Justin Trudeau wants to ban all forms of disinformation and misinformation across the entire Internet. What does this mean for our freedom of speech, and why should we be worried about it? David answers that question and much more in this episode of Stand On Guard.
00:00:53.000But more so, you know, I'm really being suppressed because these broadcasts are not getting out to anybody except the audience I already have.
00:01:37.320It's very brief, and I'll explain why I think this is quite ominous.
00:01:41.440But this is Justin Trudeau speaking Thursday, that's yesterday, in St. John's, Newfoundland, at a summit that was hastily, as it's been described, hastily organized between Canada and the European Union.
00:01:57.440So all of these European Union leaders came to Canada to hear Justin Trudeau declare how wonderful he's doing fighting climate change and censoring our news.
00:02:13.700All the innovators here, as we think of the digital hub that we'll be going to see tomorrow, and part of the reason why I'm so glad to have you here in Newfoundland and Labrador,
00:02:22.120where it's not just about the hard work that has always been around natural resources, it's also about envisioning the future in very exciting ways that Andrew has been leading on.
00:02:31.840You know, this is about the research and the innovation that's going to create a better future for all citizens.
00:02:37.160We're also talking about a digital partnership that is going to make a huge difference, building on that as we work together to understand the impacts of AI,
00:02:46.220the impacts of disinformation and misinformation on the social media that people get overwhelmed by in so many ways that tend to exacerbate our challenges.
00:02:55.860That's the big second announcement we're making.
00:02:57.920Aha! Get to, get to, challenges, blah, blah, blah.
00:03:04.960That's the second announcement we're making.
00:03:06.920So, Justin's going to take all of those challenges away for you.
00:03:12.020Don't worry anymore about all that disinformation and misinformation on social media.
00:06:06.340And I tell you, it's bad news just for everybody, not just for me, not just for independent media, not just for new media, where I continue to work as a journalist, as a columnist.
00:06:19.980But even the legacy media, where I used to work, where I used to work, they are going to be in trouble, too.
00:06:28.500Because if they say the wrong thing, even though they're subsidized by Justin Trudeau, by the Trudeau government, if they say the wrong thing, they're gone.
00:06:40.860No such thing as loyalty with Justin Trudeau.
00:06:42.880You don't say what he wants you to say, you're out of there.
00:06:46.700So this is a very bad piece of legislation that's coming, and Trudeau talked about it.
00:06:51.740I find this comment very interesting from Alberta Premier Daniel Smith.
00:06:56.440I'd like to know, how are the talks going between Alberta and the feds with regards to the clean electricity regulations?
00:07:08.960Because, of course, the clock is ticking on this whole file.
00:07:12.040Well, we're getting pretty frustrated, because they've had a Supreme Court loss now that says that they cannot use their federal power as a pretext to invade provincial jurisdiction.
00:07:23.220And they're acting like that Supreme Court case didn't happen.
00:07:25.960They had another loss on the issue of plastics, which was also an unconstitutional overreach and unreasonable.
00:07:32.000And instead of accepting the court's judgment, they're going to drag it out again.
00:07:35.580So we've got a lawless federal government.
00:07:40.960Yep, they ignore Supreme Court rulings they don't like.
00:07:45.120And I told you the other day about Stephen Gilboa's news conference on Monday, where he said he's going to appeal to the United Nations to institute a plastics ban treaty,
00:08:00.780because the federal court in Canada ruled against the Trudeau government's ban on single-use plastics.
00:08:09.560So Gilboa said, I'm going to go to the UN and appeal there.
00:08:15.460The good socialist, the proud socialist, actually a proud Marxist, and the good globalist is going to ignore Canadian law and go to the United Nations and get them to do the dirty work.
00:08:30.720That's what this government's all about.
00:08:32.720And of course, he's an acolyte of the UN, of the WEF, the World Economic Forum, I'm sure you all know, and of globalism per se.
00:08:41.720And that's how this lawless liberal government, as Premier Daniel Smith described it, operates.
00:08:51.720They make other laws to overrule them, or they appeal to globalist bodies, or they just rule by decree.
00:09:00.160And that's what I'm concerned about, folks, is that Justin Trudeau will eventually just decide to rule by decree and postpone our next election.
00:09:07.940I keep saying this, but mark my words, my friends, my viewers, mark my words.
00:09:15.060If Trudeau doesn't get what he wants, if the polls aren't looking good for him in two years' time, just watch him exploit whatever disaster, whatever catastrophe, whatever crisis, whatever incident he thinks he can use to stay in power.
00:09:37.800Watch him exploit those opportunities.
00:09:40.880It's always a great reset for Justin Trudeau.
00:09:43.400Every crisis, every disaster, every dilemma, everything is an opportunity to stay in power, to retain his grip on power, and watch him do that.
00:09:55.820Now, this is quite interesting, because, you know, I've been talking about how Trudeau wants to eliminate social media and the Internet from any form of misinformation, disinformation.
00:10:12.920He wants to get rid of that, and, you know, supposedly, and he wants to make it safe for you with the Online Safety Act.
00:10:21.080Let's have a look at how he does when it comes to misinformation, disinformation.
00:10:26.040You might remember he decided he wanted his own YouTube channel.
00:10:30.200So it's the Justin Trudeau starring in his own YouTube channel, and it's not doing too well.
