tells us the state of the race the state of trump's legal cases
00:01:40.140 everything that's going on there a few more things that we'll discuss the first thing that i want to
00:01:45.260 talk about is rfk rfk jr announced his vp pick now before i even say who she is and explain all of this
00:01:55.880 i want to highlight this that i've said a few times before and that a lot of y'all out there
00:02:03.220 especially those of you who are diehard trump fans you're surrounded by diehard trump fans you don't
00:02:09.060 always believe me when i say this or i get yelled at when i say this as if i am declaring this a good
00:02:15.780 thing i'm not necessarily saying this is a good thing i'm just telling you it's how it is there is
00:02:22.760 a significant portion of suburban women suburban moms who are conservative who are republican voting
00:02:30.480 who are at the very least interested in voting for rfk jr and the reason is is because they like them
00:02:38.620 they like his persona they like the stuff that he puts out they like what he says about needing to
00:02:45.080 actually drain the swamp especially when it comes to our public health apparatus especially when it
00:02:51.680 comes to the corrupt relationship between big government big pharma big tech big business they
00:02:59.880 like that and not all of these moms are just anti-vaccine but they did see what covid and covid
00:03:07.040 policies did to their children did to their families in the way of forced masking in the way
00:03:13.480 of forced virtual learning and they want someone to put an end to that so they're comparing that they're
00:03:18.680 looking at the pain the suffering the delays that caused in their family's life how that affected them
00:03:24.720 economically they're looking at the things that rfk has said how he would never let something like
00:03:30.360 that happen again and how he would fire fauci everything that he said about the vaccine covid vaccine
00:03:35.700 vaccines in general but specifically that about fauci about what they got wrong and then they're looking
00:03:41.000 to donald trump who did not fire fauci who did not fire deborah burks who actually chided someone like
00:03:48.180 governor kemp when he reopened after the lockdowns um who still takes credit for this vaccine which has
00:03:58.880 hurt a lot of people um and so they're looking at those two things and they're saying well i don't
00:04:05.720 want something that terrible to happen to my family again i want someone at the top who is going to
00:04:11.640 protect us from that and you can't really blame them those years caused a lot of acute and irreversible
00:04:19.380 pain and damage for a lot of families so these aren't just like anti-vaxxer moms like these are moms who
00:04:27.700 are looking at the real damage that covid policies caused and the medical industrial complex has
00:04:34.100 caused and they're saying i don't want that anymore this is a big deal for my family and i really like
00:04:40.800 what rfk is saying about it and then since these women are pro-life they are also thinking okay well i i
00:04:50.140 don't like abortion i am pro-life i would like my candidate to be pro-life i would like my candidate to be
00:04:56.640 anti-abortion and look before i before i go into this you don't have to argue with me about it i'm
00:05:01.760 going to give the counterpoints to all of these and tell you what i think in just a second i'm just
00:05:06.780 trying to help you understand what they're thinking and so they're looking though at the candidates
00:05:13.880 they're looking at trump they're looking at biden they're looking at rfk and they're saying well i don't
00:05:18.260 see any pro-life candidates in rfk you've got someone who yeah is pro-choice and his campaign
00:05:26.500 has officially said that he believes in a woman's right to choose and they don't want to wade into
00:05:32.060 the late-term abortion conversation he originally said sure i'll limit it in the first three months or
00:05:37.440 i'm okay with that his campaign came up after him and said oh no no that's not his official stance
00:05:43.340 and then you've got trump trump in the nbc interview a few months ago said that the heartbeat bills in
00:05:49.140 places like florida were terrible a terrible mistake and that he is looking at a 16-week ban we're took
00:05:56.540 we're talking well into the second trimester when you can start to feel that baby kick that is when
00:06:03.160 trump thinks um would be a good time to discuss some kind of ban and then of course you've got biden who
00:06:10.120 i believe is probably the worst of them all um who doesn't believe there should be any limit on
00:06:15.120 abortion whatsoever and that there should be funding taxpayer funding abortion through all nine months
00:06:21.340 of pregnancy so when you've got those three options you've got essentially three pro-choice
00:06:26.520 options that is what these women are looking at so they are anti-abortion yes but they don't see in
00:06:33.700 their minds any you know pro-life candidates they are anti the medical industrial complex
00:06:39.660 they want someone who is going to prevent around two of covid policies and they like i think rfk's
00:06:49.300 self-control on social media how he handles himself the messaging his messaging on social media is
00:06:55.720 extremely savvy i think they like that about him he seems more kind of with it i would say than the
00:07:02.600 other two candidates both physically and mentally and i think they just like something fresh they
00:07:11.520 don't like a lot of things about donald trump's personality these are women by the way who voted
00:07:15.840 for him in 16 and 20 for the most part they don't like some of the things that he says and they just
00:07:21.760 want something different they want something different and again of course how he handled covid they don't
00:07:27.660 like that and so before you dismiss this group before you say they haven't thought about this
00:07:33.920 at all or they're stupid or they don't matter well they do matter whatever you think about their thought
00:07:39.340 process if you are a trump fan or if you are a biden fan like you need all of the votes of the people
00:07:47.880 who are planning to vote for rfk because of what i just described they're also liberal women who like
00:07:54.980 rfk for basically the same reasons and so rfk has been i would say a a top contender maybe not the top
00:08:04.060 contender but a top contender for these women um and i just got a text from a family member conservative
00:08:11.880 family members conservative as they come um suburban mom and she voted for trump 16 20 no question about
00:08:20.960 that and she asked me why shouldn't i vote for rfk so i'm telling you if she is the southern suburban mom
00:08:30.340 is conservative and pro-life as they come if she is asking me what about rfk i promise you she is not
00:08:37.700 the only one i know for a fact that she's not the only one so and this should be very troubling i think
00:08:43.620 especially to the trump camp this should not be dismissed now we will get into whether or not this
00:08:51.960 vp pick that rfk has announced um if that is going to change things i actually think that it will have
00:09:00.300 an effect and not a good effect on the republican women that he was able to successfully court for a
00:09:09.400 little bit and i'll explain why in just a second all right so in oakland california rfk jr announced
00:09:26.600 that silicon valley attorney and entrepreneur nicole shanahan is his running mate so there were some talks
00:09:34.400 about who his running mate would be for a while aaron rogers the former nfl player he was apparently
00:09:41.920 on a short list and also mike roe now wouldn't have that that have been awesome if he would have
00:09:47.880 chosen mike roe and we just had mike roe on the podcast this week i think that would have been a
00:09:52.720 great pick but he didn't pick either of those now that probably would have signaled to us that he
00:09:57.460 really is vying for the conservative vote i think that if he would have picked aaron rogers or
00:10:02.280 mike roe he probably would have gotten a lot of those conservative women uh that i was just
00:10:10.000 telling you about but he has instead picked nicole shanahan who is without a doubt on the left she is
00:10:18.680 without a doubt a liberal now let me explain to you why rfk in his words picked her before i tell you a
00:10:27.020 little bit more about her background and why i think this will absolutely turn any conservative
00:10:33.780 voter off from voting for rfk so here's his reasoning he said i wanted a vp who cares about
00:10:41.340 healing our children protecting our environment restoring our soils and getting the chemicals out
00:10:46.160 of our food shanahan's work on behalf of honest governance racial equality regenerative agriculture
00:10:52.720 and children's and maternal health has put her at the forefront of many of the country's most
00:10:57.540 urgent needs i mean i already have questions about that what is meant by racial equality that is a
00:11:04.140 euphemism that is very often used on the left to mean the discrimination against white males
00:11:09.120 discrimination against whites and asians when it comes to admissions when it comes to hiring and so
00:11:15.980 in what way are the races as far as the law goes uh unequal i would want to know exactly what is
00:11:24.240 meant by that do you mean dei policies do you mean um this kind of form of left-wing anti-racism
00:11:33.020 in which you are prejudiced towards white people in the hopes that that will eventually even the
00:11:38.760 outcomes and even the playing field what do you mean by racial equality in the year 2024 that is
00:11:44.960 something that i need to know and the fact that he listed that without explaining what it means um i
00:11:50.980 don't know i think that's just something to note he says i also wanted a vp who shares my indignation
00:11:56.420 about the participation of big tech as a partner in the censorship surveillance and information warfare
00:12:01.180 that our government is currently waging against the american people that's great i share that concern
00:12:05.860 i wanted someone who would honor our traditions as a nation of immigrants again euphemism not so sure
00:12:12.860 about and to also understand that to be a nation we need secure borders i'm with you on that i'm with
00:12:19.320 you that we need secure borders of course um he says nicole will be able to stand up to silicon valley
00:12:25.400 which she knows inside and out and she is going to stand up to wall street the big banks and the
00:12:30.740 larcenist k street lobbies the regulatory czars and unbridled central bank money printers and the crony
00:12:36.660 capitalists these are the actors who have displaced democracy with greed now i'm not so sure about that
00:12:43.380 i mean she's definitely in silicon valley she was married to uh one of the co-founders of google which
00:12:51.960 is an interesting part of her background um so i'm not really sure that i believe that she will stand up
00:12:56.760 to silicon valley but that's what he says so these are the big things that he believes she brings to
00:13:03.300 the table as an unapologetically as we will see in a second uh liberal woman so they announced um
00:13:11.460 her position as the vp running mate uh yesterday to a large audience in oakland and i'll play you
00:13:21.240 a little bit of her speech this is sought one pharmaceutical medicine has its place
00:13:27.860 but no single safety study can assess the cumulative impact of one prescription on top of another
00:13:34.960 prescription and one shot on top of another shot on top of another shot throughout the course of
00:13:39.860 childhood we just don't do that study right now and we ought to we can and we will conditions like
00:13:50.260 autism used to be one in ten thousand now here in the state of california it is one in 22
00:13:56.300 one in 22 children affected
00:14:00.360 okay so that's the part i do think that if she stayed on that and that is what they continue to
00:14:09.100 highlight that that will be very appealing to that contingency that demographic that i was just
00:14:15.500 telling you about because that is a big concern to them so i actually saw an instagram page saying
00:14:21.380 that she is like very pro vaccine and pro big pharma okay i do not think that he would have picked her if
00:14:29.920 that were the case and in that speech right there while she doesn't say explicitly that vaccines and
00:14:36.860 autism are tied together that is clearly what she is implying so just be careful of the information
00:14:41.880 that you're saying i'm not saying i'm not saying that i'm a fan of her but like let's just make sure
00:14:47.280 that we are honest about that at least from what she's saying right here it seems that he share she
00:14:52.540 shares his concerns about vaccines about chronic illness about some of the diagnoses and the prevalence
00:14:59.240 of some of these diagnoses in children uh like autism that to me doesn't sound like a big fan of big
00:15:05.120 pharma so that would that would be i think um something that is seen as a positive of course
00:15:13.380 by rfk but also those conservative women that i was just telling you about however there is more to
00:15:18.740 her background that i think we um that i think we need to explore uh before we say yes this is a great
00:15:26.340 pick who is going to fight against the medical establishment and fight on behalf of us first of all i just want
00:15:31.800 to say before i even get into the background just from seeing her speech i can if i were to prophesy
00:15:39.120 if i were to predict i think that she is probably going to have some not good media moments that could
00:15:49.940 potentially hurt this campaign and i'm not trying to be rude but she's not at least from there the most
00:15:57.380 articulate person um i could see her accidentally saying something that does not reflect well on rfk's
00:16:08.920 campaign uh we'll see about that i could be i could be wrong but just from what i saw in that speech and
00:16:15.940 how she articulates things i'm not very confident i'm not very confident in her ability to be a good
00:16:23.480 representative of the campaign to the media so that's just my prediction we'll clip that and then
00:16:29.320 when something comes out where she says something where she's not supposed to say it will have been
00:16:33.460 fulfilled okay so here is uh the summary of who she is according to the mainstream media outlets like
00:16:41.020 wapo a 38 year old california lawyer philanthropist she has deep roots in the tech world shanahan was
00:16:47.220 married to google billionaire co-founder sergey brin from 2018 to 2023 she leads the baya echo foundation
00:16:55.300 i just don't i don't know i don't like the name of that do you i don't like it it sounds sketchy to me
00:17:02.060 i know that's just me being superficial i just don't like it shanahan leads the baya echo foundation
00:17:08.240 an organization she founded to direct money toward issues including listen to this more euphemisms more
00:17:14.540 left-wing euphemisms including women's reproductive science criminal justice reform and environmental
00:17:21.600 causes and this is something that she said before that she cares about women's reproductive rights
00:17:27.340 another euphemism for abortion now she might mean some things in addition to abortion too but that is
00:17:35.020 what the euphemism stands for it stands for abortion and i wish someone would ask her and maybe so
00:17:40.880 maybe she'll come on the show i don't think so after the last thing i said but if i were to have
00:17:45.940 her on the show i would want to know what what limits um on abortion do you believe in do you believe in
00:17:52.280 any at all but reproductive science criminal justice reform another left-wing euphemism what do you mean
00:17:58.340 by criminal justice reform like do you mean by letting people out of jail and refusing to sentence
00:18:04.940 harshly people who have more melanin in their skin in the name of racial equality that euphemism that
00:18:12.000 rfk used when he was talking about her and environmental causes another euphemism what do you mean by that
00:18:18.660 what policies do you believe are going to help these environmental causes criminal justice reform
00:18:24.280 in women's reproductive science these are euphemisms for abortion for soft on crime policies
00:18:31.560 and for climate change policies which as we've seen can be life ruiners can be chaos inducers
00:18:41.160 according to the federal election commission filings she previously donated democratic campaigns
00:18:46.880 she also donated to a soros-backed da george gascon in los angeles talk about a life ruiner george gascon
00:18:56.320 is responsible for the murders of innocent people because he refuses to put people in prison for the time that they need
00:19:06.200 to be locked up he refuses to put people in jail who need to be in jail he refuses to enforce the law
00:19:14.440 because he is a social justice george soros backed life ruiner that's what all of these da's these prosecutors
00:19:24.520 these judges who are backed by george soros this is what they do in the name of criminal justice reform
00:19:31.660 in the name of racial equity in the name of anti-racism they refuse to put criminals in jail
00:19:37.800 based on their skin color so they can make sure that the quotas don't look like disproportionately black
00:19:46.100 and brown people are being locked up no matter what the crime is that is committed so in 2020
00:19:53.600 she donated 550 000 to los angeles's measure j an amendment to the county charter requiring a 10%
00:20:01.360 allocation of the county's general fund to be appropriated for alternatives to incarceration
00:20:05.640 such as mental health services and community-based restorative justice programs there's another
00:20:10.940 euphemism restorative justice kills restorative justice kills every single story that you see in
00:20:18.000 these blue cities of someone who committed you know 25 crimes say they've been arrested 25 times and yet
00:20:25.540 they're out in new york in philadelphia in baltimore in chicago in austin in denver in la in san francisco
00:20:31.860 and then they end up murdering someone i mean story after story we've talked about them on the show i try
00:20:38.840 not to talk about them every time i see them because it's so depressing and sad but it happens every single
00:20:43.700 day someone who should have been in prison for life because of their record they were let out in the
00:20:50.280 name of restorative justice and then they murdered someone so this is who rfk has chosen as his pick
00:20:56.280 so if you care about crime if you care about safe neighborhoods if you care about having people at the
00:21:03.780 top who care about those things and are going to ensure as you know as much as they can and they were kind
00:21:09.800 of limited capacity as president and vice president to um to influence in a way that will encourage
00:21:19.940 safety in communities that will be pro law enforcement then this is not your pick these are
00:21:27.100 not the people that you want to vote for just based on her past and how she has spent her money
00:21:31.240 also in 2020 shanahan donated 150 000 source back george gascon for his la county district attorney race
00:21:38.500 like he is so awful that even la tried to recall him even liberals have come out against him because
00:21:45.440 he is so radically far left she donated 150 000 to this guy in la um remember george soros donated 1.5
00:21:57.920 million dollars to him george soros again who is not just ideologically but i think personally
00:22:05.000 motivated to ensure the demise of the united states by ensuing as much chaos and crime as possible
00:22:13.360 as we've talked about many times like he is one of the big wigs at institutions like the wef who want to
00:22:23.920 see the demise of any truly american christian values uh he is who is behind
00:22:34.200 so many of these leaders these elected officials in these blue cities across the country
00:22:41.760 causing high crime causing high murder rates he is behind many of the organizations making it easier
00:22:50.120 for illegal immigrants to cross the border even the worst criminals in the world coming through the border
00:22:58.360 thanks to the money of people like george soros so who he backs um tells us a lot about who they are
00:23:08.600 what their ideology is and then it also tells us a lot about who shanahan is uh gascon gascon
00:23:16.720 co-authored a california proposition 47 which passed overwhelmingly in 2014 it reduced many drug and
00:23:23.880 property crimes from felonies to misdemeanors um it reduced a possible felony to always a misdemeanor
00:23:31.460 uh the theft of property value to under nine hundred and fifty dollars amid that stealing most
00:23:36.320 any gun was punishable by just a wrist slap so you can see probably all of the effects that have
00:23:43.240 occurred from that and this is who shanahan supports um and there's there are several other
00:23:50.640 candidates that she has given to that are equally evil and destructive of course she gave twenty
00:23:55.360 five thousand dollars to the joint fundraising effort between biden's 2020 campaign and the
00:24:00.300 democratic party she also contributed to the campaigns of democrats marian williamson and pete
00:24:05.100 buddha judge in that election cycle i mean pete buddha judge just look at the problems that we're
00:24:09.980 having with the supply chain and travel in the united states uh sending twenty eight hundred dollars
00:24:14.880 to williamson and hosting a fundraiser for buddha judge before backing biden during the 2016 election
00:24:20.020 cycle she donated fifty four hundred dollars to hillary clinton's presidential bid and later
00:24:24.480 sent money to democratic congressional hopefuls in 2018 she was the driving force and the primary
00:24:31.400 donor behind a super bowl ad produced by a pro kennedy super PAC american values 2024 for which
00:24:36.940 she contributed four million dollars so here's here's where it gets interesting here's i think the
00:24:43.780 real why behind him picking this woman who is obviously very far left it has to do with money
00:24:54.240 okay so as i said shanahan donated a lot of money a lot of money to him and uh to his super
00:25:13.500 PAC and that is why i think he has chosen her because as a candidate for vice president shanahan
00:25:21.140 can give unlimited sums to the campaign directly so that's what it is he needs the campaign money
00:25:28.100 and now that she is the vp candidate she can give him lots and lots of cash now i'm not saying that
00:25:34.180 they don't agree on everything um i'm sure that they do agree on a lot of things i'm sure that what
00:25:41.560 she said about herself and her concerns in her speech i'm sure a lot of those things are true
00:25:47.140 but even as from his own words about what she thinks about crime and abortion she is very clearly far
00:25:54.860 left and of course we have evidence of that in what she has given um so specifically on abortion
00:26:00.980 she's tried to pitch kind of like this unifying message but she has also said that dobbs v jackson of
00:26:08.620 course that was the supreme supreme court case that overturned roe v wade um that the supreme court
00:26:16.120 decision uh was enraging so the overturning of roe v wade let's just remember what that was it
00:26:23.880 didn't ban abortion it simply allowed states to ban abortion if their people wanted them to
00:26:31.340 she said that that was egregious so she doesn't believe it should even be a state's issue that's how
00:26:36.980 radical she is she says i think the narrative of pro-life versus pro-choice is just not the right
00:26:42.060 one for today the one for today is let's use technology as a connector to bring us together
00:26:46.540 and not divide us that's what i have to say about that dumb that's dumb we're talking about life and
00:26:54.160 death issue what does that even mean i don't want to talk about abortion i want to talk about how
00:26:58.520 technology can bring us together what talk about a non sequitur that's what i'm telling you i feel like
00:27:04.680 we're gonna get a lot of stuff like this from her doesn't even make any sense doesn't even make any
00:27:09.880 sense but rfk of course is um excited about his uh excited about his vp pick and he has to be because
00:27:19.160 this is the cash cow so um we're still trying to get rfk to come on the show i feel like it's getting
00:27:25.440 less and less likely but uh we've been trying for a long time but uh i i don't think it's i don't think
00:27:31.560 it's going to happen i don't think he wants to be put in the hot seat about things like abortion
00:27:35.260 things that my audience really cares about but it's really a shame because he would have had the
00:27:39.740 opportunity i think to win a portion of my audience over had he given good answers to those things but
00:27:46.880 it doesn't really put him in a good position because even if he said he would ban abortion
00:27:50.880 or advocate for banning abortion his campaign would come in and say no no we like abortion through all
00:27:56.200 nine months which is exactly what happened last time he said something like that well donald j trump on
00:28:01.040 truth social of course has something to say about this and he said rfk jr is the most radical left
00:28:05.560 candidate in the race by far i don't know about that he's a big fan of the green news scam and other
00:28:12.140 economy killing disasters i guess this would mean he is going to be taking votes from crooked joe biden
00:28:16.600 which would be a great service to america his running mate nicole shanahan is even more liberal
00:28:22.020 than him now i think that's true if that's possible kennedy is a radical left democrat and always will be
00:28:27.140 it's great for maga but the communists will make it very hard for him to get on the ballot
00:28:31.380 expect him and her to be indicted any day now probably for environmental fraud it's funny he
00:28:36.880 is crooked joe biden's political opponent not mine i love that he is running i'm getting some
00:28:42.200 conflicting messages some conflicting messages there um i wouldn't be so confident now he might be right
00:28:49.080 now um so he could be correct now because he is definitely rfk has definitely signaled that that's
00:28:55.160 who he's vying for he's vying for those left-wing votes um i think it would have been more likely
00:29:01.860 for him to get conservative votes if he had gone that direction rather than democrat votes democrats
00:29:06.980 are just way more united and i think that there are too many democrats who just like joe biden
00:29:13.060 insanely enough um so i don't think it's a good strategy i don't think it's an effective strategy but
00:29:17.520 you know what donald trump is probably right he's probably taking more votes away from biden with this
00:29:24.620 pick than he would have been from donald trump which yeah again is just silly so steve dace um
00:29:32.280 he has been a big fan of rfk just because of what he has said and done in regards to medical policy
00:29:39.520 our covid policy what he said about the mistakes there and i won't read his entire response it's
00:29:46.160 good as it always is when steve dace gives his opinion but he says i can't tell you how disappointed
00:29:51.380 i am an rfk jr's choice of running mate he's one of the few men i've met in recent years that
00:29:56.060 instantly impressed me and commanded my respect however this is essentially the daughter of
00:29:59.920 marianne williams and thomas eagleton uh this is now just a protest vote for the bill mars of the
00:30:05.820 world left-wingers against big pharma and nothing more um he says this is a either a terrible choice
00:30:12.200 on his part or he's merely trying to be a better version of what ralph nader did to democrats in 2000
00:30:16.840 as for a truly independent voice this sadly isn't it yet another missed opportunity to truly
00:30:22.180 inspire but that's par for the course in an era best known for soul crushing any earnest attempts
00:30:27.200 at inspiring moving on dot dot dot yeah i think he's probably uh right about that so
00:30:35.460 that's that's where rfk is that's where his running mate is and uh i just want to remind you
00:30:42.120 that voting for rfk because i don't think that he does have a path to victory if you are a democrat
00:30:49.380 voting for rfk you are giving half a vote to trump if you are a republican voting for rfk you are giving
00:30:56.340 half a vote to biden now you have to vote your conscience and as i said at the beginning of this
00:31:01.720 segment i understand i do i i understand where you're coming from and i don't think you're crazy
00:31:08.060 i don't i don't think that you are insane for being interested in voting for rfk as a conservative
00:31:16.260 i have the same concerns about trump but look not only is it the half a vote issue going on uh but you
00:31:25.440 also have to look at the apparatus that they are going to be surrounded by you have to look at the
00:31:33.840 judges that they are going to appoint the justices that they are going to appoint at the end of the
00:31:39.540 day i also don't like what trump has said about abortion there are plenty of things that i do not
00:31:45.580 like about donald trump as i've said before a plenty of things that i appreciate that he has done
00:31:50.580 but he is going to surround himself by far more conservative people in the white house than rfk will
00:31:59.360 i really do believe that now i don't like all the people that he surrounds himself with right now
00:32:03.560 i know but i do think that when he gets into the white house he will surround himself by far more
00:32:10.800 conservative people he is far more likely to sign a law that is pro-life absolutely and he is far more
00:32:18.940 likely to appoint supreme court justices should he get the opportunity that will make decisions that
00:32:27.080 align with our values that align with the constitution i guarantee you that rfk would not we would not be
00:32:35.680 happy with an rfk uh supreme court justice pick he is a democrat at the end of the day just remember
00:32:43.560 that we can really like a lot of things about him but we have to keep that in mind all right i just very
00:32:49.700 quickly want to talk about trump now and a new gimmick that he's got and that's selling bibles
00:32:55.260 no no no no oh my gosh he's selling god bless the usa bibles for 60 dollars wow okay just listen to
00:33:09.780 this ah this is according to the guardian and opposed to his truth social platform on tuesday former
00:33:15.860 president trump wished his followers a happy holy week as he encouraged everyone to get a copy of
00:33:21.000 his new god bless the usa bible collaboration with country singer lee greenwood okay for 59.99
00:33:27.160 that's a lot you can get a kjv bible with the words god bless the usa and an american flag pictured on the
00:33:33.760 cover this is the only bible endorsed by donald trump according to the website within the bible is a hard
00:33:39.400 copy or a hard copy a handwritten chorus uh to god bless the usa by lean greenwood great song the u.s
00:33:47.940 constitution the bill of rights the declaration of independence and the pledge of allegiance i just i
00:33:52.620 just i don't know brie do you have thoughts about this i this gives me the ick times a thousand yeah it
00:34:00.740 feels really weird to me that he i think it's the fact that they include all of that within the bible
00:34:06.560 it's not like we'll include a copy separately when you order the bible it's in the bible and that makes
00:34:12.060 me feel kind of weird about it yeah it makes me feel weird about it too like what would be the point
00:34:17.640 of buying this particular bible i guess just to say that you have it for a memorabilia i mean it really
00:34:25.400 is like wrapping the bible in the in the flag and i don't want to read too much into it by saying oh
00:34:32.740 they're idolizing america by putting it in the bible but it does feel weird it doesn't feel right man it
00:34:40.940 feels sacrilegious it feels political it feels like you're selling a bible to pay your legal fees
00:34:47.260 which i just don't like it feels somehow similar track with me and see if this makes sense because
00:34:54.400 it's not an exact comparison but it does feel like money changing in the temple kind of thing when
00:35:00.300 jesus was turning over tables it has the same feeling if you will i will say it the site technically
00:35:10.320 says he doesn't profit from this oh um okay but still i wonder i don't know it still feels off to me
00:35:19.620 yeah it says it doesn't doesn't the money doesn't go to his campaign or anything apparently
00:35:24.440 yeah okay now i'll say the other side of this because i know people will be mad but i like i
00:35:31.740 okay the other side of this maybe people will buy a bible who never would have bought the bible
00:35:36.060 yeah maybe they just like trump and they haven't read the bible in a long time but maybe they open it
00:35:45.540 up maybe this works for somebody i mean there are worse things to sell yeah right it's a rough
00:35:51.500 translation to start with i will say that the the kjv yeah well honestly that was probably a safe
00:35:59.400 choice sure sure that was probably a safe choice because some people do they don't like any other
00:36:05.460 version and most people aren't going to like complain about that so you know what maybe this
00:36:12.860 will maybe this will reach the right people the word of god doesn't return void and i hope that
00:36:18.340 donald trump also reads it i would be happy about that so it does feel a little bit ick to me
00:36:25.260 however i believe that god can use it like i said there are worse things there are worse things that
00:36:32.700 can sell this is from the website though um is this bible officially endorsed by donald trump yes this
00:36:40.480 is the only bible endorsed by donald trump what does that mean okay no other bibles allowed
00:36:47.560 oh okay here's what andrew walker says professor at southern baptist theological seminary editor at
00:36:55.160 world magazine who i really respect trump peddling to patriotic bible's gimmicky civil religion even if
00:37:00.540 bibles like this are a well-worn gimmick the bible is no prop exactly and christians would do well to
00:37:05.920 resist its syncretistic ploy but you know what's also wrong the democratic platform's assault on
00:37:11.900 human nature and human dignity allowing what is popular and politically correct to determine the
00:37:15.760 intensity and proportion of moral outrage is not the way very true very true ranger walker very astute
00:37:21.460 and nuanced um yeah so that's where i am on that but speaking of bibles i really encourage you
00:37:27.060 to get the esv study bible that's what i love i've got to use it to change my life change my theology
00:37:33.680 help me understand his word help me understand him salvation the gospel is so much better esv study
00:37:40.560 bible there's really just one official one it's like black and white and let's see i wonder how much
00:37:45.680 it is it's probably less than 60 i mean you could probably get one that's leather that's more expensive
00:37:52.720 let's see esv study bible um yeah esv study bible 28 49 on amazon you gotta there's a pretty one that's
00:38:02.540 40 43 um yep get you an esv study bible i mean god really can use it to change your life you don't
00:38:11.240 need to be spending 60 on an american flag trump endorsed kjv bible you just don't that's my two
00:38:17.880 cents um okay i just wanted to make sure that we commented on that and now we are going to get into
00:38:25.960 a conversation with my dad he's going to give us some updates on what is going on in the political
00:38:30.580 world also what's going on at the border with the court and the biden administration and greg abbott
00:38:34.880 dad thanks so much for joining us again all right we're here to talk about what's going on
00:38:51.920 in the political realm what do we want to talk about first let's talk about trump let's talk about what's
00:38:56.600 happening in his legal fight so what happened this week well what a couple really things happened for
00:39:01.200 him this week that were actually one of them may have happened late last week but anyway in the last
00:39:05.240 few days a couple of good things for him is you know he had this lawsuit in new york where they made
00:39:12.240 him post they're going to make him post a bond of 450 million dollars to cover a potential judgment
00:39:17.280 against him for quote unquote uh misvaluing properties that he took loans out on even though all the
00:39:24.260 loans have been paid and the banks never complained and all that stuff kind of crazy so they're just
00:39:29.020 looking for something they're looking for i can't keep track of it i didn't know if it had to do with
00:39:33.060 i mean there are so many so many different lawsuits happening at once something to do with the election
00:39:37.060 something to do with eugene carroll that woman who accused him of things this is all this is separate
00:39:41.740 from that yeah this is this is really probably the most egregious one of all because he had some
00:39:47.000 properties that he needed to borrow money against he put them up as collateral gave them a valuation of what
00:39:52.540 he thought they were worth and the banks accepted it they paid off the loans over time and whatever
00:39:58.480 and then somebody this leota james the the ag leticia leticia james uh sued him because the value wasn't
00:40:08.440 what it was on the tax records well tax record value and real market value is totally different but
00:40:14.720 anyway so the judge they ruled against him 450 million dollar potential judgment so they're gonna make
00:40:20.360 him post a bond and they appealed it to the next level up to an appeals court in new york yep and
00:40:27.500 they got and they reduced it to 175 million which is still a lot of money but it is a huge slap in the
00:40:33.300 face to ag james by very liberal court as well so all the you know the liberal media hogs were just all
00:40:41.940 upset about all of that one right so but now with the truth social going public yeah how much money is he
00:40:48.040 getting from that well he owns almost 60 percent of trump media which includes true social and as of
00:40:54.900 yesterday the total value of the company was 6.8 billion he owns about 60 so that's about 4 billion
00:41:01.560 dollars now he can't sell that stock right away when you first go ipo if you're an insider there's
00:41:06.880 some restrictions on that but he likely could borrow money against it if he needed to so it's been a pretty
00:41:12.080 good week for him now the polling however for trump and biden kind of remains about the same
00:41:19.200 yeah it's so interesting the overall polling you know is pretty close to the margin of error with trump
00:41:24.740 leading however when you get down on the specific issues it's not even close yeah when you look at
00:41:31.440 immigration when you look at the economy i mean it's 20 or 30 points different but there are people
00:41:36.320 that are just saying hey i don't care how bad this is if you really ask me how i'm going to vote
00:41:40.720 a lot of those people are voting for joe biden i think when people are thinking issue by issue
00:41:46.300 they're thinking republican versus democrat when they are looking at the two contenders they aren't
00:41:54.020 thinking republican versus democrat they're thinking trump versus biden so i think that most people do
00:41:59.800 probably trust republicans when it comes to the economy and immigration and crime more but when it
00:42:05.780 comes down to either personality or whatever it is trump versus biden some people just they can't
00:42:13.960 just do it they can't hold their nose and vote for trump or at least right now they think they won't be
00:42:19.340 able to actually i think yeah i agree with you on that actually i think that trump will get more of
00:42:24.940 the younger generation votes than any republican candidate has gotten in a while and i think the reason for
00:42:31.020 that is and uh i didn't say it's even necessarily good but the reason for that is so much of the
00:42:38.180 younger generation even younger than the millennials the other generations below y'all are they're so used
00:42:43.900 to seeing all this crazy stuff the stuff that they've read or seen but trump may say or do i mean they see
00:42:50.440 that every day from their friends on tiktok or whatever it happens to be right and so i just don't think
00:42:55.520 that moves the needle as much i think what moves the needle even more for the young people will be
00:43:00.980 hey who looks the has the most vigor who looks the most really will he been able being able to stand up
00:43:08.740 and do something if we need to be and certainly trump looks better than biden in that category yeah i think
00:43:14.640 so too gosh and i don't even know if they're paying attention and i don't think most of my friends are
00:43:19.820 paying attention to what trump is going through legally i don't think that they can keep count of
00:43:25.400 all of the cases and i mean i don't even i get overwhelmed when i try to keep it all in order
00:43:30.520 and so for the average person they're looking at it and they kind of just see it as a political
00:43:35.500 witch hunt they're not paying attention to the details of it i don't think that's a determinant for
00:43:40.220 most people when it comes to who they're i think you're probably right and i think the polls indicate
00:43:45.180 that okay and the democrats felt like well listen we can do all this we're going to catch him
00:43:50.120 somewhere on one of them and that's going to make the difference i just don't i just don't see that
00:43:54.820 making a difference now i think trump trump could still lose okay i mean uh biden can still win
00:44:00.560 which is hard for me to even believe but it's a close it's a close race there's no question about
00:44:05.960 that
00:44:06.520 okay let's talk about texas what's going on at the border it's been a battle biden administration
00:44:24.520 the supreme court governor abbott all kind of in a fight as it looks from the outside at least over
00:44:33.620 what to do with the border obviously greg abbott wants to secure the border the biden administration
00:44:38.480 outright does not they want to undermine texas's ability to protect their border at all
00:44:43.780 they have to go to the supreme court supreme court gets to tell them what everyone is allowed to do
00:44:48.500 so where is it right now well it's yeah it's interesting so so just a quick history uh texas
00:44:54.880 state legislature passed senate bill four last year and senate bill four allows texas law enforcement
00:45:02.400 to arrest people that they have probable cause okay there has to be probable cause you can't just
00:45:10.100 it's not uh you know just stop every car it's probable cause that they have entered the country
00:45:14.820 illegally and to uh give those back to the border agents to deport and the border agents would be
00:45:22.820 required to deport those that's what they're there for right and so the there was a judge uh david ezra
00:45:30.420 who was actually appointed by ronald reagan long long time ago he's a senior status judge uh that is
00:45:36.660 wow he was appointed by ronald reagan he's a liberal judge he's out of hawaii which is pretty liberal
00:45:42.140 but he also serves the western district and uh he he ruled against uh sb4 in fact put a permanent
00:45:50.380 injunction against it and so then they appealed it to the fifth circuit okay uh abbott did and abbott
00:45:58.920 uh and they stayed the law as well and then they sent it to the supreme court who stayed it but that
00:46:05.220 just for temporarily until they looked at it then the supreme court looked at it and said no we're going
00:46:09.780 to remove the stay meaning it could go into effect and send it back to the fifth circuit well within
00:46:14.840 hours the fifth circuit put the stay back on okay and so that's been on and then yesterday this three
00:46:22.460 judge panel there's 17 judges on the fifth circuit all right and 12 of those are republican five or
00:46:29.180 democrat when i say that they've been appointed by those people well most cases are heard by three
00:46:34.600 judge panel and the three judge panel yesterday was one uh biden appointee one uh george hw bush
00:46:42.680 appointee and then one trump appointee and the two uh the biden and the hw bush ruled to continue the
00:46:51.140 stay okay until it's finally heard it'll probably be heard and explain what that means continue this day
00:46:56.780 that means that the law cannot go into effect okay and it'll probably be heard what they call on
00:47:01.960 bonk which means all 17 judges will hear it yeah all right that happens occasionally but the trump
00:47:07.420 that's bad for texas yeah the trump the trump judge uh dissented against it and has a great dissent if
00:47:13.420 people have the time to go on and and read that uh the trump judge said yes this law should be able
00:47:19.080 it should be a law it should be allowed that texas has the right to do this and don't don't deny that
00:47:25.280 it's a federal border but texas has the right to arrest lawbreakers right and they're breaking the law
00:47:31.780 state state troopers arrest people that commit federal crimes all the time right and so this
00:47:38.380 is a federal crime and we have the right to do that so what is by what's the biden administration's
00:47:43.340 argument for saying nope you can't do this uh there's they're basically saying that it's
00:47:48.440 unconstitutional because that is the federal government has broad control over that and they
00:47:54.320 can let in and let out whoever they want to and they obviously just want to let people in oh and i'm
00:47:59.780 constantly trying to not think of the absolute worst case scenario and the worst motivations
00:48:04.520 but it's really hard to see this as anything other than them just wanting to change the
00:48:09.620 demographic demographics of the country for their own power i mean that's got to be it they know they
00:48:15.200 know what happened under under president reagan as you know who is our favorite okay and actually
00:48:19.700 read some of my book for me it's very nice of him to do that um it people might not understand
00:48:25.300 that joke but people have to go listen to the audible version and then they'll understand but
00:48:31.240 he did he is one of my favorites but but he had an amnesty program yes and i that is what the
00:48:38.260 democrats are planning on happening even under a republican president they might because he just
00:48:43.960 wanted it to end what we didn't do though is when that happened is we didn't we didn't have uh total
00:48:49.820 immigration reform to secure our borders and things like that then we had this chain migration that
00:48:54.800 schumer basically snuck in there years ago and so it it's i i believe every and all the people i
00:49:02.660 talk to that are candidates political candidates anywhere in the country and i've talked to several
00:49:06.760 of them their number one issue when they talk to people is is immigration number one issue i don't
00:49:11.540 care if you live in new hampshire or you live in south texas it is immigration and uh hopefully
00:49:18.380 republicans will be smart enough to keep pounding that scenario because their record on that's much
00:49:24.640 better do you think that republicans in washington dc want to fix the issue because it seems like
00:49:30.600 they've had the opportunity to no no i think they want to fix the issue but they're not going to fix it
00:49:35.100 unless there is secure the border first or it's simultaneously well that's what i mean by fixing the
00:49:40.880 issue do you think that they really truly want to secure the border or do you think they just want
00:49:44.680 to be able to run on an ongoing problem i think they really want to secure the border i really do
00:49:49.520 now there may be some people that it's just a political thing but i think most of them know
00:49:53.000 it's bad for our country not to have a secure border yeah and i think most of the democrats
00:49:58.500 it's kind of like a nimby they they want they don't want to secure border unless it has a negative
00:50:05.280 effect on them like not in my backyard right yeah because all the all the blue may what are the what
00:50:10.260 do those blue city mayors want us to do they want to let them all in but don't send them to me well
00:50:15.180 they think texas and arizona and california and new mexico should handle all of them that makes
00:50:20.360 absolutely no sense whatsoever and you know i didn't really i guess i just hadn't thought about
00:50:25.080 it but elon musk has been sounding the alarm about this that everyone is counted in the census whether
00:50:29.960 you're legal or illegal and political power is based on how many people are counted in the census
00:50:36.920 it's how many house of representative seats that you get how much money is allocated to your area
00:50:43.340 through certain federal programs but you know the deal is ali the millennial generation is now the
00:50:50.300 biggest voting block they don't vote the most but they have the biggest eligible voting block and we
00:50:58.840 really need your generation the generation behind that to step up and i and i think that they will i'm
00:51:04.000 very very encouraged about young people in this country and i really am i just there's so many
00:51:10.440 good stories that come out that don't get put out i think there are a lot of those people out there
00:51:14.720 that are that are coming around and i think our country while we may be in some for some temporary
00:51:20.360 tough times i still think we're in for some really good times ahead i hope so i hope so um okay are there
00:51:27.140 any other political updates any other things that people need to know are going on uh no just you know
00:51:33.480 the conventions are coming up uh the uh republican convention is coming up in in july in milwaukee
00:51:38.780 and the democrat convention is coming up in august in uh chicago and i think there'll continue to be
00:51:45.840 talk between now and then about trump's legal issues and then biden's age and and things like that yeah
00:51:52.980 but i had one quick question for you ready uh what what what did you think about vice president harris
00:52:00.860 being the first vice president to tour a planned parenthood facility you may have already talked
00:52:04.740 about that but no we actually haven't talked about that i mean it's not surprising to me it's evil she's
00:52:11.260 been bloodthirsty for a really long time when she was ag of california she went after the investigative
00:52:16.820 journalist to uncover the fact that planned parenthood is basically trafficking body parts
00:52:22.240 they are profiting off of that he had the you know she had the fbi raid his home because of that and so
00:52:29.540 she is she's more concerned about protecting baby butchering than she is protecting the lives of the
00:52:36.860 most vulnerable um she's an evil woman but this is an evil administration and increasingly it is an evil
00:52:44.040 political party that you really can't find and this includes rfk who claims to be an independent you
00:52:50.720 really can't find a democrat running or in office who will say that there should be any limit i know
00:52:56.360 whatsoever to abortion um and i think they're just empowered when they see that ought to be the
00:53:01.380 republicans mantras when they're put on the spot is just say okay well tell me what limits you would
00:53:05.640 have because none of them will ever say it's like public schools say and when i ask them how much
00:53:10.760 money do you need to provide good education they'll never give you a number well we just need more
00:53:14.740 yeah you know yeah just anyway just anymore i know no you're right they should be saying that but
00:53:20.220 instead republicans are trying to defend themselves about ivf and all that they shouldn't even focus on
00:53:24.520 that no let's tell them what we talked about republicans in an interview yeah you never have to
00:53:32.240 answer the question you don't have to answer what you want to say what you want to say and you turn
00:53:37.200 it back on them and say what do you think the limits should be for abortion yeah you say i think life
00:53:41.660 begins at conception when do you think a life matters exactly right no question why don't they
00:53:47.020 just all listen to us i don't know they should maybe they will now maybe they all listen to you
00:53:51.240 so maybe they will yeah okay tell everyone um about your book oh yeah well uh life lessons from the
00:53:56.960 little red wagon i got it here in front of me today and uh it's a great i think it's kind of a fun read
00:54:03.100 uh and i had a great uh writer that helped me write it and uh i think you'll find it very
00:54:10.360 interesting it's just one guy's journey through life using the red wagon as a metaphor and uh any
00:54:16.360 of you interested in learning how lisa's mom raised such a great uh daughter and ally or ally's mom
00:54:21.440 raised such a great daughter uh you'll find that in here too well thank you so much dad i really
00:54:27.260 appreciate you taking the time to come on and we'll put a link uh where you can check out that book it's
00:54:31.680 my dad's story and there's lots of good lessons leadership lessons in there uh from his life and so
00:54:36.940 we'll include the link in the description of this episode thanks so much okay thank you i enjoyed it
00:54:42.000 you
