Stand on Guard with David Krayden - LIVE from Ottawa Trial! Its LAWFARE ON THE FREEDOM CONVOY! ｜ Stand on Guard

00:00:00.000 welcome back to another episode of stand on guard i'm your host david creighton thank you so much

00:00:08.080 for joining me today i promised i would be a little later today with the broadcast because

00:00:14.200 i was at the freedom convoy trial of tamara leach and chris barber and i want to tell you

00:00:20.220 everything that happened i was there we'll be right back with more so we are in a very precarious

00:00:28.120 position in this country we need political change but we also need to resolve to resist

00:00:35.120 yeah please like the station give a smash that like button give us the thumbs up

00:00:53.920 and subscribe youtube loves to suppress subscriptions because they can tell you

00:00:59.520 nobody likes your station so we're going to demonetize you or we're going to make sure you

00:01:05.740 don't get the numbers you need or or you're not going to get more subscribers we're going to

00:01:10.120 unsubscribe them so it's a bit of a game we play with youtube but we're winning thanks to you

00:01:15.440 we're winning and you know what i think chris barber and tamara leach are winning too i just got back i

00:01:21.700 mean literally half an hour ago from the freedom convoy trial that's what i call it it's a freedom

00:01:26.900 convoy trial this is a political trial this is a kangaroo court no i won't call it a kangaroo court

00:01:31.780 because there's a good judge there that is a saving grace here but it's it's a political trial

00:01:37.660 because they should never have been put on trial and blame the judge for this heather perkins mcveigh

00:01:42.620 has been very fair and she was fair again today and and you'll find out she actually quipped at one

00:01:49.300 point about evidence presented by the prosecution but i will call it a bit of a show trial not once

00:01:56.640 again because of the judge i have a lot of i have a lot of respect for this judge i think she's doing 1.00

00:02:00.960 a good job but this is a political farce should never have come to this no way as is a mischief charge

00:02:08.620 charge take 11 months now this was day 43 i sat down with lawrence greenspawn before the trial began

00:02:19.140 because everything was late they couldn't get their computers working properly they could they

00:02:23.840 couldn't get the zoom going so everything was about a half hour late so i sat down with lawrence

00:02:28.800 greenspawn who is tamara leach's lead attorney he's the lead attorney for both of them to some degree

00:02:34.840 because and he's a he is one of the best in ottawa he's he's a criminal and civil lawyer one of the

00:02:41.180 best in ottawa he's doing a bang up job and i said how long has this been going on he says we're on day

00:02:46.940 43 today this thing started on september the 5th 2023 that was the the tuesday after the long weekend

00:02:58.460 the long labor day weekend that's when this trial began and what are they accused of murder no

00:03:04.820 no robbery no sexual assault no they're accused of mischief and counseling to mischief

00:03:13.160 you know what that usually amounts to yeah you you bet you it's usually resolved before they even go

00:03:20.600 to trial and if it goes to trial it sure as hell lasts maybe two days but this has gone on since

00:03:27.540 september 5th and it is ludicrous that's all i can say ludicrous and lawrence greenspawn agreed with me

00:03:34.040 saying you know i i guess can't believe that the prosecution the crown keeps adding more and more

00:03:41.360 evidence just more superfluous documents really that the judge has to assess and this week was supposed

00:03:50.000 to be the final statements the concluding statements for both the crown and the defense

00:03:59.300 well the crown took two bloody days in their concluding statement now they're about three

00:04:07.120 days behind and we have to go into next week to hear all of the defense final statements which

00:04:16.080 basically is the entire defense case they have put it all in their concluding statements so far they're

00:04:26.000 doing from what i heard today they're doing an excellent job of getting the points across

00:04:30.560 and you can see yes i was there on behalf of the post-millennial i got a story up by before

00:04:41.020 4 30 this afternoon soon as the trial was over yeah i was typing away all afternoon as we were as we

00:04:49.540 were working great picture there of chris barber and tamara leach outside the audible courthouse

00:04:55.060 yeah there they are this has become their second home they come out you have to remember he's from

00:05:00.400 saskatchewan she's from alberta medicine hat uh i believe he's swift current and they come all of this

00:05:07.000 way every time they have to come back for trial this is called lawfare they're waging lawfare against

00:05:15.160 these two so they can rack up huge legal bills and they're trying to destroy them financially 1.00

00:05:20.080 trying to give them anxiety attacks trying to ensure they just don't enjoy life and they just

00:05:26.740 regret that they ever oppose the trudeau government don't forget as well though it's not just trudeau

00:05:32.940 here trudeau was not taken in the court trudeau invoked the emergencies act that caused all this

00:05:37.240 nonsense trudeau is the one that really pushed to have the freedom convoy snuffed out

00:05:42.560 but doug ford took these two to trial this is a provincial matter it's they're in a provincial 0.57

00:05:48.860 courthouse this is doug foe the doug scus doug doug foe conservative doug ford the foe conservative 0.52

00:05:55.140 who's doing this let's not forget that let's not give doug ford a pass for anything because he signed

00:06:01.840 on the dotted line for the invocation of the emergencies act nobody liked the emergencies act more

00:06:07.520 than doug ford he thought it was a great idea yeah and some so-called conservative pundits and

00:06:14.420 writers said good for you doug ford yeah get rid of those blue collar trucking convoy people who were 1.00

00:06:24.760 just causing all this stir in ottawa and and at the borders at coots and niagara falls and yeah i mean it

00:06:33.600 was absolutely ludicrous but that's that's where we are so here they are back for their final

00:06:42.840 conclusion we're not going to get a verdict and green lawrence greenspawn told me this today

00:06:47.260 twice we're not going to see a verdict he he predicts now nothing is certain in in the law

00:06:53.840 but he predicts that we're not going to see a verdict now until early maybe later 2025

00:07:01.840 that means we're going to have a year and a half putting these two people through chronic hell

00:07:10.240 financial distress just so the political masters and the deep state can be appeased that's what

00:07:19.340 this is all about so we had a good chance here so we're outside now the court the ottawa court has

00:07:24.440 i'm waiting for the freedom convoy lawyers to come out diane magus was the lawyer representing chris

00:07:34.640 barber this morning and what they're trying to do of course is to speak for chris barber because the

00:07:42.220 prosecution the crown is trying to make this all about chris barbering to link

00:07:47.680 tamera leach to chris barber through something called the carter application we've discussed this

00:07:55.880 in the past so that whatever chris barber is found guilty of tamera leach will automatically be found

00:08:03.620 guilty of as well so the defense today just starting today because the prosecution has set this trial back

00:08:13.760 at least another day or two again they're talking exclusively chris barber this morning

00:08:21.080 because they're combating the prosecution's attempt to make this into just one person and link tamera leach

00:08:30.460 with chris barber so if you misunderstood that i'll repeat it here what the prosecution the crown is

00:08:40.040 trying to do is target chris barber because he was more of the operational type he was a trucker himself

00:08:46.500 he was out there with the truckers every day more as we would say in the military he was the operator

00:08:51.900 he was the one engaging with the trucker on the street but what we learned today though is of course

00:08:59.960 it wasn't chris barber's idea to park everybody's truck on the street and block traffic that was the

00:09:04.400 police service's idea the ottawa police service said that what chris barber wanted to do

00:09:09.100 was to do slow rolls through the downtown core i don't know once a day and as his lawyer

00:09:17.460 diane magus pointed out today that might have caused a bit of grievance to city dwellers

00:09:26.480 to some businesses maybe a little grievance once a day but it wouldn't have shut down the city

00:09:32.620 the cops in ottawa shut down the city it was their idea to have everybody park no you're not doing a

00:09:39.660 so slow roll you're gonna park so what could they do they obeyed the police and they parked so it was

00:09:48.380 chris barber didn't didn't cause the gridlock which was everybody complained about the gridlock they

00:09:53.940 occupied the downtown core well that was the cops idea they wanted to park outside the downtown core

00:10:01.900 and to do slow rolls maybe once a day that was the plan it's all in chris barber's text and diane

00:10:07.880 magus was reading from these texts text after text after text and once again it shows it demonstrates

00:10:14.400 chris barber was completely committed to peaceful protest he was completely committed to not blockading

00:10:22.240 the streets to not tying up traffic to not creating gridlock in fact he he actually went out of his way to

00:10:28.680 clear the streets and kent street here in ottawa which is one of the main arteries that leads downtown

00:10:32.940 to wellington which is right in front of parliament hill he was doing his best to clear the traffic

00:10:38.840 once again the prosecution totally ignored that they have it's been a clown show for the prosecution

00:10:47.060 let's put it that way everything they've done has been a disaster they played video clip after video clip

00:10:53.220 in the first months of this trial and it has become a trial believe me in every sense of the word

00:11:00.280 and every clip they played had either chris barber or tamera leach saying please protest peacefully do not 0.99

00:11:08.140 bother people downtown obey the police every one of them and they looked stupid so what are they trying 0.98

00:11:15.220 to do this week well they're saying it's all chris barber's fault and because he was a co-conspirator 0.99

00:11:24.760 with tamera leach whatever chris barber did tamera leach did too that's good that's part of a legal device

00:11:31.080 called the carter application i won't get into that but that's technically what it is so she would be guilty

00:11:38.680 of whatever he did they figure he's the weakest link in this except uh-huh you look at his his text

00:11:45.280 messages you look at his videos you look at the material he put on social media and they did the

00:11:52.320 prosecution's case falls to pieces weakest link no he's a strong link and he's been a strong link and

00:12:00.880 neither of them i believe are going to be convicted in this because there's absolutely no evidence of

00:12:07.320 wrongdoing they peacefully protested for us so that we didn't have to be subject to covet 19 mandates

00:12:14.360 at trudeau's whim and at doug ford's whim and premiers across this province's whim across this

00:12:22.280 country's whim that's what they were fighting for we have to remember that that's what this was all about

00:12:28.400 and i tell you listen to chris barber at the emergencies act inquiry he he makes the case quite

00:12:35.640 succinctly tell you that if anybody learned anything or grow grew more during the convoy it was me i uh i

00:12:43.720 was uh i was a different person nine months ago whatever it was ten months ago um coming out here

00:12:51.240 and seeing the amount of love and the people of all different colors all different race everything it

00:12:57.800 was it was it was such a diverse crowd of people here there was um so there were so many tears there

00:13:03.480 were so many hugs there was so much laughter there was so much it was it changed the person it changed me

00:13:11.240 how did you change uh it just it it humbled me

00:13:16.520 yeah changed me too i covered the freedom convoy from the very beginning to the very end until trudeau

00:13:27.480 sent out the police to smash heads and to squash the protesters i was there changed me too i never

00:13:36.040 really considered myself a populist i was a small c conservative small l libertarian you take your pick

00:13:43.080 but i really didn't consider myself a populist i didn't really understand

00:13:49.000 a lot of issues surrounding blue collar workers i sure as hell did after this 0.99

00:13:53.560 and it was a very profound and moving experience for me as well and for these jerks 0.99

00:14:01.240 to suggest that there's some sort of co-conspiracy going on here this is absolutely ridiculous it's 1.00

00:14:07.640 completely rub rubbish it's absolute rubbish 0.99

00:14:12.360 and it's it's absolutely ridiculous to suggest that there's anything going on here but peaceful 0.99

00:14:17.640 protest and i tell you the prosecution the crown has been unable to prove that or even demonstrate

00:14:24.200 it even hint at it so far and you have to laugh at this i mean tamara leach posted this today about 1.00

00:14:31.880 and and the judge actually raised this one because the

00:14:37.000 crown suggested there was some sort of collusion because tamara leach 0.98

00:14:40.840 and one of the protesters were wearing the same hoodie so what is this a club what is this some

00:14:47.160 sort of secret society they they're wearing the same clothes

00:14:52.280 oh tamara you know it's marily of course is 0.96

00:14:56.920 sitting in there wondering what in the hell is going on with this and the judge says well maybe there

00:15:01.720 is a snail the judge can see through this these aren't even speeches arguments 1.00

00:15:11.960 these are absolutely stupid statements made by the prosecution it is a real clown show and if you see 0.99

00:15:18.920 these two yeah they really fit the bill and they've been doing this from day one since this trial began 1.00

00:15:25.320 almost a year ago now we're three weeks away from this being a year old trial but it's been a clown

00:15:32.280 show from the prosecution from day one it's embarrassing to watch them but that's why they've

00:15:37.960 kept the work of the defense to a minimum because they've done such a good job of completely

00:15:47.400 demonstrating the innocence of tamara leach and chris forever it has really been

00:15:52.760 enlightening to watch how bad bad can be you know and tamara issued a statement today

00:16:00.600 and saying you know dear canada and i'm just going to read a couple lines i put my glasses on to do so

00:16:05.800 but as we head into day 41 of the longest mr trial of all time this was at the beginning of the week

00:16:11.560 this was when the trial resumed on tuesday i just want to extend my gratitude to all of you for your

00:16:16.600 overwhelming support your thoughtful and kind messages and for your prayers they mean more

00:16:22.680 than you can ever fully know and i appreciate all of you thanks to our legal teams who have been

00:16:28.120 nothing short of outstanding and to all of you supporters who continue to show up in court day

00:16:32.520 after day and yes the same people who were there on september 5th are there again we're there again today

00:16:38.680 11 months later this political persecution has been a slog to say the least i'm getting tired but

00:16:49.160 the fight must and will continue she says they likely thought i'd be some kind of shrinking violet

00:16:55.320 but they picked on the wrong canadian prairie woman freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose 0.99

00:17:02.200 janice drop one actually it's from a song i think i love you and we love you too tamara for what you've

00:17:12.280 done and you continue to fight and yes i know they're getting a lot of their legal bills paid for

00:17:20.360 thank god because they would be ruined they would have had to they would have had to sell their house

00:17:25.960 and their car and anything they own to survive this part thank god there are concerned people out

00:17:31.720 there raising money for them concerned interest conservative interest groups that are helping

00:17:36.520 them they're not paying for the hotel bills they're not paying for the gas they're not paying for the

00:17:42.280 food that it takes when you come out here from ottawa and you have to live here for a week they were

00:17:49.720 expecting to go back today thanks to the crown again thank you crown they're not going back till next

00:17:55.880 friday so they've got to spend another week in ottawa thank you crown for your hard work and what the

00:18:03.320 hell you think you're doing you're not working for canadians how many millions of dollars do you

00:18:09.240 suppose have got have the crown has put into this on a mischief charge just to try to convict two

00:18:15.400 freedom fighters millions of dollars have gone into this i mean how in the hell would they have noticed

00:18:22.680 a woman was wearing the same hoodie with the same slogan on it as tamara leach who would have known 1.00

00:18:29.400 that great moment today in the trial when diane magus talked about what does hold the line mean and of 0.98

00:18:38.280 course the idiots in the in the prosecution side say this is some sort of insidious phrase this is 0.98

00:18:45.480 some sort of insurrectional insurrectionist phrase you say hold the line you're trying to take over 0.99

00:18:51.960 the government or you're trying to resist authorities but yet they have there's a video clip i wish i had

00:18:58.680 it right now of former premier brian peckford who was out there supporting the freedom convoy with both

00:19:05.800 guns and you better say that metaphor i'm saying it metaphorically both guns shipping he said the same thing

00:19:15.720 we need to hold the line because this is about our charter of rights is it real or not

00:19:23.960 it's not a privilege to have freedom of speech it's not a privilege to have freedom of assembly it's not

00:19:29.800 a privilege to have the right to protest that is guaranteed in the charter of rights

00:19:36.440 does it exist for tamara leach and chris barber does that right exist for you and i will we have

00:19:41.720 freedom of speech if justin trudeau passes his online harms act and crushes us further no we won't

00:19:47.160 so that's why this trial is so important that's why i've been there from day one and i will continue

00:19:51.080 to report about this trial because it is seminal in the history of canada it's all about our freedom

00:19:57.720 and justin trudeau's desire to take that freedom away yeah doug ford's desire to take that freedom away

00:20:04.200 away and every tin pot little dictator who thinks he or she is a good premier and took our rights away

00:20:11.480 during the pandemic who who stomped on our constitutional rights and they'll do it again 0.96

00:20:20.920 unless we say no and this is why i am here and that's why i'll stay here and i'm going to fight

00:20:27.160 for freedom i'm going to fight for free speech and freedom of assembly and everything that's going on

00:20:32.200 in this freedom convoy trial thank you for your comments coming in by the way i'm going to read

00:20:35.640 some before we we sign out today i'm tired it's been a long day but i'm really really enthused

00:20:44.680 about what happened at this courthouse today because i saw some truth and i talked to tamara

00:20:50.920 tamara told me you know she's had some nasty emails i won't elaborate because i didn't ask her if i could

00:20:57.320 talk about it but she told me she's had some very nasty emails this week from very hateful people

00:21:03.720 there's a lot of people who hate tamara leach because she stood up and she resisted 0.94

00:21:08.760 dictatorship and totalitarian impulses from our trudeau government they hate her for that 1.00

00:21:14.600 they really do but there's a lot of people there who love tamara leach and here's here's one of them i

00:21:19.960 just want to show you this this clip that i did today so we're outside the courthouse now

00:21:24.280 and we have one supporter of tamara and tamara leach and chris barber

00:21:35.560 and he's

00:21:38.840 okay so so tell me your name please i'm mike quigley i'm a political artist i

00:21:46.680 reside in columbia british columbia and i've come across to

00:21:50.440 be able to support our political prisoners and my objective number one is through to educate

00:21:57.400 number two is to donate it doesn't matter the amount of donation but it's the number of canadians

00:22:03.560 that donate and say hey not in our canada and number three is to provide a tamara hug and if in fact we

00:22:11.720 hug one another we are canadians and we are known for our peacekeeping we can have a difference of

00:22:19.080 opinion we can go into a room we can leave with a handshake or a hug and that makes us definitively

00:22:25.000 canadian different than anywhere else in the world and i think it's time that we take our dna and put it

00:22:30.440 back into the world of peace and and understand what our position is in the world and so that's my objective

00:22:39.800 to pass on a a vote of confidence for this world we don't need more government we just need more

00:22:47.080 love so you say you're you are collecting donations no i i do not i just direct people to help tamara.com

00:22:56.440 in this case friday night pat king's got a bit of a um a music festival that tamara is going to be 1.00

00:23:03.720 singing at and i'd like to support this uh pat king this friday and where is that happening

00:23:10.520 i apologize i'm not from the area i'm from colonna so you'd have to refer to

00:23:17.480 or somebody with more knowledge of the city okay well thank you and we i'll get i will find out where

00:23:24.120 that's happening here i just i'm just going to get some other shots here this is chris barber in

00:23:29.560 the background good morning and of course uh this trial today has been all about chris so far

00:23:36.920 i kind of feel good it's a good day it's nice to be on the defense right well i think you're

00:23:42.440 ably defended you've got a great lawyer there today and uh from what i from what i saw today it

00:23:49.080 doesn't look like you were encouraging anybody to gridlock the city so that was coming up oh wait

00:23:56.440 for it the truth will always come out i don't know if your timeline is such that

00:24:02.600 and there's and there's tamara now we'll be back

00:24:11.560 so that was a moment there with chris barber and tamara leach and

00:24:15.320 and somebody who's really doing what they can to fight for freedom and i think that is

00:24:22.920 absolutely outstanding and thank you for your thank you for doing that and it was it's been a

00:24:28.840 really resounding day i just want to read some of your comments here and uh see we're getting a lot

00:24:34.680 from there uh gene baker this should have never happened to tamara or chris they did nothing wrong

00:24:46.120 yeah

00:24:52.920 this is uh the power of three and me if a federal judge ruled already emergency act illegal

00:24:59.160 and against the bill of rights how can this even continue

00:25:03.800 well exactly how can it even continue but it is

00:25:15.320 uh no i don't always know what that was about

00:25:26.040 jacob durant they hate us all for speaking the truth

00:25:28.920 thank you for the update dave well it's a pleasure thank you

00:25:46.600 thank you and thank you all for watching this show and it's it is a pleasure to be here

00:25:52.840 and it's a pleasure to be a part of this experience so that
