00:12:04.580 to provide appropriate counselling services
00:12:06.760 to support parents and youth identifying as transgender
00:12:09.280 to work through the unique challenges
00:12:10.880 these families face.
00:12:12.660 We encourage all teachers, parents, classmates,
00:12:15.260 and youth volunteers
00:12:16.600 to be on the watch for any instances
00:12:18.600 of bullying of youth or children for any reason
00:12:21.860 so adults can assist with putting a stop to it
00:12:24.400 the moment it is detected.
00:12:26.160 Our government also needs to deal
00:12:27.380 with the emerging issue
00:12:28.360 of the unfair disadvantages
00:12:29.800 that young women and girls are experiencing
00:12:31.820 when competing with biologically stronger
00:12:34.240 transgender female athletes
00:12:35.960 in sporting competitions.
00:12:38.100 I strongly believe
00:12:39.480 that those who were born male
00:12:40.760 but have transitioned to
00:12:42.220 or identify as female
00:12:43.720 are owed the opportunity
00:12:45.060 to meaningfully participate in sport.
00:12:47.860 However, there are obvious biological realities
00:12:50.220 that give transgender female athletes
00:12:52.300 a massive competitive advantage
