00:00:00.000 Welcome back to another Take 5, Stand on Guard with David Creighton.
00:00:04.380 I'm your host, David Creighton.
00:00:06.300 We're back today just to talk about the cabinet shuffle.
00:00:10.260 If you haven't heard, everything was leaked yesterday.
00:00:13.720 But they all went to Rideau Hall, 1030, and guess what?
00:00:19.880 It's a whole new cabinet, 24 new different cabinet managers.
00:00:25.300 So we are in a very precarious position in this country.
00:00:28.400 We need political change, but we also need to resolve to resist.
00:00:42.220 Some prominent members kicked out.
00:00:45.400 And Trudeau, of course, asked about this.
00:00:48.180 No answer.
00:00:49.800 Yeah, love everybody.
00:00:51.580 Everybody's great.
00:00:53.040 Look forward to meeting with them again when they're just ordinary MPs.
00:00:56.140 So before I get into that, I did want to say I want to thank my audience for supporting independent journalism.
00:01:05.700 We have been monetized on YouTube, and we're going to build on that monetization.
00:01:10.780 It's very important.
00:01:11.840 And I couldn't have done this without your support.
00:01:14.180 But we're a small channel, hopefully going to get a bigger one.
00:01:18.060 But I continue to need your support.
00:01:20.260 Please continue to subscribe and ring that bell.
00:01:24.400 I know it's annoying to ask, but got to do it because it's really part of the process here.
00:01:30.940 And I would also say that we also have a voluntary subscription option on my Substack.
00:01:38.540 And I would encourage you to go to my Substack.
00:01:41.000 It's www.DavidCrayton.Substack.com.
00:01:44.500 And I have a lot of material up there every week, a lot of it.
00:01:48.440 And increasingly, a lot of it is new to Substack and unique, singular to Substack.
00:01:55.220 So I encourage you to have a look at that today.
00:01:58.080 And we are looking at a number of options to increase monetization, to increase how we can better serve you, our audience.
00:02:08.440 But enough said about that.
00:02:11.140 So there was a cabinet shuffle today.
00:02:12.720 I'm sure you may have heard.
00:02:14.740 But it's interesting.
00:02:15.440 I want to focus on the fact that, you know, you can have a bad deck of cards, and you can keep getting a bad hand.
00:02:25.220 Yes, there's no good cards in the hand.
00:02:26.800 Or you sing as well.
00:02:28.460 You can have a usual deck of cards, but you keep dealing yourself a bad hand.
00:02:34.200 And that's exactly what Justin Trudeau has done.
00:02:36.640 Because you know what?
00:02:38.140 He shuffled a lot of positions, 24 positions.
00:02:41.240 But he didn't shuffle himself out of there.
00:02:43.000 And no matter what happens with his cabinet ministers, they're all following the orders of Justin Trudeau.
00:02:49.880 So as long as that happens, ain't nothing going to change with his cabinet.
00:02:56.040 But it is interesting who exactly was exiled.
00:03:02.520 And I say that, you know, not literally.
00:03:05.620 But I mean, literally.
00:03:07.640 They were exiled from the Trudeau cabinet, from his inner sanctum, his inner circle.
00:03:14.560 And I want to focus on four members today.
00:03:17.680 I think most predominantly was the former Minister of Public Safety, Marco Mendicino.
00:03:27.500 Always kind of has that rhymes well or sounds well with mendacious.
00:03:32.640 Because he really had trouble coming up with truth.
00:03:36.060 And Mendicino's gone.
00:03:39.080 You think he's mad about that?
00:03:40.360 You bet he is.
00:03:41.840 Because he followed Justin Trudeau's orders.
00:03:45.740 He was the one who said that the long gun registry had something to do with catching Mark with me.
00:03:50.220 He was the one who said that the RCMP had turfed out all these Chinese police stations.
00:03:55.060 He was the one that said that there was no, that the police had told him, the Trudeau government, to invoke the Emergencies Act.
00:04:08.660 And, of course, no.
00:04:13.100 The OPP, the RCMP, the Ottawa Police Service all said, nope, they never asked for it.
00:04:18.920 So, something wrong there, isn't there?
00:04:22.040 And, of course, there was that whole Paul Bernardo thing.
00:04:24.400 I think what really sealed it for Mendicino when he said he had no knowledge of infamous convicted killer, rapist, Paul Bernardo, being moved from a maximum to a minimum security prison.
00:04:41.300 He just pretended he knew nothing about it.
00:04:44.420 So, either he was not telling the truth, or he's bloody incompetent that he doesn't listen to his staff or doesn't have staff that can tell him something that's significant.
00:04:55.200 Obviously, it was going to make news.
00:04:56.920 I think that was the end of Mendicino.
00:04:59.600 And we were hearing murmurings about that a little while ago.
00:05:05.480 So, Mendicino's out of there.
00:05:07.240 Number two, which really surprised me, I did not expect this this week, was Justice Minister David Lamedy.
00:05:14.460 He's out the door.
00:05:17.080 Another guy who took a lot of the heat for Trudeau on a lot of files.
00:05:22.300 But it was Lamedy who, earlier this year, made the ridiculous statement that the federal government needed to look at the possibility of taking natural resource jurisdiction away from the provinces.
00:05:36.640 That set off a firestorm in the provinces that have natural resources, namely Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, but mainly Alberta, because that's who this federal government is always targeting.
00:05:48.360 The federal government has absolutely no constitutional right to do that or even to ask the questions, even if it's for the chiefs of First Nations who are always looking for their piece of the pie.
00:06:01.880 They always want more so they can continue their jet-setting lifestyle at the expense of the average indigenous person who lives in poverty because the chiefs are taking all the money.
00:06:13.260 But that's another point.
00:06:16.380 Lamedy was also the one who started Trudeau's internet censorship legislation.
00:06:23.520 It was handed over to Heritage because Justice was just too hot with Justice.
00:06:28.000 It looked more like something innocuous when Heritage Canada did it.
00:06:33.580 And that's obviously what happened there.
00:06:34.940 But Lamedy, I think, is one of his most embarrassing moments when it was revealed he wanted to bring the military in and some tanks to quell the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa.
00:06:48.260 As he was cowering in his office and talking about, I'm getting out of town, folks.
00:06:53.080 I'm getting out this weekend because I'm afraid of these truckers.
00:06:56.560 Lamedy, an embarrassment as a justice minister, as Attorney General of Canada, an embarrassment, and a clown, always a clown, but faithful clown to Justin Trudeau.
00:07:11.680 And the third member of this group of four who's out, the fourth member is not out, but he's just been shuffled around, is Omar El-Gabra.
00:07:23.860 Now, El-Gabra was notorious as the transport minister who was responsible for Arrive Can, one of the most ridiculous, unnecessary, and destructive pieces of legislation ever devised by a federal government.
00:07:38.860 It completely snarled up air travel.
00:07:42.140 We had people sleeping, literally sleeping for days in airports because they were waiting for flights.
00:07:47.840 Huge lineups to check to make sure you're a vaccine and snarled up the U.S.-Canada border to tourism, to trade, and to everything that was really important.
00:08:05.840 Just so we could say we're not letting in the unvaccinated.
00:08:09.020 You know, it was impossible to come back to Canada while going into a COVID hotel.
00:08:14.940 It was a disaster, a bureaucratic mess, and one of the dumbest things this stupid liberal government did.
00:08:22.220 It has done.
00:08:24.320 So he didn't even wait to be turped out.
00:08:26.640 He said he's resigning.
00:08:28.700 He's not running again.
00:08:31.860 So he's out.
00:08:33.360 Who's the fourth member I want to talk about quickly here?
00:08:35.760 Oh, yes, Bill Blair.
00:08:40.020 You recall Bill Blair.
00:08:42.220 They brought this former police chief into Ottawa to serve the liberals so they could get the marijuana legislation passed.
00:08:52.300 So what did they do with him after that?
00:08:54.160 They made him border security man.
00:08:56.120 At a time when tens of thousands of illegal immigrants were crossing the border from New York into Quebec and Ontario.
00:09:06.460 And we were putting them up in four-star hotels and everywhere else we could find.
00:09:11.840 And using the large chests of the federal government completely in their favor.
00:09:15.840 Giving them everything they wanted.
00:09:18.300 Free health care.
00:09:20.960 Free lawyers.
00:09:22.160 Giving them everything that a lot of Canadian citizens don't have access to, but illegals do.
00:09:30.160 So I called Bill Blair the open borders minister because he had no interest in keeping the borders secure.
00:09:35.860 He did nothing to keep the borders secure.
00:09:37.820 So where is he now?
00:09:39.260 National defense.
00:09:41.220 Is he going to keep our borders secure?
00:09:43.060 Well, there's only one border that Bill Blair and this Trudeau government is really concerned about.
00:09:48.120 And that's the border in Ukraine.
00:09:51.060 They want to keep that border sacrosanct.
00:09:53.940 And they want to keep that war going for as long as it takes.
00:09:59.280 That's the border he's worried about.
00:10:03.120 And you can expect more of the same from Bill Blair's defense minister.
00:10:07.920 He's going to pour billions of dollars into a war that is eating up Europe.
00:10:12.980 And that is hollowing out Ukraine and which the Ukrainians cannot and will not win.
00:10:21.000 Who's winning?
00:10:22.440 Well, arguably, the only ones who are really winning in this conflict are the armaments industry.
00:10:28.220 Yes, because they continue to make more arms that we throw away and everything gets burned up.
00:10:37.000 It's a bit like the First World War, isn't it?
00:10:39.040 Yeah.
00:10:39.780 Kind of useless.
00:10:40.760 Anyway, that's my take on the cabinet shuffle.
00:10:45.920 You know, the old cliche about a cabinet shuffle is like rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic.
00:10:52.620 It doesn't mean that the imminent catastrophe has been alleviated, lessened, or averted.
00:11:00.460 It just means things look a little different for a while.
00:11:04.680 But I say, go back to that analogy of the cards.
00:11:07.820 Trudeau's just dealt himself another bad hand because he's the one in charge.
00:11:14.580 He's the one they're all following orders from.
00:11:19.380 So expect more of the same.
00:11:22.580 And let's just hope these guys aren't there too long.
00:11:27.360 And they're transitory on the way to a new election, a new federal election, because we need a change of government.
00:11:34.360 And we've got to get rid of Justin Trudeau.
00:11:36.360 Trudeau must go now.
00:11:39.400 Anyway, for Stand on Guard, this has been another Take 5.
00:11:43.220 I want to thank you for watching and viewing.
00:11:46.240 Stay tuned.
00:11:47.080 We've got more coming for you this week.
00:11:49.600 So God bless you.
00:11:50.900 And I want to say goodbye for now.
00:11:52.340 I'm always going to be frank and as courageous as I can be in addressing these issues.
00:11:58.700 Because politicians in this day and age are largely craven.
00:12:06.180 Cowards.
00:12:07.800 I know it's a bit of advice.
00:12:10.100 But they are.
00:12:10.980 They are afraid to say anything that is going to offend anybody except those who don't complain.
00:12:21.460 And it's people like you who don't complain enough.
00:12:26.040 They can tread on your rights.
00:12:29.440 They can tell you that your opinions don't matter.
00:12:32.380 And you'll probably take it.
00:12:34.000 But it's time to fight back.
00:12:38.640 It's time to resolve, to resist.
00:12:42.180 And that's what we need to do in this country.
00:12:44.540 And that's what we're going to continue to do in this nation.
00:12:48.040 So I want to thank you for listening today.
00:12:50.180 Thank you for watching today.
00:12:51.260 I think we've got the information here that people who watch the nightly news aren't necessarily getting.
00:13:00.940 And that's the point.
00:13:01.780 And that's my goal, is to give you that information.
00:13:06.640 So for Creighton's Right, from Stand on Guard, I'm David Creighton, and I'm just happy to be able to talk to you again this week.
00:13:15.860 And I'll be back again soon with more information.
00:13:19.080 Thanks for watching.
00:13:31.780 We'll see you next time.
00:13:40.480 We'll be right back.
