00:00:00.660 Welcome back to another Stand on Guard. I'm your host, David Creighton.
00:00:04.460 And when we come back, I'm going to tell you how czar Stephen Gilboa has done it again.
00:00:14.400 So we are in a very precarious position in this country.
00:00:18.640 We need political change, but we also need to resolve to resist.
00:00:30.000 Yeah, so Stephen Gilboa, our Environment and Climate Change Minister, has done it again.
00:00:42.360 He's putting incredible demands on Canadians, all in the name of fighting climate change.
00:00:50.740 He's got a cap now on methane.
00:00:54.580 He wants net zero in electricity.
00:00:57.380 And it all sounds like a Stalinist five-year plan.
00:01:01.580 Everything's going to happen in these four- to five-year increments.
00:01:05.660 And, of course, here's the latest.
00:01:09.320 I want you all to see this.
00:01:10.640 I'm going to read from this story here.
00:01:12.480 This is the government finalizes rules forcing all new cars to be electric by 2035.
00:01:20.160 Let's just read this story here because it is absolutely fascinating.
00:01:27.380 Environment Minister Stephen Gilboa released the new rules on Tuesday at a press conference in Toronto.
00:01:32.720 The rules set targets for carmakers,
00:01:34.960 mandating that 20% of their sales are electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles by 2026,
00:01:41.840 60% by 2030, and 100% by 2035.
00:01:47.580 The rules apply to light-duty vehicles like cars and SUVs as well as some pickup trucks.
00:01:52.340 Automakers who miss their targets will face financial penalties.
00:01:59.340 But they can avoid them by buying credits from other automakers.
00:02:04.960 What, does this sound like socialism?
00:02:07.460 Well, Gilboa is a proud socialist.
00:02:09.840 Sounds like outright communism to me.
00:02:12.020 They can also receive credits for building electric vehicle chargers
00:02:16.780 and can earn credits for sales that come in advance of the new rules coming into place in 2026.
00:02:25.320 So Flavio Volpe, the president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association,
00:02:31.120 said the rules will undercut the domestic industry after the federal government spent billions
00:02:36.500 to attract new battery plants and other facilities.
00:02:40.180 The environment minister, he says, is creating an overly aggressive adoption scheme
00:02:45.300 that can only be met by importing vehicles from China and Vietnam at the moment.
00:02:51.800 All right, so what does that mean?
00:02:55.660 Let's have a look at what Mr. Gilboa is doing to sell his electric vehicles to you.
00:03:03.420 Last time you paid only $10 to drive 400 kilometers.
00:03:07.500 That's the advantage of choosing a zero-emission vehicle.
00:03:10.880 There's a whole new clean electricity world coming, and zero-emission vehicles are a big part of it.
00:03:16.880 Today, we're introducing regulated sales targets for new light-duty vehicles.
00:03:21.600 The goal?
00:03:22.480 To support Canada's plan to ensure that all new light-duty passenger vehicle sales are zero-emission vehicle by 2035.
00:03:29.580 This is a win for Canada in so many ways.
00:03:32.060 Cleaner air, healthier communities, and huge savings in both fuel and maintenance costs for drivers over the lifetime of their vehicles.
00:03:42.800 And Canadians are getting on board.
00:03:45.340 Across Canada already, one in eight of every new vehicle sold today is either fully electric or plug-in hybrid.
00:03:52.240 Our plan will help increase the supply and reduce the wait time to buy or lease zero-emission vehicles in all parts of the country.
00:03:59.920 And new investments in auto plants, battery plants, and mines for critical minerals are breeding life into our communities with new, well-paying jobs.
00:04:09.420 With the help of provinces and the private sector, we're building a vast network of charging stations from coast to coast.
00:04:17.180 That means you will never be far when it comes time to recharge.
00:04:20.260 Reaching our goal of ensuring all new car sales or electric by 2035 also tackles one of the biggest sources of pollution in our country, fueling the climate crisis.
00:04:30.900 So this is also helping to fight the wildfires, the droughts, and the floods caused by climate change, while it also cuts down on the smug which hurts the health of our families.
00:04:42.700 It's why the world is driving toward a cleaner future, and we're making sure Canada remains in the driver's seat.
00:04:50.260 All right, Gilbo is clearly in nuts.
00:04:55.560 He is a complete moron.
00:04:57.160 He keeps talking about fantasy.
00:05:01.640 Electric vehicles are not going to replace gas-powered ones any time soon.
00:05:09.220 It's just not going to happen.
00:05:12.280 The reason?
00:05:14.060 Two things you'll never hear Gilbo, the car salesman.
00:05:17.040 And would you buy a new or a used electric vehicle from this man?
00:05:22.540 No, I don't think so.
00:05:23.780 But what Gilbo never tells you is that there's a worldwide battery shortage, and it takes a tremendous amount of effort,
00:05:36.480 sometimes at the expense of child labor, to get the materials, to extract the materials to make these batteries.
00:05:43.820 We cannot make enough batteries, and the lifespan of a battery is very, very short, and it's very expensive to replace your battery.
00:05:55.340 So he's talking about, oh, it's only, what, $40 to drive 100 kilometers.
00:06:00.740 He's making it up, of course, because he's not telling you the cost of the battery and to change the battery because it's going to burn out.
00:06:09.600 So I'll show you another video later that goes into this.
00:06:14.480 But the other problem, of course, is that if you own an electric vehicle that you have to charge in your garage,
00:06:21.320 you're going to have to make a decision as to whether or not you're going to run the washing machine or the dishwasher that week or keep your car charged.
00:06:31.540 They suck up that much energy.
00:06:34.140 So Gilbo is clearly lying.
00:06:37.140 Let's have a look at this.
00:06:38.320 Yes.
00:06:42.080 As Holly Doan tweeted, he has completely lied about the statistics.
00:06:48.660 He's completely lied about how cheap this is going to be.
00:06:54.420 And he knows it.
00:06:58.060 He's selling you a concept based on his obsession with climate change.
00:07:05.000 He is an environmental extremist.
00:07:07.180 He doesn't care if you can't drive.
00:07:10.940 He doesn't care if you can't afford an electric vehicle.
00:07:17.020 He doesn't care if he's going to shut the lights off on you, keep the heat off on you, because that's all part of fighting climate change, people.
00:07:25.520 Let's have a look at this.
00:07:29.520 Yes, there she is.
00:07:31.820 Stolen my dreams and my childhood.
00:07:36.000 What about this poor child labor here?
00:07:41.760 He's getting that cobalt for your electric car as fast as I can, Greta Thunberg.
00:07:47.440 So that's not that's more than an irony.
00:07:51.480 That's a tragedy.
00:07:53.400 Child labor is being used to get the materials for these cars, and we can't get it fast enough.
00:08:01.140 So Gilbo is creating a human rights disaster, an environmental disaster, and an economic catastrophe, all in the name of fighting climate change.
00:08:12.160 This man is mad.
00:08:14.860 Trudeau and Gilbo are the madmen of the liberal government.
00:08:18.900 They are selling you a complete lie, a distortion of reality, because they are obsessed with climate change, because they think it's going to keep your attention focused on an issue that doesn't even need to be solved.
00:08:35.000 There is no coming catastrophe.
00:08:37.200 Because if you focus on climate change, you won't focus on the fact he's taking your rights away as a citizen.
00:08:45.320 He's censoring your free speech.
00:08:47.380 He's taking your freedom to protest away.
00:08:50.580 He's pushing agendas like medical assistance in dying, and he is pushing a culture of death.
00:09:01.760 No problem.
00:09:04.520 No problem.
00:09:05.200 No problem.
00:09:05.800 So what did that video of Gilbo remind you of?
00:09:11.820 There he is.
00:09:12.920 Now he's a car salesman.
00:09:14.500 Not just a stuntman for Greenpeace.
00:09:16.940 Not just a failure as a federal cabinet minister.
00:09:20.700 But.
00:09:22.220 ...pumps.
00:09:23.420 The thermopomps electric.
00:09:25.640 They're an efficient, affordable, cleaner way to both heat and cool your home.
00:09:31.480 That's why everyone's talking about that.
00:09:33.220 I'm here with the Minister O'Regan to talk a little bit about what we're doing.
00:09:37.600 So here he is.
00:09:39.640 Here's Justin with Seamus, or shall we say shameful O'Regan, trying to sell heat pumps and even pretends he's installing one.
00:09:49.640 But just like his environment and climate change minister, Justin Trudeau can't tell the truth.
00:09:56.540 That these heat pumps don't work in the Canadian winter.
00:10:01.420 And you've got to plug them in.
00:10:03.460 Yeah, there's no magic power source for them, Justin.
00:10:07.880 You've got to plug them into the electricity grid.
00:10:11.340 Which, by the way, in Atlantic Canada would be overpowered by heat pumps if everybody decided to get one.
00:10:21.340 If they could afford one.
00:10:22.600 And, haha, there's no so-called free heat pump for most Canadians in this country because they're not living below the poverty line.
00:10:31.840 Let's hear a little more from Justin.
00:10:34.600 We've been working with provinces and territories right across the country to make sure we're installing heat pumps and phasing out home heating oil.
00:10:46.940 Hey, I'm just doing a quick little video here just to give.
00:10:51.360 Now, I briefly broke into that third video, but this is fascinating because this guy is going to explain to you why it's so cost prohibitive to operate an electric vehicle.
00:11:05.460 But once again, that's not what Justin Trudeau or Stephen Gilboa are telling you.
00:11:11.860 This is some kind of panacea.
00:11:13.660 It's going to be so inexpensive to drive your electric vehicle.
00:11:19.860 Not so.
00:11:21.240 Let's listen.
00:11:22.560 ...an idea of how much energy it takes to charge an electric vehicle.
00:11:28.640 I'm at Electrify America.
00:11:30.160 There's a 350 kilowatt station.
00:11:33.080 I'm consuming roughly 137 kilowatts.
00:11:37.940 It'll fluctuate.
00:11:38.800 Sometimes I can go up to the full 350.
00:11:40.680 But to put this into perspective, an average home consumes 1.25 kilowatts per hour, 135 kilowatts per hour.
00:11:54.880 It's like the equivalent of 106 homes on the grid, just this one station.
00:12:01.220 Now, if I was going to get the full 350 kilowatts like these can supply, that would be the equivalent of 280 homes.
00:12:11.080 Now, think about all six chargers running at full capacity.
00:12:16.720 That's like 1,080 homes on the grid.
00:12:20.480 Just a little food for thought.
00:12:22.840 It's things people don't realize the amount of energy it takes to fast charge these batteries.
00:12:30.400 It's a huge amount of electricity.
00:12:34.660 And now you understand why the electric companies can't even supply that much power to one spot.
00:12:41.820 It's like, think of 1,600 homes and how much copper and wire that would take to supply that many houses.
00:12:50.800 Yeah.
00:12:51.780 So, it is a complete lie to suggest this is somehow cost effective.
00:13:00.420 It's not.
00:13:01.020 And, as we've seen, it has consequences on other aspects of life as well, including, ironically, the environment.
00:13:12.060 Basically, this involves strip mining to get these essential ingredients for these batteries.
00:13:22.960 And it's just not going to happen.
00:13:25.540 But I've saved the best for last because what do you think is really going on here?
00:13:30.280 I mean, what is this all about?
00:13:31.920 Why is there some plan for 2026 and 2030, then 2035?
00:13:39.940 I mean, this is nothing but communist economic planning.
00:13:46.400 And it's all being dictated to from the World Economic Forum.
00:13:50.740 Because, if you notice, Canada is not the only country to be talking about these things happening in these specific years.
00:13:59.040 These years are being mandated by globalist forces.
00:14:04.760 Now, what are they up to here?
00:14:07.740 Because, clearly, it is not in your best interest to buy a cost-prohibitive electric vehicle that is going to basically charge you so much money, it's going to be impossible to operate.
00:14:23.500 And if you can't get a new gas-powered car, and you can't get the fossil fuels to power it, the government, the state, will be forcing you to buy an EV that you can't afford to buy or to operate.
00:14:43.820 So, what are they intending to do?
00:14:47.960 They want to get you off the road.
00:14:51.160 They don't want you to drive.
00:14:53.360 They don't want you to have the freedom to get in your car and drive to work.
00:14:57.680 Get in your car, drive and see your friends and family.
00:15:00.700 Get in your car and take a vacation.
00:15:03.100 Because that's all about old-fashioned democracy in action, isn't it?
00:15:07.640 And that's not what these people are selling.
00:15:10.520 They're selling an authoritarian, globalist view of society where the state tells you when you can go, how you can go, and where you can go.
00:15:23.080 That's at the root of what Stephen Gilboa, the authoritarian from Greenpeace, and Justin Trudeau, the authoritarian from Klaus Schwab's world of the World Economic Forum, that's what they're selling.
00:15:41.260 And this is the most frightening aspect of this insistence that we can't operate gas-powered cars anymore.
00:15:51.340 Because it's going to mean most people will not be able to afford to drive a car at all.
00:15:58.560 And that's what these people are trying to do.
00:16:02.340 So, yes, you can say that they're moronic.
00:16:05.420 You can say that they're imbecilic.
00:16:07.680 You can say they're just plain stupid.
00:16:09.940 With formulating plans like this.
00:16:13.940 But you can also say they're damned authoritarian and they want to take away your rights of mobility.
00:16:22.720 That's what this is really all about.
00:16:26.060 And I'm sounding the alarm every time Gilboa opens his big mouth and takes your rights away as a citizen of Canada.
00:16:34.380 You've got to call this guy out because all he is is a climate change czar who's trying to sell you a car you can't afford and can't afford to drive.
00:16:45.880 And he's also telling you, I don't care if you have to starve.
00:16:50.420 I don't care if you have to freeze.
00:16:52.160 I don't care if you can't have lights on your house to read.
00:16:55.660 Because we're fighting climate change.
00:17:00.380 And that's what it's all about is you denying your basics.
00:17:05.300 Well, he never will.
00:17:07.140 He can fly to China and spend $140,000 over two days while he's hobnobbing with his Bolshevik buddies in Beijing.
00:17:16.440 That's okay because he's an emissary of climate change and he can fly all over the world just like Justin Trudeau.
00:17:24.960 Jet setting, going to climate change conferences, whining and dining, virtue signaling by the day because that's okay.
00:17:34.820 He's one of the special folks who's doing this for the greater good of fighting climate change.
00:17:42.420 But I think you know as well as I do, it's a fraud and a sham.
00:17:48.740 So please like this broadcast if you haven't done so already.
00:17:52.640 If you haven't subscribed, please do subscribe and support us in any way.
00:17:59.200 I'm going to be continuing to do broadcasts throughout Christmas because, my God, look around you.
00:18:07.620 This is a very unsettled world right now.
00:18:10.840 And we are plummeting into the abyss economically and with a potential war that is still threatening in Ukraine and is increasingly escalating in the Middle East.
00:18:24.580 So I'll be on top of these issues, even though Justin Trudeau is on vacation, even though the House of Commons won't be back until February.
00:18:33.000 We're going to stay on top of these issues to give you the news you need to know and the issues that you need to hear about.
00:18:42.580 Thanks for watching today and I'll be back soon.
00:18:46.340 I'll be back soon.
