00:05:33.920She's the perfect example of not following your gut instinct.
00:05:36.920The old guard of celebrities who are followed by this false empathy, they don't even have instincts.
00:05:42.920They just do what they believe is supposed to be good PR wise.
00:05:46.920And I don't love seeing women cry, but I love seeing old celebrities finally realize that their point of view is no longer the socially acceptable one.
00:05:54.920She deleted her post because she was trained to believe that crying on camera is going to garner sympathy from all of her viewers and make her the hero.
00:06:04.920It took about 10 years, but the people that follow their gut instincts are now at the forefront of truth.
00:06:09.92010 years ago, I became a Donald Trump supporter after the DNC rigged the election against Bernie Sanders.
00:06:15.920And I remember having this conversation with my English teacher at a dinner table with my parents.
00:06:20.920It was that time of year when your parents need to figure out if you're being a good student and all this.
00:06:25.920And the political conversation inevitably came up because I was the only Donald Trump supporter in my entire school.
00:06:32.920I was walking in with the make America great against shirts smiling when everybody was crying when they brought in therapy dogs because Hillary Clinton lost.
00:06:40.920And sitting in the cafeteria with my English teacher and my parents, I had a conversation that I'm never going to forget.
00:06:45.920She looked me dead in the eyes and she said, you are going to regret voting for Donald Trump.
00:06:50.920You are going to be on the wrong side of history.
00:06:53.920And that conversation was more than just a political battle.
00:06:56.920It was like business investors predicting the future of their company.
00:07:00.920Me and my teacher both knew that I was going to have a powerful voice in America.
00:07:04.920And she was saying that I was picking the wrong stock.
00:07:07.920But instead, I trusted my gut instinct and I said, I don't care what you say.
00:07:11.920Misogynistic, locker room talk, grabbing by the whatever.
00:07:15.920Trump has something that the other politicians don't.
00:07:36.920I risked losing all my relationship with my liberal friends from the Northeast.
00:07:40.920And even one of the female members of my family went into my closet to take my Make America Great Again shirt and ripped it up and took it away from me.
00:07:47.920Time and time again, this has happened in my life.
00:07:49.920When it came to dropping out of school, when it came to remaining unvaccinated, being ostracized, even though I knew that my gut was right.
00:07:57.920And as I get older, I find myself agreeing more with the infantile version of myself.
00:08:02.920That six-year-old version of me that first saw a gay couple kissing in the grocery store and their mustaches and beards entangling.
00:08:15.920And so immediately I started re-social programming myself to not be disgusted by what I knew was disgusting.
00:08:22.920There's a reason that infants are funnier than all the adults out there because they haven't yet rewired their programming to follow whatever the social norm is.
00:08:30.920If you want to figure out what the truth is, the best metric is finding whatever is funny because laughter is not an intentional reaction.
